(00:50):
Be ready, because not only areyou dealing with this rain suckedge all
over town. Don't say nothing toitaryat five to ten, but we've got
big problems. North Freeway at Cheppard. That's an accent. This is outbound,
not inbound, two left lane,so that's a good sign that they've
left the lane open. I don'tknow what's going on at Belford. This
is the Golf Freeway northbound. Iknow it's all lanes. I don't know
the severity. Don't know if we'vespelt something, but the Golf Freeway is

(01:11):
completely shut down. You could dothe feeder, you can do the Beltway,
you can do telephone road I'm Skymike. It's your Generator Supercenter dot Com
Traffic Center. Forecast today calling forshowers and thunderstorms all day, hi of
eighty seven, rain in the evening, and more storms overnight with a low
of seventy four. Yeah, that'sjust kind of the way it's going to
be really for the rest of theweek. I'll let Terry give you the

(01:34):
details on that coming up here atfive to ten. Right now, we
have an undetermined number of degrees.Let me see if I think seventy seven.
That's what we're going with at yourofficial severe weather station. New's Radio
seven forty k t r H andnow the morning news. Good morning Shauff,
Good morning everyone to sell five ohtwo on News Radio seven forty ktr
RAGE and our top story this hour. He's very much still the great,

(01:57):
he still has the job, andwe have a lot more to get done
on behalf of the American people.Oh, who's such enthusiasm? The White
House spokesperson Karine Jean Pierre on theView ABC talking about the lame duck President
Joe Biden. Hasn't been a fullpress briefing by the White House since July
fifteenth. The President, of course, has pulled out of the twenty twenty
four race and has been they say, sick with COVID. But we finally

(02:23):
did have a Biden's sighting yesterday aftersix days under wraps. Can Harris be
Trump? Can Harris beat Trump?Mister Providence, Yeah, it was long
distance. He didn't answer questions. He will speak to the country however,
tonight it's gonna be live and wewill carry it here KTRHKTRH dot com and

(02:46):
the iHeart Radio app. It startsat seven pm tonight. You can take
a look for yourself. Biden willaddress his leaving the race, which in
effect ends a fifty year plus politicalcareer. He will not be treated very
well by history. In his fouryears in office, he brought in more

(03:07):
illegal aliens than any other time inAmerican history. Hans von Spakowsky with a
Heritage Foundation. He says you canadd to that an adult lifetime of lies,
of plagiarism and yes, corruption. The anointed successor, Vice President Kamala
Harris, still not officially nominated, however, was on the campaign trail in

(03:29):
Wisconsin lying about President Donald Trump. We will stop Donald Trump's extreme abortion bands
because we trust women to make decisionsabout their own body. No abortion bans
from Donald Trump. He has consistentlysaid the issue of abortion should be left

(03:52):
up to the states, as hasbeen ruled by the US Supreme Court.
Trump has never proposed a national ban. We will hear from Donald Trump.
At five point thirty, Trump campaignfiling a complaint with the Federal Election Commission
accusing President Biden of violating campaign financelaws in the transfer of ninety one million
dollars in fundraising cash. Oh that'swhere she got some of that money to

(04:15):
Vice President Harris. Her campaign fiveoh four is our time under fire from
both Republicans and some Democrats. SecretService Director Kimberly Cheedle resigned in disgrace yesterday.
I'm very glad. I'm very gladthat the head that the head of
the Secret Service resigned, But that'snot going to be enough. Congressman Wesley

(04:36):
Hunt there of Texas. It comesjust one day after Cheadle testified to Congress
about the botched security in the assassination, attempt and murder of an American rally
goer. Let's not forget that theSecret Service telling the Trump campaign will stop
holding out door rallies. Yeah,if they can find available space. You

(04:58):
know there's that problem. So enteranother holdover from Obama. Ronald Rowe is
his name. He's got deep tiesto the intelligence community under Obama. Now
appointed as the acting Secret Service Director, appointed by yet another Obama holdover,
DHS Secretary Alejandro Majorcas. Do yousee that Obama drain Running House Homeland Security

(05:21):
Committee held its own hearing to investigatewhat happened in Pennsylvania on July thirteenth.
This kid did some investigation. Hehad a drone out there days prior.
In that position was probably the bestposition outside the prem as far as I
could tell. So the shooter ranhis own drone. Texas Congressman Michael McCall,

(05:42):
the disgrace. Secret Service Director Cheatlerejected an invitation to testify in that
hearing yesterday, as did the DHSSecretary Mayorcas ultimately the boss. There FBI
Director Christopher Ray he stalled. Hesays he will testify, however, for
the House Judiciary Committee today. Repeatedly, Republican leadership has talked a big game

(06:04):
about holding the Biden administration accountable. But whatever changes? So why has all
of politics become so performative with allof the social media people having thoughts and
talking about things get absolutely blown allover the place. Newsmax contributor Jeffrey Lord

(06:24):
says he does think voters are finallywilling to hold politicians accountable. Now.
History says that when you know you'vegot a president where things go off tracked,
could be anything. It could bethe economy, it could be foreign
policy. What have you voters do? Respond to that? Lord says,
A major factor here is also partisanship, and unfortunately that will always be part
of our system. Ethan Buchannan NewsRadio seven forty KRH five oh six here

(06:47):
locally the two illegal aliens charging thecapital murder of twelve year old Joscelyn nunger
Ay was that happened last month? They've now turned on each other, allegedly,
court documents showing that Johann Martinez Ramjelhas claimed that Franklin Penya killed Nungarai
and Paena told police and Martine toldpolice that rang Hell committed the murder.

(07:14):
Harris County DA kim Ogg announcing thatthe commissary account of a County jail inmate
has been confiscated. It was beingused to launder money a prison drug ring.
Oh yeah, obviously drugs in thejail have led to deaths of inmates
in the jail fall in government custody. We cannot let that happen, Ox

(07:38):
says Joshua Sinclair. Lewis had moneysent to a PayPal account then transferred it
into his commissary account. Two ofhis family members have been terested as well.
Astro Is lost to Oakland again eightto two. They're still in first
place, tie though with the Marinersin the Al West. The series finale
with oapland this afternoon coverage one thirtyon Sports Talk seven ninety. The first

(08:00):
pitch will be just after two thirty. I'm sure with Ryar on News Radio
seven KTRH, how bad things arethe twenty twenty four elections, what's really
happening? Everything in your world? Here? And abroad News Radio seven forty
KTRH. Well, I guess wefile it under better late than never,
after a bipartisan weapon on Capitol Hilland the Oversight Committee on Tuesday or on

(08:26):
Monday. Finally, Kimberly Cheatle steppeddown yesterday, and now the real investigation
has to begin. Really appreciate youjoining us this morning at eight minutes after
five o'clock on this Wednesday, thetwenty fourth morning of the seventh month,
in the year of Our Lord twentytwenty four. Bob France in for Jimmy
once again, Kimberly Cheatle, thefailed Secret Service director, finally forced out.

