Speaker 10 (02:45):

The lawmakers is Texas Congressman Chip.

Speaker 13 (03:27):
Roy, because I mean, honestly, we're not getting our money's worth,

Speaker 6 (04:02):
It's five h four.

Speaker 7 (04:03):
Federal judge denies an emergency motion from the Associated Press
to restore its access to White House press events. The
Trump administration pulled it because the outlet continues to call
the Gulf by its old name and not the Gulf
of America. A recent U Golf poll shows that more
Americans trust the Trump administration than the mainstream media so

(04:25):
why is mainstream media dying?

Speaker 14 (04:27):
It doesn't occur to a lot of them that certain
facts are worth including and are pertinent. One of their
single base reasons why the media trust has plummeted is
biased by a mission.

Speaker 7 (04:38):
Curtis Hawck with NewsBusters says that while the mainstream media
has lied and deceived Americans for years, Trump has earned
their trust by being transparent. As the President continues to
drain the swamp, will big tech censorship be next on
his list of targets?

Speaker 15 (04:54):
Ninety eight federal agencies were told to silence Americans during
the Biden years, but times are.

Speaker 16 (05:00):
Andrew Ferguson is now the chairman of the Federal Trade
Commission and he has made it a priority to root
out the censorship.

Speaker 15 (05:07):
Dan Schneider the Media Research Center says big tech is
learning how to work with Trump, and the FTC crackdown
has only just begun.

Speaker 16 (05:15):
The Federal Trade Commission will enforce the law, our consumer
protection laws and that sort of thing, and go after
these big tech firms if they continue to silence us.

Speaker 15 (05:24):
He says, this administration will help restore our rights to
free speech. Andrei Berrard News Radio seven forty KTR eight.

yet another thing AI can do. Make it easier for
your boss to watch you work.

Speaker 18 (06:03):

twenty three, the use of employee surveillance software grew by
fifty four percent. Dan It's not just outdoor security cams by.

Speaker 19 (06:14):
It, he shoke loggers via even cameras that track whether
their highs are going off the screen or not.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
So this really isn't anything new.

Speaker 19 (06:22):
AI is taking a lot of the guestwork out of it.

Speaker 18 (06:24):
Marketing consultant Peter Shankman adds that AI can't help improve
areas of productivity, but it could be at a cost
to morale. Fifty six percent of employees reported increased tension
due to workplace tracking Eric Jarp News Radio seven forty ktra.

Speaker 6 (06:38):

Speaker 2 (07:12):
B informed be on time. Houston's morning News continues with Jimmy.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
Verrett on phone. Have you seen the memes that are
going around five things you know, government employee Actually actually
it's a SpongeBob meme. You know, five things things things
I did last week like cried over cried over Trump,

(07:39):
cried over musk. You know, those were two things, and
then I forget what some of the other ones were.
But the the the list all was about, you know,
complaining about having to fill out the list. It didn't
actually list any accomplishments. I think the thing to remember
about the about the whole elon musing. I think that

(08:00):
thing is completely misunderstood. And I guess that doesn't surprise me,
because we got to remember. These are federal employees we're
talking about here, right. They don't work in the real world.
They don't work in the private sector. They don't don't
understand what life is like in a big corporation. In
big corporations where you have thousands upon thousands of employees,

(08:21):
this evidently is not an unusual exercise to send out
an email like this. They want to try to find
It's a great way to try to find out who
is actually reading their emails number one, who is actually
on the job number two, And if they're working from home,
who's actually checking into their emails and doing something from

(08:42):
home other than goofing off. And that's really what this
is all about. They weren't. They didn't care what the
five things were. You could have said, picked my nose,
scratched my ass, you could come up with a whole
list of things. The fact that you responded to the
email means that you are alive and that you exist

(09:03):
and you have a working email in that government agency
and that you actually work for them. There's a reason
why you get a paycheck. It may not be a
good reason, but at least there's a reason why you
get a paycheck. What they wanted to do and probably
what they still want to do and what may be
a little bit more difficult to do. With all the
publicity this is gotten because normally something like this wouldn't

(09:24):
get this kind of publicity. It tips people off who
are cheating the system, that the government is looking for
you and to find out if you're cheating the system.
But if you don't actually work for the government and
you are still somehow collecting a paycheck, if you're not
alive in working for the government, you're not going to
be able to respond. And those are the first people

(09:45):
you're going to look at. You may be a limited
be able to eliminate thousands of paychecks that people actually
don't work for the government anymore and no longer get
those emails. So that's what it is. It's not about
whether you're actually doing something productive. It's if you exist.
That's if you exist email, then they'll take it from there.
I think five to ten time for traffic and whether together.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
So that you're not one hundred and sixty four years old.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
Yes, there's social security if you're one hundred and sixty
four years old's coming.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
I went a government job.

Speaker 5 (10:12):
Let's go to two eighty eight, Jimmy Barrett, and they've
just cleared a stall truck at Yellowstone.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
That's out of the way. You can't tell it was there.

Speaker 5 (10:19):
Well, you can't tell a lot of things were there
because it's really tough to see. I noticed that this
morning driving in from the Ghetto House on the Hardy Bond,
I could see just about as far as my lights,
which which I know sounds like a Yogi Barrett thing.
But southbound, if you're coming down from the Hardy, now
we're in good shape.

Speaker 4 (10:36):
We're clear. But again, visibility is a thing, same thing
from the east.

Speaker 20 (10:40):
Text.

Speaker 5 (10:40):
I really want to hear from those of you out
in the sticks this morning. Cleveland splendor and new Canny
seven thank you seven one three, two one two t ips.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
And let's go up forty five. I will tell you
forty five.

