Thirteen-year-old Amy was just riding along with her mom on an ordinary grocery run. No storm, no bad feeling, no obvious danger—just a red light, a quiet car, and a conversation that never actually happened. When her mom suddenly asked, “Did you say something?” Amy hadn’t spoken a word. But her mother’s face changed. Something was wrong.
As the light turned green, Amy’s mom did something completely against instinct in moving traffic: she refused to move. She told her daughter to start praying. Seconds later, a car barreled through the intersection, slamming into the vehicle that would have been right in front of them and sending it into a ditch.
