effort to provide some well amnesty. Harris County, a Democrat
still trying to put their thumb on the election scale
and come up at five oh eight. The price of

(00:38):
happiness according to this story, it's two hundred thousand dollars.
Details in the minutes ahead. You're in Houston's Morning News. First,
we're gonna check out that boarding drive. Here's they have
work for you, Skuyline turning grand I can do that.
Let's go. Let's go to the southeast side.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
Jimmy, I think these sol splotches I'm seeing on my
low pal peels pocket radar here, I think they are real.
But either way, let's let's that's being prepared for showers,
especially to the southeast. Right now, I'm seeing stepp around
clear like NASA one right in front of NASA in fact,
and around the chemo boardwalk. Guys, you're looking southwest Southwest Freeway. Now,
I've got some wet roads it looks like too, but

(01:13):
Highway six up in is an easy twenty one minute drive.
By the way, your in car navigation is going to
show the toll bridge and red. I don't know how
to fix that, and I'm supposed to be, but it's not.
It's fine for now, get on while you can. I'm
SKYMIKEE on the Generator Supercenter dot Com traffic Center.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
From r KTRH top tax Defenders, twenty four hour Weather Center.
Mostly cloudy skies forty percent chance with skeedtered shower storm.
We're seeing some rain around the coast right now. That's
what Mike is seeing on his pocket radar. I today
right about ninety will fine tune the forecast with Jeff
Eno at the Weather Channel when we talked to him
in eight minutes right down seventy six at your officials
Severe Weather Station News Radio seven forty k t RH.

(01:49):
It's time now for the news.

Speaker 5 (01:51):
Here's Sheriff Ryer and good morning everyone. Is five h
two on news radio seven forty k t RH our
top story this hour. A Texas federal judge halts of
Biden administration policy that would have granted amnesty immediately to
millions of illegal aliens.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Judge j.

Speaker 6 (02:08):
Campbell Barker, appointed by Donald Trump, stops for now a
Bikeen administration policy that would give illegal aliens married to
US citizens amnesty. This came after Texas and fifteen other
states sued over the program that was announced back in June.
On social media, Ken Paxton said that this plan would
have rewarded over a million illegal aliens, adding that this
was quote just the first step. We are going to

(02:30):
keep fighting for Texas, our country, and the rule of law.
Cliff Saunders, News Radio seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 5 (02:37):
Harris County Democrats planning to steal the vote, Planning to
mail voter registration forms to addresses that don't have a
voter living there, taking away the authority from the elected
voting registrar.

Speaker 7 (02:52):
They're putting their thumb on the scale. It's not something
that they should be able to do. And unfortunately they're
up to the same old methodology, which is spent taxpayer
money to do something that is not intended by the legislature.

Speaker 5 (03:04):
Yeah, State Senator Paul Bettencourt Precinct three Republican Tom Ramsey
will be joining us to talk about this at seven
point fifty this morning. Texas Secretary of State will be
monitoring Harris County elections in November, and audit from twenty
twenty two found multiple violations of state law by the
Democrats here. This comes as Governor Greg Abbott announced the

(03:24):
removal of more than a million ineligible voters from the
Texas voting roles one million. And while state lawmakers did
cap property taxes, remember that Harris Counties found a loophole
in the law. They could and will raise our taxes
by eight percent. It's because of a disaster declaration in
the county this year.

Speaker 8 (03:45):
This week they'll be talking about the budget and so
there's still time to hear about it. But you know,
I hope others do speak out because it's ridiculous and
I think this is something that the legislature needs to
look at.

Speaker 5 (03:55):
Next question Urban reforms, Charles Blaine. It's now five oh four.
Kamala Harris coming for our money. Money we haven't even
made yet.

Speaker 9 (04:04):
Vice President Kamala Harris has endorsed a budget plan that
includes a twenty five percent tax on unrealized capital gains
for high net worth individuals. That means you would be
taxed on the increased value of your home or assets,
even if you haven't cashed them out. The American thinkers
Monica Showalter says this would be disastrous.

Speaker 10 (04:21):
It's a total recipe for capital flight, offshore accounts, assets hidden,
you know, black market type things.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
There's no better way.

Speaker 10 (04:29):
You can just drive capital out because nobody's going to
want the value of their property for their assets ever
to go up.

Speaker 9 (04:35):
She adds that it's also likely illegal since it would
tax money that hasn't even been received. Corey Jolson News
Radio seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 5 (04:43):
Yeah, Harris meantime went from being the most unpopular VP
ever to the next Obama. How did that happen?

Speaker 11 (04:51):
The Democrat Party has become the deep state. The Kamala
was a perfect little puppet.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
The problem is she's.

Speaker 11 (04:57):
Useless, and so now the media really does do have
to fall on the media has to make it look
like it's closer than it is.

Speaker 12 (05:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (05:05):
Republican strategist Matt Locke says their goal is really simple.
They'll do anything to keep Donald Trump out of the
White House. Five oh five is our time. Trump did
campaign yesterday and battleground Michigan at the National Guard Association conference.

Speaker 13 (05:21):
Do we well restore world peace and it will be
again peace through strength?

Speaker 5 (05:29):
Trump in Detroit. He also paid respects to the thirteen
American troops who were killed dozens of others maimed in
the terrorists to bomb the disastrous Biden Harris withdrawal of
troops from Afghanistan. It was three years ago, and yes,
Harris is being called out for it too. She is
often bragged of her role in that withdrawal Afghanistan.

Speaker 14 (05:51):
Yes, were you the last person in the room?

Speaker 5 (05:54):
Yes, Harris on CNN three years ago. ABC, CBS, NBC,
by the way, ignored this important anniversary on their Monday
morning shows. Neither Biden nor Harris gave it the time
of day either. Bipartisan House Tests for US investigating the
July thirteenth assassination attempt visited that side in Butler, Pennsylvania yesterday.

(06:17):
Another group of Republicans, though, held their own investigation. It
was a hearing on Capitol Hill led by Texas Congressman
Chip Roy.

Speaker 15 (06:26):
Is it justin competence that there was no drone being
flown and the drone was turned down by the Secret Service.
Was it justin competence that the shooter had a drone?
As the FBI director testified in front of the House,
you just share a committee that he literally had flying
within a couple hundred feet of the stage the same day.

Speaker 16 (06:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (06:46):
The final report from Roy's group due December thirteenth is
five oh six half of TikTok users under the age
of thirty, we learn are using that social media app
owned by China China to get their news.

Speaker 17 (07:02):
This means China is now supplying the news to huge
numbers of potential voters.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
TikTok is a direct threat to American national security.

Speaker 18 (07:09):
It is a weapon that China is using to divide
this country to advance false information.

Speaker 17 (07:15):
Political analyst Matt mccobeac says this is the perfect example
of how China is trying to gain influence inside the
United States.

Speaker 18 (07:22):
We have to wake up to the threat that China
poses to America. The China's at war with us, whether
we're or with them or not. As time we take
it as seriously as it requires.

Speaker 17 (07:29):
Thanks to action taken by Congress, China will have to
divest from TikTok, but not till after the presidential election.
Ethan Buchanan News Radio seven forty ktrh.

Speaker 5 (07:39):
Meantime, in terms of censorship, well Fort Band ISSD has
voted authority to the superintendent alone, doctor Mark Smith, to
remove books from school libraries. It's five oh seven. The
Stros loose to Philadelphia three to two. The series continuing
tonight pregame four thirty on Sports Talk seven ninety Game
Time five forty rachel join in progress at seven, and

(08:01):
the Mariners beat Tampa Bay five to one. The Astros
lead in the American League West now down again to
three and a half games. It's still a lead. I'm
sure A fryar and News Radio seven forty k trhs.

Speaker 14 (08:14):
The hottest happening right now.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
The hottest news happens right here.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Stay alert and be prepared on US Radio seven forty ktrh.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
Money can't buy happiness, That's what they say. I don't
believe that's true. I think money can buy you a
lot of things. If if it can't buy you happiness,
it's a hell of a down payment. The price of happiness, however,
is up four grabs, and that would be according to
this story, two hundred. We can put a price tag

(08:46):
on it, two hundred thousand dollars for average American in
liquid assets. In other words, I have, I can get
my hand, can encount your house, right, it's gotta be liquid,
So that would be so.

Speaker 5 (08:59):
Yeah, if you have to jump and run.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
Exactly, I mean, it could be stocks in that.

Speaker 5 (09:02):
Kind of stright you need to use it.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Yeah, I mean, it could be something that for the operation. Yeah,
it could be something you could easily sell. I would
consider that a liquid asset. I don't think it has
to all be cash for the.

Speaker 5 (09:13):
Wedding or something. We daughter's wedding destination.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
I'm I'm glad I didn't have any daughters, but I'm
not spending two hundred thousand dollars on a wedding. Okay,
I know they do. They're crazy. They're crazy two hundred
thousand dollars for a wedding, especially given the divorce rate.
I mean, come on, what cracks me up as the
people who spend that kind of money on the first
wedding and do the same thing on the second wedding.
It's like, come on, now, should have learned your lesson

(09:42):
the first time Okay. Financial advice website card rates dot
Com found the fifty six percent of Americans said they
would be content with a liquid net worth of two
hundred thousand dollars. They surveyed seven hundred and eighty six
employed Americans between the ages of eighteen and forty three.
Found that having money may not buy happiness, but a
safety net does. In other words, not having to worry

(10:04):
the roof springs a leak, That's okay, I'll just pay cash.
You know, you have a medical emergency, That's okay, I've
got the money to take care of it.

Speaker 5 (10:15):
Not having to charge it at you serious interest.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Rates exactly, exactly exactly.

Speaker 5 (10:21):
It doesn't buy you happiness exactly. Maybe contentment or security
or just relief. Yeah, relief, you know, relief from worry.
You know, I think you a cushion. It's funny, though,
you know how you're worries you always as a human being.
I believe you always worried. The only thing that changes
over the course of your life is what you're worried about.
You know, a young person's worries are different than an

(10:43):
older person's worries. But it seems like every at every
point in life, you got some sort of a nagging
worry somewhere in the back there, right, what if this happens?
What do I do if this happens? Kind of explains
the envy then over people who have more than two
hundred thousand dollars. You know, this attack on. We're going to.

Speaker 19 (11:02):
Attack the rich. We're going to make the rich pay.
I think, now, how is that fair? It's not fair,
But I think I think I think you're right. I
think it's it's jealousy, it's empty. It's it's knowing that
that person can buy whatever they walk whenever they want
to buy it. People love that. Five eleve it's time
for trafficking.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
Whether together fully disagree on which part you should spend
money on your wedding. Statistically, if you do not two
hundred thousand dollars, but if you.

