Stop Telling Me To Relax: For Single Moms Who Don't Have Time To Chill

A single mother is defined as a woman who raises a child/children without a partner. A single mother can also be exhausted, self-sufficient, a hard worker, lonely, healing, and exuding so much pride in herself and her children. While doing the daily balance of managing any and every responsibility for themselves and their families. Mothers are often told "Why don't you just relax?" Which has always left this host thinking “When the do I have time to relax?” I have a child to take care of, figure out how to pay all the bills on my own, keep my house clean, exercise, cook perfect nutritious meals and try to have some sort of social, dating life. Oh and get some sleep too. There's very little time to relax! Stop Telling Me to Relax is a podcast community for single mothers to share their real stories about their journey through single motherhood. The persistent worries, heartbreak, major life changing decisions, financial strain and joys/triumphs. Stop Telling Me to Relax will aim to be the virtual space where we also discuss the hush hush stigma and isolation that single motherhood can carry. As well as the confidence, resiliency, wisdom and useful life skills. Nothing other than single motherhood can foster. Let’s chit- chat, laugh, cry and hopefully help each other feel less alone.
