Speaker 1 (00:08):
Lunchtimers, Matt Thomas, Thomas, Ross VI, REALVI. This is the
Matt Thomas Show with Ross twelve oh two in Age Town.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Good but exters, and welcome to a Friday edition to
the Matt Thomas Show.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
This is Sports Talk seven ninety. How are you all today?
Doing great? After that?

Speaker 4 (00:53):
Man?

Speaker 1 (00:54):
I know good.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
I got a full night's rest. You did today? It
sounds like you did.

Speaker 5 (00:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
I watched those base ball series where Bob cosss again.
Looks like you'd rather be anywhere else but calling those games.
I think he was sleepwalking. I watch a little bit
of rock Party with my fantasy league scoring at nausea yesterday.
Good job, very hard. Congratulations to the Toros, and I
was in bed by ten o'clock. Life is good. Got
a big road trip this weekend for the recruiting with
the daughter, so very excited, wonderful, And you got the

(01:22):
Red River rivalry? Yeah I do. And I normally would
have our Friday open start, but our buddy uh Connor
is getting over relationship issues and it has Oh you
have the open one, You're supposed to just hit it.
They hit it. Then the audience got to tell us.
Hold the audience audience. See what we're you gonna tell
us you've got a communication is kids, Tray, you didn't

(01:42):
say we're supposed to know that you haven't.

Speaker 6 (01:44):
Because you're supposed to operate on the usual basis, as if.

Speaker 7 (01:47):
Nothing has changed.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
But I heard this show this week. No lot has changed.

Speaker 6 (01:52):
So it's a mouthful, all right, Well, Tray, we had
Tommy showing ros's hitting baby.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
Like right now, if you're an attractive woman with large breast,
come shoot videos for us.

Speaker 8 (02:17):
No, no, don't click that.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
We went to the D yesterday at the hotel. It
had a few cocktails. That was very deep inside the D.
I mean I was in the same spot you were in.
Oh I wasn't there. No, you were right there with
me at the D. That was you were all you
were on top of you were all around it. You're

(03:05):
you're you're in a six man right now. But Kakuchi
and Verlander having stretched out, that's her career and Verlander,
even though I.

Speaker 9 (03:12):
Can't believe I just said that, it's like twenty five

(03:33):
degrees of it.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
It's seriously got so cold. My nipples are ridiculously.

Speaker 10 (03:38):
Hurt right now.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Yeah, yeah, they're cutting through your shirt.

Speaker 6 (03:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
So if you and the Broskies are going on the cheap,
you can get a two room and then you know,
you just put you go butt to butt and then
you can both sleep on the king. You want to
go the other way, I don't want to go either way.
You want to go tip to tip? No, no, I
don't want to either one of those things. That's gross,
go wrong with you. But but he went head first

(04:10):
for a double, and how he was going for a triple?
He's banging one off the wall. Excuse me? What?

Speaker 8 (04:17):
What?

Speaker 3 (04:17):
What were you talking about? Oh man, Tray, did you
put that together? Damn dude, that's the best of of those.

(04:38):
But that was some good stuff. Good for you, classics,
Trey trying to take over for all, Connor dy McGovern
trying to get Trey, Wally Pip Walker. Yeah, my goodness,
that's good for him. Good for him. All right, that's
how you start the Friday right there? Can I can
I peel the curtain back for one second? Sure? Are
you obsessive compulsive about anything? What do you mean? Well,

(05:01):
I'm not that natured, but I so I'm checking in
for my fly. I'm gonna be leaving in a few hours.
Ago on an East coast trip with my daughter for
a recruiting visit, and on the first leg of the flight,
I can only get a middle seat. Okay, So I
keep refreshing the app about every twenty seconds to see
if the if the aisle opens up. That's more obsessing

(05:24):
about how fancy you are. No, I don't want to
see who prefer to sit in the middle seat. I
don't think. I don't know weirdos correct, and thus I'm
not weird. So I would like to well, all, I'm done.
I've I've checked, and I'm surprised the app has and
said leave me alone. Okay, Yeah, you need to relax.
Do it every hour? We are you doing it every

(05:45):
five minutes? I would say about every fifty to twenty
fifteen to twenty is too much, That's what I'm saying.
I have a problem to rely. Give me your phone. No,
too well, I should take your phone for the for
the show. Anyways, too much. I'm not gonna look in it.
I'm not gonna unlock it. I just get it out
of your possession for one second. All right, this is
only what's your daily screen time? Fourteen hours a day.

(06:05):
I'd be third in my house I can tell you that, Okay,
Kim Thomas one, Karly Thomas two, me three, and I
work for a living. I don't know. I mean I
did check on Taylor's You got nothing fresh up today?
Oh my gosh, yeah, you're which one? Are you refreshing more?
I choose not to answer that question. That sounds like

(06:26):
all right, ladies and gentlemen, it isn't anything goes Friday,
and we got a lot of good things to get
to because we've got some interesting things happening on the
show today. Doctor Roto is. We'll get an update from
him directly, and why why not? You know, Fort Myers
got hit hard as the entire west coast of Florida did,
but he is. I think he's I'm presuming he's back
home or at least in a safe spot. Okay. My

(06:46):
aunt uncle who live in Newport Richie, which is just
north of Templeton, don't have their power, but they're in
about four million other people in the same spot. So uh,
but they're doing okay. So all things considered, the people
that I know are at least living and being able
to conduct somewhat of a daily life here, and their
house has not been destroyed. So it's good. So we'll
talk to doctor Roto today at one thirty. Wonderful Bob.

(07:06):
So she the voice of the Patriots, is going to
join you, yes, at two thirty to do and uh,
it'll be curious because he is an employee of the team. Yes,
so he's not going to do a lot of super
hard criticisms. But I'll be curious to get and I'll
be listening in the car. I'll be I'm on grade
your interview. Okay, I mean, what what is life with

(07:27):
girod Meo running things as compared to Bill Belichick? What's it?
You know? Is the franchise and it's easy man, layup drills,
let's go. Okay, So see agreed, I'll give you dozens
of interviews without you. I've heard them in there and
they need a little work. They've they missed a few
composed a lot of compliments like wow, that went a
lot more smooth than normal. I don't know why your

(07:48):
parents don't count. So it's not true some people in
the industry.

Speaker 10 (07:52):

Speaker 3 (07:54):
I don't believe any of that, all right. It is
also and anything goes Friday, anything, I mean anything at seven, one, three,
two one two five regulated station. That's true. If we
were doing midnight to three am, then we would literally
go with anything we should do that one day, like
an after dark. Now, there have been some charitable things

(08:15):
that have been done in the past by other radio hosts. Well,
they've done like a twenty four hour radio. They did
that the other week, didn't they They were on the
air for twenty four hours. I think so they play
music for forty because I was trying to record stuff
in there and like, oh, Sonny's doing some kind of radiothon.
It's like whoa. Now what we would have to do
is we'd have to make it a big deal with
a big spot with an a big spensor, but a
big charity, okay, And then we'd have to have like

(08:37):
guests on, Like it would be cool if like Bragman
coldon at one forty five in the morning, or you know,
if I get a rocket to call it two fifteen
maybe fromber Oh, well, I didn't speak English, but I'm
going to go into presumer. It wouldn't be difficult to
find him at two fifteen, or it might be too difficult.

Speaker 10 (08:56):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
Maybe it'd be easier to get athletes now midnight to
three am, than it would be right now maybe prime
napping time. Rockets are practicing right now, Texans are practicing
Matt Thomas twenty four hour radiothon. Let's get it going.
We'll see, maybe we'll look, maybe we'll do that for
the season. It'll be for for Carly's anil account, Lione
and by the way, MODA mixed feelings about what we

(09:17):
talked about yesterday with Kendrick Perkins in his loan sharking
basically high interest rates. He busted up these kids kneasily.
We'll give you the money ahead of time, and we're
gonna take a big chunk down the stress. Yes, so predatory.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
I would have to guess though, and where if you
those of you don't know Kendrick Perkins or you guys
to see an NBA on ESPN stuff has a nil
firm where he's front loading people, but he's also committing
to these guys to take anywhere between was it twenty
and fifty percent over like a five to seven year
period with a certain max I think a cap of
one hundred and twenty five thousand dollars. My guess is
if Kendrick Perkins is calling you. He thinks he's gonna

(09:59):
make his money. He's he's not doing it. Yeah, he's
going to be able to say, I'm going to try
to catch this kid before he really strikes it big,
and then when he does, I'm going to get a
big chunk of what it is. My guess is that
of the people that have signed up with Kendrick Perkins,
many of them have been able to fulfill what Kendrick
was looking for in terms of basically a profit. Another

(10:20):
slimy part of the nioln industry. It seems pretty because
you really mean, because if you're if you're a really
good athlete ross and you think you can make some
money off nil because teams are frankly pushing you towards it,
you don't only need a third person. You don't need
a middleman if you will, right. I mean, I guess
I don't know what the benefit is or what they're
selling that the benefit is unless you be upfront money

(10:42):
rather than getting payment, unless you have a family situation
that's like, man, I need twenty five thousand dollars right
this second, so which I'm sure it happens, and he'll
be happy to give you that in return of giving
up your future. Proceeds first, and if you're period of ridiculous,
all right, on the show today, Texans Patriots. We've got
more Texans practicing today. Good value of players actually practicing yesterday,

(11:03):
which is nice. It's good getting better. NFL from last
night wasn't overly exciting San Fransco Seattle. I mean it
was decent. A bad game for a Thursday night. Did
Al Michael's bagrudge anything? I mean, I didn't notice. It's crazy.
You had two of the most premier broadcasters in the
history of sports broadcasting, well passed their prime super Cranky

(11:23):
working in the same night. Bob Costas was doing Yankees
Royals and Al Michaels is doing San Francisco and Seattle.
Speaking of the Yankees, they're onto the American League Championship Series.
Let's go Guardians or oh we're going We're rooting hard
for the Tigers, right, it feels like they're going to
the World Series. Krek Scooble's going Game five? You bet
against that? No, just saying go Tigers. I'm saying it

(11:48):
feels like the Yankees are going over. No matter what
I think, You're in it I don't think in a
seven game series A J. Hinching go to his bullpen
multiple times, because I feel like it's going to have
to do that. Seven one three seven nine seven one
three two one two five Sevenatti is how you reach
a radio program if you're on Twitter on a final list,
it's at Sports Empty and at Sports RV. We take

(12:08):
this show until three o'clock. At one thirty, it's Doctor
Roto two twenty. We'll have non Florida stories today. Now, Tre,
since you're becoming very comfortable in your skin here on
the radio show, do you have a non flour story
you would like to give the audience A two twenty.

Speaker 7 (12:22):
I will take after Ross and I will have one
by then.

Speaker 10 (12:25):
M Yeah.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
Ross usually finds his stories in the previous segment of
said show.

Speaker 6 (12:29):
So, yeah, Ross, I'm talking about his believe it or
nots usually, what does that mean?

Speaker 7 (12:34):
I usually get your believe it or not? It's at
like two forty nine.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
Yeah, that's oh right, he's giving kind of sassy in it. Okay,
that's fine, that's fine, gotta never mind. I'm gonna be nice.
What's holding you back on that?

Speaker 7 (12:47):
Ahead?

Speaker 3 (12:47):
What not accustomed to that? I'm gonna check it. So
I got that out of that middle seat seven one
three two one two five seven audience and Anything Goes
Friday called on Anything you Want here on Sports Talk
seven euty what more Matt Thomas.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Now on Sports Talk seven ninety.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
Timers twelve nineteen as Anything Goes Friday on the Matt
Thomas Show. We brought this up with Matt Thomas Show
with rock excuse me, uh seven one three two one
two five seven nine zero seven one three two one
two five seven ninety. I brought this up yesterday briefly
to you, and it's just really worth pushing again. There
are so many really interesting top twenty five college matchups

(13:31):
that you would expect Bowl season, but now they're just
conference games. I mean, seriously, this is filthy. You have uh,
Penn State USC, I mean two really historic programs conference game,
Texas Oklahoma, Well now they're being conference foes again. Ifter
not they've always been the same conference, but you know

(13:53):
that's it. That's an yearly thing. Then you've got Ohio
State Oregon, I mean, Dan, that's huge conference game. This
is a good weekend to sit back and just watch
TV Ole Miss LSU is playing Stanford Notre Dame. I mean,
and you got you know, Missouri you Mass, Missouri You Mass.

(14:17):
Was there a you Mass. It's a huge one looking
forward to it.

Speaker 10 (14:21):
I see that.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
Maybe that's taras why Connor's off this week, because he
doesn't want us to tease him about playing you Mass. Noah,
do you think that's it? No, they could be. Maybe
that's what happened. I think he's legitimately sick. Hmm. You
get the kissing disease or something. What do they call it?
The mono? The mono nucleosis could have happened. I had
mono back in the nineties. You did. Yeah, matter of fact,

(14:42):
I had to miss some Rockets games a p announcer
because I got mono. Yeah, it wasn't that when you
told some story about that, right, Yeah. I snuck out
a couple of days early to go watch That's right.
You went to the movies already, try to get everybody sick.
You see the Brady Bunch movie with a friend. I
wasn't married. Okay, it's a good movie. So you went

(15:06):
and tried to get everybody sick. No, I was in
a private area. That's cool. I audited during mono. Was
watch the oj Trial and listened to Hooting the Blowfish
because they were the hot band in ninety four, and uh,
what else was there? Trying to think the Brady bunch
of movies from back in ninety four? Yeah, I think so, yeah,

(15:29):
this is okay ninety five, but yeah, it's a long
time ago. I used to love that movie. Was that
the one with the George Glass and Brady? But the
very Brady sequel there was actually seen when with those
movies out what years? Ninety five was the first one,
and I don't know, I'm on the page. I have
to find the sequel. Maybe it was ninety five that

(15:49):
I had the Botto. I don't remember what it was. Well,
unless you got the sneak preview, no ahead of it,
you know what I got Mono in ninety five. I think, yeah,
Brady sequel was ninety six. Okay, the first one was
ninety five. Who was who played Marsha? It's married to
Ben Affleck, Ben Stiller. I can't remember her name. She
find it she's attractive. But I mean they they in
their real life Christine Taylor, Yeah they would they. I

(16:10):
think they got divorced and got remarried or they Yeah,
they've they've gone through their ups and downs. Okay, that's
what happens in Hollywood. Yeah, at least their true romance remains.
But I mean, you talk about a guy way over
kicking his coverage out, kicking his coverage mine. What do
you mean he's a movie star. Yeah, but you're a
millionaire movie star. It's impossible. But she's significantly more attractive

(16:33):
than he is. Seventeen years of marriage, they separated in
twenty seventeen. They later reconciled after living together during the
COVID nineteen pandemic lockdown. So COVID brings people together. COVID
save they're marriage. Isn't that nice? I like that? Is gorgeous.
I like it? Joe and pass it Get down teen
at twelve twenty three on Anything Goes Friday?

Speaker 11 (16:52):
Hello Joe, Hello man, how are you doing amazing?

Speaker 3 (16:57):
Okay?

Speaker 11 (16:58):
I want to tell you two things I want to
tell you about any show and Washington Commanders. I want
to tell you is Houston gonna have a NHL team?
And second, are the Washington commanders? Are they going to
change your name because the fans don't like the name
over there?

