Democrats are driving the country into a shutdown, and the
Dems are also trying to cancel DOGE, but in twenty
ten they were all for it. Good morning, I'm Bob
Frans and for Jimmy Barrett. This is your five o'clock
report now on news radio. So I'm forty k T reach.
We've got news coming up with Cliff Saunders. But first
let's check the early drive. Here's Scott Mike.
Speaker 4 (00:36):
It's your West Sam northbound at bel Air. What are
they doing in the feeder road? They have the feeders
shut down. I got fire equipment, I got ambalance. It
looks like your guests is as good as mine, but
the feeder is completely shut down. Of course, the main
lanes are getting by this. Just find that roadwork south
of here is nasty. And then you get on missinet.
I'm in the USA R and Vresorts dot Com traffic center.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
All right, thank you, and near record high temperatures today
in the upper eighties overnight down to about sixty seven.
What about headed into the weekend? Well, ask Terry Smith.
She'll tell us. At five to ten. Right now, we
are counting sixty seven degrees at your official severe weather station.
He's Radio seven forty KTRH. Now the morning news, here's Cliff.
Speaker 5 (01:19):
Thank you, Bob. Good morning everybody. It's five oh one
on KTRH. Our top story, the Schumer shutdown.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
These people are sick.
Speaker 6 (01:26):
They don't know what's happening in the real world. Do
Democrats have to get their act together?
Speaker 5 (01:31):
President Trump calling out Senate Democrats who will knock back
the House bill to avoid a government shutdown tomorrow night,
singling out Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
Speaker 6 (01:41):
People are going to blame the Democrats. And Schumer is
a Palestinian as far as I'm concerned. You know, he's
become a Palestinian. He is to be Jewish. He's not
Jewish anymore.
Speaker 5 (01:49):
He's a Palestinian, referencing schumer stance against Israeli leader Benjamin
Nettan Yahoo. Now the Dems are floating an alternative plan,
a thirty day short term bill. Remember, Republicans need sixty
votes to pass anything that the House sent them. They
have fifty three to forty seven majorities in the Senate.
The Democrats are lashing out because of the Trump agenda
(02:12):
and doge, but they ignore their own past when they
called for doze.
Speaker 7 (02:18):
We simply must nate the cuts, some waste, fraud and abusing.
Speaker 5 (02:24):
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi all the way back in
twenty ten. Given their antics, it's becoming more apparent that
the Democrats are in real trouble.
Speaker 8 (02:33):
One of their biggest issues is they really have no
clear leader right now.
Speaker 9 (02:37):
Who's the person who's the real most up andcoming person
is the Gavin Newsom. Well, he'd be a strong candidate
most times, but now after the LA fires, he's very weakened.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Two.
Speaker 8 (02:45):
Political commentator Jake Novak says that on top of being leaderless,
they don't have any popular issues to run on.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
They don't have anything that they're for.
Speaker 9 (02:52):
Are they for the environments, open borders, not having any tyrriffs?
These things don't really resonate with enough people for them
to get anywhere.
Speaker 8 (03:00):
Says that all of this could help Republicans win a
stronger House and Senate majority in the twenty twenty six midterms.
Ethan Buchanan News Radio seven forty KRH.
Speaker 5 (03:07):
It's now five oh three. As for the mainstream media,
the far left New York Times now says it's going
to start fact checking the White House again. That's brilliant
what the Federalist says. This is more propaganda after four
years of covering for Joe Biden.
Speaker 10 (03:22):
Propaganda's a really good description of what's going on here.
Truly disappointing, and it's just so important to understand the
slant of the news.
Speaker 5 (03:29):
You're picking up, which is why printing digital circulation is
down for The Times as of late last year. The
mainstream media, though, continues their games, but Hollywood might be getting.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
With the program, at least for now.
Speaker 11 (03:43):
Disney owned ABC is touting Tim Allen's new hit sitcom
Duck Dynasty is returning, and Amazon Prime is adding reruns
of The Apprentice. Media analyst Jo Conca tells Fox News
show business is finally getting the message.
Speaker 12 (03:55):
Look at a map of the United States. Sometimes it
is overwhelmingly read and for two along, the entertainment industry
has only catered to coastal big cities while dismissing.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
Even mocking everyone else in between.
Speaker 12 (04:06):
That's not only bad programming if that's bad.
Speaker 11 (04:08):
For business, networks are also bringing back police reality shows
like Cops and On Patrol Live, which were canceled during
the George Floyd protests five years ago. Gory Yulson, who's

Five h four Russia, says it needs to be briefed
by the US before commenting on the ceasefire that Ukraine
says it agreed to.
Speaker 13 (04:27):
If Russia says yes, that's very good news, and we
will begin that process and do everything we can to
move that process forward. If they say no, it'll tell
us a lot.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Speaker 5 (04:38):
The first true inflation report for the Trump administration was good.
Prices rose less than expected last month. National Economic Council
Director Kevin Hasseen says the deeper you look at the numbers,
the better.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Those numbers are.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
The lowest cord plation in four years.
Speaker 14 (04:54):
You could see the President Trump's policies are working, and
they're working already.
Speaker 5 (04:58):
The year over year number come below expectations at two
point eight percent. The Federal Reserve holds their March meeting
next week. That said, there are still nervous investors out there.
Overnight futures are mixed. The gal is up, s and
P and Nastak are down. Given the volatility we've seen
with the markets, is it time to start worrying the
(05:20):
way the mainstream media is freaking out, or is it
a better idea to remain calm and focus on your
investing goals.
Speaker 15 (05:27):
We have forgotten that that volatility is the price of
admission to the stock market.
Speaker 16 (05:32):
Certified financial planner Richard Rosso says he's tired of the
media pushing their doomsday perspective.
Speaker 15 (05:37):
I am shocked at the headlines from politically igniting publications

The world is over.

Meantime, the Social Security Administration says there will be an

Speaker 17 (06:01):
This latest announcement, and from what I understand, is going
to kind of be to revert to the previous procedure,
which was to essentially collect all benefits that were inadvertently
paid to beneficiaries.