Speaker 4 (11:27):
Spend more than twenty thousand dollars, you are eighty six
point five percent more likely.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
Not on you not on your third, fourth, or fifth marriage.
You should not.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
Next time I get married, I'm spending money. All right,
Let's go to the southeast side. I got some rain
on the belt here, Jimmy, look out. That sounds like
something personal but to twenty five to the Golf Freeway.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
We're rocking along on your toll waist toll bridge.

Speaker 4 (11:47):
If you insist on doing that little one lane southbound
with the tech stock wall of death.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
We've got another week or so, they say.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
They say by September first they should have another lane again,
and then they've got to work on that other span.
But you know, I'm not gonna hold my breasth Go Freeway.
I've got something smunching up here right around the south Loop.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
I just caught that. It's a good thing.

Speaker 4 (12:07):
I slept on my pillow last night. We're a little
slow now from Belfort coming in. I'm gonna get you
some laneage at the five twenty break Skymike here in
the generator of Supercenter dot Com Traffic.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
Center from r KTRH top tax Defenders twenty four hour
Weather Center. Time to check in with Jeff eno in
again today for Terry. It looks like the radars active
down around the coast again this morning.

Speaker 20 (12:26):
That is definitely the case, already seeing towards Bay City
and then down towards the Texas City towards Galveston. Some
of these isolated showers and storms popping up, and we
could see some a little more locally. They'll just kind
of burn out, and then we'll continue to rense and repeat.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
Throughout the day.

Speaker 20 (12:43):
Today it's scattered showers and storms, not quite as much
coverage even as yesterday, About a fifty percent chance for
the rain. We'll hit the low nineties once again, Heat
index around one three, and then tonight partley, cloudie, low
in the upper seventies. Tomorrow, mostly sunny, late morning shower
hours and thunderstorms sixty percent chance on a high in
the low nineties. Heat IndX tomorrow around one oh five,

(13:05):
and then those showers and possible thunderstorms with us both
Thursday and for Friday. Temperature right now seventy six, said
your officials, Severe Weather Station News Radio seven forty k TRH.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
It's Houston's Morning News, brought to you byden New South
Windows Solutions. Now back to Jimmy and Scherah with the
info you need to take on.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
The day coming up on five. Funny is our time
here on Houston's Morning News. Yesterday, they had their first
committee meeting over the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump.
They also made a field trip to Butler Pennsylvania. I'm
not quite sure congressmen keep going up to Butler, Pennsylvania.
I guess they just want to see for themselves how
close that building was to where President Trump was.

Speaker 5 (13:46):
Best way maybe to interact with the local police that
could be too. The basically got stymied by the Secret
Service and everything they tried to do.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
Good point, Yeah, that may be the only way they
can get any information because right now they're not getting
any cooperation all from the FBI, Department of Justice, Seek Service,
none of them.

Speaker 5 (14:02):
The local corner which the FBI basically bypassed.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Right represent the Corey Mills from Florida. He's not on
the committee because they didn't Democrats didn't want him on
the committee. But he's following the action of the committee.
He's well informed about what's going on. So what he
had to say about day one coming up in just
a moment. First though, traffic and weather together. We're checking
out the drive again. Here is Skymike.

Speaker 4 (14:22):
You know what I saw yesterday TV was showing they
were showing, oh, black plume of smoke.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
Have you never been to Houston before? This is welcome.

Speaker 4 (14:31):
This is an east side thing. It's a plant flaring
TV people. It's just a normal TV love fires. They
love fires.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
It's putting out global warming. It's a flare, so anyway,
so they don't know. Bless their heart, it's just normal
East Side thing. Those of you advisors.

Speaker 4 (14:48):
I know, even the visors know that they know that
they're ahe town people.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
All right.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
Golf Freeway, thought we had a wreck. Transtar tells me
that's actually picking up some roadwork. It'll go away quickly.
I'll keep an eye out though. We've got another one
coming up in ten minutes.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
The Generator Supercenter dot Com traffic Center from our KTRH
top tax defenders twenty four hour weather center. Mostly cloudy today,
fifty percent chance of a scattered shower or thunderstorm right
about ninety mainly sunny skies for tomorrow, stray shower storm
possible ninety two and then scattered morning storm chance on Thursday.
More widespread for the afternoon. So Thursday's looking like a
better chance of seeing some more widespread rain, at least

(15:22):
in the afternoon with a high eighty seven. Temperature right
now is seventy six at your official severe weather station,
News Radio seven forty KTRH. Just check out some of
our top stories on those Tuesday morning Mere Shera.

Speaker 5 (15:38):
Open your mic. It is now five twenty one on
news radio seven forty KTRH. Our headlines are sponsored by
Texas Mutual Insurance. Donald Trump has picked up another endorsement
from a former Democrat Special counsel Jack Smith Appeals. He's
trying to reinstate the mar A Lago document's case that
got thrown out of court by the federal judge Eileen

(15:58):
Cannon of a million dollar Mega Million's ticket that was
sold in Houston back in March. Running out of time
to claim the prize. The deadline five pm on September thirteenth.
It's a Friday. By the way, latest news anytime at
KTIRH dot com. Our next update will be at the
bottom of the hour.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
It doesn't bode well when we say what happens next
happens here.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
This is just in your guests, is as good as ours.
What happens next Man on news Radio seventy four KTRH. Butler,
Pennsylvania has been visited by I want to say half
of the Republicans serving in Congress have probably been to Butler,
Pennsylvania by this point. Best way to see what's going

(16:43):
on or what went on from that perspective on the
day that Donald Trump was shot. Where there's an assassination attempt,
Democrats would prefer we don't mention this anymore. For one thing,
they probably don't like the fact that the Secret Service
is getting a deep dive right now, at least by
some people in so is. The FBI represent of Corey
Mills is among those who keeps asking the question was

(17:06):
it just in competence or was it something else? So
here's what he had to say about the testimony here
heard yesterday, day one of the Assassination Committee's meeting.

Speaker 21 (17:17):
Well, look, we had our very first hearing today, if
you will, our forum where we had Ben Schaefer, who
is one of the actual counter snipers that was on
the ground there.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
He confirmed not only.

Speaker 21 (17:27):
What type of a sophisticated explosive device that Thomas Crooks
had as well as for the multi channel detonator, but
he also confirmed two key things.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
One that the.

Speaker 21 (17:38):
Secret Service refused the offer of communication platforms to be
able to ensure that everyone has a comms channel that
they can utilize, and two that they were offered a
surveillance drawn by local law enforcement and once again the
Secret Service refused to utilize it. So now we have
three things Jesse. We have no COMMS plan and no
communications which is refused. We have no increase in presence

(18:01):
by the Secret Service as they claimed they didn't want
to make the offer that was refused. We had no surveillance,
drong capability or way to be able to get views
onto the AhR buildings because it was refused. The question
now becomes why was the Secret Service setting this up
for failure by not going forward and utilizing all the
available assets and resources to ensure the safety and security

(18:23):
of former President Donald J.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
Trump.

Speaker 6 (18:25):
What could their possible explanation be for refusing all of
this stuff.

Speaker 21 (18:30):
Well, again, I think that they're going to try and
run this whole idea of negligence or the fact that
they're going to try and say that it was the
fault of three or four of the officers. The bottom
line stops at the director themselves. And I can tell
you we asked Dan Bongino today, former Secret Service officer,
whether or not he feels safer with Ronald Row at
the seat, and he said absolutely not. Look, this is

(18:51):
a culture of a foster dei society whereby they are
not trying to send their best I went through a
plethora of lists only twenty three to twenty twenty four
of all the failed and mistaps that has been taken.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
By the Secret Service, So I can tell you it
is a culture issue.

Speaker 14 (19:08):
It is DEI at heart.

Speaker 21 (19:09):
But this is either criminal gross negligence or purposeful intent,
and that's what we're set out to actually find.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
You know, there's a way that it could be both exactly,
and it probably is. If this kid had a sophisticated
explosive device, he didn't make it himself.

Speaker 5 (19:26):
And multinational platforms, encrypted platform texting and messaging.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
This has all the hallmarks of a foreign power who
we know that are ron for example internal one or
yeah well or or again it could be a combination.
Share could be as simple as we have discovered that
the Ranian government is trying to kill President Trump, and
they've got some kid who they're giving an explosive device
to and making sure that you know, he has the
information that.

Speaker 5 (19:53):
The internal enemies who are taking advantage of the fact
that there are outside enemies too, So you've got two
shots at the apple.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
Right exactly those well, and it could be as simple
as we know this could happen today, don't do anything
to stop it.

Speaker 5 (20:08):
Nobody's lost their job, nobody is holding being held accountable,
and there's no transparency. That's why Congress has to keep
going to the site because they can't get it there
in Washington.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
Half howers five, twenty six. Now time to take a
look at your money. Courtney done ho good morning, Well, good.

Speaker 5 (20:24):
Morning, Jimmy.

Speaker 22 (20:25):
Lots of people seem to be on vacation in the
end of August. It is a quiet morning of trading
this Tuesday. Stock futures are little changed.

Speaker 14 (20:32):
Now.

Speaker 22 (20:32):
The event of the week is tomorrow when chip maker
in Video reports quarterly earnings. And by the way, the
stock has gained close to four thousand percent since the
start of twenty nineteen. You're lucky if you bought back then. Well,
yesterday Mix finished for Wall Street. The Dow rose sixty
five points to close it a record high. The S
and P five hundred fell slightly, dragged down by some
of the world's largest technology companies. Americans got a big

(20:55):
financial boost from low cost mortgages that were locked in
between twenty twenty and twenty twenty one.

Speaker 23 (21:00):
According to Swiss.

Speaker 22 (21:01):
Read these home loans gave consumers an extra six hundred
billion dollars in spending cash in the past two years.
More than half of mortgage holders have a rate less
than four percent, and Apple has sent out invitations for
a product launch event at its headquarters on September ninth.
That's when it's set to announce the details of the
iPhone sixteen and other new devices. The iPhone sixteen will

(21:21):
have larger screens on its pro models and new camera features.

two minutes. I got KEYO League City Golf Freeway.

Speaker 26 (22:19):
Dude, I like, seems like we have a left lane
closed northbound right the board of south Blue.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
Yeah, that's roadwork. They're trying to pick it up. It's take.