(08:50):
Still trying to figure out exactly whyand what and for whom she was
covering up in her horrific testimony,in which again she was land based at
by both right and left, conservativeand left wing members of the Oversight Committee.
She's finally down now. No onecan understand why she didn't come to
that hearing with basic knowledge of thefacts, or much more likely, why

(09:15):
she had all of the basic knowledgeof the facts but pretended she did not
and refused to answer simple questions abouttimelines, about bullets or shell casings found
on the rooftop, about everything thatyou would think would be very very simple
to find out in the first coupleof hours after the event, she had

(09:35):
none of it, meaning she's notbeing honest. For whom is she covering
up? And do we know everythingwe think we know about the assassination attempt
on Donald Trump's life? That seemsto be the focus this morning, well
not just this morning, but movingforward. And now that she is out
and a new Secret Service director hasbeen appointed, the deputy director, who

(09:58):
is an Obama appoint by the way, who apparently has a little bit more
experience in this than she does, the question is how quickly will they be
able to sweep her out the doorand this mess under the rug so nobody
starts looking at it anymore, ornobody talks about it anymore. We're going
to talk about it, I canpromise you that, and a whole lot
of people on Capitol Hill are aswell. This doesn't end because she is

(10:20):
booted finally or forced to resign. This just begins now we need to find
out what she was covering up for. There are so many unanswered questions about
that. Meanwhile, Kamala on thetrail, as you just hearged, Shaa,
talk about telling lies about Donald Trump. Already, this is going to
get very interesting. All right, five ten, Let's get you Owen first.
It's always interesting on in the morning. Drive a scot Mike. All

(10:43):
right, now, go Freeway northboundat Belford. I can tell you nothing
good's happening here. Jumpin' Joe ison the screen with me. I'm gonna
ask him what he can tell aboutthat fire response. He's a fireman and
he knows he can just look upthe equipment sometimes and tell me what they're
doing. But northbound, all lanesof the Golf Freeway is shut down.
This r shutdown northbound and man okay, alternates, take the belt, Take

(11:07):
two eighty eight. Take telephone.A lot of people don't know about telephone.
The ladies on TV are going totell you. Take Highway three with
all those lights. Telephone. Thathas more laneage and the lights are better
too. Let's go north Freeway. What's up? They cleared Shepherd outbound?
Good forget it. Katie Freeway HeightsBoulevard. That's a stall truck a right
lane right before you're coming around thecurve to hit the Presidents. Katie Freeway

(11:28):
managed lanes at Bingle. Someone's runinto each other, and they're just about
to clear that north sam eastbound.Somebody probably driving too slow, touching their
brakes eastbound at TC gesture. Thatextent's been moved over, and the main
thing is the Golf Freeway. Ofcourse. The rain's coming down pretty much
all over the east half of town. Now over the map, I'll defer

(11:50):
to Terry. We're in the GeneratorSupercenter dot Com traffic Center. All right,
thank you very much. And yeah, let's defer to Terry right now.
I'll see what this forecast looks likethe rest of the week. Hey,
Terry, Well, I hate tosay it, it's looking rather soggy.
It's kind of setting up like weexpected, with one wave of low
pressure after another, a study aflow of moisture off the Gulf. We

(12:11):
had the heavy rain yesterday. We'relooking at some heavier showers and thunderstorms making
their way to the east side oftown for the moment, and they'll hang
around the coast as well. Thatlooks to be where the heaviest rain is
going to be at least for thenext couple hours, east of Houston and
to the south. But we're undera flood watch today starting at six o'clock
this morning until nine o'clock tonight, because we're going through these rounds of rain

(12:35):
and heavy rain at times low tomid eighties. Today, ninety percent chances
of more storms, heavy rain overnight, ninety percent chance of those thunderstorms
tomorrow again, the potential for heavyrain. It may ease up a little
bit Friday, fifty percent chants ofthunderstorms, but we still have more rain
into the weekend. All right,we will be ready for it because it

(12:58):
got no choice. Right now inlight rain falling at your official severe weather
station, News Radio seven forty KRH, It's Houston's morning news, brought to
you Biden, New South Windows solutions. Now back to Jimmy and Schera with
the info you need to take onthe day. Okay, eighteen minutes after
five o'clock. So, how arethings going on the honeymoon for Kamala Harris?

(13:20):
That's what most of the Trump supportersare calling. It a little bit
of a post announcement bump in thepolls, but still she is being destroyed
by and large. A deeper lookinside the real numbers conducted by Breitbart says
Kamala Harris's possible floor when it comesto numbers, is actually lower than Biden's

(13:41):
was, you know, the guythat they forced out. The potential for
downside for Democratic party for the Democratsparty wide is much bigger as well.
Republicans are rejoicing behind most of theor over most of the poles. According
to the numbers. He leads hernationally in the latest Reuters IPSOS poll by
six points, ranging out depending ondemographics, as high as eleven points.

(14:07):
However, the Democrats are celebrating atleast one Morning I'm sorry, not Morning
Console. Morning consult has Trump upto forty seven forty five, but a
slight Harris lead in the Uh wheredid that poll there was? It was
Reuters zipsos, was it Warrior's Zipso, uh huh that was the one that
shows her. I've got six pollshere and I'm trying to sort them all

(14:28):
out. Morning Consul Trump plus two, Quinnipiac Trump plus two, Independence Trump
fifty five, Harris forty one. That's a fourteen point bult bulge of there.
That's pretty extraordinary. Uh and uh, national ge. Let's see that's
national gener election. That's political pollsdot Com forty six forty five, Trump

(14:50):
plus one. So she's got she'sgot a plus two on one of these.
But at any rate, the pointbeing they're calling it a Harris honeymoon,
it will very quickly dissipate because I'vethey're just so thrilled, are a
lot of Democrats and Democrat leaning voters. They're thrilled that Joe Biden was finally
forced out. So it's I thinkDana Prino Shara said it really interestingly yesterday

(15:11):
on Fox News. You've ever beenon a really really long flight and you're
just starving, and you know, airline food sucks, but you've been there
so long. Finally they bring youthe meal and you're like, oh my
god, this is so good becauseyou're starving. That's how the Democrats are.
They have been trying so badly toget Joe Biden out of this thing
because they saw it was going andfinally he's gone. Here she comes,

(15:33):
Oh my gosh, this is sogood. They're going to find out they
just had a really really crappy one. Well, you know, I think
their timing is off, you know, because there's a lot of time yet
for all of this excitement to wearoff. The whole thing is about energizing
their voters, staunching the hemorrhaging ofminority voters and women voters and independence and

(15:54):
trying to get their own voters outto the polls with the excitement. Well,
there's excitement now, great, butthat's always temporary, you know,
especially in a taste like this. It's always temporary. But when it tastes
like this, it's certainly not becauseof the desperation of the of the event
for the decks. Okay, it'sfive twenty one. Let's do traffic.
Here's Mike clear the Golf freeway.South Side. Y it's funny south Side.

(16:15):
Larry comes from down Under. Heymorning sky, Mike. I did
the Richie Rich. I got onthe Kov lane on Golf. There's about
a good mile and a half oftraffic that's sit in there. There's a
lot of standing waters. I've hada few adventures into the concrete barrier of
death. Almost all right, watchout there, nicely said. And they
did just clear the Golf freeway wreck. So that was good. I think
the reason they had that block wasjust for the safety of the drivers and

(16:38):
the responders. Here. So herewe go. We've got this big pack
up now from Fuquay inbound you'll loseabout twelve minutes. I would stay the
course on the golf well, evenif this will clear up shortly. Let
me see, I've got to knowhere. You've got a one vehicle truck
accident. It in west you meanEast Freeway at the Sandjasino River Bridge.
Which way? Which way? We'llfigure that out. Give me a A.

(17:00):
I'm scrambling. I'm under pressure whilewe're trying to get this. You've
got the stall truck on the KadieFreeway that's at Heights Boulevard and it is
inbound right lane. Lookout after Yaleor before Yale. And also, okay,
this is inbound Sandacino River Bridge.I've got one more prop here.
Tim Jersey Village is on two ninetyhas got Mike at your car after them

(17:21):
inbound at timeline fire right lane,in the right shoulder or gone right now.
Don't see a big back up thatmakes it even a little scarier,
So watch out from Guestna. I'mSKYMIKEE on the Generator Supercenter dot Com traffic
Center. All right, Thanks Mike, and showers today, thunderstorms as well,
high of eighty seven, rain inthe evening, more storms overnight,
low seventy four. Storms continue Thursday, then into morning showers on Friday,

(18:48):
yesterday we had too. So nowthat the process is played out from the

Kamala Harris. I'm clapping. Youdon't have to do. Nobody clapped,
and he tried it again and becomethe next President of the United States of

(19:12):
America plusplause Hakeem unbelievably cringe worthy momentsthere. He tried to build it up
with his voice to let everybody know, this is what I expect because Kamala
Harris, and no one responded. And oh, by the way, Sharon,

(19:32):
the worst part about it wasn't thecringey lack of applause that he was
trying to build up there. Theworst part about it was did he just
say that Kamala Harris is going tobe their nominee based on a grassroots movement?
That he's so so now that theprocess is played out from the grassroots
bottom up, help me out here, Sharon, What what does grassroots mean?
Maybe I've been defining it wrong allof my entire adult and far.