Speaker 6 (07:05):
Under the orders I signed today, even here for the
very latest, all of this will change starting today on Youth.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
Radio seven KTRH.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Things have already started to change, President Trump, There's no
doubt about that. Good morning once again, it is seven
minutes after five o'clock. Everything has started to change, including
energy prices. It was one of the number one issues
that led to the rampant inflation that we endured under
four years of Joe Biden, because he came right out
(07:37):
of the gate. If you recall, Biden did saying that
he is going to kill the fossil fuel industry. His words,
he's going to do it, mark my words, He's going
to kill the fossil fuel industry. Immediately, gas and energy
costs went up, and of course that led to prices
going up as well. But they are already falling way
faster than even President Trump could have predicted. And how
(07:59):
do I know that because he actually said so yesterday.
Speaker 6 (08:02):
Happy with his oil is down to sixty five dollars
a barrel, and that's faster than I would have returned.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
We put on the gas, we stepped into.
Speaker 6 (08:11):
Gas in order to get oil, and what's happening. So
we're getting that down, and when energy comes down, prices
are going to be coming down with it. So in
a very short period of time, we've done a very
good job.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
And while things are going well, of course, well we
can't allow that to happen, or at least the Democrats can't.
That's one of the reasons why we got to shut
this thing down. And it was the lead story. You
just heard Cliffsanders talking about Chuck Schumer is indeed pushing
for the Schumer shutdown. He is trying, of course, to
try to pin it on the Republican saying, we have offered,
(08:45):
you know, a new spending bill that would be a
little bit more fair while we can negotiate the real spending, so,
you know, our cr we're asking Republicans to join us.
Their framing on this is so obvious and it is
so consistent because they've done it over and over and
over again facing CRS through the years. They try to
get the media to say, look, the Republicans or the
(09:07):
Democrats have a really good idea. The Republicans won't go
along with it, therefore they are responsible for the shutdown.
And as we all know, most of the time, the
pressure on the party provided by the media leads that
party to cracking and eventually having to change some things
to get it done. This should not be the case here.
The Democrats have no ground on which to stand other
(09:28):
than the fact that there is a sixty vote threshold
that has to be crossed in order to avoid the
legislative filibuster, and they're not going to get sixty votes.
They need seven Democrats to join, and Chuck Schumer announced
that quote, most Democrats in the Upper Chamber will not
support this. And I'll just say this, if Senate Democrats
do shut down the government fully or partially, they will
(09:52):
empower President Trump and Elon Musk to just slash the
federal workforce to its to its core, cut it to
the bone, to its essential size, a size which means
you know, DoD CIA, NSA, Homeland Security, and more entitlement
checks will still go out, but everything else will stop.
(10:15):
Everything will be cut to its core, and people will
not get paid. And the country needs to know who's
responsible for that. Chuck Schumer is literally announcing that's what
they are willing to do because they are that desperate
to a make Trump and the Republican Republicans look bad
and b stop the things that are making Republicans look good,
such as massive deportations, massive numbers of arrest at the border,
(10:37):
doge finding all of the waste, fraud, and abuse that
Democrats used to say they care about. We have a
lot to break down for you this morning, but let's
start with breaking down the weather or the traffickan weather.
It's ten minutes after five o'clock and Skymike's own job,
all right, Well, we've got this.
Speaker 4 (10:51):
It turns out to be a structure fire. I just
talked with my good friends at Houston Transtar. This has
been here since yesterday at five three stories Structures and
they tell me it's still there's still some hotspots they're
dealing with and just follow up work. They've got two
lanes of the feeder blocked on the West Sam northbound
at Beller. If you want to play the home game
with me, jump on Transtar site. Look at camera one
(11:13):
one five three, and that's interesting. It's a lot of
flashy lights. The main lanes are doing a good job
of minding their own business, so we're in good shape.
By the way, that roadwork south of here has cleared too,
so they finished that roadwork in the feeders and we're
good to go on the West Sam resid of our
freeways rocking along.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
Let's check your tip line.

Speaker 4 (11:47):
There's a stallid car of the HOV lane right before

you know that's a dark spot and a stuff can happen,
So let's be super careful. Watch out for other stations
listeners southbound. It's your USA R and V Resorts dot

Speaker 2 (12:09):
All right, and your forecast for the weekend. I guess
which is coming really really quick. Near record high temperatures today,
going to be in the upper eighties in parts of
the Great Houston area. Overnight low down to sixty seven
tomorrow and Saturday going to stay in the low to
mid eighties. Sunday a little closer to normal temperatures, but
still in the upper seventies, and in the upper eighties
(12:30):
once again to start the next work week. Right now,
sixty seven at your official severe weather station. He's Radio
seven forty KTIH.
Speaker 3 (12:37):
It's Houston's Morning News, brought to you Biden, New South
Windows solutions. Now back to Jimmy Barretts and the Houston
Morning News team.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
All the info you need to take on the day,
all right. Indeed, Happy Thursday to you. It is the
thirteenth morning of the third month in the Year of
Our Lord twenty twenty five. Bob Frand sitting in for
Jimmy once again this morning and just marveling, quite frankly
at the President of the United States conducting his affairs
(13:06):
like he's literally starring on The Truman Show. You know,
it's an app comparison. If you remember the Jim Carrey
movie from the is it late nineties or early two thousands,
I don't remember exactly one, but it's The Truman Show.
Everything Jim Carrey is character Truman did on that show
was on camera because a filmmaker bought him as a
(13:28):
baby and made a show out of him. And he
didn't know that his entire life was being filmed on camera.
As President of Trump right now, except he knows, he's
doing everything with the most transparent government in the history
of the world. Probably once again yesterday, he's holding court
and he's been giving whether it's press gaggles or whether
(13:52):
it's immediate press action, activity and availability right after a
meeting like you met yesterday with the Irish leadership, and
you know, whether he's doing a signing ceremony in the
Oval Office for another executive order, the press is invited in,
he immediately does a press con. I mean it's there's
night and day and and then there's Biden to Trump.
(14:13):
Night and day are very very similar compared to Biden
and Trump. Biden didn't answer as many questions as Trump
answered in the first two weeks in four solid years,
and Trump has continued. He's everywhere he goes, cameras are invited.
It's like the Truman Show presidency. And I don't think
there's anything the Democrats can possibly say when it comes
(14:35):
to the criticism of President Trump that he's not being
upfront with the American people because everything single question the
press asks he has an answer for, and he is
giving himself, you know, giving them all of the availability
in the world for the most powerful person in the world.
It's really remarkable to see. We've got more audio for you.
We're going to share from President yesterday and the President
yesterday after well it was actually part of the joint
(14:56):
press conference with the with the Irish Prime Minister, but
it uh, it's really really astounding, and we'll share some
of that for you. First though, it's five twenty. Let's
get moving again. Here is sky Mike. It's just super.
Speaker 4 (15:07):
Interesting, but it's not really messing up traffic. I'll just
throw it for fun West Sam bel Air. They had
that building fire yesterday. They're still having to do just
procedural business. And if you're following along at home, it's
camera one one five three on the Trendstar site. Let's
go way out West I ten Mike from Whimer Sky, Mike, Dude,
it's fogg yet here at intermittent fog between Columbus and
(15:28):
I think sea leeds in front of me. Uh and
so anyway, dress day. All right, that makes a lot
of sense. Visibility is the thing. By the way, I
don't know. I don't know exit numbers and all that.
Give me, you know, give me road names. If you
give me something, you know like Jethrow Lane, Billy, Bob
Road whatever. All right, let's hit two ninety seven one
three seven one three two one two t I p
(15:49):
S two ninety.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
Sky Mike, it's kept in Jack and I'm buried my jive.
Speaker 4 (15:54):
To jivee hoh to ninety it'd be clear bow all right,
there we go, Bob Fretcy Captain Jack is he's super brilliant.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
That's a give. I think that's a sale.
Speaker 4 (16:06):
Right, that's kind of a sale, but he also speaks
jive like on airplane. I'm in the USA Rvresorts dot
Com traffic center.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
All right, thank you for the heads up there, Mike,
and your forecast today. Record temperatures potentially near record highs. Anyway,
it's going to be in the upper eighties, way way
warmer than it shouldute for this time of the year.
But there it is overnight low down to sixty seven.
More on Friday Saturday staying in the low load of
mid eighties, and then on Sunday a little bit back
(16:34):
to closer to normal. Anyway, it'll be in the middubber seventies.
And right now I am looking at sixty seven at
your official severe weather station is Radio seven forty KTI
H and let's hit the headlines now with Cliff. Thank you, Bob.
We're sponsored by dn M Auto Leasing.
Speaker 5 (16:48):
We have proof that ice under Joe Biden was fudging
arrest numbers. A small plane makes an emergency, successful emergency landing,
I should say, on an eastside Houston Street. Nobody was
hurt and nobody won power Ball last night. So the
jackpot on Saturday is three hundred and seventy eight million dollars.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
Thirty from the Sugarland area Pave Airport area.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
You're reliable forecast next on the ten on seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
Okay five twenty three. So the Truman Presidency, the Truman
Show presidency. As I mentioned, everything President Trump does is
on camera, and yesterday was no exception. The biggest, one
of the biggest stories of the day yesterday, in addition
to the terrace, in addition to the way better than
the asenics ever thought it was going to be inflation
report and the lower costs of gas and eggs and
(17:40):
so many other things that are going on right now,
and all of that good news. In the midst of
all that, President Trump announced that the Department of Education
was being slashed by about half, and it's on its
way to being slashed all the way down because President
Trump is getting rid of the federal Department of Education
and returning the power to the state.
Speaker 6 (17:57):
Not doing a good job. And if you take a
look at take a look at our education process, and
if you look at the charts, because they have numerous
charts where they do the top forty. We're at number
thirty seven, thirty eight, thirty nine, and forty. And recently
they hit during.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Biden's last few days.
Speaker 6 (18:15):
They hit last so they were number forty, and yet
we're number one in costs for people. So it's pretty bad.
But we have a dream, and you know what the
dream is. We're going to move the Department of Education.
We're going to move education into the states so that
the states instead of bureaucrats working in Washington, so that
the states can run education.
Speaker 2 (18:37):
That of course is driving the left wing teachers associations mad.
They're just furious because some of their power is going
to be taken away, and so is some of the
money that they are able to get. The federal Department
of Education has been nothing but a giant boondoggle from
the beginning when it was created under Jimmy Carter. President
Trump holding Court said the Dems who were mad about
everything really should be mad at themselves because they have
(18:59):
no what they're doing and what is happening in the
real world.
Speaker 6 (19:03):
Clue you saw that the other night during the speech,
two young women were slaughtered by illegal aliens. One young
man has very serious cancer and many other problems. When
you look at the people up there, they all had difficulty,
very serious difficulty. But when we're talking about two young girls,
(19:24):
beautiful young girls, Lincoln Riley, you know, you know the
whole story. That evening was a disaster for the Democrats
in my opinion. And I would mention, and I'd see
two mothers that were inconsolable as they stood trying. Their
daughters have been absolutely just destroyed, killed, viciously killed. And
(19:47):
the young man who loved the police departments, he he
had cancer and has cancer, very bad cancer. There wasn't
a from people sitting there goods. There wasn't a handclap
that nobody stood. They were just stonefaced. These people are sick.
(20:07):
There's something wrong with them. There was no standing for anybody.
The only thing they liked is when they heard about
the death taking place with Ukraine. They were happy about that.
They were happy about that. Well, Pocahontas was very happy.
She's the one that was clapped. That's why I looked
at her. I said, oh, it's Pocahontas. These people are sick.
They don't know what's happening in the real world. The
(20:30):
Democrats have to get their act together and if they
don't vote, then what you're gonna do is you're gonna
have taxis that are going to go through the roof.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
You're gonna have a very bad time.
Speaker 6 (20:39):
You're gonna have some very bad things happen, and people
are going to blame the Democrats.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
He hopes they do. Obviously he's right, of course about
the last part. Especially, these people are sick and they
don't have any clue what is going on in the
real world. And if they do not come on board
with the People's movement, and that's exactly what happened on
November fifth, the people started a movement. The whole country
is going to be in a very very bad way.
But President Trump again just full access. Every thought he
(21:04):
has is either going out of her truth social or
it's going to being a broadcast on camera because he
is doing transparency like nobody ever has before. Okay, five
twenty six, Now we're gonna check the money and see
what's happening and what's been about of a week for
the stock market, and see what is on tap for today.
Bloomberg Business Report, The Morning, Jeff Bellinger, and Good Morning Bob.
Speaker 19 (21:23):
The midweek session on Wall Street another volatile one. It
was marked by some wild swings, but selling pressures ease
some after two days of losses, and the major averages
ended mixed. The Dow fell to ten percent, but the
NASDAK closed one point two percent higher. The S and