Speaker 4 (22:28):
I don't know what the deal is, but it's in
a bad spot too. So give these guys a break northbound.
You've got some breaks from Belfort. My work wife, Christina Kruz,

President Trump back to the White House where he can
once again serve us as our commander in chief.

Speaker 5 (23:20):
Yeah. Tulca Gabbard in being introduced as yet another former
Democrat who is joining the Unity government of Donald Trump.
She's a former Hawaiian representative. She endorsed him after the lead,
of course, of Robert F. Kennedy Junior, who hints now
on social media that more will follow. Members of a

(23:42):
House Task Force were at the side of the assassination
attempt on Trump in Pennsylvania. Republican Mike Kelly says that
both sides of the IQAN answers.

Speaker 28 (23:52):
There's not one person on this conference that's identifying just
as a Republican or a Democrat, where identify as members
of Congress on a task force with a task to
restore the faith and trust and confidence the American people
have to have.

Speaker 5 (24:06):
Another group of House members held a hearing yesterday on
what happened July thirteen in Butler. You're going to hear
that at six am. It's now five point thirty two.
Trump says he has no issues with unmuted microphones during
his September tenth debate with Kamala Harris supposed to be
on ABC.

Speaker 29 (24:24):
I think Trump needs to do the debate, and frankly,
I think he should agree to whatever stupid rules they want.
It's going to be hostle and rigged regardless, And I
think Kamala Harris would love to cancel the debate and
blame it on Trump.

Speaker 30 (24:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (24:36):
Texas Congressman Ted Cruz on Fox, reacting after Donald Trump
hinted that maybe he just wouldn't do that debate because
it's so loaded against him. On ABC, Harris's team allegedly
also wanted to make it a seated debate with notes,
and she wants the microphones open, So she wants.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
The microphones open so she can hopefully get to Trump
to yell at her for something exactly.

Speaker 25 (25:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (25:03):
Oh, he's looking the way he's talking to a woman exactly.
Mainstream media not just turning Kamala into Obama two point zero.
They're interfering in the election actively too.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
It was a coup.

Speaker 12 (25:16):
You had all these senior Democrats inspiring to get Biden
out of the race, and they succeeded. So that would
be affection interference.

Speaker 5 (25:27):
Political commentator Jeffrey Lord there, he told kg Rache mainstream
media trying to help Harris beat Trump. Meta CEO Mark
Zuckerberg though, kind of threw the FBI under the bus
and Biden too, admitting that the election interference of Facebook
in twenty twenty when it killed the Hunter Biden laptop story,

(25:48):
it was fully reported by the New York Post, remember,
but they shut it down. The FBI, in position of
the laptop, also buried it, and Zuckerber says, well, the
FBI told them to shut it down. Letter to the
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, Zuckerberg now says Facebook
should not have demoted the story. In the Middle East,

(26:08):
US Joint chiefs of Staff General Charles Q. Brown Junior
says the risk of a broader regional war after Israeli
strikes on Hesbela is now somewhat reduced. It's now five
thirty four female student and a man, their bodies found
in a dorm at Rice University. A parent murder suicide.

Speaker 31 (26:30):
As a parent of a past Rice for student, I
can only imagine how devastating this must be.

Speaker 5 (26:37):
That woman identified as Andrea Rodriguez Avila, a junior from Maryland.
The man, not a student, was not identified. Classes at
Rice today have been canceled in Austin. Some Texas lawmakers
say enough with the toll roads.

Speaker 32 (26:54):
Sure a TEXT is planning to acquire already built in
toll lanes on Highway Wait to eighty eight for one
point seven billion.

Speaker 33 (27:03):
That's great, But the problem is is taxpayer is having
to continue to pay those tolls.

Speaker 32 (27:08):
That is State Senator Mays Middleton, who says all of
the tolls are starting to take a toll on drivers.

Speaker 33 (27:16):
That's essentially become sort of a money laundering operation, where
like Harris County Tollard Authority is using tolls from ROSA
are already paid off to be spent elsewhere, and it's wrong.

Speaker 32 (27:26):
The Republican Party of Texas is calling on the legislature
to abolish existing toll roads Jeff Biggs News Radio seven

Speaker 11 (27:36):
Or h.

Speaker 5 (27:38):
It's no five point thirty five. There's a lot of
praise being given now to the Texas DPS for its
ban now on people changing their sex idea and their
driver's licenses. Apparently it has more of an impact than
many of us realized.

Speaker 34 (27:51):
If men are able to change their IDs to claim
that they're women, they could be in women's sports.

Speaker 5 (27:58):
Yeah, and Mary Elizabeth ca So with Texas Value says
the decision also blocks biological men from entering women's bathrooms
and locker rooms. Canada's government moves to indo nationwide rail
strike that threatened the American supply chain. Federal Labor Board
ordered all workers back on the job, imposed binding arbitration.
The union is complying, but also appealing. So we've got

(28:21):
a little bit of room to grow here. Switzerland going cashless,
moving towards instant digital payments controlled by the government, will
America be next.

Speaker 35 (28:31):
Their new rules let payments clear faster, which is just modernization,
but it raises eyebrows.

Speaker 23 (28:37):
Eurecrets like a cashless society because it lets them regulate
everything and control everything and eliminates the cash economy.

Speaker 35 (28:44):
Writer Elizabeth Ames says, bad actors moving money around hurts
the rest of us and adds more control. But we're
already pretty much there thanks to credit cards.

Speaker 23 (28:52):
The question is what does that mean for you and
for me? We will have more options, perhaps to different
ways to transact the.

More with Jimmy Barrett and Sheriff Fryer. This is Houston's
morning News.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
Tulci Gabbard is the latest Democrat to come over and
endorse officially endorse Donald Trump. Here she is on Fox
explaining why she's decided to endorse Trump.

Speaker 27 (29:58):
One thing that ran through my mind as I was
there joining President Trump and honoring the ultimate sacrifice that
these thirteen service members paid, sharing the sorrow that these
gold Star families still feel and will always feel at
the loss of their loved ones. Meanwhile, where is Kamala Harris?
Where is Joe Biden? Well, Joe Biden's on vacation. Kamala

(30:20):
Harris is running a campaign based on joy and vibes
and laughing her way around. I can tell you who
wasn't laughing were those families, some of the survivors of
that attack. In this disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal. This is personal
for me, Judge, and so many other Americans who know
firsthand the cost of war. We've seen and experienced it firsthand.

Speaker 14 (30:44):
We know how.

Speaker 27 (30:45):
Important it is to have a commander in chief who
values every single one of our lives and who has
the strength and the courage to exercise all means of diplomacy,
meeting with dictators, allies, adversaries, partners in the pursuit of peace,
recognizing that war is always and should always be a
last resort. I endorsed President Trump today because he has

(31:08):
those qualities, and he's proven that he is that commander
in chief. Kamala Harris has proven she is not. We're
closer to the brink of nuclear war now than ever before,
closer to World War three because of Harris and Biden
and their policies.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
Okay, pretty simple, Pretty simple, Just like it's amazing how
many moderate Democrats have managed to find common ground. You know,
they take a look at it, the choices with their
own party, and take a look at the Trump campaign,
and they find more in common with the Trump campaign
than they can find in common with their own party.
At this point, they don't even recognize their own party.

Speaker 5 (31:45):
No, I get it, because that has been the party,
the Unit Party.

Speaker 16 (31:52):
You know.

Speaker 5 (31:52):
I saw a graph the other day, horseshoe shaped. On
the top left is the left POP and on the
top right is the right Pop Budism signified by MAGA.
And down there in the buck of the horseshoe is
the Unit Party government that we have and have had.
Yeah where, oh well, we just trade sides back and forth,

(32:15):
but basically it's about keeping us in power in Washington, right.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
Well, I would like to think that the Unit Party
has figured out at this point that they're they're not
gonna be trading sides anymore. They're not, Oh, we're not
going to give you a chance to win anymore. We're
gonna win every election. Okay. Just so you know, maybe
if the Unit Party could figure that out, if the
Rhinos could figure that out, maybe they'd they, you know,
come over to the right side of the moon too.

(32:39):
So sitting over there in the dark five forty one,
time for traffic and weather together, Hay Sky, Mike, what's happening, Jimmy,
I got a sam here.

Speaker 4 (32:47):
Let's see, I've got a second accent. We had a
wreck at Crenshaw and then we had another one at
the toll plaza here. I've got a pattern here. Obviously
the roads slipped free here, and my little appeals radar
is probably right. Jeff Fino has a real radar standing
by south flop six to ten eastbound Almeta lookout. That's
a stall a right lane. Where are you, south side, Larry?

(33:08):
I need you this morning. But that's kind of in
a dark spot. They just finished some of the roadwork there,
not a big backup. Just be super duper careful coming
up from still a link. You've got golf freeway ian
from Bear Creek. We've had this these issues here go.

Speaker 11 (33:22):
Yeah, Mike, maybe I saw what you already said about
a picking up of a construction site, but just need
to by you on northbound.

Speaker 25 (33:31):
A bit of a cab.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
It's still that roadwork.

Speaker 4 (33:33):
I'm gonna keep watching that, but it's just it's the placement.

Speaker 2 (33:36):
That's why it's so bad. There.

Speaker 4 (33:37):
We're backed up from Belford inbound and we'll have another
update at five fIF you by the way, if you're
just getting up, it's a flare on the southeast side,
that's all that. It's a chemical plant. It's not putting

Knows in Terry this morning. Yep, the radar is kind
of active down around the coast right now.

Speaker 20 (34:03):
That is definitely the case. And kind of taking a
look at the advanced radar, it's gonna get pretty colorful here.
It looks like if this holds up in the next
hour or so, we're gonna see some reports of heavy
rain towards League City, maybe Pearl in and out towards
Laporte as well, and we're gonna continue to monitor some

(34:24):
of these, maybe heavier pockets of rain. Looks like the
majority again today as far as any storms will be
south of I ten. But it's scattered showers and thunderstorms
for us today in low nineties, heating next around one three,
and we'll call it partly sunny tonight, partly cloudie, low
in the upper seventies. Tomorrow mostly sunny, but as we
get into the latter part of the morning, we're gonna
look at showers and storms once again. Sixty percent chance

Kamala Harris is coming for your house. That's right, unrealized
capital gains. That's what she wants to do. Tax you
on something that you own but you haven't sold. It's

(35:21):
only worth that on paper right now. It's not really worth.
Your house isn't necessarily worth what they think it's worth.
Until it's sold. It's worth whatever somebody's willing to pay for.

