time now for the news. Here's Sheriff Ryer.
Speaker 5 (01:31):
Good morning. Everyone is South five oh one on news
radio seven forty k TRH and our top story this
hour the chaos in Chicago. Not one, Yeah, the protesters.
They went on to burn an American flag outside the
Israeli consulate in Chicago. Other rioters clashing with police on
(01:54):
night two of the DNC thousands are taking part in
these protests, violent two. Only dozens have been arrested. However, meantime,
inside the United Center, Joe.
Speaker 6 (02:06):
And I come from different backgrounds when we became brothers.
Speaker 5 (02:13):
Well, yeah, sort of. The real fact is former President
Obama helped, maybe even lead the Democrats with their coup
of the Biden presidency, and Obama with his usual reht
rhetoric last night about Donald Trump. He was joined in
the takedown by Michelle Obama, Chuck Schumer, and Bernie Sanders,
(02:34):
all solidly black backing Kamala Harris's Marxist economic plan. Party
delegates officially nominated Harris for president yesterday, but she wasn't
there to see it.
Speaker 7 (02:48):
This is a people powered campaign and together we.
Speaker 5 (02:53):
Will chart a new way forward. Except Harris as yet
to receive a vote in any primary. Oh well, she
was rallying in Milwaukee as the DNC convention continues. There's
the reason why mainstream media will not address any of
the key issues is just raw, raw, all the time, Shara.
Speaker 8 (03:17):
That reason is simple because they don't want Trump to win.
Speaker 9 (03:21):
The media is very cognizant of what's going on right now.
They know that if you know, we're making direct comparisons
about no quality of life and or policies. Obviously, the
policies and the Trump administration resulted and outcomes to me,
voters a lot happier.
Speaker 8 (03:34):
That's writer Mark Hemingway with the Federalist. So will Kamala
ever be exposed? Probably not.
Speaker 9 (03:40):
Trump and the Trump campaign have known all along, or
they better have known all along, that they cannot count
on the media to do their jobs. The press is
still in the tank for Kamala, and.
Speaker 8 (03:50):
It's going to be up to Trump to get his
message out. Jeff Biggs, News Radio seven Katie or h.
Speaker 5 (03:57):
Trump, continuing his campaigning in swing stays speaking in Howell,
Michigan yesterday. We're a reporter, Yes, got to make some
time for himself. Confronted him for being even being in
the city that Harris once called the KKK capital.
Speaker 10 (04:16):
Who was here in twenty twenty one?
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Thank you, Thank you everybody.
Speaker 5 (04:23):
Joe Biden was the response, Yeah, he was there in
twenty twenty one. Trump's holding his first outdoor rally since
the July thirteen assassination attempt. He'll be in Ashboro, North Carolina,
this afternoon at one pm. Since Kamala Harris has officially
rejected the Fox News debate on September fourth, Trump's campaign
(04:44):
says well, he will instead host a town hall that
date on Fox five. Oh five is our time. More
than sixty percent of Americans think people are too easily
offended these days. Oh, we used to call them snowflakes.
Right now they're just offended. According to the liberal Pew
Research Center, Political analyst Jake Novak says, it's the left
(05:06):
that is super sensitive.
Speaker 11 (05:08):
They're the ones who want to shut down free speech.
They're the ones who want to shut down anyone who
is voting for Donald Trump who was never a member
of the political class. That's the biggest insult that they
could ever take.
Speaker 5 (05:19):
More than eighty percent Republicans stole the pull that people
being too easily offended is a major issue in our country.
Only forty five percent of Democrats said the same thing.
Harley Davison, under duress from its customers, officially dropping its
DEI policies. Now, turns out most Americans want businesses to
(05:39):
stay out of politics completely.
Speaker 12 (05:42):
A new Gallup survey finds just thirty eight percent think
companies should take a stand on political issues, down ten
points from two years ago. Political analyst Anthony Russo says
companies are starting to get the message.
Speaker 13 (05:53):
Because of how divided we are, it makes it very
difficult to make a political stance.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
They have to understand the ramification.
Speaker 14 (06:00):
Like Detractor Supplies, you got to understand that you're setting
yourself up for decancelation, which originally started with the left
and now.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
It starts at the right.
Speaker 12 (06:07):
Recently, both Tractor Supply and John Deere had to put
out statements reversing liberal policies and vowing to stay out
of politics. Coriolson, Who's Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 5 (06:17):
Congressional Republicans warning Google against trying to avoid penalties in
its anti trust case. The big tech giant facing potential
breakup of its monopoly hold on all things cyber after
a judge determined yeah, they're a monopoly.
Speaker 15 (06:35):
On the liberal side, they're talking about this anti competitive behavior.
On the conservative side, there's a lot of concern about
bias and the search results, and so Google's going to
have to fight this in the courts, but they're going
to face political pressure as well.
Speaker 5 (06:47):
Which means public pressure. Internet privacy attorney Travis Krabtree there.
He told us that it could be five or more
years though, before we see the final results of this lawsuit,
and there are concerns that Google may evade it all
skate away if Harris gets into the White House. Five
oh seven is our time. Seven years they were rejected
(07:08):
by the Harris County Commissioner's Court, but now elected constables
will get a pay raise. A salary Grievance committee voted unanimously.
Here's precinct one, Constable Alan Rosen.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
Pay equity.
Speaker 16 (07:23):
I now find myself fighting for me today. Unfortunately. Do
you value the men and women who risk their lives
every day who are led by leaders like me?
Speaker 5 (07:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 17 (07:34):
So the.
Speaker 5 (07:37):
Committee said yes, unanimously. And constables now will make one
hundred and seventy eight thousand dollars next year. And we
should point out Community Services Director of the county makes