volatility today futures are mixed. S and P and Dow futures,

bill that would keep the federal government open past tomorrow night.
(24:43):
They're getting called out for it.
Speaker 24 (24:45):
They talk a pretty good game, so I find it
interesting that so many of them in the House cast
a vote that would put thousands, even hundreds of thousands
of federal workers out of work, which is what results
when the government shuts down.
Speaker 5 (24:58):
Texas Senator John Corny more on this set six o'clock meantime.
In Austin, former Texas House Speaker Dave Philly Feelin is
trying to spin his bill to regulate political memes.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
I'm not coming for your memes. If you like your memes,
you can keep your memes sound familiar. If you like
your doctor, you can keep your doctor.
Speaker 5 (25:19):
Feelin's bill would require disclosures on quote altered media. State
Senator Memes Middleton has filed legislation to align state IDs
with your biological sex.
Speaker 14 (25:30):
SB four oh six would prohibit changing sex on birth
certificates and establish two genders your.
Speaker 25 (25:36):
God given sex as your god given sex either xx
or x Y. Also, it's important to do to make
sure that our bills like the Save Women's Sports Act
are faithfully upheld.
Speaker 14 (25:46):
Senator Middleton says this would close any loopholes and it
stops judges from circumventing the law too.
Speaker 25 (25:52):
Judges were unlossily changing the sex on people's FIR certificates
they had no authority to do so.
Speaker 14 (25:58):
He says, there's tons of support for the bill and
gets the state in lawne with Trump's orders. Andrei Perard
News Radio seven forty KTRH.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
Five thirty four.
Speaker 5 (26:06):
Another House bill would move to evict people from property
they're not entitled to be in.
Speaker 26 (26:12):
Over the past to several years, we have all red
stories about squatters taking over poverty without the lease and
the now paying rent.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
State Rep.
Speaker 5 (26:23):
Angie chen Button, a Republican, says the bill provides justice
to homeowners. Lawmakers also could take action and remove funding
from cities that don't enforce the state wide man on
public camping.
Speaker 27 (26:36):
It's essentially saying that if they are not adhering to it,
citizens have a way of kind of seeking recourse and
filing a complaint to compel them to do it, and
if ultimately they are found violating it and don't remedy that,
then they can have repercussion.
Speaker 5 (26:49):
Charles Blaine with Urban Reform says this would put teeth
into a law that has been ignored by Texas big
cities for years. And here in the city of Houston.
Myra Gien, the sister of the late army specialist Vanessa Gien,
has announced a run for Congress.
Speaker 28 (27:04):
She's making a run at disgraced Democrat Al Green.
Speaker 22 (27:09):
As a candidates ago. I think there's a lot to
be said for her and what her narrative, her story,
her family story. I think it's very, very strong.
Speaker 28 (27:17):
That's political analyst Bill Miller, who cautions Gien may not
be strong enough to ue set Al Green.
Speaker 22 (27:25):
I think they're easier seats to win than the idea
of defeating him or unseating him. It just doesn't seem
feasible to Mane. It doesn't seem to be a wise decision.
Speaker 28 (27:34):
First up though next year's primaries. Jeff Biggs, News Radio

More violent crime. A man shot multiple times in a
robbery attempt in northwest Houston. HPD is looking for two
suspects in that case.
Speaker 5 (27:52):
H FD is still on the scene of an office
building fire off of West ham Houston Parkway near Bellair Boulevard.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
Part of the building did collapse.
Speaker 29 (28:00):
We got a three alarms out here. That's over one
hundred and twenty firefighters. So my message to the public
is stay away from the Bellow Boulevard and the Belwave.
We're going to be here all night. If you're coming
this way in the morning, take another round.
Speaker 2 (28:13):
No injuries BUD.
Speaker 5 (28:14):
One firefighter was checked out for possible heat exhaustion and
two workers are hospitalized after an accident at the Chevron
plant in Pasadena. One was flown to the hospital via
Life Flight five.
Speaker 2 (28:27):

Speaker 5 (28:28):
Today is the second annual Volunteer Appreciation Day at the Rodeo,
which is more than thirty five thousand volunteers serving on
more than one hundred committees.

ticket committees.
Speaker 5 (28:48):
Holly Schweitzer with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo says,

