Speaker 1 (00:02):
This is US Radio seven kt RH Houston and iHeartRadio
station Guaranteed Human. Now the latest news, weather, It's more
of what matters to you from the John Morris Services studios.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Hunter Biden turns on Joe and the Supreme Court just
made Trump's job in deporting illegals tougher.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
I'm Bob France and for Jimmy Barrett. This is your
five o'clock report on news Radio seven forty ktr H.
Cliff Sunder is going to have those stories with the news.
We're gonna get a look at the traffic. Now, this
guy Mike, Well maybe and maybe we've got a traffic

(00:48):
accident in the traffic center. I'm sure that's not the case,
but we'll check in with Mike in just a bit.
We do have morning fog and afternoon clouds on the
dock at for today about seventy seven for a high,
partly cloudy tonight down to about sixty five. We'll tell
you about Christmas morning, tomorrow and beyond when we check
in with Terry Smith at about five to ten. Right now,

(01:10):
we have let's freshen it up here sixty seven degrees
at your official severe weather station. News Radio seven forty KTRH.
Now let's get the morning news. Here's Cliff Sawners.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
Good morning, Bob France, and Merry Christmas Eve to everyone
out there. Five oh one on KTRH our top story.

Speaker 5 (01:26):
One of the failures was the way in which they
executed the withdrawal from Afghanistan. I think it was an
obvious failure.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
That is Hudger Biden going off on his father Joe's presidency,
singling out Afghanistan and the border disaster.

Speaker 5 (01:40):
We don't want immigrants that are coming here illegally, draining
us of resources and also in being prioritized above people
that are actual literal heroes.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
Telling the Sean Ryan Show, he's not sure he's a
Democrat anymore. President Trump has closed the border. Off course,
he's trying to deport illegal aliens. But the US Supreme Court, well,
it just made his job that much harder.

Speaker 6 (02:07):
The Trump administration so far has not identified a source
of authority allowing the military to execute the laws. In Illinois,
a Supreme Court order concludes justices are refusing to lift
a lower court's order blocking President Trump from deploying National
Guard troops in the Chicago area. It is not a
final ruling, but it serves as a temporary setback for

(02:29):
the administration.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
That is Fox's Jared Haweper and elsewhere. The Trump administration
is deploying three hundred and fifty National Guard troops to
New Orleans ahead of the new year. This is on
top of the immigration crackdown already underweight in the city.
The White House continues to push back on the biased
sixty minute segment on illegal aliens held in l Salvador.

(02:51):
Of course, that piece was pulled before it ever aired.

Speaker 7 (02:54):
Every one of those proditioners at sixty minutes engage in
this revolt.

Speaker 8 (02:57):
Fire them, Cleanhouse, fire.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
Them, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller on Fox.
The administration says CBS did not use a statement provided
to them for the piece. CBS's Barry Weiss is taking
heat from the left and her employees for spiking the story.

Speaker 9 (03:14):
Not only did they leak the whole internal fight to
the newspapers, this Global TV actually aired the segment on
the internet, so all of the leftists who love sixty
minutes can see what they concocted.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
Tim Graham with the Media Research Center says Weiss wanted
to give the White House time to comment, but that
was too much for the leftists at CBS. At the
end of the day, it's just the mainstream media doing
mainstream media things.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
For Meet the.

Speaker 10 (03:41):
Press, host Chuck Todd told newsmas that public distrust in
the news media is caused largely by big tech and
algorithms that drive people to content they agree with to
Paul University, Media studies professor Jeff McCall says Todd is
missing the bigger point.

Speaker 11 (03:54):
Confirmation bias is a factor caused to certain extent fight
algorithms in big tech, but there's much more going on
than it. Starts with the traditional media rejections of standards
and fairness, and they're in praise of political activism.

Speaker 10 (04:08):
And he adds that Todd was one of the worst
examples of that activism during his time at NBC News.
Corey Jolson, who's Radio seven forty KTRH five oh four now.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
Next year is going to bring some big time change
to the Texas Congressional delegation, with nine members leaving at
the end of their current term. Some have been in
Washington for years and with their departures to state does
lose a little bit of cloud.

Speaker 12 (04:29):
I don't have as many people advocating for Texas from
a position of authority and power.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
Rice As Mark Jones says, senior congressmen are being replaced
with freshmen who rarely get important leadership positions. Another member
of the Texas delegation may have his eyes on a
bigger prize. In twenty twenty eight, Texas Senator Ted Cruz
is said to be considering a run for president.

Speaker 13 (04:52):
A straw poll run by Turning Point in USA found
out JD Vance is the favorite. Ted CRUs got less
than one percent of the vote.

Speaker 8 (04:59):
Just kind of separate himself a little bit.

Speaker 13 (05:01):
Texas political strategist Vinti Michello says this is part of
a larger divide within conservatism.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
Turning Point is leading the MAGA movement.

Speaker 13 (05:08):
Santa Cruz, he says, place more to the traditional wing
of the GOP.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
That's katr h's Michael Bord in Austin, we told you
yesterday that Governor Greg Abbott wants a Chief State Prosecutor
position created to deal with soft on crime.

Speaker 14 (05:21):
DA's sometimes when you put something out there alike, everybody
kind of gets the word and basically starts doing what
they're supposed to be doing. So it could have an
effect book legislatively and figuratively.

Speaker 4 (05:34):
Andy Kahn with Houston Crime Stopper says this idea is
obviously in its early stages, but he's excited to see
what may wind up coming from it. Closer to us
here in Houston, we are finding out more about why
the police chief in Humble is on unpaid leave.

Speaker 15 (05:49):
The eight page report makes note of several challenges identified
by personnel within the department. According to the forty employees
out of ninety in the department who filled out the
in the report, it states many of those who responded
expressed concerns involving leadership practices.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
That is, Mario Diaz with our TV partner Channel two
Conro Firefighters a fa a lawsuit against the city alleging
it violated Texas law and the will of local voters
by rejecting a valid petition to place collective bargaining on
the May twenty twenty six ballot. The union says it's
submitted more than the legally required number of signatures.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
Five oh six.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
The Houston Rockets losing to the Clippers in Los Angeles
late last night the final one twenty eight to one
oh eight. They are back in action Tomorrow, Christmas Night
against the Lakers. Pregame at six on our sister station,
Sports Talk seven ninety. I'm Cliff Saunders on Houston's News,
weather and Traffic station, News Radio seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 16 (06:52):
Traffic and weather when you need it most every ten
minutes on the tens. This is Houston's Morning News with
Jim barrettan the Houston Morning News Team.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
It is, indeed, in a good morning to you, Merry
Christmas Eve, is indeed the right thing to say to
start today. It is seven minutes after five o'clock on
the twenty fourth morning of the twelfth month, in the
ear of our Lord twenty twenty five.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
So hopefully you are ready for the day.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
Probably still going to get an opportunity to go out
and race out and spend some more money and grow
the economy. But it doesn't need a whole lot more help,
because the economy is on its way up. What a
phenomenal piece of news yesterday for the Trump administration, third
quarter closing with a four point three percent economic spike,

(07:39):
which is well above expectations. And this is exactly what
the Trump administration and the Republican Party quite frankly needed
to hear heading into the twenty twenty six mid term elections.
It's almost a miracle if you think about it, when
you look at where the inflation rate was under the bidenminstration.

