Season 6, Episode 12. Andres Veiel, Filmmaker. Andres is a successful filmmaker with a long career stretching back to the early 90’s. I met with him after the screening of his latest film at the Zurich Film Festival, the documentary “Riefenstahl”, which unearths new information on the controversial filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl. During our conversation, we talked about how he got into films and learned from Krzysztof Kieslowski, and we also talked about memory and the stories we tell ourselves. He discussed the development of his latest film and some of the main challenges in telling this story.