(19:56):
She has zero votes zero. Shehas zero votes from voters right, not
a single Democrat voter voted for ina primary because she didn't run in a
primary, and she tried to runfour years ago in that primary, but
she was out by December. Shenever even made it to Iowa. So
she literally has never had a Democratcast an official vote for her to be

(20:18):
President of the United States or tobe the Democrats nominee for President of the
United States. And he called thisgrassroots. Well, I was really talking
about enthusiast. You know, there'sno enthusiasm within apparently the hierarchy of the
party. But when it comes timeto voting, there's a lot of time
if Kamala is going to be theirstandard bearer for her to absolutely be exposed

(20:41):
for what she is, what shestands for. She's still the party of
Joe Biden. So you know,if there's anybody who's undecided, who's just
going to get excited because she's abeautiful woman and decide, I'm gonna vote
for her. She's for abortion,I'm gonna vote for her. I mean
whatever. Yeah, I think Ithink that's going to wear out. We've
got some time yet. Their mantra, of course, is vote Blue,

(21:03):
no matter who she is, justthe next up. And that's what they're
going to do, is create somephony excitement for her, no question about
it. And you better recognize whatcolor she is. You just said she's
beautiful. That isn't factor here. What color is she? According to today's
racial playbook, that's the question.Joy Reid says, Black people, if
you don't vote for her, thisis going to go very badly for you.

(21:26):
Black Lives Matter says, we'll see. We got those stories and more
coming right now. All right now, we've got a Bloomberg business report to

top story of this hour mainstream mediagoing crazy fawning over Vice President Kamala Harris's

(24:03):
campaign. Now Donald Trump wants totest this new opponent in a one on
one debate. Oh yes, absolutely, I'd one too. I think it's
important, but not on ABC.He says, it's supposed to host the
second showdown they were between Trump andJoe Biden. I'm not thrilled about ABC
because they're truly fake news. Iwatched last night. They're actually trying to

(24:26):
make a hero out of Joe Bidenwhen he was the worst president in history.
Trump was speaking with reporters on aconference call there, and just when
you thought the GOP was uniting, there are some rhinos, but also some
maga too, complaining about Trump's chosenrunning mate, Ohio Senator jd Vance.
Shara Naton Arenreich, a writing fellowat National Review, says it's not right.

(24:52):
I'm mostly bothered by the overly worthyclassification advances and isolationists, which I
don't like, and I think it'sa sort of a slur. And Conservatism
is not dead. I think it'sa mistake to say that the party's moved
on from Reaganism totally, that Reaganismis dead. But I think it's probably
also unfair to say that there hasn'tbeen any ideological changes. One of those
changes, he adds, is addingin social conservatives. Jeff Biggs News Radio

(25:18):
seven forty kt orh is now fivepoint thirty three. Vice President. Kamala
Harris was the appointed border czar, remember, but did nothing to stem Biden's
invasion, and per usual, theleft now says, well, it's all
Donald Trump's fault. Joe Biden, who is known for bringing bipartisanship to Washington,

(25:40):
actually put forward a border security billand what happened. It was Donald
Trump that blew it up. That'sthe Illinois governor, a billionaire, JB.
Pritzker. He is on the shortlistreportedly to be Harris's running mate.
He was on CNN last night. This is the truth about what Harris did
or didn't do. Though in threeyears of being tasked, we're finding the

(26:02):
root cause of illegal immigration. Foxhas been able to confirm that, despite
being assigned as President Biden so calledborders are Kamala Harris has never had a
conversation with US Border Patrol Chief JasonOwens, nor has she ever spoken to
the prior Border Patrol Chief, RaoulOrtiz. That means, essentially, in
more than three years of being inoffice, Kamala Harris has never spoken to

(26:25):
Border Patrol Leadership Bill Malujin reporting thatit is now five point thirty four.
We experience this every day. Anew study shows that many young Americans lack
basic civics literacy. Some have nevereven taken a government or civics class.
They are failing our kids, butthey're not failing that their agenda, and

(26:47):
so of course our kids are theones who ends up with the end up
with the brunch of the lack ofcurriculum that's being taught. Jean Burke,
with a college prep genius, toldKGr Age, many of the people in
charge of creating curriculum have no interestin teaching either civics or patriotism, probably
the opposite. The Biden administration continuingits student loan forgiveness schemes, even as

(27:11):
the Supreme Court has already said noand the lower courts continue to rule as
well that they can't. Biden's latestplan to forgive billions in student debt is
now on hold again after a federalappeals court blocked it last week. Shark
Tank host and investor Kevin O'Leary tellsFox that, aside from the legal issues,
the plan is ethically wrong. Theremany people have already paid back their

(27:33):
student loans. Those in the futurethat may still not get this. People
that never got to go to collegebecause they figured they couldn't afford it.
It's so unfair. Economists estimate Biden'splan would also add one hundred and sixty
billion dollars to the national debt anddrive the price of college even higher.
Coryolson New's Radio seven forty KTRH PresidentBiden will address the nation tonight to talk

(27:56):
about leaving the twenty twenty four race. You'll hear it on KTRHKTRH dot com
and the iHeartRadio app. Fox's latestpolling shows eighty eight percent of all voters
say inflation is their top concern headinginto November. Former Trump economic advisor Kevin
Hassett told Fox Business that Donald Trumpwill fix what Joe Biden and the Democrats

(28:21):
broke. I spoke about inflation withthe President a few weeks ago, and
he one hundred percent understands that it'sa problem of way too much demand because
of all the government spending, andway too little supply because right now Joe
Biden is, you know, hectoringAmerica's companies with heavy regulations and threatening them
with higher taxes. Seventy six percentof The respondents told Fox that in order

(28:42):
to have their lives, they haveto cut back on spending just to afford
necessities. It is now five pointthirty six. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin and
Yahoo will Adjoice address a joint sessionof Congress today. VP President Vice President
Kamala Harris won't be there. Asyou all know, as the Vice President

(29:04):
and as servant as the President ofthe Senate, she is supposed to be
seated next to me at the rostrum. She will not be there because she
refuses to attend. She needs tobe held accountable for that. She needs
to be asked questions about why howSpeaker Mike Johnson other Democrats, like AOC
of the squad, they are actuallyboycotting the speech. So White House wants

(29:25):
us to believe that Kamala's no showis not a boycott. They're claiming a
scheduling conflict. The Vice President's officehas made clear that she had a pre
scheduled trip before the Prime Minister announcedthis date, which is a date he
decided in consultation with Congress, notwith the administration, so she had pre
announced travel Netanyaho's supposed to meet withPresident Biden tomorrow. That was finally confirmed

(29:51):
yesterday, and then Donald Trump atmari A Lago on Friday. Anti Israel

history is happening, they say onthe demo in the Democrat Party,
first black female president is on theway. It's five thirty eight. Kamala

(30:37):
Harris of course as that person, and the emphasis is on the black part,
according to Joy Reid, Joy Reidand the MSNBC crew saying that black
people, you have no choice here. You have to back her unless you
want to look really, really weirdat this historic moment. MSNBC host Joy
Reid said, quote, given justthe stratospheric and she's a rocket ship.

