This is huge Radio seven kt RH Houston Ive everywhere
with now the latest news, weather and trapping.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
It's more of what matters to you. From the John
Morris Services Studios.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
It is Friday morning. It's five am. Here on Houston's
Morning News. I'm Jimmy Barrett along with Sheriff Ryar mungertop stories.
As we get started this morning, Democrats admit the harvesting
overseas ballots the Woodlands, adds drones to the police force,
and coming up at five oh eight, it's the world's
largest chicoutere board. Details in the minutes ahead. You're in
Houston's Morning News. First cha say that chicoutary. Yeah, yes,
(00:40):
I can.
Speaker 4 (00:41):
Okay, I didn't know that was Okay, it's me. Let's
go downtown. I'm seeing some a little speckling that looks
like there's not showers. Is there this darn pocket radar.
We'll get a real radar in here shortly. I've got
I forty five golf freeway. Now, if that's not real showers,
it looks like people just going full speed ahead from
all the way from Nasau Bay from the NASA one
(01:01):
entrance ramp. I love that new little ramp twenty one
minutes in the downtown restu for freeways Rock. I'm Skymike
and the Generator Supercenter dot Com Traffic.

Center from our KTRH dot tax defenders. Twenty four hour
weathers under Sunday and hot today with the I temperature
right about ninety five. We'll get the very latest on
the forecast from the Weather Channel and Terry Smith in
about nine minutes right now sixty nine at your official
severe weather station, News Radio seven forty k TRH. It
is time now for the news. Here's Sheriff Fryer.
Speaker 5 (01:29):
Good morning. Everyone is down five oh one on news
Radio seven forty k TRH. Our top story this hour.
Donald Trump back on the campaign trail in Tucson, Arizona, yesterday,
revealing more plans to reduce our taxes.
Speaker 6 (01:43):
Do you get even more relief to American workers. I
will massively cut taxes for working families, and we will
have no taxes on tips, no taxes on Social Security benefits.
Speaker 5 (01:57):
And he went on to say no taxes.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
On O for time.
Speaker 5 (02:00):
I saw that, yeah, earlier on True Social Trump wrote
that he will do no more debates now and that
Kamala Harris immediately calling for another one is a sign
that she lost that ABC event. Commentator and host Hugh
Hewitt tells Fox Well he sees Trump's point.
Speaker 7 (02:19):
I'm not surprised.
Speaker 8 (02:20):
I think he knows that he is in the process
of winning the debate on Tuesday night. NFL fans are
familiar with the phrase. Upon further review, well, upon further review,
the American public has decided that debate was rigged.
Speaker 5 (02:34):
Trump also noted that Harris already turned down his earlier
proposed debates he wanted to do them on Fox or NBC,
So now the only remaining scheduled debate will be the
VP Showdown, the vice presidential debates between JD. Vans and
Tim Walls that will be hosted by CBS on October first.
Kamala Harris, though now trying a new aggressive approach, apparently
(02:56):
holding multiple rallies in North Carolina yesterday and again using
them to just take personal jabs at Donald Trump.
Speaker 9 (03:06):
I understand not everybody liked the person that was on
the stage with me the other night. Kids handed four
hundred million dollars on a silver ladder.
Speaker 5 (03:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (03:17):
Well.
Speaker 5 (03:17):
The campaign says that Harris has raised forty seven million
dollars in the twenty four hours after the debate that
money certainly enhances ballot rigging by the Democrats. There they
go again. They're now touting a massive ballot harvesting operation overseas.
Speaker 11 (03:35):
A DNC operation called Democrats Abroad is planning to mobilize
millions of US citizens living overseas to vote for Kamala Harris.
Houston attorney Jared Woodhille says this raises serious election integrity concerns.
Speaker 12 (03:46):
This is an opportunity where fraud can very easily occur
where someone is registered unbeknownst to them overseas and then
votes unbeknownst to them.
Speaker 4 (03:55):
Here in the United States.
Speaker 12 (03:56):
And that's what we need to stop, and that's what
we need to stop immediately.
Speaker 11 (03:59):
And this effort is not just aimed at the military.
In twenty twenty two, only one third of ballots sent
overseas went to service members. Coriols and News Radio seven
forty KTRH our.
Speaker 5 (04:09):
News Time five oh four. Louisiana beginning a recovery process
now a Hurricane Francceine pummeled much of that state. The governor,
Jeff Landry says good news, there have been no fatalities
so far reported anyway from the storm.
Speaker 6 (04:23):
At the peak, we had over four hundred and fifty
thousand people without power.
Speaker 5 (04:28):
That number now down to roughly one hundred and twenty
five thousand in New Orleans, though folks are being asked
to conserve water the sewer system problems due to the flooding.
A man is shot and killed by a Montgomery County
Deputy sheriff at a motel off I forty five in
the Woodlands last night. That deputy, trying to arrest the
man for trespassing at a motel on Sawdust Road, reportedly
(04:50):
first used his taser, but the man allegedly pulled out
the prongs and then pulled a gun. The deputy says
he fired his gun at the man and killed him.
An investigat is ongoing. Meantime, Sheriff's office in Montgomery County
now launching a new program of using drones to respond
to congestion issues and also with nine to one one
(05:11):
calls in the Woodlands first.
Speaker 13 (05:15):
It is now funneled its way over here to Texas,
and we have a few agencies around here within the
Houston area, Pairland being one of them that has started
this as a way to help our community help our
public and be responsible with taxpayer money.
Speaker 5 (05:27):
He's talking about crime. That's the Lieutenant Scott Spencer of
the Sheriff's office. He says, if effective, the drones will
then be expanded their use throughout Montgomery County. House Republicans
are keeping the Save Act inside its government spending bill
out of the House. The Save Act requires proof of
citizenship to register to vote, which Texas Congressman Hip Roy
(05:49):
says is just common sense.
Speaker 14 (05:52):
Non citizens will vote in the twenty twenty four election
because our system not only makes it easy to do,
but incentivized is doing so.
Speaker 5 (06:00):
Democrats say they will oppose any funding bill that includes
only allowing citizens to register to vote. The current government funding,
by the way, it's going to run out at the
end of this month and it would be a temporary
government shutdown September October first. Thousands of dollars worth of
federal incentives have gone for EV production and purchases, but
(06:25):
sales continue to slip, and now JD Power has cut
its forecast for EV sales.
Speaker 15 (06:32):
So why aren't electric cars able to catch on.
Speaker 16 (06:34):
The cost the infrastructure, the grid? I mean, there's just
so many different issues that make people put the brakes on.
Speaker 15 (06:42):
Jerry Reynolds, host of The Car Pro Show, says that
the government shouldn't have tried to push EV's on consumers.
Speaker 16 (06:48):
This should always be the consumer's choice as to whether
they want an electric car, a hybrid car, gas car,
a diesel car, whatever.
Speaker 15 (06:57):
Reynolds says that as of now, we're probably at least
another twenty years away from electric vehicles becoming mainstream. Ethan
Buchannan News Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 5 (07:06):
It's down five oh seven. The Biden Harris economy could
harm well, actually, they could put the whammy on holiday
shopping profits for big retailers.
Speaker 17 (07:15):
There are a lot of economic worries when it comes
to holiday shopping. Only one in four planning to spend
more than last year, one in three planning to spend less.
Everybody else about the same.
Speaker 5 (07:26):
Bank rates Ted Rossman. He says thirty four percent of
shoppers indicate inflation is changing the way they shop for
the holidays this year. Another twenty seven percent expecting to
do it with debt. Almost fifty percent plan to start
shopping by Halloween when we see the Halloween decor. This year,
the Astros won the series finale with the A's it
(07:47):
was six ' to three last night, the team yesterday afternoon,
the team on the road tonight in Anaheim against the Angels.
Live coverage begins at seven thirty pm. I'm sherew Fryar
on Houston's news, weather and traffic station News Radio seven
atr H.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
Houston's morning News continues with Jimmy Verrett and Sheriff Fryar.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Into chiculdary boards. I love CHICULDI reboards. Then again, I
love meat and cheese and that's what it's all about. Well,
there's new Guinness World record for the largest chiculd Rey
board and it is set here in Texas, of course,
by a subsidiary of EGb Central Market set the record
(08:33):
at their Austin store. A twelve foot by twenty four
foot she could re board?
Speaker 5 (08:38):
Did they just display they let people eat off of it.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
There's a picture of it, chick, check that out. Is
that a lot of meat and cheese or what?
Speaker 5 (08:45):
Oh, that's a lot of wealth and abundance.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
Yes, it is here. Once again, I find myself criticizing
newspaper writers. Hey, Houston Chronicle, there's a lot of reasons
I could criticize you, But what would you like to
know about this, you could re board. Here's what I
would like to know. Given the high price of meat
(09:07):
and cheese, how much this thing costs to build? A
twelve foot by twenty four foot you could reyboard. That
must have cost a fortune. They had one thousand pounds
of artistical meats in cheeses, including apple wood, smoked ham, salami,
and bree cheeses, accompanied by one hundred thirty pounds of fruit.
You get fruit out, you could rey board. I don't
(09:29):
ever eat the fruit anyway. One hundred and thirty pounds
of fruit, ninety pounds of fig spread and mixed berry,
jalapeno compote, crackers and nuts completed the board. Nowhere in
here does it tell us how much it costs to
build it. Get us World Record representatives were present to
officially declare Central Marker's creation the largest chiculdary board in
the world to be created and consumed. They invited the
(09:51):
public to come in and eat it as soon as
it was registered as the world's largest. Central Market has
been there for thirty years in Austin, and they thought
it'd be a great way to celebrate their thirty years.
They also donating thirty thousand dollars to the same David's Foundation.
But again, how much did that thing cost? Five to
ten time for traffic, and whether and why didn't I
go about this? I could go eat some shoot couci. Wow,
(10:14):
I'm trying to say.
Speaker 4 (10:15):
This cootery shark HOOTERI shark couch.
Speaker 5 (10:18):
It's French charcuterie.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
Oh okay, And it's like all that meat and cheese and.
Speaker 5 (10:22):
Stuff, all your East Texas stuff should get that sharp
sharp cha r Terry.
Speaker 4 (10:26):

make Terry spell it all right, Let's go to the
hard work and east side, put your hardheads on. And
I thought I saw some little speckles or something on
my peel's pocket radar, But I think this thing in

from Rice Country, Wallaceville, you know where that is, coming
in past Dana Whack, and we're rocking along from Baytown