Speaker 5 (10:52):
We have a stall at Tidwell and you may not
see him till last minute, So watch out and bound.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
It's a right Lane.

Speaker 20 (10:57):
Hey, good morning, I Mike, This is Jeff from Conrad.

Speaker 21 (11:01):
Boy, is it foggy?

Speaker 20 (11:02):
Visibility? Maybe two or three blocks?

Speaker 4 (11:05):
You're looking at it that layer. I'm gonna hear a
lot of that this morning. I'm Skymike, Oh the Generator
Supercenter dot Com traffics.

Speaker 3 (11:12):
I can't see two or three blocks with glass. That's
Terry over there, ill see past to be nearsighted. You
can't see anything no matter what from our katrh tom
tax Defenders twenty four where the sanitary is here, ball
Ball Gurley and fog around tomorrow too.

Speaker 4 (11:28):
I guess yeah.

Speaker 22 (11:29):
I suspect we'll see some fog here at least the
next two days, and then we've got a weak cold
front that'll maybe disrupt that possibility of fog for a
period of time.

Speaker 23 (11:41):
We'll see how long.

Speaker 22 (11:42):
But yeah, widespread fog across the area, and most places
are seeing visibility around a quarter of a mile, and
it may get even less before we start to get
the sun.

Speaker 23 (11:53):
To come up and kind of mix things out after
the fog clears.

Speaker 22 (11:57):
It's really going to be a very pleasant day sunshine,
upper sixties to low seventies today and tomorrow. We'll probably
go through the same drill. Cloud's early some fog and
then sunny, but it's warmer Tomorrow, mid to upper seventies.
Thursday just briefly cooler, looks cloudy but dry, near seventy
the high and then more sunshine, no rain Friday or Saturday,

(12:20):
and we'll start warming back up into the seventies for
Friday and Saturday.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
Yeh bit, you're right now forty eight did your official
severe weather station? News Radio seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
It's Houston's Morning News, brought to you by New South
Windows Solutions. Now back to Jimmy Barratt and the Houston
Morning News team all the info you need to take
on the day.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
It is five twenty now here in Houston's Morning News. Boy,
do I feel better today. I didn't really mention it
yesterday because I thought, well, I'll just get through it.
Nobody will notice anyway, hopefully, But I get so. I
don't know what it is. Is there a bug going
around right now that just kind of makes you really
super tired, gives you body aches, But you know you

(13:04):
don't have nausea or or head cold kind of a thing.
There must be not I even did something. I'm surprised.
I did not because I cared if I had COVID
or not. But I thought, well, we've got a COVID
test in the house, I'll go ahead and take it,
just just because it reminded me of the way I
felt after I had the second COVID vaccine. Yeah, I

(13:25):
was one of the dumbasses who did That's that's how
I felt after I had that second vaccine. But it
was negative. So whatever it is is just something that's
going around right now. Like I said, not enough to
you know, to keep you from making your appointed rounds,
just making you drag every so slowly. But today a
whole lot better. It's about if you get it. It

(13:47):
seemed to be about a two day deal Sunday and Monday,
and here it is Tuesday. I'm feeling a lot better.
So whatever it is, it seems to be of the
forty eight hour variety five twenty one time for traffic
and whether it's to.

Speaker 5 (13:58):
Get A year ago, I had COVID light or diet COVID,
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
It was like like like sugar free covid, yeah, pretty much.
And it was it was like tab of COVID. Oh
I never did you like Tab.

Speaker 24 (14:10):
No.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
It was like TAB and Fresco. No, you lose your
man car right there aftertast My mother was addicted to
Fresco for well, I don't I don't like anything diet.

Speaker 4 (14:20):
Let's let's put on your hard hats and go to
the east side.

Speaker 15 (14:22):
Here.

Speaker 4 (14:22):
I've got something in Jack City.

Speaker 5 (14:24):
It oh man, they're doing that work again at Federal
Road on the outbound, right in front of my gym.
And if you're heading through Jack City shiny wheels, you're
looking an extra two or three going outbound, not inbound.
Let's do some tip line. I got Steve from Burton.
He's way out on June ninety.

Speaker 25 (14:39):
Coming in and down through Brenham, coming through Chapel Hill.

Speaker 26 (14:42):
Looks like the Bob Mirley concert had noncore and visibility
is even worse today.

Speaker 5 (14:47):
All right, I see that things are pretty thick out there,
less than a quarter mile east.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
Text talk to me, I.

Speaker 9 (14:53):
Might work and Nick Yaney complete closure coming down from
nick Daney.

Speaker 20 (14:59):
Very bad fog. Everybody be careful, all right.

Speaker 5 (15:02):
That's not on the East tex itself. It's on forty five,
just east of New Caney. Will double check that and
if anybody else is up on that. You can take
me a picture safely, put it on my Facebook for
me Skymichael a Generator supercenter dot Com traffic center from
our KTRH top tax Defenders twenty four hour weather center,
fall Gurly becoming Sunday seventy two, Today fall Gurly, Tomorrow
becoming partly Klatte seventy eight, and then Thursday Claudie with

(15:25):
a high right about seventy.

Speaker 3 (15:27):
So we're staying drying. We're keeping warm right now forty
eight at your official some of your weather station. News
Radio seven forty k TRH timed out. Get you caught
up in some of our top stories on the Tuesday morning.
Here's Cliff.

Speaker 6 (15:39):
We'll call that.

