Crystal was just 20 and starting to discover what life had to offer her when she suddenly vanished in the early hours of July 4th, 2001. What happened that night, how did she just disappear without anyone seeing something, anything. 20 years later her family is still asking these questions and desperate to understand what happened to crystal.
There’s a big confusion when people are researching this case that Crystal disappeared the day of Fourth of July holiday and into that following morning. I believe that the confusion is because they were at a friends watching fireworks, so it gets reported that she is spending Fourth of July at this friends house but she’s actually spending the evening of the third at this friends house. Her sister Jennifer is able to confirm the date of the third in some interviews. With the national holiday and the word fireworks people tend to get those days confused.
