Today, we’re heading to the Pacific Northwest to explore the San Juan Islands. We work through a Junior Ranger activity together and explore the natural beauty of the islands, learning about the national historical park on San Juan Island, the formation and geological history of the area, its Indigenous heritage, the diverse plants and animals that inhabit the area, the park's establishment, and how to access the park.
Junior Rangers are explorers, learning all about the park’s ecosystems, plants and animals, and how to protect nature. The Junior Ranger program is not just for kids; it's for the young, and the young at heart!