Speaker 5 (11:28):

like summer, we got a little bit of summer this
weekend and it will continue into next week. So we're
dry with sunshine and temperatures today a little bit warmer
loa to mid nineties. Tomorrow temperatures will be in the nineties,
like maybe a few places in the upper nineties. But

these southerly winds. And we stay sunny and dry through
two Tuesday and temperatures will be ninety degrees or warmer
early next.
Speaker 21 (12:04):

closing statement by President Trump at the debate on TikTok,

and they got seventeen million likes. Seventeen million likes if
the president's closing statement this.
Speaker 5 (12:42):
Is it really people or is it bots?
Speaker 3 (12:44):
I don't know, but seventeen million is a lot. That's
for dog gone.
Speaker 5 (12:47):
Sure, there's a billion people in China.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
So maybe, well, here's the thing. Maybe that means there's
a lot of people who liked what he had to
say at the end, because that's probably the best thing
he said all night as far as making his argument.
For those of you who missed his close and staved,
we'll share that with you in reaction to it. Coming

Youth Radio seven forty KTRH closing statement from President Trump
getting a lot of likes on social media.
Speaker 3 (15:13):
In case you forget what he said at the close,
let's share that with you. In some reaction to all
this from former White House Press Secretary Keiley macinay, So.
Speaker 6 (15:22):
She just started by saying she's going to do this,
She's going to do that, She's going to do all
these wonderful things. Why hasn't she done it. She's been
there for three and a half years. They've had three
and a half years to fix the border, they've had
three and a half years to create jobs and all
the things we talked about. Why hasn't she done it?
(15:43):
She should leave right now, go down to that beautiful
White House, go to the Capitol, get everyone together, and
do the things you want to do.
Speaker 21 (15:50):
But you haven't done it, and you won't do it.
Speaker 6 (15:53):
Because you believe in things that the American people don't
believe in.
Speaker 4 (15:57):
You believe in.
Speaker 6 (15:58):
Things like we're not going to frack, we're not going
to take fossil fuel, we're not going to do things
that are going to make this country strong, whether you.
Speaker 3 (16:05):
Like it or not.
Speaker 6 (16:06):
Jerrey tried that and within one year they were back
to building normal energy plans.
Speaker 4 (16:13):
We're not ready for it.
Speaker 6 (16:14):
We can't sacrifice our country for the sake of bad vision.
But I just ask one simple question, why didn't she
do it?
Speaker 25 (16:23):
It went viral because Donald Trump hit a key truth,
and the key truth is this, Kamala Harris is the establishment.
Kamala Harris is the ultimate DC insider. Kamala Harris is
the swamp. The polling is extraordinarily clear. New York Times
siena that more than sixty percent want a major change
from Biden. Only a quarter think Kamala Harris represents that
(16:44):
more than a majority, or a majority fifty three percent
think Donald Trump is the change. So if we look
back and Kamala Harris loses a selection, I think we
will look at her failure to represent herself as a
change agent. She should have stood on this stage and said,
here are my policies, my new policy, and here's what's
holding me back, and here are the times I disagreed
with Biden in the situation room, in the Oval office,
(17:07):
in policy meetings. She couldn't say that because she has
not disagreed with him. To your point, she has emphasized
it's the Biden Harris administration she cannot untether herself, and
she cannot win the election if.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
She does not. I thought it was interesting. I saw
a lot of so called independent voters in Pennsylvania being
asked what they thought about the debate, you know, and
it was amazing how many of them really saw through
what was happening, not only with the ABC News moderators,
but also her lack of specific answers. I don't think.
(17:39):
I don't think the act played as well. You know,
everybody wants to say how Kamala Harris won that debate,
and I would be the first to say that thought
President Trump could have done a more succinct job and
personalized it more and used names when he was talking about,
for example, victims of crime from the legal immigrants. I
think he could have done a better job with that.
But all that being said, I don't think I don't
(18:01):
think she I don't think she picked up any support
from this. I really know.
Speaker 5 (18:04):
Well by not saying it, he's got this whole plethora
of people who support him, who have been saying it.
The debate was Tuesday night, we're still talking about it.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
Exactly.
Speaker 5 (18:14):
He didn't have to he didn't have to use his
because he does it in every rally that he does,
and tens and thousands and hundreds of thousands of his
supporters now know this. Yeah, but he's the people who
watch it on TV. But his supporters alf did it deliberately.
I think he absolutely trolled him. I think that the
people who really lost ABC and mainstream media.
Speaker 3 (18:35):
Yeah, but you're right about that.
Speaker 5 (18:37):
I mean, who wants you watched because you want to
get some information? Did you get it? No?
Speaker 3 (18:43):
No you didn't.
Speaker 5 (18:44):
How is that going to boomerang on them?
Speaker 3 (18:46):
We'll see by twenty six? Time to take a look
at your money. Who's in this morning? I forgot to
ask Poet Denise Pelgrine, Good morning, running TV shair.
Speaker 10 (18:56):
We're watching Boeing shares because they are under pressure this morning.
That's how Sure machinists workers walked off the job, the
first such strike, as you've been talking about, the planemaker's
Seattle jetthub in sixteen years after they rejected their contract offer.
American Airlines flight attendants, as you've been talking about, will
be getting paid more. This is a new four point
two billion dollar contract over five years. It means pay
(19:18):
hikes of up to thirty six percent over that period.
And they'll also be getting a nice one time bonus.
You know, they didn't get rass since twenty nineteen, and
we got flight attendants at Southwest. They now have federal
judges approval to proceed in a class action suit. The
workers claim a policy change on attendance punishes workers who
(19:39):
take protected medical and family The Southwest represented by Fisher
and Phillips in that case. Stock futures right now putting
to a higher open down futures up seventy four s
and P futures up twelve. Nasdaq futures up sixteen. We'll
be getting a report on consumer sentiment after the opening

Speaker 4 (20:43):
All right, I've got a Trendstar camera shot of our

make sure he's not in a dark spot somewhere tough.
This is one forty six, the ramp that takes you
to two twenty five, and it's pretty well lit there.
Just watch out for other stations listeners that aren't paying attention.
It says nordbound one six at twenty five on the ramp,

News Radio seven forty KTRH. It's time now for the news.
(21:31):
Here's Sheriff Ryer.
Speaker 5 (21:32):
Good morning. It's five point thirty one on news radio
seven forty KTRH and our top story this hour all
about American culture. We got new polling from Pew Research
that claims that fifty eight percent of Republicans view themselves
as being traditional. Just nineteen percent of Democrats say the same.
Speaker 15 (21:51):
So what does this sharp divide mean for the election voters?
Speaker 28 (21:54):
Whether or not they identify as traditional or not, they
do care about those common denominators, issues like the economy
and life order security.
Speaker 15 (22:03):
Political consultant Catherine Fraser told KTRH, this is creating a
problem for the Democrats.
Speaker 28 (22:08):
I would argue that Democrats failure to focus on those
traditional values will actually hurt them in the long run.
Speaker 29 (22:15):
That's kind of what this election will decide.
Speaker 15 (22:17):
Fraser says that traditional or not, Americans can see that
Harris has made things like the economy and the border worse.
Ethan Buchanan News Radio seven forty krh oh.
Speaker 5 (22:27):
And in the lawfair against Donald Trump, a Georgia judge
has now dismissed two of the triminal counts against Trump
in the Fulton County election interference case. The county judge,
Judge Scott McAfee, ruled that county prosecutors don't have the
authority to bring federal election charges against the former president.
(22:47):
Judge McAfee is allowing, however, the rest of the eight
charges to remain, though the case is on hold because
of separate court actions against the DA Fanie Willis and
her issues with hiring her boyfriend to help prosecute Trump. Trump,
meantime hitting the campaign trail in Tucson, Arizona, yesterday, vowing
to reduce the cost of energy.
Speaker 6 (23:07):
As president, I will end the Harris Biden Warren American
Energy on day one and under my plan, it is
my goal to cut your energy costs by fifty percent
in the first year.
Speaker 5 (23:18):
In a post on truth Social former President Trump said
that polls show he won the Tuesday debate run by ABC,
and he says there will be no more debates. Vice
President Kamala Harris returned to the trail with two events
in North Carolina and per usual, bashing the former president
instead of talking about policy.
Speaker 9 (23:38):
Donald Trump is not fit to be president of the
United States.
Speaker 5 (23:44):
One of the policies we know Harris plans to push
part of her agenda is net zero or zero carbon
emissions by twenty fifty. Brett Bennett with the Texas Public
Policy Foundation says, the actual goal is to destroy also fuels,
oil and gas.
Speaker 30 (24:03):
They're going to try to do as much as they
can within the limits of what they can get through
the courts. The real goal is incrementalism. It's not that
these net zero goals lacks to be achieved. That's just
tightening the news on our energy sector.

