contacted local authorities saying he had recentlylearned that a senior at the high school
was obsessed with the Columbine massacre andhad guns in his home. An unidentified

classmate of eighteen year old Sebastian Bailey, via Signor of Eastville, California,
had brought his concerns to the school'sadministration and has since been hailed a hero
for thwarting a potential tragedy. OntarioPolice Chief Michael Lauren said that quote to

quote, the victims are all miners. They would be put in great
danger. The danger would exist outsideof school to several groups. The teen
is alleged to have quote used internetplatforms to conduct his research, with a

radicalized by anyone. Selfies of thehigh school senior dressed in all black and

The crimes alleged in the complaint involvedgreat sophistication and planning of a mass

Center in Rancho Cucamonga, California.The murder of Preston Lord and the Gilbert

Goons. Now, let's talk aboutthe hot topic around my community, the
homicide of sixteen year old Preston Lord. Members of the community and the Arizona
Republic newspaper have been vocal with theirthoughts that Preston's beating death was perpetrated by
the Gilbert Goons, based in Gilbert, Arizona, a conservative suburb just outside
(16:36):
the capital city of Phoenix. TheGilbert Goons are basically a group of affiliated
quote mostly rich, entitled white kidswho want to be gangsters. These are
teens and young adults who many believehave been wreaking havoc, beating, threatening,
and intimidating victims around the area forthe past two years. The Valley
(16:56):
of the Sun, as the PhoenixMetropolitan Area is loquially dubbed, comprises the
capital city at its epicenter, andtwenty four suburban municipalities of varying size for
forty miles in each and every direction. The major players here are the town
of Gilbert, located thirty five minutessouth and east of Phoenix, and Queen

Creek, which is another fifteen milesto the southeast of Gilbert. Chandler Arizona
is mentioned briefly as well, whichcan be found about halfway between Gilbert and
Queen Creek, but is to thewest. Queen Creek. Arizona is where
Preston Lord was beaten and left lyingin the street near one hundred and ninety
fourth Street and via Del Rancho Roadat an October twenty eighth, two thousand

and twenty three Halloween party. Itwas a brief attack carried out by multiple
individuals whose blows and head stumps ultimatelyproved fatal, with Preston dying from his
injuries two days later. That caseremains open, and in February two thousand
and twenty four, the Maricopa CountyMedical Exam ruled his death a homicide.

Police have been methodical and meticulous withthe investigation, but many in the community
have placed blame at the feet ofwhat they feel is a gang, the
Gilbert Goons. Calling the Goons agang is controversial around here because a criminal
street gang brings to mind drive byshootings and bandanas of certain colors, aspects

that don't particularly vibe with the spateof peer on peer teenage violence that's been
plaguing the bedroom community of Gilbert andthose around it. After all, Gilbert
is nicknamed the second safest city inAmerica, and Perry High School is at
the epicenter of this story, withmany of the accused having attended there,
the very same high school as currentSqueaky Clean NFL superstar quarterback Brock Purdy,

who just played in the Super Bowl. Reports indicate that the name originated from
members, with a twenty year oldsuspect telling the sheriffs in an early January
twenty twenty four interrogation that they calledthemselves that in their Snapchat group. Gilbert
police remained steadfast that they aren't awareof such a gang and continue to refrain
from using the term, although themedia, local activists and parents continue to

invoke it. They allege that recentattacks on teens dating back to twenty twenty
two can be attributed to the group, with a few of the film beatings
taking place at an in and outBurger fourteen. Video clips of alleged Goon
assaults have been submitted as evidence incivil litigation, videos which are helping identify

the faces seen and clip after clipas repeat participants. The chief of Gilbert
Police Department set in a December fourteenth, twenty and twenty three statement that quote,
recent alleged incidents of teen violence inGilbert have heightened community awareness, and
we want to make it known thatwe condemn any violence within our community.

What we know at this time isthat gilber Lbert PD does not have police
reports from victims or suspects associating orconnecting the name group to any alleged reported
criminal activity in our community. Aswe have shared many times in the handful
of cases that were reported to ourdepartment over the past year, none of

our interviews with victims or reports everused the term Gilbert goons or provided information
that the attacks were perpetrated by anymembers identifying themselves as a Gilbert goon.
While we weren't initially aware of theterm, we were actively addressing the violent
crime incidents involving teens during that time. From a legal standpoint, two of
(20:40):
seven criteria must be met for anorganization to be considered a criminal street gang,
which in Arizona is defined as quote, an ongoing formal or informal association
of persons in which members or associatesindividually or collectively engage in the commission,
attempted commission, facilitates or solicitation ofany felony act, and that has at
(21:03):
least one individual who is a criminalstreet gang member. In addition, a
street gang member can be identified whentwo of the following criteria are met self
proclamation, witness testimony or official statementwritten or electronic correspondents, paraphernalia or photographs,
tattoos, clothing or colors, orany other indissia of street gang membership.