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Town in Minnesota, small town in Minnesota. What's the name
of this town? Kormorrant, Cormarant, Minnesota. Like the bird is
that bird? Okay? I just learned something. We are only
like thirty seconds into my portion of the show, and
I've already learned something. Wow, this is educational sitting with you.
(09:11):
This little town in Minnesota decided about ten twelve years
ago that they were going to have a mayor. You know,
we needed We're going to change our government a little bit.
We're gonna have a mayor. And I guess the people
of this town, Cormont, weren't really that excited about the
idea of They didn't really see the need to have
(09:32):
a mayor. So so they had a writing campaign and
they elected a dog is the mayor. So the mayor
of the town was actually a dog, a neighborhood dog
that everybody loved. His name was Duke. He was a
Great Pyrenees. He was elected mayor in twenty fifteen, and
he remained mayor, getting re elected every time until retired
(09:53):
of June twenty eighteen, so every you know, every year,
they reelect him. He later passed away in February twenty
nineth and then of course COVID hit and the tradition
kind of went away for a little while. Then they
decided to kind of resurrec this thing in twenty twenty
four and used it as sort of a fundraiser for charity.
So they decided, hey, we've had a lot of luck
(10:13):
electing dogs as mayor because dogs don't mess up, don't
mess up the city the way a real mayor might.
So they went ahead and they had an election involving
an eight month old Golden Retriever, a three year old
Bassett Hound, and another Great Pyrenees by the name of Khalisi.
Evidently that's the name of a Game of Thrones. Character.
(10:33):
So they ended up electing maybe because of the luck
they had with Duke the Great Pyreneers, they elected the
other Great Pyrenees. Kalisi is the new mayor of Cormont.
And my guess is this dog will get reelected every
time he runs too. Five eleven Time for traffic and
weather together. As we check out the drive with sky Mike.
Speaker 4 (10:51):

much of a backup.

That's kind of the question that's going on. We'll get
some reaction to that coming up next. First, though, traffic

A report from the DHS Inspector General shows that ice
lost track of more than thirty two thousand that we
know of unaccompanied illegal alien children in the last five years,
many of them under the watch of borders are Kamala
(21:23):
Harris and the invasion of our border our country will

forty percent of all Venezuelans now in a poll considering
leaving that country as soon as this month.
Speaker 28 (21:37):
Not all of these Venezuelans are just people seeking to
escape communism.
Speaker 29 (21:41):
To do have the criminal element coming, Yes, you do
have the ones that were emptying from the prisons. The
Department Homeland Security acknowledged it in a memo.
Speaker 28 (21:48):
Retired Homeland Security agent Victor Avila told KTRH everything from
American schools to prisons would suffer from this immigration spike.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
We already have that burden. We already have that in pact, especially.
Speaker 29 (22:01):
With the criminal element from Venezuela.
Speaker 28 (22:03):
Avilas is the only thing that could stop these Venezuelans
from pouring over the border would be a partnership with Mexico.
Ethan Buchennan News Radio seven forty kitsch your each.
Speaker 5 (22:12):
Meantime, you've got NBC News trying to convince the world
that Texas Governor Abbot can no longer bust illegal aliens
out of our state because there simply aren't enough crossing
the border. Now, okay, we know the difference, but Andrew
Arthur with the Center for Immigration Studies says, for the
rest of the country, you better listen up. It's a lie.
Speaker 9 (22:35):
Right now.
Speaker 30 (22:36):
There are one four hundred and fifty CBP one appointments
every day. That's going to create an increasing burden on
Texas to either provide for those migrants or to move
them forward into the United States.
Speaker 5 (22:49):
He says, the Biden administration also has a secret deal
right now with Mexico to slow the numbers before the election.
Just hold them back and then the damn break again.
It is five point thirty four the Democrat convention in Chicago.
The radical pro Hamas protesters taken to the streets for
a second straight night, and they clashed with police. Here's
(23:11):
Fox's Mike Tobin.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
They burned flags.
Speaker 31 (23:15):
They ultimately gathered behind a couple of banners and marched
aggressively right into the police line, very deliberately. That triggered
the rather small round of arrests. They had a standoff
and they started marching around the West Loop. One demonstrator
was picked up because he grafeeded a police vehicle. Then
they continued with the unplanned march until police finally put
a stop to it. That triggered the biggest round of
(23:36):
mass arrests.
Speaker 5 (23:38):
Yeah, mass arrests. There have been dozens, but you've had
thousands of people taking part in these violent protests. And
there was fear mongering, of course inside the United Center,
led by the Obamas, on the very prospect of Donald
Trump winning in November.
Speaker 32 (23:57):
Maybe you've experienced the same feelings. Is that deep pit
in my stomach, a palpable sense of dread about the future.
Speaker 5 (24:07):
From the same woman who said she was never proud
of America. Remember that TV ratings for this convention are
down from twenty sixteen numbers five million viewers down. Been
more than thirty days since Joe Biden was overthrown by
his own party, and Kamala Harris still hasn't done a

what the.
Speaker 33 (24:39):
Media has got to start doing if Kamala Harris is
not going to stand and answer some tough questions. We're
going to stop giving her this fake fawning coverage.
Speaker 5 (24:48):
Yeah, stop the fawning coverage. Harris has said she will

Not sure a thin Rice University political analyst Mark Jones
says Ted Cruz has a lead, but Colin Alred has
a shot of gen Z votes. Most polls have Trump
ahead nationally, but it may come down to a few states.
Speaker 19 (25:38):
It really will probably boil down to how well Harrison
Trump do in Keith states like Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Arizona.

We expect to have adequate supply to meet demand.
Speaker 5 (26:15):
Yeah, he's not expecting any rolling brownouts, he said. Demand
actually broke records yesterday hit eighty five nine and thirty
one megawatts, and that is surpassing the mark that was
said August tenth of last year. Big different story this year.
They've done a lot to harden the grid. They have.
We should give them credit for it. Oil futures continuing
(26:38):
to slide, just over seventy three bucks a barrel this morning.
We're not hearing anything though about Biden Harris buying more
oil to replace what they've taken out of the strategic reserves.
Hamas still not accepting the ceasefire hostage deal that Israel approved.
Is back to course by the US.
Speaker 2 (26:57):
Our message is it's clear and it's urgent.
Speaker 6 (27:04):
We need to get the ceasefire and hostage agreement over
the finish line, and we need to do it now.