Speaker 5 (35:30):
It exactly, but instead they on paper, the appraisal board
can tell you your house is worth two million dollars, Jimmy,
and therefore that's your income. Then therefore we are going
to tax you right now.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
There you go. Monica Sholwalder, Daddy Editor American Thinker, joins us. Next. First, though,
we've got traffic and weather together. We're checking out the

Speaker 2 (37:23):
I don't think that's that's the that's the beauty. I
guess for the left of not teaching history, Monica Showalder.
If you don't teach history, especially prior to World War One,
then people don't realize there used to be a time
in this country be where we didn't pay an income
tax exactly.

Speaker 36 (37:37):
It's just astonishing. Her latest plan on if she wants
a twenty five percent tax on unrealized gains, the highest
in the Western world to start, you know, they all
have taxes around twenty percent, but unrealized is never done.

Speaker 2 (37:53):
How can you tax something when you don't really know
what is worth is exactly? It's not worth anything until
you sell it exactly.

Speaker 36 (38:02):
And you know what. I used to be a billionaire's
reporter for Forbes magazine, and years ago one of my
colleagues had the roths child and he got the Wrothschilds
on the phone and he says, what's your furniture worth
and the furniture that he's a little Frenchman and he said,
my furniture is worth nothing. And he told the Forbes

(38:23):
reporter he said that, and the man, how could your
furniture be worth nothing? You're a wroths child. You got
fancy furniture, and he said, because we will never sell it.
And that was a great lesson to us on what
something was worth, and that that conversation really happened.

Speaker 5 (38:42):
They start out by making it palatable to the vast
majority of Americas because, well, it's not going to affect me,
It's only going to affect the multimillionaires people have over
one hundred million dollars in what assets apparently. But it
never works that way, does it That you don't hire
an eighty seven one thousand more IRS agents in order

(39:02):
to go after the nine hundred billionaires in America?

Speaker 36 (39:06):
Exactly? There's very few billionaires in the country, relatively speaking,
compared to what they're beefing up and amping them. The
other thing is this, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have
said things like, you know, our latest tax hikes scheme
won't affect anybody with income of below four hundred thousand dollars.
But that's not true. I've seen you know, tax reforms

(39:28):
institute studies and things like that with showing that the
tax rate actually hit people with making as little as
twenty thousand dollars a year. Everyone got tax hikes.

Speaker 2 (39:41):
Well, if they're talking about and they are talking about
significantly raising the corporate tax, we're all going to pay
for that. We'll be paying more in products, for products
and services. I mean, they're not going to the corporations
are not going to be paying that tax. We who
use that corporation are their goods and services will.

Speaker 36 (39:56):
And we'll be paying for it in jobs. Name a
poor person, you ever got a job from? The corporations
are where you can get some jobs from. They aren't
going to be hiring if they're going to be diverting
their money into paying taxes and for what, you know,
what government jobs. I don't understand what they need more
money for. They have more than they've ever had. Their

(40:18):
tax collections are very very high as it is, and
to hit the corporations even more. And we're talking four
or five six cycles where each time I'm dating from
President Obama where they said we're only going to hit
the rich. We'll to hit them rich, only this time,
only this time. How many times have they done that?
Our tax rates are going well above most countries that

(40:42):
are in very good shape. And you know they have,
you know, ten fifteen percent tax rates. They do not
have some of these astronomical rates that they're trying to
keep hitting up the corporations. For what happens is they'll
just move abroad. The prices of goods will go up,
and the jobs will not be true created.

Speaker 5 (41:01):
All right, So there'll be a massive sell off if
Harris gets elected. It'll be a massive sell off by
a lot of people trying to get their money out
while they can. And I guess the big Black Rocks
and the Vanguards and everybody will just swoop on in
and they'll end up owning all of America. Anyway.

Speaker 36 (41:17):
It is creepy, but it could be. I have seen
those series laid out, and you know, they buy the
Black Rocks and then they give the houses to the
undocumented immigrants and they replace the electorate. I mean, it's
just shocking. Well what seems to be unfolding, and they
never do anything to you know, make us think that's

(41:40):
not what they have in mind.

Speaker 2 (41:41):
I guess they think either way they win, right, either
way they win in that in that Scenereo Broonnica, thank

Speaker 5 (43:39):
It is now six oh two on news Radio seven

our top story. This our federal judge in Texas has
now temporarily paused a Biden administration plan to give amnesty
to illegal aliens married to US citizens. Sixteen states, led
by the Texas Attorney General Kim Pax, ensued over the

(43:59):
program that was an announced in June. It's a fourteen
day pause. As I said, the law currently requires a
green card process that illegals who marry Americans must fulfill
in order to become legal citizens. Harris County Democrat games too.
They're planning to use a third party vendor to mail
voter registration forms to homes that doesn't have registered voters.

(44:23):
At the very least, that is the job of the
elected voter registrar.

Speaker 7 (44:29):
The bottom line here is that Commissioner's Court has pushed
people to do illegal things in the past and had
to be stopped by a Supreme Court.

Speaker 5 (44:38):
State Senator Paul Bettencourt. There now precinctree Republican Tom Ramsey
will be joining us at seven point fifty. The state's
going to be monitoring Harris County elections in November because
an audit from twenty twenty two found multiple violations by
this Democrat run. County Governor Greg Abbott also announced it

(44:59):
more than a million ineligible voters have been removed from
the Texas voter rolls. State legislature put a cap on
property taxes, but in the fine print they left a
loophole that again Harris County Democrats planned to take advantage of.

Speaker 6 (45:14):
The county can raise your property taxes by eight percent
if a disaster was declared this year, which of course
it was.

Speaker 7 (45:20):
Unfortunately.

Speaker 8 (45:21):
You know, if there's a loophole that exists, Harris County
will be sure.

Speaker 2 (45:24):
To find and exploit it.

Speaker 6 (45:26):
Charles Blaine, with Urban reformsays County Dems are crying poor.

Speaker 8 (45:30):
They claim that they need the additional revenue this year
and that the previous years of not being able to

Speaker 6 (45:39):
And they'll be talking about the budget later this morning
at Commissioner's Court. Cliff Saunders News Radio seven forty kgrh.

Speaker 5 (45:46):
Our time now was six o four Kamala Harra is
not talking much about her economic plans, and for good reason,
because that proposed twenty five percent tax on unrealized capital
games for people over a net worth now the American
thinkers Monica Showalter says, that means taxing the increased value
of your assets each year, even if you haven't sold them,

(46:11):
you know, like your house or your savings.

Speaker 2 (46:14):
Wow, it's outrageous.

Speaker 10 (46:19):
Nobody in the world does this. Everybody who's tried it
has completely dropped it as an extremely bad idea. You
would only want to do that if you want to
direct the economy.

Speaker 5 (46:28):
So what do you do if you're wealthy? She says,
people are going to move their capital overseas, whether they
can or even try to fraudulently reduce the value of
their assets. Mainstream media crusade for Kamala, though, continues, with
many political analysts saying, what is this? We've never seen
anything like this.

Speaker 32 (46:50):
And sharrea As Republican strategist Matt Locke points out, how
did things change so quickly?

Speaker 11 (46:57):
Just three weeks ago the media told you she was awful.
Now she's the greatest thing on the planet. We see that,
and we go we see it plainly. Why don't they
see it? They don't see it because they don't want
to see it.

Speaker 32 (47:07):
But lock ads, there are things we have seen before.

Speaker 2 (47:11):
I'm a big history buff.

Speaker 11 (47:13):
We all ask ourselves, how did Hitler come to power?

Speaker 2 (47:16):
How did Mao come to power?

Speaker 11 (47:18):
And then you see it and you look at it
now and you're like, oh, this is how they came
to power.

Speaker 2 (49:16):
Attention spans are shrinking.

Speaker 18 (49:17):
Companies are going to continue to deliver bite sized information
that doesn't offer full context at a level that people
are going to need.

Speaker 5 (49:25):
Yeah, political analyst Matt mccoveac says, well, it does give
Chinas a lot of influence over these voters. The election
likely won't be decided by them. Heads up that Fort
Ben ISD. Parents, you need to pay attention because the
district has now given authority to Superintendent doctor Mark Smith
to remove books from school libraries on his own. Is

(49:48):

Speaker 2 (50:20):
Laard Trump, in talking about Michigan, said that there are
seven hundred trained Republican poll workers ready to help with
the elections in Detroit. So far, only fifty have been
accepted of the seven hundred.

Speaker 5 (50:38):
Compared to the Democrats who've been accepted.

Speaker 2 (50:40):
To watch, twenty three hundred Democrats have been accepted. Well,
that's fair, Yeah, that's real fair and that's just Detroit.
There are plenty of other Democrats strongholds in the state
of Michigan that probably are seeing very similar results. And
if this is going on in other battleground states like Pennsylvania,

(51:01):
then that can tell you how you know it. It
comes down to these few battleground states and how you
can come up with extra ballots and all sorts of
other things. Now, the speaking of extra ballots, we found
out we had one million ineligible voters on our rolls
here in Texas that are being removed. Four hundred eighty
six thousand of them were dead people. Imagine that, four

(51:22):
hundred eighty six thousand. I wonder if any of those
dead people have ever voted in the Texas election. Wild dead.

Speaker 5 (51:28):
Well, there's a long history of dead people voting in
Texas selection all the way back to LBJ.

Speaker 2 (51:34):
There you go, four hundred eighty six thousand of those
six ' ten. Time for traffic and weather together, we're
checking out the drive once again. Here's guy mine.

Speaker 4 (51:42):
I know it's forty five site southbound forty five Huntsville

me a cross street somebody up there, one one four,
But I can see right as you're about to go
to Big Sam. I can see that big scoots here.
Walker County Desk confirm it's there. But is there an
eighteen wheeler? You tell me so I can tell them

(52:03):
so they will know southbound it's all lanes blocked. And
Richard says, take thirty to nineteen. It looks like you'd
go thirty and then go eastbound and hit nineteen and
it'll go right back to forty five and get around that.
Looks like it'll be there a while too. Golf Freeway.
Disregard that wreck at Belfort not there, but and this

Time to check in with Jeff, you know, working for
Terry today. We got a little rain around the coast.
As that goes spread inland or is that going to
be a coastal thing, It's going to be.