Speaker 7 (15:40):
Crispy right Jimmy Headlines sponsored by Moro Mechanical. One of
the arrestmated Colony Ridge yesterday reportedly was an MS thirteen
gang member wanted for a murder that had been committed
just hours before law enforcement got there. An eight year
old girl is hitting killed after getting off a school
bus on the southwest Side. Police call it an AX.
And the latest chain restaurant to add an egg surcharge

(16:03):
to their bills is Denny's. So much for that Grand slam.
Cracker Barrel says they will not add the search charge.

Speaker 20 (16:12):
Okay, Cracker Barrel, I'll see you.

Speaker 7 (16:14):
Get the latest news anytime at KTIH dot com. It's
just better food there. Our next update is at five
point thirty.

Speaker 10 (16:20):
Every hour, something in our city, something's happened that shouldn't.

Speaker 4 (16:23):
Have checking in all day prepared.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
It's always something for anything on US Radio seven ktrh Oh, it's.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
Been fun watching the Joyraid reaction. Goodbye to you Joyraid.
More than that in the second. But first I feel
compelled to comment just a little bit on the egg
searchargs thing. Listen, I get it, that is the one
menu item right now. There's out of control, and it
costs a lot of money for restaurants to change their
menu prices. And if you're going to go in and
have to constantly change the menu price for eggs or

(16:58):
any egg dish, it just makes probably more sense to
have a surcharge. But what I think they're failing to
take into consideration here. Sure it's more convenient for them
and it's cheaper for them to do it that way,
but the public relations thing with the consumer probably not
the best idea. Although maybe people will be understanding because

(17:21):
they have to shop for eggs themselves and they see
how expensive eggs are. But it does give a competitive advantage.
If somebody like a cracker barrel, for example, wants to
not participate in the ex surcharge or decides, well, if
we have to, we'll just up the price on the menu,
but we won't call it an ex surcharge. Then from
a pr standpoint, that probably works better for them. But hey,

(17:42):
we'll wait and see. Yeah, I wish I could lift
it out eggs for breakfast.

Speaker 20 (17:45):
I can.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
All right, let's do this. The goodbye to you for
joy Read. Here's a little left versus right on the
end of joy Read. We hear from a variety of
people in this one. First you're to hear from joy
Read herself, her tearful goodbye. This was not on the air.
This is a message to all of her fans. Making

(18:07):
Kelly's response to that she's on the right, and Don
Lemon's very quick and terse response to Megan Kelly, my
show had value.

Speaker 27 (18:16):
And then I'm sorry that.

Speaker 4 (18:23):
What I was doing.

Speaker 6 (18:26):
Value he value And in the end, I'm sorry.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
I'm not trying not to cry on TV. And I
tell you this is kind of like you know on TV,
So I apologize.

Speaker 28 (18:33):
The big news tonight will be Joy Read's final show
on MSNBC. Single tier white woman tears happening right here.

Speaker 29 (18:44):
Joy.

Speaker 28 (18:45):
She was officially fired over the weekend because she's a racist,
horrible news anchor with no ratings, and that's that's really
been the truth for a long time. MSNBC's undernew management,
and I guess they decided to come to grips with reality.
The truth is, this is very sad news for us,
as she's provided so much.

Speaker 23 (19:06):
Material over the years.

Speaker 28 (19:07):
So I feel the way I felt when Brian Stelter
got fired. But she came back, and you never know.
I'm sure Joy Reid will wind up doing something where
we will continue to get to respond to her absolutely
insane pov.

Speaker 2 (19:22):
Let me just say to Megan Kelly, in my thirty
some years as a journalist, in my fifty some years
as a person of color, go yourself.

Speaker 3 (19:30):
Oh yeah, okay, isn't that special? Yeah, they're so eloquent
when it comes to that kind of stuff. You know,
to get back to Megan Kelly's comments for just a second,
she was not fired because she's a racist. MSNBC does
not care that she's a racist. It is perfectly fine
to be racist against white people. You can be as
racist against white people as you want to be. The

(19:51):
low ratings means low advertisers, and that's always where the
problem is in the media business. It's all about the
money that you bring in or the money you drive away.
By twenty seven, it is time to take a look
at your money. Jeff Bellinger is here. Good morning, and
good morning to you, Jimmy.

Speaker 30 (20:09):
The Monday session on Wall Street did not live up
to its early promise. Major averages started out higher but
ended mostly lower. The Dow held on and closed a
tenth of a percent higher, but the Nasdaq fell back
one point two percent. The S and P five hundred
fell half a percent, futures lower right across the board.
At this early hour, the Dow futures down sixty four points.

(20:31):
I'm Jeff Beldinger, Bloomberg Business on News Radio seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 4 (20:38):

Among our top stories this half hour, Ice finds an
MS thirteen killer at Colony Ridge. They're looking to revap
the Star test and coming up at five thirty eight,
Texas has a political log gem is it time to
break it up? Details in the minutes ahead. You're in
Houston's Morning News. First, we're gonna check out that Morning

(21:15):
Drive once again. Here is skymine.

Speaker 5 (21:16):
All right, I don't see the wreck on fourteen eighty
five on the other side of the East texts east
they may if it's that bad. I can't see them
clearing it that quickly, so I have no air support
to help me out.

Speaker 4 (21:27):
Uber Mike on the chip line.

Speaker 2 (21:29):
Hey, with up skylight well Clayton Area, Woodley, Houston.

Speaker 21 (21:32):
Dude, I can't see anything in front of me.

Speaker 32 (21:34):
It's fifteen feet of visibility.

Speaker 33 (21:36):
And Jimmy, Fresca and vodka Come on, man, Fresca and
vodka the greatest combination.

Speaker 4 (21:41):
Ever Presca and vodka. Jimmy, Okay, I'm on.

Speaker 20 (21:44):
The vodka might make it tolerable.