One. When I find a story and I report on
the story, it makes me think of other things. So
the whole Kamala Harris is Kamala Harris a drinker thing
got me wondering about past presidents of the United States
and what their drinking habits were. So I did a
little research, and I found a couple of rather notorious
(28:22):
drinkers in the past. The oldest one far did you
go back? Well, I went all the way back to
George Washington. And even though even though you know George
Washington used.
Speaker 5 (28:33):
What's that that tavern in New York where he supposedly drank.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
Well and he produced he produced alcohol on his plantation too.
Of course we did whiskey, Yeah, exactly right. But I
was just looking for people who drank excessively, and the
furthest back I could find a drunk who was president
of the United States was Martin Van Buren eighteen thirty
seven to eighteen forty one. Drank so much that his
nickname was Blue Whiskey Van.
Speaker 5 (28:58):
I love it. That's funny. Then after and who says
the standard, what's successor? Well, I asked all the wrong questions.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
I guess that's in the eye of the beholder. Right
as to what would be considered excessive, Here's one I
think we could probably consider excessive. Franklin Pierce, also a
one term president, eighteen fifty three to eighteen fifty seven.
His heavy drinking was well known. When his president did
term of presidency was over, he said, I quote, there
is nothing left but to get drunk. Chances are pretty
(29:30):
good you're a pretty big drinker. If that's the last
thing you said going out of the White House. Nothing
left to do but to get drunk, ulysses S. Grant.
Speaker 5 (29:38):
Oh yeah, now see that's where I have to stay with.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
He did everything in access. He once smoked twenty cigars
in one day during the Civil War. Now I can
understand where you might nervously be smoking during battle or
what have you. But he drank a lot as well,
and ultimately he in addition to be a heavy drinker
and heavy smoker, he died of throat cancer as a
result of that, no doubt about that. Chester A. Arthur,
(30:07):
another one term president. Chester Arthur heavy drinker and affected
his health, and that's one of the reasons why he
didn't run for reelection. Rover Cleveland reportedly drank forty eight
beers a day. Of course, he was one of our
biggest presidents.
Speaker 5 (30:20):
And he was he was great on economic issues. Yeah,
wasn't one never gets any credit for it. He always
gets credit for being fat.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
Wasn't he the one that got stuck in the White
House Bathtoph might be I think it was. Let's get
the traffic in weather together that much sober, no regrets
weekend by the way, Yeah, we're all sober this morning.
I can vouch for that.
Speaker 4 (30:41):
We'll get to that shortly. Jimmy, you got North Loop

Speaker 5 (32:06):
I totally get that. Well, A little bit of.
Speaker 20 (32:09):
Rain is starting to show up, just mainly because of
the afternoon heating and the sea breeze. But that's that's
a good sign and the potential for summer rain through
the weekend. It's only a twenty percent chance of a
shower thunderstorm today, Tomorrow, Friday and Saturday Sunday, we have
a thirty percent chance to rain. But the good thing
(32:30):
is with more clouds and more rain, the temperatures tend
to go the other direction. And so today's going to

Everyone is five fifty two on news Radio seven forty KTRH.
Our headlines are a sponsored by DNM. Adoraies was another
night of violence in Mayhem. Outside the DNC, only a
small number of people were arrested. However, compare that to
J six for in Minneapolis. Cop Derek Chauvin, convicted in
the George Floyd death, has been moved to a minimum

suing a Georgia hospital after it lost part of his
skull and then charged him nineteen thousand dollars to replace him.
Speaker 2 (34:31):

Speaker 3 (34:56):
So now right now News Radio seven KR all.
Speaker 2 (35:01):
Right, I don't think there's any doubt that Joe Biden
was eliminated by backstabbers pulling off a coup. And every
time Nancy Pelosi goes on the media, she seems to
be a little bit more willing to admit that that's
exactly what happened.
Speaker 5 (35:16):
What she wants the credit for it. Well, Flexander Mussel
is on her way out the door herself.
Speaker 2 (35:21):
I mean she's pretty old, Yeah, she is pretty old.
Here she is on CNN. Here's what she had to
say about Joe Biden getting jettisoned by the Democrats, with
some reaction at the other end from Mike Huckabee.
Speaker 13 (35:32):
It does seem like there's some residual bad blood or resentment.
Speaker 12 (35:36):
And I'm wondering if you've spoken to him and what
your response is to that.
Speaker 5 (35:41):
Sometimes you just have to take a punch for the children.
Speaker 15 (35:45):
What I have to do, right, he made the decision
for the country.
Speaker 5 (35:50):
My concern was not about the president, was about his campaign.
Speaker 36 (35:54):
It's kind of sad. I mean, this is from the
side of the aisle that are his friends. These are
the people that supposedly love him, that are saying these
very horrible things, and the ones that put him on
the program long after his bedtime. Quite frankly, I think
a lot of America was asleep when he spoke because
they wanted to make sure Joe was also somehow asleep.
(36:16):
But he did yell his speech out for forty eight
long minutes.
Speaker 2 (36:19):
It seemed more like forty eight hours.
Speaker 36 (36:21):
And it was one that just was kind of sad
to watch this swan song more of a head dive
into a pool without water.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
What was it that Nancy Blosi said, sometimes you have
to take a punch.
Speaker 5 (36:34):
For the children, for the children, the children, What does
that mean? Speaking of your heavy drinkers. But you know
there's also this, they're desperate. I mean, what have we seen.
We've seen nothing but the old guard coming out trying
to save the bucket here. You know, they do a
coup on a seated president, you know, tell him that
he can't run who had fourteen million, fifteen million votes?
(36:58):
You know what is constitutional about that?
Speaker 2 (37:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (37:01):
I mean what's happening in this country is just unbelievable
to me. I just and I think millions of other people.
Speaker 2 (37:08):
Yeah. In meantime, outside of the DNC, you have all
this protesting which seems to be getting slightly more violent
each and every day. They're erecting even more fencing, even
more of a border wall around the DNC. You don't
have a problem building a wall there, do they? And
John Fetterman, you know he's a no show at the
Democrat National Convention.
Speaker 5 (37:26):
Well he's kind of a persona and on Grada now
too because he's sided with Israel. You can't have that
happening in the DNC because they need those votes.
Speaker 2 (37:34):
I guess five fifty six our time here in Houston's

