Speaker 1 (00:01):
Well, I guess if by winning you mean he's still
there yet. Yes, he's still there. I mean this is
not the first problem with KP. George. We had that
whole you know, false charges of racism, you know, where
he claimed that he had a bunch of raceists that
are trying to prevent him from being elected for Ben
County judge. And it turned out, of course that was
all made up. And now we've got this. He did
(00:22):
put out a statement. I think this was on Friday
or Saturday. Here's what KP. George had to say. As
an elected official, I've always operated with integrity and transparency.
Let me be absolutely clear. There's nothing illegal about loaning
personal funds to my own campaign and later repaying that loan.
This is a standard and lawful practice. Unfortunately, this is
(00:43):
a continued example of Fort Ben County District Attorney's Office
weaponizing the government with an obvious political witch hunt. Periods,
allegations and accusations have been made without full context or
disclosure of the facts, deliberately manipulating the narrative to tarnish
my reputation and character. Of course, he was arrested, he's
out on bond. He has been charged with several counts
(01:05):
of money laundering of more than thirty thousand dollars but
less than a hundred and fifty thousand dollars. Again, I
guess this has to do with a campaign. We'll put
this in an air quote loan at this point until
we get more facts about what's going on here. Joining
us to talk about Fort Ben County, remember the Fort
Ben County GOP. Doctor Bobby Everley, Doctor Everley, Welcome to
our program sir, Just another thanks a lot, just another
(01:27):
problem with KP. George. The trouble just seems to follow
him wherever he goes.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Oh my gosh, you know what.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
It's a crazy situation, and it's kind of indicative of
the whole Democrat Party over there. I mean, we've had
racist attacks by you know, Terrell Patel, this incident a
judge during the last campaign. She's no longer a judge
by the way, to make a Carter, we voted her out.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
And it just seems like the Democrats can't get things
going on.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
So I'm interested to see how this plays out, you know,
because the way they attack each other, I mean, who
knows who's in the wrong, but the Democrat Party is
the ones losing for sure, and it really hurts all
of for Bend.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
So there, it sounds like what you're saying is that
they're kind of turned against each other. There that's to
blame Republicans or to claim this is a witch hunt
for the District training's office. Maybe they should be looking
in their own backyard.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
Well, yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying, and we've seen this.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
Anyone who knows for Ben and knows the internal politics
of the Democrats knows that they are tearing each other apart.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
And it's no wonder that they were. They've lost.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
We won seventy seven percent of our county wide races
this time around, really made a comeback from zero percent
in twenty twenty. And it's partly because the issues are
on our side, sure, but.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Also the Democrats are tearing at each other.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
They primary each other all the time, you know, four
or five people in the race because they can't stand
each other, and it's all about power, it's all about control,
and now they are scrambling. So I'd love people to
sit back, for the residents of Fort Ben County and
watch how this plays out, because you never know who's really.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Going to be on the losing end of this.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
As far as plots and schemes and corruption and disarray,
it's crazy over here.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Yeah, it certainly sounds that way. I know one thing
about KP. George. He's not afraid to play the victim,
is he?
Speaker 2 (03:19):
No?
Speaker 3 (03:20):
I mean we saw this in the twenty twenty two
campaign against Trevor Nell's. I mean, Trevor was running an
awesome campaign, absolutely stellar, the head of our ticket, and
then all of a sudden we have the press conferences
and the news release and all this montage of racist posts.
I even posted out there. I got a montage of
my own hate comments and posted it out there saying, hey,
(03:40):
this is politics, let's grow up. You know, this is
how it does. And it turns out that that was fake. So,
I mean, Trevor was a real victim in that whole situation,
and yet here we are, you know, three years later,
rehashing the same old stuff. So for Ben deserves a
lot better than this. As far as people playing the
(04:00):
race card, how about just voting for good candidates and good.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
Policy, good idea. Thank you for joining us, appreciate it.
