Jack gannon government sucks. The suitof happing US radio is DeLux. Liberty
and freedom will make you smile.A suit of happing and US on your
radio tole justice Cheseburgers a living priest. It's eclipse day. We hope you're
(00:21):
all somewhere safe. People still drivingaround stuck in post eclipse traffic. As
expected, the eclipse only lasted afew minutes, So I guess that's one
thing it has in common with JoeBiden's last campaign appearance. Thank you for
tuning in today. My guest thisafternoon, Mary Rook stopping by from the
Daily Caller, and I I knowthat you've heard this before, but it
(00:42):
still needs to get repeated. JohnCornyn, the senior Senator of Texas,
does not need to be the leaderof the Republicans in our Senate. The
guy that replaces Mitch McConnell should bean actual conservative, I don't know,
like Rand Pauler, Mike leear TedCruz. We're going to talk about that
and the latest from Asta Texas. The latestton Texas with a young woman named
(01:02):
April Aguar. She is stopping byand she is furious about a cartel connected
car theft ring happening in and aroundthe city of Houston, Texas. We'll
get to that as well, butbefore we get to any of it,
it happened again. A Boeing seventhirty seven that was on its way to
Houston from Denver had to return tothe airport after an engine issue. Southwest
(01:26):
flight w M three six ninety five. If you had a family member on
that plane, you already know thatBoeing seven thirty seven eight hundred did not
reach its final destination on time. The crew declared an emergency. They reported
that part of the engine cowling haddetached and was hanging precariously. It was
really freaky and scary looking. Let'sgo ahead and declare an emergency for Southwest
(01:49):
thirty six ninety five, and Iwould like, uh huh an immediate return.
We got a piece of the enginecowling hanging off. Apparently twenty five
roer that turned left hitting one nineer zero fifth mber of Vie Intervixers left
turn heading one nine zero southwest thirtysix ninety five. It's all We joked
about it on the morning show today. It's like being in the twilight zone
(02:10):
and looking out the window in theairplane is falling apart in the sky,
of course, minus the gremlin. Now you would think that the CEO of
Boeing would be arrested, he'd betarred and feathered, he'd be treated,
figuratively speaking, be treated quite horriblyfor the terrible job that he's done.
Turns out no, the outgoing BoeingCEO could walk away with a massive pay
(02:30):
package. His company's scrambling to regainpublic trust. But he's going to get
thirty two point eight million dollars intotal compensation by the company, marked increase
from prior years if shareholders approve hispay package. I don't know why they
would, but according to the reporttoday, apparently they are going to.
It's like, we cannot give thisguy enough money. You're going to give
(02:53):
this guy thirty two million dollars. He destroyed the company with ESG and DEI
don know what DEI is. It'sequity, inclusion, diversity, equity and
inclusion, right, But ESG scoresare equally as problematic. That's your environmental,
social and governance score. It includesenvironmental issues, social issues, corporate
(03:14):
governance. You know, are wecaring enough about the earth and in combined
with that, are we being reverseracist. Enough, for lack of a
better term, I know there's nosuch thing as reverse racism, it's just
racism. DEI is real. It'sa real issue leftist political enthusiasts taking over
corporate America and sprinkling their insanity everywhere. There's a video today that went viral
(03:39):
of the DEI female pilot. Thiswoman shows up late for her flight.
She's supposed to fly the plane. She's not in her uniform. And listen
to this report from inside addition describingwhat this woman did. She showed up
late, she's not dressed to fly, and she started talking about her divorce.
(04:00):
The PA system on the plane. If you don't feel fake, get
off the airplane. This is yourcaptain speaking. But never like this.
I'll stop and a look why theairplane. Don't worry. I'm gonna let
my co pilots fly it. He'sa man, Okay. It's a total
meltdown. The pilot boarded in herstreet clothes and addressed the passengers over the
intercof Passenger Pam O'Neill couldn't believe whatwas happening. She said, let's take
(04:24):
a vote, how many of youwould like to take off now? With
me dressed as I am, orwould you prefer that I take ten minutes
to get changed into my cute littleuniform. Then she started talking about her
divorce and political candidates. In aminute, she mentioned that a gentleman stood
up and just yelled, blow enough, you're scaring me. Another passenger,
(04:45):
Randy Reese, got up to leaveand gave a running commentary on social media.
Pilot also insulted a couple on board. Did I offend you? Okay?