Gradually says energy will become unaffordable for Americans. That the
Democrats keep pushing their green new agenda. Republicans keeping the
Save Act to secure elections as part of a larger
government funding buil. They're doing that in the House. The
Save Act requires proof of citizenship to register to vote,
which Texas Congressmanship Roy says is common sense.
Speaker 14 (24:37):
Non citizens will vote in the twenty twenty four election
because our system not only makes it easy to do
but incentivize is.
Speaker 5 (24:44):
Doing so Democrats say they oppose any funding bill that
includes the Save Act. Government funding of non essential services
expires at the end of this month. If they do
not get a spending bill through Congress, well we find
out just gen z's who are struggling these days to
find employment.
Speaker 31 (25:05):
Some even from gen X, who are more than qualified
for a position, aren't hearing back from employers and are
even filing hundreds of applications.
Speaker 32 (25:12):
A lot of businesses will post for open jobs that
people will apply to and they'll get a collection of resumes,

August inflation report mostly flat and that's killing hopes of
any bold moves from the chairman Jerome Powell.
Speaker 33 (25:57):
We need fundamentally shift the direction of what's going on
in Washington. It's an anti business, anti investor environment, and
you've got a major presidential candidate who is anti business,
anti investor, so we need to be doing essentially what
Trump did that work.
Speaker 5 (26:14):
Heritage Foundation economist Steve Moore told Fox Business that interest
rate cuts will not help the broken economy of Joe
Biden and Kamala Harris. It's now five point thirty six.
All this uncertainty over the election. The failing economy has
got potential home buyers holding off until after the November
dust settles. Economist Vance Gins says interest rates and inflation

have people stuck in place, and even a Trump win
might not fix it immediately.
Speaker 34 (26:41):
Those are the types of things that people are dealing
with within their own budgets every month, and you can't
just undo that no matter which administration that comes in
in January. It's going to take some time to start
to write this thing.

Nobody under the age of twenty or everybody under the
age of twenty loves mac and cheese. That's a fact,
that's a natural born fact. I defy you to find
I define you to find any child under the age
of thirteen who doesn't like mac and cheese. If you
find that one child, I would like to meet that
child and find out what's wrong with them, because obviously
(29:35):
there's some deep seated psychological problems with that child.
Speaker 5 (29:39):
Stomach issues.
Speaker 3 (29:41):
Well, yeah, well that's a whole different thing. That's the
whole different thing. We also have a walnut recall. This
is for Emerald kettle glazed walnuts. Emerald's a big brand
all over the country. Here's the good news. If you're
not allergic to nuts, don't worry about it. And I'm
thinking myself as I'm reading this, it was found to
(30:02):
contain the walnuts were found to contain undeclared peanuts, almonds,
and pecans mixed nuts. Hand on, what are they doing
in with the walnuts? First of all, that's the first question.
The second question is is if you're allergic to peanuts,
almonds or pecans, are you buying walnuts? You're probably avoiding
nuts all together, aren't you. So anyway, don't you don't
(30:24):
have to worry about that one unless you have a
nut allergy to pecans, almonds, or peanuts.
Speaker 5 (30:29):

We're coming up on five point fifty here in Houston's
Morning News. One of the stories we've been talking a
little bit about this morning. We're going to get into
a little bit more detail here in just a couple
of minutes. Is net zero? You hear the term all
the time, right, we have to get to net zero? Well,
what does hell does that mean? What is required to
get to net zero? To the people who have net
zero policies and know what net zero is? Well, Doctor
(33:02):
Brent Bennett from the Texas Public Policy Foundation about that.
Next first though, let's do a little traffic and weather together.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
Net zero, you're it all the time. We wish, we
want to achieve net zero. Vice President Kamba Her supports
a net zero energy policy. What does that mean other
than a war on gas and oil? Bren Bennett joins
us of the Texas Public Policy Foundation. What the world
does net zero really mean when you get right down
to it, Brent.
Speaker 22 (35:24):
Hi, Jammy, good to join you this morning.
Speaker 36 (35:26):
Now, net zero is is, you know, net zero carbon emissions,
and typically it's by some date, you know, whether it's
twenty forty, twenty fifty, whatever. The Greenier deal was net
zero by twenty thirty, which they've kind of given up
on macuse we're too close to twenty thirty. But the
real origin of the idea was the Paris Climate Accords
in twenty fifteen, where they needed some kind of goal
and you know, it's not a scientific goal.
Speaker 22 (35:48):
It was a political goal. They needed something to shoot
for us.
Speaker 36 (35:50):
They said, well, let's shoot for you know, zero carbon
emissions by twenty fifty, which would get us to only
two degrees of warming, you know, and there's nothing magic
about two degrees. Two point one degrees is not the world,
like the world's gonna end.
Speaker 5 (36:03):
Well, the sun can kind of do that, can it?
Speaker 36 (36:07):
Yeah, exactly, I mean it's it's so there's there's no like,
there's no real like science behind it.
Speaker 22 (36:12):
And it was a political goal that was created.
Speaker 36 (36:14):
To give you know, the people crafting the Paris of
Climate Accords something Ai'm at right, something to talk about.
So that's that's kind of now it's morphed into this
whole movement of sorts, uh, to you know, bring us
down to that zero when there's no cost benefit to that, right,
There's there's nothing, there's nothing, there's no you know again,
(36:36):
there's no like it's absolute all or.
Speaker 22 (36:38):
Nothing, right, So you don't get to that zero the
world ends.
Speaker 5 (36:41):
So the end result of this is, i mean, the
Paris Accords China famously would not sign it. You've got China, India,
you've got bricks countries, everybody except the Western world going
ahead and doing whatever carbon emissions they want to do,
whether it's coal, which is you know pready does, but
(37:02):
natural gas, whatever. It's only the Western world and what
does that mean to us?
Speaker 36 (37:08):
Yeah, And a lot of it is designed around, first
of all, controlling our energy system, right, That's a lot
of the politics is aimed towards, and the policy goals
are aimed towards. You know, you can't you know, you
can't drive gas vehicles, you can't do this, you can't
do that.
Speaker 22 (37:25):
And it's also around wealth redistribution.
Speaker 37 (37:27):
Right.
Speaker 22 (37:28):
The big part of the Paris.
Speaker 36 (37:29):
Climate Courts was was creating a fund which has not
really been done a little bit yet but everyone's kind
of balking it paying into it. It's creating a fund
to basically transfer money to developing nations to help, you know,
supposedly improve their climate resilience. So that's you know, those
are really the two kind of the politics behind is
really aiming towards that.
Speaker 22 (37:49):
There's not it's not about carbon emissions really when you
get down to.
Speaker 3 (37:52):
No, it's about control you're absolutely rights about control. The
question I would have is, and I think this is
further proof of it. If it was really about saving
the planet, then we would have spent the billions of
dollars necessary to put charging stations all around the country
before trying to get people to buy evs. But we
clearly didn't do that. So it's set up for failure
(38:12):
right from the beginning, right.
Speaker 36 (38:15):
And and we would have we would have been building
nuclear a long time ago, because that's the most effective
way to decarbonized the grid. But instead we're throwing you know,
the Inflation Reduction Act, those billions, hundreds of billions of
dollars at you know, a bunch of technologies that we
know aren't going to completely eliminate.
Speaker 3 (38:34):
This Really, is this really about redistribution of wealth when
we go right down to it.
Speaker 36 (38:38):
Yes, yeah, it's about you know, distributing wealth from you know,
favored unfavored parties to favored parties, right and and and
through that gaining political power.
Speaker 22 (38:49):
Right, That's that's kind of.
Speaker 36 (38:51):
What you know, money is power, right, So there's where
you're giving away money, you're you're creating power bases for
you know, more votes for X, Y Z, right, So
that's that's really, that's really what it's about when you
get down to it.
Speaker 3 (39:04):
Well, I hope our kids figure that out someday. Yeah
they have. Brent, thank you, has always appreciated. Brent Bennett

she's going to enter a more aggressive phase of her
campaign now. She held two rallies in North Carolina yesterday,

state which Donald Trump won twice. We'll call it mail
in ballots on steroids. Democrats bragging about a massive effort
to get millions of Americans living overseas to vote for
Kamala Harris. Attorney Jared woodfille Here says it can lead
to people having a ballot cast in their name and
not even know it.
Speaker 4 (41:58):
You see that happening time and time again in the
United States.
Speaker 37 (42:01):
So now the opportunity for fraud is much greater when
you look to do the same thing abroad, because the
ability to verify whether or not that individual is registered
or then actually cast the vote is challenging at best.
Speaker 5 (42:13):
It's a well funded shadow organization called Democrats Abroad, and
it touts it will target nine million Americans, even though
the Pentagon itself estimates fewer than three million eligible voters
actually live overseas. Clean up already underway in Louisiana after

And sure it's going to start in the woodlands where
they have a lot of trees and traffic.
Speaker 13 (43:34):
This is a great fit for our county because we
are growing and our infrastructure is extremely stressed to the max. Right,
cops are using the same roads as everybody else.
Speaker 38 (43:43):
That is Lieutenant Scott Spencer with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
Speaker 3 (43:48):
So how will it work.
Speaker 13 (43:50):
The drones would be able to go up immediately on
those calls, go to the scene and be able to
start looking for the suspects, record evidence, and relay that
information to first responders as they're coming to the scene.
Speaker 38 (44:00):
The pair Land Police Department began using drones last year.

