Claudia Cagan is a five-time EMMY-winning television producer, having started her career on the performing side of the business as production singer and personal assistant. She traveled all over the world with her sister, GRAMMY-winning singer/songwriter, Melissa Manchester, until she made the transition into TV production.
Early on in her TV career, she was a talent executive on THE ARSENIO HALL SHOW, where, besides booking TV and THEATER stars, she also booked the classic and up-coming comedians of the 90s, including MARGARET CHO, CHRIS ROCK, CHRIS TUCKER, MARTIN LAWRENCE, ELLEN DEGENERES, ROSIE O’DONNELL, HOWIE MANDEL, JERRY SEINFELD, GEORGE WALLACE, LEA DELARIA (the first openly gay female comedian to appear on a late-night talk show,) and many, many more. It was an amazing time! One of her career highlights on that show was booking then-Governor Bill Clinton, who played some Elvis classics with “The Posse” on his sax and talked with Arsenio about his aspirations to be President of the United States!
Claudia went on to work as a producer on EXTRA, ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT, POLITICALLY INCORRECT, HOLLYWOOD SQUARES, and numerous specials, before her 8 year run at E! News as Senior Segment Producer.
She left E! News in 2013 when Arsenio asked her to join him for his return to late-night. She booked more stars, including upcoming and veteran comics TIFFANY HADDISH (her late-night debut), LIL REL HOWREY, ANDREW DICE CLAY, BILL BELLAMY, ERIC ANDRE, GEORGE LOPEZ, HELEN HONG, JIMMY O. YANG, KATHY GRIFFIN, THEO VON, LONI LOVE, JACKIE FABULOUS, and more.
She returned to ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT as Supervising Producer/SPECIAL PROJECTS & GOOD WORKS in 2016 and is proud to have won EMMY AWARDS for OUTSTANDING ENTERTAINMENT NEWS PROGRAM in 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022.
Claudia is a proud alumnus of the High School of Performing Arts (“The FAME school”) in New York City.
Her late husband, Steven Cagan, was an accomplished composer/conductor/musical director over his long career in the music business, and she has twin daughters, also in the entertainment business: Emily, a talent booker for various TV shows and podcasts, while still working in record label marketing, and Amanda Cagan, who runs her own successful independent publicity company, ABC PR
