Main Text: Hebrews 7:26-28
Without holiness, no one can see or please God. It is the will of God for believers to be holy. God has not called us to live impure lives. Being holy opens us up to be vessels for God’s use and is important for the church as the church has been called to be sanctified. When we were in the world, we were slaves to our flesh, but now that we are saved, we should be slaves to holiness and righteousness. In being holy, we should be cleansed completely and there should be no iota of sin in our lives. We are made holy through the work of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as well as through the blood of Jesus and His word. Everything Jesus did exemplify holiness so to be able to do the works of Christ, we must live a holy life. If we want to possess the nations and operate in power, we need to be holy!