It's now six h five funding our government. House Speaker
Mike Johnson is pushing forward in an effort to tie
a six month government funding bill to the Save Act,
which would require people to show proof of citizenship in
order to vote in federal elections. Florida Congresswoman kac Camicks
tells Fox why this is important.
Speaker 39 (44:29):
Eighty two percent of Americans agree that non citizens should
not be voting in US elections. It's a common sense
measure and I cannot stress enough that it is really
at the peril of my colleagues on the other side
of the aisle that they don't adopt this.
Speaker 5 (44:43):
Yeah, well the Democrats oppose it, and that's going to
lead to the budget showdown. Current funding will run out
at the end of this month, at least for non
necessary funding of the government. Six six is our time?
Does that make sense? Despite constantly being pushed by government subsidies,
EVS sales, they're not catching on and now JD Power
(45:07):
has lowered its outlook for expected sales.
Speaker 16 (45:11):
The government pushed these things way too hard, way too fast,
and that's why it's backfiring today. How many things you
ever seen the government do right? They didn't do this
right either.
Speaker 5 (45:24):
Jerry Reynolds their host of the Car pro Show. He
says EVS won't become mainstream until charging infrastructure is improved. Jimmy,

they would have to be able to go at least

Ben and Jerry's has a new Kamala coconut flavor coming
out for the election season. We've talked about Ben and
Jerry's before. They're highly progressive founders of that company. It's
no longer what's an interesting situation. Ben and Jerry's is
not owned by Ben and Jerry. It's owned by Unilever,
(47:04):
which is a London based company. However, as part of
the deal they made with Unilever, stupid Unilever, they have
an autonomous board and they do whatever the hell they
want to do. And what they want to do is
to fund progressive causes like move on dot org, and
they are teaming up with move on dot org. They're
going to take ice cream trucks to the battleground states
(47:25):
to serve up Kamala coconut ice cream, buy some boats
with ice cream maybe, or just just promote Kamala Harris.
The reason for the coconut because of the statement she
made when she was announcing her campaign about just not
having fallen out of a coconut tree. I can't I
can't even remember it. It didn't seem to make any
(47:45):
sense at the time. It probably still doesn't make any sense.
I didn't just fall out of a coconut tree. So
that's why they went with the coconut flavored No, I'm
wondering if we're going to make this an authoric Kamala
Harris ice cream though, what should be in it? Other
than cocaine at flakes? We put the episode some flake.
Speaker 5 (48:02):
Oh it's not really coconut milk inspired.
Speaker 3 (48:05):
It's a coconut flavor, Yes, coconut flavor. But I'm guessing
there'll be other ingredients. I think there isn't virtually every
bed in Jerry's well. We got to put nuts in there, right,

Quiet stretch of though it is rather warm, and it
stays like that through most of next week. I don't
see really much of a change right now, at least
through Wednesday. Load to mid nineties. Today a little warmer
than yesterday. Tomorrow we'll see a few places in the
upper nineties, and we're going to stay sunny and dry
through Tuesday. I don't see changes in the temperatures, so
(50:21):
expect nineties in the afternoon, and at some point we'll

Speaker 3 (50:41):
You know, if there's one thing that Democrats are really
really good at, it's harvesting ballots, and they have a
plan to harvest millions of overseas ballots. We'll talk to
Jared Woodfill about that coming up next. First, though, at
sixty one eight, let's do a little traffic and whether
together's starting with the U sky by right six to north.
Speaker 4 (50:56):
We're running out of ways to go if we're hazardous.
It's a new problem. Linda up from Spring Hey.

if your officials severe weather station. News Radio seven forty
k TRH time to get you caught up on some
of our top stories this morning. Here's Shriff six.
Speaker 5 (51:44):
Twenty one now on news Radio seven forty k TRH.
The's headlines are sponsored by Moral Mechanical. Attorney General Mary
Garland denounces what he calls a tax on the Justice
Department based on conspiracy theories. He accuses those who question
the obvious weaponization of justice of bullying and intimidating career
(52:06):
public servants. I know you are but one am I,
and it will not stand. Yeah. A Georgia judge has
dismissed two criminal accounts against former President Donald Trump in
his election interference case in that single county of Fulton County, Georgia.
He says, well, the county doesn't really have jurisdiction to
prosecute federal law. More than a quarter of American homeowners
(52:27):
say they aren't prepared financially for extreme weather events. A
bank Rate survey found fifteen percent would have to go
into debt just to afford the deductible under their homeowner
insurance policies if their home is damaged. Latest news anytime
at KGERH dot com or next update will be at
the bottom of the hour.
Speaker 4 (52:46):
It's the hottest happening right now. The hottest news happens
right here. St alert and be prepared on US.
Speaker 3 (52:54):
Radio seven forty KTRH as I said, Democrats plan to
harvest millions of overseas ballots is a threat to a
fair election. Obviously, they've done it before, They'll do it again.
Jared Woodvillein's attorney, former Harris County GOP chair, also a
part of the Trump campaign's legal watchdog team for the election.
Welcome to the show, Jared. How many how many ballots?
(53:17):
I assume we're talking about the expats who live overseas
or work overseas or is it more to it than
just that military, Well, Jimmy.
Speaker 40 (53:26):
Really falls into three categories.
Speaker 37 (53:28):
You're right, it's military personnel and their dependents. But the
majority of those votes are coming from US citizens who
are residing outside the United States. So what the Democrats
are attempting to do is to register and then vote
those individuals. They're trying to harvest those foreign ballots, and
we think the number is about two point eight million. Now,
the project there they're referring to indicates that it's nine
(53:51):
million folks. That's an inaccurate number. It's only about two
point eight million or so.
Speaker 40 (53:55):
But what's interesting is ever since Joe Biden withdrew from
the raceumber of folks registering who fall into that category
has increased by one hundred percent.
Speaker 37 (54:05):
So it's a big issue knowing how tight this election
is likely to be. And the reason this is such
a big issue is because we know the number one
area that we find voter fraud is in ballot by mail.
That's it domestically it's even worse if you're dealing with
it overseas. So there's this statue called the Uniform and
Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act, which will require states to
(54:28):
put programs in place to allow these groups of individuals
to vote overseas. The problem is, in thirty one of
those states, these individuals are allowed to register.
Speaker 21 (54:38):
And vote electronically.
Speaker 4 (54:39):
That means doing it by email.
Speaker 37 (54:41):
And so we know how susceptible that type of voting
is to fraud. So we can't identify or verify who
the individual is, we can't identify or verify their citizenship,
and we can't even identify and verify whether that person
is the one who casts the email vote from overseas.
Speaker 7 (54:58):
And so that is a huge opportunity for voter brod.
Speaker 5 (55:02):
You know when we talk about harvesting bellas, you know,
we get the impressure will they go pick up the
paper ballot and then they make sure that it gets
where it needs to be. This isn't what's actually happening,
is it.
Speaker 37 (55:13):
Oh, it's completely different, share because it's done online and
it's happening in thirty one states. So it's impossible to
verify the identity or even the human existence of an
online non military registered voter, and so thirty one states
are engaging, and so it's potentially two point eight million
or more of individuals that are registering electronically via email
(55:39):
and then voting via email.
Speaker 22 (55:40):
So how do we know those are real people?
Speaker 37 (55:42):
How do we know they're not bots that are actually voting.
It is extremely challenging to determine the veracity of those votes,
especially when they're coming from overseas. Most of them are
coming from places like Great Britain, they're coming from Canada,
they're coming from France and then a few other countries.
But this is an opportunity for voter fraud and an
election that's going to be extremely close, we're going to
(56:05):
have to be very vigilant.
Speaker 5 (56:06):
What is this group that calls themselves Democrats Abroad because
they're bragging they're going to get nine million votes, Well,
it's just.
Speaker 37 (56:13):
Another liberal progressive Democrat front group. And you know they're
the nine million votes, that's a bogus number. They've phraised
about three hundred thousand dollars, not million. Three hundred thousand dollars,
and it's not nine million. If you go and look
at the numbers from the Secretary of State. They are
only about two point eight million individuals living abroad who
are a voting age in.
Speaker 7 (56:35):
Qualified to vote.
Speaker 37 (56:36):
But but that's never stopped the Democrats anyway.
Speaker 7 (56:38):
So it's two point eight million.
Speaker 37 (56:39):
Yeah, they may try to identify or create nine million.
Speaker 3 (56:42):
Key to this election, of course, are the battleground states.
So do they have a way of making those ballots
show up in particular states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, anywhere
where it might be close.
Speaker 41 (56:54):
Absolutely, because thirty one states, so many of those states
are battleground states. So it's going to be incumbent upon
the ballot security committees in those states, the attorney generals
in those states, the local county and district attorneys in
those states to make sure that these particular ballots are
closely scrutinized.
Speaker 21 (57:11):
Because in an election where.
Speaker 37 (57:13):
You're looking at a point or two different in a
particular state, every single vote counts, and when an illegal
vote discount by fraud, man ay councils out.
Speaker 3 (57:23):
A legal vote. Thank you, good luck to us on
this all right, thank you, sir appreciated. Jared Wood Phil
joining us is six twenty seven. It is time to
take a look at your money. Here's Denise PELGREENI Jimmy,
we're getting word.
Speaker 5 (57:33):
More tariffs on China are about to go in effect.
Speaker 10 (57:37):
The Office of the US Trade Representative formally approving tariff
increases on billions of dollars in Chinese goods. They'll go
into effect in two weeks. We think this includes tariffs
on electric vehicles, semiconductors and batteries, to solar cells, and
critical minerals. These are new tariffs on top of some
of the ones you already know about. Amazon says it
(57:57):
will invest more than two billion dollars in its contract
delivery program. It says it's delivery service partners will be
able to boost drivers paid in nearly twenty two dollars
an hour. Stock futures are putting to a higher open
right now. Dow futures up sixty one s and P
futures up eleven. Nasdaq futures also up eleven. Bank of
America strategist saying stock market is likely to continue to
(58:20):
trade sideways until US employment data shows clear signs of
either weakening or strengthening. Speaking of jobs, Bath and Bodyworks
among the first big retailers to announce holiday hiring plans.
Personal Products Chain plans to hire more than thirty thousand
temporary workers to staff stores and distribution centers. I'm Deddy's