Speaker 5 (21:46):
Heck, I'm in the Generator Supercenter Dot com Traffic Center.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
Hold on to your figure from our KTRH generator super center,
twenty four hour weather center. Fall garly becoming sunny with
the high temperature today right about seventy two. We'll get
you the complete four cast in about eight minutes from Terry.
She's back after a couple of days off. She's at
the weather channel right now. Current temperature is forty eight
at your official severe weather station, News Radio seven forty KTRH.

(22:12):
It is time now for the news. Here's Cliff Saunders.

Speaker 7 (22:15):
Thank you, Jimmy. It is five point thirty two. Top
story arrests made at the illegal aliens safe haven of
Colony Ridge in Liberty County. According to bright Bart seven
times deported in MS thirteen gang member was picked up
for allegedly stabbing and killing a neighbor yesterday. Several other
people were taken into custody as well. Now this was

(22:35):
a successful operation. Others across the country have not been.
Some because of leaks from inside DHS.

Acting ICE Director Caleb Vittello was reassigned to concentrate on

Speaker 35 (23:06):
So have arrests and deportations hit a snag since Trump
took office.

Speaker 36 (23:09):
They're good numbers as far as the deportation numbers, but
obviously the trub administration and Tom Holman want more. The
gathering of these individuals takes a little bit more effort.

Speaker 35 (23:18):
Former ICE special agent Victor Avilaw says arresting illegal aliens

We have a system that's built around a lot of

As for higher education, more American companies are shifting from
requiring degrees to not requiring them. For multiple reasons.

Speaker 24 (26:06):
Maybe the biggest one is the realization by businesses that
training and talent recognition can be as good as a
college degree in many cases. But this flexibility, according to
business strategist Meredith Elliott Powell, reflects the fact that over
the next three years, more than four million people a
year will turn sixty five and retire.

Speaker 27 (26:25):
And then again, we're starting to see the younger generation
not be as committed to necessarily going to college. They
seem to want to get into the workforce.

Speaker 24 (26:35):

Speaker 7 (26:59):
Kat Robinson at us In Association of Realtors as home
sales here are up to percent year over year five
thirty seven. And looking at your health, our trust in
doctors is plummeting for multiple reasons.

Speaker 40 (27:11):
Only about half of Americans now rate medical doctors as
honest and ethical, down fourteen points from just three years ago,
according to Gallup. Writer and medical doctor Brian Junde says
the health establishment's response to COVID did much of that damage.

Speaker 41 (27:24):
Many people lost their jobs, their businesses, family disruption, school
disruption for kids when it was not necessary. Safe therapeutics
were poo pooed in order to push a vaccine. So
a lot of trust has been lost from the health authorities.

Speaker 20 (28:04):
Thank you. Now, we got us a logjam here in Texas.

Speaker 3 (28:07):
Hang on, that's undred Canadian five thirty eight is our
time here in Houston's morning news. This is interesting story
and I want to get your opinion on this. I
think we'll ask you a question of today on this one.
Once I'm done presenting this to you. The story says
there is a political logjam here in Texas that's preventing
ambitious Republicans from moving into more prominent roles. And you

(28:28):
know they're right. I mean Governor Greg Abbott on his
third term, Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick on his third term,
Attorney General Ken PA's on his third term, Agriculture Commissioner
Sid Miller, third term State Comptroller Glenn Hager, all on
the third terms, free of term limits and showing no
public signs of moving on. Adding two US Senators who
have now been locked in for even longer, and you

(28:50):
can see how many potential Republican state wide candidates have
been mostly in a sustained holding pattern. Some are starting
to show their restlessness. Although Hager hasn't given any indication
he's going anywhere. Farmers State Senator Don Huffines has been
doing some polling to see how we might match up
against him in a primary or in an open field

(29:11):
if Hagar doesn't seek another four year term. So it
brings about an interesting question. I have never been one
to really go for term limits. If you have somebody
who's really, really great and you want to keep electing them.
You ought to be able to keep electing them, just

(29:33):
like if you have somebody who's really bad, you ought
to get them out of office. But this kind of
takes it to a different level.

Speaker 27 (29:38):
Here.

Speaker 3 (29:38):
We're talking about the primaries. Right If the only choice
you have for Republican for governor is Greg Abbott and
you against whatever Democrat is running, then you're going to
vote for Greg Abbott. And even if you think that
there's probably somebody out there better than Greg Abbot that

(29:58):
should be running for governor, maybe you think Dan Patrick
would make a bitter governor. Maybe I don't know, Maybe
Dan Patrick doesn't want to be governor. Maybe he has
more powers lieutenant governor. That's what's kind of weird about Texas.
So at some point, I guess here's my question of today.
Should we think about term limits for Texas offices to

(30:19):
keep the new blood flowing, to limit the amount of
terms that you can run for state wide office, for example,
not necessarily for representative, but for at least for state
wide office governor, Lieutenant governor, attorney general, agriculture commissioner, state controller,
those types of positions. Should those have term limits, whether
that's a two term limit or three term limit, or

(30:41):
for whatever it is you want to make, or should
we be able to or should we continue just to
elect the same people over and over and over again.
If you'd like to respond to that, and I hope
you do, please go to the iHeartRadio app KTRH. Put
us on your pre sid you find us quickly that
but you've got thirty seconds. Give me a first name,
last name in your opinion. Please first though, traffic and

fifty three Our time here in Houston's morning News. I
don't know if you've heard this yet or not. And
I'm not even sure where he was doing this interview.
I've seen the video, so it's Dan Crenshaw and he's
doing the interview, even though it's very difficult to hear
at the end what he said. He's doing an interview

(36:43):
and the topic of Tucker Carlson comes up, and then
when they're done with the interview and the MIC's are
coming off, you can you can barely hear him. It'll
be very difficult for you to hear this on the radio.
But basically Dan Crenshaw is asked what he thinks about
Tucker Carlson and basically says, I ever meet him, I'll
kill him. No, honestly, like seriously, if I ever do

(37:05):
meet him, I'll kill him. It's like, are you are
you serious?