Speaker 20 (52:59):
More towards the but it will be spreading a little
farther inland. It looks like within the next couple of
hours or so, from a line up towards Liberty and
then down through Parland and then moving again to the
south and to the west and then towards the coast,
it is really going to light up. It's going to
be hit or miss elsewhere, but we are going to

(53:19):
see pockets of rain and it looks like some heavy
rain at least on some of these future radar pictures.
So we'll see how this holds up, primarily below ey
ten as we move throughout the day, and we're going
to see the scattered showers and storms on this Tuesday,
getting up to the low nineties, partly sunny skies, heat
in dex around one to oh three today, Tonight partly cloudy,
overnight low in the upper seventies, and then tomorrow mostly sunny,

a huge fan of him, but Carl Rove warning the

reaction to Kamala Harris falling in love, truly, madly, deeply
in love with Kamala Harris. The low she had the
lost Bowl numbers is VP of any VP in history,
and now they're in love more than that story coming

(54:26):

Never sounded so good. Matt Locke joins US host and
Republican strategists. What is with the LoveFest over Kamala? I
would have thought that would have already started to faith.
Why don't know if it's a LoveFest?

Speaker 11 (56:44):
More of the fact that the Democrat Party has put
them in themselves into a place where they have no
other choice but to support Kamala and to push her
forward as something she really isn't you.

Speaker 5 (56:59):
Know it's aim to be desperate. Acts of a desperate
party are a terrible danger to all of us who
are just trying to live our normal lives and get
ahead in the world.

Speaker 11 (57:11):
Well again, look at where the Democrat Party is at.
They forced Joe Biden out of a race that he
won fourteen million votes, while going through a primary where
the Democrat Party wouldn't allow a Robert Kennedy junior. They
wouldn't allow anybody else to run against Joe. They didn't

(57:31):
want debates, they didn't want an open in free competition.
And then when they see that Donald Trump is surging
and the numbers were in his favor, oh, we're just
going to get rid of him. We're going to put
in the next best thing. And now we're stuck with this.
Of course, they have to feign you know, love and
aspiration enjoy if you watch the DNC, But in reality

(57:57):
they would get curd of the curb faster than him.

Speaker 2 (58:00):
You know what, though, the Rhinos are certainly not helping
with all this. You know, there are more than two
hundred Republicans who either worked for George W. Bush or
John McCain or Mitt Romney that are pledging their support
for Harris for president and because they just hate Trump
that much.

Speaker 11 (58:18):
Well, you mispronounced Republicans for one, Mitt Romney, the John
mccains of the world, the Bushes of the world are
really closet Democrats. They really like being in the power structure.
They really liked being at the cocktail parties. They liked
being part of the in crowd. Well, Maga is now

(58:38):
not the in crowd. So the Democrats are trying to
bring back the in crowd. The problem is Trump keeps
stealing their thunder at every turn. You talked about Telsea Gabbert,
you talked about Robert Kennedy Jr. What Trump is doing
is actually putting together unity that the Democrats have tried
to sell you for decades.

Speaker 5 (58:56):
The unity of the people.

Speaker 2 (58:57):
Though.

Speaker 5 (58:57):
I mean, right now we're at a roads it's government
versus the people.

Speaker 11 (59:04):
And that's exactly how it breaks down. It's really not
right versus left. It's the same versus the insane. And
we're watching as the government is trying to convince you
that you should go along with them controlling you, and
people are like, nah, I'm not going for that.

Speaker 2 (59:24):
There're gonna be a lot of cocktail parties once we
go over to socialism. Well, it depends on who's buying
the alcohol. Okay, I guess we're gonna be I guess
they're gonna be drinking vodka at these cocktail parties in
the future. If we end up with Kabla Harris, you
could be.

Speaker 11 (59:40):
Very correct in the statement people don't understand the road
that we're running down very quickly ends with them having
zero decisions, zero choice, and losing the freedoms in liberty
that the Founding Fathers and envisioned for this great country.
I was talking about this on my podcast the other day.
I think the Founding Fathers would smile on the fact

(01:00:00):
that Donald Trump is bringing in Democrats and people who
don't have the same views, because our government was based
on debate, not on going along with the government tells
you it is.

Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
It is we the people.

Speaker 5 (01:00:12):
Meantime, Kamala Harris is in Washington, and Joe Biden has
left his vacation and now he's gone on vacation again
in Delaware on the beach.

Speaker 11 (01:00:22):
Well, the presidential tallendar has had nothing on it for
the last nine days, which is really odd that we're
paying a man four hundred thousand dollars a year to
be the leader of the free world. And he's laying
on beaches in California and Delaware.

Speaker 2 (01:00:37):
All right, Medlock, good to hear from you, sir. Appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (01:01:51):
This is before you get to nineteen, and I believe
before you get to the statue. Main thing you need
to know is jump off on thirty and you can
get on Highway nineteen and it looks like you can
also get off at one nineteen.

Speaker 2 (01:02:02):
But it's a big deal on the southbound lines.

This fight is no longer between Democrats and Republicans. This
is a fight between communism and freedom.

Speaker 2 (01:02:55):
Expur serious fight.

Speaker 5 (01:02:56):
Donald Trump in Detroit. He's back in Michigan on Thursday too.
You're Lansing. That's three trips to the battleground state inside
of a week. Former Democrat presidential candidate and Hawaiian representative
Tulcy Gabbard formally endorsed Trump for president.

Speaker 27 (01:03:13):
But I know that President Trump understands the grave responsibility
that a president commander in chief bears for every single
one of our lives.

Speaker 5 (01:03:24):
She spoke after joining Trump at Arlington National Cemetery to
honor the thirteen soldiers who died in the Afghanistan pull
out the botched terrorist bombing and killing and maiming of
many soldiers that happened three years ago. Biden did not
bother to make a comet or attend, nor did Harris.

(01:03:46):
Members of a House task for so at the site
of the July thirteenth assassination at Trump on Trump in Pennsylvania.

Speaker 39 (01:03:57):
And it certainly is not acceptable that any who's a
candidate or seeking elected office should be vulnerable in this way,
and that the people who are gathered to hear them
in their opinions should be vulnerable in this way too.

Speaker 5 (01:04:08):
Pennsylvania Congresswoman Chrissy Hulahan another group of House members, by
the way, held a hearing yesterday on what happened in Butler.
We're gonna have more on that at seven AM. It
is now six thirty four. Harri's campaign trying to change
the agreed upon rules of the ABC debate. They now
want the mikes to be open for both sides during

(01:04:29):
the entire debate.

Speaker 29 (01:04:32):
Look, she's in a basement. They don't want her challenged. Ever,
if they have an excuse to get out of a debate,
they can literally do nothing for the next seventy one days.

Speaker 5 (01:04:41):
Yeah, they're trying to get Trump to cancel it, and
he is hinted he might Texas Senator Ted Cruz there
on Fox. The Harris team also is demanding that the
debate be seated and that they get to have notes.
Media continues to interfere with his election, though by running
cover for the Harris campaign.

Speaker 17 (01:05:02):
The Harris hype is the latest example of mainstream media
election interference.

Speaker 12 (01:05:06):
They will take somebody to whom no attention or little
attention has been paid, and all of a sudden, they
are the greatest things since slice spread.

Speaker 17 (01:05:14):
Political commentator Jeffrey Lord told KTRH, the good news is
this can only last so long before people start to notice.

Speaker 12 (01:05:21):
I don't have any doubt that the air will go
out of the Kamala Harris balloon. The question is what
happens when that happens.

Speaker 17 (01:05:27):
Lord says, Thankfully, the availability of honest media in all
forms is helping to combat the effects of mainstream media
interference either Buchanan News Radio seven forty KTRH, but.

Speaker 5 (01:05:38):
Is obviously not meta. CEO Mark Zuckerberg now admits yeah,
his company Google pressured by the FBI into interfering with
the twenty twenty election by burying the Hunter Biden laptop story.
He also says Facebook was pressured by the Biden Harris
regime and just censoring what they called quote COVID misinformation

(01:06:03):
oops in the Middle East, the US Joint chiefs of
Staff General Charles Q. Brown Junior says the risk of
broader regional war after the Israeli strikes on Hezebla is
now somewhat reduced, hmm. And we don't want to see
this war escalate.

Speaker 28 (01:06:21):
Everything we've been trying to do since the seventh of
October has been to prevent that outcome.

Speaker 17 (01:06:25):
The President and the whole national security team is committed
to that.

Speaker 5 (01:06:29):
Yeah, where's the president, that's White House National Security Communications
Advisor John Kirby. He says the US had indications that
Hesbela was serious about the threats they were making, so
they did a preemptive strike. Oh, six thirty six is
our time. Classes today canceled. At Rice University, a female
student and a man were found dead in a dorm

(01:06:51):
room yesterday, an apparent murder suicide. It was uncovered with
a wellness check.

Speaker 2 (01:06:58):
Well, she didn't go to her class that she had
skoeded for today.

Speaker 25 (01:07:01):
She did not attend.

Speaker 36 (01:07:02):
So that's how we decided to go ahead and make
entry into the room.

Speaker 5 (01:07:06):
Woman identified as Andrea Rodriguez ave La Junior from Maryland.
The man, not a student, was not identified. In Austin,
tex Dot coming under fire for plans to purchase an
existing toll road and continue charging tolls on it, State
Senator Mace Middleton is leading a challenge by a group
of state lawmakers.

Speaker 33 (01:07:28):
Tax fairs are going to have to pay one point
seven billion dollars for the section of two eighty eight,
then it should be detolled. This is double taxation, right,
I mean, the taxpayers are having to buy the road
and then they're having to continue to pay the tolls.

Speaker 5 (01:07:44):
It makes a lot of sense, makes a lot of
sense with the government, doesn't. Middleton part of a group
though that sent a letter to the tex DOT chairman
Jay bruce Bug Junior, calling for an end to the tolls.
If we own the road, we pay taxes.

Speaker 2 (01:07:58):
You always start by paying for roads with tolls, and
then we maintain the roads by paying tolls, and then
we will you.

Speaker 5 (01:08:05):
Pay taxes at the pump for maintaining roads the tools.

Speaker 2 (01:08:08):
The tolls never go away.

Speaker 5 (01:08:09):
DPS getting some praise though for the ban on people
changing their sexual identity on drivers' licenses without going through
the actual surgeries has more of an impact than many
people realize.

Speaker 34 (01:08:23):
If men are able to change their IDs to claim
that they're women, they could be in women's sports.