(08:01):
It averaged for four years five percent. That's inflation, all right,
and that's way higher than the one point nine percent
inflation that was averaged under Donald Trump in his first term.
So in just one calendar year, actually eleven months of
his policies, President Trump's policies kicking in, the inflation rate

(08:22):
reported last week just two point seven percent, so down
from the five point the five percent average under Joe Biden.
That's inflation rate. Now we have economic GDP growth indicators,
and we have more incredible news, which is that four
point three percent the nation's GDP that's the value of

(08:43):
all goods and services it produced, rose at an annual
rate of four point three percent in this third quarter
July to September period. The figure is above economist forecasts
of three percent and the three point eight percent growth
in the prior quarter. Consumer space, which is what we've
been doing for Christmas in record numbers.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
We'll talk about that a little bit.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Accounts for roughly seventy percent of overall economic activity, and
that rose at three and a half percent annualized rate,
up from two and a half percent from the in
the April to June period. Helping to fuel that stronger output,
US exports expanded eight point eight percent, while imports, which
subtract from the GDP, fell four point seven percent. Yes,

(09:30):
you can. You can thank the tariffs for that. Government
spending increased two point two percent, investment in intellectual property
including artificial intelligence grow five point four percent. The total
US GDP standing right now at roughly thirty one trillion dollars.
But that's a huge, huge piece of news and great

(09:52):
news for the American people, for the American manufacturer, for
the American retailer, for the American consumer. Everybody is happy
with this. The fastest annual pace in two years in
the third quarter of the year, according to that government
data released yesterday, So big, big news for Trump. He
of course is thrilled about that and should be to
reverse all of the economic calamities that were caused under

(10:17):
the Biden administration in just eleven months and to put
us on this path to getting up over five percent
six percent potentially GDP growth in you know, the coming quarters,
especially once the One Big Beautiful Bill kicks in, which
is going to mean lots of more income that is
untaxed as people get more money in their pocket if

(10:40):
they're in the tip economy because no tax on tips,
no tax on overtime. All of these things are coming
in twenty twenty six, right after the first of the year,
and the economy is going to go like gangbusters. But
even before getting to the One Big Beautiful Bill, this
is one big, beautiful piece of news for the Trump
administration and most importantly for Eric and consumers, a big,

(11:02):
big deal on the economy.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
All right, So that's Merry Christmas Eve. It is five
to eleven.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
Let's see if we can connect this time to the
traffic center and mister sky Mike.

Speaker 17 (11:11):
It is Eric sharp End for sky Mike right now.
He could be in traffic, but not really. For right now,
everything seems to be looking pretty good on your roadways.
I ten the Katie Freeway, you're looking at it under
thirty minutes to get from the Grand Parkway into downtown.
I forty five the Golf Freeway coming in from NASA
Parkway to downtown, you're.

Speaker 3 (11:29):
Looking at about twenty minutes.

Speaker 17 (11:30):
And the other end of forty five the North Freeway,
about twenty to twenty five minutes from Spring all the
way into the center of town. I'm Eric Sharp and
the Ability Tree Experts Traffic Center.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
That's well done. That's a pinch hit single right there.
I we'll take it. What do we got from Terry Smith?

Speaker 8 (11:46):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
Let's ask Terry Smith what's coming up for the forecast? Hey,
Terry helps?

Speaker 18 (11:50):
Hey, welcome Eric, and hopefully sky Mike finds his I
know what it is.

Speaker 4 (11:55):
It's the fog that's got him confused.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
Ah, that could be.

Speaker 18 (11:59):
Yes, we have quite a bit of fog this morning.
Visibilities are low. The Dense Fog Advisory is back and
that'll be with us until about ten am. That's when
the visibility should start to improve. It's going to take
a little while, though, for the sunshine to show up.
We'll get a partly cloudy afternoon. It looks like looks
like another warm day, much like what we had yesterday.

(12:21):
Temperatures mid seventies to low eighties. Now, if you're heading
out for Christmas services this evening or just to visit
friends and family, you may run into some fog late tonight.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
It's going to be a rather warm night, mid to.

Speaker 18 (12:34):
Upper sixties and Christmas Day, cloudy in the morning, some
sunshine later on, still temperatures mid seventies to low eighties.
That really doesn't change through the weekend Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
We're dry, highs ranging from the mid seventies to low
eighties through Sunday.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
All right, yeah, very well, thank you so much, Terry.
Right now we are at sixty seven degrees at your
official severe weather stations Radio seven forty KTIH.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
Pasadena, Sharptown, Southwest.

Speaker 16 (13:01):
Next on the ten Time Saving Traffic CON seven Ktright.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
All right, it is five eighteen now, good morning to
you once again. I'm Bob France, sitting in for Jimmy Barrett.
If you're up early on this Christmas Eve, getting the
day and the holiday started fantastic. Thank you for that,
and if you are interested in carrying through, I invite
you to join me for my podcast.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
I've got a new podcast. It started just last week.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
It's brand new and it is we're having a great
time with it, talking about many of the same things
we're talking about here in Houston's morning News. It's called
Strictly Speaking with Bob France strictly speaking, unfiltered to be
more precise, and if you happen to be on the
rubble channel, you want to give it a like and
a follow and a subscribe.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
That would be amazing.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
One of the things we're going to talk about is
the continued growth of and the rebounding of the horrific
bidenflation leveled economy. It was, it was horrific for the
last four years. Everybody knows it. And despite the Left
trying to get fast light the American people into thinking
things are worse and that there's an affordability crisis, Trump

(14:06):
is fixing all of it, exactly as he said in
his live address to the nation last Wednesday, one week
ago today, in fact, said he inherited a mess, and
he's fixing all of it.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
And lo and behold, it's true.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
The inflation number two point seven percent, much lower than
economists expected, and now the GDP four point three percent,
much higher than the economists expected. You'd think that they
would start expecting the unexpected when it comes to President
Trump's results, because he is proving to be an economic wizard.
We'll have more on that in a minute right now.

(14:40):
Though it is A five twenty. So we're going to
check the drive again and we've got a mic. It's
just not the sky Mike. We've got Michael Scott, who's
got the traffic for us.

Speaker 19 (14:48):
Michael, well, good morning. We're off to a good start
on this Christmas Eve morning. Reports of a disabled eighteen
wheeler Sam Houston Tollway southbound to Kip.

Speaker 20 (14:57):
Would drive in that right lane.

Speaker 8 (14:59):
Don't forget about it.

Speaker 19 (15:00):
The ongoing road construction in the downtown area Ty ten
to Katie Freeway westbound between forty five the North Freeway
at Heights Yale Street. Michael Scottthegenerator Supercenter, dot Com Traffic Center.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
All right, thank you, and we've got some morning fog again.
It's been the theme this week and afternoon Cloude's highest
seventy seven Tonight partly cloudy, down to sixty five. Christmas morning,
similar with morning fog, but warmer than today, eighty one. Tomorrow,
Friday partly cloudy and eighty then Saturday and Sunday in
the low eighties before temperatures return to normal down in

(15:36):
the upper fifties on Monday. And right now we have
sixty seven at your official severe weather station is Radio
seven forty ktr H. We'll check the headlines now with
Cliff Saunders.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
Thank you, Bob is five point twenty one. Death tolling,
the Galbiston Bay plane crashes up to six as we're
brought to you by G and M Auto Leasing. Congress
has just a seventeen percent approval rating, and tonight's powerball
jack one point seven billion dollars. Get the latest news
anytime at KTRH dot com. Our next update is at

Speaker 20 (16:06):
A series of events can't afford to miss.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
In any event, the affordability prices lower, our interest rate
checky following Narco terrace out of the water use radio.

Speaker 8 (16:15):
Seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 3 (16:18):
All right, five point twenty one.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Now a little bit more on those economic numbers to
get our day started. What better way to start Christmas
Eve than with good news about all of our money
and our economy.

Speaker 21 (16:27):
We are looking right now at the GDP number at
four point three percent is the actual number versus an
estrad of three point three percent, Mark Tepper.

Speaker 8 (16:34):
Your reaction.

Speaker 22 (16:35):
So last week we talked about inflation coming in lower
than expected. Now economic growth is one full percentage point
faster than expected it was supposed to come in at
three point three, came in at four point three. This
is a direct result of everything President Trump has put
in place. Net exports are on the rise because of
Trump's tariff policy, which is leveling the trade playing field.

(16:57):
AI's increasing productivity, business scissor investing in spending, and the
consumer remains strong.

Speaker 3 (17:04):
And just think next.

Speaker 22 (17:05):
I think, well, next quarter, they'll they'll end up getting
an extra one hundred and fifty billion dollars in refund
checks that they can then deploy and spend as well.

Speaker 21 (17:15):
So great number, great number, four point three percent. And
I've got to say, when I see a GDP of
four point three percent, I have to believe five percent
is not far away. And that, of course, is what
Louis Navelair told us last week, Mark that we're going
to see a five percent GDP handle in the first
half of the year.

