Missouri holds no shortage of haunted folklore, but for Beth O’Brien, the paranormal wasn’t something she discovered in a book or on a tour—it was part of her life from the moment she could form memories. Beginning at age four, Beth saw and sensed things the rest of her family dismissed or explained away. While the world around her encouraged disbelief, her own experiences refused to be ignored.
As she grew older, Beth began to realize that the spirits weren’t tied to one house, one place, or one moment. They followed her. Whether she understood them or not, the encounters continued, shaping her understanding of herself and her abilities. What started as childhood fear evolved into the recognition of a psychic sensitivity she could no longer deny—and one she would eventually learn to use to help others.