Speaker 3 (29:05):
Now back to Jimmy Barrett and the Houston Morning News Team,
Houston's Morning News.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
All Right, five thirty seven. Bop Frands in for Jimmy
once again this morning. Thanks so much for being with us.
So part of yesterday's big news was the announcement that
there is a ceasefire that Ukraine has agreed to in
a deal reached with Trump administration State Department, including Secretary
of State Marco Ruvio. Officials in Saudi Arabia still waiting
(29:33):
on the Russians to respond as to whether or not
they will agree to a ceasefire. You know who doesn't
like ceasefires. Warmongers don't like ceasefires. Warmongers always going to warmonger, right,
John Bolton.
Speaker 31 (29:46):
I don't think, frankly, a ceasefires in Ukraine's interest. I
think if you freeze the conflict along the existing front
lines and start negotiations in Geneva or Vienna or some
neutral capital, that drag on and on the ceasefire line
could become a new de facto Ukraine Russian border, which
gives Russia twenty percent of Ukraine's territory, I think.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
Would what would be the alternative allowing how many more
thousands and thousands of Ukrainians to die as they put
fifty and sixty and seventy year old conscripts up on
the front lines as cannon fodder, Allow them to die,
and then give Russia that territory, or maybe start negotiating
what the territory is going to look like without more
people dying. An end to this is inevitable, and that
(30:32):
end is going to be with Ukraine losing. They don't
have anywhere near the resources nor the manpower that Russia has,
so why keep the war going? Warmonger?
Speaker 31 (30:40):
I think Zelenski had to agree to the ceasefire in
Saudi Arabia because he needed to get US military assistance,
intelligence assistance turned back on. He had to try and
repair the damage from the debacle in the Oval Office,
so of course he agreed to it, and he did
get the military assistant turned back on.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
Everybody now knows why John Bolton was excised from the
Trump administration the first time around. President Trump obviously was
given some bad advice. President Trump is trying to seek
peace throughout the world, not start new wars, and certainly
not extend unwinnable wars at an unattained or unsustainable cost
to the American taxpayers, which is exactly what would have
happened if Kamala Harris had won or Joe Biden had
(31:23):
won re election. We would be giving probably close to
a trillion dollars to Ukraine to continue a war that
is absolutely unwinnable. John Bolton would like that. President Trump Obviously,
like I said, there's a reason why he removed people
like that from his orbit. He is trying to seek peace.
And now even from outside looking in, people like Bolton
(31:45):
are in boldening the leadership in both countries to continue
the war. It's really really quite astounding. Five forty Now
we're gonna do trafficking weather once again. And check it here.
Speaker 4 (31:56):
This guy, Mike Man, I need to get out in
Baytown have a beers sometime. Bob Frentz, this is a
good spot. One forty six. Here's the deal. I want
everybody to watch out on one forty six. The bypass
part of one forty six, not the old one forty
six Alexander. The bypass part southbound after the entrance from
three thirty to there'd be in some pavement repair. You
didn't say your name, by the way southbound Hope down
(32:18):
toward the Fred Hartman Bridge, and it looks like they're
doing some alternating langage here southbound. Just watch out because
it looks like people aren't really giving these guys enough space.
On three point thirty itself, you're going by the Exon plant.
You're looking good, looking good from three thirty onto the bridge,
and of course later this morning they'll do that blasted
road repair, so we'll keep an eye on that for you.
(32:39):
The rest of the morning. We've got the building fire
West Sam bell Air. You're hearing about that and seeing
it on the onlines. It's not really any big whoop
on the mainlanes. Mainlanes are rocking along both ways two
ninety to the Southwest Freeway.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
Your tip line seven one three.
Speaker 4 (32:52):
Before I give you tip line, remember you can hit
us on the free iHeartRadio app and you could talk