That way, We'll let the media out. Thousands of protesters.
They actually clashed with police outside the DNC. Lots of

and JD. Vans last night Michelle on the stage, and
the senator is Bernie Sanders, you know, the big Socialist
party guy, Chuck Schumer of New York. They didn't talk
a lot about what they would do in order to
make our lives better. Kamala Harris and Tim Wallas skipped
(40:32):
it all the second day. Instead, they went to what
they call a rally in Milwaukee, invitation only.
Speaker 2 (40:38):
You know, you can find joy in the world everywhere.
Here's where I find my joy.
Speaker 4 (40:43):
On October first, we're going to have a little talkie
and I on the same stage.
Speaker 5 (40:47):
Yeah, Wall's claiming their campaign is based on joy. Yeah,
they have nothing to say about policies and as I said,
making our lives better. Harris appeared virtually last night and
then from a teleprompter during that rally with Waltz. She
wasn't asked any questions by the media, however, and according
(41:08):
to the writer Mark hemingway's because the media don't want
Trump back in the White House.
Speaker 9 (41:14):
The media are more than happy to serve kind of
as the praetorian guard for the Democratic Party and do
their bidding. And the fact that Kamala herrits have not
had to answer any questions about what her policies are.
It's just really astonished. She should not being probe on
these things. And these are major, major issues.
Speaker 5 (41:28):
Yeah, it won't change either before the election. The media
is Kamala cover Kamalala, la la la. Continuing. Trump continued
his tourist swing states yesterday in Michigan, calling out the
mainstream media for the kid glove treatment they give to
Harrison as they did to Biden.
Speaker 2 (41:45):
They have a fool, a fool as a president.
Speaker 10 (41:47):
They lied last night about things that nobody's ever seen.
They lied about soldiers Charlottesville. They lied about inflation. The
inflation has been absolutely horrible. And everyone knows.
Speaker 5 (41:59):
That Trump holding his first outdoor rally since the July
thirteen assassination attempt. He'll do it this afternoon in Ashboro,
North Carolina, one pm. Kamala Harris officially has refused the
Fox News debate on September four, so Donald Trump will
host a town hall on that network that date. Questioned

by Fox folks, it is now six oh four more
than sixty percent of Americans think we've just got a
bunch of woosses in this country. People too easily offended.
Speaker 37 (42:34):
The numbers from the liberal Pure Research Center prove which
you already know, Democrats are way more sensitive than Republicans

Speaker 11 (42:42):
Not surprising in that the Democrats have now become very
interested in new avenues of power that they didn't have before.

Speaker 1 (43:32):
I think they're seeing it backfire a bit. I do
think the more woke they go, the more danger they face.
Speaker 2 (43:37):
From a bottom line perspective. But I have noticed.
Speaker 1 (43:40):
I mean, nobody's hurting a Chick fil A these days.
Speaker 5 (43:43):
Yeah, thirty eight percent of Americans now believe that businesses
should not be taking political Oh, thirty eight percent believe
they should take political stands. It was forty eight percent
just two years ago. It's dropping. A federal court has
ruled a Google search engine is a monopoly, and now
the focus is on how will Google respond to threats

of a breakup.
Speaker 28 (44:08):
As of right now, the future of Google's monopoly has
yet to be determined.
Speaker 2 (44:12):
What is the remedy?
Speaker 15 (44:12):
Will that be a breakup, Will that be a required
investment of something, a.
Speaker 2 (44:16):
Change of behavior?
Speaker 15 (44:17):
That all will be determined starting in September.
Speaker 28 (44:20):
Internet and privacy attorney Travis Krabtree told KTRH we probably
won't see a final resolution to this anytime soon.
Speaker 15 (44:27):
This is really phase one of the monopoly finding, so
it may take another couple of years to determine what
is the appropriate remedy As.
Speaker 28 (44:34):
A result of this finding, Crabtree says, on top of
whatever action the courts take, Congress will also likely take action.

Now six oh six. Well, the local Democrats are all

a salary grievance committee that voted unanimously it's time to

for this for seven years with the Commissioner's Court, and
it is welcome news that they will get that raise.

You know, Ed Gonzalez makes two hundred and seventeen thousand

will make, you know, still forty thousand dollars less than Egnzalez.
Speaker 5 (45:29):
Yeah, next year they'll get the raise from what they're
making now one hundred thirty three thousand a year to
one hundred and seventy eight thousand. They haven't had a
raise in seven years. Other county positions pay as much
as three hundred and four hundred thousand dollars. You know,
it's just ridiculous. Violent crime in our city. Another murder,

