Sharon Hawthorne

Sharon Hawthorne is an author and writer and for over two decades, she has worked as a writer, editor, and publisher in various fields within newspapers, magazines, and books - including advertising, feature writing, marketing and communications, book editing, and author mentorship.

Sharon recognised that, without experience, navigating the self-publishing world and writing a manuscript from scratch could be overwhelming, so she developed Manuscript to Marketplace to create space for new and experienced writers to produce high-quality books through tailored mentoring programs and professional publishing services.

She believes that with the right coaching, and guidance anyone can publish a high-quality book that represents their brand and their business, offers wisdom and expertise to their reader, and leaves a legacy for future generations.

In this episode, Sharon shares the value of finding support through networking groups. She acknowledges that although life can through you curveballs, it is often for the better. Providing opportunity for gratitude and becoming stronger with a positive mindset.

Sharon talks about balancing responsibilities with running a publishing business, how to handle unexpected disruptions to your schedule, and maintain a healthy work-life balance. Reminding us to be kind to ourselves.

She shares valuable information for every up-and-coming writer on getting started and following through.

A must listen for anyone who has put pen to paper, and unsure what to do next.