So did I purposely offend you?I did? The answer she yes,
Flight attendants please disc on doors. After twenty passengers insisted on getting off
the United Airlines flight, the pilotquietly left the aircraft. Oh yeah,
(05:06):
probably because this lady is losing hermind. You know. Between twenty sixteen
and twenty eighteen people started to noticestuff. That was when the whistleblower at
Boeing first showed up. The whistleblowerfor Boeing has been out there warning people
about issues at Boeing since twenty seventy. The guy recently died by suicide.
(05:29):
If you believe that, you thinkhe was murdered. Some people speculate he
was I have no idea. Seemsawfully convenient. The guy you just happened
to kill himself right when people arenoticing he was right. You know when
Boeing seven thirty seven Max crashed inAsia and Africa, do you guys remember
that fingers were pointed at the Asianand African pilots instead of the American aircraft
(05:49):
manufacture. When the black boxes wereretrieved, it was revealed that the pilots
did what they were supposed to doand Boeing seven thirty seven Max was faulty
O Their investigation showed that Lion Air, the airline, reached out for more
training for their pilots for the newseven thirty seven Max planes, Boeing belittled
them and refused to conduct further pilottraining. Bo's Boeing seven thirty seven Max
(06:15):
airplanes continued flying after that until China, of all countries, actually stepped in,
took the lead and unilaterally grounded theaircraft after it was revealed that China
didn't think these planes were safe.Australia, Canada, Singapore, Indonesia,
Europe, the entire continent in NewZealand, they followed suit like wow in
China, where security standards are prettylax even they don't want these things up
(06:38):
in the sky. Boeing prioritized profitsover passenger safety. Boeing share price was
unaffected when this first started. Idon't know why, and the Boeing story
is a lesson on diversity for allof us. If we were not biased
towards Indonesia's Lion Air, we mighthave caught the default in Boeing seven seven
(06:59):
Max earlier and the second crash mightnot have happened. You guys, remember
that back in twenty eighteen, ifwe didn't have prejudice towards Ethiopian airplanes,
countries could have grounded seven thirty sevenMax much sooner. The issue wasn't Asians
or Africans or whatever. The issuewas that Boeing seven thirty. That Boeing,
the company building these planes, wasn'thiring people based on their skill set.
(07:23):
They were hiring people because of theirskin color, their gender, and
their sexuality, and they were prioritizingthat. Ironically, it was countries in
black, brown, whatever color youchoose to describe them as. I don't
know what's politically correct at the moment. Who had to pay the price for
Boeing's lackluster safety protocol. That's wherethose famous plane crashes happened back in twenty
(07:46):
sixteen and twenty eighteen. So it'snot racist to criticize DEI honestly, it's
probably racist to not criticize it.Which side of the argument, do you
want to be on another plane forcedto make an emergency landing? Yeah?
Yesterday. The company is still requestingengineering exemptions poets annual incentive plan change from
rewarding quality and safety to rewarding peoplehitting DII and climate targets. Welcome to
(08:13):
Boeing where we make earnings for sharing. Also, I guess planes, sir,
I still have a concern about thesafety of our process for the new
scene on New Incent Pain. Ournew plane is fuel of fish Shaw,
It's the breeze of the skies. And once we hit all of those es
(08:35):
G targets, we've got enough toworry about. Guys deluding our key priorities
is problematic for safety. Don't youthink there might one day be consequences to
this? None that I can forse. That's dude's rain literally falling from
(09:00):
the sky. Imagine that live fromTexas, broadcasting across the people's We want
think of America. This is perceivesof how it is Radio with Ken Webster,
judr Akay producer Kenny keep it here. If you live outside of Texas
(09:28):
and you're a conservative or a Republican, you might look at our state and
think, wow, I wish wewere more like Texas. Texas is so
conservative, Texas is red pilled,Texas is based. But if you actually
live in Texas and you pay attentionto what's happening in our state, you
know that all is not well, all is not perfect. It's kind of
amazing to me how many people outsideof Texas Republicans Republican voters don't understand the
(09:54):
controversy. They don't understand the politicsof the botched Ken Paxton impeachment from last
year. The whole thing was aGeorge Bush. It was a Bush dynasty
political attempted coup. Now I'm notonly the Republican Party but the state of
Texas political system. The point wasto get rid of the America first Attorney
(10:15):
general we have and replace him withsomebody much worse George P. Bush.
But a national level, most peopledidn't understand what was happening inside of our
state political system. That's why thereplacement of Mitch McConnell scares me so much.
To people that live outside is Texas, it might seem obvious to them.