When it comes to the so calledGilbert Goons, the attacks that some
attribute to alleged members became more andmore violent and escalated to homicide. One
victim said he saw brass knuckles duringhis attack. His revelation has already led
to propose legislation, as Bill eleveneighty three, which proposed to include them

as prohibited, was unanimously advanced inearly February two thousand twenty four, before
most of the aforementioned arrests had evenbeen made. Passage of the bill will
make the manufacturing, possessing, transporting, selling, or transferring of brass knuckles
a class one misdemeanor, as Arizonaremains one of twelve states with no laws

against brass knuckles. That's the urgencybuilding around these incidents, and the implications
of alleged goon involvement is beginning toaffect the parents of those accused. More
and more parents are being held accountablefor the actions of their kids, be
it school shooters or alleged goons,and the principle of a Chandler elementary school

has found the actions of her stepsonvastly affecting her life and career. The
sixteen year old was filmed running towardthe fight during one of the assaults at
the In and Out, but theclip ends before you can see if he
joins the melee, and according tothe police report, witnesses implicated him in
the planning of the attack, thoughhe denies any involvement to police and even

provided them with the video he sayshe got from social media. Initially arrested,
he's not been in and the MaricopaCounty Attorney recently declined to prosecute him
due to a lack of evidence ofhis participation in the actual attack. His
stepmother was interviewed by police in latetwenty twenty three, with their report stating
(23:14):
that quote, Jamie then told meshe did not want her step son in
harm's way by sharing names. Jamiesaid that this was a real concern with
what was going on right now.The report went on to read that quote.
Jamie then told me she was alwayslevel headed, and it seemed like
I wanted to make her stepson escapegoatbecause he talked to the police already and
cooperated right away by providing them withvideo the night this happened. Jamie then
(23:40):
brought up how the media was involvedand attributed this to being the only reason
her step son was being charged withanything. The sixteen year old had faced
charges of aggravated robbery because the victim'sshoes were taken, and though he was
released without being charged, his stepmotherstill had to go on leave from her
job as the Prince full of RiggsElementary School in Chandler, Arizona. She

and others have been named in asix million dollar lawsuit that includes her school
district, the Gilbert Police, andfifteen alleged goons as well as their thirty
parents, filed by the father ofthe boy beaten at the in and out.
He has been interviewed and has statedthat due to all of the publicity,
his son has moved out of thecountry to live with his mother.
Police are now trying to crack downon doxing incidents being made by vigilantes in

the community who have repeatedly leaked theidentities and addresses of individuals they believe are
part of the group. Two arrestshave been made, and the Gilbert Chief
of Police said that quote, wewant justice for each and every victim in
Gilbert. Collaboration between four local policedepartments and two sheriff's departments have led to
the arrests of forty two individuals relatedto Group teen violence incidents this year.

They say with the latest being theFebruary twentieth, two thousand and twenty four
of a seventeen year old on onecount of aggravated robbery, one count of
assault, and one count of disorderlyconduct, the first girl to be arrested.
But none of these arrests are relatedto the Halloween two thousand and twenty
three beating death of Preston Lord,so we'll keep watching to see who authorities

ultimately charge for his homicide. Thereis no statute of limitations on murder in
the Grand Canyon State, and withthe amount of witnesses and videos and photos,
authorities have a good start. TheDistrict Attorney's office continues to review the
one thousand, eight hundred page policereport, six hundred videos, and two

thousand pieces of other evidence related tothe homicide investigation and will determine if the
seven suspects, five juveniles and twoadults submitted to them for review will be
charged. Queen Creek's chief of policesaid in late two thousand and twenty three
that quote, I want to thankthose parents and children that have come forward

to provide information or details related tothis case. However, some parents have
actively refused to let their children participatein the investigation. We need people to
come forward and stand up for Preston. On February seventh, twenty twenty four,
Preston Lord's mother and father released astatement that read quote, after an
(26:22):
initial meeting, the Maricopa County Attorneycontinues to provide us with updates on her
office's review of the case involving thedeath of our son, Preston Lord.
The loss of our son is impossibleto bear, and we understand that there's
work to be done to achieve justicefor Preston. We are exercising patients to
ensure the best possible outcome and askmembers of the community and the media to