Speaker 3 (17:17):
They don't I heard, That's what I heard. Okay, all right,
thank you Joe. I appreciate it. I haven't heard from
Joe in years. Help me out called this show or
call was a good show he did. Yeah, glad to
see you here. Still kicking Joe. Thank you, Joe, appreciate
long time. No talk. I don't think the NHL is

(17:38):
coming anytime soon. Yeah, didn't they didn't. Gary Bettman say
they're not talking about expansion. Yeah, there's nobody. That's the
only team that was thinking about moving and eventually did
with the Arizona Coyotes to Utah. That has happened in
their deal. Yeah, it's done. They're already playing. Are they
the Utah Coyotes or whether Utah Hockey Club. Then they're

(17:58):
gonna fan vote or something. I don't know if they're
gonna but they decided they didn't want to rush it.
They're going to do. They're doing the Washington football team thing.
So it's me for one year. Yeah, exactly what they're doing.
And as far as Commander's concerned, I don't know. I mean,
I have not heard whether it now, if they like
it or not. I think what they were going to
do was there was some talk of them changing because again,

(18:18):
well they had a new ownership Daniel Snyder made in
the Commanders, I think, and then they're basically going to
do a middle finger to him and say we're going
to change it again. But that, frankly, to me, would
be probably unfair to anybody that ever bought a Commander's
outfit at all. Or sure, jersey, it's more value in
thirty years, does it? Yeah? Put that baby in plastic wrap.

(18:40):
I don't know. Does anybody have an orders jersey that
have never warm before? And what's the value of that
right now? Probably nothing? Maybe I think some o the
Oilers gear is going for on eBay. I haven't checked
the markets lately. I was gonna say, how often do
you check it? You check it as much as the
middle seats market for vintage gear. What's the most vintage
thing that you own?

Speaker 7 (18:58):
Period?

Speaker 3 (18:58):
I have an Oilers T shirt? Do you really? Yeah?
I don't wear it anymore. That's because it's probably too small. Well, no,
it's because no, okay, sorry, I've been around the same
weight since college college. But I was presuming it was
it was a shirt that when you're in junior Hell,
you know what the hell you're talking about? I just

(19:19):
I just thrown it out there. Uh No, I don't.
I don't own anything I own. No, I don't have
any I don't have anything super historical. And I have
a mid South wrestling replica belt that's probably about thirty
years old. Really yeah? Is it rusty? Yes? It ironically

(19:40):
it is. Really yeah. It's a rusty guest. So it's
gonna give your whole family tetanis. I'm not going to
wear it. No, it's a championship belt, some one of
those things you could buy online. Okay, you buy it. It
was gifted they didn't have the internet, and then it
was gifted to me. Okay, it's in my office. You come,
you come to the Kingwinn Studios, you can see it. Yeah,
I'll take out a loan and hire Shirpa get up
there eventually. I mean, I can't really over at this

(20:04):
point argue with you about that. But that's a kind
of different issue for a different time. Uh seven one
three two one two five seven Natty seven one three
two one two five Sevenatti, I don't. I think the
commanders they had talked about it, but I don't think
it's gonna be happening time soon, Okay. I mean because
then it becomes kind of gimmicky. Doesn't that many fun
to call them the Kamis? I think football team was
so bad. I got used to it, and I thought

(20:24):
it was kind of good. You ready for a hot tea?
He's the greatest football team of all time? What do
you mean? Are you ready for a hot hot take? Yes?
Concerning the Commanders, Okay, I'll tell you when we get back. Oh,
look at this guy, and you're gonna hate it, because
the Battle of Ross is gonna hate it. Okay, good, well,
I mean good. You could be mad at me. You're

(20:45):
gonna you enjoy being mad at me. Yeah, it's fun,
all right. That seems what you call good radio. All right,
And it's this is gonna be completely organic because you
have no idea what I'm about to say to you.
You have no clue. This makes a good radio seven
one three two one two five seven nine zero. If
you go out tonight to watch preseason basketball, hockey, baseball playoffs,

(21:06):
how about enjoying some delicious wings at Big City Wings.
If you get out there tonight and you're ot maybe
going to see a show, Maybe you're going to check
out some comedy. Maybe you're going to go out and
have some drinks, but you want us some late night eats.
The appetizers at Big City Wings are half off after
nine pm. That's right, nine pm now tomorrow all day
college football, big screen televisions at all thirteen of their locations,

(21:30):
and you can get yourself a Gridiron special. By the way,
the Big City Wing locations open up at ten thirty
tomorrow for twenty four ninety nine. You get five bone
in wings, five boneless wings, five white wings, onion rings,
chili cheese, waffle fries and more. College Game Day ten
ninety nine, bud light pitchers and five dollars yagre miser shots,
Oh Baby, Eat and drink on the cheap with delicious food,

(21:52):
great customer service and wall to wall TVs. That's Big
City Wings if on the location here Ei, there's thirteen
of them, Big Citywings dot Com. What or Matt Thomas.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
Now on Sports Talk seven ninety.

Speaker 3 (22:07):
All right, Ross, I don't want you to hate me
for this, but I'm gonna give you a take that
I'm I don't think I'm by myself on this, but
it probably reaches a little bit here in Houston because
we like our guy a lot too, and I want
to make sure I tell you this. I think CJ.

(22:28):
Strott is a wonderful quarterback. Oh boy, hm hmmm. I
have a feeling that jayde Daniels will be as good,
if not better. Okay, well that's because your Texans hater, Matt. No,
I'm not. He's played five games, he's thrown four touchdowns,

(22:51):
he looks the part. Yeah, Jay, Okay. First of all,
this is the thing when you're comparing two people and
you really think we both are really good. Just because
you put one against the other doesn't mean you're downgrading
the other. Correction would agree with that.

Speaker 12 (23:04):
Yes, uh, he he is not quite there as far
as the passer.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
That c J. Stroud is, and maybe even was five
games in now. His completion percentage is super high, but
it's also been Uh there was a on Twitter one
of the NFL counts I follow was putting it like
all of his completions are short into the right side. Correct,
he doesn't have a lot of targets. He's a better
scrambler than c J. Stroud. Is Is he a better

(23:38):
quarterback than CJ? Of course he's not, right now, could
he be? I mean, it's it could be arguable and
Jayden Daniels is very good. But I think to put
him in C. J. Stroud care territory is just I
think it's pre pre mature. Don't disagree. I'm saying could
be as good and maybe even better. I what I
I loved him out of college and and I'm not

(24:01):
because we work with a bunch of LSU mafia people here,
but he was special in college. And I remember I
said to him and Jalen Williams are gonna be the
only two guys I thought were any good. Caleb, Caleb
and Jalen, who his second cousin. The rest of the
guys nex is playing a little better. Okay, I don't
think this week. I don't think the kid at Minnesota.

(24:22):
What's McCarthy's achilles is ripped? Yeah, that's those are the
five we were thinking about. Michael Pennock is just chilling
holding his helmet watching Kirk Cousins throw for five hundred yards. Yeah,
why again, Atlanta, What the hell are you doing? Mm hmmm, Yeah,
I'm just telling you, Jayden Daniels, to me, it's been
pretty special in a small in a very very small
You're breaking down a lot of comedy's tape. Well, you know,

(24:43):
I'm on and they call me mister All twenty two. Yes,
I have not called them Commedys yet. Okay, I've been
actually accidentally calling them the other name, just because that
was the name forever. You think more people might make
mistakes about the Washington football team or the Cleveland baseball
more mistakes today, just uttered I still say San Diego

(25:03):
Chargers sometimes. Yeah, and that's been years. I know, I
know I would say I would say the Indians Guardians
thing probably so happens a lot because again that this
commander's is two name changes. People love the Washington football
team name. I thought it was so bad and it
was good. Yeah, but it was your top five favorite
all football team. Mers Buddy of Our's Kennet sent me

(25:26):
an email said that the name still isn't to the
previous callers point, the name still isn't resonating with the
people of DC. Okay, so you can change it again.
Let me tell you they go twelve and five this year,
you can you call them the seven Dwarfs. It would
make a difference, It doesn't. They're the city's excited. They
had a good quarterback for the first time since what
Sonny Jurgensen, and they got rid of Daniel Snyder. I mean,
there's at least not this negative aura around that franchise.

(25:49):
It's been for a long time. They're gonna get a
new stadium. It's it's all good. Who's their franchise's greatest quarterback? Oh,
the that teams the Commanders is probably Sonny Jurgensen. Yeah,
that's what I'm saying, Like it's been pretty rough for them.
I mean, let me just give you a few run
Joe Fisman, Doug Williams, Colt McCoy, Jay Schrader, Alex Smith,

(26:14):
it's Kirk Cousins. It's not a real big list of
who the who's who. It's really not Donovan McNabb. Who's
the greatest Chicago Bears quarterback of all time? Jay Cutler
over McMahon, I would say so, I bet, I bet
he leads on all their passing category. Well, actually it's
Sid Luckman. To be honest, you have two of the greatest,

(26:36):
longest lasting NFL franchises that have just a beyond mediocre
list of quarterbacks. I bring up Sid Luckman normally as
a joke, but I guess that's the answer for real. Yeah,
I would think so.

Speaker 10 (26:47):
Three.

Speaker 3 (26:48):
Let's see Sid Luckman, three time Pro bowler, five time
All Pro, four time NFL champion, done so so, Sonny
Jergensen and Sid Luckman are feeling very confident about their
space is in their particular football teams. That's so bad.
Let's go to Ryan and Montgomery at twelve thirty six
on the Matt Thomas Show with Ross Ryan, good afternoon.

Speaker 13 (27:09):
Good afternoon, fellows, how y'all doing well?

Speaker 3 (27:11):
Thank you for calling?

Speaker 13 (27:13):
Okay, so one the oiler stuff. They still make oilers
gear like it's I don't think it's as valuable as
you would think it is because you can.

Speaker 3 (27:22):
Still buy it, right yep. That being said, with all.

Speaker 13 (27:26):
The baseball kind of coming to an end and football
seasons in full swing, me and my buddies are talking
the other day, who on the astros do you think.

Speaker 3 (27:34):
With the best two sport player?

Speaker 7 (27:37):
That's one two.

Speaker 13 (27:39):
My wife and I we have a son, he's about
six months old, and Matt, you being a family man,
when's a good time to have kid number two?

Speaker 3 (27:48):
And I'll hang up and with excellent, by the way, excellent,
excellent and then goes Fridday. Question two of them best
potential to sport athlete. Two names popped in on my immediately,
go ahead, Jeremy Pennon, yord On Alvarez. I had ord
on top of my list. I don't know if i'd

(28:08):
call him a pass catching I would put him an
n rusher. Okay, Um, Paenia is good.

Speaker 7 (28:17):
Um yeah, that's too.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
BA could be a gymnast short. Oh really, not the stereotype.
That's fine. I'm surprised you didn't say he was gonna
be a horse jockey. Now that you mentioned that, Oh
my god. Oh you're the competitive edge. You're the worst.
See in a questioning enthusiast. Could Bregman play too? How
about Bregman being a rodeo cowboy? Sure, that's random. Let's

(28:44):
talk about real sports. Oh so you're down grading the
rodeo cowboy bit. All right, that's fine. Let's see who else. Uh,
I'm sure Kyle Tucker could do something double double sport swim. Yeah,
how was his wingspan?

Speaker 14 (29:00):
Jake?

Speaker 3 (29:00):
Doesn't you have website? Jake Myers on a relay team?
Jake Myers, He's not gonna be an athlete first base. No,
I don't think John Singleton is going to be any
sort of he he'd be a nose tackle. Okay, right,
who John Singleton, Oh, come on.

Speaker 10 (29:26):
The nose.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
What do you want to put not an edge rusher,
not putting him out, and as a linebacker to cover
tight ends in space. I'm doing that all right, I'm
tapping out. And then the second one he asked about
was six months in. When do you start on number two?
M Well, I will give you the answer. My oldest

(29:48):
was born in June of two thousand and my middle
one was born in January of two thousand and three.
How did you feel about that spacing?

Speaker 10 (30:01):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (30:01):
Completely indifferent to it. Well, if you couldn't, well, he's
asking for the ideal space.

Speaker 5 (30:11):
Three years.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
Okay, So you nailed it. Yeah, and her excuse me,
I guess I did. I never quite thought of it
that way, but thank you for putting that perspective. Now,
the third child two thousand, uh huh, two thousand and three,
two thousand and seven, hm hmm. Okay, So we had

(30:35):
a little space between two and three mm hmm. And
I can not to pull the curtain back too much,
but I just here it go because anything goes Friday,
What are we gonna do? So you don't have to
say whatever you know, I don't, I know, I don't,
or you kid, I mean I will? Why not? So
I had moved from I think this is salt Lake

(30:57):
to Minneapolis, and I lived by myself for six months
in Minneapolis. Okay, but as part of my deal with Minneapolis,
they would buy it. They would they were gonna buy
me tickets to go back to Salt Lake to see
the family. Oh wow, that's nice. So one of the
flights Minneapolis is Salt Lake City, picked up at the airport,
got home, and nine months later.

Speaker 15 (31:20):
Are you serious?

Speaker 3 (31:21):
Yeah, I could tell you the exactly the exact this
is not necessary. Well, you asked me to peel the curtains.
I peeled it. I actually didn't know it was going
to go. I've heard that story yeah before, but I
don't know you were really going to say it on air. Yeah.
So my kids are June two thousand, January two thousand
and three, November two thousand and seven, so three and

(31:42):
a half years in between the second and third. Would
you rather have them closer together so that they're all
kind of toddlers together and you can get it out
of the way.

Speaker 14 (31:50):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (31:52):
So my sisters are all two years because my daughter,
my youngest who's sixteen, has been asked for years and
years and years about having another sibling because you wanted
to be closer to her ages compared to the boys.

Speaker 5 (32:03):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (32:03):
I was like, no, no, no, we're good. Three is
plenty company. Three is enough. Yeah, that's for sure, all right,
and it hope to answer your question. That's what we're
here for. Seven one three two one two five seven ninety,
Doctor rot was. It's gonna answer a lot of your
fantasy football questions. At one thirty good. You know what
y'atta do? You had a fantasy football competition between the

(32:26):
two of you. No, I'm not a competition. I'm sure
he knows more than I do. No, but I people
in the streets were talking about your Arizona Green Bay knowledge.
It were first of all astonished as you put any
prep time into the show, and then secondly you just
picked a Rando game and you you nailed it. Maybe
I made everything I set up, though, Matt, Well you
know what we did. We could we could also throw

(32:47):
a game at you and see if Rodo agrees with you.
Oh no, I don't want to do that because I
didn't do more. I was gonna do two nights of
prep and be ready for today. I didn't do anything
last night. You didn't prep it all less. No, I
was just watching Thursday at football and then I caught
up on Rockets preseason. What'd you think?

Speaker 1 (33:00):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (33:01):
I think a men Thompson looks good. He looks athletic,
he looks fast, he looks confident. He is he is
everything that we knew coming out of high school. And
he also had a pull up free throw trumper that airbold,
which I don't think I've ever seen before. Seven one
three two one two five seven ninety seven one three

(33:22):
two one two five seven ninety with a word for

Speaker 1 (34:20):
Lunchtimers back to Houston's longest running lunchtime.

Speaker 3 (34:24):
Sports show with a guy that yells.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
For a living. Yes, Matt Thomas. The legend continues now.