(31:00):
Wow entrance a vice president Kamala Harrisinto the presidential campaign. She has now
secured enough delegates to become the nominee. And you're going to look real crazy
being on the other side of thatline, particularly as a person of color,
but really as anyone who claims tohave any connection to the culture,
You're just going to look real weirdand real lonely on that side. You

(31:21):
really going to look crazy being onthat side. Given the cultural phenomenon of
Vice President Kamala Devi or DEVII whatever, Harris, She's about to make history.
She's about to be the first womanpresident. Now. That may have
come as news to Black Lives Matter. In a separate story, Black Lives
Matter is calling the Democrat Party theparty of hypocrites for installing her without a

(31:45):
public voting process. BLM said ina statement yesterday, we do not live
in a dictatorship. Delegates are notoligarchs. Installing Kamala Harris as the Democrat
nominee and an unknown vice president withoutany public voting process would make the modern
Democratic Party a party of hypocrites.BLM demands that the DNC immediately hosts an

(32:07):
informal virtual snap primary across the countryprior to the DNC convention in August.
We called for the Rules Committee tocreate a process that allows for public participation
in the nomination process, not justa nomination by party delegates. In other
words, BLM is calling for thatthing that the Democrats are always talking about

(32:27):
protecting democracy. They're calling for ademocratic process. And meanwhile, since we're
here, let's take a look backat what Kamala Harris thought about Black Lives
Matter in twenty twenty twenty when BLMriots were raging across the country. She
kind of liked them, Holy, sorry about that. Let's get it here

(32:50):
we go. Although there are protestsstill happening in the major stasies across the
United States, I'm just not seeingthe reporting on it that I had.
That's rying for the first few weeks. Stop. They're not going to stop,
and that's they're not This is amovement. I'm telling you, they're
not going to stop. And everyonebeware, because they're not going to stop.
It is gonna They're not going tostop before election day in November,

(33:12):
and they're not going to stop afterelection day, and that should be everyone
should take note of that on bothlevels, that this is. They're not
going to let up and they shouldnot. They're not going to stop,
and they should not. She said, So, what an interesting development we
have here, all right? Youcalled it a movement. She called it
a movement, a movement just likethe Mega movement. How about that?

(33:37):
So and the BLM is is sayingyou cannot install her like this. We'll
follow it up. Let's get totrafficing weather now and follow up Scott,
My dude, it's a golf freewaynorthbound all right. As I mentioned,
stay the course that Rerequi had earlierat Monroe. It's gone. No,
I've got a little seconds northbound rightaround Howard, but that's it. And

(33:57):
yeah, you might as sposed tostay the course on the golf freeway.
I really think that'll improve here.Getting across the Ship Channel bridge toll bridge,
Thomas from Gulf States Trucking says there'sa wreck at the bottom of the
bridge before to twenty five. Nowthis is not the part where there's just
one lane, but we've got thismuch going down this way, so you
lose about eight minutes. I tenwestbound. I can't tell what's going on

(34:20):
with the wreck itself, but Isee the laneage. It's two right lanes.
This is iten East Freeway, theBaytown Freeway coming over the bridge.
Now, two right lanes blocked here, and everybody's sleep slowly crawling by.
You've got backups now from before threethirty almost yeah, I'm gonna call it

if you can do the Hertman Bridge. And just know all the stupid people

(35:04):
a good morning after all the rainthat we had yesterday and the rain that
we're continuing to see this morning. The bulk of the wet weather is from
around downtown and eastward and closer tothe coast too. And the problem is
we had heavy rain yesterday and there'sthe potential for more heavy rain today,
tonight and tomorrow. There's a floodwatchuntil nine o'clock tonight that likely will be

(35:29):
extended depending on how much rain weget today. One hundred percent chance that
you're going to get wet at somepoint today, and we don't say that
very often. Our temperatures low tomid eighties, A ninety percent chance of
thunderstorms at some point overnight, ninetypercent chance of more storms tomorrow Friday,
that's when the rain eases up slightly, a fifty percent chance of more storms.

But we still have a seventy percentchance of getting wet into the weekend.

always a problem KTRH time saving trafficconnect on the ten. All right,
So President Trump, of course isthe target. He's one of the most
hated men in America by the Americathe political left. He's one of the
most hated men, but one ofthe most widely known men in the world
too. And outdoor venues apparently area problem. So what are they going

(38:30):
to do. They're going to takethem inside. This is huge share too,
you know, I know we talkedabout a little bit. This is
the attempt on his life obviously inButler, Pennsylvania. Has changed the thinking.
Apparently the Secret Service has said,it's too hard for us to protect
you, So stop holding these thingsoutside. Tuck yourself into some indoor venues.
Like Kamala Harris now she can fither small crowds, just like Joe

(38:52):
Biden could inside of a middle schoolgym. But with President Trump, he
likes to have tens of thousands ofpeople, and he does exactly, and
well, you can't have those kindof optics now, can we exactly?
And it creates a huge, hugebuzz around his campaign. But the story
as of early this morning, PresidentTrump has agreed Washington Examiner reporting to stop

(39:13):
holding outdoor rallies as part of hiscampaign. Two sources familiar with the operation
of Trump's campaign acknowledge the former president'splan to shift to indoor venues. NBC
News reporting Trump has repeatedly held rallies, as we say, outdoor, the
whole host tens of thousands of people. The campaign's pivot to indoor events comes
on the same day the Kimberly cheatleand the person responsible for Trump's security detail

(39:36):
on July thirteenth announced her resignation. So they were successful in some ways and
kill them, but they're you know, taking a big bite out of one
of these. They control the marks. They now control the optics. You
know, can't have Kamala Harris drawingfive thousand people and Donald Trump drawing one
hundred thousand in New Jersey, youknow exactly that happening, correct, you

(39:57):
know. And so now he's goingto do what how many can you fit
into an arena? Thousand maybe atMadison Square Garden, you know, those
kinds of things. But it's it'sextraordinarily limiting, especially when you are talking
about a populist campaign who likes toshow everybody, you know, how popular
he is. It is an opticsthing, and it shows America that people
love this guy and guess what, maybe that's somebody we should take a look

(40:17):
at. And people get to interactwith fellow Americans exactly. If you've ever
been ever been to one of therallies, sure, no, yeah,
they did one in Northeast Ohio backin twenty one. I think, so
this is like, you know, after he was out of office. But
they held one and it was abouttwenty five, thirty thousand people strong.

(40:37):
And I was there, and you'reright, you get to to just I
don't know bathe in patriotism, it'sall flags everywhere. It's all good,
it's all positive. There's no negative. It's just all this is the you
know, America loving people, andit's something that inspires people to do what
else, go out there and telltheir friends and go out there and knockdoors
and be a part of the Trumpmovement in the campaign. And now that's

(40:58):
going to be limited. Well they'regoing to try. I mean, they
controlled the narrative. I mean thiswhole thing about we talk all the time
about January sixth, but we don'tcall it July thirteenth. Why not,
Well we call it that President Trumpgot shot in the ear. That's how
it's being reported by mainstream media.Saw the year two weeks ago. It
drives me crazy. Sure, it'sJuly thirteen, and it should be emboldened

(41:22):
and remembered. Why do we whydo we accept the language of the left.
Sure, I'm gonna I'm gonna I'mglad you brought up January sixth because
I wanted to share with people thistweet that you shared with me from Molly
Hemingway this morning. Benny, No, we found out we we we vetted
that. I sent that to Clifftoo, and he looked into it.
That was not exactly it was.It was somebody who was commenting, so,

(41:44):
yeah, don't go there. Okay, So so he is, so
he is not going to be onthat committee. Then the investigator, now,
okay, got it. Okay,as far as we know, Yeah,
well that's a federally federalist is usuallya Tristan justice justice. A federalist
wrote this one. So that's usuallypretty reliable reporting from Tristian just this and
from the Federalist in Ji. Yeah, I had Cliff look into it.
I sent it out to you intoCliff and he looked into it and he

(42:06):
said, better not go there yet. Yeah, it would be obscene if
that is the case. And sincewe're not reporting it as fact, I'll
just say what the what the reportfrom the Federalist says, and this is
still up at the Federalist dot com, is that Benny Thompson, Democrat representative
who led the j six witch huntagainst Donald Trump and who also called for
an end to Trump's Secret Service protectionmight be if the Democrats have their way

(42:30):
on a committee to investigate the assassinationattempt, which of course would to be
a massive conflict of interest if thiswas true. So, whether it is
or not, this is what theFederalist is reporting. We are not reporting
it as fact, but it iswhat the Federalist is reporting. And Cliff
is looking into it too and said, maybe not, but this is what
they're saying. And I hope that'snot the case because that would be beyond
the pale. Okay, We're workingour way through it. It's five fifty

our first look at Biden now froma distance he was since he was diagnosed

which explains why the Dems worked sohard to rig the primaries, and
that shows I think how much Americahas changed politically. That is political historian
Hans von Spikowski with the Heritage Foundation. So what about Biden's legacy. I

(46:38):
think he's going to go down ashaving been one of the most detective politicians,

him very well. A far cryfrom what we've seen from the mainstream media.