Thirty Here on Houston's Morning News, I'm Jimmy Barrett, a

Democrats don't have traditional American values. You can't get to
ned zero if you don't know what it is. And
coming up at six pointirty eight, Trump ups the ante
with no taxes on overtime details in the minutes ahead,
you're in Houston's Morning News. First, we're checking out that
(59:21):
Morning Drive again. Here's sky Mike.
Speaker 4 (59:22):
All right, hazardous people, listen up. We've cleared both of
our Loop rex But which way should you go? South
Loop at Scott That one's gone. That's a fourteen minute
drag going westbound on the North Loop. Six to ten
it's like we had matching rex this morning westbound. Everybody's
fine at forty five. That one's gone too. That's only
a seven minute delay. So if your hazardous take the
(59:42):
north Loop instead, normal people take I ten through. I'm
Skymike on a Generator Supercenter, dot Com Traffic Center.
Speaker 3 (59:48):
From our KTRH Generator Supercenter, twenty four hour weather Center
Sunday and hot ninety five today. It looks similar for
tomorrow and for Sundays. So we've got a little dry
spell coming up with a return of summer like temperatures.
Or on that with Terry Smith at the Weather Channel
in eight minutes right now sixty eight at your official
severe weather station, News Radio seven forty KTRH. It is
(01:00:09):
time now for the news. Here's Sheriff Fryer Morning.
Speaker 5 (01:00:11):
Everyone is now six point thirty two on news Radio
seven forty KTRH and our top story this hour, holding
of our culture. It's pure research that finds fifty eight
percent of Republicans identify as being traditional. Only nineteen percent
of Democrats would say the same thing.
Speaker 29 (01:00:29):
Republicans are very different. They care about that.
Speaker 28 (01:00:31):
They believe that faith and family are really the fabric
of society. And what enabled us to build a strong
economy to build healthy communities.
Speaker 5 (01:00:41):
Yeah, that's political analyst Catherine Fraser, who told KGRH, Look,
if you don't have a plan for building a safe
and strong community unless you hold traditional values, it's going
to work out badly for the Democrats. A Georgia judge
has dismissed two of the criminal counts against Donald Trump
at that Fulton County so called election interference case. The judge,
(01:01:04):
Scott McAfee, says that county prosecutors don't really have the
authority to bring federal election charges against the former president.
He's also, though, allowing the rest of eight charges to remain.
The case is on hold right now because of separate
court actions around the DA who's prosecuting Fanny Willis and
(01:01:24):
her issues with hiring her boyfriend to help her do that.
Trump rallied in Arizona yesterday and commented on the media
spin of his debate performance.
Speaker 6 (01:01:36):
People said that I was angry at the debate.
Speaker 7 (01:01:38):
Angry.
Speaker 21 (01:01:39):
I was angry, and.
Speaker 6 (01:01:42):
Yes, I am angry because he allowed twenty one million
illegal aliens invading our communities. Many of them are criminals,
many are criminals. I'm angry.
Speaker 5 (01:01:55):
Trump confirmed he will not do another debate. Harris returned
to the trail with two events in North Carolina, per usual,
bashing Donald Trump instead of talking about her plans for policy.
Speaker 9 (01:02:08):
Donald Trump is not fit to be president of the
United States.
Speaker 5 (01:02:14):
Harris now running as a moderate, apparently despite her history
of far left positions. Texas Congressmanship Roy tells Katie Rhsclay
and Buck their show that Harris has flip flopped just
in the past week.
Speaker 14 (01:02:28):
They put out a tweet where she said she would
want to ban assault weapons.
Speaker 4 (01:02:31):
Now we can have a debate about that policy.
Speaker 3 (01:02:33):
She said, ban on.
Speaker 18 (01:02:34):
Then she goes to the debate and said, I'm not
talking about banning.
Speaker 7 (01:02:36):
Gunn Yes, you are?
Speaker 6 (01:02:37):
You?
Speaker 4 (01:02:38):
Literally are?
Speaker 40 (01:02:38):
You?
Speaker 4 (01:02:38):
Tweeted it out two days before.
Speaker 5 (01:02:41):
Roy as that most Americans are smart enough to see
what's happening here. And yet another issue that Kamala Harris
has not pressed on or asked about during the debate
from those moderators her support of net zero energy.
Speaker 38 (01:02:57):
Sure as zero emissions by twenty fifth d which has
zero chance as.
Speaker 30 (01:03:02):
Long as eighty percent of our energy comes from fossil
fuels and people want to consume more energy. The only
way to achieve net zero is to deny people energy.
So it really is a net zero energy plan.
Speaker 38 (01:03:13):
That's Brent Bennett with the Texas Public Policy.
Speaker 3 (01:03:16):
Foundation, and it is the plan. So what will that
look like.
Speaker 30 (01:03:20):
The rich can keep afford to paying their bill and
they'll have energy, and the poor are going to have
to ration their energy use. So that's where this is
heading and that's where we have to watch out for
in Texas too.
Speaker 38 (01:03:31):
We need more reliable energy which will not be a
part of the Harris Plan. Jeff Biggs, News Radio seven
k t RH.
Speaker 5 (01:03:40):
It's now six thirty five. It's getting hard to find
work in this country, even for those in Gen X
Generation X with enough qualifications and college degrees.
Speaker 32 (01:03:51):
Sometimes people get persuaded to go into college and take
degrees and take out loans and so forth for degrees
that would have been good five years ago. But the
market is changing. In the university's unforceeing, the career counselors
do not always adapt to the current situation.
Speaker 5 (01:04:06):
Yeah, all these younger generations better pay attention. Associate Professor
of Economics Lone Star College University, Park Hank Lewis, He says,
folks are starting to think that their degrees are useless
in today's world. This week's mostly flat inflation report for
August means likely that the Federal Reserve will not be
bold if and when they cut interest rates. That said,
(01:04:28):
Heritage Foundation economist Steve Moore says, rake cuts won't cure
the Biden hereris economy.
Speaker 33 (01:04:35):
I just don't think the rate cuts are going to
solve their problem here. I mean it could help in
the short term. It's like a little shot of steroids,
but you got a cancer patient here.
Speaker 5 (01:04:44):
Moore was on Fox Business. The Fed meets next week,
expected to cut interest rates by one quarter of a
percent is six point thirty six. Now, home buyers are
pretty skittish with all this uncertainty.
Speaker 23 (01:04:58):
With the presidency still in the air. Out of shocking development.
Speaker 34 (01:05:01):
There's also high interest rates. There's economic uncertainty that's going on, and.
Speaker 27 (01:05:04):
You also look at inflation.
Speaker 34 (01:05:06):
Inflation is hitting their pocketbook on everything else besides.
Speaker 3 (01:05:09):
Just their home.
Speaker 23 (01:05:10):
Economist Vance Again says Trump winning might shift the landscape
and bring people back, but even then we're still looking
at a long road to normalcy.
Speaker 34 (01:05:17):
We had pro growth policies of lower taxes, and we
get lower interest rates and more economic growth. Don't gonna
takes six months to a year before I think we're
gonna see much different.
Speaker 3 (01:05:26):
He says.
Speaker 23 (01:05:26):

Kambalist steals this idea? Is on the campaign trail yesterday

Speaker 6 (01:07:03):
I'm also announcing that as part of our additional tax cuts,
we will end all taxes on overtime.
Speaker 21 (01:07:11):
You know what that means. Think of that, Think of that,
Think of them.
Speaker 6 (01:07:28):
That gives people more of an incentive to work.
Speaker 3 (01:07:33):
It gives the.
Speaker 6 (01:07:34):
Companies a lot, it's a lot easier to.
Speaker 21 (01:07:36):
Get the people.
Speaker 6 (01:07:37):
And you know, I went to some economists, great ones,
and I said, what do you think They said, it
would be unbelievable.
Speaker 4 (01:07:42):
You'll get a whole.
Speaker 6 (01:07:43):
New workforce by doing the no taxes on overtime. The
people who work overtime are among the hardest working citizens
in our country. And for too long, no one in
Washington has been looking out for them.
Speaker 4 (01:07:59):
Those are the people they really work.
Speaker 6 (01:08:02):
They're police officers, nurses, factory workers, construction workers, truck drivers,
and machine operators. It's time for the working man and
woman to finally catch a break. And that's what we're
doing because this is a good one and I think it's.
Speaker 3 (01:08:17):
Going to be great for the country.
Speaker 6 (01:08:21):
So that's why we will be saying that if you're
an overtime worker, when you're past forty hours a week,
think of that, your overtime hours will be tax free.
Speaker 21 (01:08:31):
Okay, good, you're.
Speaker 3 (01:08:33):
Going to have it. Okay, good bye me. I'm sure.
That's Here's the thing I like about it. There's actually
an incentive there to work and to work hard. With
something like it, is that enough to get people? I mean,
let's face it, there's a lot of people who are
very happy and satisfied giving whatever the government will dole
(01:08:54):
out to them. You're not going to appeal to them.
But your average American with American values who's working hard,
that's that's going to get their attention. Six forty one
dive for traffic and Weather together. Hey, sky Mike, what's
going on?
Speaker 4 (01:09:07):
Dude, we've got to check this North and South Loop thing.
We had dueling wrecks both ways though we're both westbound
South Loop. Earlier, the North Loop was the easy choice
because it was seven minutes versus fourteen. But now it's
leveling out. The South Loop suckage is now eleven minutes.
Look now went up to twelve westbound. They cleared the
wreck at Scott and then the North Loop westbound is
(01:09:28):
slow by an extra six minutes. So for now it's
terry since your hazard us to the North Loop instead
or the Beltway. If you want to be a big shot,
do the Beltway and get around all that stuff altogether.
Did I say that? And then the North Sam we've
got all Dean Westfield. There's two left lanes blocked there,
and you gotta watch out for other stations listeners because
they don't know about that squeeze down and they freak out.
(01:09:48):
And here we are. We got a back up now
from JFK. Ten extra minutes going that way. Tollbridge says,
hold my beer. That is a thirteen minute drag trying
to get down to two twenty five. Tip fl seven

Speaker 20 (01:10:36):
Sunshine and warm weather and just really a good looking
weekend to get outside. And right now I don't see
any rate now. We'll put up with this through early
next week, but at some point this needs to change.
Temperatures are definitely warmer today with a little bit of
a westerly breeze. Load of mid nineties today and tomorrow
(01:10:57):
again back in the nineties, but some places in the nineties,
we'll hold on to those load of mid nineties Sunday,
Monday and Tuesday as well, so.