Hey, we need a new leaderof the Senate Republicans to replace Mitch
(10:39):
McConnell when Mitch steps down. Whoshould it be? I know, why
not the senior senator, Republican SenatorJohn Cornyn. Okay, for those of
you listening to listen to talk radioregularly, you already know why he's an
issue. John Cornyn. We usedto affectionately refer to him as John Wayne
mccornyn. It was our way ofmaking fun of John Cornyn and John McCain
(11:01):
at the same time and pointing outhow both of these guys seem to try
to pretend like their John Wayne.John Cornyn is not the root and tutin
good old Boy Home on the RangeTexas cowboy that you'd want him to be
anything. But he's very much aDallas Houston Republican, a rhino loves his
(11:22):
life in the Beltway. Recently posteda photo on social media of the saddest
looking brisket you've ever seen in yourlife. Now, most people don't think
about eating habits when they walk intoa voting booth. But if you're a
real Texan, a real grassroots conservative, you know full well that photo of
that brisket was just as sad ashis voting record. I know I'm not
(11:43):
the only one that noticed it.Mary Rook is a contributor at the Daily
Caller. She's also a resident oflifelong resident of Texas, a Texas Conservative.
Mary, When you hear that JohnCornyn might be replacing Mitch McConnell as
the Senate Republican leader, what's thefirst thing you think about? Are they
serious? Like, you cannot bein Texas and be here for as long
(12:05):
as I have and believe that JohnCornyn should have that seed. And it's
not just me. Voters are wakingup all over the state and going,
wait, no, no, no, stops, don't stop stop right there.
You cannot put John Cornon in thatseat. He's done absolutely nothing for
real Republicans here in Texas. Anything. He's pushed the establishment line through and
through every vote that you look atand you think to yourself, surely,
(12:26):
I'm not going to see one ofmy Texas senator's names on this list.
John Cornyn is almost certainly always there, especially with that illegal immigration bill that
they tried to pass through and theyactually hung it on that Oklahoma Senator Langford's
head, but Cornyan was just rightthere in there with him and Mitch McConnell's
supporting it all the way until theyrealized, oh man, this is not
(12:48):
good for business. Voters are gonnahave too big of a backlash for this
one. Like, the reality isis that John Cornyn is that establishment Republican
that we've been fighting back against forthe you know, since twenty fifteen,
since we woke up and realized therewas a UNI Party there in Washington and
the voters don't want him in.And the funny thing is is we wrote
this piece for the Daily Caller,me and our other reporter, Zach Brave,
(13:13):
and we just went around and asked, how do you feel about Zach
Cornan and our Zach Cornin, sorry, how do you feel about John Cornyn?
And every person that we talked tosaid get him out. And it's
not even just that. Of course, he's going to be popular in Washington,
DC because he toes that UNI partyline, but he's not popular here
in Texas. So he may sitthere and that send him a majority leader
(13:35):
seat for a little bit, butit's not going to save him from the
voters. Here. Next month,we have the Texas Republican Party convention happening
in San Antonio. Now two yearsago it was in Houston, and that
audio here in the background, that'sJohn Cordon getting bood. They wouldn't even
let him talk. Of course, this happened right after John Cornan went out
(13:58):
and pushed that gun control bill. Now, kind of like Dan Crenshaw or
Tony Gonzalez, John Cornyn talks big, he talks like a conservative, but
when you look at his voting record, he is not who he appears to
be. It's just as true ason immigration as it is on foreign policy.
You put any swampy bill in frontof John Cornyn and this guy's going
to vote for it. Loves Ukraine. I know I sound cliche when I
(14:20):
say this, but Mary, don'tyou wish John Cornyn loved protecting the border
of Texas as much as he lovesprotecting the border of Ukraine. Yeah,
And I wish that that hadn't becomea cliche at this point because it's like,
what's the difference between him and JoeBiden? Absolutely nothing when it comes
to Ukraine and our border. Theywould much rather see it be open,
have, you know, enrich theircorrupt DC class with the as many illegal
(14:43):
voters as possible that can come in, and then while the voters here get
damaged for their jobs, their wagesand everything else in between. It's just
a really disappointing reality whenever you lookat Corn's voting record, and like you
said, at that Republican National thatwas like fourteen minutes straight of booing,
he had to stand there and tryand take it and try and speak,
(15:05):
and then eventually he just gave upand walked off stage. It was a
true testament to how Texas feels abouthim. And he better wake up because
twenty twenty six is not gonna beeasy. No it's not. And you
know, you really wonder too,why do so many people not understand this.