Speaker 32 (33:04):
Morning, Mikey, Good morning love. Right after the Waistside exit,
there is extremely large higher debris in that lane dark,
you don't see it right away, and people are trying
to swerve all over the place.
Speaker 4 (33:19):
All right, watch out for other stations. Listeners swerving from
what do we call those bob friends. There's a name
for those. They are tire gators, Yes, tire gradors. South
sam waystside. Watch out, that's on the westbound lanes.
Speaker 2 (33:30):
This is your.
Speaker 4 (33:31):
Generator Supercenter dot Com traffic Center.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
I think I failed the test on that one. Sorry, wow,
it just didn't know it. Let's take a look at
the forecast. Now, it's gonna be warm today, ken boom,
it certainly is.
Speaker 21 (33:41):
In fact, record highs are possible today is I think
we're going to be in the upper eighties this afternoon.
Some clouds and fog around here this morning, Sunshine mixing
in this afternoon. Eighty eight expected this afternoon. That would
tie the record. If we get to eighty eight, some
areas might have lower records and sea record breaking, but
either way, very warm this afternoon. Clouds in tonight, straight
shower possible, late mid sixties. Cloudy sky's Friday morning with
(34:03):
a stray shower, Sunshine mixing in for the afternoon. Breezy
and quite warm again tomorrow mid eighties, cooler air in
for the weekend, becoming sunny on Saturday. It'll be breezy,
upper seventies, sunny, mid seventies Sunday.
Speaker 2 (34:15):
All right, thanks sir, And right now we have sixty
seven at your official severe weather station's radio seven forty
ktr H. What you need to know for the day ahead.
Speaker 3 (34:24):
This is Houston's Morning News, brought to you by New
South Windows Solutions.
Speaker 2 (34:29):
Okay, it is now five forty eight. Good morning to you.
So this is one we didn't really cover much yesterday,
but quite an astounding scene in congressional subcommittee hearing as
Delaware Representative Sarah Tim McBride was recognized by the chair
sub or excuse me, subcommittee chair Keith self just launching chaos,
(34:54):
I suppose in the subcommittee here.
Speaker 33 (34:56):
I recognize the representative from Delaware, mister McBride.
Speaker 5 (35:01):
Thank you, madam, Chair ranking Member Keating, also wonderful.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
Stew of Chairman.
Speaker 4 (35:05):
Could you repeat your instruction again please, That.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
Of course was a Democrat, a member of the panel
or of the committee who stepped in to say what
did you say? How dare you? Essentially and they immediately
adjourned the meeting because Chairman, Keith self refused to step
away from what he said. He said, mister McBride, you see,
Sarah mccride is a male. Sarah McBride wears wigs and
(35:31):
lipstick and dresses, but it's a male and the chair,
the committee chair, was not going to call him a her.
He tried to he being McBride, tried to turn the
tables by saying thank you, madam chair, which has the
leftist online all cheering and saying, oh look what she
did to him, Look what she did. Well, first of all,
(35:53):
she is a he. And second of all, all he
did was underscore the point that the chairman self was making.
Calling that man mister self madam was absurdity, in the
same way as if mister self had a called mister
McBride miss it would have been absurdity. And that's exactly
(36:14):
the point the chair involved. Keith's self. Subcommittee Chair Keith's
self was on the Michael Knowles Show afterwards, and he
explained why he did what he did and why he
said what he said. Listen, and who thinks he's a woman?
Speaker 33 (36:29):
Mister, Well, Michael, I'm a retired Green Beret. I'm not
even sure what all the fuss is about. I mean,
he is allowed to live his life. In fact, I
spent twenty five years on active duty defending his right
to live his life as he chooses. But I don't
have to participate in his fantasy.
Speaker 2 (36:49):
And there it is, and that is the end game
in the pronoun wars. We don't have to participate in
the delusions or fantasies or charades or whatever games that
somebody else will wants to play. And he is not
backing down one bit, and good for him. He should not.
You want to see those videos, They're on my personal
website which is called strictly speaking at strictly speaking dot org.
(37:11):
Strictly speaking dot org, both of those videos available to
you there. Okay, five point fifteen. Now let's do trafficking
weather once again. Sky Mike, that's.
Speaker 4 (37:17):
You, and you can also hit us on the free
iHeartRadio app. Click that talkback Mike, and you could talk
to Bob, me, Cliff, anybody here. I'm getting a lot
of help from friends out there this morning to eighty eight.
Let me let the rest of the media know Robert
or Kevin. Kevin from Danbury just hit us on the
app and he said that they have some kind of
roadwork going on two eighty eight northbound Highway sixth the
(37:39):
entrance and he says, we're going fifty five. Are you serious,
Sammy Hagar northbound. Let's look out as we're coming up
from Vissouria County. You've got the problem with the merge
mark from Spring. This is I forty five in the
North Freeway coming into downtown. At it ten, Right there
at the b Someone Bridge, there's somebody right in the
merge point that's just stalled.
Speaker 2 (37:59):
That is a really sticky spot.
Speaker 4 (38:00):
It's gonna affect both the Katie Freeway if you're coming
in from Taylor. Also watch out as you're passing the
North Main or the North Street Bridge southbound. Right before
that be someone bridge. And hey, Bob, do you know
anything about Nantucket?
Speaker 2 (38:14):
Do you know? I guess it's an island or something.
When I know about Nantucket, I learned in the learned
in the nineteen nineties watching Wings.
Speaker 4 (38:20):
We once had a listener from Nantucket named Steven, and
he he's out there by the ferry and he says everything.
Speaker 2 (38:30):
He misses us, and he talks to us on the app.
Speaker 4 (38:32):
But just click that little talk back Mike We're gonna
check your ship channel bridges at six o'clock in the
Generator Supercenter dot Com Traffic Center.
Speaker 2 (38:40):
Yeah, I think I know that guy. Stories about him
from Nantucket. Yeah, yeah, that man from Nantucket. Stories about
him are greatly exaggerated. I'll just leave it at that,
Thank you. Looks like we've got near record high temperatures today.
Ken Boone tells us going to be in the upper eighties,
pushing eighty seventy eighty eight in that neighborhood overnight, down
to sixty seven Friday, Saturday, staying in the low to
(39:00):
mid eighties. Sunday cooling a little bit, but only into
the upper seventies and lower eighties again to start the
next work week. Right now, sixty seven at your official
severe weather station, News Radio seven forty KTRH. And now
we get some headlines from Cliff Saunders, Thank you, Bob,
sponsored by D and M auto Leasing.
Speaker 5 (39:18):
Democrats are driving us towards a partial government shutdown. South
Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham plans to introduce bipartisan sanctions on
Russia and a total lunar eclipse a blood moon will
be visible very early tomorrow morning. It's peak at one
fifty five am our time at the latest news anytime
at KTRH dot com. Our next update is at six o'clock.
Speaker 2 (39:41):
I live in Pasadena, Sharptown Southwest, next on the ten
time saving Traffic on seven forty KTRH. So here's an
update story for you, one that you probably followed a
little bit yesterday a couple of last couple of days.
Remember Alila Everett, the senior at Norcombe High School who
has in char In Virginia, who has been excuse me,
(40:03):
who was captured on video running a race I think
it was four x two hundred race for her high school,
and in the middle of the race, she decided to
beat her opponent over the head with a baton. Yeah,
somebody that she was coming up on behind. She literally
reared her arm back and swung and concussed one of
(40:24):
the other runners. And she then went on a viral
video crying and saying she's being savaged over this whole thing,
and really upset that nobody is concerned about her mental
as she called it, her mental This is terrible. It
was an accident. She didn't mean to do that. It
was totally an accident. It's how my arms were moving well.
(40:45):
Prosecutors disagree. She's been charged now with assault and battery
after hitting the opponent, Kayleene Tucker with that baton concussion
and possible skull fracture, is what they said. The woman
or the young runner, initially defended her position as like
I said, as an accident, but now the charges have
(41:05):
been pressed. She's facing account of assault and battery, and
the Virginia High School League stated that the actions taken
to disqualify the runner was appropriate and correct. But yeah,
this is a pretty common situation, not in beating somebody
over the head with the potomona you're running a race,
but trying to play the victim when you are the perpetrator.
How can I get out of this? How can I
(41:26):
be made to look any better? And the entrants cry
really really hard and claim that you are being unfairly targeted,
especially now with racist death threats and attacks and so
on and so forth, which is what the allegations are.
Prior to the charges being announced, the NAACP in Portsmouth
released a statement saying Alila is all caps now not
(41:47):
an attacker, and media headlines that allude toward that in
any way is shameful. We understand the sensitivity of the
sensitivity of these circumstances for both athletes and their families involved,
but this narrative must not go on. As Alila is
an honor student and a star athlete at the historic
ic Norcombe High School. From all accounts, she is an
exceptional young leader and scholar whose athletic talent has been
(42:10):
well documented and recognized across our state. End quote well
except for the part where she hits people in head
with batons if you ever see If you haven't seen
the video, that's another one. I would point you to
my website. I've got it up there for you at
Strictly Speaking dot org. You find in a lot of places,
no doubt, but if you're interested, take a look at
it there. Follow me on social media at Strictly Speaking

They made it official and DEM's are also trying to
cancel DOGE. But it's weird because in twenty ten they
were all for it. Good morning, I'm Bob for Hanson,

down to about sixty seven Friday Saturday, staying in the

to look beyond that. That's coming up at six ten.
Right now, we still have sixty seven at your official

Speaker 22 (44:29):
The question is can we get the sixty volt supermajority
threshold that's necessary.
Speaker 2 (44:32):
To pass it.
Speaker 5 (44:33):
In order to do that, we need Democrats sent a
majority leader John Thune there and right now the answer
is no.
Speaker 2 (44:39):
With the deadline approaching tomorrow before a shutdown.
Speaker 34 (44:42):
A congressional conundrum Republicans control the Senate, but in this
case need up to eight Democrats to break a filibus.
Schumer insists Democrats won't help. However, Pennsylvania's John Fetterman is
one Democrat who would vote with the GOP to avoid
a shutdown.
Speaker 5 (44:56):
And is Fox's Chad program. The Dems are floating in
all TI thirty day short term bill. By the way,
Chad mentioned John Fetterman, who continues to call out Democrats
for being weird, and.
Speaker 19 (45:08):
I would just ask Democrats like start talking like a
regular person.
Speaker 2 (45:11):
That was Fetterman on MSNBC.
Speaker 5 (45:13):
By the way, while DEM's complain about Elon and Doge,
they forgot that. Nancy Pelosi, when she was Speaker in
twenty ten, called for an end to wasteful spending. We've
got the video at KTRH dot com. A key deadline
for President Trump's plan to reduce the federal workforce takes
place today, the.
Speaker 35 (45:33):
Office of Personnel Management requesting agencies to submit agency reorganization
plans to include a significant reduction in full time positions,
as well as other ways to reduce costs. President Trump
and the Department of Government Efficiency are taking steps to
reduce the size of government. The deadline could signal more
reductions and layoffs to the federal workforce.
Speaker 2 (45:55):
Ryan Schmill's reporting.
Speaker 5 (45:57):
As of right now, the Democrats still have no clear

problems begin.

They also don't have any real freedom within the party.

how much they can, earn so they continued to. Work for,
example they applied For Social security without understanding that there
was a limit to how much they could.