Speaker 3 (34:42):
All right, twelve forty eight. It is the Matt Thomas
Show with Ross. Nice to have all of you with
us here today on this Friday. And then goes Friday.
Texans back on the practice field, kind of a walk
through day. This is the day that come to Jesus
by some guys that may be missing. But Joe Mixon
looked like he's back out there, was at least yesterday.
They mean pierces out there. Uh, mister Laramie Tunsel was

(35:04):
back out there again. You mean fifty he put this yesterday.
As I'm saying he's fifty percent. That's well that if
he practiced Thursday and Friday out of Wednesday, that's three
two out of three practice. He didn't practice much during
training camp, been playing the pre season and yeah, well
on the what plan meat loaf two out of three
and bad? Oh okay, all right, very good. I'm thinking

(35:24):
about the ketchup based crusted product that sounds delicious. Actually,
meat loaf's pretty underrated. Is it underrated or properly rated?

Speaker 14 (35:32):
No?

Speaker 3 (35:32):
No, let me give you this meat loaf mashed potatoes,
green beans, dinner boom. That sounds underrated. Okay, I guess okay,
I'll take your word for it. I mean you wouldn't say, hey, hey,
Ross Scott hasn't dinner.

Speaker 14 (35:45):
We don't go.

Speaker 3 (35:45):
Let's look at some meat loaf. You wouldn't Where would
we go? H? Well, rackeet Ree is gone. Yeah, who
SUPs good meat lof moston barket they've still had those. Yeah.
I think there's one, uh, not too far where I
live from. It's on like West tim in Voss and
I went there and I got some meat loaf. You know,
I'm gonna name m Boston Market. Your meat loaf was terrible,

(36:06):
was it?

Speaker 10 (36:06):
Really?

Speaker 3 (36:06):
I was so disappointed because I used to love them
when I'm a kid. I don't know if they're still operating. Honestly,
I never go there. I went there once and that
was enough. That's too bad?

Speaker 10 (36:15):
All right?

Speaker 3 (36:15):
Where are we going with this? I don't know we're
talking about me? Mister mister yeah, what are you talking about?
He plays almost a hundred percent of the snaps. Yeah,
and he also commits a fifty percent of the time
he commits a penalty. He didn't fall start, he didn't
get called for a false start least week at least
you realize that he got lucky. Could have been a
couple more. It's what it is. We're not We're not

(36:37):
gonna be overly concerned about that, are we again? Texans?
Are they staying six and a half seven a penny
on what book you're looking at? Is how we're looking
on the NFL. Let me go your old markets for you, Maddie. Yeah, Yeah,
there's just honestly, there's just a lot more sexier games
this week to look at. Right well, Washington at Baltimore,
it looks like it's going to be first of forty win.

(37:00):
Maybe on that bad boy, that should be a shootout.
Tampa Bay New Orleans teams seem to be intriguing to me, Well,
I think Spencer Ratler starting and okay, forget what I said,
it will no longer be as intriguing. So yeah, not
as intriguing. Uh. Do you think who's the Cleveland coach?
What's his name, Kevin Kevin Stefanski. Do you think he's
in trouble if they lose this week? I especially if

(37:21):
with the Jets already have done. I think he's gonna
be okay. This is first of all, I don't know.
I think I think he probably wants to put Jack
Jameis Winston in there, but I think the organization is like,
we're sinking all this money to Sean w Shaun Wats
has been terrible. Is he's been the Jose of Bray

(37:42):
of the Cleveland Brown They played the Commanders last week,
who don't have a good defense, and he didn't They
didn't score any points against them. And then a week
before they played the Raiders, who I mean, their defense
is okay and they couldn't score any points, like and
I think it was Andy Dalton that lit up the Raiders.
I think so, yeah, the Raiders defense is beatable because

(38:03):
I think Max Max Crosby was out I think in
that game. So yeah, Deshaun Watson in that offense gotta
be better. So let's let's go to the timeline of
Deshaun forgetting about the sexual predator history that he has. Okay,
he goes here forgetting what John Wilkes Booth did. He
was fine actor, but had nothing new with eyes on
the field play strictly on the field play. He goes

(38:23):
from a super electrifying megastar Houston, Texan. Yes, I can
remember the press conference that the Texans had and they
were shooting in videos from all these people and live
jump bands and it was, oh, this is And then
he was losing games but putting up holatiously big numbers,
where JJ Watt basically walking to the sidelines apologizing for

(38:45):
his defense being so bad, yes to wanting out to
going to Cleveland, basically holding the Brown Browns hostage to
the situation he gets a renegotiated contract with all that
guarantee money, and he has not just under performed Bross,
he has actually sucked since he's been there. He's been

(39:05):
one of the worst quarterbacks in football. I mean, he's
like rookie top twenty bus pick bad. He's worse than
he was as a rookie. He's like Bryce young Pan
went to three straight Pro Bowls as a Texan. Yeah,
his last year he led the NFL in passing yards
and yards per attempt. I don't know what happened. What happened.

(39:30):
He doesn't look fat, he doesn't. I mean, there have
been injuries, but have they caught up with him? What
about this theory two hundred and thirty million guaranteed? What's
my motivation to keep going, what's my motivation to put
in the work, what's my motivation to really study the
other teams? Wouldn't we at this point be hearing that
from teammates underneath their breath? And what's the other explanation.

(39:54):
I'm just trying to think of an explanation. I mean
that explanation would make sense to we fought we would know,
because there are lips in every NFL locker room. Well,
we would know if he was getting there late and
leaving early and not putting the time in. I have
not at this point heard stories to that nature, because
I don't mean, it's not like he's thirty two it's now.

(40:14):
He did miss an entire season, remember that, Yes, just
being away from the sport and entirely six games last year,
and how many is he played this year? Five? He's
been back for eleven games. He still looks completely lost
out there. He's getting worse, he's regressing. So if you
were to just take it at what you've seen, I

(40:35):
would have to go and lean towards He's got his
money and being the very best just doesn't mean any
much as much to me. I mean, is he just
as that's he's mentally taxed from all the outside noise
that could be here there? Yeah, I mean they have
a Mari Cooper, I mean David djok who's been out,
but they got Jerry Judy, they got I mean the

(40:55):
decent running game. They've had some offensive line injuries, but
he has just been He looks scared from pressure. He's
missing easy throws, he's missing open throws. He never in
Houston decision you never ever ever die or go wow,
what does he do now? Granted, DeAndre Hopkins in his
prime would catch every fifty to fifty ball, Mary Cooper

(41:16):
has had some drops, at least as a last week
he was I think leading the NFL in drops. I
don't know what the numbers are now, but I and
I'm sure it's happened to other people, but I can't
remember anybody right offhand that went from so electrifying to
getting a contract and then sucking as bad as he.
He's one of the three worst NFL quarterbacks right now.

(41:39):
Starting that's a shame. Couldn't happen to a better person.
For right Among sexual predators, he's in the top three.
Mike on seven ninety at twelve to fifty five, Mike,
good afternoon.

Speaker 5 (41:52):
Good afternoon, Matt, Uh meat low.

Speaker 1 (41:55):
Recommendation, don't sell out on the on the pin Tweaks,
as he would.

Speaker 3 (42:00):
Say, the pin Tweaks. Huh really Apparently they've got some
scenic views there and good meat loaf.

Speaker 5 (42:08):
And allegedly the twenty nine degree beer.

Speaker 3 (42:11):
That's true. Hey, Mike, thanks for the recommending that. I
really much appreciate that. Thank you mean twin Peaks of
Fine seven hoty sponsorsaf and ask meat by the way,
Uh good no, uh me as meat loaf. Apparently Buddy
Harris just texted me. He said, where's me is? Matt?

(42:32):
No free plugs? I like that place is it close,
very close. We can't go today, but we can wait
to catch you. You're always doing something.

Speaker 10 (42:41):
Well because I have.

Speaker 3 (42:42):
I'm trying to balance family life and work life.

Speaker 10 (42:43):
Fross.

Speaker 3 (42:44):
I know that's strange to you, but I'm gonna try
to get try to be a good dad, a good
husband for the show. Let's go. I've heard those nightcaps
this week. You ain't here for the show. Yes, I
am killing six o'clock hour, doing very well. Yeah, I
don't think this week's can be not much of a hit.
But that's a different issue for a different time, all right.

(43:04):
Seven one three two one two five seven NINTI. By
the way, Kenny Kenneth says that all of the Boston
markets are closed for a year? Are the Are they
rebranded out? Are they rebranding? Did did Gordon Ramsey go
to them and say this is crap? Get in here
and fix this hopefully. Why would you close an entire
chain for year and expect to get reopen. Come on, Kenny,
give me some beats on this. Seven one three two

(43:27):
one two five seven ninety seven one three two one
two five seven To get your fantasy football questions right
against doctor Routo is going to join us in one
half hour here on Sports Talk seven. You may join
us first at seven one three, two, one two five seven.

Speaker 1 (43:40):
NINTI is The Matt Thomas Show with ross Is.

Speaker 3 (43:54):
Anything goes Friday here on The Matt Thomas Show, real
quick on to run to the texta injury report from yesterday.
The official report will be out this afternoon at I
guess a little after three o'clock, and that'll be a
real good feeling of who will play and who will
not play. And then Rossie, We're going to play. How
insensitive was this? It's a brand new game here on
the Matt Thomas Show. Okay, and it revolves around Hurricane

(44:15):
Milton and an NFL reference. Okay, you're like, what, I'm confused.
I know I'm gonna That's what I'm here for. Kamari
Lassier yesterday did not participate in practice. Jimmy Ward did
not participate in practice. Lasser has a shoulder issue, bad
drawing for Jimmy Ward, and Robert Woods has a foot issue.
Limited Derek Barnett, Kenyon Green, Jay Canson, Titus Howard, Joe Mixon,

(44:40):
and then full participation Damian Pierce and Laramie Tunsel. Okay,
so that's how you have it. Look, they shouldn't lose
this game, right, No, they shouldn't. You shouldn't lose her
rookie quarterback, especially who didn't start out the season, has
no games under his belt. New England doesn't have much
of an offense. Stevens is a good back, but I
don't think they've got a whole lot of tar injured

(45:02):
as well. I don't know if Fumblias to Fumbalaya two.
He's been fumbling. Yeah, maybe all systems go for Antonio Gibson,
who we'll find out when Roto coming up at the
bottom of the y will well, we'll have to look
at Ramandre Stevenson practice report. All right, have you break
that down, Matt, So, uh, let's get to I don't
think it's a big story, but I happen to see

(45:22):
it a little bit on these Twitter streets in the
four U category. Okay, uh, there is a weather reporter
for the sport for the Weather Channel that is being
criticized for making a football reference during his coverage of
Hurricane Milton. I saw that. Okay, Now, the audio isn't spectacular,

(45:46):
but it's it's you can can clearly hear what he
had to say. So here is the man with the
Weather channel giving you the rundown of exactly how he's
interpreting what he is seeing so far a couple of
days ago when he was covering hurricane. But you might
still be in the eye right now. There's a lot
more to go.

Speaker 16 (46:03):
I think back to, you know, the Atlanta Falcons first
half Super Bowl winner. We know what happened to the
second half when the Patriots came back to life. So
do not sleep on the second half of Bilton. And
we're definitely concerned now with this surge.

Speaker 3 (46:19):
Okay, So he brought up the Falcons. So he's bringing
up the Falcons huge lead, Patriots come back when the
game as compared to Hey, it's not so bad here
right now, just a lot of wind and rain, but
the worst still could be coming. Okay. And of course
social media, because this is what social media does. Some

(46:41):
people say highly insensitive I because they call me mister analogy.
Uh oh, I think this was just a case of
a ridiculously bad analogy. I mean, I don't know how
hurricanes work, so I don't know if the analogy to
is it fit, just that it's it's just I don't know,

(47:03):
a little crass, a little. Do you think it was insensitive?
Do you think it was insensitive? It didn't seem like
it to me. No. Now, you and I don't take
a lot of things personally correct because if you, if
you take everything personally, like that guy Chase It called
me yesterday and called me a d head. I didn't
take that person I just went back and called in
the office and called him back and called him a

(47:24):
bunch of squear words. Okay, And it feels like that
is taking it personally. Oh, I felt it felt great, though.
Did you notice the energy I had in the last
hour of the show? Tray tell him how good I
was back there when I called it fantastic. I don't
know that I've ever seen anything quite like it personally.
On my end, it probably was the highlight of my day.
Thank you very much, jar I appreciate that. So it
cleansed my palate on Okay, that's good. But back to this.

(47:47):
I don't know football reference, and he was just making
a football reference for a game that was five or
six years ago. He was just trying to explain it
to the people, like, hey, there's a second half to
go here. I don't have any issue with it. Yeah,
I don't. Are Floridian's upset or is it Falcons fans
that are upset? No, I don't know who's upset, but
apparently the tweet got out there. And let me say,

(48:09):
if I can find any comments. To me, it just
felt like a whole lot of nothing. But maybe, you know,
maybe again, I should be more sensitive to certain things.
And frankly, in our business, we gotta be sensitive to
a lot of things because we don't know who we're
going to offend anything. Like for me again, it's very
hard for me to ever get offended at anything. Let's see,
I'm looking at the tweets here. Nick Delatro says, typical, topical, inaccurate,

(48:33):
That's true. Let's see. I've seen the Falcons catch many
strays from twenty eight to three, but this one really
top easily tops them all. The fact that the Weather
Channel headquarters is in Atlanta. Let's see, maybe that's why
he was thinking about it. He's been waiting years to
drop this reference. He chose violence. Mattie Ice is never

(48:58):
gonna live this down. Man, Matt Ryan is catching a stray.
Preach Kyle Shanahan too. We all know what happened in
the second half. Alex George says, I am triggered. This
is amazing. He cooked blank blank blank. Can't say that out.
It sounds like most people are okay with it. Weather
channel trying to get some of those football clicks. I mean,

(49:20):
that's it works, if you know. I mean, it's funny.
It's not gonna make me turn on the weather channel
in the hotel I was in Oklahoma City that we
didn't have a weather channel. We had ACI Weather. Have
you ever seen the ACI Weather channel. No, it's it's well,
it's like there's nobody on the channel. It's not no,
it's it's very it's very non personality driven. Theres the
graphics aren't incredible. It's just it's just weather. There's no stories,

(49:41):
there's no so you would retool it. There's no Jim
Cantoy throwing his body around and stuff that's good. There's
no people like standing in puddles and having one hundred
mile an hour winds bear down on them. Thankfully, we've
had no deaths with people. News reporters covering this thing. Yeah,
but do you think but here's the reality of it,

(50:02):
and this I don't mean to be morbid on you here,
But is it going to take someone dying for the
people to back off on this stuff? It's really incredible.
Are they doing it because they're doing it as a
service to the public, or are they doing it because
they want to look like they're heroes and it's good television?
I think if you're flipping or up and down to
I don't know, weather coverage and one has people in
a studio and one has people like with winds and
debris possibly flying on them, just from an entertainment standpoint,

(50:25):
you probably stick on this side of one.

Speaker 5 (50:27):
Right.

Speaker 3 (50:27):
While I agree with you on that, I also don't
want to see someone get hit by a road sign,
Flying debris and having someone get knocked out live on
camera is something I'm looking forward to. Find It's not
what I'm looking forward to, but I watch it. It's
the matter with you. I didn't put them out there.
I don't even I didn't even watch it much weather

(50:49):
coverage either. Anyways. I I don't want to say I'm
obsessed with it, but I will. I will turn it
on over anything else on television. I feel like, I mean,
you can too in for a couple of minutes, but
then after that. I mean, the storm's moving nine miles
an hour or whatever it was, and it's like a
fast storm. What are you staying engaged for? To me,

(51:12):
maybe you're right, maybe maybe a subconsciously I'm looking check
it every couple of hours. You have to do You
have to watch hours of coverage you can, I guess, yeah,
But I mean the other night when we were coming
back home from we went from Salt Lake City, from
uh Salt Lake City to Oklahoma City. They were on
live at thirty o'clock in the morning. When I came
home internate from Olahoma City, I'll put the Weather Channel

(51:33):
radar shown on my maxim and they were headed on.
So they mean they go to twenty four more, just
like we hear at KTRH two. Yeah. I shouldn't say we,
I it's you you sleep well? No, I don't. But
you would help out if we needed you too. I
guess I booked you a guest last time. Who'd you
get me for barrel?

