13: David Sneddon: Tiger Leaping Gorge, China

David Sneddon was a 24 year old college kid from Utah, who was attending Mandarin classes in Beijing. Following the completion of classes, he decided to hike the famous Tiger Leaping Gorge before going home.
On August 14th, 2004, David mysteriously vanished, and both Chinese and the US authorities concluded he fell into the gorge and drowned.
However, seven years later, a pivotal phone call from a former US official reached David's parents, altering the course of their lives.