Speaker 3 (01:13:31):
This is Strategic Securities Chairman and CEO John Twinert does
a very good job of explaining it.
Speaker 42 (01:13:37):
The thing that's important to remember about inflation is that
it's cumulative, which means that even if the rate goes down,
prices don't go down. So what we've done is we've
looked at real wages on a cumulative basis, which is
we've looked at people's wages versus the increase in prices.
And what you found is that in the Trump years,
people standard of living improved, people got richer by about
(01:13:58):
three percent. During the years they've gotten poorer, prices of
exceeded wages by at least four percent, and based on
another configuration of inflation that we use, by as much.
Speaker 3 (01:14:10):
As five percent.
Speaker 42 (01:14:11):
So they cannot say that because people's standard of living
has declined, their dollars go a lot less far than
they used to. I also, I just wonder when I
watch these debates whether David Muir or any of these
people like take the subway or go grocery shopping or
just you know, they're telling you not to believe what
you're seeing with your own eyes. And my office is
(01:14:34):

to three thousand new newcomers Okay, And it's impossible to
see the sympathy for either these poor people that are

So I don't know what they're talking about.

I really, I'm sorry going off the topic of economics,
which is my Bailey Wick. But I run around this town.
I've lived in New York City for thirty four years.
There is no question that the quality of life in
this town has deteriorated, and has deteriorated directly because of
the policies of the Biden Harris administration.
Speaker 3 (01:15:07):
Quality of life is deteriorated in every major city in America,
every major city, and a.
Speaker 5 (01:15:13):

In small towns is a good bring up spring. I
hate to keep up bringing up Springfield, Ohio. But I
loved his exis it up because I don't feel like
that I'm not just picking on just them. Here's the thing,
even some very smart people. I had a discussion with
old friend of mine yesterday about inflation. A lot of
people don't understand the concept. They hear inflations down to
(01:15:36):
you know, one point seven percent bo or two percent,
They go, okay, it's fixed. Well, what what about the
last three years? What does your standard living look like? Now?
What are the things you think those prices are going down?
They're not. It's it's it's an important point to get
across the people who just don't put the numbers together
all right. Time for the timeline. We're gonna give away

Good morning. It's seven o two on news Radio seven

back on the campaign trail and Tucson, Arizona yesterday, revealing
more plans to reduce our taxes.
Speaker 6 (01:18:48):
Do you get even more relief to American workers. I
will massively cut taxes for working families, and we will
have no taxes on tips, no taxes.

Speaker 5 (01:19:01):
Annie went on to say no taxes on overtime. Earlier
on True Social Trump wrote that he'll do no more
debates and that Kamala Harris immediately calling for another one
is a sign she knows she lost Tuesday night. In
that ABC event, commentator and host Hugh Hewittt tells Fox
he sees Trump's point.
Speaker 7 (01:19:22):
I'm not surprised.
Speaker 8 (01:19:23):
I think he knows that he is in the process
of winning the debate on Tuesday night. NFL fans are
familiar with the phrase. Upon further review, Well, upon further review,
the American public has decided that debate was rigged.
Speaker 5 (01:19:37):
Yeah, Trump noted Harris already turned down his earlier proposed
debates on Fox and NBC, so now he doesn't need
any note to do anymore. The only remaining scheduled debate
is a vice presidential showdown between JD Vance and Tim
Walls hosted by CBS, and that will be October one. Meantime,
Harris is trying a new aggressive approach, holding multiple rallies
(01:20:00):
in North Carolina Thursday yesterday, again taking personal jabs at
the former president.
Speaker 9 (01:20:08):
I understand not everybody liked the person that was on

Speaker 5 (01:20:18):
Vice president Kamala Harris campaign claims it raised forty seven
million dollars, so in the twenty four hours after the debate,
money enhancing, ballot rigging all across the place. And there
they go again. Democrats now touting a massive ballot harvesting
operation overseas.
Speaker 11 (01:20:38):
A DNC operation called Democrats Abroad is planning to mobilize
millions of US citizens living overseas to vote for Kamala Harris.
Houston attorney Jared Woodhille says this raisist serious election integrity concerns.
Speaker 12 (01:20:50):
This is an opportunity where fraud can very easily occurred
where someone is registered unbeknownst to them overseas and then
votes unbeknownst to them here in the United States.
Speaker 4 (01:21:00):
And that's what we need to stop, and that's what
we need to stop immediately.
Speaker 11 (01:21:03):

Speaker 6 (01:21:26):
At the peak, we had over four hundred and fifty
thousand people without power.
Speaker 5 (01:21:31):
That number about one hundred and twenty five thousand customers
without power in New Orleans. Though folks are being asked
to conserve water. The soar system has problems due to
the flooding. Seven oh five is our time. Montgomery County
deputies were forced to shoot an armed man pointing a
gun of kids at a motel off I forty five
in the Woodlands last night. We've got crimes spreading all
(01:21:54):
across our area and with increasing calls to nine one
one and congested streets. In re responding, the Sheriff's office
in Montgomery County now launching a new program of using drones.
They're going to try it out in the Woodlands first.
Speaker 13 (01:22:08):
It is now funneled its way over here to Texas
and we have a few agencies around here within the
Houston area, Pairland being one of them that has started
this as a way to help our community, help our
public and be responsible with taxpayer money.
Speaker 5 (01:22:21):
Yeah, that's Lieutenant Scott Spencer, he says. If it's effective,
the drones are going to be used throughout the county.
Montgomery County House Republicans they are keeping the Save Act
inside its government spending bill. The Save Act requires proof
of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections, which
Texas Congressman Chip Royce says is only common sense.
Speaker 14 (01:22:43):
Non citizens will vote in the twenty twenty four election
because our system not only makes it easy to do,
but incentivize.
Speaker 32 (01:22:49):
Is doing so.
Speaker 5 (01:22:50):
Democrats say no, they're going to oppose any funding bill
that includes the Save Act. Are they going to allow
the government to shut down partially the current government fund
expires at the end of this month. Okay, who wins
this eyeball to eyeball brinksmanship. Despite thousands of dollars worth
of federal incentives for purchases of EV's, sales continue to slip,

Speaker 16 (01:23:20):
Cost the infrastructure, the grid? I mean, there's just so
many different issues that make people put the brakes on.
Speaker 15 (01:23:28):
Jerry Reynolds, host of The Car pro Show, says that
the government shouldn't have tried to push EV's on consumers.
Speaker 16 (01:23:33):
This should always be the consumer's choice as to whether
they want an electric car, a hybrid car, gas car,
a diesel car, whatever.

Sheriff Fryar. This is Houston's morning news. Reparations is come
up again, this time in New York City. New York City,
it will soon become the largest city of the United
States to enact a reparations program. Council members Crystal Hudson
(01:24:54):
and Farah Lewis have sponsored pair bills to establish a Truth,
Healing and Reconciliation Commission. Evidently, truth healing and reconciliation come
with a pretty big price tag, saying today in New
York City, the Council voted to pass legislation establishing municipal
efforts to acknowledge and address the legacy and impact of
(01:25:15):
slavery and racial injustices in New York City. The package
of legislation would establish the truth, healing and reconciliation process
on slavery within New York City. And I assume come
up with, as they did in California, some sort of
price tag to put on it.
Speaker 22 (01:25:32):
What was it?
Speaker 3 (01:25:32):
San Francisco said they wanted to pay five million dollars
to every black person living in San Francisco, regardless of
where they were from. Five million dollars. Well's biggest San
Francisco is New York City is even bigger and rarely
has a higher minority population. So how much money are
we talking about in taxpayer dollars in New York City?

Haven't they already lost enough residence throughout a state without

the left lame, which not only scooches up forty five,
but also scooches up the north Belt, but it also
(01:26:47):
squitches up that the ramp that goes from forty five

a plane, take the Hardy Toll Road Airport connector just
don't tell anybody. And then North Sam westbound at Aldine

and we already have suckage from JFK both ends of

If it goes well in the Woodlands, they may use

Speaker 3 (01:30:21):
Let's face it, if you have a police department, and
most police departments are this way, we have a shortage
of manpower. Every little bit of technology you can employ
can be very helpful. Sergeant Felix Williams joins us from
the Parentland Police Department. They're already using drones. Welcome to
the show, Sergeant Williams. What do you folks using the
drones for?
Speaker 18 (01:30:40):
So, we actually have specific criteria that we use the
drones for, essentially, and we have it written in into
our policy that we met with the ACLU of Texas
to kind of come up with our policy and what
we would respond for.
Speaker 3 (01:31:00):
So stuff like.
Speaker 18 (01:31:01):
Crashes in progress, crimes, burglary staffs, person crimes, and we
also use them for essentially any sort of call that
an aerial view might provide situational awareness or additional information
(01:31:22):
until officers can arrive on scene.
Speaker 19 (01:31:24):
How does the.
Speaker 5 (01:31:25):
Public respond to this? Have you lost any drones people
taking potshots at them or are they complaining at all?
Speaker 18 (01:31:32):
No, we haven't had any complaints with the drones, and
if anyone listening has concerns about that, I would highly
advise don't take potshots. That's a federal violation because drones
are considered aircrafts.
Speaker 3 (01:31:47):
How expensive A proposition is that I don't know how
many drones you all have in Paarland, but I'm thinking
they're not particularly cheap to buy and you probably have
to train somebody to run them, don't you.
Speaker 18 (01:31:57):
Correct? Yes, So it depends on the solution that you use.
For DFR purposes Drones first responder. We are utilizing the
DJI DOC ones, which run about thirty thousand dollars each.
That includes the drone. They have released the DOC two,
(01:32:19):
which is about half the price. And then there are
other companies that are coming out with their own solutions
as well.
Speaker 5 (01:32:24):
How high do they fly? And I would assume that
these are not armed drones of any sense?
Speaker 7 (01:32:32):
Correct?
Speaker 18 (01:32:32):
Yes, federal law prohibits drones from being armed, and so
they're not armed. The only thing they have on them
is a camera. And for our purposes we fly we
have a max height of two hundred feet.
Speaker 3 (01:32:48):
Okay, so you have the camera on board. I'm thinking
this comes in pretty handy. Let's say, for example, you
have a burglary and process and patrol officer is too
far away to get there quick, but you can dispatch
the drone there in the very least get photographic evidence
of who might be responsible for the crime. Correct, And
(01:33:09):
a lot of times it's getting there and then being
able to follow that person until the officers to get there,
and we can provide real time information on Hey, this guy,
he just ran down in the street. He's hiding behind
this bush and similar.
Speaker 5 (01:33:24):
How much does it increase your efficiency? Can you can
you put a number on it?
Speaker 6 (01:33:28):
Do you think.
Speaker 32 (01:33:30):
So?
Speaker 18 (01:33:31):
Our response times with the drone is the mean and
median are right around three minutes, and that includes the
about one minute takeoff time sequence that has to go.
It goes through first, which our response times are Priority one.
(01:33:53):
Our highest priority calls for a manned officer response is
about four minutes, and then priority too is about five
to six minutes. And so even on our highest priority calls,
we're getting there with the drone about a minute before
officers get there.
Speaker 3 (01:34:13):
Just out of curiosity. Do you see at any point
in time that this might have a traffic violation sort
of implication? In other words, where you can actually have
a drone that can monitor the speed of vehicle that
it sees speeding and record the evidence and in the
license plate number and you can just send people tickets.
Speaker 18 (01:34:32):
Oh no, absolutely not, especially for our purposes. We like,
like I said, we met with the ACLU and we
drafted specific circumstances which we will fly this drone for
for this purpose. And then also kind of butts up
against Texas government Code for twenty three which only allows
(01:34:54):
for recording images or video with drones for very specific purposes.
Speaker 3 (01:35:00):
It'll be interesting to see how this all works out
for all of our local departments.
Speaker 5 (01:35:03):
Must be brave new world it is.