Speaker 14 (51:48):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (51:49):
That's right, you have me weather dude. Yeah, Matt Lanza
is I believe he's up for Houstony of the Year. Yes,
he is. Good for him, I think, I retweeted I
hope you get help. He wins just because he came
in talk with you. Yeah, if you would have said no,
thanks out voted for anybody but him. It's true. Well,
am I gonna get some Houstony of the Year votes?

(52:09):
What have you done for the city of Weather, sports, entertainment?
Good a good man? Have you done a good job
at all of those asking for advice? Guy called in,
you're King Kingwood. What do they call someone from Kingwood?

Speaker 10 (52:25):
H King?

Speaker 5 (52:27):
What?

Speaker 3 (52:27):
I don't know? I mean, you're a King Woody, I'm
a I'm a Harris County guy. Okay, you're in Harris County.
I'm saying it's not Harris County Person of the Year. Okay,
So you know what I'll start small. I should be
I should be the King Kingwoodian of the Year, Kingwood,
I'm the I'm the King King Witterer. Hmm. Then ring, Well,

(52:49):
then do it at all by work in Houston. I
call Houston sports teams about sports. That's true. I mean,
as you've heard the promo say, I'm kind of mister
Houston in any respects. Yeah, that promo we need to get.
We need to know if we have Royce weist on
the air, we're gonna have any sense that's ridiculous. Seven
one three two one two five seven nine zero. How

(53:11):
hard ross are we rooting for the Tigers and our
guardians to beat the Yankees? Extremely and how hard are
we rooting for the Potteries to beat the Dodgers. We'll
discuss that come up in a minute. Eleven minutes past
one o'clock. Doctor Rotto joins us at the bottom of
the hour here on Sports Talk seven ninety seven one
three two one two five seven ninety If you want
to jump into the conversation seven one three two one

(53:32):
two five seven nine zero. Now, if you've been watching
any of the Florida story coverage, you know how bad
it was with the winds and debris. And we've certainly
had that with Barrel. We had that was sometimes our
summer storms. And that means you're trees probably weren't ready
for such conditions. Get them ready now. Get them ready
perhaps for some new root feeding or a tree pruning,

(53:54):
or if you want to develop some new trees for
your home. You call Affordable Tree Service at seven one three,

your trees can withstand that and they remain happy during
those turbulent times. That's why you call Martin spoon More

Speaker 1 (54:42):
Matt Thomas returns on Sports Talk seven ninety.

Speaker 3 (54:50):
Busy Show. Roto's coming up at one thirty two twenty.
We have non Flora Saurus Ross. Where is your non
Flora sawyer from this week? My friend? It's from New Zealand. Man,
that's a lie. You can't even lie right? What do
you mean? I will bet you unless you are gonna
start chasing after the story right now from New Zealand.
You're a liar. What are you talking of? You've been

(55:13):
better as saying Arizona give you a better chance. Uh,
we'll see what I can find, all right, and then
we have Bob Soshi, the voice of the Patriots two
thirty wonderful. It's good. Do we get voices of the show?
You know what I mean? No, I don't think play
by play. Guys don't know No, don't know anything. Oh
my experience. That's funny.

Speaker 10 (55:32):
You know.

Speaker 3 (55:33):
I used to get invited on TV shows here in
the marketplace, and now they just take any random rand
people to do their shows. I'm sorry, Matt, I don't
I've never been on any TV show ever, So you
don't pay me on and going. I'm gonna waste my
time going over there. You do a great chot back,
very knowledgeable. Everyone loves you and you're the you and
you're the king of King.

Speaker 10 (55:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (55:53):
No, that guy chased call me yesterday. He does not
like me. Okay, maybe not everybody, No, there's not. There's
a few people that a lot of people. I've blocked
him on Twitter. It makes me feel better. That's okay,
that's good. Seven one three, seven ninety. Let's go to
Will at one eighteen of the Matt Thomas Show with
Ross on Sports Talk seven. I will good afternoon, afternoon guys.

Speaker 4 (56:12):
H Friday, So I would be careful with the nicknames
for your Kingwood Crown, I guess because you know, like
it doesn't go any of them. Would wouldn't go well
with the old throat goat nickname, So.

Speaker 10 (56:29):
Be careful of that one.

Speaker 14 (56:30):
MH.

Speaker 10 (56:32):
But uh, I got a couple of questions for.

Speaker 17 (56:35):
You, guys.

Speaker 10 (56:35):
I'm I've I've made.

Speaker 4 (56:38):
A a uh let's uh parlay and I don't I
usually never hit him, but so I want to get
y'all's question on I just took the over on every
like the the UT Oklahoma game, Oregon and Ohio State
and also uh Mississippi State and LSU, and then I

(56:59):
want to get y'alls on those three. And then the
last one is if for some reason the Yankees and
the Dodgers make it to the World Series, how it's
probably impossible, but is there a way to just like
send a message out to just nobody watch it so

(57:19):
it gets the worst ratings ever? But you know, I
was just I know exactly what they want and I
hate it with a passion.

Speaker 3 (57:26):
Yeah. Thanks, good questions. Well, the first one can't help
you a lot on because I just don't know enough
about the second two teams, you're not gonna break down
the l s U. We should we get Gordian here?

Speaker 5 (57:35):
Where?

Speaker 10 (57:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (57:36):
Where is Gordy? He can tell us that the over
is gonna hit in the l s U. Is it
Mississippi State? Like employees? Is a company? Do on Farnay's
I don't know? And what was the third goal? House
died Oregon? It feels like that could go over all right,
So Gordon, gord if you're in the building, can us
give us a thought on the l s U? All
miss over under on that? But why would why would

(57:58):
my man will bet on three games? But he didn't
know how he felt about him. He's trying to get
parlay going. Okay, you have always led me towards them.
Don't ever pick parlays. Parlays generally, and unless you treat
it like a lotto ticket, I would think throwing this
money away. I would think if you want to make
just a little bit more, you could probably combine two
bets that you feel very strong about. But that'd be best.

(58:20):
As far as I'd go to me, you would hit
both of them. Yeah, I know, I know.

Speaker 11 (58:24):
Um.

Speaker 3 (58:26):
I think Texas wins by at least fourteen well, the
line is fourteen and a half, and then I would
total on that is forty eight and a half. Now
you're gonna need I mean, oh, you just got a
pretty solid defense all of their all. They got five
wide receivers down, including their number one guys. So I
see that's gonna be tough to go over. Could I
see twenty seven to ten? Yeah, so I would I

(58:47):
would take Texas giving the points, and I would take
the under in the game. Oh oh, thank god. First
of all, I want to applaud you for being here.
Tell the true how many of our employees are in
the office right now?

Speaker 10 (59:03):
What's just got here?

Speaker 3 (59:04):
That's one? Continue to show he's got a show though,
Calum and I. That's okay. Programmers, that's two or three?

Speaker 7 (59:10):
Our big boss Eddie Martini, ok it's four.

Speaker 3 (59:12):
How Mey sells people are here?

Speaker 14 (59:14):
One?

Speaker 3 (59:14):
Okay, we got it. Can we play Gordy's intro? Do
we have good? Do you have Gordy's intro? That's a.
That's a that's a staple of the radio show. Let's
just get this real quick. It's it's great. It adds
to the King Show with Ross. All right, I'm here
to save the show, all right, your thoughts on the
ole Miss LSU over total? What is the total?

Speaker 10 (59:33):
Right now?

Speaker 18 (59:34):
I go look holder, well, I'll tell you and I'm
not being full on Homer here, yeah you are, you
always are. LSU has won sixteen of the last twenty
two meetings with ole Miss.

Speaker 3 (59:46):
Sixty two and a half.

Speaker 18 (59:48):
Ole Miss has no ole Miss has not won in
Baton Rursians two thousand and eight. Brian Kelly is head
coach at LSU, has only lost one game in Death Valley.
That was two years ago to Hendon Hooker and the
Tennessee Volunteers WO. So there's a lot of things going
in Elshue's favorite. Ole Miss is a three and a
half point favorite. They've been sitting about that. Their best receiver,
Trey Harris, who le he's not just the SEC, but

(01:00:09):
the country in receiving yards, may not go this week.
He's questionable. That's a big loss for Jackson Dart and
that offense. And here's you talk about good on good.
Ole Miss leads the country, not just the SEC. They
lead the country in sacks with twenty four. LSU one
of the least sacked teams in the country. Garrettus martsa
Olympic sacked twice this year. Good on good something that's

(01:00:30):
got to give.

Speaker 3 (01:00:31):
Ask you. So that sounds like an under six two
and a half. Why doesn't Gordy come to do the
show with me? Because he never you give you don't
give this kind of material away. Yeah, I'm sorry. I
didn't break down the old Miss LSU game for it,
red River a breakdown.

Speaker 18 (01:00:44):
Oklahoma has won eleven in the last fifteen meetings with
the Texas. Last year, Texas was awesome, right they made
the College Football Playoff.

Speaker 3 (01:00:52):
Still lost to Oklahoma. Yeah, because they got stopped on
fourth down in the red zone a couple of times.
Also turned the ball over there they wait, it was
interceptions in that game.

Speaker 18 (01:01:04):
I believe it was Quinn yours? And who's their starring quarterback?
Would And when's the last time Quinn you were starter games?
It's been a couple of weeks. Yeah, he's gonna be
ready to go. So what are you pretty? You know
you victory? Just get those cheers ready, arch arch arch
when Quinn turns it over twice, Okay, we'll see real
quick thirty seconds.

Speaker 3 (01:01:24):
Do the people that follow you on locked on sec
realize you hate Alabama as much as you do.

Speaker 18 (01:01:29):
Yeah, but fifteen other fan bases in the conference hate
Alabama's okay, So you're just trying the panda to the
one fan base of Bama fans when the fifteen others
all hate them.

Speaker 3 (01:01:38):
Any idea where the current goal post is and among
the river in the Nashville bat area.

Speaker 18 (01:01:43):
So they chopped it off and they and they auctioned
off the pieces. They sold out. They sold off the
pieces of the goal posts. You could buy it. They
sold out by Monday morning. But I think the bids
were going for like eleven hundred dollars a piece.

Speaker 7 (01:01:55):
Stop it. You could get a piece of the goal
posts for eleven hundred.

Speaker 3 (01:01:58):
Dollars for your eleven No, I mean it was three inches.
I believe eleven hundred dollars for three inches four on
a good day. Clip that for next week. That's Chris
Gordy locked on SEC. He will be appearing on Montgomery,
Alabama on k MAL radio. Coming up here about it now.
I think he's in Lafayette's gonna be Yeah, he'll be

(01:02:19):
in Fayetteville later this day today, He'll be in Pensacola
this afternoon. The man moves all over the place before
I get to doctor Rodo, Michael and the Woodlands on
seven Untim Michael, good afternoon.

Speaker 10 (01:02:30):
Hey what's going on? Matt hi Ross?

Speaker 5 (01:02:33):
Yo?

Speaker 3 (01:02:33):
Hey, hey man, real heartbreaking not seeing the shows and
the postseason.

Speaker 19 (01:02:38):
Hey man, watch postason baseball right now.

Speaker 3 (01:02:42):
Thanks, We're gonna cry now. Thanks. Yeah, you've You've just
poured salt on our wounds, my friend. Yeah, thank you.

Speaker 5 (01:02:47):
I'm telling you, man, it's hard to watch baseball right now.

Speaker 7 (01:02:49):
I'll check it on the scores, but I'm not really
in tuned.

Speaker 3 (01:02:52):
But Robson, I'm calling ask some questions for you about
the Rockets. Go for it? Yeah, you know you got
first hand view, you know, first row I did do
you do you see.

Speaker 10 (01:03:02):
Us, you know making a jump?

Speaker 5 (01:03:04):
You know, do you see Sengoon or Jalen Green having
an All Star season or anyone on the Rockets?

Speaker 3 (01:03:09):
You know, are we gonna have an All Star?

Speaker 5 (01:03:11):
And you know, if not, you know what needs to
happen for us to you know even you know, make
the play.

Speaker 10 (01:03:16):
In this year?

Speaker 3 (01:03:17):
Well, I think the team and thank you Michael for
the phone call. Uh, it's the deepest it's been in
five years. So they'd be saying to say, Ross and man,
I can't. It's got so you've got a lot of
different elements. You are getting Tari Beck, who's an extra reinforcement.
You've got to read Shepherd, who's gonna, I would think,
be maybe the best perimeter player on the team behind
Fred into a much smaller extent, Dylan Jalen needs to

(01:03:39):
be what he was in March out. He needs to
be what he was the first five months of the season.
I don't really care about whether or not they're All
Stars or not, because it's really a popularity contest. To
be honest with you, unless you're unless you're picked by
a reserve. Yeah, all stars are generally pretty good players
at all but if you're named, and also that means

(01:03:59):
you've done something really, really good. Correct It's now some
guys are averaging nine and seven isn't normally making the
All seventeam I don't see why they can't make at
least the play in. I say the play in should
be your aim, and then yeah, mom, is the West
is so deep? My goal to me would be seven, eight,
seven or eight seed. We have to only win once

(01:04:21):
to get into the playoffs. That's my goal. It'd be nice.
We'll see and for one of the three players you
just brought up, Shoon Jalen Green, it's targing me for
a men to be a superstar unless he starts to
become a better point scorer. But he does everything else beautifully.
You don't need him necessarily to score. Yeah, that's what

(01:04:43):
I'm saying is that of all things he doesn't need
to do. I don't think anyone's gone. Men's got to
score fifteen points a game. If Alpi can can be
serviceable three point shooting, you can't have two non shooters
on the floor in twenty twenty four in the NBA.
So having a Men Thompson and Shinoon not take and
not make threes on the floor, if that is going
to be the starting five with them Men Thompson in there,
that's that's really Teams are going to pack the pain,

(01:05:05):
so you're gonna be limited in what you can do
offensively that way. But if Shangoon can can be kind
of a stretch five, and he talked about it with
us Matt when we had him on media Day, talking
about he makes them in practice. He just needs to
kind of get over that mental hurdle of the pressure
of being in game, and everybody makes more in practice.
That's every NBA player basically everywhere, everywhere than they do

(01:05:27):
in the game. But if he can get that those
numbers up and be a be a threat and a
threat and a very small thing before get to roto,
if he can get to becoming an eighty percent free
throw shooter, that's gonna add six points to his game
eighty percent. If he gets a seventy three, he's gonna
add seventy gets a seventy three, seventy four percent, it's

(01:05:49):
gonnadd four points?

Speaker 10 (01:05:50):
Was game?

Speaker 3 (01:05:50):
What's he? What was he at last year? Like seventy
high sixties, But he's had tears where he's in the seventies,
isn't he? No, he've got off to really fast start
last year and then drop okay one seventy one and
then sixty nine point three. Yeah, if that gets the
seventy three to seventy five, let's go okay, small bout
small small goals. Yeah, and maybe a few more three
point shots made. But I can tell you this, I

(01:06:12):
think Fred Van Bliet still runs this bad boy, good
assists man, good shooter, doesn't turn the ball over one
eight Sports Talk said, I named doctor Rote is up

Speaker 1 (01:07:01):
This is the Matt Thomas Show on Sports Talk seven ninety.