Speaker 5 (01:08:30):
Mary Elizabeth Castle, talking about sports, she's with Texas Values,
but says the decision also protects women in bathrooms and
locker rooms from biological men. Up North, Canada's government has
moved to end the rail strike that threatened our American
supply chain. Federal Labor Board there ordered all their workers
back to the job and imposed binding arbitration. The union

Speaker 2 (01:09:23):
Sunday, Senator Tom Cotton was on ABC's This Week with
Jonathan Carl who sounded more like the campaign manager for
Kamala Harris than he sounded like a reporter even for ABC.
So there's a little bit of that exchange in President
Trump reacting to it. She means taking away health insurance?
What are you talking about?

Speaker 40 (01:09:41):
She said when she ran for president that she wants
to eliminate private health insurance. On the job, Well huddles
seventy million Americans.

Speaker 2 (01:09:46):
John, I mean, I mean that is not her position.

Speaker 40 (01:09:48):
Now she knows, how do you know this, MACTRA mediction,
how do you know this?

Speaker 2 (01:09:51):
Not her psent? I mean she says she knows.

Speaker 40 (01:09:53):
She's not said all. She has not said that. Maybe
anonymous aids on a Friday Night have said that she's
been part to the failures of the Biden Harris administration
for four years. And when she campaigned for president in
her own right, she did, in fact promise sayings like
decriminalizing illegal immigration would have taken.

Speaker 2 (01:10:10):
Away because that's this position she's clearly changed on. And
so she said she has changed. Yes, yes, yes, yes, no, no,
she has not said that.

Speaker 37 (01:10:18):
When I watched this interview of Tom Cott, unfortunately, he's
a total pro he knows what he's doing. And then
when I watched the roundtable. After that, I said, the
hostility is crazy. So we're thinking about it. We're thinking
about it. They also want to change the rules. You know,
the deal was we keep the same rules.

Speaker 25 (01:10:34):
Now what said?

Speaker 37 (01:10:35):
They want to make the change of the rules because
she can't answer questions? Why doesn't she do a couple
of question angel? Why does she do something like I'm
doing right now? She can't talk. We can't have another
dummy as the president. We cannot have a dummy.

Speaker 14 (01:10:50):
And the people from Vietnam agree with.

Speaker 2 (01:10:52):
That, speaking to a group of Vietnamese business people in Washington,
d C. Before he ended up off to Michigan. Yeah,
I don't. I don't see the upside of doing a
debate on ABC. I really don't. Yeah, the rules changed.
That Kamala Harris wants is to leave the mics up
instead of mute them like they were before. I don't

(01:11:14):
think Trumperly cares, But I think it's pretty clear to
me that that Kamala Harris wants to try to go
to him into getting angry and to try to get
him to say something very derogatory towards her, hoping that
he does that and that people will be and then.

Speaker 5 (01:11:27):
They'll be Trump the mean old bad guy looking women,
women doing women.

Speaker 2 (01:11:34):
Yeah, that type of thing. Yeah, that's that's what they're
hoping for.

Speaker 5 (01:11:36):
Well, he agreed to a debate on ABC with Biden,
and then when Harris booted Biden, he just offered her, well,
let's do a whole series of debates. She turned down
every one of them except ABC. So what kind of
setup is that?

Speaker 2 (01:11:52):
Yeah, she also wants to sit down with notes.

Speaker 5 (01:11:55):
We at least somebody's calling it to light, you know. Yeah,
if the American people look at this can't make a
decision all, I just don't get it.

Speaker 2 (01:12:02):
Six forty one. Time for traffick and weather together. Here's
Skymike advisors looked out Katie Freeway. I've got a lot

Speaker 4 (01:12:12):
West Park, Tollway, South Park or Cyprus not bad. You've
got some breaks right there. Clear the west Loop down
from uptown Baylor. The reck's gone, stay of the course.
But if you're going down to uptown, you've got breaks
now after two to ninety that's on the southbound Hartman Bridge.
Two lanes on the southbound you're just not supposed to
get across the ship channel today. Backed up from Baytown
twenty minutes, Young Albert from Kingwood.

So all right, that's coming over from the Sanjacento River Bridge.

Speaker 2 (01:12:54):
Jeffinos standing by little rain in the forecast, but looks
looks like maybe Thursday will be the best chance for
us all to see some rain, I think.

Speaker 20 (01:13:02):
So it looks like we're gonna progress through the week
and tomorrow those late morning showers and storms. But looks
like a better percentage as far as rainfall goes for
Thursday and Friday, about an eighty percent chance both days.
We're gonna light things up just a bit as we
get into the next hour or so and start to

(01:13:23):
see some of these showers and storms not only progress
on shore, but also maybe bring in some heavy rain.
It's gonna be pretty much hit or missed throughout the day,
scattered variety showers and storms, partly sunny otherwise, and again
primarily below I ten as far as the greater activity
is concerned. Again, low nineties today, heat index one to

(01:13:43):
oh three. Tonight partly cloudie with a low in the
upper seventies. Tomorrow mostly sunny, late morning showers and storms,
sixty percent chants and low nineties for the high. The
heat index tomorrow around one oh five. And then look
for that rain for both Thursday and Friday. And we
could hear some thunder right now. Seventy six at your

says that Doug em Off, that's the husband of Kamala Harris.

Speaker 5 (01:14:18):
Currently he's referred to as the second husband.

Speaker 2 (01:14:20):
The second husband who would like to be the first husband,
is quote unquote a modern day sex symbol. More you
seeing the guy. More on that coming up next.

Speaker 5 (01:14:31):
First look, boy, the standards have changed.

Speaker 2 (01:14:34):

have more pavement repair that early. Jason from Alvin gave
me a stall. But I think that's a wreck northbound

southbound wreck. We are backed up from Baytown hats.

Speaker 26 (01:15:00):
Hey, skuy Mike Dave on the hard working east side
who just got off the loop.

Speaker 20 (01:15:04):
Sixthen on the Texas two twenty five eastbound outbound, and
there's a stalled eighteen wheeler on the ramp and it
looks like there's another kind of kerpuffle.

Speaker 11 (01:15:13):
Going on all right.

Look out from the bridge.

Speaker 4 (01:15:15):
Also Graham Parkway north westbound the ramp to the Hardy

There's an accident at the end of it that's messing

Speaker 2 (01:16:44):
If Doug molf is a modern day sex symbol, how
far have we fallen? Tim Wall's also being held up
in the same light. CNN gushing all over those two
at the Democrat National Convention, with some reaction at the
other end from Tammy Bruce on Bond.

Speaker 42 (01:17:00):
They are doing so in trying to put forward male figures,
Tim Walls being one of them, Doug m Hoff last night,
Who can speak to men out there who might not
be the sort of testosterone Leyden you know, gun toting

(01:17:21):
kind of guy who wants to listen to Paul Cogan
and the kind of players that came out at the RNC,
or might want to listen to that. But also, in addition,
understand that it's okay in twenty twenty four to be
a man comfortable in his own skin who supports a woman.

Speaker 41 (01:17:41):
Yeah, you know, stereotypes, right, the stereotypes, but also the underestimation.
Who do they think they're appealing to. Do they think
it's their own base? Who Dyke is still struggling with
what a man is? Or are they assuming that conservatives
need to hear this somehow. It's an astounding dynamic, and
I would say we must reject this is an effort
to make everything personal, deeply personal, all about moving the

(01:18:04):
gender argument that it's gender issues. Let me tell you
something that matters to both men and women, regardless of
how you present yourself World War III, joining up for
the military, if your son or daughter or husband and
wife is going to come home in the next year
because of a limited nuclear exchange, whether or not you
do have gas in your car to get to work
affects men and women.

Speaker 5 (01:18:26):
And let me say, when it comes to masculinity, I'm.

Speaker 41 (01:18:28):
Sure their wives think that they're the sexiest guy in
the world.

Speaker 2 (01:18:31):
I hope they do.

Speaker 41 (01:18:32):
But you know from em Hoff and his marriage previously,
the nature of cheating on one's wife, that's not a
masculine trade. That's a cheater's trait.

Speaker 14 (01:18:41):
And I think that we.

Speaker 41 (01:18:42):
Have to look at Donald Trump obviously as a grandpa,
and he doesn't like war right he deals with mass
violence with the targeting people. I think that's a big difference.
That the American people.

Speaker 2 (01:18:52):
Care about stuff all the time. Would be a guy. Well,
too late for me to change I'll stick the way
I am. Thank you very much. Time with the timeline.
What have I got today? All right? Let me find

It is seven am now here in Houston's Morning News,
I'm Jimmy Barret along with Sheriff Ryer. Among our top

Speaker 4 (01:21:03):
That's how we know we're gonna have a bad morning
when I'm two years off from timeline. All right, Dove,
Young Albert from Kingo would give me this problem here
Grand Parkway westbound. The reason you're all sponged up coming
over from the River Bridge is there's a wreck on
the Hardy Toll Road southbound, but it's right at the
end of the ramp. So this is a two headed monster,
really three. It's messing up the Hardy, it's messing up

(01:21:23):
the westbound lanes from New Canny. It's messing up the
eastbound lanes from Tomball Parkway. Let's jump on with the
commoners and just ride forty five in instead hertmeinbridge two

Speaker 2 (01:21:33):
We're packed from Baytown Huntsville. It's ugly.

Speaker 4 (01:21:36):

It's time out for the news. Here's Sheriff Fryer.

Speaker 5 (01:22:13):
Good morning. Everyone is seven oh two on news Radio
seven towardy KTRH and our top story this hour. A
federal judge in Texas halts temporarily anyway a Biden administration
new rule that will grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens.

Speaker 12 (01:22:28):
Judge J.

Speaker 6 (01:22:29):
Campbell Barker, appointed by Donald Trump, stops for now a
Biked administration policy that would give illegal aliens married to
US citizens amnesty. This came after Texas and fifteen other
states sued over the program that was announced back in June.
On social media, Ken Paxton said that this plan would
have rewarded over a million illegal aliens, adding that this
was quote just the first step. We are going to

(01:22:51):
keep fighting for Texas, our country, and the rule of law.
Cliff Saunders News Radio seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 5 (01:22:58):
Harris County Democrats on the steal. They planned to hire
a vendor to mail voter registration forms to address as
the don't show as already registered, actually usurping the actual
authority from the elected voter registrar.

Speaker 7 (01:23:13):
They had set up an election ministrative office that was
clearly to be corrupt. Had to be shut down by
the legislature, so any time they meddle in elections, it's
not positive and that's why we have independent elected officials
that can say no, yeah, and.