It's just as true with Senator JohnCornyn as it is with the Texas
(15:26):
State House. For years, wehave had a Speaker of the House,
whether it was the current guy orthe last guy or the guy before that,
who would put in charge of committeesDemocrats. Committee chairmanship positions went to
Democrats. Why well, because themoderate Republicans teamed up at the Democrats realizing
they could outnumber the Conservatives. Wecould have had a conservative Speaker of the
(15:48):
House, we could have had Republicansin charge of our committees, but we
didn't. And the reason that nobodynoticed, the reason nobody cared, is
people didn't care to pay attention. Now, on the heels of this Ken
Paxton impeachment, people finally started tonotice, didn't they. Yeah, not
just that, but Felan was incharge of putting Hugh Brady, which was
President Barack Obama's former White House GeneralCounsel, as the Texas House parlaentaryman to
(16:12):
parliamentarian. And for those of youwho don't understand what that means, it's
a really important job in the House. They're not elected, they're put into
the position, and essentially they controlthe status of what's going on on the
floor of the House whenever you dovotes and whatever you're trying to call up
for election or for legislation. Andessentially what was happening is this guy was
hurting every single Conservative legislation that wascoming through. If Phelan didn't want it
(16:36):
to pass, then he would justissue Hugh Brady in there. A little
bit of a parliamentary order and thenthat guy would just take over, I
mean, and then whenever you lookat the political impeachment of Attorney General Ken
Paxton, it's the same thing. It's like what Felin was doing was betraying
Texas voters and the base. Andwhat we are seeing now is Felin fighting
for his life over there in Districttwo as he goes in for the run
(16:59):
off against David Covey. And thisis true not just for him, but
a lot of his leadership went intothe primary this year and lost because voters
are set up with a fake Republicanin charge and they do not want that
anymore. So today we have thirteenRepublicans who stood up and they signed an
order or reform to reform the TexasHouse of Representatives and you know, a
(17:22):
promise that they're going to do everythingin their power to elect a real Republican
speaker this time around. And thereare a list of evans, about twelve
of them, including ensuring that theparliamentarian was not a Democrat, ensuring that
Democrats were not charing committees, notonly not sharing committees, but we had
them as the majorities in committees whereyou know, important legislation. Like with
(17:45):
people, if you don't understand howyour state congress works, in order to
even get a bill to a flord, it has to get out of committee.
And if you have Democrats, I'mthe majority of a committee and you
have a conservative legislation trying to getthrough, it's impossible. And when you
have at least twenty four I thinkis what we have seat majority in the
House right now. It's unheard offor a Democrat majority of this stature and
(18:11):
any excuse me any other state tobe giving Republicans a majority. So why
in Texas, of all states didwe do that? Now. I've spoken
to a couple of people around Texasand they claim it's because you have to
have bipartisan agreement in order to getthese paths, and we don't have that
big of a majority, and sowe need Democrats to get these bills passed.
But people like Representative Brian Harrison assuredme that that is just you know,
(18:34):
swamp talk. Essentially, it isan excuse in order to be able
to have these Democrats and control ofthings. And the reality is Republicans have
more than enough votes to get theirlegislation passed. And what we need is
actual leadership in the House that'll helpmake that of sense. And Feeling loves
to claim that he had a conservativeagenda, and all of his cronies down
there and Austin loved to claim thatthey helped him get this stuff through.
(18:56):
But the proof in the pudding. He did not help pass you know,
bands for vaccine mandates for Texans. He did not help get the Constitutional Mint
pass that helped protect Texas elections fromillegal voters, and he failed to get
school choice up for a vote.I mean, you can't look at these
three things and then claim that youhad a conservative agenda. You just don't.
(19:17):
And then add that on to thekin Pax and trial, add that
on to the fact that we hadDemocrat shares, add that on to Hugh
Brady issue for the parliamentarian. Imean, it's just an all over ex
for him. Yeah, good point. All right. So I don't know
if anything's going to happen in thisrunoff with David Covey and Dad fail.
And we've had David here before. It seems like David wins, right,
Like, that's my prediction, butyou never know in the eleventh hour what
(19:41):
the establishment could pull off in themeantime, in the wake of these the
primary we just had in the stateof Texas, as a grassroots conservative,
Mary, you got to be feelingpretty good about things at the moment.
Oh, for sure. I thinkwe are doing really great. I mean,
we had a huge wave of incumbentslose this year and ones that we
really wanted to get out of theHouse, and I think that it's a
(20:03):
great move. Not just that, but we had some you know, judges
come in and you know, differentareas of Texas leadership that we really needed
to switch over to true Republicans. And here's the thing. If these people
that are coming in, these nominees, if there's one thing that they need
to learn about this whole lesson thatwe've taught these incumbents is that we're watching.
