102: Growing a career and a family - interview with Summer Hinton Lang

There is a lot of fear for many women in the workforce around what will happen when they decide to add "mom" to their resume.

How will their colleagues and managers react?
What will happen to their job?
Will they still have the same level of respect that they've worked years to build, or will it all have disappeared by the time they come back from parental leave?

Typically the only way to know is to ask, and for women to be brave and speak out about their anxiety and expectations around how companies treat expectant parents. And companies need to be ready to listen.

One woman who did just that is Summer Hinton Lang, Global COO at BMO, who joins me this episode to speak about her experience and what ultimately sparked a LinkedIn post that has nearly recieved one thousand likes.