Speaker 5 (01:23:26):
Be voted out if they performed corrupt practices. State Senator
Paul Bettencourt Precinct three Republican Tom Ramsay will be joining
us in this hour at seven point fifty to talk
more about this. Texas Secretary of State will be monitoring
Harris County elections in November, and audit from twenty twenty
two found there were multiple violations of state law by

(01:23:47):
Harris County leaders. This comes as Governor Greg Abbott announced
the removal of more than a million ineligible voters from
the rolls across the state. And while state lawmakers kepped
proper taxes are tried to, Harris County found a loophole
in that law. They can decide to raise our county
taxes by eight percent because of the disaster declaration in

(01:24:11):
the county this year.

Speaker 8 (01:24:14):
This week they'll be talking about the budget and so
there's still time to hear about it. But you know,
I hope others do speak out because it's ridiculous and
I think this is something that the legislature needs to
look at next Qession Urban reforms.

Speaker 5 (01:24:26):
Charles blame there, it's now seven oh four, Hamala Harris
is coming for our money, even money you haven't made yet.

Speaker 9 (01:24:35):
Vice President Kamala Harris has endorsed a budget plan that
includes a twenty five percent tax on unrealized capital gains
for high net worth individuals. That means you would be
taxed on the increased value of your home or assets,
even if you haven't cashed them out. The American thinkers
Monica Showalter says this would be disastrous.

Speaker 10 (01:24:52):
It's a total recipe for capital flight, offshore accounts, assets hidden,
you know, black market type things. There's no better way.
Just drive capital out because nobody's going to want their
value of their property for their assets ever to go up.

Speaker 9 (01:25:05):
She adds that it's also likely illegal since it would
tax money that hasn't even been received. Cory Jolson Hew's
Radio seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 5 (01:25:15):
Kamala Harris somehow went from being the most unpopular vice
president ever to the next Obama. How did that happen?

Speaker 11 (01:25:25):
The Democrat Party has become the deep state. The Kamal
is a perfect little puppet.

Speaker 2 (01:25:30):
The problem is she's useless, and so now the media really.

Speaker 11 (01:25:34):
Does have to falln The media has to make it
look like it's closer than it is.

Speaker 5 (01:25:40):
Yeah. Republican strategist Matt Locke says, the goal of the
Democrats is simple, just keep Donald Trump out of the
White House by any means necessary. It is now seven
oh six. Trump, by the way, campaigning and battleground Michigan yesterday,
and he will again on Thursday yesterday at the National
Guard Association conference.

Speaker 13 (01:26:00):
Do we will restore world peace and it will be
again peace through strength.

Speaker 25 (01:26:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:26:08):
And Trump marked the third anniversary of the disastrous withdrawal
from Afghanistan and the deaths and maiming of American troops
by laying a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery. It wasn't
covered by ABC, CBS or NBC. They ignored it this anniversary,
third anniversary on their shows, and Biden and Harris neither.

(01:26:33):
They didn't attend, They didn't mention. Bipartisan House Task Force
investigating the July thirteenth this attempted assassination visited the side
of that shooting in Pennsylvania. Yesterday, another group of Republicans
holding their own investigation a hearing on Capitol Hill led
by Texas Congressman Chip Roy.

Speaker 38 (01:26:51):
The very same Secret Service there was immediately pointing their
fingers at local law enforcement. They now have five of
their guys that are on leave.

Speaker 5 (01:27:00):
That task force will report its findings by December thirteenth.
Seven oh seven is our time. There was a parent
murder suicide on the campus of Rice University in a
dorm a student woman identified as Andrea Rodriguez Avela of Maryland,
a junior. The man was her boyfriend, not identified publicly

(01:27:20):
as of yet, and classes at Rice have been canceled today.

school libraries, a change from the policy that would have
left it all up to a committee. Seven oh eight

Speaker 2 (01:29:06):
Come on, honey, we're gonna go buy some nails.

We're gonna splurgs this weekend. Let's go grab a gallon

Low's has backed off on their DEI, their diversity, equity
and inclusion commitments, after receiving word they would be the
next target of a conservative activist campaign against companies a
champion DEI. The concession includes no longer participating in surveys

(01:29:43):
for LGBTQ advocacy group the Human Rights Campaign. Low's will
also combine its employee resources groups for diverse employees into
one organization. Well, there you go. All employees are in
one organization. Why did you need to separate them to
begin with? Well, if you so easily are giving up
your DEI programs almost quickly she took them up. That

(01:30:06):
tells me that you didn't really do it to begin with,
to really because of some deep seated belief within your
corporation or your company. You did it because somebody else
pressured you to do it. Pressure, and now somebody's pushing
you to not do it. You're just blown with a wind.
And evidently this wind, the anti DEI wind, is a

(01:30:27):
little stronger right now than the pro DEI wind seven eleven.
Time for traffic and weather together, Yes, got my money talks,

Speaker 20 (01:32:04):
That is gonna be the kind of the operating them

hopefully any of the harder rain that really starts to
come into some of the areas just south of I ten,
we'll be holding off until we're kind of done with

rush hours, so that would be a good thing. We're

Mm hmmm, says editor. May's Middleton joins US Senator tell
me about this section of two eighty eight what's the
deal on this? Hey, I appreciate you'll have me on today.

Speaker 33 (01:35:34):
So you know that the only thing worse than taxation
is double taxation. And you know tex dot is spending
about one point seven billion dollars to buy a section
of the two eighty eight toll road, and you know,
that's actually less than it would cost to build them
build that road. And that's a good deal. But unfortunately

(01:35:54):
they have no plans to take the tolls off of it,
which that's where the double taxation and double pay issue
for taxpayers comes in. So you know, that's a lot
of money, one point seven billion dollars, and uh, there's
no concrete plan that they've got to take the tolls
off that road. So I sent a letter to the

(01:36:14):
chairman of the Texas Department of Transportation asking and really
demanding that they do that and taxpayers not be forced
to pay for the same road two times.

Speaker 5 (01:36:25):
How can you cancel it? I mean, you're demanding it,
But what do they say?

Speaker 33 (01:36:29):
No, So so far they haven't taken any action on it.
But look, we need to look at toll road reform
legislation next session. I mean, this is something that's been
important to me for a long time because people are
struggling to pay the tolls, Like on this particular section
they have a like a flex toll. Sometimes it's three dollars,
sometimes it's thirteen. But then you look at what happens

(01:36:50):
if you don't pay it. I mean, everybody has gotten
that penalty in the mail right where there's a fine
that's more than the toll itself, and that's putting a
lot of hard working fans, families underwater. You know, there
was the article in the paper the other day that
up to two hundred and twenty six thousand car registrations
were blocked in North Texas for late payment or non

(01:37:12):
payment of tolls, and they can actually impound your car
and there's actually a criminal penalty they can levy on you.
So I mean, this is a basic, not just quality
of life issue, but pro taxpayer issue. You know, we
got to make sure that people can afford to drive
to work and have their vehicle and access to it,
because you could lose all of those things if you

(01:37:34):
don't pay your tolls, and if you miss a payment
or your credit card register, your credit card expires, you know,
or something happens with your automatic billing. I mean, these
are innocent mistakes that could lead to your loss of
your ability to drive to work.

Speaker 2 (01:37:50):
You know, I guess, I guess it's something we can't have.
I guess, Senator. The excuse for building toll roads always was, well,
we can. Otherwise we wouldn't be able to afford to
build the road. So this way we can. We can
because we have all these folks moving here, and we
have traffic congestion, and this will alleviate congestion. And that
was always the reason for doing it. If under normal circumstances,
based on gasoline taxes, which are supposed to pay for roads,

(01:38:12):
Ken Texas afford to keep up with the infrastructure without
charging on toll roads.

Speaker 33 (01:38:18):
Yeah, so on twenty seventeen, tech Stop made a decision
to not build new toll roads. So we're already on
that path right now. And look, I mean, you're paying
gas tax. You're already paying for this. When you buy
a new vehicle, you're paying sales tax on the new car.
Also the severance tax, which is the oil and gas
tax that funds a significant portion of our roads. And

(01:38:40):
these are all things paid for by the tax payer.
So unfortunately, when you have to pay a toll After
all of that, it's a double taxation issue, and that's
why this is such a problem, especially when they're spending
one point seven billion dollars on this section at twenty eight.

Speaker 5 (01:38:55):
Yeah exactly. I've used that section of the toll road
and it really makes a difference. And if you open
that up so everyone can use it, it would certainly
help the build up of traffic.

Speaker 2 (01:39:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 33 (01:39:07):
I when you think about this too, where we've seen
it with the Harris County Toll Road Authority, they're diverting
toll road money to other purposes, right, so they've spent
them on hike and bike trails, right, They're taking money
out of the Harris County Toll Road Authority. And these
are roads that are already paid off. Like, the whole
point of the tolls was to build the roads. What
happens when the road is paid off, Well, they're keeping

(01:39:28):
the tolls on it. I mean that is a huge
problem because the whole purpose of it was to get
the road built to begin with, and now that purpose
is being abused and hardworking Texans are being double taped.

Speaker 5 (01:39:39):
Well, thank you for the fight.

Speaker 2 (01:39:40):
Yep, sure do appreciate Senator, thanks for joining US. This morning,
state Senator May's Middleton at seven twenty seven. Time to

Congress on a task force with a task to restore
the faith and trust and confidence the American people have
to have.

Speaker 5 (01:43:28):
Yeah, need to have it. Hope we'll get it. It's
now seven thirty four. Trump says he has no issues
with unmuting the microphones, that is leaving them open. During
his September tenth debate with Kamala Harris on ABC, he
did hint that maybe he shouldn't even take part in
it because Harris keeps trying to change the rules.

Speaker 29 (01:43:50):
I think Trump needs to do the debate and frankly
I think he should agree to whatever stupid.

Speaker 2 (01:43:54):
Rules they want.

Speaker 29 (01:43:55):
It's going to be hostile and rigged regardless, And I
think Kamala Harris would love to cancel the debate and
blame it on Trump.

Speaker 5 (01:44:02):
Yeah. Texas Congressman Ted Cruz on Fox Now, the Harris
team is also demanding a seated debate and allowing notes
for the candidates, you know, not having to talk off
the top of your head.

Speaker 2 (01:44:15):
Oh.

Speaker 5 (01:44:16):
Mainstream media not just turning Commlin now into Obama point
two to Zho. They are also interfering in this election.

Speaker 2 (01:44:25):
It was a cup.

Speaker 12 (01:44:26):
You had all these senior Democrats inspiring to get Biden
out of the race, and they succeeded. So that would
be affection interference.