Speaker 3 (37:09):
Or you know when an Avy seal says he'll kill you,
I have a tendency to take that seriously. So here's
the Sky News is the only place I've seen where
they're reporting this out of Australia. Here's the report from
Sky News.

Speaker 43 (37:20):
Just coming back to this, one hundred billion told us
to Ukraine.

Speaker 20 (37:22):
I know that people like I call someone made the argument.

Speaker 43 (37:25):
That's a real opportunities to host that you know, we
could have spent that money on the border or fixing,
you know, issues in America. What do you make of
the argument that all this money could have been spent
to help Americans not Ukrainians.

Speaker 4 (37:36):
You can walk in shoo bubble gum.

Speaker 23 (37:38):
At the same time, you know, we we spend we.

Speaker 21 (37:43):
Spend seventy five eighty percent of our budget on a
welfare state in America, on social scurity, Medicare, Medicaid. I
would love to ask Tucker what he thinks one hundred
billions should be spent on and if you would vote
for it? As a conservative talker, isn't always talking about
and Alex.

Speaker 23 (37:58):
This is what he had to say after the interview.

Speaker 4 (38:02):
Have you ever met something.

Speaker 38 (38:06):
A lot?

Speaker 44 (38:14):
So it says if I meet him, I'll kill him.
He followed that up with I'm not joking. He's your
state's congressman, Alex from the great state of Texas. Do
you approve of these threats against Tucker Carlson's life?

Speaker 45 (38:29):
This shows you how insensitive Dan Crenshaw truly is. And
he's a guy, and I appreciate his service, lost his
I fighting and defending this country. And yet his biggest
mission in life is sending more young people to go
and lose their own eye in these unnecessary wars. And
Tucker Carlson has been calling out Dan Crenshall for a

(38:50):
long time. So even though Dan Crenshaw, you know, considers
him self conservative, if he was truly conservative, he would
be more about individual liberty and limited government, and that's
not what Dan Forshaw is interested in. So you know
him saying this, it just shows you that he's a
very callous individual that does not value human life.

Speaker 3 (39:08):
Well he's in neocon I mean we have found that out.
We have also found out the hard way that he
is very insensitive when it comes to these types of things.

Speaker 20 (39:17):
You know he is.

Speaker 3 (39:18):
He's been involved in froddy different altercations with people. He's
certainly not a diplomat. I think we got sold a

Speaker 4 (46:54):
I live in Dear Park.

Speaker 2 (46:55):
Your best ways are round Houston. Next on the ten KTRH.

Speaker 3 (47:04):
Well, it turns out that Houston Chronicle has not the
least been worried about gang members at Colony Ridge. They're
worried about the other illegals who are living there and
what they're going through right now. They just did a
big story on Colony Ridge and you, and of course
they're quoting and talking to probably illegals who are living

(47:25):
in Colony Ridge, we know there are quite a few
of them, and talking to them about their worries about
being apprehended by ice and ice raids and all those
types of things, when the reality is nobody really for
the most part has been picked up at Colony Ridge,
except for violent criminals like this MS thirteen gang member
who stabbed a neighbor in his truck, stabbed him to death,

(47:49):
took off and was apprehended. He has been arrested, hopefully
with no bond. I would hope he's been why he's
been deported seven times and he's managed to get back
here seven times, So clearly a flight risk if you
let him loose number one and number two, if you
don't put him in jail for murder, then definitely a

(48:11):
risk to continue doing what he does, even if you
do deport him. So it's just amazing to me that
the that the liberal media still continues to put all
their worry and all the concern about supposedly innocent people
living in peace who just are looking for a better
life in America, and we need to allow these people

(48:33):
to stay and leave these people alone. We have not
been apprehending those type of people, but that that's the
scare tactic that gets used, not that they're apprehending gang members,
not that we're taking killers off the street, but we're
taking quote unquote innocent people and putting them in jail
and separating families, and for the most part that has
not happened. We are still focused on getting rid of criminals.

(48:59):
So could we start maybe I realize I'm wishing for
something not likely to happen, But can we maybe write
some stories that are a little bit more balanced? Nah,
because people who are balanced probably aren't reading the Krown anyway. Right, six',
Ten time for traffic and weather.

there a lot faster in the, future and once you
hit the, microphone you got thirty. Seconds first name where

term limits for state wide? Offices In? Texas we have
a logjam at the. Top we have a, governor lieutenant,
governor ad, commissioner attorney, general and several other positions that

(52:28):
have been three. Terms they've been there for three terms
with no sign of any of them going. Elsewhere so
the question, is in order to give a place for
new blood to come in and to shine in the
great stity Of, texas do we need to look at
doing term. Limits here's what some of you were.

Speaker 49 (52:43):
SAYING i am not completely against term, limits but it
has to be for all, Offices, House, senate and the

Speaker 29 (52:51):
Austin now how MANY i am not.

Speaker 49 (52:54):
SURE i have no problem with three term, because, HONESTLY
i think it takes a stay longer time to develop
well established names before he can say, yes they are.
Electable so let's start with three terms on the entire
realm and we'll see what.