Speaker 22 (17:33):
He looks like nostrodamus right now.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
I mean, he almost predicted that.

Speaker 8 (17:38):
On the head.

Speaker 22 (17:40):
Obviously, five percent is well within our reach, especially given
the consumer tailwinds I just mentioned.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
And especially when you consider what I mentioned last segment,
which is the fact that the one Big Beautiful Bill
is going to be implemented after the first of the year,
and that is going to start putting so much more
money in the pockets of American consumers. And what do
we do most of the time, This is not always
it's a great thing, because we do need to save
for rainy days and for four to one ks and
for five twenty nine's and so forth, but we like

(18:08):
to spend it. And more money coming in and more
spending happening leads to obviously economic growth, jobs, and so forth.
So huge news yesterday, and that was of course Mornings
with Maria Barbaromo on Fox Business Live with that report
on it. The rough news for the Trump administration this
morning came from the Supreme Court. They rejected the Trump

(18:31):
administration's request to allow the President to proceed with deploying
National Guard troops to Chicago. This is going to be
considered a win for JB. Pritzker and for Mayor Brandon Johnson,
who of course has said, no, we don't want federal
troops in Chicago to help defend ICE because we don't
want ice either.

Speaker 3 (18:52):
We want our criminals to be left alone.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
We want our illegal aliens exactly where they are, so
keep all of your law enforce and stuff away from
our radical, dangerous, murder capital type city. All right, they
didn't say it in all those ways, but that's exactly
what this is. It's why they got to stay. The
justices declined the administration's emergency request to overturn a ruling

(19:18):
by the US District Judge April Perry, a Biden appointee,
that had blocked the deployment of the troops. An appeals
court also refused to step in. The Supreme Court court
took more than two months to act, and now some
of the you know, it's weird we talk about this
conservative court. The left is freaking about this conservative activist

(19:39):
court that is six to three in terms of conservative
over liberal. And I always, by the way, reject that characterization.
It is not a conservative group of judges or a
liberal group of judges. It's either originalists who believe in
the Constitution has written, or it's activists who like to
change it for their purposes.

Speaker 3 (19:59):
And that's lit.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
You've got activists wearing black robes, and then you've got originalists.
But we don't even have a six to three originalist
court because some of the individuals, and quite frankly, these
are Trump appointees, are not reliable, consistent constitutionalist justices. Two
of Trump's appointees in this case, Amy Cony, Barrett and

(20:21):
Brett Kavanaugh joined with the loons, you know, Katanji, Brown, Jackson, Sodamayor,
and Kagan to oppose President Trump's rights as the president
of the United States to protect the people and to
protect federal law enforcement. So they blocked the deployment of
the troops and some of the like I said, some
of the supposed originalist judge justices on the Court sided

(20:46):
with the activists. Only three of them, Alito, Thomas, and
Gorsich publicly dissented against this decision. The majority wrote that
at this preliminary stage, the government has failed to identify
a source of authority that would allow the military to
execute the laws in Illinois. And the Trump administration plans

(21:06):
to continue, according to the White House, working day in
and day out to safeguard the American public in Chicago
and elsewhere.

Speaker 3 (21:12):
So we'll see what happens after this.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
But that was a blow for the Trump administration by
the Supreme Court. All right, five twenty six, what do
you say we see where the money is headed? On
Christmas Eve, a Bloomberg Business report coming from Courtney Douneaho.

Speaker 23 (21:27):
Good Morning. VP is selling majority stake and it's Castro
Lubricants business to investment firms Stone Peak Partners. The energy
giant is shedding assets to reduce its debtload and turn
around years of lagging performance that put the company in
the crosshairs of an activist investor. Turning to trading, The
S and P five hundred rows for a fourth straight

(21:47):
day yesterday, hitting an all time high on the back
of tech shares. The Dow gained eighty points this morning.
Futures are holding steady. The stock market will close early
today ahead of the Christmas holiday, and lots of US
are gearing up to travel if we haven't already, and
the airlines are expected to fly a record number of
passengers over the holidays. According to lobbying group Airlines for America,

(22:10):
an average of two point nine million passengers daily will
travel between the nineteenth and January fifth. Triple A says
domestic airfares over the period will average nine hundred dollars
around trip m Courtney's Donahope Bloomberg Business on news radio

Speaker 3 (22:29):
You are Houston's News.

Speaker 1 (22:32):

This is News Radio seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 20 (22:38):
Trive Everywhere with the IRP.

Speaker 16 (22:41):
More of what's happening now from the John Morris Services Studios,
much to the chagrin of the left.

Speaker 2 (22:48):
The Trump economy is winning and Texas makes another move
on care and the CCP. Good morning, I'm Bob France
and for Jimmy Array, Cliffs Sanders has that. Details on
those stories and more coming right up. First, we're gonna
check traffic and weather, and here's Michael Scott.

Speaker 9 (23:03):
Well, so far, so good.

Speaker 24 (23:04):
On the area roadways.

Speaker 19 (23:05):
We took a look at two twenty five moving eastbound
from six to in the e Sloop over to one
fifty six. That is currently a twelve minute drive with
no delays if you're moving along it. In the East
Freeway heading eastbound from downtown to Spur three point thirty,
that is currently a sixteen minute trip, again no delays.
To contend with Michael Scott in the Ability Tree Experts

(23:27):
Traffic Center.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
All right, thank you, morning fog today, afternoon clouds high
going to be about seventy seven tonight, more clouds down
to about sixty five. Christmas morning, gonna be a little
bit warmer. We'll tell you all about it with Terry
Smith coming up at five point forty. Right now, I
have sixty seven degrees at your official severe weather station.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
News Radio seven forty kt r H and now the
morning news. Here's cliffs Howners.

Speaker 4 (23:51):
Thank you, Bob Merry. Christmas Eve everyone, five point thirty
one on KTRH. Our top story is your money.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
We've got more jobs, lower energy costs, and lower interest
rates coming.

Speaker 8 (24:04):
This is the Golden age coming.

Speaker 4 (24:07):
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnik reacting on Fox to the wopping
four point three percent year over year growth we saw
on the economy in the third quarter, well above expectations.
Dow futures are down slightly this morning, after closing up
yesterday by nearly eighty points. Oil is up to over
fifty eight dollars a barrel this morning. Meantime, the statewide

(24:28):
average for gasoline dropped two cents over ninety two forty
three gallon. Ustonians are paying an average of two forty
and that was going to help you if you're road
tripping for Christmas.

Speaker 25 (24:37):
What's great for the American people is on average, gas
prices are down twenty one cents compared to last year.
Thank you to Donald Trump's Energy Dominance policy.

Speaker 4 (24:47):
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy. Yes, it's early, but right now
we do have fourteen delayed flights out of Bush and
or Continental this morning, one out of Hobby. We will
keep an eye on that if you're flying today. Up
on five point thirty three on KTRH and let's go
to Washington, where Democrats are still complaining about President Trump's
strikes on drug traffickers. Oklahoma Senator Mark Waynemullen says this

(25:11):
is typical of the left.

Speaker 26 (25:12):
You can't explying crazy because we all know the numbers.
In twenty twenty four, we lost more Americans to drug
overdoses than we did at US personnel in the entire
Vietnam War.

Speaker 4 (25:23):
Adding that the only people who think this isn't a
good idea are deranged Democrats, which leads us to Texas
Democrat congresswoman and Senate candidate Jasmine Crockett, who's raising eyebrows
yet again.

Speaker 27 (25:36):

letter to Attorney General Ken Paxton asking if he can
stop schools tied to the Foreign Terrorist Organization CARE or
the CCP from getting school choice voucher funds.

Speaker 29 (26:38):
Cutting these schools off seems like a no brainer when
it comes to national security.

Speaker 30 (26:42):
The Chinese government and organizations like CARE have agendas which
do not comport with a healthy society here in the
United States.

Speaker 29 (26:50):
National security expert Ed Trazanski says more officials need to
treat the CCP and care like the threat they are.

You couldn't buy anything, but you could lease land up

and traffic station, News Radio seven forty k TRH.