Speaker 2 (51:38):
The Texas border has been certainly more secure than other
states borders thanks to the efforts of Governor Greg Abbott.
You know he was bussing thousands of migrants north. Are
those buses still rolling? Remember? Is it that the least
an NBC report, I mean take it with the grain
of salts coming from NBC says that there's just not
enough migrants of the Texas boarding more to bust them us.
(52:00):
Talk about this. Art Arthur, former immigration judge at the
Center for Immigration Studies. I know the flow has slowed
significantly But do you believe that to be true, art
that there's no longer enough migrants so called migrants at
the border for US to send buses north.
Speaker 30 (52:13):
Well, there's still plenty. There are enough migrants at the
border for it to be an issue not only for
Texas but for the rest of.
Speaker 2 (52:19):
The United States.
Speaker 30 (52:20):
But because of efforts taken by Governor Abbott operation hold
the line. Because the Mexican government on the other side
is actually beefing up its enforcement of those third country
migrants passing through Mexico, the numbers have dropped, and so
there probably are fewer people who are apprehended entering illegally
(52:42):
for Texas to move. But there's an important caveat to that,
and that is that the Biden Harris administration is now
funneling one thy four hundred and fifty other migrants through
the ports of entry, including those critical Texas ports, every day,
more than thirty three thousand people per month. So yeah,
don't let the numbers deceive you. They may be a
(53:02):
bit more diffuse than they were before. We're not seeing
the numbers of people coming in through the Rio Grand
Valley through Del Rio that we've seen before. But yeah, no,
the problem is still there, and it's probably gonna get
worse as the as the fall starts.
Speaker 5 (53:17):
Yeah, it's so amazing to me. We have a federal
government working hand in glove with nngo's non governmental industries.
They called they're an industry, they call themselves charities, but
they're not. They're working with cartels basically to get people
into this country. I just I can't understand it, and
I can understand why border patrol officers now are running
(53:40):
at great risk of committing suicide. Not to mention the judges,
we don't have enough judges to have. The whole thing
is just totally out of control.
Speaker 30 (53:50):
Yeah, no, and I mean that's a huge problem. Border
patrol morale has been down for the better part of
the last four years. They know that they're really not
valued by anybody in the White House or DHS headquarters.
And you know, for the last four years, the cartels
have basically controlled the border. They decide who's going to
come up. Now, for some reason, the Biden administration waited
(54:13):
until December last December to go to the Mexican government
and ask them to kindly stop that flow of third
country migrants who are flowing through their country. Keep in mind,
part of the root cause of strategy that Kamala Harris
was in charge of involved her going to Mexico City
to talk to Andre's Bonwel Lopez Oprador, the president of
(54:35):
that country, and to convince him to beef up the border.
She did that back in twenty twenty one, and yet
for some reason that never actually came to fruition until
the last few months. And at the same time, you know,
the Biden administration has crafted this completely illegal court strategy.
You literally download an app on your phone like it's
(54:56):
open table, You pick a time that you want to
show up the port of entry one thousand miles away,
and then you just walk through Mexico and show up
on time. Ninety six percent of those people who schedule
us in the app are paroled into the United States,
which means to get work authorization and can live here
indefinitely while there are asylum claims for being heard. Its
asylum claims take about four to ten years to hear.
(55:17):
So give you an idea how big a problem it's still.
Speaker 2 (55:20):
Facing it well, and imagine how bad it's going to
be come October. If you know, if there's concern on
behalf of these migrants that Trump gets elected because they
know things will change.
Speaker 5 (55:31):
Well, we know what's happening here in Texas, but when
you have NBC News coming out and giving cover, nobody
has nothing to see here, nothing to see here for
the rest of the country.
Speaker 2 (55:39):
All right, thanks for joining us, Sure do appreciate it.

least we've got that. Jobs in focus today on Wall Street.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics issuing its annual payrolls revision
later this morning. It is expected to show the original
estimates overstated the number of jobs in the US by
a lot. You remember how we were traumatized when we
had that weaker than expected jobs report earlier this month.

Good morning. Everyone is six thirty one on news Radio
seven forty k TRH. Our top story this hour, missing
illegal alien children. According to the Department of Homeland Security,
Inspector General ICE has lost track of over thirty two
thousand children over the last five years. Most of those
missing under Kamala Harris as she was borders are According
(59:09):
to a new poll, as many as forty percent of
Venezuelans now still planning on leaving their home country likely
headed here to the US.
Speaker 29 (59:18):
They're going to make it into Mexico, and it's going
to be up to Mexico where they hold them in
Mexico or Mexico is going to allow them to go through.
Speaker 2 (59:26):
That's going to be the key.
Speaker 5 (59:27):
Well after the election, you know, former Homeland Security Agent
Victor Avila telling KGRH is likely going to just increase
the already high crime that's caused by these Venezuelan gangs
of illegal aliens. Yeah, they're not sending the best, as
Donald Trump repeatedly says, not stopping. Mainstream media though, drewing
(59:48):
everything they can to cover for Kamala and spin the
border narrative.
Speaker 8 (59:54):
Sure, a recent story from NBC News claims there are
no longer enough legal immigrants to bus out of Texas.
Speaker 30 (01:00:03):
Part of the reason why the number of migrants being
released into Texas these dates has dropped is directly attributable
to Operation Loan Star.
Speaker 8 (01:00:12):
That is, former immigration judge Art Arthur, who says the
illegals are still coming, just not as much here in Texas.
Speaker 30 (01:00:20):
Yeah, that's absolutely true. And what the Biden administration continues
to do, however, is to open the ports of entry
to illegal migrants.

this on themselves.
Speaker 39 (01:00:55):
Kamala Harris is trying to play both sides. Joe Biden
has tried to do the same thing, and that's why
they have the mess on their hands that they do.
You cannot appease terrorist hamas sympathizers. There's no place for that,
and they're trying to embrace it.

Know, Dan, I listen to that, and I think, how
horrible it must be those people.
Speaker 41 (01:06:44):
But it's almost as if there was a splinter in
the foot of the Democratic Party. And every time I
took a step during Biden's presidency, thinking that he was
going to be their nominee and having spent fourty million
votes on it that they were like, oh, this is
so annoy And honestly, if Joe Biden was the nominee
and gave that speech last night, I think the room

would have been half empty. So when Al Sharpton says
that this is they took us out of the darkness
that Trump put us. And though the darkness was that
the problem for the Democrats was that their nominee was

