88 Children Removed From Iowa Bible Camp Inside the Human Trafficking Investigation 
In June 2025, law enforcement descended on a small Iowa town to execute one of the largest child removal operations in the state's history. 88 children were evacuated from the Shekinah Glory Camp in Columbus Junction, launching a human trafficking investigation that would expose troubling questions about religious authority, refugee vulnerability, and alleged exploitation.

The Kingdom Ministry of Rehabilitation and Recreation, run by Burmese pastors in a town where 25% of residents are Myanmar refugees, operated what they claimed was a Bible camp for addiction recovery. But when a 15-year-old from Texas made a desperate call to authorities, it triggered a multi-agency raid involving the Louisa County Sheriff's Office, Iowa DHS, and state criminal investigators.