Speaker 16 (29:23):
Now back to Jimmy Barrett and the Houston Morning News team,
Houston's Morning News.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
All right, it is five thirty seven. Jimmy, of course
is off for Christmas week. I'm Bob Franz. So happy
to be with you once again today. Merry Christmas Eve
to you. So another court situation. President Trump is having
a rough one, at least this week. Supreme Court, as
we told you, ruled against him with respect to deploying
National Guard to Chicago to oversee protecting ICE agents and

(29:54):
ICE facilities as they continue their operations, their deportation operations.
And now another on this one, a federal judge, not
the Supreme Court, but a federal judge in New York
cleared the way for their green light law, which says,
the Trump administration can't stop the state from giving drivers'
licenses to legal aliens, that's the problem. A federal judge

(30:18):
on Tuesday cleared the way for New York so called
green light law, ruling against the Trump administration's efforts to
block the state from giving people drivers licenses without requiring
proof that they are in the US legally.

Speaker 16 (30:30):
A U.

Speaker 3 (30:30):
S District judge.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
Named Anne Nardaci found that the Justice Department, which sued
the Governor of New York, Athy Hochel and State Attorney
General Letitia James, had failed to prove its claim that
the state law sought to invalidate federal law, or that
the measure unlawfully regulates or unlawfully discriminates against the federal government.

(30:53):
Trying to figure that out, how how on earth does
it not law require identification? And identification can only be
given in terms of drivers, at least to my understanding
of it, in terms of driver's licenses to people who
do indeed show that they are here legally. Why on

(31:13):
earth would you give somebody a driver's license which can
be presented potentially for voting purposes, to people who don't
have voting rights in the United States? This is a
recipe for voter fraud, a recipe for disaster. But then again,
why should we be surprised. This is what we get
from the federal courts when they are in full on
stop Trump mode. Attorney General Pambondi alleged when announcing the

(31:38):
lawsuit that Hochel and James were prioritizing illegal aliens over
American citizens, as the the state law blocks federal agents
from trying to enforce immigration laws from seeing illegal immigrants
criminal driving records during traffic stops. Nardacci wrote in ruling
that her job was not to evaluate the desirability of

(31:58):
the laws a policy matter, but to determine whether the
administration's arguments prove its claims that the statute violates the
US Constitution's supremacy clause, which establishes that federal laws overrules
state laws, and Nardacci said the administration has failed to
state such a claim. Again, this is just more judicial activism.

(32:20):
These are the robes of activists, not actual judges. And
that's of course why it was so important during the
Biden years. You know that he got as many of
those activists confirmed as possible because of things like this.
This is what they do When they can't win at
the ballot box to stop Donald Trump, they go to

(32:40):
the courtroom to stop Donald Trump. It's just one obstacle
after another in this case in favor of and supporting
illegal aliens over American citizens and American election integrity. It's
a sad site to behold, to be quite honest with you.
All Right, it is five forty. Let's see where we're
going on how we're getting there. To check in out
with trafficking weather with Michael Scott.

Speaker 19 (33:03):

Terry Smith at the Weather Channel has Christmas Eve forecast
and beyond for Ust.

Speaker 18 (33:34):
Hello Terry, Hey, good morning. Well it's a little bit
gray in the morning today. It looks like it'll probably
be a little bit gray on Christmas morning as well.
We've got this very warm, muggy airmass that's hanging around,
so we're seeing the fog late at night, early in
the morning. We've got it again, Dense fog advisory until

(33:54):
ten o'clock this morning, so visibility may be an issue
if you're heading to the air ports. Just keep that
in mind. No need to rush, just get there safely.
Nice stretch of weather. Otherwise, we've got a little bit
of sunshine. We certainly have got plenty of warm weather
flirting with some record high temperatures probably the next couple
of days mid seventies to low eighties today, Tomorrow, Friday, Saturday,

(34:18):
and Sunday. Cold front should help us start to well.
It'll come on through sometimes Sunday, so we've got some
cooler weather by Monday, but we're dry, warm through Sunday.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
All right, good stuff, Terry, thank you.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
Right now, we have sixty seven degrees at your official
severe weather station, News Radio seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 8 (34:39):
I live in Katie, I live in the Woodlands.

Speaker 16 (34:41):
Next on the ten, You're reliable forecast on seven forty KTRH.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
Okay, it's five forty eight. Good morning to you once again.
I'm Bob Frands sitting in for Jimmy. So CBS is
in the midst of a mess quite simply because well
there's CBS, and they don't they don't react and repe
well when somebody tries to clean up their journalistic standards.
Barry Weiss was appointed editor in chief of CBS News

(35:08):
a short while back, and Barri is at the center
of a story in which Sixty Minutes was supposed to
be airing a story about the Sea Cott detention facility
in l Salvador, in which, or to which I should say,
a few dozen trendy Aragua members were sent during part
of the deportations earlier this year, and they were going

(35:30):
to do this Seacott story about how terrible life is
there and about all of the dramatic things involved in it.
And right before the story was supposed to air, it
was spiked by the editor in chief. After sixty Minutes
finalized its inside Seacott report last Thursday, CBS sent the
White House a request for comment. A White House spokesperson

(35:52):
responded within a few hours. This according to a report
on Fox News, a White House spokesperson responded within a
few hours The quote was not included though in the
sixty Minutes report, so you can judge for yourself as
to whether or not it should have been included. The
statement from the White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson says that

(36:12):
quote sixty Minutes should spend their time and energy amplifying
the stories of angel parents whose innocent American children have
been tragically murdered by the vicious illegal aliens that President
Trump is removing from the country and sending two places
like Seacott. In other words, instead of the sad boy
it aren't conditions tough in this prison, how about how

(36:36):
tough things are for the victims of those prisoners and
the family members.

Speaker 3 (36:41):
So that's where it sits right now. Coming up, we're
gonna check with Tim Graham.

Speaker 2 (36:44):
Media Research Center with NewsBusters check in a little bit
about what CBS is going to do from here and
how people feel about spiking stories like that. We'll do
that after we check the traffic and the weather once again.
It's five point fifty right now, So in for Sky
Mike today, Michael Scott on the drive, Michael.

Speaker 19 (37:02):
Well, big issues on the eastbound nine ten from sixteen,
the East Loop to the east Sam Houston Parkway that

you're traveling along iten to Katy three Way heading westbound
from six to ten to the west Loop to the
West Sam Houston Tollway that should take you no more
than five minutes.

Speaker 3 (37:19):

Speaker 2 (37:26):
Center, all right, thank you, and Terry Smith's forecast calling
for well, calling for its is there fog dens Fog
advisory in effect until ten this morning. It's going to
be warmer this afternoon or high round seventy seven. When
that fog lifts, it's still going to be cloudy. It's
going to stay cloudy tonight, sixty five, Christmas morning, very
similar morning fog but then warming into the lower eighties.

(37:49):
Friday partly cloudy and eighty and then Saturday Sunday also
in the low eighties before starting to return to normal

we're looking at sixty seven at your official severe weather station,

Speaker 20 (38:38):
Next on the ten.

Speaker 2 (38:39):
All right, we know about the weird history between the
Trump administration and CBS News. Trump sued CBS and One
for their deceptive editing of a Kamala Harris piece that
had resulted in what some consider an incind contribution during
the twenty twenty four election cycle. It's just taken another
turn now. The Trump administration not happy at all with
what sixty Minutes was going to run, and Barry Weiss

(39:01):
Well killed it and said we're not running it until
we update that story. Tim Grahm is with us now.
He wrote a great piece on this for MRC. That's
the Media Research Center NewsBusters dot org. Tim, Good morning,
Good morning, Okay, so I'm looking at your story. Sixty minutes,
offer syrupy minutes for the left, tell us your tell us,
your your thoughts.

Speaker 9 (39:23):
Well, they're always going to say they're going to report
some really fiercely anti Trump story and say, well, this
is what journalism is. We're independent. We have to run
tough stories that hold government officials accountable. Well that's not
the way they do it. Went into Joe Biden or
his attorney general, or Kamala Harris or you know, name
your obvious you know, John Oliver. All these people get

(39:48):
fawning Valentines. They get soft, syrupy questions like.

Speaker 8 (39:54):
Did the Holocaust?