I feel like this is sort of the situation now.
They broke the economy. It was really recovering at a
very nice pace when Trump left office in the last
six months of his administration, and it's really hard to
really point to just about anything that's going right. You know,
there's probably if you look about the twenty two or
twenty four major measures of how the economy is doing,
(01:13:06):
whether it's small business, real incomes, interest rates, inflation, on
and on the things that the chairman works on, which
is the data and the deficit, which are.
Speaker 2 (01:13:15):
Through the roof.
Speaker 40 (01:13:16):
It's really scary, I think to think what if we
do for more years of this I think it could
be catastrophic for the country, especially on those issues like spending.
So that's really the question. Now, Look, the economy has improved,
has improved over the last couple of years, and the
big question are people going to kind of be thinking, well,
things are getting a little bit better, So we're gonna
(01:13:37):
stick with the status quo. But when you have two
thirds of Americans saying they still think the American country
is in the wrong track, that's a pretty bad number.
Speaker 2 (01:13:46):
Yeah. You all those figures in the story we had
today about overestimating how many jobs are actually created by
one million? One million?
Speaker 5 (01:13:56):
Yeah, you know, we say one million, but we don't
know is that that monthly? Is that weekly? Is that quarterly?
Speaker 33 (01:14:02):
Is it?
Speaker 1 (01:14:03):
Truly?
Speaker 5 (01:14:03):
We don't know what the one million number is, but
it sure gets attention. I mean, hey, what was it?
That's a lot.
Speaker 2 (01:14:09):
That's a big number. All right, Time for the timeline

as the DNAC continues tonight. Reason why mainstream media won't
address any key policies or issues.
Speaker 2 (01:18:24):
Shia.
Speaker 8 (01:18:24):
That reason is simple, because they don't want Trump to win.
Speaker 9 (01:18:29):
The media is very cognitiant of what's going on right now.
They know that if you know, we're making direct comparisons
about no quality of life and or policies. Obviously the
policies and the Trump administration resulted and outcomes to me
voters a lot happier.
Speaker 8 (01:18:41):
That's writer Mark Hemingway with The Federalist. So will Kamala
ever be exposed? Probably not.
Speaker 9 (01:18:47):
Trump and the Trump campaign have known all along, or
they better have known all along, that they cannot count
on the media to do their jobs. The press is
still in the tank for Kamala.
Speaker 8 (01:18:58):
And it's going to be up to Trump to get

Speaker 5 (01:19:05):
It's now seven oh three. Trump continuing his campaign in
swing states. Yesterday he was in Howell, Michigan, and he
was talking a lot about crime in our country, and
a reporter confronted him for even being in that particular
city because Harris once called it the KKK capital.
Speaker 10 (01:19:26):
Who was here in twenty twenty one?
Speaker 2 (01:19:30):
Thank you, Thank you, everybody.
Speaker 5 (01:19:32):
That was Trump's response, and who was here in twenty

It was Joe Biden who was there. Trump holding his

do it today in Ashboro, North Carolina. One PM. Speculation
(01:19:52):
that the independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy could drop out
of the race and team up with Donald Trump in
order to stymy Harris Walls win.
Speaker 43 (01:20:07):
We walk away right now and join forces with Donald Trump,
and you know, we walk away from that and we
explain to our base why we're making this decision.
Speaker 5 (01:20:21):
Yeah. That is rfk's running mate Nicole Shanahan, and on
a podcast called The Impact Theory, she sounds so California well,
it helps to have California in the tank with you.
It is now seven o five sixty percent of Americans
think people are too easily offended these days. We used
(01:20:41):
to call them snowflakes. According to the liberal Pew Research Center,
that who's that's who did the poll. Political analyst Jake
Novak says, it's the left that's the super sensitive snowflight
part of our population.
Speaker 11 (01:20:58):
They're the ones who want to shut down free speech.
They're the ones who want to shut down anyone who
is voting for Donald Trump who was never a member
of the political class. That's the biggest insult that they
could ever take.
Speaker 5 (01:21:09):
More than eighty percent of Republicans told the poll people
are just too easily offended and is a major issue
in our lives. Only forty five percent of Democrats would
say that Harley Davison under duress from its customers, officially
dropping its DEI bend and policies. Now, turns out most
Americans want businesses to stay out of politics completely.
Speaker 12 (01:21:32):
A new Gallup survey finds just thirty eight percent think
companies should take a stand on political issues, down ten
points from two years ago. Political analyst Anthony Russo SA's
companies are starting to get the message.
Speaker 13 (01:21:42):
Because of how divided we are. It makes it very
difficult to make a political stance. They have to understand
their ramifications.
Speaker 14 (01:21:49):
Like the Tractor Supplies, you got to understand that you're
setting yourself up for de cancelation, which originally started with
the left and now it starts at the right.
Speaker 12 (01:21:56):
Recently, both Tractor Supply and John Deere had to put
out statements reversing liberal policies and vowing to stay out
of politics. Coriolson, Who's radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 5 (01:22:06):
It's now seven oh six seven years. They've been rejected
by the Harris County Commissioner's Court and it is elected
constables I'm talking about. You know, they help keep the peace.
They have not gotten a raise, and so they went
to the Salary Grievance Committee who voted yes, unanimously to
give raises to these elected officials like Precinct Ones, Alan
(01:22:31):
Rosen pay equity.
Speaker 16 (01:22:33):
I now find myself fighting for me today. Unfortunately, do
you value the men and women who risk their lives
every day who are led by leaders like me?
Speaker 5 (01:22:44):
And the answer from that committee was yes. The constables
now will be making one hundred and seventy eight thousand
dollars next year. Better note though, to you, the county
Community Services director. You know, the commissioner's court sets up
ye three hundred and forty four thousand dollars mm yikes.
(01:23:05):
And the county commissioners themselves make more than the constables do.
They're risking their lives. It's now seven oh seven. The
Strows lose to the Red Sox sixty five. Justin Berlander
is going to return from his injury now to start