Speaker 2 (50:06):
Team, yeah let's, uh let's follow up on that story
you just heard. There Bob brandson For. Jimmy by the,
way good. Morning it's seven minutes after six. O'clock now
that lead story there About Nancy. Pelosi you know this
is see remember the old commercials when you were. YOUNGER
i think they were mostly in the. EIGHTIES i don't
know the, Brain this is your brain and it chows
(50:30):
an egg and then it shows this is your brain
on drugs and it shows that egg being. Fried we
all remember those, commercials, Right that's kind of how this.
Is but it's with not, drugs but With trump and WITH.
Tds you, see there's this Is Nancy pelosi in her normal.
Speaker 7 (50:49):
State if our promises on, medicare we simply must make
the cuts some, wate fraud and abuse in medicare so
that the benefits and the premiums are.
Speaker 2 (51:03):
Untouched and then There's Nancy pelosi suffering From trump arrangement,
syndrome which Is trump is evil And Elon musk is
A nazi and they should both be thrown in. Prison you,
see that's what it. Is Nancy pelosi in twenty ten
said we need to cut the waste and fraud and
abuse in federal, spending particularly so we can keep our
(51:26):
promises on. Medicare, Well President trump is cutting the waste
and the fraud and, abuse the abuse in federal spending
so it can protect things Like, medicare and now she
absolutely despises. It that's what teds. Does it literally is a,
thing and she is a perfect example of. It in twenty,
(51:46):
ten let's cut out waste of fraud at, waste fraud
and abuse in, spending and in twenty twenty, five, well
we can't have, that we can't, have we can't, have you.
Know and that's the other part about entitlements. Too she's
what's really strange about this party currently is trying to
claim that What Elon musk is doing is going to
cut actually payments In medicare, Coverage medicare, payments And Social security,
(52:09):
payments entitlement spending as it, were to the, recipients when
what it's really going to do is indeed strengthen those
programs and create more funds to be made available to
the individuals who receive them by cutting out the waste
in the, fraud of the abuse in the systems that currently.
Exist when you save billions and, billions if not hundreds
(52:30):
of billions of dollars in a, program you typically then
have those hundreds of billions of dollars saved and ready
to be spent on the actual needy. Recipients that's kind
of how this. Goes but, yeah twenty, ten.
Speaker 7 (52:42):
We cannot keep our promises on. Medicare we simply must
make the cuts and waste fraud and abuse.
Speaker 2 (52:51):
Cuts to wait in the, waste fraud and. Abuse what
a novel. IDEA i, wonder wonder if anybody else has
ever thought of. That all, right let's get moving in

out that The New York times had nothing to cover
When Captain plagiarizer was was in The White. House but
now That Donald trump has, returned here we. Go let's
ramp up the fact. Checks Elizabeth, Ames Fox news contributor
joining us this. Morning good, Morning, elizabeth.
Speaker 38 (57:40):
Good, Morning thank you for having.
Speaker 2 (57:41):
Me, yeah quite an interesting editorial that The times ran,
saying here's what we're gonna.
Speaker 8 (57:47):
Do?
Speaker 2 (57:47):
Now what?
Speaker 38 (57:48):
Changed, well actually what change is That trump is back
in The White. House BUT i think that their tone
has changed just a, bit you. Know the common debacle
said they can't really you, know approach this Like trump
selection was a freak.
Speaker 4 (58:05):
Occurrence.
Speaker 38 (58:06):
Uh but and they can't also take the sort of.
Speaker 14 (58:09):
The hitler, uh you, know.
Speaker 38 (58:11):
The hitler, route Because kamala's failure showed them that you
can't keep you, know talking About trump As. Hitler, however
you can fact check, them, uh, like you, know, continually
and that's what they are saying that they're. Doing but
of course fact checking is a total rust for just
trying to. Discredit and they ran this article several days, ago,
(58:35):
uh saying that they're going to promise to fact check
everything he, says, which of course fact checking is in
the eye of the. Beholder and they they had you,
know questions from, viewers from from, readers, uh and they
asked the questions were. HILARIOUS i, mean the article was very,
long inadvertently. Hilarious one of the questions, was you, know
(58:56):
why can't The times use words such as propaganda or
life more frequently when reporting On? Trump and their answer
was basically that they didn't like the word. Lie but
they preferred falsehood and false. Statement, okay so this was
what you WERE i, mean, Basically The times is writing
for readers in the bluest of blue, states and that's
(59:16):
what their editorial content.
Speaker 2 (59:18):
Reflects, yeah and what's strange about, It, elizabeth is they're
not a shame to say that they're willing to write.
OFF i, MEAN i, remember you, know going back to
the nineteen eighties When Michael jordan was at the height
of his popularity and people in the black community wanted
to know why he wouldn't advocate for more black, issues
and he said Because republicans by sneakers. Too The times
is willing to write off any conservatives or Any republicans
(59:41):
or Any trump supporters that might be interested in picking
up one of the papers are. Subscribing, yes it's really quite.
Speaker 38 (59:47):
AMAZING i mean everything that they say About trump and
muss has a negative tone and it implies that something
sinister is going. ON i, mean in that article they mentioned, about,
well we're going to talk about How trump And musk
are upending the, government as if that's terrible right, away
there's no acknowledgment that there's need that there's a need
(01:00:08):
for a look at what money is being spent, on
and that is something that everybody agrees. Upon if you
look at the general, public it's a bipartisan consensus that the,
government you, know that there's. Waste there's, there there really is,
waste and that just doesn't get. Reported Everything, today the
big theme at the top of the front page was,
(01:00:29):
that you, know Musk is is now hiding his mistakes
on his, website you, know hiding them now so that
it's not like there are, actual you, know positive, accomplishments
that there's no mention of his positive cuts and, accomplishments
things that we no longer, need but that he's hiding his.
Speaker 2 (01:00:48):
Mistakes, yeah that's that's exactly. Right and then you, know
to really bring it, home we have to look back
and talk about what happened over the previous four. Years
Joe biden was a notorious. LIAR i, mean like it
was a bodily. Function he was a. Plagiarizer he lied
about everything at the start of his political, career including
out what he did in law school and how many
degrees he had and what his rank, was and all
(01:01:09):
of these kinds of things about his mental uh and
physical and cognitive. Decline over the course of the last four,
years they lied about, that and they never once it
didn't appear ANYWAY i have any interest in talking about
the quote unquote falsehoods coming from The biden.
Speaker 38 (01:01:23):
Regime, yes they tiptoed towards it in a couple of,
articles but they, basically you, know reported it as just
he's a little bit folksy and he wants to connect
with his with his audience by you, know telling colorful
stories and. Such but you, know they really this is
(01:01:43):
really the biggest scandal in our political, history the the you,
know the disguising or the avoiding of talking about his,
decline which was there from the. START i MEAN i
once had a conversation with people who said his who
knew his, friends and they were concerned about him when
he was first. Elected and this never got reported by
(01:02:04):
The New York. Times SO i think that's really quite.
Shocking now there is just to be you, know just
to be, Fair there is a discussion to be had
About trump's policies right. Now there is a, discussion and
all criticism does not mean it's politically motivated and. Wrong
but what they've, done they've discredited. THEMSELVES i, mean the
(01:02:25):
whole fact checking, idea which you, know there's a million
fact checking sites out, there and every left leaning you
know website has, them but they all are really not fact.
Checking they're basically meant to discredit the. Right, now someone
told me yesterday, that and you, KNOW i really don't
(01:02:45):
watch and read the mainstream media as much AS i used,
to but somebody told me yesterday, that you, know people
Like Lester holt are now routinely Saying trump said without,
Proof musk, said without, proof that's become you, know a,
mantra like it's on their fat it's on their style.
Sheet and that's quite disturbing and. Upsetting, really, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:03:06):
The bias is just as bad as it ever, Was
but you're, right they're trying to count it a little
bit and trying to put a bit of a better
face on. It Elizabeth, Ames Fox news contributor and. Author
thank you for the, Analysis, elizabeth have a great.
Speaker 38 (01:03:16):

standing in front of a. BURNING city i don't know
(01:20:40):
If it's minneapolis or where, it was but standing in
front of a burning city, and said the protests are.
MOSTLY peaceful i mean fires, raging everywhere, people fleeing running,
this vandalism smashing windows and. So forth but the protests were.
Mostly peaceful that's kind of WHAT was i was reminded
OF when I heard msnbc declare that, breaking windows, smashed
vehicles setting them, on fire burning, charging stations and so
(01:21:04):
on and. So forth these are just forms. Of protests
THAT'S what i can.
Speaker 41 (01:21:06):
Thank you also overnight have this post claiming That protests
tesla dealerships. Are illegal he said today he would label
violence against dealerships. Domestic terrorism and, YOU know i, am
judicious AND how i play?
Speaker 2 (01:21:19):
This sound he just called them protests and then said
there's violence. And vandalism how judicious? Are you so the
mainstream media needs to be called out. For This michael
schellenberger is among Those doing it's saying that this is
literally now a new kind, of variant if, you Will
of trump. Arrangement syndrome But it's musk. Derangement syndrome they
(01:21:42):
are literally set to a different place in. Their brains
they're triggered in, some way shape or form where they
can't think rationally or clearly whenever They Hear elon musk
because Of What elon musk. Is doing and by, the
way What Is elon musk, DOING well i, don't know