And so if you don't hold trueto your word, and if you
(20:23):
don't come in as the you know, true conservative fighter that you claim to
be and you know that we supportedyou and put you in, we're just
as quick going to take you outas we took them out. There is
absolutely no love loss for people likethat. Mary Rook, columnist and contributor
at The Daily Caller. Find heron x she's a good follow. Check
out her work at Dailycollar dot com. You want listening to the pursuit of
(20:47):
happiness radio pursuit of happiness? Wedon't have that in Mexico. The horny
(21:07):
over sexualized zombies sounds pretty scary, right it is? And also they're cicadas.
Trillions of cicadas will emerge across thecountry this spring in an event one
expert has dubbed cicada geddon or cicadagates. I don't know. It's so
easy to do that, right,It's just lazy cicada geddon. All right,
(21:30):
it's a lot of cicadas. Notonly are more cicadas than usual expected
this year, but some of themwill be zombie cicadas that are infected by
a sexually transmitted fungus that makes themhyper sexual. Wow, it's like teenagers
or something. Period I hope,I mean, I hope not. I
don't know. I have no idea, but I periodical cicadas spend most of
(21:51):
their lives underground and only emerge afterthirteen or seventeen years. This year,
two broods of cicada will emerge, and one of them is called Rude.
What is it? Brood? Nineteen, which comes out every thirteen years,
and that it will emerge in Georgiaand the Southeast. And then there's brood
thirteen, which emerges every seventeen years, that's going to appear in Illinois.
(22:12):
And if these make their way downto Texas, there's good news and bad
news. It's going to be badfor the crops. But the good news
is we have a lot of flyinganimals here that will eat them, So
this isn't going to affect us asmuch as it will affect people in other
parts of the country. But still, I'm sure we both agree you don't
want any kind of creature that's notsupposed to be here in this land naturally
(22:33):
to come and invade. Oh doesit sound like I'm using this as an
analogy to describe our immigration crisis.Yeah, I kind of am. Fair
fair point. Lately, a lotof illegal immigrant aliens they don't come flying
in the sky. They walk overthe border, and they have been instructed
by viral social media accounts on howto get over the border, not only
how to get on the border overthe border, but how to get free
(22:56):
healthcare, free food, free housingonce you get here. One of the
things they do is they squat squatting. Squatting has been a big issue lately.
It's been all over the news.Florida is Governor Ron de Santis just
passed laws to make it illegal inthe state, which is odd that you
could do it in the first place. Expert analysis puts squatting in New York
(23:18):
City at as much as twenty percenthigher over the past two years, according
to a new report today in ThePost, and the bungled approach to COVID
is clearly part of the problem. It's a high profile nightmare for property owners,
from a crew of illegal immigrant criminalswho took up residents in the Bronx
to Queen's scammers trying to steal twomillion dollar house out from under some elderly
(23:42):
couple with a disabled son. Thelegal absurdities the actual owner's face are just
disgusting. There's another news story todayfrom Queens. A homeowner Adela and Alaro,
got arrested for having the opinion theposition that trying to get a squatting
(24:06):
thug out of her house was withinmeans something she had to do. The
squatters were reportedly subletting. Isn't thatcrazy? Could you imagine the people break
into your home, and then theysublet the unit to someone, and then
there's another duo sued the legal ownersof the house they were trying to steal
and try to use a Shakeshack receiptas proof of their Tennessee tendancy that they
(24:30):
live there. This is all thanksto New York's pro disorder laws. There's
no other ways to just describe it. The pro disorder laws in New York
City grant squatter's possession after thirty days, currently leave no recourse for homeowners except
a lengthy slog through the courts.Even then, the court system offers countless
(24:52):
opportunities for the squatters to delay facingany consequences. It's just a bunch of
it's usual loopholes. It's designed tobe needlessly complicated, and that's exactly what
it is. In New York City. The housing courts, never a miracle
of efficiency, are choked to thegills with a backlog of cases thrown into
(25:15):
limbo by drastic COVID over regulations. The reactions we had from COVID in liberal
blue cities made it almost impossible toown property, but made it very easy
to steal property. The reaction thatNew York City had to COVID included both
(25:36):
city court closures and eviction moratoriums. What a nightmare. As with so many
other issues around the basic rule oflaw, New York City's political class is
or happy to side with the thieves, no matter whether they're stealing toothpaste from
the Walgreens or the roof over someone'shead. Liberal Democrats will be there to
(25:57):
defend them. Coming up in alittle bit, we're gonna talk about crime
in our city, Harris County.Over the weekend, I saw a video
a young black man describing how sickening, help vile the criminal justice system is
(26:18):
in Harris County. And I mean, I thought he explained it so well.
