Speaker 1 (00:01):
Number twenty three. Now Here in Houston's Morning Knows, Jeffrey
Lord joins US political commentator. We saw an interesting story
in Breitbart, Jeffrey about Joe Biden's plans to cement his
legacy through land protections, clemency, and AI in his final weeks.
What are you hearing about what Biden has up his
sleeve here some of the things he might do before
Trump takes office.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Oh, I think we may see some more pardons and communications.
I'm curious as to whether or not, Brother Jim, we'll
get one of those along the way here and anybody
else that sort of strikes his fancy. I mean, if
we've learned anything here, it is that Joe Biden is
(00:41):
a pretty self centered guy and it's going to do
what he thinks is always good for Joe Biden, and
in this case, that means doing things that will mark
him in the history book in his view as a
great president. I think that causes long since left.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
The Yeah, I was gonna say, the one legacy I
think he has cemented is going down as the worst
history of worst American president in history.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
You know, I did a piece on this the other day,
and you know I've been reading about presidents all my
life and worked for one that would be President Reagan.
And wow, you know, James Buchanan from nearby Leicester from
where I am here, Leicester, Pennsylvania is generally known as
(01:31):
the one before Lincoln. He was pretty bad. And the
other one that gets very low marks is Warren Harding,
the Republican president who was elected in nineteen twenty. And
Old Warren had a group of rascals around him known
(01:53):
as the Ohio Gang. And one of the things they
did he had, as Secretary of the Interior, off private
naval oil reserves in various parts of the country to
companies where he got a profit. And I believe I'm
correct that Old Albert Fall, Secretary the Interior, is the
(02:16):
only cabinet member to go to prison.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Wow. You know, it seems it seems though that you
can kind of call his bluff, for example, on this
on the wall, the border wall that he was going
to sell off in Arizona. I mean, everybody raised such
a stink about that, and they got so much negative
attention that evidently they backed off on doing that.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
Now, well one would hope, so, I mean, the hypocrisy
on this kind of thing you know, if you've ever
seen pictures of his beach house in Delaware once out
front a wall. I mean, you can't make this stuff up.
And you know what he's looking to do is be
(03:01):
a stinker towards his elected successor and anything he can
do to to make life difficult for President Trump.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
He's also being a stinker to Nancy Pelosi. Did you
hear what he had to say about, you know, trying
to enact an acts so that Congress cannot buy or
self stock during during their terms, clearly directed in Nancy Pelosi.
He doesn't, He doesn't think it's right. Doesn't know how
you can look somebody in the eye and and and
explain to people how you have enriched yourself with his
(03:34):
government job that you have. I mean, you want to
talk about the pot calling the kettle black. The whole
Biden family has been enriched by his presidency.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
Yeah. Yeah, And he has an act to grind with
her because I think she played a significant role in
getting him not to run again, and I don't think
she will ever be forgiven by either Joe or the
Biden plan for that.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
No, probably not to talk to you, as always, Jeffrey, Lord,
have a Merry Christmas, thanks for joining us. That's political
commentator Jeffrey Lord