Carolina and Tennessee, and Georgia rescuing american astronauts stranded at
the space STATION because nasa doesn't have the technology to get,
him Down But elon musk DOES, with SpaceX and that's
probably going to, HAPPEN tonight i. Mean all and then
(01:22:27):
of course there's the matter of here's the wealthiest man in,
the world worth an estimated four to four hundred and fifty,
billion dollars steamrolling all the way to becoming the world's,
first trillionaire which. Is astounding and instead of just continuing
to pursue extraordinary successes with his businesses and staying out,
of things he knows that his country is. In trouble
(01:22:49):
he knows That The united states is going to go
bankrupt if it stays on its. Current path he knows
That The united states is going to eventually default on
its debt and everything is going to come. Crashing down
so rather Than just i'm looking not, for me he
puts all of it, at risk including his own personal
safety as here weather's death threats AND like, i said
attacks on, his properties attacks on, his company attacks ON the,
(01:23:11):
x platform and. So forth he weathers all of those
storms solely to do what's good for, the country and they're, just,
saying hey, you know these are just these, Are protests these.
Aren't terras what do you? Call it gunshots literally literally
were Fired At oregon. Tesla dealerships not to mention all
of the fires and the smashed windows and so on
(01:23:31):

(01:33:08):
were Canceled During the, george floyd protests slash riots, and
so forth, and you know the return, of you know
all of the calls for the abolition of police. And
so forth it's. Really really strange we thought we were past,
all of that and here we Go with multiple illinois
lawmakers pushing to legalize the tax on police for people
having mental. Health Quote Episodes Democratic State representative Lisa davis
(01:33:34):
in illinois is pushing for a bill that makes it
legal for anyone who's experiencing a mental crisis to. Attack
police officers under the terms, of the bill it would
be a defense against aggravated battery charges when the individual
being battered is a peace officer and the officer responded
(01:33:56):
to an incident in which the officer interacted with a
person whom are reasonable offer could be made that was
having a, mental health episode and the person with whom
the officer interacted is a document and mental has a
documented mental illness. And acted abruptly the bill PICKED up
as i said, Two Co Sponsors representatives Marcus Evans. And,
(01:34:17):
kelly cassidy currently A person in illinois can be charged
with aggravated battery if they harm, a police officer if
an individual whom the person knows to be a peace
officer or, community, policing volunteer firemen, private security officer, correctional
Institution employee Or Department of human services employee supervising or
controlling sexually dangerous persons or. Sexually violent persons. Blah blah
(01:34:38):
blah but if they, harm these people they're going to
be charged with battery if This, pass is However According To,
second cop city a blog That reports on, chicago policing
matters if, this pass is mental illness will now be
used as an excuse to attack and. Be police, officers
in fact there will be thousands of people who suddenly
have doctors notes that permit them. To attack cops the
(01:35:02):
cops can't. Do anything back the proposal would legalize attacks.
On peace officers other first responders, would be spared such
as firefighters. Like her husband ACCORDING to, one cwb, reporter
so really really. A DANGEROUS thing and i have read
a few comments over the course of the. LAST twelve
hours I guess since i, saw this yesterday. Cops are livid.
(01:35:25):

How?
Speaker 2 (01:40:39):
Are you, Hey?
Speaker 43 (01:40:41):
Good morning bob? How are you, i'm doing.
Speaker 2 (01:40:42):
Well thank you, So then again i've got most of
my retirement, in FIXED indextinuities so i don't have to
worry too much about what's happening on the mark on
the in the. Market, Right now yeah i'm doing okay,
in that regard but a lot of, people, are not
obviously and there's there's a. Lot of concern the, volatility this,
week of course is centered on what kind of an
impact the terarifs are. Going to have what? Do you
(01:41:04):
read what does you?
Speaker 16 (01:41:04):
Read?
Speaker 2 (01:41:04):
Right, now, richard.
Speaker 43 (01:41:07):
Well listen isn't it you just mentioned something?
Speaker 3 (01:41:09):
You said fixed so keep.
Speaker 43 (01:41:11):
This In mind the Times are the time article that
you're referencing is a. Bombastic scare tactic it's, a political
spin and what investors have to do is be careful
of being brought into some of THE worst headlines i
have seen in, a long time which elevates FEAR at
levels i haven't seen since maybe the market was. Down
(01:41:34):
twenty percent and if you keep, this IN perspective THE
s and p is down about four. Point eight percent
if you own bonds and, you're well balanced you're pretty
much flat, for the year which is a big difference
in what you're hearing out in main street media that
the whole world. Is falling apart that's absolutely. Not the
case so you have to keep your perspective and sort
(01:41:55):
of really look at what is the personality your portfolio
based on. What you're hearing if you've got all your
money in, these, high flyers listen if you're a money manager,
like we are we were trimming all that. Out last
year there was so MUCH euphoria over ai. And so
forth it's only a matter of time before money drains.
Out of that but if you own what we, call
value stocks if you own, food, and, beverage utilities healthcare
(01:42:18):
you've held. Up pretty well that indexes, Flat this year
BUT even THE s and p itself is down four,
point eight percent and you would think that the whole
world is coming to an end based on, main street
headlines and that's really unjust and.
Speaker 40 (01:42:30):
Unfair to investors is.
Speaker 2 (01:42:32):
The reason, They're, doing that richard because they expect that
the teriff wars are going, to last, longer you know
trade wars, if YOU will because i think MOST people
that i talk to anyway say that we are well
much better positioned as a country to handle a trade
war than, other countries are and it's going to make
them buckle, a lot more a lot more quickly. Than
people realize so are they thinking this is going to
(01:42:52):
be a. Long, term issue well.
Speaker 43 (01:42:55):
Here's the thing the biggest issue we've had is the
economy started slowing, down last year, last last quarter the
fourth quarter.
Speaker 40 (01:43:03):
Of the year why.
Speaker 43 (01:43:04):
Stimulus is draining this has been a government driven ECONOMY
since the fed started to take over the market after.
The financial crisis now you're going through This Detoxification or scott,
beston calls reprivatization which is causing, some you know ilk.
To the market because markets don't care, about redel blue they.
Speaker 2 (01:43:22):
Care about green so if, there's.
Speaker 43 (01:43:23):
Less stimulus no matter how bad the, money is spent the.
Speaker 1 (01:43:26):
Markets love it.
Speaker 43 (01:43:28):
With the tariffs tariffs, are not inflationary it's the it's
the going. BACK and forth i think that unnerves markets more,
than anything else and broadcasting it it makes it look
like we don't have a strategy and we're just flying
by the seat of.
Speaker 2 (01:43:42):
Our pants as.
Speaker 43 (01:43:43):
Supposed To say president trunk comes up with with the,
with the tariffs and he. Doesn't change anything this is what,
we're gonna do and not the next. DAY changes mind
i think markets can work properly in that, in that
space but, keep in mind the fire of, a market
downturn the fire of, slower canmic growth.
Speaker 1 (01:44:00):
Has already started this tariff talk.
Speaker 43 (01:44:02):
Talk adds gasoline to that.
Speaker 2 (01:44:05):
Fire that we're, seeing right now and that's.
Speaker 43 (01:44:08):
Pretty, small fire.
Speaker 2 (01:44:10):
Yeah and that's that's well said. And well received what
about the? Inflation report yesterday how much does that? Impact the,
Futures it helps it helps.
Speaker 40 (01:44:19):
Us coming down.
Speaker 43 (01:44:20):
It's, been stubborn okay it's been. Stubborn since pandemic WE'RE
at the i follow a DIFFERENT. Type of cpi it's THE.
Trim means cpi it gets all. The outliers out you're
at about two point three. Percent going forward that's CLOSE
to the fed target, of two percent which. Is perfectly
fine but what people are more concerned about is when
they go, to the store their prices are, still litivated
(01:44:42):
elevated although we have seen egg prices come down and
some other. Commodities come down so here's what's. Going to
happen if there are, tariffs on goods people are not,
Going to buy consumers, Are tapped.
Speaker 40 (01:44:52):
Out they're just going.
Speaker 43 (01:44:53):
To substitute goods and what the market's more worried, about
with terrorists. It's not inflation it's that companies are going
to have to. EAT those increases i Listen to a.
Walmart conference call.
Speaker 40 (01:45:05):
There is no room.
Speaker 43 (01:45:06):
To raise prices people do not have the. Ability to,
pay so therefore that's what we're. Seeing right now we're
seeing A situation where marcus have to reprice in the
fact that consumer demand might cool off and that margins
that have been really good.
Speaker 2 (01:45:21):
For companies are going.
Speaker 43 (01:45:22):
To come down but, Think. About this bob if you're
in a longer term environment and you have a balanced
portfolio and, what you're hearing you would maybe want to look.
At your portfolio you're thinking you're probably down, like twenty
percent and when you, look at it you're probably flat
or down slightly. Through the ear that's a big difference
than what you're hearing out there on. Main street media
and as if you, have an advisor your advisor should,
(01:45:44):
be level headed just looking, at the data, no political
spend and helping to make the right decisions without hearing
and reading all THESE articles that i see that look
like the financial next coming of, the financial crisis which is.
Speaker 40 (01:45:55):
Absolutely, nut true.
Speaker 2 (01:45:56):
Yeah that is a. Very great point you have to
keep emotion out of it and just look the data
and just look at the numbers and what they really
are or not what the. Media tells you but then
again that's. Always The, case richard Rosso certified financial planner
with some more sobering statistics and where. We, really are,
Richard thank you. We, Appreciate.
Speaker 4 (01:46:12):
It thanks, bob all right.