do the same. We are gratefulfor the outpouring of support and appreciate the
upstanding individuals who have provided information tolaw enforcement. Before I was even able
to post this episode, there wereupdates in the Preston Lord case. On
March sixth, two thousand and twentyfour, authorities announced the indictments and arrests
(27:10):
of several individuals for the homicide,and by the following day, a total
of seven had been arrested in connectionwith the teen's beating death. Four adults,
eighteen year old William Hines, twentyyear old Dominic Turner, nineteen year
old Taylor Sherman, and eighteen yearold Trsten Billy, and three juveniles,
Talan Renner, Jacob Meisner, andTalann Vigil, all seventeen years old,
(27:33):
were in custody by March seventh.The three of them are charged as adults,
as Arizona law requires that miners who'vebeen convicted of felonies and miners with
a violent felony charge be prosecuted inadult court. Talan Renner's eighteen year old
brother, Kyler, was not arrestedfor Preston Lord's murder. However, he
was arrested in January two thousand andtwenty four for participating in two separate filmed
(27:59):
goons a day tax that occurred inlate twenty twenty two. All of them
have at least a juvenile criminal record, and Hines and Meisner were already in
custody for multiple alleged goons related assaults, officially making that connection that the community
and the Arizona Republic have previously alleged. They're all charged with first degree murder,

second degree murder, and kidnapping,while Turner, Billy, and Meisner
were also charged with aggravated robbery.The first degree murder charges stem from the
fact that the homicide occurred during thecommission of an underlying felony. In this
case, it could be the theftof the ten dollars necklace, robbery,
or even the alleged kidnapping. Kidnappingis defined in Arizona fairly specifically, and

the part that pertains to this casecould be quote knowingly restraining another person.
A second degree murder conviction could comealong with or instead of a first degree
conviction, and doesn't need to havebeen pre meditated or perpetrated in conjunction with
any other felony to convict. Inorder to secure a second degree murder conviction,
the prosecution must prove one of thesethings beyond reasonable doubt, that the

defendant purposely caused another person's death,that the defendant knew that their conduct would

is in shock after news that apotential school shooting in their city had

been stopped before it even began.The saga began on Thursday, February eighth,
two thousand and twenty four, whenthe principal of Ontario Christian High School
contacted local authorities saying he had recentlylearned that a senior at the high school
was obsessed with the Columbine massacre andhad guns in his home. An unidentified

classmate of eighteen year old Sebastian Bailey, via Signor of Eastville, California,
had brought his concerns to the school'sadministration and has since been hailed a hero
for thwarting a potential tragedy. OntarioPolice Chief Michael Lauren said that quote to

quote, the victims are all miners. They would be put in great
danger. The danger would exist outsideof school to several groups. The teen
is alleged to have quote used internetplatforms to conduct his research, with a

his thoughts, personal choices, andproclivities. There is no indication he was
radicalized by anyone. Selfies of thehigh school senior dressed in all black and
holding weapons have also been released bypolice. Via Signior was arrested on February

one handgun, two revolvers, sevenrifles, and over one thousand rounds
of ammunition from his family home,but all of the firearms were legally owned

charged with five counts of attempted murderand one count of attempting to make criminal
threats. He's being held without bailand a plea of not guilty was entered
for him by his public defender.At his arraignment the following day, February

that, quote the defendant in thiscase poses a great danger to the community.
The crimes alleged in the complaint involvedgreat sophistication and planning of a mass
shooting at a school. He iscurrently being held at the West Valley Detention
Center in Rancho Cucamonga, California.The murder of Preston Lord and the Gilbert

Goons. Now, let's talk aboutthe hot topic around my community, the
homicide of sixteen year old Preston Lord. Members of the community and the Arizona
Republic newspaper have been vocal with theirthoughts that Preston's beating death was perpetrated by
the Gilbert Goons, based in Gilbert, Arizona, a conservative suburb just outside
(16:36):
the capital city of Phoenix. TheGilbert Goons are basically a group of affiliated
quote mostly rich, entitled white kidswho want to be gangsters. These are
teens and young adults who many believehave been wreaking havoc, beating, threatening,
and intimidating victims around the area forthe past two years. The Valley
(16:56):
of the Sun, as the PhoenixMetropolitan Area is loquially dubbed, comprises the
capital city at its epicenter, andtwenty four suburban municipalities of varying size for
forty miles in each and every direction. The major players here are the town
of Gilbert, located thirty five minutessouth and east of Phoenix, and Queen
(17:17):
Creek, which is another fifteen milesto the southeast of Gilbert. Chandler Arizona
is mentioned briefly as well, whichcan be found about halfway between Gilbert and
Queen Creek, but is to thewest. Queen Creek. Arizona is where
Preston Lord was beaten and left lyingin the street near one hundred and ninety
fourth Street and via Del Rancho Roadat an October twenty eighth, two thousand

and twenty three Halloween party. Itwas a brief attack carried out by multiple
individuals whose blows and head stumps ultimatelyproved fatal, with Preston dying from his
injuries two days later. That caseremains open, and in February two thousand
and twenty four, the Maricopa CountyMedical Exam ruled his death a homicide.