Speaker 9 (39:55):
Did your your family's experience with a Holocaust cause you
to pursue a career in the law. That was the
question of Merrick Garland, which Merrick Garland loves to talk
about that, that's one of his favorite narratives. You know,
ask Joe Biden, why are you stilling the game? You
know it's like, yeah, that's a good question, but not
the way you phrased it. You know, we call it

(40:16):
syrupy minutes when it comes to the Democrats. And so
that's the double standard, so that you don't get to say, oh,
now you're going to make us the stenographer. This was
the complaint that Sharon Alfonsi lodged against Berry Wise, was
that we want to be an investigative powerhouse, and though
you don't. You're not an investigative powerhouse with the Democrats.

(40:37):
You're only a so called powerhouse when you're going after Trump.

Speaker 3 (40:42):
That's a great point.

Speaker 2 (40:43):
Now, they claim, by the way, talking about Alfonsi and others,
that they got five statements, They included five statements or
something like that from the White House that were included
in this piece. So they did not feel it was
one sided and that they did not give an opportunity
for the White House to be heard.

Speaker 3 (40:58):
Is that accurate or what's your thought?

Speaker 4 (41:00):
No?

Speaker 9 (41:00):
No, And this is the way that the Network News
generally does it, and that is they'll run a SoundBite
from Trump, then rebought it for three minutes, and they'll say,
but Trump spoke. They don't allow the Trump people to
respond to what is being alleged in this story. And so, yes,

(41:21):
when Abigail Jackson basically says you should focus on the
angel parents and the people who lost children to a
legal alien crime, she's basically saying this is your target selection.
Your target selection is we want to feel the pain
of the kilmar Brago Garcias who are engaged in human
trafficking and white beating because they are legal aliens and

(41:42):
they're the sympathetic victims in every story we do. That's
part of the problem here. But they didn't really let
them respond to this. Now, there's a legitimate question for
journalism when you said it wasn't just the Trump people
just weren't supporting these people to another country. They deported
them into a prison. All right, you can make that

(42:03):
a story, But why is it such an offense to
say we would like thirty seconds of Stephen Miller in
that and then they all go, ah, stenography.

Speaker 3 (42:13):
Great point.

Speaker 2 (42:14):
We're talking to Tim Grant, Media Research Center, NewsBusters dot Org,
Tim Bigger Picture, Barrie Weiss running CBS News. Obviously, there
were some complaints and threats of revolt right from the
very start. Now, of course she spikes the story. Will
it work or do you think this is something she
can withstand because you know, like again, there are a
lot of people who are going to be have the

(42:34):
long knives out for her.

Speaker 9 (42:37):
Yes, I think there are one of these liberal websites.
Their headline was Barry Weiss bu r y. So that's
where the left.

Speaker 3 (42:48):
Is right now.

Speaker 9 (42:49):
You know. Now, did she spike the story or did
she delay the story? She said she's looking forward to
it airing. Well, the fact of the matter was somebody
got it sent to Canada and it's all over the internet,
so you can watch the story for yourself. And it
is just one of their typical hatchet jobs. And you know,
they were boasting a few weeks ago. Scott Pelley was

(43:11):
at the Walter Cronkite Awards saying, you know, we've had
no corporate interference in sixty minutes, and this is the
first example. So the minute that you actually interfere with
them and say we need thirty seconds of Trump, then
there's a you know, they all go crazy. So I mean,
it's what will it change? CBS has not changed that

(43:33):
much in the last couple of weeks. We'll see if
it continues.

Speaker 2 (43:38):
Well, i'll tell you what, you know, I don't expect
that to change very much because they are going to
continue and they're going to try to make life miserable
for their new editor in chief because that's what they do.
But it was a strong move to bring her in
and hopefully she can indeed survive this onslaught. Tim Graham
Media Research Center and NewsBusters dot Org does amazing work. Tim,
Thanks very much, Merry Christmas, and I appreciate you.

Speaker 3 (43:58):

educator if you're a student and you or if you

(51:35):
are a recent student and you have got, Student loans
i've got advice.

Speaker 9 (51:39):
For you this.

Speaker 3 (51:39):
Is interesting they're coming for. Your wages and to, be
truthful can't.

Speaker 2 (51:45):
Blame them student loans borrowers were Loving the biden Administration
Because joe biden and defiance Of The supreme court kept
promising and delivering on student loan, debt relief meaning you
didn't have to pay back the money that. You Borrowed
the trump, administration, says, yeah no we're going to be
paying back. Those debts, and if, in fact if you

(52:06):
don't pay back, those debts we're going to garnish. Your
wages this is literally. Breaking news, from yesterday the spokesperson
FOR The us Department of education confirmed the plan to
garnish the wages of student loan borrowers who are. In
default actual garnishment set to Begin in january this ACCORDING,

(52:27):
to cnbc it's the first time a portion of a
student loan borrowers paychecks will have been at risk since
the beginning OF the covid, nineteen pandemic when collection activity.
Was halted starting the Week of, january Seven The education
department expects around one thousand defaulted student loan borrowers to
receive notices of administrative, wage garnishment according to. The spokesperson,

(52:53):
after that the number of notified borrowers will continue. To
increase ACCORDING, To cnbc WHILE the us govern and can
seize borrowers federal tax refunds, and wages and social security and,
disability Benefits The education department can legally seize up to
fifteen percent of a student loan holder's after tax income
to apply toward. Their debt more than forty Two million

(53:14):
americans have student. Loan, debt now that doesn't mean forty
two million of them are. In default does forty two
million have debt which exceeds collectively one point six. Trillion
dollars those who are in default are the ones who
are now at risk of having their. Wages garnished there
are more than five million student loan borrowers that are
considered among those forty two million to be, in default

(53:35):
a number that could explode to roughly ten million, borrowers
soon according To The education. Department itself Back, in June
The Wall street journal reported that until past two payments
are paid in fold and the default status, is resolved
borrowers could see up to fifteen percent of their wages
automatically deducted from. Their paychecks borrowers who have been newly

(53:56):
reported as delinquent since since then on their student loan
loans have seen an average sixty point drop in their,
credit scores According, To TransUnion so this could have a
very serious impact.

Speaker 3 (54:07):
On a whole lot.

Speaker 2 (54:07):
Of people you better get your your affairs in order
and start paying back, those loans, after all you, took
them and if you don't. Like it that's one of
the Reasons Why charlie kirk spent most of his life
talking about college being, a scam because if you don't,
like him chances are you're not making much money with
that degree that, you got or you didn't stick around
long enough after playing beer pong and trying to hook

(54:29):
up for, two years you, dropped out and you still
have debt if you can't pay. It back maybe college
wasn't the right thing for you in the, first place
but nonetheless be aware they're going to garnish your wages
if you don't take care. Of business. Six' ten now let's,

Speaker 2 (01:00:55):
Wanna call, it it's hysterical but, it's, also really really really.
Sad and disturbing Remember when the biden administration for four
years kept pushing and demanding and mandating that electric vehicles
be the law of the Land no more, by twenty.

Speaker 3 (01:01:10):
Thirty no more internal combustion.

Speaker 2 (01:01:14):
Gasoline powered engines we're going to be able to be
built to put cars, on the road to put tractors in,
the fields. Anywhere electric everything and you remember the pushback
that a lot of, us gave, saying you know this
could be a problem in a, lot of circumstances particularly
in winter when those Electric Vehicles elected and i'm not

(01:01:34):
trying to make fun of ANYBODY'S got an ev but
especially in winter, in colder places Colder, climates in, houston
you know those batteries don't. Last very long and, in
the summertime when it's, really really hot you got to.
Use air conditioning those batteries don't. Last very long that's
where that's the backdrop. For this story practical considerations such
as MOVING from point A to point b in relative

(01:01:57):
comfort and safety mean little to the Climate change cult
so it shouldn't surprise Us That, In New york kathy
hulkals demand that diesel school buses be replaced. With electric
Ones same thing biden pushed for isn't working on the
heels of a state wide mandate requiring all school Bus
Purchases In new york. State be electric by, twenty twenty

(01:02:20):
seven Parents In The Lake Shore central School District of
new york are speaking out because their bus drivers are
turning the heat off completely because they have to conserve
battery life for their electric school buses to.