Sometimes people explain things differently than howI would explain them, So I
just figured, why not let himtell you in his own words. Harris
County has an overall crime grade ofa C minus vit the crimes C plus
property crimes D plus other crimes Bminus. Your chance of being a victim
of a crime in Harris County maybe as high as one in eight.
(26:41):
Damn. Now, if you justso happened to be one of the people
committing the crimes in Harris County. You ain't got much to worry about because
Harris's County don't hold mother accountable. They gonna release your ass so fast that
your people ain't even gonna get thepost FREEU on Instagram. Your chance of
being a victim of property crime inHarris County may be as high as one.
And we can't forget Sunnyside is inHarris County, fifth Ward is in
(27:03):
Harris County, Acres Homes is inHarris County, and Greenspoint is in Harris
County. One thing that all theseplaces in Harris County got in common is
if you take your goofy ass aroundthere, you gonna get the goofy blue
out your ass. More a littlestory, Harris County dangerous than the mother.
You'll get your ass blue the smithof rings around this bitch and the
mother that blow you in the smithof rings. They might get locked up,
(27:26):
but they ass gonna be free onbond and forty eight hours. Oh
my kids, free on bone free, on bone free, on bone free
on bun Sure it didn't the sameto take too long, Lord and Mercy,
He's free on bone. I likeI like the food at Johnny Caraba's
but I was very disappointed to seethis. Johnny Caraba, Uh Carabas on
(27:48):
Kirby is hosting a fundraiser for SeanTier, the Harris County Democrat Party candidate
for a district attorney. And thisguy is empty the courts, pat the
criminals on the back kind of guy. He's probably gonna win too. That's
what sucks about it. I don'tknow why Johnny Caraba is supporting this guy.
(28:10):
It's a shame. I like thatrestaurant, but when you see things
like this, look, I don'tknow, and makes me rethink if I
want to go eat a Carabas fordinner tonight. It's a shame that he's
doing I don't know why Johnny's doingthat. I don't know. You always
wonder if it's worth the effort togo out, if you really had to
bend over backwards to not support businessesthat don't support your beliefs. How many
(28:33):
businesses are there that you could goto BUCkies? BUCkies supports conservative politicians.
You could go to Bill Miller Barbecuein San Antonio. That guy supports Donald
Trump. It sucks, right,it's a short list. You can't go
to AGB Chib was funding candidates thatwere against school choice and also supporting drag
queen shows for kids. But notsurprisingly, a lot of money for people
(28:56):
like Sean Tier actually come from peopleout state, guys like George Soros,
for example. You know, there'sa report today in the Washington Examiner about
how Wisconsin voters made the Badger statethe twenty eighth state in the Union to
ban private funding of public elections. They're talking about zucker books. Mark Zuckerberg
(29:18):
and his wife Priscilla spent four hundredmillion dollars to try to overturn elections to
try to push liberal causes in redstates. Weirdly enough, Mark Zuckerberg moved
a lot of his business operation toTexas for the tax incentives. But weirdly
enough, even though he realizes it'sa better state to do business, and
(29:38):
he's still spent off fortune millions ofdollars, hundreds of millions of dollars trying
to turn Texas blue. Mark Zuckerberg'smoney was used to increase absentee voting and
dramatically expand strategic voter education and outreach. If these voter registration and absentee voting
efforts had been done on a nonpartisanbasis. Maybe they could be considered beneficial
(30:00):
to democracy, you know, themore people that vote the better. Sure,
but the Zuckerberg money was not spenton a non partisan basis. The
detailed analysis shows that the grant moneywent on both an absolute and per capita
basis to deeply democratic urban areas. In other words, by focusing their grant
money on neighborhoods where Democrats enjoyed overwhelmingsupport, Mark Zuckerberg was able to use
(30:22):
tax free money to help Joe Bidenwin elections without reporting any of the money
spent his donations to the Biden campaign. Should it be illegal, it should
be. State Senator Mas Middleton actuallyproposed a law here in Texas to get
rid of Zuckerbucks. I don't knowwhy it didn't pass. The fact that
twenty eight states have already banned privatemoney from going to an election inter administration
(30:48):
is a positive development. We needto ban out of state money from our
elections in Texas, and Congress needsto go further and ban it in all
fifty states. Congress must go furtherand ban the use of nonprofit dollars for
voter registration. If the Democratic andRepublican parties want to register voters or the
Biden and Trump campaigns, great,go ahead and do so. They could
(31:10):
pay people to do that through theexisting campaign finance system. But nonprofit groups
should not be involved in voter outreach, and either should county or state or
federal government employees, because guess what, they're all Democrats and they're never registering
people to vote in the places youwant them to register people. Free specialies
(31:32):
on right here on proceeds unhappy withthis radios. If you can hear my
voice right now, that means yousurvived the eclipse today. Boo, I'm
glad we're all alive. That boy, that eclipse and that's strange. They
made such a big deal out ofit. And then you know, the
(31:53):
eclipse comes and it goes just asit always has. There's been eclipses before,
we've had it out. The thingI always wonder the media will get
out there and they'll tell you, hey, what is NASA doing during the
eclipse? What are scientists doing duringthe eclipse? You know what? I
wonder what were criminals doing during theeclipse? I mean, think about it.