Police have been methodical and meticulous withthe investigation, but many in the community
have placed blame at the feet ofwhat they feel is a gang, the
Gilbert Goons. Calling the Goons agang is controversial around here because a criminal
street gang brings to mind drive byshootings and bandanas of certain colors, aspects

that don't particularly vibe with the spateof peer on peer teenage violence that's been
plaguing the bedroom community of Gilbert andthose around it. After all, Gilbert
is nicknamed the second safest city inAmerica, and Perry High School is at
the epicenter of this story, withmany of the accused having attended there,
the very same high school as currentSqueaky Clean NFL superstar quarterback Brock Purdy,

who just played in the Super Bowl. Reports indicate that the name originated from
members, with a twenty year oldsuspect telling the sheriffs in an early January
twenty twenty four interrogation that they calledthemselves that in their Snapchat group. Gilbert
police remained steadfast that they aren't awareof such a gang and continue to refrain
from using the term, although themedia, local activists and parents continue to

invoke it. They allege that recentattacks on teens dating back to twenty twenty
two can be attributed to the group, with a few of the film beatings
taking place at an in and outBurger fourteen. Video clips of alleged Goon
assaults have been submitted as evidence incivil litigation, videos which are helping identify

the faces seen and clip after clipas repeat participants. The chief of Gilbert
Police Department set in a December fourteenth, twenty and twenty three statement that quote,
recent alleged incidents of teen violence inGilbert have heightened community awareness, and
we want to make it known thatwe condemn any violence within our community.

What we know at this time isthat gilber Lbert PD does not have police
reports from victims or suspects associating orconnecting the name group to any alleged reported
criminal activity in our community. Aswe have shared many times in the handful
of cases that were reported to ourdepartment over the past year, none of
(20:17):
our interviews with victims or reports everused the term Gilbert goons or provided information
that the attacks were perpetrated by anymembers identifying themselves as a Gilbert goon.
While we weren't initially aware of theterm, we were actively addressing the violent
crime incidents involving teens during that time. From a legal standpoint, two of
(20:40):
seven criteria must be met for anorganization to be considered a criminal street gang,
which in Arizona is defined as quote, an ongoing formal or informal association
of persons in which members or associatesindividually or collectively engage in the commission,
attempted commission, facilitates or solicitation ofany felony act, and that has at
(21:03):
least one individual who is a criminalstreet gang member. In addition, a
street gang member can be identified whentwo of the following criteria are met self
proclamation, witness testimony or official statementwritten or electronic correspondents, paraphernalia or photographs,
tattoos, clothing or colors, orany other indissia of street gang membership.

When it comes to the so calledGilbert Goons, the attacks that some
attribute to alleged members became more andmore violent and escalated to homicide. One
victim said he saw brass knuckles duringhis attack. His revelation has already led
to propose legislation, as Bill eleveneighty three, which proposed to include them

as prohibited, was unanimously advanced inearly February two thousand twenty four, before
most of the aforementioned arrests had evenbeen made. Passage of the bill will
make the manufacturing, possessing, transporting, selling, or transferring of brass knuckles
a class one misdemeanor, as Arizonaremains one of twelve states with no laws
(22:10):
against brass knuckles. That's the urgencybuilding around these incidents, and the implications
of alleged goon involvement is beginning toaffect the parents of those accused. More
and more parents are being held accountablefor the actions of their kids, be
it school shooters or alleged goons,and the principle of a Chandler elementary school

has found the actions of her stepsonvastly affecting her life and career. The
sixteen year old was filmed running towardthe fight during one of the assaults at
the In and Out, but theclip ends before you can see if he
joins the melee, and according tothe police report, witnesses implicated him in
the planning of the attack, thoughhe denies any involvement to police and even