Speaker 17 (01:07:19):
Waiver claims have to be made and I've got trade
proposals for ly in my way.

Speaker 3 (01:07:33):
My first round pick turned out to be a big fly.

Speaker 17 (01:07:39):
I don't know which wide receiver I need to drive.
Doctor roto give me the news. I really don't know
what I should do. My quarterback keeps getting sacked. I've
got a mad case on fat.

Speaker 3 (01:08:04):
It is the fastest thirty minutes of major market radio.
We say hello with the good doctor calling us. Are
you back home? I don't even know the answer to
this question.

Speaker 10 (01:08:13):
I am back. Oh I never left home. Uh mt
I probably should have. But we're all safe. We have power,
we have internet.

Speaker 5 (01:08:21):
Oh there is about an hour north arn I was lucky,
but uh it's a pretty big mess.

Speaker 10 (01:08:25):
A lot of tornadoes here, four myers.

Speaker 3 (01:08:27):
Yeah, all right, So how scared were you? One to ten.

Speaker 10 (01:08:32):
Four?

Speaker 3 (01:08:33):
That's not bad, I mean, thankfully. I mean at granted,
a lot of the storm hit north of you, but still,
I mean.

Speaker 5 (01:08:39):
Tornadoes were close. You definitely could feel them. And that
was that was crazy. I know you guys know all
about that.

Speaker 3 (01:08:43):
Oh for sure, I've got I have friends who live
in West Palm Beach. We're getting the tornadoes, which is
on the other side of the states. It's absolutely crazy.
All right, we were talking about And by the way,
great to have you with us. And if you want
to get a question and for doctor Orta will take
that in the next segment at seven one three two
one two five seven ninety seven one three two one
two five seven. Auntie, help me out with something I
don't know if you're watching lots of Cleveland Brown football.

(01:09:05):
But look, we all know Deshaun Watson very well, both
on and off the football field. What has happened to
him when you watch him play? That makes him a
bottom three NFL fantasy whatever you want to call him
quarterback right now in the league.

Speaker 10 (01:09:21):
Well, I mean, look, so here's the issue.

Speaker 5 (01:09:24):
He's played some bad defenses and he hasn't been able
to do anything against them.

Speaker 10 (01:09:28):
What's going to happen when he.

Speaker 5 (01:09:29):
Starts playing Pittsburgh twice in the Saints and the Chargers
and Denver, It's only gonna get worse. A. He's more
inaccurate than he's ever been, and I think he could
cover up better.

Speaker 10 (01:09:39):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:09:39):
He seemed to cover up better when he was with
the Texans. He's not running as well, and the offensive
line is terrible. I mean literally two of the three
guys who are starting. Teller is out, Willis is out,
Conkland is out, so nobody's protecting him. He's not accurate,
and he's not running as fast. Put those three things together,
you have a disaster.

Speaker 3 (01:09:58):
So is there any hope that it can be fixed?
Or are people dropping to Sean wantson like flies.

Speaker 5 (01:10:03):
Right now, here's here's hope, Nick Chubb. When Nick Chubb,
because right now there's no running game to speak up.
Don't tell me Jerome Ford, don't tell me Donta Foreman.
That's not a running game.

Speaker 10 (01:10:14):
When Nick Chubb is there, he's unstoppable.

Speaker 5 (01:10:17):
That means all of a sudden, stead of Watson throwing
thirty six to forty times a game, maybe he's throwing
like twenty four to thirty times a game. And if
you can make a couple of connections here or there,
maybe find a could pass somehow Joku back healthy.

Speaker 14 (01:10:32):
Maybe they could be.

Speaker 10 (01:10:33):
D I don't want to say decent.

Speaker 5 (01:10:34):
I'm not as disgusting as they've been. But it's all
about Nick Chubb.

Speaker 3 (01:10:37):
All right, let's get some other games. Tell me this
Washington Baltimore game for US fantasy folks that have players
on either side are going to get really excited because
this feels like a game that first of forty may
win it.

Speaker 5 (01:10:49):
No, yeah, this is a great game. Right, you won
every part of this game. You want Lamar, you are
Derreck Henry. You want Zay Flowers in the biggest way possible.

Speaker 10 (01:10:57):
I Loveday Flowers. This week.

Speaker 5 (01:10:59):
Isaiah likely should even do something for Washington. I don't
know if Brian Robinson's playing. He didn't practice today, but
that doesn't mean he won't. He didn't practice last Frida,
and he played. Terry Mclaurin's in a great spot. Jayan
Daniels is in a great spot. Zach Ertz is in
a great spot. Diani Brown might actually make a play
this week. So I like every part of this game.
If you're playing in DFS, you want to load up

(01:11:19):
in this game too.

Speaker 3 (01:11:20):
All right, give me some other news about let's see
a matchup between Ooh, Tennessee's gonna go with Will Levis
this week? Did Joe Flacco run Indianapolis? What are we
seeing with both of these guys in their respective positions?

Speaker 5 (01:11:36):
Sadly, I wish we had more Joe Flacco. You're gonna
have Anthony Richardson be the starting quarterback. I feel pretty
confident about that. Michael Pittman shockingly did practice today, So
everybody thought, including myself, he was going to be out
for a few weeks. He did practice, so don't rule
him out. Jonathan Taylor has been ruled out, so you're
get going back to trace sermon, you're going back to

(01:11:58):
Tyler Goodson. The biggest problem here's the defense. The defense
has not played very well at all, especially in the
back end. And so I think Tony Pollard's gonna be
really popular for the Titans. But let's not forget Calvin
Ridley could have a big week and DeAndre Hopkins everybody
knows him pretty well, he could have a big week too.

Speaker 3 (01:12:16):
We got a quarterback change in Las Vegas for the Raiders.
Will it make a difference in a game against the Steelers?

Speaker 10 (01:12:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:12:22):
I think it actually will. I like Am O'Connell. I
liked him last year too.

Speaker 10 (01:12:26):
He doesn't make a ton of mistakes. He's not exciting.
He's not a guy who's.

Speaker 5 (01:12:29):
Gonna throw for three hundred yards and four touchdowns.

Speaker 10 (01:12:32):
That's not who he is.

Speaker 5 (01:12:33):
Gardner Minschheld makes a lot of bad mistakes. We know
this by now. So I don't think that O'Connell's gonna
beat him beat himself.

Speaker 10 (01:12:40):
Right. So they're gonna run the ball, They're.

Speaker 5 (01:12:42):
Gonna make some he's gonna throw it out if he
gets pressured by TJ. Watt, He'll make some smart throws.
He will keep this game close. That being said, somebody's
got to make a play. Do I expect Devanta Adams
to play No? Do I expect Zamir White to play No?
But I think Madison Myers, Tucker, We'll all have to
step up. And the defense has really been bad too,

(01:13:03):
So the defense is gonna have to stop Justin Fields
from running for eighty yards.

Speaker 3 (01:13:06):
Well, go to New York this week. Giants and the Bengals. Now,
the Bengals are one and four, but help me out.
They're not disappointing us in fantasy numbers. Whise are they?

Speaker 10 (01:13:16):
No?

Speaker 5 (01:13:16):
The Bengals, But that's one in fourteen that there is, right.
Joe Burrow has been fantastic. Jamar Chase and T Higgins
are gonna have a great game. You know, Chase Brown
has run really well. I know he's questionable, but I
expect that he's gonna play. So you want to start
all your Bengals. Now, the Giants are interesting here. Malik
Neighbors is out, okay, Devin Singletary very questionable, did not

(01:13:39):
practice much today at all, So you might see another
Tyrone Tracy game. You're gonna see Darius Slayton again and
Jonzeale Robinson, And I do think Daniel Jones is actually startable.
Cincinnati's not very good in the back end. This could
be a very high scoring.

Speaker 3 (01:13:53):
Game Buffalo of the Jets, new Jets coach. I don't
know if I'd make a coaching change if I'm going
against a Buffalo team that has two very disappointing losses
in a row.

Speaker 5 (01:14:04):
I think they did. I think they needed to make
a change. I don't think they were winning the division
with sala. Is he a good defensive coordinator? Yeah, I
think he's a great defensive coordinator. Was he a great
head coach? I don't think so. I think Rogers was frustrated.
There's a lot of just frustration going on. So, look,
Breece Hall has to be better. And I don't blame
Brice Hall.

Speaker 10 (01:14:22):
I don't.

Speaker 5 (01:14:22):
I just don't think they've been using him very well.
I think Aaron Rodgers will do what he does. And
you know, look, if you can't run the ball with
Breece Hall against a Buffalo Bill's defense that is soft
against the run. Aaron Rodgers knows this. He's not going
to go to Garrett Wilson twenty two times. That's what's
going to happen. They're going to run the ball twenty
two times and watch for Braylan Allen as well. So

(01:14:43):
Garrett Wilson is startable, but I don't like him as
much as I did last week for Buffalo. Be careful
here because there's a lot of injuries. Khalil Shakir very doubtful.
James Cook is questionable as well. If Cook doesn't go,
look for rookie Ray Davis.

Speaker 10 (01:14:58):
He's very explosive.

Speaker 3 (01:15:00):
Is it Carolina Atlanta? I don't think is anybody's title
contender in the NFC, but Kirk Cousins is getting some
yards down the field and finally got Kyle Pitts involved
in the offense. Going against Carolina this week, I would
load up on Atlanta players, correct.

Speaker 10 (01:15:15):
You would?

Speaker 5 (01:15:15):
You're gonna load up on Cousins. Bijon Robinson should have
a big week. Tyler al Jeer should have a touchdown
this week. It's possible now between Drake London, Kyle Pitts
and Darnell Mooney, I think one of those guys is
going to have the big week? Is it London may
not be because of j C. Horn Pitts.

Speaker 10 (01:15:30):
You got to get Pits.

Speaker 5 (01:15:31):
Involved because if he doesn't get involved, it's like he
doesn't care. He's not putting in all that effort, so
it would be nice to see him be more involved.
I don't think this is a Mooney week, because they usually.

Speaker 10 (01:15:41):
Go to Mooney when they're losing. I don't think they're
going to be losing here.

Speaker 5 (01:15:44):
For Carolina, you always want to start Shuba Hubbard, and
you want to start Deontay Johnson, who they just go
to exclusively.

Speaker 3 (01:15:51):
All right, Drake May starts for the Pats this week. Honestly,
we really haven't paid much attention to England since they
upset the Bengals in Week one in the Natty. The
Texans are slowly getting some players back, especially in the
running back room. If I have Texans running back mainly
Joe Mixon, am I playing him this week against the
Pats defense.

Speaker 5 (01:16:12):
I think you're playing Mixon if he plays. If not,
I think we can play Damien Pierce, right. I think
he's certainly playable. The question here is this, Christian Gonzalez
is a great cover guy. Stefan Diggs are gonna be
in the slot, so that should mean that Gonzalez is
going to cover Tank Dell if that happens, which it could.
Another Texans receiver is going to have to step up.

(01:16:33):
Is that Xavier Hutchinson maybe? Is it Dalton Schultz? Maybe
some other receivers going to have to play well with
Nico Collins not there.

Speaker 10 (01:16:43):
If CJ.

Speaker 5 (01:16:43):
Stroud can get Hutchinson and Diggs and Schultz and then
the running game involved, Texans are at least ten points better. Now,
I do like Drake May Jacobi Prissett's things. I like
Drake May, and I think I'm excited for the future
of the Patriots.

Speaker 10 (01:16:57):
But the future is not going to be this week.

Speaker 3 (01:16:59):
What about think Tank Dell maybe getting a few end
to rounds over the course of the game.

Speaker 5 (01:17:04):
I mean that certainly could happen. But Christian Gonzalez a
tough cover because he's big.

Speaker 10 (01:17:08):
He's like six to two.

Speaker 5 (01:17:09):
Now, I know Tank Dell is a small guy's very fast,
But you don't want Gonzales covering Tank. You want Tank
to be in spaces. But it all depends on how
the Patriots approach this game. If because you can't shadow
digs in the slot just doesn't work that way.

Speaker 3 (01:17:23):
All right, ladies and gentlemen, Now you're opportunity to get

Speaker 3 (01:19:11):
All right, you want to get in seven one three, two, one,
two five seven out of the Matt Thomas Show with
Ross Doctor roto with us until the top of the hour.
Let's go to Justin and Montgomery for you and doctor Rodo. Hello, Justin, Hey,
how's going guy?

Speaker 14 (01:19:27):
Thanks for thanking my fall.

Speaker 3 (01:19:28):
You got it, Doctor Rode.

Speaker 14 (01:19:30):
I got Kirk Cousins or Anthony Richardson, and I need
a receiver since elitite neighbors is out.

Speaker 5 (01:19:44):
Am I supposed to just guess the receivers who are
available in your league.

Speaker 3 (01:19:47):
Yeah, come on now, help them help the young man out.

Speaker 14 (01:19:50):
I need Cooper. I have Cooper Cup and Tyreek Hill. Yeah,
so yeah, I need to pick up one.

Speaker 10 (01:19:57):
All right.

Speaker 5 (01:19:57):
I don't know who's available in your league, but I
do like John Downs a Ton take a look at
Alec Pierce a little bit. So since you have Richardson,
find a Colt receiver, try to go for the hook up.
Richardson is crazy, I mean, doesn't make a lot of
great plays, but you can't run against Tennessee. You have
to throw on Tennessee. Their run defense is much better
than people think. So look, Richardson likes taking chances downfield.

(01:20:19):
Start with Downs first if he's available. Next go at Pierce,
and next.

Speaker 10 (01:20:22):
Go with a d Mitchell.

Speaker 3 (01:20:23):
All right, thanks for that. Let's go to John in
Missouri City for doctor Ronto one seven oni at won fifty.

Speaker 14 (01:20:28):
Hello John, Hello guys, I got doing today?

Speaker 3 (01:20:31):
Good?

Speaker 19 (01:20:33):
Uh fleck spot standard league. So I go Braylan Allen
or Ramondre Stephenson and my defense, so I go Colts
or green Bay Packers.

Speaker 5 (01:20:43):
I'm gonna go green Bay for sure. Stevenson, that's a
tough one. I don't know if he's he's very questionable. Right,
he's got a footage injury. He did not practice Thursday,
he didn't practice today, So you're gonna have to go
down to the last second on that one. I mean,
if it seems available, you might want to look that direction.
But I don't dislike Braylan Allen. Good chance that he

(01:21:04):
scores this week in the Standard League. I mean, the
Jet should move the ball and you can run on buffalo.

Speaker 3 (01:21:09):
All right, that's the good phone call from you. Thank you.
Seven one three two one two five seven nine. If
you want to get in seven one three two one
two five seven Nini Geo in a task as Sina
for doctor rotal Hi Geo.

Speaker 20 (01:21:21):
Hey, rod O, gnat you're doing okay man? So uh,
I have from my running back my army two spot
Trey Sermon or Rico Dowell and from a flick should
I put in DeAndre Hopkins, Darius Slayton or Tyrone Tracy?

Speaker 10 (01:21:37):
All right, great questions?

Speaker 5 (01:21:38):
So hmm Tracy looked really good, he did, So I
would wait.

Speaker 14 (01:21:44):
I would wait on.