You are no Houston's News.
Speaker 26 (01:36:26):
Why they're traffic plus Breaking News twenty four to seven.
This is News Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 27 (01:36:32):
Trive Everywhere with the IRF.
Speaker 2 (01:36:35):
More of what's happening now from the Sean Morris Services Studios.
Speaker 3 (01:36:39):
It is seven thirty here on Houston's Morning News. I'm
Jimmy Barrett Long with Sheriff Fryar Monger top stories this
half hour. Most Democrats don't have traditional American values. You
can't get to NED zero if you don't know what
NED zero is. And coming up at seven thirty eight
commercial real estate, it's in real trouble. Details in the
minutes ahead, you're in Houston's Morning News. First, we're checking
(01:37:00):
out that morning drive once again. Here is sky Mike.
Speaker 4 (01:37:02):
We've ran into a little bad luck on this Friday
the thirteenth, two forty nine southbound at nineteen sixte it's
a vehicle fire. We'll take up a right lane. They're
just about to clear that. I still see some breaks
around Cyprus Wood. Stay the course, that's getting better. Nord Freeway,
some bit of a spackle around west Mount Houston. And
look at that east text elevated. It's awful from equipment
(01:37:22):
down through the canyon. You're trying to make the Med Center.
It's nineteen extra minute southbound. I'm Skymike on the classic
Elite GMC traffic Center.
Speaker 3 (01:37:30):
Got's Friday the thirteenth. That's usually my lucky Dads from
our KTRH Generator super Center and twenty four hour weathers
under sunny, in hot with a height today right about
ninety five. We'll get you the complete forecast with Terry
Smith that the Weather Channel in nine minutes right now
sixty eight at your official severe weather station, News Radio
seven forty k TRH. It's time now for the news.
Here's Sheryff Fryer.
Speaker 5 (01:37:50):
It's now seven thirty two on news Radio seven forty KTRH.
Our top story this hour the American culture. New polling
from Pew Research claims fifty eight percent of Republicans view
themselves as traditional, but only nineteen percent of Democrats would
say the same thing.
Speaker 15 (01:38:07):
So what does this sharp divide mean for the election voters?
Speaker 28 (01:38:10):
Whether or not they identify as traditional or not, they
do care about those common denominator issues like the economy
and life order security.
Speaker 15 (01:38:19):
Political consultant Catherine Fraser told KTRH, this is creating a
problem for the Democrats.
Speaker 28 (01:38:24):
I would argue that Democrats failure to focus on those
traditional values will actually hurt them in the long run.
Speaker 29 (01:38:31):
That's kind of what this election will decide.
Speaker 15 (01:38:33):
Fraser says that traditional or not, Americans can see that
Harris has made things like the economy and the border worse.
Ethan Buchanan News Radio seven forty KRH, but.
Speaker 5 (01:38:42):
They continue the lawfair against Trump. But a Georgia judge
now dismissing two of the criminal counts against Donald Trump
in the Fulton County election interference case. The judge, Scott
McAfee has said the Well County prosecutors don't have authority
to bring federal election charge against the former president. Judge
McAfee does allow the rest of the eight charges to remain,
(01:39:05):
though the case is on hold because of separate court
actions around the da Fani Willis and her issues with
hiring her boyfriend in the prosecution. Trump hit the campaign
trail in Tucson, Arizona, yesterday, vowing to reduce the cost
of our energy.
Speaker 6 (01:39:21):
As president, I will end the Harris Biden Warren American
Energy on day one and under.
Speaker 19 (01:39:26):
My plan, it is my goal to cut your.
Speaker 6 (01:39:29):
Energy costs by fifty percent in the first year.
Speaker 5 (01:39:33):
And in a post on True Social the former president
said polls show he won Tuesday's debate run by ABC,
he says there will be no more debates. Vice President
Kamala Harris returned to the trail with two events in
North Carolina, per usual, bashing the former president instead of
talking about policy.
Speaker 9 (01:39:55):
Donald Trump is not fit to be president of the
United States.
Speaker 5 (01:40:01):
One policy we do know Kamala Harris plans to push those.
Part of her agenda, It's why she won't talk about
it is net zero, zero carbon emissions by the year
twenty fifty. Brent Bennett with the Texas Public Policy Foundation
says her real goal destroy oil and gas.
Speaker 30 (01:40:20):
They're going to try to do as much as they
can within the limits of what they can get through
the courts. The real goal is incrementalism. It's not that
these net zero goals lacks to the achieved. It's just
tightening the news on our energy sector.
Speaker 5 (01:40:32):
Gradually, He adds, energy will become unaffordable for Americans if
Democrats continue to push their Green New Deal, its control
and redistribution of wealth, folks. Republicans keeping the Save Act
inside the Secure Election of just secure elections as part
of a larger government spending package that's in the House
(01:40:53):
right now. The Save Act requires proof of citizenship to
register to vote. Texas Congressman Chip Royce said, well, that's
just common sense.
Speaker 14 (01:41:03):
Non citizens will vote in the twenty twenty four election
because our system not only makes it easy to do
but incentivize is doing so.
Speaker 18 (01:41:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:41:11):
Democrats say though no, they're not going to uphold the
Save Act and they will oppose any funding build that
includes it. Current government funding though non essential services expires
at the end of this month. We learned that it's
not just the gen zs who are struggling to find
employment and this Biden Harris regime economy.
Speaker 31 (01:41:33):
Some even from gen X, who are more than qualified
for a position, aren't heering back from employers and are
even filing hundreds of applications.
Speaker 32 (01:41:40):
A lot of businesses will post for open jobs that
people will apply to and they'll get a collection of resumes,
but there's really no job open.
Speaker 3 (01:41:46):
They're not continued to hire anybody.
Speaker 31 (01:41:48):
Associate professor of economics at Lone Star College University, Park
kank Lewis says, sometimes applicants aren't getting a response from
a real person.
Speaker 32 (01:41:56):
Recruiters and a lot of HR departments and they have
job postings they are using AI to filter through different
kinds of resumes.
Speaker 31 (01:42:03):
This is also making people reconsider the legitimacy of their
college degree. Ar Lewis, News Radio seven forty keachrh.
Speaker 5 (01:42:10):
This failing economy of this regime uncertainty about the election,
how it turns out, has potential home buyers holding off
until after the November dust settles. Econos vance Gin says
that interest rates inflation have people stuck in place, and
even a Trump win may not fix all this immediately.
Speaker 34 (01:42:30):
Those are the types of things that people are dealing
with within their own budgets every month, and you can't
just undo that no matter which administration that comes in
in January.
Speaker 3 (01:42:40):
It's going to take some time to start to write this.
Speaker 5 (01:42:43):
Yeah, he says, maybe six months to a year of
Trump policies to fix the problem, if you can hold on.
Coming up on seven thirty seven now, the Houston Texas
play the Chicago Bears home openers Sunday night. Here repairs
continuing the Energy Stadium from Hurricane Baryl damage to the
roof tiles there won't be fully fixed until the end
(01:43:04):
of September. Quarterback CJ Stroud, Well, he's not getting too
caught up in all this excitement. He's focused.
Speaker 35 (01:43:12):
I really don't get into the hoopline, away crowd, home crowd,
not really don't mind. Just try to ask you and
do my game, do what I need to do at
a high level.
Speaker 5 (01:43:22):
Kick off seven twenty pm. Stro's got a sixt re
win over the Oakland Ace yesterday to avoid this sweep,
and so traveling out west to take on the Angels
in Anaheim tonight. Our live coverage here on KTRH begins
at seven thirty pm. I'm Sherbert Fryar on news Radio
seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 3 (01:43:41):
Need some drainage work, Daniel Dean land clearing and dirt
work two eight, one, three, five six dirt.
Speaker 21 (01:43:47):
I live in sugar Land.
Speaker 3 (01:43:48):
Be prepared for wild Houston weather next on the ten
on seven forty KTRH. And by the office, I mean
office buildings that includes Houston and any other pretty much
major city and even some smaller cities across America because
there's a lot of space and a lot of empty buildings.
Not I don't think we really have an empty building
(01:44:09):
problem that much here in Houston and places in New
York City have tons of vacant buildings. Stuart Varney on
his Fox Business show is talking to Agency founder and
CEO Mauricio Yuransky about what's going on with office real estate,
and he didn't sound like things are going to get
better real soon.
Speaker 44 (01:44:26):
We're in for a deep recession in the office values.
They're just going to continue to plumb it. We're going
to continue to see tremendous vacancies increasing. You know, really
what we need to do is we need to figure
out what to do with the office building. And I
think that's really the big question.
Speaker 27 (01:44:41):
What do we do with that? Right?
Speaker 44 (01:44:42):
Well, we need to convert it into housing. We have
a tremendous housing shortage in the country. We need to
figure out how to convert the office into housing. The
problem is that these office buildings are very difficult to
convert into housing, right So government subsidies need to be
taking effect, the tax breaks need to be taking effects.
Speaker 3 (01:44:59):
We need to lower the interest rate. There's a bunch
of stuff that we need to do to stimulate developers
and owners.
Speaker 27 (01:45:05):
Zoning.
Speaker 44 (01:45:05):
Check out the zoning laws in order to take these
buildings that are just sitting there.
Speaker 41 (01:45:09):
Veins well to a massive shift in regulation and taxation
policy that takes a long long time.
Speaker 44 (01:45:15):
Precisely why we're not going to see office buildings and
prices go up and increase and start seeing you know,
vacancy's decreased. We're going to see this hit hitting the
banking industry. We're going to see defaults and loans. We're
going to see all kinds of different problems that occur
because of this.
Speaker 7 (01:45:30):
And is it really because of remote work people?
Speaker 4 (01:45:33):
I mean the office buildings around here in midtown Manhattan,
they're half empty because people work from home.
Speaker 3 (01:45:39):
Remote work.
Speaker 44 (01:45:40):
The pandemic changed the way we do all everything, right
from the perspective of where do we work, how do
we work, the way we work, our efficiencies levels, all
of those things that took us home.
Speaker 3 (01:45:51):
We had a tremendous.
Speaker 44 (01:45:54):
Low interest rate that brought us home, made us buy
better properties. We looked at the you know, home off says,
we increased it and so our behavior changed.
Speaker 3 (01:46:02):
Okay, yeah, well listen, does anybody else smell bail out
bill out coming?
Speaker 27 (01:46:09):
Boy?
Speaker 5 (01:46:09):
Do I feel that coming? It's all about the banks,
the people holding the notes.
Speaker 3 (01:46:14):
Yep, exactly, And the banks will go to the federal
government and they'll want federal subsidies to turn office buildings
into houses.
Speaker 5 (01:46:20):
About the banks who actually trust the banks to handle their.
Speaker 3 (01:46:23):
Money exactly right. Seven, Time for traffic and weather to government.
Speaker 4 (01:46:31):
Yeah, let's get our big boss Eddie Martinez off the
West part, Jimmy Barrett, because I'm just seeing a big
spackle here around Foundering. Eddie takebel air instant. I got
backups now before that from Highway six. So big shots
with the toll stickers, you're looking at twelve extra minutes
on the inbound. That's before you even get to the Beltway.
Rest of our advisors, Katie Freeway, You're not bad. You're
(01:46:51):
a little thick around Eldridge if that not too ninety
up anywhere we're rocking along Westloop. You're going down to uptown.
Speaker 3 (01:46:58):
Does that make sense?
Speaker 4 (01:46:59):
We're back to from two ninety down to Post Ouk.
You lose about six minutes this way south side two
eighty eight. It's breaks at the Beltway and you've got
the toll bridge now all spackled up. That's an extra
sixteen minutes trying to get to two twenty five. And
we'll check your Grand Parkway at the seven fifty break. Oh,
let's go to a quick tip line. No, I'll do
(01:47:19):
that at the seven fifty and we'll check your Grand Parkway.
Big shots, by the way, Terry, Happy Friday the thirteenth.
Let's go hang out at a summer camp place on
a leg. Well, you know what we'll bring Jason from Alvin.
Speaker 3 (01:47:31):
What could go wrong? Take a stab at it for
fucking trh. Yeah, Lord Ed Mercy from mar Katirah Generator
super Centary twenty four. Our weather center, Terry Smith is here.
It is Friday the thirteenth. I think we got lucky
with this forecast.
Speaker 5 (01:47:45):
I'm feeling lucky. I mean, look at this weather.
Speaker 24 (01:47:48):
I love it.
Speaker 20 (01:47:49):
I love that it's the weekend and we're sunny and dry,