provided them with the video he sayshe got from social media. Initially arrested,
he's not been in and the MaricopaCounty Attorney recently declined to prosecute him
due to a lack of evidence ofhis participation in the actual attack. His
stepmother was interviewed by police in latetwenty twenty three, with their report stating
(23:14):
that quote, Jamie then told meshe did not want her step son in
harm's way by sharing names. Jamiesaid that this was a real concern with
what was going on right now.The report went on to read that quote.
Jamie then told me she was alwayslevel headed, and it seemed like
I wanted to make her stepson escapegoatbecause he talked to the police already and
cooperated right away by providing them withvideo the night this happened. Jamie then
(23:40):
brought up how the media was involvedand attributed this to being the only reason
her step son was being charged withanything. The sixteen year old had faced
charges of aggravated robbery because the victim'sshoes were taken, and though he was
released without being charged, his stepmotherstill had to go on leave from her
job as the Prince full of RiggsElementary School in Chandler, Arizona. She

and others have been named in asix million dollar lawsuit that includes her school
district, the Gilbert Police, andfifteen alleged goons as well as their thirty
parents, filed by the father ofthe boy beaten at the in and out.
He has been interviewed and has statedthat due to all of the publicity,
his son has moved out of thecountry to live with his mother.
Police are now trying to crack downon doxing incidents being made by vigilantes in

the community who have repeatedly leaked theidentities and addresses of individuals they believe are
part of the group. Two arrestshave been made, and the Gilbert Chief
of Police said that quote, wewant justice for each and every victim in
Gilbert. Collaboration between four local policedepartments and two sheriff's departments have led to
the arrests of forty two individuals relatedto Group teen violence incidents this year.

They say with the latest being theFebruary twentieth, two thousand and twenty four
of a seventeen year old on onecount of aggravated robbery, one count of
assault, and one count of disorderlyconduct, the first girl to be arrested.
But none of these arrests are relatedto the Halloween two thousand and twenty
three beating death of Preston Lord,so we'll keep watching to see who authorities

ultimately charge for his homicide. Thereis no statute of limitations on murder in
the Grand Canyon State, and withthe amount of witnesses and videos and photos,
authorities have a good start. TheDistrict Attorney's office continues to review the
one thousand, eight hundred page policereport, six hundred videos, and two

thousand pieces of other evidence related tothe homicide investigation and will determine if the
seven suspects, five juveniles and twoadults submitted to them for review will be
charged. Queen Creek's chief of policesaid in late two thousand and twenty three
that quote, I want to thankthose parents and children that have come forward

to provide information or details related tothis case. However, some parents have
actively refused to let their children participatein the investigation. We need people to
come forward and stand up for Preston. On February seventh, twenty twenty four,
Preston Lord's mother and father released astatement that read quote, after an

initial meeting, the Maricopa County Attorneycontinues to provide us with updates on her
office's review of the case involving thedeath of our son, Preston Lord.
The loss of our son is impossibleto bear, and we understand that there's
work to be done to achieve justicefor Preston. We are exercising patients to
ensure the best possible outcome and askmembers of the community and the media to

do the same. We are gratefulfor the outpouring of support and appreciate the
upstanding individuals who have provided information tolaw enforcement. Before I was even able
to post this episode, there wereupdates in the Preston Lord case. On
March sixth, two thousand and twentyfour, authorities announced the indictments and arrests

of several individuals for the homicide,and by the following day, a total
of seven had been arrested in connectionwith the teen's beating death. Four adults,
eighteen year old William Hines, twentyyear old Dominic Turner, nineteen year
old Taylor Sherman, and eighteen yearold Trsten Billy, and three juveniles,
Talan Renner, Jacob Meisner, andTalann Vigil, all seventeen years old,

were in custody by March seventh.The three of them are charged as adults,
as Arizona law requires that miners who'vebeen convicted of felonies and miners with
a violent felony charge be prosecuted inadult court. Talan Renner's eighteen year old
brother, Kyler, was not arrestedfor Preston Lord's murder. However, he
was arrested in January two thousand andtwenty four for participating in two separate filmed

goons a day tax that occurred inlate twenty twenty two. All of them
have at least a juvenile criminal record, and Hines and Meisner were already in
custody for multiple alleged goons related assaults, officially making that connection that the community
and the Arizona Republic have previously alleged. They're all charged with first degree murder,

second degree murder, and kidnapping,while Turner, Billy, and Meisner
were also charged with aggravated robbery.The first degree murder charges stem from the
fact that the homicide occurred during thecommission of an underlying felony. In this
case, it could be the theftof the ten dollars necklace, robbery,
or even the alleged kidnapping. Kidnappingis defined in Arizona fairly specifically, and

the part that pertains to this casecould be quote knowingly restraining another person.
A second degree murder conviction could comealong with or instead of a first degree
conviction, and doesn't need to havebeen pre meditated or perpetrated in conjunction with
any other felony to convict. Inorder to secure a second degree murder conviction,