Speaker 5 (01:21:45):
The Giant game, and let's see what happens with Singletary.
If Singletary plays last second, you could pivot to Slayton.
If Singletary's out, go with Tracy. He looked really hard
to take down.

Speaker 10 (01:21:55):
In terms of Sermon and Dowdell Man.

Speaker 5 (01:21:57):
If Dallas wants any chance to win this game, don't
have to give the alt rico more. I think that
he should be involved in that offense. Trey Sherman's okay,
but you know, Anthony Richardson likes running the ball.

Speaker 10 (01:22:07):
Goodson is going to be there.

Speaker 5 (01:22:08):
I want to stay away from the close running game.

Speaker 3 (01:22:10):
Was Donald supposed to be as good of a receiver
out of the backfield as he was last week?

Speaker 10 (01:22:15):
Yeah, yeah, he's pretty good. They just, you know, don't
always throw it that way.

Speaker 5 (01:22:18):
Dak likes to throw it downfield, but Donnell's really look
they should have been giving him the ball from week one.
I mean, use Zeke at the goal line, use Zeke
on fourth and one, but gived out of the ball outside.

Speaker 3 (01:22:28):
Of Atn, Connor or Hall need two of those three
running backs to be used this week.

Speaker 5 (01:22:34):
I am going to go breist Hall for sure. Oh man,
that's a tough one. Gimme Connor. Not that they don't
like Etn, but Tank Bisby's look good.

Speaker 3 (01:22:42):
All right, James Cook or Josh Jacobs this week Josh Jacobs. Okay,
let's go to our buddy Htown Wiggy on seven hoy Htown.
What do you got for Rodo?

Speaker 14 (01:22:54):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:22:54):
I needed to see who I need to start.

Speaker 14 (01:22:56):
I got Kirk Cousins or Jalen Hurt.

Speaker 10 (01:23:01):
Oh, we're starting Jalen Hurts. All the way. Cleveland plays
a lot of man covers.

Speaker 5 (01:23:05):
You put aj Brown and man coverage.

Speaker 10 (01:23:08):
Good luck with that.

Speaker 5 (01:23:09):
Aj Brown was an inch away.

Speaker 10 (01:23:11):
From being the lock of the week an edge.

Speaker 3 (01:23:13):
That's it, that's it.

Speaker 10 (01:23:15):
You got a better guy, But I mean he was.

Speaker 3 (01:23:17):
Oh, now you're teasing us. All right, let's go to Caso.
What's your chilli kin question for doctor Rode? Hello?

Speaker 10 (01:23:24):
Okay, so.

Speaker 19 (01:23:26):
Hey guys, two separate leagues, Jordan Love or Baker Mayfield.
And then in my other league, would I entertain what
is it Jared Goff or Aaron Rodgers?

Speaker 14 (01:23:39):
And one more?

Speaker 19 (01:23:40):
Were you think about the Atlanta defense this weekend?

Speaker 3 (01:23:42):
Thanks guys, Thank you.

Speaker 5 (01:23:44):
Like the Atlanta defense. I think they're in a good spot.
I'm definitely using Jared Goff against Dallas and then Jordan. Look,
Jordan Love and Baker Mayfield. That's closer than we think.
Here's the interesting question. If Spencer Rattler plays well, then
the Saints defense gets gets breather. If Rattlers there's a
lot of three nouns going on there. Well, now the
Saint's defense has to be on the field longer. If

(01:24:05):
that happens, the baker is going to take some shots.
I like Mike Evans, I like Chris Godwin. That said,
do I think that Arizona is going to strike? You know,
be h win another game on the road like payed
last week against Green Bay?

Speaker 10 (01:24:18):
Hard to imagine? How I like Jordan Love.

Speaker 3 (01:24:20):
I gotta tell you something. In my fantasy expertise, I
get I grab new defenses every single week. Am I
playing with fire Rodo?

Speaker 5 (01:24:28):
No, what you do is you stream defense is exactly
the way you're doing it until one. But somebody in
your league drops a good defense and then you pick
that defense up and you don't change him after that.

Speaker 3 (01:24:37):
Yeah, let's go next to uh John and conro on seven? Hoey,
Hi John John, you're on?

Speaker 4 (01:24:48):
Oh?

Speaker 10 (01:24:48):
Hey, I have a between James Cluk and tevis et In.

Speaker 5 (01:24:57):
I know they're both hurt, but yeah, so let's be
real careful about James Cook.

Speaker 10 (01:25:02):
I like James Cook.

Speaker 5 (01:25:03):
I think he's in a good spot and I think
he's definitely playable. But you're going to have to wait
till Sunday morning. When I say Sunday morning, I've means
Sunday morning because Jacksonville's playing in London. So please get
up at eight thirty clip if you may want to
get up at eight am and watch that. If ETN
is playing and we don't have any news on James Cook,
play ETN. I don't want you getting a zero unless

(01:25:24):
you can pick up Ray Davis and stash him on
your team.

Speaker 10 (01:25:27):
I do like Ray Davis a ton.

Speaker 3 (01:25:28):
All right, let's go to Tim in let me put
this on the screen, Tim and Katie for Doctor Rotell
on seven Ony High.

Speaker 2 (01:25:36):
Tim, Hey, I got Dalton Schultz or Dalton Kincaid at
tight end in my flex.

Speaker 14 (01:25:42):
I've got Cuba Hubbard, Najee Harris, or Tony Pollard.

Speaker 5 (01:25:47):
All right, So look, Cuba gets a lot of opportunities,
and that's what we want in.

Speaker 10 (01:25:52):
Our running backs.

Speaker 5 (01:25:52):
I mean, Dave Canal has just give him the football.
It gets it twenty times. Atlanta's defense is not very scary,
So I do like Tony Pollard, I do, but Taija
Spears is there. They should be able to throw the ball.

Speaker 10 (01:26:02):
This week. I think I'm gonna go with Chuba Overpollard.
That's a close one. Schultzen King Kaid.

Speaker 5 (01:26:08):
You know, Josh Allen just has not been throwing the
ball to King Kaid as much as I want him to,
and it's getting very frustrating there. But it's hard to
trust Schultz as well because you know he hasn't done much.
I'll go King Kaid, especially with Shakir being out.

Speaker 3 (01:26:24):
AJ Brown, Terry McLaurin, Ceedee Lamb or Brian Thomas Junior.
Start one of those four.

Speaker 10 (01:26:31):
Oh man, I like them all. I would go Brown
or Lamb. I think Lamb is the best. Is a
great play this week.

Speaker 3 (01:26:36):
All right, ladies and gentmen, we asked Doctor Roto once
a week to give us a knockdown, drag out, one
hundred percent guarantee winner for our fantasy football leagues. We
present to you Doctor Rodos Lock of the Week.

Speaker 5 (01:26:49):
I think the lock is Ceedee Lamb. I'm going in
that Dallas Detroit game. It could easily be on a
Rossaint Brown. I love him, but Ceedee Lamb Dallas features him.
Jalen Tolbert's going to struggle a little bit this week.
I like Ferguson, but Lamb is the guy. When when
Doc is throwing a Lamb day, Dallas has a chance.
When they don't, they lose the game. But I think

(01:27:09):
Dallas going to keep this close. I think this is
the game of the week. Lock CD Lamb in your.

Speaker 3 (01:27:13):
Line up, C Lamb the lock of the week. All right.
I'm praying for warm weather, no more rain for you
in your area so you can entertain people all throughout
the weekend, Doctor Rhoto, Where can they find you?

Speaker 5 (01:27:29):
I'm hoping for that too, mt You can find me
on Twitter at d R r O t O. You
can find me at my website doctor roto dot com,
and of course at Serious XM Fantasy Sports Radio, Saturday
mornings eight to ten am Eastern.

Speaker 3 (01:27:41):
All right, Doctor ro great, hearing your voice. We'll talk
to you again next week. Thank you, friend. As allways,
all right, that's Doctor Rodal with us here on Sports
Talk seven. Andy. The final hour of the show is
going to be a busy one. We'll run through some
of the top headlines the day coming up. In a
matter of moments than at two twenty, we have non
Florida stories, Ross swear is your non Florida story, Frost,
I told you New Zealand. You really final one. I'm
gonna try. Yeah. You put yourself a lot of pressure there.

(01:28:05):
We'll see what we can do, all right. Uh. And
then we've got Bob Soshi, the Voice of the Patriots, joining
us at two thirty. It's one fifty seven. We start
the final hour the Matt Thomas Show with Ross. Next
here on Sports Talk seven ninety.

Speaker 1 (01:28:17):
Yeah, is the Matt Thomas Show with Ross.

Speaker 3 (01:28:28):
Here we go at two oh three on Sports Talk
seven ninety Non Florida stories coming up at about fifteen minutes.
Now it's you, Me and Ross at seven one three
two one two five seven ninety seven to one three
two one two five seven nine zero Texans. Now, if
you're listening Toronto, he likes drink may. I don't think Drake.
Remember you remember two years ago, Rossie, it was a

(01:28:50):
two man battle. Was Drake man? Who else for the
number one pick in the draft? Caleb Williams. It hadn't
have been the Kleboys because he hadn't won the Heisman
before that.

Speaker 14 (01:28:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 15 (01:28:58):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (01:28:58):
And it was those two guys could be drafted one two,
no doubt about it, no fans or butts. And it
didn't turn out that way, as Jane Daniels kind of
jumped the top of the list on there and was
picked by the commanders at number two or whatever it was.
But yes, number two, Drake Drake May went third. He
I mean, it wasn't like he was chopped. Liver still

(01:29:20):
got a good contract, still doing okay, Yeah, still enjoying life. Uh,
no offensive line, no key receivers to throw to battle line,
bat match up for him. He's got a running back
who's at the fumble. Ottest kids gotta play. I'm okay
with that. Throw him into the fire. Let's go. Will
Anderson's got to get a sack, right, it would be nice.
Let's get close. Sometimes I feel like Daniel Hunter has

(01:29:44):
been better. Has Anderson in your mind regress. I don't
think he's No, I wouldn't say that. I still think
he's speared. I would say so. I don't think he's
reached his top of the world type player, most fear
defensive potential. He's not at his apex. Okay, look at

(01:30:08):
the old let's pull up the old pass rush win rates.
This is Pro Football Focus, this is ESPN. They makeup
stats though they haven't do that. Yeah, their quarterback rating
has been completely made up. Him thirteenth in the NFL.
How many eligible players are there pass rushers, I don't know,

(01:30:30):
sixty seventy, so you'd say each team had two would
be sixty four. It's uper Well, yeah, that's fine. Daniel
Hunter is better. He's a tenth right now, right versus
Aiden Hutchinson, who's been the defensive MVP through the first
five games of the season. Aiden Hudchinson had a five
sack game. I'm talking about on the texts on the
Texans as. He's all shaw here. He seems to be

(01:30:53):
the right place, right time, almost every single time he
has been, and I mean Dimico Ryans talked about he
had a bad first drive. He missed a one tackle,
he got his arm on James Cook and he's kind
of a half misstackle, kind of not it was maybe
could have made the play, but then he missed one
badly and then he was just everywhere. He was everywhere
all at once. He was chasing down Josh and sick

(01:31:14):
as a dog before the shadow. Yeah, apparently he was
very sick.

Speaker 1 (01:31:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:31:17):
Uh, he was running sidelined a sideline, he was blowing
plays up. He was just he was doing great. He
was everywhere. It's awesome. Yeah. So I would say he's
probably been the most recognizable player. And at some point
this year Ross wibile to properly pronounce his name, because
I feel like I still hear it, two different versions
of it, al Shire and al Shayer. Yeah yeah, call
him a zase, Yeah, a train a did he a?

Speaker 14 (01:31:43):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:31:43):
You don't want to Diddy anything, man, that's true. You
can stay away from that if you get Diddy trouble.

Speaker 10 (01:31:48):
You know.

Speaker 3 (01:31:49):
Yeah, might as well suggest a Hitler at this point.
That's true. That's true. Yikes. Uh again, So how we
gonna kill our time on Sunday? We're gonna the Texans
are gonna wait, We're gonna waste the Patriots. We're gonna
be looking for something else to watch.

Speaker 14 (01:32:05):
Zone.

Speaker 3 (01:32:05):
Red Zone, Baby, Red Zone is good. There's a lot
of good matches. I Troy Dallas games should be fun
at three twenty. Yes, it should. A couple of good
matchups three o'clock, I think, Yeah, what are our TV games?

Speaker 14 (01:32:15):
You've got?

Speaker 3 (01:32:15):
You got the London game in the morning as well. Yeah,
but are you really thrilled about that? Does that really
get you going? I mean how often do you forget
about the game even being played? Like the first time
I catch a Sunday game is when I look on
the crawl in the morning and I see it's in
the second quarter already. Well, I think, oh no, no, that's
next week. Never mind, Liverpool Chelsea is next week at
eight thirty. Sorry, uh not this weekend? Jaguars Bears, Matt,

(01:32:39):
I mean I got up for for Vikings and Jets. Yeah.
The TV games we're getting this week are Tampa Bay,
New Orleans and Detroit Dallas by New Orleans.

Speaker 10 (01:32:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:32:50):
Spencer Radler, well, it's because we got a lot of
Saints fans here for some reason. Well, there was a
lot of evacuees from a Katrina. Yeah. Well, we've always
been a decent Saints market, I would say, so, it's
geographically close, yep. Would you rather see Brown's Eagles? The
three choices probably Commanders Ravens. The three choices we would

(01:33:12):
have had at noon on Fox would be Arizona Green Bay,
which you have a complete breakdown if you didn't hear
the podcast from yesterday. Yeah, I would rather watch that one.
That should be fun. Cleveland, Philadelphia and Tampa Bay, New Orleans.
With a three options, I'll go with Fox, I will
go with uh with Packers cards okay, and uh yeah,
because you would think worst case can be a high

(01:33:33):
scoring game. Forty seven and a half total. Yeah, not bad,
not bad at all. Seven one three two one two
five seven ninety seven one three two one two five
seven ninety So uh, let's go to the positives on this.
When Texas beats Oklahoma, you will have a couple of
You'll have some beverages consumed, You'll be doing a lot
of high fives, a lot of brosky hugs with strangers.

Speaker 1 (01:33:55):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:33:56):
Maybe, And if for any reason that oklahom the shocks
the world minus five receivers and minus really any signs
of a decent offense wins a low scoring seventeen to
fourteen game, because you're not because oh use defense knocks
out not one but two quarterbacks. Hey, come on, that's rude.
May I text you and say sorry for your loss?

Speaker 10 (01:34:16):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:34:16):
Have you texted me during a Texas game all year long?

Speaker 5 (01:34:19):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:34:19):
Because you haven't lost a game yet, so you would
only text me when they lost. Do you do not
hear yourself talking about how rude that is and bad
it is? You know what I'm gonna do? Then win
Texas beats Oklahoma. I will send you a congratulatory to you.
If I never hear from you all season long and
then you text me when they lose, no, that's unacceptable behavior.