Ronald Rowe has now been named theacting director of the Secret Service. They
want Trump to stop holding outdoor ralliesafter their botched security effort in Pennsylvania.

if they assign the proper details andalso they do their jobs. He will

is loaded against Donald Trump. FBIDirector Ray he would not testify for the

(49:12):
big, but they don't follow through. They do these hearings, but what
happens the Cheadle resignation apparently has justbeen the exception, not the rule.
Nobody wants that kind of thing tohappen. And the Secret Service is responsible
for taking care of these people, and they didn't do the job. Yeah.

ground running in campaigning now and tellingall kinds of stories about Donald Trump.
She's having stories being told about herand she and they say none of those
stories are true, such as thingslike she was a dei hire. Never
mind the fact that President Joe Bidenagreed to choose a black female for vice

(51:25):
president in order to secure the supportof James Clyburn, who is one of
the king makers in the Democrat Partyand vented a bunch of black female candidates,
including Stacy Abrams, before settling onKamala Harris. You're still not allowed
to say that, not allowed toreport that either CNN. CNN had on

(51:46):
Representative Maxwell Frost from Florida, andhe bristled at the notion that she was
a DEI hire. You racist,And this is a right wing campaign that's
going to be racist, misogynistic againstthe Vice president. But we're going to
stand on the issue. And whatreally matters is the fact that she is
qualified. They want to call hera DEI president, DEI candidate. She

(52:07):
has more experience than Trump and jdVance combined times a million. Right,
she worked at the state level, she was the attorney general, she's Vice
president of the United States. Shewas a senator representing one of the largest
states in the entire country. Andso these are just racist dog whistles,
racist dog whistles to say that shewas a DEI hire, even though it
was announced ahead of time that JoeBiden was only going to be vetting candidates

(52:30):
who looked and looked like her andwho were females. It's quite an astounding
thing, especially when you consider, the only people who really considered DEI to
be racist are the DEI proponents, because they obviously see people as being their
immutable characteristics as being fundamental to whetheror not they get hired, because they

(52:50):
might not be qualified if you onlywent on merit. They are the ones
that actually look down on DEI whilepromoting DEI, and that's why they take
such offense when you point out thatthey're using it. Uh, we'll have
more on that two coming up rightnow. Six ten. Let's get traffic

(54:21):
got for us? I got morerain, and I'm I'm tired of the
rain. But it continues through theweekend, folks. Now, we had
some heavy rain yesterday, and there'sthe potential for heavy rain again today.
Like we're talking one two three inchesof rain at a very short period of
time. So flooding is obviously somethingwe're going to be watching for a floodwatch

(54:42):
until nine o'clock tonight. One hundredpercent chance of showers and storms today.
Wherever you are, you will seesome rain at some point today, and
you may even get some heavy rain. Low to mid eighties today. Ninety
percent chance of storms tonight, heavyrain of possibility tonight, more showers in
storm, a ninety percent chance ofrain tomorrow, and again the heavy rains
that concern. Fifty percent chance ofthunderstorms Friday. So even though it's less

(55:08):
of us seeing the rain, westill have the rain, and the weekend
is seventy percent chance of getting wet. All right, thank you, Terry.

Joe Biden by his own party.Meca morning, Good morning. So we're

(57:44):
looking at this, you know everybody'stalking about the historic nature of the first
you know, mainstream not mainstream, but party nominee in the two party system
to be a black female to getthe nomination. Obviously, Barack Obama,
black mail was a president of theUnited States. This is historic. So
is a forcing an incumbent president outof a race in favor of somebody like

(58:06):
Kamala Harris. This has never happenedbefore, except for maybe we're looking at
Franklin Pierce. What do you know, Well, I know that the Democrat
Party was done with Joe Biden andwhat they needed him for and on they
went. Now they're going to sellthe first Jamaican Indian president as the first
black female president. So Democrats liketo twist the truth and they like democracy

(58:30):
until they don't like democracy. True. True, So Kamala Harris is coming
to Houston tomorrow to address the Teachers'union, right, But it's really more
than just Kamala Harris, isn't it. I mean, it's all about the
down ballot races. That's why thiswas done in the first place. She's
got the power of the incumbency nowand she can bring all the cameras and

(58:52):
all the money and all that stuff, to all those races as they desperately
try to turn the Senate the Congressand taken total control that way too.
Oh, it's absolutely about the downballot races. That's why they got rid
of Joe Biden. Joe Biden wasan albatross around the Democrat neck. I'll

(59:13):
tell you what's even worse though, and what you're going to find out from
the Democrats here is that the blackcommunity hates Kamala Harris and you're going to
see instead of I would say fifteento twenty percent of the black community voting
for Trump, it might be ashigh as forty percent of the Black community's
going to show up for Trump. Now, what's behind that, Matt in
your opinion, what is behind theblack community's revulsion for Kamala Well, the

(59:37):
Democrat Party talks about it all ofthe time. You cannot appropriate the black
culture. What is Kamala Harris doingappropriating the black culture? That's a great
point, and you know I hadthe story earlier on Sharon I discussed this.
Black Lives Matter came out with astatement yesterday the organization for it is
what it is saying that the Democratsare a party of hypocrite. It's for

(01:00:00):
installing Harris without a public voting process. They're demanding some sort of a primary
process at or before the convention nextmonth. Why. I talked about that
very thing as well on my podcasttoday, The Black Lives Matter. I
mean, you would think about it, and you think, while we're living
in bizarro world, when you've gotthese these organizations that you know, fight

(01:00:22):
for the Democrat Party, who whoget out the angst and the anger and
burn things in the street, areactually making sense, I don't know where
we're at in America when you're you'reyou're actually quoting BLM. Do you think
that she actually will go all theway through to the election. Do you
think I just don't even know whatto think about the Democrats anymore. They

(01:00:43):
set it on my well, I'veset it on my show before, I've
set it on your show before. It isn't going to be Kamala Harris.
I'm I would. I would bewilling to bet money that Michelle Obama ends
up being the Democrat nominee for president. I have been talking about the same
thing, and I've been talking topeople who are pretty close to this.
In fact that an author wrote abook called Michelle Obama twenty twenty four about

(01:01:05):
two years ago, saying she willbe the one. And the fact,
by the way, Matt and Sarah, that the Obamas are the only ones
that have not jumped on and saidwe're endorsing Kamala. I mean, Schumer
is in now, the Clintons arein. Joe Biden obviously handed the baton
to his number two. The onlymajor mega powerbrokers that are not supporting Kamala
Harris are the Obamas, and virtuallyeverybody in federal government is part of the

(01:01:30):
old Obama holdover. Well, Obama'sthe one that's been pulling a lot of
the strings. And you don't thinkhe worked this hard to get Kamala Harris
on the ticket after he got ridof Joe. I mean, you remember
he said, don't don't don't letJoe, don't let Joe fu you.
He can appsop them up very easily. But what do you make of the
fact that and everybody says this that'sclose to Michelle. She despises the idea

(01:01:52):
of going into politics. She doesn'twant to give the speeches. She doesn't
want to give me to do thecampaigns. She liked being first lady.
She might like Barack being the guy, but she doesn't want to be the
Well, I think it's fun everybodysays that because think about you know,
you think she has a choice.Do you think Joe Biden had a choice
of stepping down? I mean,I'm hearing rumors they were going to pull
out the twenty fifth Amendment on himif he did not step down. I

(01:02:14):
think it. I think it's evenit's a it's an even weirder story that
people think that Democrats would give anybodya choice in their party. Well,
there's also this We've already had apresident who doesn't be a president. I
mean, he hides in basements andhe takes vacations and he's gone and we
don't see him. So who theVP choice is is really going to be

(01:02:35):
the zinger on this one? Right? Well, I actually came out on
the show last week and I said, it's going to be another historic ticket.
It is going to be the firstall femail presidential ticket with Michelle at
Thebata at the top and Comal atthe bottom. Wow. Wow. So
but you know what, asking heras the number two to step aside and

(01:02:58):
remain number two to let somebody else, even if it is a black female,
a real black female, to dothat a thing might be I don't
know, there's an ego there.I think that is going to get in
the way of it. And that'swhat would be running the country. That's
that's what they're saying. That's whatthey're saying. It's a it's a pretty
it's a pretty crazy scenario. ButI can I can see something like this
happening if she pulls over the courseof the next three four weeks the way

(01:03:21):
I think she will, that theymay have no choice at the convention but
to do something drastic and radical likeMatti is talking about here. So time
will tell. We'll follow it closely. Matt Locke, a podcast host and
Republican strategist. Good stuff, Matt, thank you, thank you, sir.