It gets dark for a few minutesin the middle of the day.
(32:15):
It's a perfect opportunity to steal acatalytic converter or a purse, or rob
somebody. Officials have identified five menarrested as part of a chop shop raid
linked to Nueva Generationione car Is,a cartel group here in Houston. Law
enforcement confirm the identities of five menlinked to a pretty serious crime going around
(32:42):
stealing vehicles. Violent dangerous criminals, cartel thugs operating in our city. The
only thing that surprises me about thisdoesn't surprise me that there's dangerous, notorious
cartel activity here in Houston, consideringour proximity to the border and the fact
that we're a big city in Texas. The thing that surprises me about this
is that the cartel has time towaste on this. I mean, think
(33:04):
about it. They're trafficking humans, they're trafficking drugs, but as my next
guest will tell you, they gottime for petty crimes as well. I
don't know if you consider this bad. I mean, I think it's pretty
serious. April, like guire Ishas been on the show before, April
is a criminal of victims. She'sa victim's rights advocate from here in Houston,
Texas. And April your working everseems to end, does it?
(33:28):
Absolutely not? And you know whenit comes to smuggling humans and smuggling drugs,
you need vehicles with quan tags.So this is where stealing vehicles comes
in. Yeah, that it makesperfect sense. That's why they do it,
right, because it's not just aboutstealing the car. It's about stealing
the car to commit more crimes, isn't it correct? And after they're done
(33:50):
using a vehicle for crimes, andthey make a little bit of money off
of it, sure, yeah,I mean might as well, right exactly.
It's like after you purchase a sixpack of coke to trade in the
glass bottles and get a refund onthe glass, right. But of course
they go through our criminal justices themhere in Harris County. Out of the
five, three of the two ofthem are illegal, right. One of
(34:14):
those illegals gets a pr bond, which is a get out of free jail
card, and the other two getout for one hundred dollars. This has
got to drive you nuts, youknow, I see this happen in the
news, but you really keep trackof these, You flag these, you
keep a record, and this stuff'sbeen happening quite a bit lately, hasn't
it? I'm sure has So whatdo you wait for for them to kill
(34:36):
somebody while they're stealing a vehicle? What is it that we wait for to
take it seriously? But my biggestconcern is how we ignore federal law.
Law exists that migrants shouldn't be inthis country. And Okay, you don't
want to take it seriously for thelaw biding migrants, But when these migrants
have such serious ties to very dangerousorganized crime organizations in Mexico and are committing
(35:01):
crimes here, why not flag themfor immigration holds? Yeah? And so
I guess the obvious question here,And this is what you know. This
is the shame of our liberal media. You, as a Hispanic woman in
Houston, Texas, April. Accordingto our legacy liberal media, you're not
supposed to take this position. You'resupposed to be for open borders. But
(35:22):
that's exactly the opposite of the positionyou're taking. Correct. So, my
parents, you know, got tothis country illegally, but my parents have
never had contacts with any type oflaw enforcement. Came in, have worked
very, very hard, and haveworked hard to become legal in this country.
(35:44):
Correct, never asked for a dimefrom anybody. But now we have
a different type of migrant coming in. We have the type of migrant that's
coming here to cast harm to ourcountry and our people, right Exactly.