Speaker 3 (01:02:35):
FINISH The route.

Speaker 2 (01:02:38):
Wivb news has received several calls from concerned parents in,
that school district which Covers.

Speaker 3 (01:02:46):
Part of Angelo.

Speaker 2 (01:02:47):
Brandt and derby not that that means much to anybody
who Is Not a new yorker regarding their child's bus
trips to, and from school claiming they're coming in freezing
when they get home and getting off. Of the bus
It's Winter in new york and they're not allowed to
have heat because it's taking too much of the power
of the battery away. From the engine is the core

(01:03:10):
is the report from. The bus drivers the kids are
coming home saying that their bus is freezing and their
parents are giving them hand warmers to get on the school.

Speaker 3 (01:03:20):
Bus.

Speaker 2 (01:03:21):
Every day quote the heaters on the bus run off
the same electricity as, the Bus itself Said, scott ziobro
maybe a former school board candidate and parent whose children
go to school. In the district they were told that
it drains the battery capacity of. The bus itself so
you're gonna have to. Just bundle. Up holy cow and

(01:03:42):
to think where we would be right now if the
election had gone. A Different, direction kamala harris the, cackler
in chief would have absolutely Followed up on biden's mandates
for not, only school buses but virtually every, engine and
yes all.

Speaker 3 (01:03:58):
Of our cars and it wouldn't.

Speaker 2 (01:03:59):
Matter to them it doesn't matter one iota whether or
not you can turn the air conditioning on in the
summer in your, vehicle or, else you know and therefore,
limit the life, not life expectancy but the charge, in
the battery or whether you can turn the heat on in.
The winter time and that's the reason why, the electric, vehicle,

(01:04:20):
you know fraud if you want, to call it that is.

Speaker 3 (01:04:22):
What it is so many people had.

Speaker 2 (01:04:24):
No earthly idea they were pushing these as being the
answer to, the energy crisis weaning us off of fossil fuels.
And everything else but So many obstacles and there is one. Example,
of it now kids in cold climates are shivering because
they can't put heat on in.

Speaker 3 (01:04:37):
The, school buses, yeah just smh. Shaking my head.

This byron, Donalds You know, byron donald's Right he's a
florida congressman who's probably gonna End up being florida's Next
governor After, ron de santis. Who Is amazing byron donalds

(01:13:33):
wants some work, to get done and he knows that
a lot of the great Work from the house isn't
getting Done in the senate because of. The Filibuster Rule
so byron Donalds Is rallying house republicans to join Him
In telling senate republicans To end the senate filibuster use.
That nuclear option it requires sixty votes to advance most

(01:13:54):
bills to come, to a vote and that filibuster Problem
in the senate has done a, lot of problems Including Stalling,
the save act which was Passed by The, house in
april so it's sitting there for, eight months now which
would mandate proof of citizenship for. Federal voter registration that
should not be controversial anybody and everybody in government, should,

(01:14:17):
be saying yes our elections, must be free they, must
be fair they, must be secure they, must be verified,
and that, means, you know foreigners non citizens cannot but
whether they're legal residents, here or not. They cannot vote
and so requiring A proof of us citizenship for voter
registration should be an easy, thing to do but it
Isn't because the democrats know that they rely on illegal

(01:14:41):
immigrants and legal residents who are here from other countries
to vote in order to continue to. Advance Their Agenda so,
byran donald says this block's agenda item or key agenda
items like, nuclear power. Expansion Crypto deregulation the dose were
saying that the Filibuster on the senate side creates a

(01:15:04):
logjam and has since its. Nineteen, Seventeen origins meanwhile senator,
on that side this is, More Important now, mike lee
said reforming it to talking filibusters that demand actual debate would.
Do the Job Others Like Senate Majority leader john thune
resist are. Resisting full elimination a mid warnings it Could
backfire if, democrats regain power and that is just absolutely

(01:15:26):
insane talk for lots of reasons that we. Will talk
about But Here's What senator mike lee said about ending.
The zombie filibuster.

Speaker 41 (01:15:35):
So we've talked a lot about the benefits of getting
rid of. The zombie philibuster what we haven't talked about.
Are the downsides there are two. Basic downsides, downside number
one if you Want To thwart president trump's agenda and
you want to, do it easily you're not going to
like this move because it's going to make it. A lot,
harder number two if YOU are, a us senator you're
going to have, to work harder spend a lot more

Speaker 2 (01:18:51):
POLICE departments go i don't Mean, LOCAL in houston i
just mean a, local police department this one happens To
be in virginia go to help aliens avoid detection and.
Capture by ice it is remarkable how many law enforcement
agencies are willing to forego what is, essentially their, standard,

(01:19:13):
you know protocol which is to collaborate and coordinate with
other law enforcement agencies to. Enforce the law, local you,
know police jurisdictions working, with county sheriffs working with state
police officers, and state troopers working. With federal agents they're
all wearing the badge that say, the same thing to.
Serve and protect but it is amazing to see the

(01:19:35):
number of them that refuse to assist when it comes
to catching illegal aliens and deporting them as required. By
federal law the Story out of charlottesvielleow share with you
after the traffic and weather here, WILL bother you i
think a little bit. It bothers me and then we're
going to talk a little bit more about what's Going On.

Speaker 8 (01:21:47):
Seven forty ktrh.

Speaker 2 (01:21:49):
So this is the first of, the two stories and
this is What's, Happening. In Charlottesville virginia The city of
charlottesville will not move FORWARD with their flock safety license
plate reader system following the conclusion of a year. Long
pilot program despite reported success in helping, police solve crimes
city council decided during Its meeting on monday that they're

(01:22:12):
not going to solve those crimes anymore because they want
to protect.

Speaker 3 (01:22:16):
The illegal.

Speaker 2 (01:22:16):
Aliens that's right concerns that the federal government might find
illegal aliens BY using that Flock program that charlotte'sville will
events implemented is forcing them to. Abandon the program among
the primary concerns for how DATA collected by flock could
be potentially accessed or used beyond, the city's control including
fears it could be obtained by federal agencies for unintended

(01:22:39):
purposes such as yes. Tracking undocumented immigrants how is it
that law enforcement agencies can outwardly and openly declare that
they're not going.

Speaker 3 (01:22:50):
To enforce laws it's unreal.

Speaker 42 (01:22:52):
In the community, that being said there were some concerns.

Speaker 8 (01:22:56):
Like data being taken from flock and being used for
unintended per purposes like. Tracking illegal immigrants.

Speaker 42 (01:23:02):
The concerns continue to come up about mostly policymakers, that
you know or the federal government or THE administration in
dc could get.

Speaker 3 (01:23:12):
Access To it.

Speaker 8 (01:23:13):
Chief conscious says it's.

Speaker 24 (01:23:15):
Not all bad flock cameras in the last year have
helped them, solve several cases.

Speaker 42 (01:23:20):
Help us off our homicide. In the city it has
helped us recover. A missing child let's let's let's.

Speaker 2 (01:23:26):
Hear that again the flock system is, helping, save people
right help them, solve several cases help.

Speaker 42 (01:23:34):
Us off our homicide. In the city it has helped
us recover. A missing child the flock system is helping,
us catch. Killers solving homicides you, just heard that and
even find. A missing child but we're going to deactivate
it and not use it after the one year of pilot,
program because well we want to save and. Protect illegal aliens.

Speaker 3 (01:23:54):
Make that.

Speaker 2 (01:23:55):
MAKES some sense i say that rhetorically. Because you cannot.
That is unbelievable SECOND story that i wanted to, Get
To Again Missouri senator eric schmidt had something To say To,
kelly and conway who was Sitting in on fox last
night about Being sued by china for. Fifty million dollars
i'm sorry for. Fifty billion dollars he's being Sued By

(01:24:17):
The chinese communist party for telling the truth ABOUT.

Speaker 3 (01:24:21):
What Started covid.

Speaker 43 (01:24:22):
Let its an. Attempt TO intimidate but i got News For.
The chinese communists i'm from the. Show me state we,
don't scare easily so. Bring it on we got a
twenty four billion Dollar judgment In Missouri against communist CHINA
for unleashing covid on the world because they lied and they.