Speaker 3 (53:09):
Happens, see it's not my nature to like term limits at.
ALL i believe in, in voting people in, her voting people.
Out the problem is is that when somebody like A
Governor abbitt for, example like him or, not gets in,
there if he's going to win the, primary if he
wants to run, again he's going to win the, primary
and if he, does he's going to get. Elected so

Speaker 3 (54:55):
Right the only problem is The United nations really would
like to run our country and probably the rest of the.
Planet Chip royd joins THIS Us congressman from the twenty first. District,
congressman are you among the people who proposed the idea
that maybe we shouldn't be a part of The United
nations and The World Health organization and some of these
other organizations to see you want to control everything we
want to.

Speaker 4 (55:14):
Do, yeah that's exactly.

Speaker 29 (55:17):
Right good.

Speaker 48 (55:17):
Morning thanks for having me. On you, know since i've
been In congress for the last three. Terms i've introduced
a number of measures and been in voice for getting
us out of these programs that are continuing to take
away money and frankly not just be, ineffective not just
waste of taxpayer, dollars but they actually work against our.
Interest you mentioned The World Health. Organization you Know i've

(55:39):
introduced legislation to defund that and get us out of
that four years. Ago The United Nations Human Rights, council,
RIGHT i mean that whole mess is run By, iran By,
china but all these serial abusers of human rights and
The United nations yet.

Speaker 29 (55:56):
Then looks at us and looks At israel like we're the.
Problem was funneling money To.

Speaker 48 (56:01):
Hamas, again introduce legislation to get rid of. That SO
i introduced legislation and Last, congress along With Mike lee
and The senate to just get us out of The
United nations stop funding. It you, know we're pouring billions
of dollars into. THAT i think twenty twenty two, alone
we spend eighteen billion.

Speaker 29 (56:19):
Dollars through The United. Nations and what have we gotten
out of? That what is The United nations done other.

Speaker 48 (56:25):
Than fund and support our, enemies work AGAINST, us fund
NGOs against our, borders funnel money to organizations that undermine
our national security. Interest so, look you, know there might
have been a time where those organizations made.

Speaker 29 (56:39):
SENSE i think those days are. PASSED i think.

Speaker 48 (56:42):
We need to rethink and restructure and force the international
communities to the table and just stop dumping money into these.

Speaker 20 (56:49):
Organizations time has Been Chip roy is with.

Speaker 3 (56:51):
US i also want to ask you about the latest
thing About, doze of the email That elon sent out
asking what are the five things you? Know list five
things you've done in the last, week which you would
think for most people would be fairly, Simple but it's
causing an uproar in the federal government BECAUSE i guess
many of them have never worked for a private, corporation
which where it's routine to send an email, out especially

(57:12):
to somebody who're not sure is with you anymore in
mind or. Spirit AND i get the feeling that this
was more an exercise of let's let's find out who
answers and who, doesn't and people who don't answer our,
email let's make sure they work for.

Speaker 48 (57:27):
Us, YEAH i think a lot of people don't really
understand what's going.

Speaker 29 (57:32):
On and that's precisely what's going.

Speaker 48 (57:33):
On there's shocks to the system going on to wake
up people and figure out what's actually going on.

Speaker 29 (57:39):
In the deep within the. Agencies we'll give you a.

Speaker 48 (57:41):
Story for, example one of my, colleagues a friend who
had worked in The trump administration the first time and
who has now gone, back had you, know come To
Capitol hill and now has gone back over the. Administration
literally one of the few went back to the same,
desk went to his. PHONE i went to the. Phone
they need to.

Speaker 29 (57:58):
Checked all of the speed dials and they were all the.
Same there's nothing had.

Speaker 48 (58:03):
Changed and then the same and the same group talked
about an entity down the road that they're finding rats
and stuff because.

Speaker 29 (58:12):
Nobody had been. There it was just an empty.

Speaker 48 (58:14):
Building like it has been an absolute horror show by
this administration where they were spend funneling money to all
sorts of bad programs and then funding all these bureaucrats
who weren't coming in and weren't doing. Anything you wonder
why you're not getting stuff, done why passports were getting,
delayed why you, know the basic services of government weren't.

Speaker 29 (58:34):
Happening, well that's why and then.

Speaker 48 (58:36):
You're you're funding bureaucrats who were DOING dei and woke
crap and interfering with the few core principles of government
that we actually should be. Funding SO i support The
president shaking it. Up we'll see what happens with each
one of these. Things you, know, YESTERDAY i think The
president kind of doubled down and, said, YEAH i, MEAN
i support putting something out to make sure we know

(58:56):
what these guys are, doing and they'll do it and
they'll follow the law to make sure.

Speaker 29 (59:01):
They're doing what they need to. Do BUT i think
they need to shake up the.

Speaker 3 (59:04):
Bureaucracy, well the good news IS i think they're well
on their way to doing. That they've certainly getting everybody's.

Biden we both to permit FOR Tc Energy corporation for
The KEYSTONE Exl energy pipeline via executive orders hours after his.

to reverse that and to try to get started. AGAIN
i guess part of the problem is is that you
have to convince this company that it's worth coming back in,

(01:08:12):
again that they're going to be able to get the
job done this. TIME i don't know how long it
would take them to build the. Pipeline it may be

temperatures like all week long for the most, part upper
sixties to low seventies. Today tomorrow's going to be a
carbon copy of, today except a little bit, warmer mid

Right now forty eight at your Officials severe weather, Station

we got some log jam here In. Texas at the
top of the ticket is where the logjam. Is you,
know the state wide offices, governor lieutenant, governor attorney, general state,
comptroller and ag. Commissioner they've all they're all three terms

