Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yeah, Well, the in crowd says get out and vote
in crowd. Fact that the incrowd has already voted most
of them, or they will vote before the week is over.
Early voting going very well, big turnouts, especially for Republicans,
We're told Matt Locke joins US host and Republican strategists.
It looks like the message has gotten through to Republican voters. Matt,
get out and vote early. Well, yeah, we just don't

(00:22):
know anymore.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
With elections and election day and seeing stories of maybe
mass shootings and election polls and in attacks and things
going wrong, people are ready to vote. They're ready to vote,
they want to vote, and they're really tired of where
we're at right now.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
We had quite a debacle here in the midterms in
Harris County and went to great links to try to
straighten things out, and so far we are reporting fairly
smooth operations. I witnessed it myself yesterday. I voted yesterday.
A lot of election poll watchers are we seeing with
these types of turns now? Is are we seeing lots

(01:01):
of election poll watchers in other states too? Or is
it as lopsided as it used to be?

Speaker 2 (01:08):
No? I think the RNC has done a very good
job of getting people not only energized, but there to watch,
to help to move along the situation. I'm up here
in fort We're same thing. I voted early yesterday. You've
got eight or ten people at the polls. Things went smoothly.
People are getting in and out, and the lines are crazy.

(01:28):
I mean, we had a four block line yesterday in Benbrook,
which is is weird as it happens. I've been in
Texas for almost a decade.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Let me ask you this because we don't we know
a lot of Republicans are turning out early. We don't
necessarily know what type of Republicans they are. Are the
never Trumpers motivated to turn out and vote early the
way the Trump supporters are, I.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Don't think so, and I don't think Democrats are either.
It's interesting watching all of these numbers come back from Virginia, Florida.
We've got some states that are voting early in now Nevada,
and we're seeing something really interesting. The mail in vote
is way down. It's off by about thirty forty percent,

(02:11):
which is not unusual. There's no COVID, but the Democrat
support is way down. They're not motivated to show up.
And then the other thing that's happening that we're not
even looking at that we can't really even put a
number two yet is the minority vote. I'm seeing polls
that Trump is gaining anywhere from fifty to fifty five
percent of Latinos and maybe as high as thirty or

(02:33):
forty percent of African Americans. So we don't know how
those numbers are going to fall, but we do know
that that Democrats are not showing up in the numbers
that they have normally showed up in.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Why is it Arran County is not reporting how many
their daily totals? Why is it so late? We're having
a hard time trying to give a statewide total because
Arran and Dallas Counties are lagging.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
What's that all about?

Speaker 2 (02:56):
See, I don't know, and I've asked the same thing
over the last couple of days. They gave a total
number of Colin and tarrn in Dallas, in up here
in Detton County, but we only got a big total.
We're not getting totals out of Tarrant or Dallas, and
I don't know why. I don't know if they can
or they don't want to or they're not wanting to
give away the story. I had seen on first day

(03:17):
where we had broke the record. I think it was
one hundred and seventy seven and twenty twenty, and this
year it was one hundred ninety five. So we are
up and voting here in those four counties.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Okay, we'll see what happens. Matt Locke, thank you, appreciate it.
