Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, you know, Roger, every six years a senator comes
up for election, so there's changeover and there's a lot
of new faces, a lot of new Republican faces in
this new Senate. Ye have fifty three seats, so they're
guaranteed the majority. Joining us to talk about that in
the big vote coming up this morning is red raiz Nurs,
a form Us Senate candidate. Let's start with the election

(00:21):
results first read. Were you pleasantly surprised that they gathered
fifty three seats or were you hoping for even more?

Speaker 2 (00:28):
And what an amazing night for America. Fifty three is
a good number. We can always use more. It would
have been it would have been great to have more.
But the sunshine on our shoulders felt good on Wednesday morning,
I can tell you that. And across the country Republicans
won overwhelmingly. It was such a mandate with President Trump,
not only the popular vote, but the electoral vote, and

(00:51):
then the Senate fifty three seats and we're hoping we
take the House here, so hopefully those votes get in
quick so we can we can find out what's happening
in the House.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
They're finally starting to call the House race looks like
it's going to be two nineteen or thereabouts, so that
will be controlled of the House, the Senate, and the
White House. You better get some stuff done, right, well,
they better get.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Some stuff done. We had two well really two years
before our next election cycle, so we have two years
to get President Trump's agenda legislated and gave the wheels
moving and get him greased to really make an impact
for Americans and America finally. So it's a very exciting
time that we're on and the horizon that's great for us.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
There are three candidates that are going to get voted
on today to become the new Senate majority leader. You've
got Rick Scott, John Thune, and John Cornyn. We know
John Cornyn very well. He let's just say he's not
a very conservative Republican. In fact, when he ran last
time for the Senate, he didn't even list himself as
a Republican in his television ads. So I'm guessing that

(01:51):
would not be Trump's first choice to be the Senate
majority leader.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
No, President Trump is backing as well as I riched
to be our next Senate majority leader. And you know,
a vote for Rick Scott is going to end the
terrible anti Trump era in the United States Senate and Congress.
That is terrible Mitch McConnell era. When we look at
Thoon or even Cornyn, it's going to just be a

(02:16):
continuation of Mitch McConnell and Liz Cheney. I'm from Wyoming,
so it's a really great diptick here. We can compare
the two. It's time to end that and get someone
in there that will push through President Trump's agenda and
champion that American First agenda. And Rick Scott's the guy
to do that. I'm a firm believer.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Well, I think he's probably the favorite. John Thune seems
to have picked up at least a little bit of support.
I don't think John Cornyn is going to have any
luck getting that position at all. But do you expect
this to happen today? Do you expect it to happen
on the first vote? How long do you think it's
going to take to make this choice?

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Well, I hope they can get it together. I hope
this isn't a speaker of the health situation. I hope
they can get behind a candidate Rick, they can champion him.
We can get behind President Trump and his agenda. You know,
President Trump won with a massive mandate across the country,
so I think they can't take President Trump's pick lightly.

(03:11):
So I hope we get it done in the first vote.
I hope it's quick, easy, and over. And I would
say America is watching the United States Senate today. I
know Wyoming is certainly watching our delegation, and I'll bet
you Texas is watching their delegation. So we're watching the
United States Senate, and I hope they make us proud
because we sent them there, and we re elected or
elected them to do a job, and we elected President

(03:34):
Trump overwhelmingly to get the job done. So let's get
Rick Scott in there and let's get business moving forward.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
All right, Reed, thanks for joining us this morning. Good
to talk to you, raid Reed Raisner rather former US
Senate candidate. It is seven twenty six