Good morning everyone, is six pointthirty two on News Radio seven forty ktrhe
our top story this hour. Itwas the worst president we've ever had,
and her ratings are lower than hisratings, So I don't know how she
can do well. Donald Trump onNewsmax last night. The mainstream media has
gone all in though, for KamalaHarris and her presidential campaign, especially when

(01:06:14):
you have the former Republican National Committeechief Michael Steele, now a commentator and
always anti Trump, posting a photoof picture a meme of Harris as Captain
America. He did it on Xmeantime. Trump, Well, he's exposing
the true Harris track record. Shedestroyed the city of San Francisco. She

(01:06:35):
was the worst. She was theworst at everything. She was the worst.
Vice President Trump told reporters yesterday hereally wants to debate Harris one on

by some Republicans even but Nathan Natanwriter Nathan Aaron Reich with a National Review

(01:06:59):
says, well, well, there'sa new GOP in diagnosing all of these
sort of ideological shift that the RepublicanParty has gone through. Real conservatism has
gone through, These things changed soquickly and are so dependent on leadership from
the top. He says, antivance conservatives really better step up their game
and not mourn the old Republican Partyis disappearing. It's now six thirty three.

(01:07:24):
Vice president failed to get the routeto the root cause of illegal immigration
as Biden's borders are, but thosein the running now apparently to be her

as by the way he did whenhe was president. He did nothing.
That's the Illinois governor, the billionaireJB. Pritzker on CNM, blaming Donald

That's a problem. That was theformer Border Patrol chief, Raoul or Tees

(01:09:21):
for president, we still have thesame old concerns about the economy. It's
a Democrat economy, folks. Fox'slatest number show that seventy six percent of
voters have had to cut back justto afford necessities. But Donald Trump is
a plan to find inflation. He'sgoing to cut taxes, deregulate, increased
supply, but he's also going tocut government spending a lot. Former Trump

(01:09:44):
economic advisor Kevin Hassen says the planwould work. That's going to have a
big effect on inflation, which wouldthen reduce deficits with a lot of growth,
especially if it's potentially AI powered growth. The economy is a top concern
for eighty eight percent of all voters, the number one concern for Republicans.

But well, let's have a look. This is the kind of thing
that is playing out all over conservativemedia. I just want to do a

You haven't been to the border, and I haven't been to Europe.
I don't understand the point that you'remaking. Of course she doesn't. But

you talking about? She was neverthe borders are. Literally, ABC News,

that's in effect for the East ForkSanjacinto near New Caney because the water levels
are on the rise and expected somemoderate flooding there, and we have more

Everybody keeps talking about the glass ceiling. They talked about it, of
course when Hillary was the nominee intwenty sixteen, and now Kamala potentially being
the nominee here and when will therebe a female president? Gerald Ford?

(01:19:39):
This is now making the rounds.Gerald Ford back in nineteen eighty nine made
this prediction advice would you give ayoung lady wanting to become president of the
United States? Well, I hopewe do have a young lady at some
point become president of the United States. I can tell you how I think

(01:20:03):
it will happen, because it won'thappen in the normal course of events,
either the Republican or Democrat political partywill nominate a man for president and a
woman for vice president, and thewoman and man will win. So you'll

(01:20:29):
end up with a president a male, and a vice president a female.
And in that term of office ofthe president, the president will die and
the woman will become president under thelaw or constitution. And once that barrier
is broken, from then on,men better be careful because they'll have a

(01:20:57):
hard hard time or even getting anomination in the future. But that's the
way it's going to happen, andI think it'll probably come sometime in the
next four or eight years. Well, it turned out to be more than
forty years. It still hasn't happened. But that was what gerald Ford said
in nineteen eighty nine, Shara,And it's almost like he was prescient.

(01:21:19):
Here we are Joe Biden hadn't diedyet, but was close enough that they
forced him out. Well, yeah, you know, I covered Geraldine Ferraro
and I also covered Elizabeth Dole.I mean, I saw it happen in
real time. But isn't that interesting? Yeah? I found it interesting.
And what I really am interested inis the last part of what he said

(01:21:42):
there, if and when it happensthat we get our first female president in
some way or another, will theresuddenly be a you know, a massive
shift, if it will be like, wow, we just need to turn
it all over to the ladies.Well only if the voters can't have their
say. We've already seen that.Maybe that's what's under right. Oh you
mean democracy. Yeah, yeah, that's that's not allowed anymore, at least

drone out there days prior. Inthat position was probably the best position outside
the premer, as far as Icould tell. Texas Congressman Michael McCall,
the disgraced SS director Secret Service DirectorCheatle rejected an invitation to testify again yesterday
in that hearing, as did theDHS Secretary of New yorkis FBI Director Christopher

(01:28:54):
Ray. He now will be testifyingbefore the House Judiciary Committee today. He
didn't testify either. There's this theNew York Times reporting that the Secret Service
actually tried to deny extra security thatwould be metal detectors at the high school
graduation of Trump's youngest son, Baron. That was a ceremony that was attended

(01:29:15):
by Trump and his wife, Milania, the former First Lady. Repeatedly,
Republican leadership has talked a really goodgame right about holding Biden and his administration
accountable. But have they What hasever changed? So? Why has all
of politics become so performative with allof the social media, people having thoughts

(01:29:38):
and talking about things get absolutely blownall over the place. Newsmax contributor Jeffrey
Lord says he does think voters arefinally willing to hold politicians accountable. Now.
History says that when you know you'vegot a president where things go off
track, could be anything. Itcould be the economy, it could be
foreign policy. What have you votersdo? Respond to that? Lord says,

(01:30:00):
A major factor here is also partisanship, and unfortunately that will always be
part of our system. Ethan BuchananNews Radio seven forty KRH. It's now

the capital murder of twelve year oldJoscelyn Nungarai last month, well, they've
now turned on each other. Eachis saying that the other one committed the

brutal rape and murder. Harris CountyDA Kim Ogg has busted a prison drug
laundering ring, a ring that waslaundering money in the county jail. The
commissary account of a county jail inmatehas been confiscated because that's how they were
funneling the money. Obviously, drugsin the jail have led to deaths of

(01:30:47):
inmates in the jail while in governmentcustody. We cannot let that happen,
Yeah, she says. Joshua SinclairOwens had money sent to a PayPal account
and then would transfer that to hiscommissary account. Two of his family members

Ryar on news radio seven forty KTRH, what happened, Why it happened,
Jimmy Barrett and Sheriff Fryar explain it. Now back to Houston's morning news.