(01:34:42):
You're just trying to twist the knife. And quite frankly,
you're a bad person. If I know you want to,
if I didn't just shame you would if I say
sorry for your loss? What is disingenuous about that? Out here?
I feel sorry for you. No, you don't. First of all,
I know you're a longhorn hater and you're a liar,
and you're a fraud, and you're a bad friend. If
you only hear from your friend when your team loses,

(01:35:05):
they're a bad friend. Well, you don't let me tell
you something. When a member of your family passes away
or someone is sick, you say sorry for your loss.
If that person feels that's if that appeels it. If
that person feels good today, you don't say I'm glad
your grandmother's feeling great. This is why we call you,
mister analogy. Your grandmother dying and then you and a

(01:35:30):
football team are two completely different things. If you so
you're not sorry for my loss, you're a liar. I
would be genuinely sorry you lost your grandmother. You're not
gonna be genuinely sorry. Lest Yes, I do. I know
it's let me do an aggy man. I know what
loss is all about. I've lived losses in my life. Yeah,

(01:35:51):
I know you do. My Cougar football team has given
me a lot of losses in my life. Yeah, I
know the pain of it. Matthew Thomas, I would know
what it's like. So if I send you that text,
you'll accept and say thank you. I appreciate your reaching out. Well,
don't be shocked ify a latch lash out at you
because you're not gonna be sorry. First of all, you
shouldn't worry about this year because you're not gonna lose

(01:36:12):
a game. Maybe against Georgia in a playoff game. Maybe maybe,
But I'm saying you may seem in the SEC championship game,
or for that matter, of the championship game. If we
don't talk during games, I don't want to hear. If
I don't want to hear from you. Okay, well, I've
already got the loaded text all gon news hit send
congratulations on your impressive win against Oklahoma. Okay, and what

(01:36:33):
are you gonna do? You're gonna respond? Thank you for
send nothing at all? I don't know. We'll see how
it goes. You gotta be genuine when I do it. Problem, No,
I know you won't. You better lock and loaded when
it Houston beats Kansas next Saturday week from tomorrow, I
fully expect to congratulations on sixty to six hundred Rockets fans.
And that's not my fault that Kansas can't draw flies

(01:36:54):
sebon one on that game?

Speaker 5 (01:36:55):
Is that?

Speaker 3 (01:36:55):
Are you there off this week? Selfishly? I'm going because
I've never been to Arrowhead Sitting before. Oh right, I
mean I'm gonna I'm gonna tarp over half the stadium.
What are they gonna do? Its being of tarp real quick.
I'm not an engineering guy, But do you think maybe
they should just leave top open? I don't know. It's

(01:37:17):
probably really hot.

Speaker 5 (01:37:18):
No, you can.

Speaker 3 (01:37:23):
Yeah, to quote my father, what are we gonna air
condition the whole neighborhood? There's no way you can get
that place cold without a roof on it, right. I
don't know. Again, I'm not familiar with the situation, but
I'm just I mean, I guess how much is the
tarp gonna cost? A couple of millie? Can you get
it fixed in five months?

Speaker 14 (01:37:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:37:43):
Are they even gonna bother? Is there anywhere else they
can play? It's a good question. It's a really really
good question. Seven one three two one two five seven
eighty seven one three two one two five Sonati. My
non Florida storta this week is from Salinas, California? Was
that next segment?

Speaker 10 (01:38:01):

Speaker 3 (01:38:01):

the course of the show today? I mean, my goodness,
you evenew it's a two twenty? Did you not? He's
got his He's got his non Florida story locked and

This is the Matt Thomas Show on Sports Talk seven ninety.

Speaker 15 (01:39:15):
We find interesting stories that cur outside the state of
Florida and share them with the people of Huston.

Speaker 16 (01:39:29):
It's time for non Florida.

Speaker 3 (01:39:37):
I'll time for non Florida.

Speaker 15 (01:39:46):
Store on coast to coast will bring strange and wild.
No alligator tales, but something that will make you smile.
It's time for last for farm in this cracy world,

(01:40:12):
there's no.

Speaker 3 (01:40:15):
I'm going to Salinas, California this week on this week's
edition of The Non Florida Stories, and ross I got
a question for You've been a real to an estate
sale where someone is trying to get rid of a
lot of things. Someone maybe has dye, where there's close furniture, appliances, televisions,
that kind of thing. Right, They didn't say out of
the ordinary, right? Okay, Well, there was a real estate

(01:40:38):
agent who was preparing in Salinas, California for an estate
sale when he went into the closet of the home
of the person's house and this person apparently has been deceased,
so they're just trying to get rid of this stuff. Okay,
what was in that closet a two and a half
foot high explosive anti tank rocket. Excuse me, under us

(01:41:03):
ross the Monterey County Sheriff commander said, we're talking about
a high energy device that is capable of blowing up
a tank. What our team was able to take a
look at the device using some sophisticated equipment and confirm
that it did seem to be volatile and a danger.
The unit said, a device like this heat rocket has

(01:41:25):
the potential to cause significant damage. They said, the potential
explosion radius is unpredictable, quoting Roses, Imagine that if this
device can up can blow up a tank, what can
it do to a house? What's gonna do to a neighborhood.
One neighbor living next door to the rockets that she
had no idea it was there the whole time. The

(01:41:46):
evacuation radius was set to five hundred feet to create
a buffer zone for safety if something went wrong during
the removal process. Peez he and officer showed me the
X ray of the missile, which is really wild. He said,
See how it's all dark. That means there's a lot
of stuff in it. Monterey County does not know if
the deceased homeowner realized that the item he had possessed

(01:42:08):
was still active. Explosives like these can be taken home
as souvenirs by service members, or they can be collected
from a yard sale not realizing the danger. Wow, I'm
glad nobody was hurt and that my friend Eric kept
a rocket like that hidden. No, I do not keep

(01:42:29):
explosives anywhere, so not even like fireworks. If you had
a rocket, you would let it out. No, I wouldn't
own a rocket. But yeah, so you're saying you would
never have a rocket, and I would never have a rocket. No,
I would never possess explosives, it would never launch. Correct. Okay,
so you would not be a what the kids would

(01:42:51):
call you a heat seeking missile? No, the kids wouldn't
call me anything about any anything rocket related. I only
liked to Houston rockets. Matt, same, I'm a rocket. I'm
a rocket man. Oh really, I'm burning up on fuels
up here alone. Yeah, high as a kite or what? Well,
you know, Mar's in a place to raise your kids. Okay,

(01:43:12):
in fact, it's cold as hell. She doesn't make any sense.
Hell is very hot. Let me tell you, Elton John
was high as a Kitelan wrote this song. There's no
chance I thought Bernie Toppen was writing his song. That's right,
Bernie was Bernie. Bernie was high as a kite, and
Elton was probably high the music. I'm sure he was
not very sober either. And that is my non Florida story.

(01:43:35):
Thank you, Matt, You're welcome. I guess I'll go next. Sure,
why not let me take you to a place called Portland,
Ore again. On Tuesday, they were. There was a man
and a woman driving alongside the south side of Portland, Oregon,
and they were pulled over by police. Police pulled them

(01:43:57):
over and they found out that the car that they
were driving was stolen. Mia Buginstos and originald Reynolds were
arrested after having possession of a stolen vehicle. And as
the police searched the car, they found a firearm, they

(01:44:18):
found some cash, they found some scales, and they found
a bag. On the front of the bag it said
definitely not a bag full of drugs. What was inside
that bag You can probably guess, Sandy corn. It was
cracked cocaine and methanphetamines and powdered cocaine inside of the bag.

(01:44:44):
That said, definitely not a bag full of drugs. So
what that person was trying to do was he's trying
to create a false narrative out there, like don't they
looking at these things? But that's exactly what I would do.
Of course, they were also charged with drug charges and
of course the possession of the stolen vehicle. Like what

(01:45:06):
percentage of things in your life when you see the
word do not touch in front of him?

Speaker 7 (01:45:08):
Do you touch?

Speaker 10 (01:45:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:45:10):
Hm, things to ponder, I would say close to zero. Yeah,
I'm pretty much.

Speaker 7 (01:45:16):
I mean, you're practically asking for it. If you're telling
us not to do something. It's human nature.

Speaker 10 (01:45:21):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (01:45:21):
It had also had xanic pills and other narcotics inside,
so there you go, and no munchies. No, I had
a loaded revolver though. Hmmm, are they ever gonna get
out of prison after all that? That's a lot of charging.
That's a lot.

Speaker 10 (01:45:40):
I mean, you can't.

Speaker 3 (01:45:41):
You can't bump two or three of those. You gotta
those are you're probably getting intent to distribute. You're in
a stolen car with a loaded weapon. What's city with
us again? Portland, Oregon? This is not Auckland, New Zealand. No,
as you promised, No, I thought it was Portland, New Zealand.

Speaker 1 (01:45:55):
First year I.

Speaker 3 (01:45:56):
First read the story, I thought it was from New Zealand,
because yeah I was, I was Portland, New Zealand. But no,
do people in New Zealand call you mate too? Because
I know that you know Jacques Landela, So I don't
know if Steven Adams did Steven Adams calls mates, you know,
he called you d bag?

Speaker 10 (01:46:08):
He did not?

Speaker 3 (01:46:09):
Yeah, he called me bro of course, he got seventeen
siblings son called body bro. At this point, everybody says
bro or sis, that's true, and that is you're non
Florida story for Portland, Oregon. Portland, by the way, one
of the most beautiful cities in the world, but very troubled.
And now, Tray, is this your first ever non Florida story?

Speaker 7 (01:46:31):
Maybe second?

Speaker 3 (01:46:32):
All right, we're gonna judge this on you go ahead.

Speaker 6 (01:46:35):
Okay, Well, my story comes out of New York and
similar to Rosses, it is a bit of a joy
ride story, except this one has a little bit more
weight behind this vehicle, if you call it.

Speaker 5 (01:46:46):
So.

Speaker 6 (01:46:47):
Police have arrested a teenage girl who they say took
an empty New York City subway train on a brief
joy ride before crashing and fleeing the scene.

Speaker 3 (01:47:00):
So how do you take a subway car and a
joy ride? You can? I think it'd be fairly easy.
Just jump in there, turn it on and go have
it empty. But I mean, that's that's ballsy, seriously.

Speaker 6 (01:47:11):
So they have pictures both of her and her assumed
male accomplice. She is an all pink including a pink bonnet,
and he in a blue tank top. So not exactly
the most inconspicuous. They say the two crashed into another

(01:47:31):
train before they took off. They later found the seventeen
year old girl and arrested her with charges of criminal
mischief and reckless endangerment.

Speaker 7 (01:47:42):
Fortunately nobody was injured.

Speaker 6 (01:47:45):
And what's the what is the punishment for stealing a
subway train? At least criminal mischief and reckless endangerment?

Speaker 3 (01:47:52):
Are they operated by keys or you have like computer program?

Speaker 6 (01:47:55):
I would think that there would be a key password
all this conductors, right.

Speaker 3 (01:48:00):
A three letter code or something. Huh man, that's gonna be.
You have to have Ross. You gotta get huge boys.
You have to have huge stones to steal a subway seriously,
or you just got to be an idiot.

Speaker 7 (01:48:11):
Well, they're not mutually exclusive.

Speaker 3 (01:48:12):
That's true. All right, guys, there was nothing completely awkward
about any of our three stories this week. You can
do better next week. Yeah, yeah. You always try to
go with blood and guts and weird stories.

Speaker 10 (01:48:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:48:23):
I do.

Speaker 3 (01:48:23):
I feel like I've let the audience do which. No,
it's fine. I think we're all better off now. Bob Soci,

This is the Matt Thomas Show, Matt Thomas on Sports
Talk seven ninety.

Speaker 3 (01:49:28):
Welcome back to the Matt Thomas Show with Ross. You're
on Sports Talk seven ninety Ross Viria with you. Matt
Thomas having to head out early as he is off
on a recruiting trip with his daughter as they're going
to look at a school for volleyball. So good luck
to them. And good luck to the young Carly Thomas.
But right now please to be joined by a multi

(01:49:49):
time guest here on the Matt Thomas Show with Ross
Bob Socie, the voice of the New England Patriots. Bob,
thank you for the time appreciated. How were things over there?

Speaker 10 (01:49:59):
Well?

Speaker 14 (01:49:59):
Thanks very good. Matt and his daughter, who I know
are visiting our neck of the woods, have a beautiful
day to walk to campus at a nearby institution today,
so hopefully that visit goes well for them, and it's
good to visit with you again. Ross.

Speaker 3 (01:50:11):
Well, it's like ninety two degrees over here, so we're
not doing so hot. And well, we're actually doing very
hot here in Houston. But let's talk about this matchup
coming up with the Patriots and the Texans, just in
a general sense, your impressions. How do things feel over
there in Foxborough? You had Bill Belichick there for so long.
The dynastic run obviously probably didn't end the way that

(01:50:32):
here Bob Kraft wanted it. But how are things over
there now? And does it feel a lot different with
Giron Mayo at the Helm.

Speaker 14 (01:50:41):
Well, it feels different, it looks different, it sounds different,
that's for sure, and unfortunately for the Patriots, they really
had two different seasons in one this year to get
the Jerrod Mao era started, because they played very well
all things considered, with their limitations offensively again Cincinnati and
pulled out that Week one win and then had a
chance to get that we two win against Seattle and

(01:51:02):
really let that game slip away from them. And now
here they are in the midst of a four game
losing streak and we're not only talking about Gerrod Mayo's
first season, but a new era with quarterback Drake may
about to make his first start. But yeah, strange days
indeed for the Patriots.

Speaker 10 (01:51:16):
And really, you go back.

Speaker 14 (01:51:17):
Over the last four years Ross's post Tom Brady, Bill
Belichick and the Pats had a free agent spending splurge.
In twenty twenty one. They drafted a rookie quarterback, Matt Jones.
First round pick was the strawter he got to the playoffs.
It looked like, okay, they're headed in the positive direction,
but then a lot of backsliding the last couple of years,

(01:51:39):
significant changes on the coaching staff. In twenty twenty two
in Jones regression accompanied by a four and thirteen season
last year and ultimately the parting of ways between Belichick
and under Robert Kraft and Torod Mayle was on that
staff as the defensive coach. And really, I think someone
identified a long time ago, even as a captain for
the Patriots, calling their defense with some similarities. Certainly not

(01:52:02):
the identical path as Demico Ryans has had, but some
similarities to Demiico Ryans nonetheless identified as a guy really
had leadership qualities, someone who could connect with people in
the front office, in the locker room, his teammates. Certainly
was a conduit between the players and his head coach.
Bill Belichick went into business, got into coaching, and you

(01:52:23):
know it, certainly was a parent from almost day one
as an assistant coach with the Patriots that Girodmeo had
a future as a head coach. But it came sooner
than some would expect. It came under certainly far from
ideal circumstances. Frankly, the cupboard has been bare for the
most part. They've had some poor drafts in recent years.

(01:52:44):
They did have a number of players that they signed
in twenty twenty one that worked out. Matthew Judah under
Henry to name a couple, but Judah has now gone.
Henry's the one guy who's been held over from that period,
so it's really been a true reas Bill this year
a reset and Mail has a lot of the same
I think philosophies as Bill Belichick, but just with a

(01:53:06):
softer style. He certainly has been a lot more open
with the media, and I think that some identify him
as a player's coach, but I would say this, I
think he's trying to be you know, I think he's
trying to find his voice, trying to find his way
as a head coach, but under very, very difficult circumstances.

Speaker 3 (01:53:23):
Yeah, as you mentioned, starting off with a win against
the Bengals in four straight losses, and we'll get to
the Drake May stuff in a second here, but just
just on the field, do you think is there a
feeling they are still falling short of preseason expectations or
is this where they expected to be?