Speaker 3 (01:24:36):
DECEIVED the world a couple of, Examples of.

Speaker 43 (01:24:38):
That kelly in they cut off flights in And out
of wuhan domestically but not internationally when they knew the
coronavirus had Leaked from. The wuhan lab they were the
largest NET exporter of ppe and then became the largest
NET importer Of ppe in december of twenty nineteen before
they told THE. World about covid they're responsible for unleashing
this virus, on the world and we exposed all that

(01:25:01):
and they don't. Like it now so we got a
twenty four. Billion dollar judgment they have this ridiculous fifty
billion dollar. Lawsuit against me but the truth is the.

Speaker 20 (01:25:09):
Bigger.

Speaker 43 (01:25:09):
Picture here kellyan IS we exposed i think the supply
chains and how vulnerable. They really are so the most
efficient supply chains aren't always. The most resilient so the
fact that we were that reliant On, MATERIALS from china
i think is. Playing, Out now right so.

Speaker 2 (01:25:24):
It is playing Out now and China Again suing eric
schmidt for fifty billion dollars for telling the World that
the wuhan virus was Indeed originated in Wuhan and that.
China was RESPONSIBLE second thing i wanted to share is
and that was Again That Was. Senator eric schmidt This
Is Actually. Representative brandon gill so it's kind of a.

(01:25:46):
Third story here this is the One about. The walls
law they're trying To Pass the walls act to stop
what's Going on in minnesota from.

Speaker 3 (01:25:53):
Happening, anywhere, else, ever again well this is.

Speaker 39 (01:25:56):
A multi billion dollar fraud program that is still being
uncovered now at estimates are estimating that it's about nine
billion dollars of tax money that has been, looted From you,
the american taxpayer that's been looted. FROM the treasury I
think that congress has a role in ensuring that our
welfare programs are not abused by left Wing Governors, like

(01:26:18):
governor walls who is using this to fund what is
virtually a patronage System of taking americans hard earned tax
dollars and giving it to his political allies by turning
a blind eye amidst widespread rampant welfare fraud that he knew.

Speaker 3 (01:26:33):
Was going on that's.

Speaker 39 (01:26:35):
A huge problem i think that this act is the
first step and clamping down. ON welfare fraud i think
we have a lot, more to do but this is
a great first first step.

Speaker 2 (01:26:43):
To welfare fraud and medicaid Fraud from Those, somalis In
minnesota In Minneapolis that brandon gill.

Speaker 3 (01:26:50):
Is talking about There.

Speaker 2 (01:26:51):
Not just minneapolis the second Largest population of Somalis In
the united States, Is, in columbus ohio the, capital city
there and the there is just about as rampant as It.
IS in minneapolis a federal law is indeed. Called for
here so it's Good To, Hear Brandon Gill representative brandon gill.
Telling that, story all right it is a. Six fifty

Speaker 2 (01:34:31):
It is seven, minutes after seven o'clock Uh here, on
this wednesday morning the twenty fourth morning, of the twelfth
month in The, ear of our. Lord twenty twenty five
And That, Makes this christmas Eve So a merry. Christmas
eve to you And It's a merry Christmas eve. To
the american people with that great news that busted out,
yesterday on the economy. Growth is way up this is

(01:34:53):
something that the forecasters did Not See coming in president
trump rightly. Taking a victory lap this is exactly, what
The You know the white. House promised Would Happen it's what.
President trump, ran on he said if you just get
out of the way, and let you know let us
make call the shots here, and establish the Policies we will.

Speaker 3 (01:35:12):
Restore america to greatness This is what make america.

Speaker 2 (01:35:14):
Great was, all about last week two, WEEKS maybe last
week i think we got the inflation report two point
seven percent inflation as it continues to plummet down to
that roughly two percent, benchmark after you Know four, years
of biden inflation AND now it's the gdp it was
forecast to be at about.

Speaker 3 (01:35:35):
Three point three percent, What.

Speaker 21 (01:35:36):
Do we get sae we're looking RIGHT now at the
gdp number at? Four point three percent is the actual
number versus answer of? Three Point, three percent.

Speaker 8 (01:35:43):
Mark tepper your reaction.

Speaker 22 (01:35:45):
So last week we talked about inflation coming. In lower
than expected now economic growth is one full percentage. Point
faster than expected it was supposed to come in, at
three point three came in. At four point three this
is a Direct Result of everything president trump.

Speaker 8 (01:36:00):
Is put in place net.

Speaker 22 (01:36:01):
Exports are on The rise because, of trump's tariff policy
which is leveling, The trade playing, field AI's increasing productivity businesses,
are investing in spending and. The consumer remains strong AND just,
think next i, think well next quarter they'll they'll end
up getting an extra one hundred and fifty billion dollars
in refund checks that they can then deploy. And spend as,

(01:36:24):
well so, great number great number.

Speaker 21 (01:36:27):
Four Point three percent and, i've GOT to say WHEN
i see a gdp of, FOUR point three percent i
have to believe five percent.

Speaker 8 (01:36:34):
Is not, far away and that Of Course is what.

Speaker 21 (01:36:37):
Louis navelaire, told us last week mark that we're going
to SEE a five percent gdp handle in the first.

Speaker 8 (01:36:42):
Half of the year he looks.

Speaker 22 (01:36:44):
LIKE nostrodamus, right now i mean he almost predicted. That,
on the head obviously five percent is, well within our
reach especially GIVEN the consumer, tailwinds i just mentioned especially
the fact.

Speaker 2 (01:36:56):
That AND again you know logi or, low INFLATION last week,
higher gdp this week and we haven't even had we
have not even yet had the one big beautiful bill
kick in that will kick in after the, first of
the year and so much more money will be into
the economy organically as there will be, no taxes on
tips and that's going to print a. Bunch of new

(01:37:17):
money it's just that people are going to be able
to keep more of the. Money that they make, no
taxes on tips. No taxes on overtime it's going, to
incentivize hard work it's going. To incentivize more growth companies.
Are going to expand the economy. Is about to explode
and This Is exactly.

Speaker 3 (01:37:32):
What president.

Speaker 2 (01:37:33):
Trump predicted what happened and all of the naysayers and
all of the Doomsdayers telling us that trump's tariffs are going, to,
create a recession well and it's going. To create massive,
inflation INFLATION is down, the gdp is up the, tariffs
are in effect and tariff revenue is going to be
used to give every member, who protects this country Every

(01:37:56):
Member Of The united states armed, services on active duty,
one thousand and seven one hundred and seventy six, dollars
in warrior dividends all. Thanks, to, those policies so yeah
anybody Who thinks that the democrats are about to have
smooth sailing to An electoral victory in november of twenty
twenty six, and retake the majorities take a look at

(01:38:16):
The Economy and if bill clinton was right about it.
BEING the economy stupid i think twenty twenty six is going.

Austin man banged on the Locked doors of a of
pedron elementary, as, Students arrived for class screaming i'm going
To go inside and kill i'm going to find. A
way to get in That Individual's, name is named michael
naji who has wrapped up thirty. Four cases since twenty
nineteen he was once caught in an apartment gym, completely

(01:40:52):
nude except for sandals admiring. His physique in the mirror
he then picked up a heavy kettlebell and hurled it
repeatedly to a glass. Office door until. It shattered prosecutors
dismissed it this individual's record of leniency, includes robbery reduced to,
misdemeanor seven felony evading, arrests all, dismissed or. Reduced four

(01:41:14):
burglaries all dismissed he also made eighty four legal entries
into one gas. Station in a single month his only

now what. Does all of that mean it means that
the prosecutors are refusing to Do. Their jobs and protect

texans they're refusing. To prosecute this career criminal that's. What
the bottom line is progressive Das like the ones in.
Austin Won't Do their, jobs so greg abbott says here's.

comment i am calling for legislation that creates a chief

state prosecutor to actually. Prosecute criminals like this one The
das and places. Like austin refuse to do progressive das
are literally Leading. To the murder of texans these das
must be held accountable and prose prosecutorial power must. BE
shifted to actual prosecutors i Could not agree More and

some of the backstory for the Reason For This call
by governor Greg abbat Joining Us Now's Andy, Conn, Houston
Crime stoppers andy.

