1 Peter 1:13-16, Leviticus 19:1-2, Exodus 29:43-46
The purpose of holiness to help serve the Lord in righteousness. God is Holiness, and Holiness is God. He is holiness in terms of wisdom, understanding knowledge, divinity, and power. Because He is holy, we too, are required to live in holiness. To be holy is to have a renewal of the mind, which allows us to be set apart from the world. Of course, we cannot do this by our own strength, but with the help of the Holy Spirit and looking to Jesus as an example. We need to follow holiness to please and serve the Lord. “Holiness is not an option, but a necessity for every child of God to possess the nations”. - P./Ovr. Dr. Daniel Nii Oko
