From her childhood in New Zealand (and with several early roles) movies and acting has been a big part in Vanessa's life and she brought so many wonderful dimensions to the character of Alice in The Tribe. In real life, Vanessa is not only a fabulous actress and performer on stage and screen but is also a tremendous singer and musician.
The Tribe is of course a drama series set against a world that has been impacted by a virus pandemic, leaving the young people, teenagers and children left behind to build a new world, in a world without adults. It is also approximately the 20th year anniversary since The Tribe was first broadcast - and how ironic it is that many themes and elements in the series have parallels with the virus now affecting the real world in 2020.