Speaker 3 (01:44:36):
Mary christmas eve to. You thanks for the? Time how?
Are you hey doing great looking.

Speaker 9 (01:44:40):
Forward to twenty, twenty.

Speaker 3 (01:44:42):
Seven at twenty seven we're. Gonna skip over twenty.

Speaker 9 (01:44:44):
Six i'm AN eternal?

Speaker 3 (01:44:47):
Optimist What?

Speaker 2 (01:44:47):
Can i say, All Right love it so greg abbott
calling for this Week the creation. Of this chief, state
prosecutor first of all give me. YOUR thoughts on his
reasoning i just kind of laid out The Backstory there
of this michael naji character is one example of. Somebody
who should be prosecuted to do is not give, Me,
Your thoughts on, that andy and then also what does

(01:45:09):
it take to create a position like, This, From, the
legislative standpoint.

Speaker 14 (01:45:13):
Yeah bob it reminds me very much of the bailor
form legislation that, we previously had gotten pasted and that
Was A direct result of harris, county judges granting pr
bonds get, out of jail free cards or extremely low
bonds for defenders. Charge with a violent crime so, We
Passed bills specifically basically harris county. Was ground zero for

(01:45:36):
that now you've. Got a situation involving traviscanty it's been
an ongoing a battle basically between those who want to
enforce Law And Order in the travis county district attorney
district attorney who apparently takes a little bit more of
a different approach by not charging, people who commit some serious. Serious,

(01:45:57):
violent crimes on that so so it's going to happen
specifically now since the governor has, called for a, special
prosecutor a statewide prosecutor is you have to. Wait for
a legislative session and the question, is in twenty twenty
seven when, the next session actually begins you'll get.

Speaker 31 (01:46:20):
A bill and.

Speaker 9 (01:46:21):
It's going, to be fascinating you.

Speaker 31 (01:46:22):
See you're going TO again my position.

Speaker 14 (01:46:25):
IS i have no harm i see zero downside and bringing.
An issue like this up there's never been an. Issue
too hot for debate That's A, direct Quote From stephen
hopkins the Rhode Island, delegates to the constitutional convention who
was seeking when we were. Seeking a declaration of independence

(01:46:45):
so next legislative session will kind of become ground zero
for any attempts for the governor to. Have, a, Statewide,
special prosecutor.

Speaker 2 (01:46:58):
Okay now andy tell me the difference, between a position
like this a statewide special. Prosecutor and the Attorney general
doesn't the attorney general get to oversee or have a
say in prosecutions or, collaborations with. Prosecutors, and counties et cetera.

Speaker 14 (01:47:16):
Yeah they do their Specific offenses that the attorney. General basically,
has jurisdiction over interestingly, enough in twenty twenty three we
actually Did Pass a, bill called house bill seventeen which
basically allows for the removal of district. Attorneys for failure
to prosecute so let's to kind of take what's already

(01:47:38):
in effect and add. A, Different, layer to that.

Speaker 2 (01:47:43):
Okay yeah which, is VERY important, to NOTE like i
said because i know that's going to be a hotly
contested battle by. The way for attorney, general but this
particular position it, would have to be created and that's
in that next. Session in twenty twenty seven and do
you feel like there would. BE enough support for that
i don't know exactly what the makeup of the. Legislature
is in the state what do you think the likelihood

(01:48:05):
is that there would be enough support.

Speaker 3 (01:48:06):
To, make this position happen.

Speaker 14 (01:48:07):
Well if it's kind of like the bail reform, Bills
that we've been passing i'm pretty sure there would. Be
enough to support it if it becomes an issue where
you have to change the constitution.

Speaker 3 (01:48:19):
To pass the.

Speaker 14 (01:48:20):
Legislation that the governor, is trying to get past that's
a different story because that you don't need.

Speaker 9 (01:48:26):
A simple majority for that you'd have to get it
two thirds.

Speaker 14 (01:48:30):
Of The elected officials In the house, and the senate
to agree and then It would, go to the texas
Voters very similar to what texas voters just voted on
a Couple of, months ago called prop three which allows
judges discretion not to grant bond of defendants.

Speaker 9 (01:48:48):
Charge WITH certain violent crimes.

Speaker 14 (01:48:50):
But i applowed the governor. For putting IT out, there
there's like, i said bring, it on let's debate, it
let's talk about it.

Speaker 9 (01:48:57):
And, LET'S see what happens well i.

Speaker 3 (01:48:59):
Applaud it for just.

Speaker 2 (01:49:00):
Calling it what it is his line in that tweet Yesterday,
OF that post, on monday i should say is progressive
das are literally Leading.

Speaker 3 (01:49:07):
To the murder of.

Speaker 2 (01:49:08):
Texans that is not ambiguous it. Is not an exaggeration
either when these individuals like the ones featured in the
story are not being prosecuted and they're going out there
and threatening to kill it is only A matter of Time.

Speaker 14 (01:49:20):
Until i killed yeah Bob when We did, the bell
or foreign legislation we documented over two hundred and twenty
people that were murdered BY defendants released on A pr.

Speaker 3 (01:49:28):
Bond or multiple.

Speaker 14 (01:49:30):
Sellingy bonds so it's, Real.

Speaker 2 (01:49:32):
It is absolutely that and kudos to the governor for
doing this and hopefully will. IN degenerate the support needed
i can't. Wait for twenty seven, Either as You Pointed Out,
andy conn houston crime stoppers thanks so, much of the time,
again have a.

Speaker 2 (02:02:16):
Eight here's some good news and it's kind of interesting,
that this came out TODAY or at least, that i
have it today on the same Day That we. Got
The Supreme court report The Supreme court decided that president
trump doesn't have the authority To Activate, and Deploy The
National guard The illinoi national GUARD to chicago TO support,
ice agents and ice.

Speaker 3 (02:02:38):
Facilities which is really really.

Speaker 2 (02:02:41):
Disturbing in its own right but what makes it interesting
more interesting Is The fact that THOSE national guard Members
Supporting ice and the national Guard, that WAS. Surged To, Washington,
d C To memphis tennessee to san francisco and other
places all helped contribute to the largest. Reduction in orders
on record this. Literally just reported this morning america is

(02:03:06):
seeing murders fall at. A pace never recorded before data
from hundreds of police departments across the country point to
a nearly twenty percent drop in killings this year.

Speaker 3 (02:03:15):
Compared to Twenty Twenty, four.

Speaker 2 (02:03:17):
Crime analyst jeff asher who tracks, these numbers in real
time says this could mark the biggest single. Year to
climb on record cities long plagued by, violence Are Leading
the Way. Including NEW york, And Memphis As i mentioned los,
Angeles COUNTY nearly nineteen percent washington, Dc down twenty eight
percent chicago's basingly without Even The with the surgeon national

(02:03:40):
guard support down. Twenty eight percent as well other serious
crimes are following, suit, robberies down eighteen percent nationwide motor vehicle,
thefts down twenty three percent aggravated assaults. Down more than
seven percent mass killings hit their lowest points. Since two
thousand and six all of These Figures Coming From, the
real time crime index pulling reports from over. Five hundred

(02:04:03):
and seventy agencies the FBI's full numbers for the year,
won't come until next fall but past patterns showed that
these early counts do line up closely with the official.
Numbers That will come out president trump made restoring order.
A cornerstone of, his ADMINISTRATION he, has Sent As i
noted several national guard troops into several cities to back

(02:04:23):
up local. Police and target violent offenders and in, so
many of these places the extra help has been needed
to root out gangs and repeat criminals. And get it
under control and this is. Proof positive it is working
the downward trend in. Killings. Is of paramount importance obviously
add that to the economic numbers we've, been talking about

(02:04:47):
this morning THE four point three percent, gdp growth in
quarter three the two, point seven percent inflation. Rate which
is down, considerably it's all working together and these numbers
are all coming in at the, end of twenty twenty
five just in time for people to start paying attention
to whom they want to be in Power with majorities

(02:05:07):