(01:31:31):
Okay, seven minutes after seven o'clock. Good morning to you once again.
It is a Wednesday, the twentyfourth morning of the seventh month, in
the ear of our Lord twenty twentyfour. Joe Biden is going to speak
tonight. What will he sound like? Will he sound like the decrepit,
aging, confused old man that wasbounced out because of a horrible debate performance
and then a couple of horrible interviewswith George Stephanopolis and Lester Holt. We

(01:31:53):
will see. But it's going tobe very interesting because it's going to remind
people of what Kamala Harris, thenew Democratic Savior did along with many other
Democrats for a very very long time, which is cover for him and lie
to the American people directly to ourfaces and tell us that the current president,

(01:32:15):
the current commander in chief, isin control of his faculties, is
on top of his game is notcognitively declining. They lied. Kamala Harris,
forget about all of this stuff aboutthe border and everything else. How
about you straight up honesty. Shehas been lying directly to our faces for
the last three years. But thereal issue is that Kamala Harris and all

(01:32:35):
the other Democrats and the people inthe media. But then I repeat myself,
they've all covered for Joe Biden. They've pretended that he was not only
fine, they pretended that he wasat the top of his game, that
he was so in command of everything. Well, they've lied to us.
So let's just be clear. Everythingwe've been told over the last several years,

(01:32:55):
they've lied to us. The truthis Donald Trump's no threat to democracy.
He was in office four years. He never used the Department of Justice
to go after his political opponents. He didn't start wars. He didn't do
things like put seventy five year oldgrandmothers in jail for protesting out of the
abortion clinic like this Justice Department has. So it's utter nonsense. It's almost

(01:33:17):
like whatever they say, it's theopposite of that. Former Arkansas governor and
former presidential candidate might could be.Last night on Newsmax and sure to me
because the Democrat or I mean,as the Republicans go after Kamala, I
think just her dishonesty on the conditionof her boss should be enough. Yeah,
I think so too. But Ihave a question for you. Yeah,
you know, we're going to becarrying his address to the nation tonight

(01:33:41):
live. We'll be carrying it live, so to speak. But is he
actually delivering it live? Are wegoing to be rolling a videotape? That's
a great question, because it's nota press conference. There will be no
Q and A, so it willbe they say from the Oval Office.
We know that they have a fakeset Oval Office. We don't know that
they didn't tape it. It's afair question. I mean, will we

(01:34:01):
really be seeing you know, whendid they do it? You know,
I don't know. I don't trustanything. They've lied so much. I
just don't trust anything anymore. Youknow, when will know, scherf will
know when we see the quality ofthe actual delivery of his statement, because
if it's clean, if it's good, then then it was edited and they
did not do it live. Andif he sounds raspy and terrible and confused

(01:34:25):
and stripping over himself. Then itwas live. That's all well know.
But either way, if it isgood and it's wonderful, then why is
he calling off his campaign? Yeah? Well I think I mean, if
he's in such great shape, whyexactly did he back out? Well,
obviously everybody knows well and you knowwhat did he back out or did they
do this to him and he wasin a serious medical condition over the weekend.

(01:34:47):
Did they do this without his knowledgeand then forced him to accept it?
And now forcing him almost like ahostage reading a you know, a
demand letter on national television. It'salmost like he could be against his being
forced to deliver this statement tonight. You know, it's very difficult to try
to read a newscast and not evenknow whether everything that I'm saying is true.

(01:35:08):
Well, and in the age ofAI, it's going to be that
much more All you can do isattribute it. Yeah, it's going to
be that much more difficulty to seewhat's real, determine what is real from
what is manufacturing. I thought thiswas a parade. Yeah, it just

we're getting loopy westbound right at fortyfive. There's just two little lanes right

(01:35:51):

the toll bridge. Extra seven minutes. I would still do the Sherman Bridge,
clear the Hartman Bridge. That reck'sgone and the backups are going off

Ay, Mike's going south just aboutthe downtown. There's a FedEx eighteen wheeler

Nobody knows. It looks like itcould be dangerous if you don't know

Let's look out on the southbound sideNorth Freeway. Clear the wreck at
the Hardy Toll Road exit. UberMike's right there, Mike going stoup.

the now right now News Radio sevenforty KTRH okay seven twenty two. Now,
let's dive back into the political watershere and let's talk about the old
Republican Party versus the new Party andsocial conservatism? Is it time to take

(01:39:57):
new or to take social conservatives?Seriously? Joining us Nathan Aaron Reich,
writing fellow for National Review. Goodmorning, Good morning guys. How are
you? We're great, Thank youfor the time this morning. So let's
talk about you know, it's funnywe're watching a little bit the death of
the old Democrat Party with this newspin on shiving income and presidents and then

(01:40:19):
from the top down letting elites choosetheir parties. Nominee, what about old
conservatism? What about old Republican guardAre we finally turning the page into embracing
social conservatism? Well, listen,I think the party is definitely different than
it was ten years ago, saybefore Donald Trump entered the Fray. I
think if you look at how theparties changed in the past ten years ago,

(01:40:43):
you see a lot more emphasis onfighting cultural issues oftentimes what we think
of is fighting wokeness, led byDonald Trump himself. But I think you
also see some changes maybe away fromtraditional social conservative issues. This is the
first GOP platform in many years thatdoes not mention a pro life amendment to

(01:41:08):
the Constitution. So I think yousee cheap changes in both directions with which
social conservatives can be happy about, and also probably some things that make social
conservatives probably not so happy. Buton the whole, I do think this
Republican Party treats cultural issues and socialissues oftentimes different than it did ten years

(01:41:30):
ago. We certainly talk about themmore than we did ten years ago,
and I think that's a good thing. You know, this election, social
issues they don't really have that biga play, at least not with the
MAGA group that has basically that nowis the Republican Party. So I mean,
people care, and the voters careabout their economy, they care about

(01:41:53):
how they're able to live. Thesocial conservatism, I understand the Democrats are
going to try to play that upbecause the Republicans do not ever do that
battle. Well, so what willthe Republican Party do now in order to
make sure that they don't fall ontheir swords once again? Well, it's
a good question. And one thingyou've seen the Republican Party do, of

(01:42:15):
course after the historic jobs decision whichover turned Roe v. Wade, is
basically ignore the question of abortion. For example, on the national stage,
You've had Republicans who seem like theywould really rather talk about anything else.
And I expect you'll continue to seeDemocrats try to pin Republicans down exactly where

(01:42:38):
they want on the abortion issue. And my guess is Donald Trump and Jade
Vance, for example, are goingto try to talk about that as little
as possible in their national campaign.Now. One thing they can do,
and I expect them to do,is try to console social conservatives by talking
about other things, whether that's illegalimmigration, which has long been considered of

(01:43:00):
a bit of a social issue, and questions around crime and disorder in cities.
I mean, these are big issuesthis this election cycle as well.
So you know there are there aresort of different types of social issues that
are at play. This year ratherthan years past. But I think with
those traditional social conservative issues, youknow, abortion for example, my guess

(01:43:23):
is those are going to be sidelinedon the on the GOP side for mis
election cycle at least, and it'llit'll be interesting to see if those make
a return in four years and eightyears, or if this is sort of
a new normal for the Republican Party. Is just sort of, you know,
don't address these questions and and playas if if you won by overturning
orro v Wade and sort of sortof just let the states handle the question

(01:43:45):
and go from there. Yeah, you read my mind, and I'm glad.
Just super quick thirty second follow upon this from you. Is it
a sociological or excus me, anideological shift away from things like abortion platforms,
or is it just a recognition thatsince Dobbs, we're we're losing Republicans
and conservatives are losing elections in thestates all over the place because of the
issue of abortion. So maybe it'sbest just to move it to the side

(01:44:08):
for the purposes of winning elections, not because we've had an ideological shift away
from that. Yeah. Well,I certainly think both are true. Listen.
I thinks it probably was unfair toexpect there to be no backlash after
the Dobbs decision. At the sametime, I think probably the Republicans were
not thinking so hard about how thebattle needed to be fought after Dobbs,

(01:44:29):
and I think there's probably been alittle bit of an ideal logical shift.
But yeah, certainly for right now, for the party, it's about winning
elections, and hopefully you think youwould hope moving forward that you're able to
win elections by meeting more pro lifeand I hope that's where the Republican Party
goes in the years to come.Great analysis. Thank you very much,

(01:47:12):
location where you would love to havedinner, you know, very soft.
There was a location when nothing washappening. Yeah, she never really got
down to the nitty gritty. Infact, Harris used to joke with reporters
about going to the border. Notonly that, it seems like she never
talked to the people who had thebest insight into what was actually happening in
the trenches on the border. Foxhas been able to confirm that, despite