(01:12:08):
and so far and showing no signs of doing something
different or stepping. Down so my question, becomes because there
are other. Talents there are other and perhaps or even
more conservative conservatives here In texas that might make good.
Governors for, example So Greg abbott has had three, terms
should he be limited how many terms he can? Run
should we consider term? Limits, because after, all you know

(01:12:30):
what's going to, happen right whoever wins the primary is
likely to win the election because they're A. Republican so
as long As Greg abbott, runs he's likely to beat
whoever The democrat, is and, therefore who knows how many
years or decades he could become he could be. Governor
so do we need to have maybe if my suggestion
was three, TERMS i think three terms should be enough

(01:12:51):
to accomplish whatever it is you're trying to. Accomplish But
i'd like to know what you. Think and in, fact
we've had people responding this. Morning iHeartRadio app ktra put

Speaker 3 (01:26:24):
Tent all, Right so the question is where should the limit?
Be if there should be limits here In. Texas there
are no term limits here In. Texas you can run
for office as often as you. Like he'd be re
elected as often as you'd. Like and there's good and.
Bad I've i've you, Know i've lived in states that

(01:26:44):
had no term, limits AND i LIVED i actually lived
in one state that had term, limits and that Was,
virginia and ironically really only affected the governor's. Office In,
virginia just Like alabama back in the, day you could
not exceed yourself as as, governor so you could only

(01:27:04):
run for one term and then you could not run for.
REELECTION i don't like that particular, idea because if you
get a really good, governor then you, know four years
is not a lot in order to especially you have
major things that you need to turn, around so you
find yourself in constant change and that is not always.

(01:27:27):
Good but by the same, TOKEN i think it's pretty
clear that party, politics especially in a place Like, texas
kind of controlled the day because whoever wins the, primary
if you're running for, governor generally, speaking whoever wins the
primary is going to be elected whoever that person. Is
so we find ourselves in a situation Where Governor Greg
abbott is serving his third term as governor Of, texas AND.

Speaker 20 (01:27:53):
I think that's.

Speaker 3 (01:27:53):
Plenty, now you, know this is not meant to be
necessarily a criticism Of Greg abbott although there are plenty
things we could criticize him, ON i just think that
there's plenty of new blood out. THERE i Think i'd
rather See Dan patrick's policies in place than some of
the Things i've seen coming out.

Speaker 20 (01:28:09):
Of Governor Greg.

Speaker 3 (01:28:09):
Abbott but at this Point i'll never have a chance
to vote for him if if he continues to run
for a, reelection and that's the. Thing you can keep
people out of a. Primary if you can't if the
party politics means that you can't beat somebody in a,
primary then you don't have an opportunity to get new,
blood especially at the top of the. Ticket SO i
THINK i don't mind that we have local and state

(01:28:31):
representatives who have are constantly re, elected especially if they're.
Good THAT i can deal with. That BUT i think
for the state wide offices there should be a term,
limit let's say three. Terms and a lot of you
are agreen this morning that you think that term limits
here In, texas at least when it comes to the
state white offices are a good, idea AND.

Speaker 51 (01:28:49):
I am for term. LIMITS i think that sometimes these
people get in there and they just are in there too.
LONG i think fresh blood would be a good thing
for the state Of. Texas and that's my.

Speaker 1 (01:29:03):
Opinion, NO i agree with.

Speaker 4 (01:29:04):
You you're.

Speaker 3 (01:29:05):
WELCOME i THINK i think THERE'S i think there's young
talent out there that's missing out on an opportunity to
move up the ladder because there's a logjam at the
top seven. Ten time for traffic and weather together there
it comes in, handy doesn't this, Guy.

Agent he knows the farmand inside or. Out what do
you make of this? Move by the, way does this
does this make sense to?

Speaker 32 (01:34:57):
You it does and in so many, ways and it's
one of the major moves and many moves that's. Happening
BECAUSE i heard you mentioned the slowdown and there's a
lot of factors that we.

Speaker 20 (01:35:11):
Have to look at why this is.

Speaker 4 (01:35:13):
Happening and obviously.

Speaker 32 (01:35:15):
There's there's some issues in the internal mechanisms OF, ice
and NOW i want people to understand that in the
last four, YEARS, ice ESPECIALLY e RO o enforcement removal,
operations really were handcuffed at their. Desk we're not allowed
to do anything by The biden administration and that has
an effect for four years a long, time and all

(01:35:37):
of a, sudden you, Know President trump comes in here and,
says get out, there do, this and it's it's taking
some time to get that out, there and so it.
Will you're going to see this, machine this endeavor really
take off, here. Assume but these are some of the
interior movements that require. That but some of the external.

(01:36:00):
Issues there's obviously a lot of people opposing the deportations
and especially sanctuary, CITIES uh and other factors that are
really blocking the efforts That Tom holman wants to do.
Here AND i think, EVENTUALLY, uh someone's going to be
made an example OF i don't know if it's going

(01:36:20):
to be a, mayor a, governor and an elected official
somewhere in one of our cities or states that are
obstructing the the these type of operations are going to
find themselves in custody because they're going to be obstructing federal.
Investigations and and and and you're, right there's. PLENTY i,

(01:36:40):
mean there's millions of criminal legal aliens still walking around
in every part of our country and plenty of plenty
of work to do out.

Speaker 4 (01:36:50):
There for.

Speaker 3 (01:36:50):
Sure let me ask you, this and and AND i
don't mean this in interetrogatory way at, all BECAUSE i
think we have some fantastic people who have been frustrated
for so long working FOR, ice, who as you, say
or just trying to get up to speed with the
new reality of The trump. Administration but you, know we've
had some, raids SOME ice raids where people were tipped.
OFF i don't know where those leaks. Are they're obviously

(01:37:13):
within THE us government. Somewhere do you have a concern
that there are people WITHIN ice who whose mission is
counterproductive to what it is ICE's mission is now and
maybe tipping some of these people.

