Speaker 1 (00:00):
Seven, twenty three is our time here in Houston's Warning News.
I'd be a little fraid to go into the men's
room in Los Angeles, especially in certain places. I'm not
sure what you might find in there. Jonathan Science joins
US president the Texas Values sci Fair has adopted a
policy limiting students to bathrooms corresponding to their biological sex.
Will Dan Patrick bring his bathroom bill back? What do
(00:23):
you think?
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Well, look, there's a lot of activity here on this
issue around the state. Two days ago, the City Council
Odessa passed a similar ordinance like the one in Syfair,
making it clear that it's the biological sex on your
birth certificate nearest birth that decides if you go in
the men's room the women's room, and this applies to
showers and locker rooms. Look, we know Riley Gaines not
(00:47):
only was she forced to compete against a man in
the women's division in swimming, but that man, that male student,
that college student, went into her locker room and completely
stripped down naked in front of her and other girls.
And so this is a growing concern and women have
had enough. I mean, this is happening in domestic violent
(01:09):
shelters and women's shelters where men women go to escape
threats from men, and you have men who claim that
they're women going into those shelters, so it's gone too far.
But look, you've got Carolias d Up in the Dallas
Fort Worth area, kellorized d who've passed policies. But then
you've got some other cities who are trying to pass
(01:29):
ones like Houston tried to do, you know, almost ten
years ago, to force businesses to allow men into the
women's restrooms. So you know, there's more activity on this.
So there's no surprise that there's already been a bill
filed by Mas Middleton making it clear that we go
by biological sex. This is called the Women's and Children's
Privacy and Safety Protection Bill, you know, that way we
(01:51):
can have a consistent standard across the state, because you know,
look at used to not be an issue. It was
common sense. But now that you've got the you know,
the left wing extreme liberal trans activists that are trying
to force people to accept these gender ideology issues and
political stances. But also they're trying to create confusion on
(02:13):
these issues. So people are worried, oh, I shouldn't say
anything if a man goes into women's restroom because I
might get canceled or someone might follow a lawsuit against me.
This makes everything real clear in state laws. So no
surprise of bills already been filed in the legislature realizes
it's a growing problem and it needs a solution.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
The timing is interesting. I have to wonder if that's
sort of election related. Yo. You have all those happening
right around the presidential election, and I think some of
these school systems, who probably wanted to do this for
a while, felt embolden because they could see what was
going on with the electric how people felt about all
this woke nonsense.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
Well, there's no question that the landslide overwhelming victory of
Donald Trump is going to allow a climate where common
sense prevails more and people aren't worried about the ACLU
and other left wing activists that are going to be
emboldened by a Biden Department of Justice. You know the
(03:09):
lawfare that's been going on, because that's what the Department
of Justice, the federal level has been doing under Biden
and in Obama. They try to force our school districts
to allow the boys into the girls showers. And locker
rooms and bathrooms and threatened a lot of school districts
that they didn't. Thankfully, federal courts have said the Biden
rules on this are not legal. We're not forcing schools
(03:30):
to do this in Texas. And now that you're going
to have a change with the presidency, it will allow
school districts to more do what's best for their local
school district. Let common sense prevail, and hopefully we'll see
a lot of these things get resolved. But you know,
you're always going to have the other side that's going
to try to spind the issue. They're going to try
to spread misinformation on this. But I think people can
(03:52):
see this real clear now. And you've got Ted Cruz
won a landslide victory, if not a very strong victory,
almost ten point victory in the state of Texas. And
you've got a lot of Democrats that are leaving the
Democratic Party because of issues like this, including the issues
where they use tax dollars on sex change operations on kids.
(04:15):
So a lot of Democrats are saying we're done with that,
We're moving to the Republican Party.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
All right, Jonathan, Thanks as always appreciate President of the Texas
Values Jonathan Science,