Series this afternoon two pm in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. I'm Sheriff
Fryar on news radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 22 (01:23:45):
What happened, Why it happened? Jimmy Barrett and Sheriff Fryar
explain it. Now back to Houston's morning News. Now, you're
either going to think that this story is really tacky
or a brilliant idea, depending upon how you feel about
donating to college athletics, how you feel about your football
(01:24:07):
program and them having to compete with other football programs
based on monetary dollars, because we don't just give scholarships anymore.
We have nil funds, which give the star players in
particular and opp between to make millions of dollars while
they're still in college. The problem is, at least as
(01:24:27):
Mike Gundhy, the head coach at Oklahoma State, sees it,
the problem is that he's not recruiting just star players.
He's got offensive linemen, he's got defensive linemen.
Speaker 5 (01:24:37):
He's got to do a team.
Speaker 2 (01:24:38):
He's got a team where only the star players are
making money and nobody else is. So this fall, we'll
see how the reaction is this this fall, his players
will be wearing QR codes on the back of their helmets,
which you can take a shot of and will take
you to the Oklahoma State Nil Fund, where you can
(01:24:59):
make a minimum contribution of one hundred dollars anywhere from
one hundred to five thousand dollars to fund anil fund
for the players who are not getting the big money
at Oklahoma State, He's hoping that what happens with this
is that he gets enough support for the program, then
he can raise enough money through this fund in order
to be able to pay these people who are not
star players, so he can have an edge of recruiting.
Speaker 5 (01:25:23):
He says.
Speaker 2 (01:25:24):
He says yes, And from that aspect it makes sense.
The question becomes as a fan, what do you think?
Speaker 9 (01:25:31):
You know?
Speaker 2 (01:25:32):
First of all, do you support the idea of the
NIL fund? Right now it's just corporations and advertisers who
are participating in this. But are you, as a fan,
willing to pony up money to pay football players at
your favorite college to play football?
Speaker 5 (01:25:44):
On whether you're going to be a fan of professionally
paid collegiate sports, because that's what it has become. Sure,
I mean, as anything goes, you know, gamblings involved that,
you know, all kinds of things are involved. Now I've
taken away we have turned it a leegiate athletics. It
doesn't exist.
Speaker 2 (01:26:04):
We've officially charted it into the minor leagues of the NFL.
Exactly seven ten, time for traffic and weather together, we're

North sam doing its thing. We'll check that momentarily.
Speaker 4 (01:26:14):
Let's go to the toll bridge though southbound that we
still have pavement repair. No, that's clear, okay, but and
this is a big toll bridge, but southbound is just
one lane, so that's messing things up. Twelve minutes this way.
Let's take six to ten the Sherman Bridge Katie Freeway.
The breaks now from Graham Parkway into Mason. Still not
bad for the Katie and check you right into downtown.
We look great on the Katie side, Baytown side. We've
(01:26:37):
cleared one of our problems. The concrete trucks out of
the way at sixty nine. They're still an eighteen wheeler
on the side he stalled.
Speaker 9 (01:26:43):

Speaker 2 (01:26:43):

Speaker 35 (01:26:44):

Top tax Defenders twenty four hour Weather Center, Terry Smith
is here. You're the Russian judge on this weather forecast.
What would you give the score as the weather I'll
give it a one.
Speaker 5 (01:27:37):
I was gonna say too, Hi.
Speaker 20 (01:27:41):
Yeah. The heat is definitely a factor again today After
today becomes less of a factor, it still will be
a factor through the weekend, but less of a factor.
Excessive heat warning until ten o'clock tonight. Temperatures upper nineties
to one oh four. We do have a twenty percent
chance of a thunderstorm, but that means most of us
won't see any that twenty percent chance of rain every
(01:28:01):
day through Saturday, thirty percent chance of a shower thunderstorm Sunday.
Temperatures tomorrow and Friday mid nineties to one hundred over
the weekend mid to upper nineties. That's what August is
supposed to be, mid to upper nineties.

It's Houston's Morning News, brought to you byen New South
Windows Solutions. Now back to Jimmy and Sherah with the
info you need to take on the day.
Speaker 2 (01:28:29):
Okay, I've been share I've been curious about this all morning.
You know that story of RFK Junior perhaps being willing
to team up with Trump, obviously in return for some
sort of a position within the Trump government. Supposedly he
floated the same idea past past the Harris campaign and
they turned him down. So is he just looking just
(01:28:51):
looking for a government job? Is that what this is
all about? Can who would there?
Speaker 5 (01:28:57):
I don't know. I was reading just this morning about that.
Some people suspect that this look. Trump has promised transparency
and he says he would consider a place in his cabinet. Well,
what could be more transparent than having a Kennedy come
aboard with the president who said some time ago, I've
(01:29:23):
seen all the stuff in the Kennedy assassination. But if
you knew what I knew you wouldn't release it yet either,
So now I know this is what the conspiracy people
are sure about. Sure there today from very interesting to
see a Kennedy who's far left. He is in team
up with Donald Trump.
Speaker 2 (01:29:41):
Well, there's one job they could give him that I
would approve of the vaccine stuff. Yeah, make him a
head of the CDC.
Speaker 5 (01:29:48):
And dismantle it.
Speaker 2 (01:29:50):
Dismantle it. Yes, Please seven for traffic and weather together.
As we check out the drive once again, here's the
guy Mike Weiser's down. I hope your AC works it.
Speaker 4 (01:30:00):

Speaker 2 (01:30:03):
There we are.
Speaker 4 (01:30:04):
It's a wreck of two left lines, but the spackle
is also inbound, because if some of it's revernaking, some
of it's just the usual Ktie Freeway visor problems. Six
minutes this way, you've got downtown. We've cleared one of
our two problems. You've got the concrete mixer coming off
the rent from the east text to iten in front

Speaker 2 (01:30:21):
That's moved. But this other eighteen wheeler.
Speaker 5 (01:30:24):