Speaker 5 (01:44:36):
Yeah, political commentator Jeffrey Lord there, he told ktr H.
Mainstream media is just doing it whatever it can to
make Harris beat Trump. The Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg's turned,
he's flipped. He's admitting that there was election interference by
Facebook in twenty twenty when it killed the Hunter Biden

Chairman Jim Jordan Zuckerberg now says Facebook should not have
demoted that story and still call itself a news organization.
In the Middle East, the US Joint chiefs of Staff
General Charles Q. Brown Junior says, well, the risk of

(01:45:21):
a broader regional war after those Israeli strikes on Hesbola
is somewhat reduced, still holding out there could be war. However,
it is seven thirty six. We had a female student
and a man found dead in a dorm room at
Rice University yesterday. They call it a murder suicide.

Speaker 31 (01:45:43):
As a parent of a past Rice student, I can
only imagine how devastating this must be.

Speaker 5 (01:45:49):
The president of Rice there the woman identified as Andrea
Rodriguez Avid La Junior from Maryland. The man, not a student,
was not identified. Classes at Rice University are canceled today
in Austin, some Texas lawmakers are saying enough with the
toll roads.

Speaker 32 (01:46:08):
Sure a tech dot is planning to acquire already built
in toll lanes on Highway two eighty eight for one
point seven billion.

Speaker 33 (01:46:16):
That's great, But the problem is is taxpayer is having
to continue to pay those tolls.

Speaker 32 (01:46:21):
That is State Senator Mays Middleton, who says all of
the tolls are starting to take a toll on drivers.

Speaker 33 (01:46:29):
It's essentially become sort of a money laundering operation, where
like Harris County Tollard Authority is using tolls from rosad
are already paid off to be spent elsewhere, and it's wrong.

Speaker 32 (01:46:39):
The Republican Party of Texas is calling on the legislature

Houston's Morning News continues with Jimmy Barrett and Sheriff Fryer.

Speaker 2 (01:47:41):
How much gaslane do you keep in your tank at
any given time? Are you one of those people who
minimally has a quarter tank or maybe a half a
tank of gas?

Speaker 5 (01:47:51):
Because I try to keep it at a half okay.

Speaker 2 (01:47:52):
Because you're always afraid that you might get stuck somewhere.

Speaker 5 (01:47:55):
We don't want to run out, or I may not
have time to go get gas before I get pulled
into work for an emergency or something. I need to
make sure it's always ready to go if I have
to bolt and run.

Speaker 2 (01:48:05):
Or you one of those people who likes to see
just how far you can go before you run out.

Speaker 5 (01:48:09):
Oh no, I've done that. Oh man, that's scary.

Speaker 2 (01:48:12):
It's funny. My father in law was like you. He
always kept at least a half a tank of gas
in the tank. He was always fearful. I don't know
if he had a fear of running out of gas
or what it was, but he always kept at least
a half a tank. Turns out that there's more fear
is not the only thing you should consider when you're
keeping gasoline in your gas tank. I saw this story.
I found this very interesting because I had never taken

(01:48:34):
this into consideration, that you should always keep at least
a quarter of a tank of gasoline because inside of
your gas tank is a fuel pump, and the gasoline
helps keep the fuel pump cool. If you routinely run
it down below that quarter tank, the heat the pump

(01:48:54):
can overheat, and it can cut down on the lifespan
of that the fuel pumping. Fuel pump is not a
cheap thing to replace.

Speaker 5 (01:49:02):
I was to say, it gets expensive one way or another, exactly.

Speaker 11 (01:49:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:49:05):
I had always heard that too, So it's just better.

Speaker 2 (01:49:08):
The other reason is condensation.

Speaker 5 (01:49:10):
Condensation and high heat already temperature wise, and high humidity
in Houston, that's.

Speaker 2 (01:49:17):
It, yep. And up in the north you have a
dual problem. You have the combination of condensation and cold
weather means that you can literally freeze your gas tank,
you know, and find yourself in a situation where your
fuel line's frozen and you're not going anywhere all right,
good idea, Can you at least a quarter tank in
that vehicle of yours? Seven forty time for traffic and
weather together here's sky my Son spill I forty five.

Speaker 4 (01:49:40):
They've reopened all your lanes now they've cleared that wreck
before Highway thirty, so we're good to go.

Speaker 2 (01:49:44):
You hit a bit of a smush at Conra around
one oh five.

Speaker 4 (01:49:47):
We're just getting that. Conra is getting busy. Everybody's moving there.
Let's go to the Katie Freeway. Have got kind of
a smudge around Graham Parkway that's on the inbound. We've
done a fantastic job of not running into each other
and that we're looking at an extra eight minutes in
some breaks around Barker Cypress inbound Golf Freeway northbound south Lip.
More problems here that accent's reported. Let's see what those

(01:50:09):
backups are about at the fifty break at see if
I can get you some lane. As I see the
backups from airport clear the hard member it is, you're
good to go. To do that instead of the toll
bridge stillbridge suckings twelve extra minutes this way two eighty eight.

Speaker 2 (01:50:21):
I've got Larry from Pearland on scene.

Speaker 26 (01:50:24):
Guy Mike. Just south of beeltwait eight, we got a
wreck back in it all the way up to about.

Speaker 4 (01:50:29):
Magno northbound Yeah, you know, Jason from Alvin said that
other stations listeners ran into a stall there.

Speaker 2 (01:50:36):
So look at these big backups northbound.

Speaker 4 (01:50:38):
Hey, if you get a loan from Nolan Ryan, you
can afford those toll lanes. I'm Skymike and the classic

Center from r ktr H Generator super Center twenty four
our Weather center. Time to check in with Jeff Eno
and check out our rain chances for today. What do
you think about a fifty to fifty shot?

Speaker 20 (01:50:53):
About a fifty to fifty we'll call it scattered today,
And that's kind of what I'm seeing on the advanced radar.
And again it's pretty much whole true that once we
get towards the end of rush hour and then in
the late morning into the early afternoon, those storms are
going to be pretty much concentrated south of ten and
some pockets of heavy rain will be seen and we're

(01:51:14):
just going to have to deal with that wet weather
as we go through the day. But we're going to
be dealing with it for the next couple of days
as well. Today, low nineties, heat IndX around one to three.
Just a sticky day today, and we're partly sunny tonight,
We're partly cloudy overnight low in the upper seventies. A
little more sunshine for Wednesday, but later part of the
morning those showers and storms fire up once again, about
a sixty percent chance, a high in the low nineties,

(01:51:36):
and then showers for Thursday and Friday, and it looks
like it kind of sticks around into the weekend. We

This sounds like a familiar playbook to me. Today, the
Harris County Mission's Court expected to vote an item four
hundred where the Office of County Administration will attempt to
take responsibility of voter registration away from the elected voter
registrar to quote unquote increase voter registration. In other words,
another third party vendor who would be responsible for mailing

(01:53:59):
out ballots to get people registered.

Speaker 5 (01:54:01):
To vote, paid by the Democrats tax dollars.

Speaker 2 (01:54:06):
Huh, and likely we'd end up with some non citizens
that would be registered, which course is illegal. Pre sing
three Commissioner Tom Ramsey joins us, Boy, they never stopped,
do they, Commissioner.

Speaker 30 (01:54:18):
It is relentless in terms of what is pursued in
the In the conversation of well, we just want to
help people get the word out, registered people to vote.
It's it's it's really the time of this as much
as anything. While just weeks before the election, are we
trying to do a voter outreach program. It's interesting that

(01:54:42):
just a few weeks back, the tax assessor collector, who's
responsible for voter registration, she asked for increased funding and
she didn't get it. Now we suddenly have found two
hundred thousand dollars to help for due voter outreach.

Speaker 2 (01:55:02):
Is that coming from outside sources?

Speaker 5 (01:55:04):
Is that coming from outside sources or is that within
the budget?

Speaker 30 (01:55:08):
Oh, it's not that they find money laying in all
different kinds of pots around there. It's amazing when they
want to do something, how they go find money to
do it. So they this will be on the agenda v.
The hope is that when this comes up, this is
the responsibility of the tax assessor collector, and there is

(01:55:30):
not enough time for the county administrator, an unelected bureaucrat
to do this. So they're going to have to ask
the tax assessor collector to do this program. And I
hope that Anne Harris Bennett's office, her chief deputy is
Wendy Caesar. I believe that when they look at this,

(01:55:50):
they're going to say, you know, when the Lieutenant governor
of the state of Texas says, this is a really
bad thing. When the Secretary of State is going to
be looking over your shoulder, maybe we shouldn't do it.
I hope she said, simply just say no to this
really bad idea.

Speaker 2 (01:56:10):
Is it in any way illegals there as you can tell?
And if so, is there a potential lawsuit of work here?

Speaker 24 (01:56:17):
Well?

Speaker 30 (01:56:17):
I think here, I think all of that's in play
because how were the addresses selected. They say it's going
to houses where there is no one registered to vote. Well,
there's a really really good possibility if you send letters
to houses where there's not registered voters. That means there
could be people that are not here legally, it could

(01:56:40):
be undocumented. Very high percentage of this will go there,
and that's not legal. You can't tempt people who can't
legally vote.

Speaker 24 (01:56:50):
To go vote.

Speaker 30 (01:56:51):
So the Secretary of stay I think we'll be watching, obviously,
Lieutenant Governor will be watching. I hope that they will
have good judgment today.

Speaker 4 (01:57:01):
And the and.

Speaker 30 (01:57:02):
The second and the tax assessor collector simply said no,
we're not going to do it, and that would be
the end of that, at least this attempt.

Speaker 5 (01:57:11):
Well, calling attention to it is a great start. The
boy is kind of a late hour to be calling
attention to it. How much play is has gotten across
the broader community.

Speaker 30 (01:57:21):
In terms of sending these letters.

Speaker 5 (01:57:22):
Out of knowing knowing they're trying to pull this.

Speaker 30 (01:57:26):
Well, I contacted everybody I knew, and certainly I've had
lots of contacts. I appreciate the Lieutenant Governor, issuing his
press release yesterday has drawn attention to it. I promise
you the tax Assessor collector has made note of that
as well. So I'm going to go into this with

(01:57:48):
I don't think she wants the Secretary of State looking
over her shoulder and her last four months in office.

Speaker 2 (01:57:55):
Yeah, I really don't, or the poor Harris Guny in
general having the state looking over its shoulder. All right, Commissioner,
thank you always for making time, Thanks for letting us
know and keep us in forward. Please, that's Precinct three.