Speaker 5 (01:47:58):
All we can look not just folks, we won the lottery,
all right, load of.
Speaker 20 (01:48:02):

But there'll be a few places in the upper nineties.
And there's no rain Monday or Tuesday, and temperatures are
still feeling like summertime.

why's the southwest for you?
Speaker 10 (01:48:40):
Way's so bad?
Speaker 4 (01:48:41):
Because you know Doug Pike talks like that. Inbound we've
got breaks now from he'llcroft, do you lose about six
or seven minutes on the inbound to eighty eight there's
the breaks from the Beltway. You've done a great job,
Jason from Albourne. I'm not running to do anybody. We
look good and once you pass Forum south Book. We
haven't recovered from the earlier record, Scott. We're still backed
up westbound going that way from Makawa, and the official

Speaker 4 (01:49:05):
I'll tell them to take it off their screen and
your navigation will show that.

of our top Friday morning stories here Sharon seven.
Speaker 5 (01:49:34):
Fifty two now on news radio seven forty KTRH. These
headlines are sponsored by Texas Mutual Insurance. Vladimir Putin says
NATO is escalating the tensions with Russia, leading us to war.
America and Britain are discussing allowing Ukraine to use NATO weapons,
that's American weapons to strike targets inside Russia. Hi Putin
(01:49:55):
says that would change the very nature of this conflict.
New bank rate report on the upcoming holiday shopping season
says one third of shoppers will spend less each year,
four and ten will be holding steady. If you have
a fear of Friday the thirteenth, the word is eleven
syllables and a nightmare. Just spell pariscavia, pariscavida, katriaphobia. That
(01:50:20):
is fear of Friday the thirteenth, Okay, or you could
suffer triskadekaphobia.
Speaker 3 (01:50:24):
That's easier to say, that is.
Speaker 5 (01:50:26):
Fear of the number thirteen, Latest news anytime kturah dot com.
Our next update is at eight am.
Speaker 2 (01:50:35):
I live in clear Lake, Humble, reliable kt RH traffic
and weather.
Speaker 27 (01:50:40):
Next on the ten.
Speaker 3 (01:50:44):
We've seen so many changes in how Democrats and Republicans
feel about a traditional what you know, a traditional American dream.
Republicans still connected to that ideal.
Speaker 5 (01:50:54):
Much less being able to afford it.
Speaker 3 (01:50:55):
Right, Democrats not so much. Kevin o'leurry was talking a
little bit about that when he was talking game about
Kamala Harrison her tax programs, because he seems to think
that her tax programs would destroy the American dream.
Speaker 45 (01:51:05):
There's multiple effects that we have to worry about. First
of all, the personal ones obviously, and taxes will go
up with her proposals, and.
Speaker 7 (01:51:13):
She's admitting that she's not denying it.
Speaker 45 (01:51:15):
I mean, that's a debate that's going on in terms
of the classic make the rich pay their fair share.
That's a narrative that goes into every single election cycle.
Speaker 7 (01:51:25):
Now, the more concerning one for the economy.
Speaker 45 (01:51:28):
Not just personal taxes, is corporate tax rates that at
her proposed twenty eight percent would put the US economy
in an uncompetitive position.
Speaker 7 (01:51:39):
Last time we did this to ourselves.
Speaker 45 (01:51:41):
We started to see dislocation of headquarters moving to places
like Ireland and other lower tax jurisdictions that we shouldn't do.
That's a mistake for either party. That's a huge mistake.
We're right in the middle right now in the G
seven G twenty. So if all of a sudden we
start charging twenty eight corporate tax rates plus add on
state in some cases you're in the thirties and that's
(01:52:04):
just not competitive anymore in terms of the G twenty
or G seven, that would that's to me the most
horrific outcome, and I'm very nervous about that.
Speaker 7 (01:52:12):
The uncertainty is what we're all worried about.
Speaker 45 (01:52:14):
I mean, you know, we all have to work regardless
of who's in the White House come November sixth, and
so we'd like to get some idea of policy.
Speaker 7 (01:52:21):
This is a policy light election.
Speaker 45 (01:52:23):
I'm disappointed that Harris doesn't give us more policy.
Speaker 7 (01:52:25):
Specifically on taxes, specifically on corporate taxes. I need to
know that, so does everybody else. Remember, this is the.
Speaker 45 (01:52:32):
Number one economy on Earth, the American economy. Fifty percent
of capital invested worldwide comes here. We don't want to
do anything to change that. And the number one export
of America is not a product or service.
Speaker 7 (01:52:48):
It's the American dream. There's a reason people are willing
to risk their lives to come here. We don't want
to do anything to change that.
Speaker 45 (01:52:56):
And that's why I'm so concerned about tax policy on
capital formation.
Speaker 7 (01:53:00):
The higher you raise corporate taxes, the harder it is.
Speaker 45 (01:53:03):
To create capital opportunity. And that's what I'm worried about.
The American dream is at stake. Everybody should think about that.
Everybody that has what's kept this economy going for over
two hundred years.
Speaker 7 (01:53:15):
It is a number one export.
Speaker 3 (01:53:17):
Number one export is the American dream. And we're about
ready to cancel the export. That doesn't bode well, does
it for the economy?
Speaker 18 (01:53:24):
Well?
Speaker 3 (01:53:24):
On that thought, Happy weekend.
Speaker 5 (01:53:27):
Happy Friday the thirteenth, Do you put the hecks on it?
Speaker 27 (01:53:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:53:31):
Watch where you're going today? We'll see all bright and
early Monday morning at five am, I'll see this after
a four on AM nine fifty KPRC Monday,