(01:47:36):
being assigned as President Biden so calledborders are Kamala Harris has never had a
conversation with US Border Patrol Chief JasonOwens, nor has she ever spoken to
the prior Border Patrol chief, RiolOrtiz. That means, essentially, in
more than three years of being inoffice, Kamala Harris has never spoken to
Border Patrol leadership Bill Mulusian reporting. So what is the leftist response to all

think it's a sort of a slur. And Conservatism is not dead. I
think it's a mistake to say thatthe party's moved on from Reaganism totally,
that Reaganism is dead. But Ithink it's probably also unfair to say that
there hasn't been any ideological changes. One of those changes, he adds,

quote you read as part of thatstory was that she had a pre arranged

what I'm wondering because you know,at the time Benjamin net Yahuo announced and

(01:53:51):
She wasn't you know, on acampaign travel schedule she went because she

kind of curious. Well, thepoint is, ago she knew she was,
she was going to be, youknow, it had to be somewhere
else other than this at this address. That's right, And officially she was.
Officially she's still not the nominee. We still have a president supposedly officially,

Yeah, that's a very good question. But what I want to know
is, like I said, whyis it that Kamala and Joe and every
prominent Democrat and the Senate and inthe House, including leadership, fall all

north side hunts Bille. Lots ofcalls and me and some of my competing
station friends are telling me that whatever'sgoing going on on I forty five south
of the seventy five exit is bigand it's causing backups both ways just south
of Huntsville. Tip line is sevenone three two one two tips And I'm
in the Generator Supercenter dot Com trafficCenter. How much more of this terry?

(01:57:16):
We can't stand it. We canstand it, but you know it's
getting old. It is old,I would agree. So, yeah,
our weather pattern is not really goingto change significantly. We've got just one
round of rain after another. Theselittle impulses swinging on through keeping us not
only soggy, but heavy rain attimes. So flooding is a concern.

(01:57:40):
There's a floodwatch until nine o'clock tonight. We had some heavy rain yesterday on
the northeast side of town, andwe're going to see more heavy rain with
some of these storms today tonight andtomorrow. Load of mid eighties today and
tomorrow, fifty percent chance of morerain. Friday is seventy percent chance of
showers and storms over the weekend,So keep your eye on the roadways and

(01:58:02):
keep your information tuned to KTRH forthe latest updates. That's good advice,
no question about. Thank you,Terry seventy five degrees right now on Claudie
at your official severe weather station, news Radio seven forty ktr H. What
you need to know for the dayahead. This is Houston's morning News,
brought to you by New South WindowsSolutions. Okay, seven fifty you know

(01:58:24):
what that means. We got onemore Skymike report. Is we do the
four severalth we do? We havethis problem on the Golf Freeway Bob France
southbound. That's a wreck before Highwaysix. It looks like they've cleared that
out. Those backups are about todissipate. Stay the course here. Trendstar
keeps showing me this wreck on theSouthwest Freeway outbound ramp to the west Loop

(01:58:44):
six ten. It's not really causingany problem, but just be super careful
because it could sneak up on you. And also the southbound ramp. This
is coming from downtown to the Galleria. You'll wait a little while. Huntsville.
I've got tip line seven one threetwo one two T on that Huntsville
situation. It seems they're taking carsoff of the southbound at Park Roads forty

(01:59:06):
and then the back up extends froma wreck on the northbound side all the
way back almost new wavery right.Richard from Huntsville tells me we've got back
ups both ways. This is justsouth of Huntsville around the exit for Park
Road forty. So pretty serious stuffgoing on there, and we'll have more
on it during the eight o'clock report. Hey, don't forget to tell me

(01:59:27):
your name and represent your neighborhood oryour prairie in my case, Skymike and
the Generator Supercenter, dot Com trafficCenter. All right, thank you very
much, good sir. Final lookat the forecast for the morning as well.
Let's go rain today. How aboutthat. That's a change of pace.
Thunderstorms, high of eighty seven orso, rain this evening, more
storms overnight low of seventy four.More storms on Thursday than morning showers on

(01:59:48):
Friday, and then more storms werecalling them on Saturday. I is going
to be in the low to mideighties, going to rain on Sunday too,
and warm up into the upper eightiesby then. Right now, seventy
five degrees and cloudy at your officialsevere weather station, News Radio seven forty
k TRG place say we hit thoseheadlines one more time, Shore seven fifty
two now on news radio seven fortyKTRH. President Joe Biden will address the

(02:00:11):
country from the Oval Office. We'retold tonight seven pm live on KTRH will
be carrying it. New Jersey SenatorBob Menendez resigning after his conviction on sixteen
counts of bribery and conspiracy. Sharksoff the Brazilian coast they are testing positive
for cocaine in concentrations one hundred timeshigher than previously found. Why now it's

(02:00:34):
a mystery, they say, Latestnews anytime at KTRH dot com. Our
next update will be at the topof the hour eight life it's stop and
go. Well, just go time. Keep up with our steady flow of
updates to continue onward line with newsRadio seven forty KTRH. So I want

(02:00:55):
to wrap a little bit this morningwith more talking about presidential politics, the
coronation, grassroots as Haakim Jeffrey said, grassroots. She earned this. Chuck
Schumer said she's never had a votefor her One time for president in a
primary, but they're calling it agrassroots elevation to the nominee status for the

(02:01:15):
Democrat Party. And I want toshare this with you because it's one of
the best tweets I've read in along time. This gentleman's named Officer Dion
Joseph. He's a black man whospent twenty five years working in LA usually
around skid Row, and he putout a tweet that I think just really
crushes this whole conversation, Officer DeanJoseph quote. I'm going to make my

(02:01:39):
stance abundantly clear. I don't carewho she slept with, don't care about
her laugh, and I'm not goingto dehumanize her or disrespect her based on
her personal life. Who doesn't havea past, and she is grown.
Don't care if she's too black forsome and not black enough for others.
My decision not to even consider heris based solely on the following. She
created a bail fund for rioters intwenty twenty who destroyed cities to push a

(02:02:00):
political agenda that is terrorism, andshe helped them skate instead of condemning them.
She supported two propositions in California thatexacerbated crime and made it incredibly difficult
for law enforcement to stop crime,as well as no cash bail, even
against the will of California voters, which also put Californians in danger. She
was tasked with solving the border crisis. She only went to the border because

(02:02:24):
she was pressured, and all shedid was peak at it to find the
root causes, which is progressive codefor I ain't gonna do blank about this.
She engages in race baiting and fearmongering, which lets me know she
has zero solutions to the many issuesAmericans are facing right now. She is
even farther left than Joe Biden. That's why I don't believe she is ready

(02:02:44):
to lead, and her politics willslide America further down the crapper. Not
because she is a woman. Iwould gladly and without pause vote for a
woman for president. Some of thegreatest leaders I've ever worked for were women.
Just can't vote for this one becauseof who she is, not her
gender has nothing to do with race. I'm always proud when I see black
people elevate. I don't just wantany black person. I don't care about

(02:03:08):
color when it comes to leadership.I just want the leader best capable to
lead. End quote. That tome, Shara is one of the best
tweets about this whole thing ever sinceKamala ascended on Sunday when Joe dropped out
and then kind of begrudgingly endorsed herin a tweet. I think that's the
message here. This isn't about identity. For real Americans. This is a

(02:03:28):
black California former police officer. It'snot about identity, It's about It's about
merit. That's what this has tobe about. I agree, I agree.
I think we have lots of timeto hear more of this type of
thing. We're gonna hear it,yeah, we it'll come out. And
just for folks listening this morning,he's got a website. It's Dion Josephone

(02:03:48):
dot org. Dion Joseph, justlike it sounds the EO N Joseph,
the number one dot org. He'sgot a whole site. It's a blog
and media and commentary and so on. So I like the guy. I've
never seen him until I saw thattweet. Now I have found his profile
and his website and I'm going tointerview him very very soon. I got

(02:04:09):
to tell you this news flash, guys are just exploded at Yellowstone, not
Old Faithful, but one. Thisis about two miles away in the Biscuit,
Boston. Yeah all right, whatelse could happen in this world?
Yeah right, as if there arenot things exploding all around us. Schar
Thank you everyone, Thank you forlistening. Have a great day. We'll
see you tomorrow morning on Houston's MorningNews. Bye bye.
