Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, seven twenty two now has promise. We want to
talk a little bit about the Maga rift that is
was kind of put out on stage for all to
see at America Fest in Phoenix over the weekend. Ben Shapiro,
Tucker Carlson, Megan Kelly among those who are taking shots
at one another trying to figure out how this whole
thing is going to work out, if the mega agenda
is going to be advanced in twenty twenty six heading
(00:22):
into the midterms midterms. Joining us now is Adam Johnson,
conservative personality who was at America Fest.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Adam, good morning, Good morning. How you doing sir?
Speaker 1 (00:31):
We're doing well. Thanks, appreciate you coming on. So were
you in the room when Ben Shapiro launched on Thursday
night full speed at both Candace Owans who was not there,
and well I shouldn't say both, but all three Candace
and Tucker and Megan Kelly all were in his crosshairs
on Thursday.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
Were you in the room, Yes, And you know, we
were surprised he'd been there because he wasn't on the
list of speakers until very late on.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Interesting, So what did you tell? What was your overall time?
Not only what he had to say. But then we
saw and heard, of course a lot of you know,
responses from Tucker Carlson, from Megan Kelly and and Candae Owans.
Again was not in attendance, but she did it on
her own platform. But what do you make of this,
this giant rift in the in the movement.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
Well, I don't find it to be atypical. I mean,
Republicans are very good at snatching the seed out of
the drawls of victory and you know, reconnical midterms and
the rights of a good job, just fighting each other.
You know, when Charlie left, it created a vacuum, and
everyone's trying to take the torch when it really should
be used more like a like a relay baton, because
I think it takes all of our voices. It's what
Charlie would have wanted.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Yeah, I agree with that. What was interesting about what
Ben Shapiro had to say, though, is that Charlie would
not a paraphrasing here. Of course, Charlie would not want
to platform somebody who platforms somebody like Nick Fuentez. I
mean he literally went off and identified by name the
things that Fine said, and it's attacking Jady vans jd
Vance's wife and things of that nature. He said, Charlie
(02:01):
wouldn't have wanted that. But then Andrew Covid came out
and said, after the fact, you know, Charlie would not
have silenced any voice, even ones that you know that
the platform those kinds of things. Does that get in
the way of the conservative agenda in your mind?
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Out it does. What it does is it makes the
tribal you know, we got it. We can't pretend that
there hasn't been, you know, tribal sides in the MAGA
movement from the beginning. I mean, we saw risks between
Elon Musk and Donald Trump, and you know these things
are going to happen. But you're exactly right that this
is exactly what Charlie would have wanted. The platform at
ancest that differing ideas where we hash them out, that
(02:34):
we figure out where we land in real time.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
The question is is how does it get hashed out?
Especially when you know the threat and I used that
term in air quotes from Steve Bannon, of course from
war room at at Shapiro was that game on, the
fight is on. Now they're going to spend You know
what would appear to be a good percentage of twenty
twenty six fighting with one another in that regard through
that tribalism, and how is that gonna How's that going
(03:00):
to help win the midterms?
Speaker 2 (03:03):
I don't think it will. And you know, moving forward,
I think what we should do is clearly identify what
the MAGA movement is. And you know, it's not just
one person's opinion, that's ever one's opinions. And I know
that the MAGA movement, as far as I'm concerned, was,
we're you know, we don't want to start new wars.
It's one of Trump's greatest things he's done, you know,
piece in the Middle East, things like this, And I
think the issue that I'm having is when we talk,
(03:24):
you know, we talk about Ben's point, Tucker's point, if
they very focus on Israel, and I think the MAGA
point is we're not just against sending foreign aid to Israel,
We're against sending foreign aid to everyone. You know, our
country is going through a very difficult time. Everyone's broke,
groceries are expensive when we have a young generation camp
buy homes, and that really should be the message that
we're we're that we're talking about not just isolating on
(03:45):
one country and whether they deserve our kindness, care and money.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
The strawphole that has done every year at America Fest
led to a predictable result Jade Vance, but he actually
got more support percentage. Why is it even President Trump
did prior? So will he be the unifying force here?
Will everybody come behind jd Vance over the course again
of not just the midterm year, but obviously beyond that.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
I do believe he will. Yeah, I know, I know
the Daily Wire wasn't on Team Trump for quite a
long time until Trump won, so you know they've changed
their tunes. But Eric houp Kirk came out and support
of JD. Vance and that is what TPUSA is. It
is it is her now. So I think he's got
a great endorsement. I'm voting for him, so I'm happy
to move forward.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Last thing, Adam, is the question about the turnout man,
because last year twenty one thousand sold out the America
Fest event, and this one the first one since Charlie's assassination.
Thirty one thousand is Charlie's message And is the Ministry
of TPUSA stronger than it ever was in his death?
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Yes? Absolutely, And at the individual level, right these people
who are speaking on stage, it's one idea, it's one person.
At the ground level, we talk about the individuals who
are there. They are passionate about Charlie's message, and they
are the foot soldiers. They are the ones going out
into the world and spreading that message. So I can
take a look at Charlie and Tucker and Candice and
all these people and say, yeah, that's just one person.
(05:11):
My message stays with me, and my message stays on
the ground with the people.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Adam Johnson, conservative personality and America Fest attendee, breaking down
the rift perceived or otherwise in the MAGA movement right now, Adam,
thanks for the time. We appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Merry Christmas, Mary, Christmas Steal