Speaker 32 (01:37:24):
Off, absolutely, Absolutely and it's very, dangerous it's very, sad
it's very.

Speaker 4 (01:37:30):
Treasonous if you asked me that this is a.

Speaker 32 (01:37:34):
Possibly people you, know what we call holdovers from The
biden administration that have maybe a different, ideology and to,
me it's very puzzling why anyone would back up or
be on the side of criminal illegal aliens that've committed
some heineous crimes in our.

Speaker 4 (01:37:52):

Speaker 20 (01:37:59):
Around it is very.

Speaker 4 (01:38:01):
Puzzling the same.

Speaker 32 (01:38:03):
Thing with the, protests but the leaks is very very,
concerning not just from the internal, ones but you, know
we have school, districts we have elected, officials we have
a lot of media out there alerting the community and
trying to protect. Them but for some, reason it only

(01:38:24):
happens when it has immigration attached to.

Speaker 20 (01:38:26):
It if it's if.

Speaker 32 (01:38:28):
It has something to do with any other crime of
A us.

Speaker 20 (01:38:30):

That, Hey, jimmy this Is jeff from The North. Side
about term, limits we already have. Them they're called primary
elections and general. Elections the voters are, lazy so this
is what we. Get, okay, sorry but that's the. Truth
if you're going to put in term, limits then we're
going to end up getting rid of good people who
have a heart to. Serve so don't be. Lazy pay

Speaker 3 (01:55:14):
Test love it or hate, it and many parents hate?
It by the, way will it be? Revised does it
need to be? Revised does it take up too much?
Time do we spend too much time in the classroom
teaching to the? Test and is the test really an
accurate reflection of what we want our kids to. Know
Brad buckley is A texas state. Representative he JOINS us
there's a bill evidently that he introduced that would revamp

(01:55:37):
The Star. Test how would you revamp The Star?

Speaker 33 (01:55:39):
Test Ser, well first of, all thank you for having me.
Today it's important issue to talk. About you, know what
The Star test has become is it's quite, probably you,
KNOW i put it this, way it's less popular than The.
Shingles it is a it is A it has become
a source of anxiety for, teachers parents and. Students and

(01:56:02):
it's time to kill the star and start anew and
So House bill four that introduced last week will do just.
That and what we're looking at doing is to be you,
know kill The star and then begin a process that
will create a better form of assessment that is less
stressful on students and teachers and still informs.

Speaker 3 (01:56:23):
Parents, okay well that there you just open up a
can of worms on that. One what sort of an
assessment that you can you come up with that doesn't
put undue pressure on teachers and students in the, like
how do we go about judging whether or not these
kids are learning truly learning without having some sort of
a test in order to be able to make the
judgment On.

Speaker 33 (01:56:42):
Well what we need to do is we need to
get away from one test one. Day and right, now
the whole system was built around a, year a year
of teaching and then one big day where everybody gets revved,
up and we have a lot of young kids that
have to sit for the exam that takes hours to,

(01:57:02):
complete and basically we sort of thumbs up or thumbs
down them based upon that one test one. Day and
so WHAT hb four Does it directs The Texas Education
agency to begin to use a process by the twenty
six twenty seven school year that basically creates a shorter
exam that is not as, stressful and it also it

(01:57:26):
has precursors of two small exams that teachers can use
at the beginning of the, year in the middle of
the year that inform teachers nearly immediately so they know
where kids. Are they know which kids are are, ahead
which kids are, behind and which kids you, know really
are meeting the. Standards and so what happens now with
one test one day and the big star of behemoth

(01:57:48):
is that our districts plug in all these additional exams
throughout the year benchmarking for this, big stressful one test one.
DAY i like you right away from.

Speaker 3 (01:57:58):
THAT i like your. IDEAS i like your, idea But
i'd like to make a. SUGGESTION i love the idea
of testing kids when they're coming into that class year
to see where they're at middle of the, year to
see where they are where they compared to where they should.
Be but how about at the end of the year
before you pass them on to the next grade to
make sure they've at least gotten some minimum requirements and
in order to be, passed so that we don't have

(01:58:19):
kids getting passed along to the next grade that sue
you staying.

Speaker 33 (01:58:22):
Behind, well i'll tell you, what you know what we
last session we passed a bill that really raises the
standard for classroom. Curriculum what we found over time was
that too many lessons being taught in our classrooms were
below grade. Level so last session we passed an historic
bill that raised the bar for classroom. Rigor it makes

(01:58:45):
certain that the curriculum in our classrooms cover all of the.
Standards standards are these peaks that we talk About Texas
essential knowledge and, skills and teaks.

Speaker 4 (01:58:54):
Are approved by The State board Of.

Speaker 33 (01:58:56):
Education the teaks are crafted by classroom, teachers community, members
subject matter, experts and it's basically telling us what The
state Of texas believes kids should. Know and if you
raise the bar in the, classroom you increase the rigor
and you teach the. Standards testing will BECOME i, believe

(01:59:16):
will have less anxiety and will be more effective and
autely will absolutely know that kids are at the standard
they need to be.

Speaker 29 (01:59:22):
AT i like it before they move on to the next.

Speaker 4 (01:59:25):
LEVEL i like.

Speaker 3 (01:59:25):
It best of luck with this, bill, sir keep us
post on how it. Does love. It State Representative Brad,
buckley y'all have a great. Danks see at the staffe
and four and am nine FIFTY Kprc and tomorrow, MORNING