much stupidity exists And of course i'm REFERRING to what
i just heard on the radio regarding a law that

Not protect them no shortage of stupid stupid, In, this, World,
bob sincerely fernando Thank, you for nando and. You're exactly
right that story is about as stupid as. As stupid
(01:54:57):

as i mentioned a number of officers are sounding, off
on this some of them on video and some of them,
just in print and a COUPLE officers that i told

(01:55:17):
violence against cops which will invite violence in the form
of self. Defense from cops we are usually going to, win, that, effort, blanking.
Blanking BLANKING blanks and i literally have to bleep all

it's really makable and obviously, the point being they're going
to be people running to their doctors to get mental
health diagnoses so that they can, continue criminal activity and
when the cops, come for them they can, attack, And
say look i've got a. Mental health excuse i'm allowed.
To do this it's not. A good idea it's not
a good, idea for them it's not a good idea.

South, windows solutions okay. Seven, FORTY eight now i wanted
you to hear a Little Something, from bernie sanders and
the reason why is because we're about To have a
democrat shutdown. Of the government it's going To be, a
shoomer shutdown but they're going to continue to Try To,
blame PRESIDENT trump and i find it hilarious to listen
To People like bernie sanders say, things like, this.
Speaker 42 (02:00:09):
These, all you know the scariest times. In my Lifetime
that's all i'm going.
Speaker 21 (02:00:13):
To, take it.
Speaker 42 (02:00:14):
Subjectively the, truth you know it is not just they
want to get tax breaks to billionaires and cut programs.
Speaker 2 (02:00:21):
For working people if you combine that with.
Speaker 42 (02:00:26):
The power of the, oligarchy in general.
Speaker 2 (02:00:29):
The oligarchy he's calling the federal government And Oligarchy, under
president trump when it is. Literally the opposite it is
literally literally giving the power and the money back. To
the people but he said it's the scariest times of
his life because of giving tax breaks to billionaires and
cutting programs. For working people how about cutting salaries for
working people in, the federal government because that's what will
(02:00:52):
happen when your party shuts down the government tomorrow when
you guys vote down the bill that WAS. Passed the
cr it's A, simple bolt cr a continuing resolution that
is going to fund the government at its current level
for six more months while the whole, thing is debated
and you guys can have your say and have your
Big fight in congress About funding. The trump agenda this
(02:01:12):
is a simple cr and you guys are about to
shut the government. Down over it tell me more about
how these are. Your scariest times you combined up With
missed the.
Speaker 42 (02:01:19):
Musk owning twitter he is now trying to end what
the founding fathers were, pretty smart about creating a form
of government where there were.
Speaker 2 (02:01:28):
Checks and balances you don't think there's checks, and balances
now you don't think there are. Checks and balances this
is the check in the balance that's been missing for the.
Last several decades somebody checking on the spending of this
country and somebody trying to. Balance the checkbook there's your.
Checks and balances we have been spending like drunken whores.
(02:01:48):
For fifty years we have been just spending, ourselves into
oblivion to the point where. It is Unsustainable Here comes
president trump saying we've got to. Cut the spending find
out where the worst, wayte and waste fraud, and abuse
is and get. Rid of It He, tasks elon musk
because of, his technical expertise. To do it and, that's
the enemy, that's the oligarchy that's the lack of. Checks
(02:02:10):
and balances you've got federal judges who are are literally overstepping,
their own boundaries just completely eliminating, the three system three
tiered not three tier three. Chamber of GOVERNMENT what am i?
Trying to say THE what am i? Trying to say
the wording for. Crying out lot i'm a little getting
a little bit emotional. Here on this that our government
(02:02:32):
is three levels of government and they are all co equal.
Branches of GOVERNMENT that's what i was. Trying to say
co equal IS a word i could. Not figure out
the coeequal branches of government are being destroyed by federal
judges who are making rulings for the. Entirety of government
they have one little district they're supposed to be, in
charge of and they're making rulings over the. Entire federal
government and it has. Got to STOP that's what i
(02:02:54):
wanted To Say. About, Bernie, Sanders, okay sky mike what
do you? Want to say it's On the.
Speaker 4 (02:02:58):

(02:05:11):
already too there was a subcommittee Hearing Chaired by republican
keith's self that went off the rails a couple of
Days ago because keith self referred to one of the members,
of that, Committee that subcommittee sarah Tim. McBride from Delaware
by what sarah, tim McBride is which IS a guy i.
Speaker 33 (02:05:32):
Now recognize The, representative from, Delaware mister, McBride, Thank.
Speaker 2 (02:05:37):
You Madam Chair, ranking member, Keating, Also. Wonderful stuart chairman
the interruption you're about to hear now Is from the
democrat minority leader of that, of that subcommittee whose name

(02:05:58):

the left is loving The fact, that tim McBride Whose,
name IS sarah and i will give. THE name change
i can recognize that people are allowed to. CHANGE their
names i will not give the different sex nonsense pronouns
(02:06:20):
nonsense just because somebody puts on a wig and a skirt.
And Some lipstick but Tim McBride slash sarah McBride called,
chairman self, madam as like here's. My snappy comeback? What's
the comeback all you did was call a man by,
a woman's prefix, if you will which. Is just, ridiculous
(02:06:41):
it's absurd just as absurd as it would have been
for him to, call you miss because you are. Also
a guy the two, of your men so calling each
other by female prefixes is. Just simply. Nonsense it's absurdity
and the best summary of this entire thing came From
subcommittee chair. Keith self himself he Won On The michael
(02:07:03):

He CHOOSES right but i don't have to participate. In
his fantasy and there's the line to.