Speaker 14 (01:53:41):
Well, you know, it's funny because I think this is
where most people expected them to be outside of New England.
You know, the odds on favorite for the number one
pick in twenty twenty five, I believe, according to the
odds makers in Vegas were the New England Patriots. But
with that win over Cincinnati and then again playing the
way they for the most part against Seattle in the

(01:54:01):
Week two, it really adjusted expectations on the fly. They
had a good defense to begin the season. There's no
doubt about that. They've had a good defense in recent years,
and that was clearly the strength of this team, you know,
really through the first two weeks of the year. First,
I would say the first game in three quarters didn't
play well down the stretch against Seattle. But since Week

(01:54:22):
three especially, we're the twenty four three loss to the Jets,
which was not even that close, and then the subsequent
losses at San Francisco, a game that again wasn't as
close as the final score would have appeared in it
was lopsided as it was, and then more recently, you know,
really what was a slog against Miami. The defense has
incurred some injuries, the offense hasn't been able to move

(01:54:45):
the ball, let alone score points, and so I think
that the expectations going into the season where that yet
you know, one and four is the is the real
possibility for this team. But the way they have gotten
to this point, if they expectations changed after a couple
of weeks, and now there's extreme disappointment in where they
aren't along with that concern about I think going to

(01:55:09):
May at this point for some because it was sooner
than know their staged expectation. But then on the flip
side of that, I think there is at least this
week a little more intrigue, a little more excitement about
this team, potentially offensively, just because people want to know
what the rookie has in store for him.

Speaker 3 (01:55:25):
Yeah, and that rookie, of course being Drake May. Talking
with Bob Socie, radio voice of the Patriots here, how
do you feel like the organization the way that they
you know, I'm sure preseason they plotted certain things out,
like we want to have Drake May sit for this
long and then we're going to go to him. Do
you think this is kind of a head of schedule
of what they wanted and do you feel this is

(01:55:45):
the right time to put Drake May in?

Speaker 14 (01:55:48):
Well? Personally, I think that, you know, next week against
the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, it might be a better
landing spot for him as opposed to standing in the
pocket or at least trying to stay in the pocket
with an offensive line that's been porous for the most part.
With Will Anderson in company coming after him, I think that,
you know, for them, they certainly developed him with the

(01:56:10):
idea in mind from the outset that it would take
some time. He came into the NFL third player taken
overall of all the first round quarterbacks, probably the farthest
away from being NFL ready considering the kind of offense
he played in at North Carolina, just to take snaps
under center, to make play calls in the huddle. The
footwork was certainly a well publicized issue that needed to

(01:56:33):
be addressed, the delivery, knowledge of the offense going from
college to the NFL, all those things. And Jacoby Brissett
had been with Alex hen Pelt, the offensive coordinator for
the Patriots in Cleveland. He had been with New England
as a rookie, and he was seen as really the
ideal guy for the spot, be the mentor to may
be someone who will take the punishment early on the

(01:56:54):
physical punishment, but manage the games well enough to keep
this team in games, win some games, and allow them
to continue to develop. Trape may on the appointed path.
And they have said that the plan wasn't accelerated. But
I have to think that have the offense not been
playing as poorly as it has these last few weeks,

(01:57:17):
and particularly I think the last couple of weeks there
was more scrutiny on Brussette, who really has been under
incredible pressure to this point. It really forced their hand,
And I don't think that there is a right time.
Could this be the wrong time. The quality of the
opposition certainly could make it so. But may has improved
by all accounts, by reports, in practice at a steady pace.

(01:57:40):
He's improved. I think you are most notably of late
in terms of recognizing blitzes, and you know the way
he's handled those situations. They've given him more snaps than
most backups get thirty percent of the snaps to this
point with the number one unit. So I think that
you know, they they may have been forced their hands,
have been forced to talk in terms of the coaching

(01:58:02):
staff and management for the Patriots, But I don't think
that you know in their mind, you know, they really
in this case, you know, could stick with Brissette given
the current circumstances.

Speaker 3 (01:58:16):
All right, And just on the Houston side here in Houston.
The team is four and one, but you do have
some detractors saying, yeah, it's four wins, but all of
them by one score. The one loss obviously getting destroyed
by the Minnesota Vikings. How do you view this season
so far for the Texans, especially the job done by C. J.
Strouded to meet go Ryans.

Speaker 14 (01:58:35):
Well, I look at the Texans right now, and I
think about, you know, their win loss record, and you know,
I hear what you say, and I wonder what make
Casario is thinking, must be bringing back to his Patriots
days when four and one wasn't good enough. Buck here
considering the sex is the success that the Patriots were
accustomed to for so long. But I think, for example,

(01:58:56):
I mean, they're coming off a game in which they
didn't have Joe Mixon and they didn't have you know,
Damian Pearson, some other guys the offensive line. They had
to move in a rookie to play at a tackle spot,
and they did what they did against the Bills. And
I know the Bills came back in that game, but
that game was really in control of the Texans for
a long while. And the numbers that their defense held

(01:59:17):
Josh Allen to I mean, it's really you know, maybe
in his rookie year, of his second year, we saw
a lot of him. Of course, during the course of
his early days as a bill nine for thirty was conceivable,
but not at this point. So I look at the
Texans and think, you know, this is a team that's
already faced some injury issues this season. This is a

(01:59:37):
team that has been behind in some games and come
back to win. Stroud didn't play apparently, didn't play very well,
you know, in one game, but then when the game
is on the line, he's got to drive down field.
He's perfect on the game winning drive. And you know
that to me speaks of the team that not only
is talented and the Texans certainly are, but a team

(01:59:58):
that under Demiko Ryan's is just making the plays it
needs to make to win games. And you know, I've
been part of the Patriots broadcast for twelve years and
these times are very different. But my first six seasons
calling games, had a chance to call an AFC championship game,
and the nitpickers and the critics out out there in

(02:00:21):
sports talk radio and you know in general fandom, they
would pick apart close wins. But you realize after you
go through a stretch like the Pats have gone through
in recent years that you know, any win in the
National Football League should be cherished, cover coveted. Yes, there
are things that they will need to improve if they
want to go where I think a lot of people

(02:00:43):
expect or at least think they can go this year.
But they're all on their way. It's a very very
talented team.

Speaker 3 (02:00:49):
All right. So Bob Socci Radio voice of the New
England Patriots here, biggest key for the Patriots to pull
out of victory and how you see this one playing out?

Speaker 14 (02:00:58):
Well, I think one of the problems PRIs really facing
try and execute one of those keys as with potential absence.
And I haven't seen the practice report yet. It may
have come out since we've been on the line, but
Ramdern Stevenson has a practice in the last two years.
And for them really to have any any feasible chance
of winning this game, they have to get the running
game going and they did against Miami. They didn't stick

(02:01:21):
with it though, they averaged over eight yards per carry,
but had huge disparity in pass versus run plays. Stevenson
is their best player on offense now Drake maybe come
in there on Sunday and really light it up as
a rookie, That's not my expectation. I think they're going
to have to really manage him very well in this game,
and they're going to need a running game, and unlike

(02:01:43):
the Texans, you know, where they you know, had to
have that screen game that they can use and involve
a guy like a goombu walle in the passing attack
really to substitute for their running attack, at least as
I understand it. You know, the Patriots really haven't been
able to get that part of the game going. So
if Stevenson doesn't play, and it would be surprising at
this point concerning you didn't practice in the last two days,

(02:02:06):
and Antonio Gibson is the one guy in that batfield
that you know they're gonna have to count on for
a lot of rest. It's gonna be really hard to
get that running game going consistently against the defense. Well
maybe that's its own only vulnerability, but certainly the Patriots
have got to come up with their best effort by far,
you know, maybe get some help from the Texans. But
Straw doesn't turn it over. So we'll see, all.

Speaker 3 (02:02:28):
Right there, you go. Bob Sochy, New England Patriots Radio
play by play. Bob, thanks for the time as always,
and we'll talk to you down the road.

Speaker 10 (02:02:38):
I look forward to it.

Speaker 3 (02:02:39):
Thanks a lot, all right, appreciate it. There you go,
good stuff with Bob Sochi on this Texans versus Patriots matchup.
Quick break here on the Matt Thomas Show with Ross,
but without Matt Thomas. We'll be back with the final
segment right after this.

Speaker 1 (02:02:53):
This is the Matt Thomas Show on Sports Talk seven ninety.

Speaker 3 (02:03:05):
Welcome back to the final segment of the Matt Thomas
Show with Ross without Matt Thomas. He ducked out early.
He's going on to a recruiting trip to the northeast
part of the country, so wishing him the best with that.
But just a couple of minutes left here on this

(02:03:25):
program with me Ros vi Real and then coming up
next it will be the A Team with Adam Wexler
and Adam Clanton. After that, I'll be with you again
for another night cap six to seven here on Sports
Talk seven to ninety. That will be with Dan Matthews.
So Bob Sochie of the New England Patriots Radio network
joining us talking about how this game could go and

(02:03:46):
will go. And well, we got some news, some recent news.
Jonathan m Alexander talking about the Texans team injury report.
I haven't seen it posted on their website or their
Twitter at least, but he has Joe Mixon listed as
question on the team's injury report, Carmari Lassiter out, Robert
Woods out, Jimmy Ward out as well. Derek Barnett also

(02:04:11):
listed as questionable. So there you go. Not good news
to hear the Kamari Lassiter is out. The good thing
is is well. I mean, you know, the New England
Patriots do have some decent pass catching weapons, as specifically
Jalen Polk. I don't think that you're going to be
extremely limited as long as you have Derek Stingley go
with the backups and you should be fine there. And

(02:04:33):
as Bob Soci was mentioning on the other side, I
think he got more injury issues going on with the
New England Patriots as far as what's going to happen
with the Roman J Stevenson, who has been their best
offensive player even though last week they start he wasn't
bingched necessarily was ramand J. Stevenson. It was more of
a rotation with Antonio Gibson and Antonio Gibson getting the
start on the first series. So at the end of

(02:04:55):
the day, no matter who's ready and who's gonna suit up,
I would guess that Joe Mixon, if it comes out,
I'm gonna guess it was a limited practice for him.
Again that maybe one week. It sounded like just from
him speaking to the media that he could be a
week away. And if you get Damian Pierce back, you're
still gonna be fine. You still should very easily handle
these New England Patriots, unless Drake May comes out there

(02:05:17):
and he just lights the world on fire. He's been
getting a little bit of taste, getting some snaps and
getting some work, but I still expect him to come
away in this game. Kind of kind of puzzling in
a way the way that I think this game could
and should play out, that the line continues to It
opened up at seven and a half, got down to seven,
holding steady at six and a half at least on

(02:05:38):
ESPN odds. You do have to lay a little bit
extra for the six and a half, and it's gonna
be a low total game. It's gonna be a low
scoring game. So anything can happen. It has been four
to one score game wins for the Texans, so could
it be a fifth? That's what Vegas says here this Sunday.
James and garden Oaks getting in real quick, just a

(02:05:59):
little bit of time left, James, be quick. What do
you got?

Speaker 21 (02:06:02):
Yes, thank you for taking my call. Folks, Listen, I
got a beef with with you, mister r V.

Speaker 3 (02:06:08):
All right, let's go.

Speaker 21 (02:06:09):
I've been here stuff that you You want anybody else
to win except that except the Yankees of the Dodgers.

Speaker 3 (02:06:16):
I didn't pick them.

Speaker 21 (02:06:17):
I picked New York versus New York and point blank,
and I'm gonna tell you I got not only a
beef for you for those shipleys uh uh donut holes
and everything and YouTube showstopper Dan listen. Win is always
win and hate is always hate. So you guys need
to shut yours always win that New York. That's correct,

(02:06:39):
they listen, they're ones.

Speaker 3 (02:06:40):
And so nine when the whole team was juiced up
on HG in steroids and but the biogenesis, Hey is
that trophy at the biogenesis lab in Florida?

Speaker 21 (02:06:50):
No, sir no, that's something, hey, Rod, The team, the
players that won that championship was Uhey, Matt Suey, Johnny
Damon and a.

Speaker 3 (02:06:59):
Lot of other Rodriguez was your best player in that
playoff running he was juiced out of his gord when
he wasn't kissing himself in the mirror.

Speaker 14 (02:07:07):
No, that's not true.

Speaker 21 (02:07:08):
I mean, I agree with you by a right. A
right isn't that so b But but you can't say
that the whole trophy and all night was due to
him winning.

Speaker 3 (02:07:17):
It was a team win. I mean he should be yeah.

Speaker 10 (02:07:20):
Period.

Speaker 5 (02:07:21):
No, come on, now.

Speaker 21 (02:07:23):
You you you ain't you ain't you ain't real you
you ain't really what you mean?

Speaker 10 (02:07:27):
You know?

Speaker 21 (02:07:28):
That's okay.

Speaker 3 (02:07:29):
We could disagree.

Speaker 21 (02:07:30):
We're gonna reach a disagree, But the bottom line is,
like I said, pick your team, who would you like
to win?

Speaker 10 (02:07:36):
Now?

Speaker 21 (02:07:37):
And and all the haters out there locally too that
love to talk about me and.

Speaker 3 (02:07:40):
New York I just know what I know. New York
is just.

Speaker 21 (02:07:45):
Like they are. They're winners, and winners do they spend
the most money.

Speaker 3 (02:07:50):
They just get the benefit of being in New York City.
That whether that's because a bunch of people live there
and then adults like you or fans and spend money
with the team, and so they have high value, and
so they overspend on every single player year after year
after year, and well since two thousand and nine, like
I said, with the with the trophy on display at
the Biogenesis Lab, they've been disappointing.

Speaker 21 (02:08:11):
Okay, but look, I was hoping that the Astros.

Speaker 3 (02:08:14):
Would would win that series. You guys wanted it the Tigers.

Speaker 14 (02:08:17):
No, I'm kidd the Yankees.

Speaker 21 (02:08:18):
Face Cleveland or the Tigers. Bring on, all right, we're
gonna step on with them teams.

Speaker 3 (02:08:23):
Thank you, Thank you for taking my call. Thank you
James for getting in. Always a fun time with Jeams
and garden oes. Talking about the Yankees, Yeah, I'm rooting
against the Yankees. They they paid Garrett Cole like three
hundred million dollars, They got one Soto, They pay Aaron
Judge making like half a billion. You got like six
guys on your team making half a billion dollars. You

(02:08:45):
should be pretty good. You shouldn't be disappointing every single year.
And then same thing for the Dodgers with their deferred money.
To show he O Tani seventy million a year and
they're deferring sixty eight million of it.

Speaker 5 (02:08:56):
Oh Court.

Speaker 3 (02:08:57):
The Ashos payrolls haven't been too shabby the last several
years either. But yeah, I'm gonna root against the Yankees,
and yes I'm gonna root about against the Dodgers, and no,
I will not apologize for it, James, and we'll see
what happens. Go Tigers Go. I guess Guardians have the
best chance because the Tigers are gonna be like in
a bullpen game for half of a seven game series.

(02:09:18):
Feels like the Yankees are just gonna waltz into the
World Series. Unfortunately, go Padres. That's what we'll say. All right,
that's gonna do it for the Matt Thomas Show with Ross,
but for the last couple of segments without Matt Thomas.
Thanks to Matt Thomas of course doing a great job
as he always does hosting this program. Thanks to Trey
Walker producing all week stepping up in a pinch with

(02:09:38):
Connor McGovern out sick. Thanks to all of you for
listening to the program. I do appreciate it, and all
of you that called in, including James and Garden Oaks.
That's gonna do it for me. I'll be back with
you at six pm. But right now, do not go anywhere,
because it's not only one Adam, it's two Adams. It's
Adam and Adam. They call themselves the eight Team. They're
coming up next on Sports Talk seven to ninety Keep

(02:09:59):