Seven twenty two or time here in Houston's borting news.
All right, there's a story in the third They got
our attention. Mark Hemingway wrote it. He's a senior writer
with real clear investigations. It's about the press, and it's
something we all know that the press is doing. But
the press hopes that your average American doesn't know that
they're doing this, which is avoiding any real issues because
(01:32:16):
they don't want to be able to They don't want
to have to talk about policy. They don't want to
have to talk about Trump policy versus Kamala Harris's policy.
Joining us talk about the guy who wrote that article,
Mark Hemingway, it's obvious to us. Mark, Do you think
it's obvious to your average American what's going on with this?
Speaker 9 (01:32:34):
I mean, I think it's getting to the point where
you know, it's unavoidable, and it's been a you know,
nearly a month and you know, bam and Kamala Harris
hasn't had to answer questions from the press at all.
I mean, she was made the nominee of her party
without answering any questions from the press, and this crazy
process where she was swapped in, you know, at the
last minute for the guy that's already president, was already
running and you know, again not a single president view.
(01:32:56):
I mean, how do you justify.
Speaker 5 (01:32:57):
This that's answering to the people?
Speaker 22 (01:33:00):
You know.
Speaker 5 (01:33:00):
And what's really amazing to me is latest analysis that
eighty four percent of media coverage of Harris has been
positive eighty nine percent of coverage on Trump has been
negative across the major networks CBS, NBC, ABC. I mean,
how can they justify that and call themselves journalists.
Speaker 9 (01:33:24):
I'm yeah, it's insane. I'm looking at a piece that
just ran in Political this morning called Meet Doug m Hoff.
That's Kamala Harris's husband, Meet Doug m Hoff, Dad in chief.
Doug m Hoff had an affair with a babysitter in
his last marriage, and we're calling him, you know, some
model dad here. I mean, the media have absolutely no
shame here. But again, you know, this is you know
(01:33:47):
what we've been talking about. You know, if the media
has to deal with the actual issues, the actual character
of the candidates. Trump, you know, isn't going to look
so bad. He's going to you know, when it comes
to policy, he's going to look fantastic relative to the depulic.
Speaker 2 (01:34:01):
Well, all that is very very true. But this, this
has been the playbook, and this has worked very well.
It's worked very well, and certainly in the last election.
As much as we'd like to think it's easy enough
to see through, plenty of people are buying it.
Speaker 9 (01:34:14):
My operating theory at this point in time is that
the press are actually excited to like go along with
this thing where they they're right about Kamala Harris without
putting any pressure on her or asking her any tough questions,
because you know, their reputations is so devastated in recent years,
you know, whether it was you know, COVID or Russia
Gate or you know, the Hunter's laptop or all these
other stories that they've got wrong, that they're just so
(01:34:35):
happy that they still it can demonstrate they have the
power to like move the needle and affect the elections,
because at the end of the day, the fact of
the matter is we have a propaganda press. That's number
one concern is being able to sway elections. It's not
you know, to do what you've been traditionally taught about
the press. It's you know, where they're supposed to be,
you know, help citizens hold the government accountable. That's not
(01:34:55):
what they're about at all. Their job, as they see it,
is to make sure that the electoral out come out
in a way that they and the you know, Washington
d C. Institutional class are happy with.
Speaker 2 (01:35:06):
Yeah, they're not a journalists anymore. Their activists.
Speaker 5 (01:35:09):
And I'm not even sure how big they are because
when you've got big tech, when you you've got search
engines like Google, keeping people in the dark about what's
really happening in the world, I don't know when when
do these lines cross? Do you see it happening anytime soon? Well,
people are awakened, as opposed to those who are just
(01:35:33):
continuing the cover up.
Speaker 9 (01:35:36):
Yeah, well, I mean I think people are obviously, you know,
if you look at the approval ratings for the press,
and it's just their their approval ratings are in the
absolute toilet right now. And while it is true that
I do think the press has you know, some effect
on the public, it isn't what it used to be.
Speaker 13 (01:35:51):
You know.
Speaker 9 (01:35:51):
It is true that you know, we should pointing out
Kamala Harris is getting eighty four percent approval and you know,
and Trump is getting eighty nine percent you know, negative
coverage from the press. But look at what the results
of that are. Kamala is you know, up in the polls,
and yes, she'd rather be up than than not, but
she's only up by an average of I think one
point four percent in the national polls, you know. And
(01:36:12):
then giving Trump's overperformance in the polls in twenty twenty
and twenty sixteen, an election where he wanted, an election
where he almost won night lost just by forty thousand votes,
if Kamala is not up by four or five points
by the end of this convention, I'd start to be
very bullish on Donald Trump and it. And it really
just affirms that the press have so gutted their reputation
(01:36:34):
and their credibility by you know, going overboard with this
fawning coverage of political cannabis and causes that they like, well,
slamming anyone that that they they you know that they
disagree with that. They have no credibility left and no
ability to actually have to shape public opinion like they
used to.
Speaker 2 (01:36:51):
Okay, Mark, thank you, good to talk to you, sir,
appreciate it. Senior writer, Real Clear Investigations, Mark Hemingway, seven
twenty seven. It's time to take a look at your money.
He's ellgrinnies in this morning.
Speaker 5 (01:37:01):
Hey there, Jimmy. Mortgage rates coming down.
Speaker 26 (01:37:04):
The average rate on a thirty year fix now six
point five percent. That's compared to six five four percent
the previous week. Maybe not falling fast enough for some
purchase applications are down, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association.
Speaker 5 (01:37:17):
Those gold coins.
Speaker 26 (01:37:18):
Under your mattress are buried in the backyard. They could
be a worth a lot more than you paid for them.
Gold futures lower this morning, but close to record highs
as investors wait to hear from Fed Chair J. Powell
later this week, and also for the Fed to announce
a possible interest rate move in September. Stock futures right
now they are higher, Dow up eighty s and P
up twelve. NASDA c Cup forty four, and I got
(01:37:40):
some new chips for you that might make it a
little bit easier to clean up after you eat them.
Doritos out with a limited addition Dorito's Mini's Cool Ranch
zero Gravity flavored Tortilla chips. These are actually designed in
the gimmick goes anyway for consuming in space at zero gravity.
They keep that cheese dust from floating away. I guess
(01:38:03):
it sticks to the chip. And also they're bite sized,
so you can eat them one bite and you don't
have to worry about crumbs floating the cabin if you're
in space. Maybe it'll mean you'll just find a smaller
layer of crumbs underneath that lazy boy cushion.
Speaker 18 (01:38:15):
Out it up.
Speaker 26 (01:38:16):