It was one thing when it wasjust working class people seeking opportunities, or
even political refugees. I mean, that was the whole reason why these loopholes
(36:05):
are supposed to exist, somebody that'sfleeing from an oppressive government. But as
strange as it is, a lotof the people applying for refugee status,
even if that is technically why they'regetting the refugee status, they're not political
refugees. They're refugees of poverty. There's a difference, right, correct.
And I believe that once a personcomes in and starts having contact with law
(36:28):
enforcement and not following our laws tobe an automatic red flag, especially when
you have this was a month's longinvestigation that involves the FBI, the Harris
County Sheriff's Office, and the HoustonPolice Department, and Homeland Security. Only
for them to be let out ofjail for one hundred bucks. Yeah,
one hundred bucks is crazy, especiallywhen you consider we actually in this country
(36:52):
right now, we're using rico lawsto try to take down a former president.
But remember what Rico laws were createdfor. Rico laws were created so
that we could arrest people that areconnected to organized criminal groups. Here you've
got a group of people that areactually connected to an organized criminal group.
They're literally cartel thugs. But Idon't see anybody invoking Rico laws here.
(37:13):
You know, I tell you whatyou know. Mexico is a stranger to
try to take down an opposition politicalparty with their own laws. My parents
living in Mexico in the seventies tellme that we're really going downhill. You
got to know your history a littlebit to understand that Mexico's election system got
(37:34):
overturned years ago and has been undercontrol not by the people but by political
strongholds. And it's kind of whatwe're doing here. We're painting this really
terrible picture of a person who wasa previous president, which is really absurd.
And you know, I can tellyou one thing. People are not
dumb, and they're waking up.And the slim majority knows the way they
have treated the president, the previouspresident. If they can do that to
(37:59):
them, can they do as ascivilians who don't have the money or resources
to defend ourselves. Yeah, there'sno such thing as a politician in Mexico
who isn't controlled by the cartels.Doesn't exist in any Yeah, they're all
controlled by the question is which cartelgroup and how much influence does the cartels
have over them. Imagine back inthe nineteen twenties, Like, I'm no
(38:19):
fan of prohibition, but during Prohibition, you had local politicians, local law
enforcement that were controlled by the organizedcrime, the mob, right, the
mafia, the LaCosta Nostra, orwhoever it was at the time, you
know, al Capone, you know, take it, whatever the group was.
And so that was the reason wehad federal agents. Federal agents would
stop step in, you know, elliot Ness or whatever. Kevin Costner,
(38:42):
the untouchables would step in and theywould fight local criminals who were actually controlling
law enforcement. That doesn't exist inMexico. There's no elliot Ness in Mexico
because even the federal agents are controlledby the cartels. Right, So what
do you what do we do?What do we do about that? We've
got the current president in Mexico sayshe is going to do everything he can
(39:05):
to violate Texas immigration laws. Wedon't really and our own president isn't on
our side right now. What hopedo we have? I mean, it's
very difficult. My dad says thatkeep migrating north. He's like, Canada
is a new place to Oh yeah, that's it. Now you've seen this
report. Apparently over the last eightyears, over two hundred thousand credible criminal
(39:30):
cases were either dropped or ignored inthe city, they claim because the lack
of resources. They claim over fourthousand rape cases. Now the police union
stepped in and cast a little bitof doubt on this. They say,
it's not as bad as it sounds. What do you think, you know,
I think that even a thousand cases, it's even a thousand of them
were credible. That means that thesepeople get to go. The criminals are
(39:53):
living large. They get to goand commit crimes again again, So victims
support the crime and nothing ha happens. It's a criminals world and it just
reminds me of the climate here inHarris County in Houston, April, you
are a criminal that you are avictim's rights advocate, and you've been doing
this for a while. Would youtell our listeners again, I know you've
(40:14):
told this story before, but justreal quick, what is it that got
you into this? Well, whatit got me into this was the fact
that we've been living here in Houston, our whole lives right, and one
night, on our way to dinneron Valentine's Day, all this criminal activity
that has been taking place that weknew was happening, but you know,
would see it on the news andbe like, oh my god, did
(40:36):
you see this? Oh yeah, that's terrible. Okay, you know what's
for dinner, right, If itdoesn't affect you, you can ignore it.
Well, on our way to dinnerafter a robbery, a person decided
to open fire on our vehicle andshot into our car over ten times,
strutting and killing my nine year oldniece. Since then we had to take
(40:57):
a crash course on the criminal justicesystem and what things were the way they
were, who is to blame andwho was allowing this to happen? And
here we are. We learned thatwe have a climate that basically, if
you're a criminal, you get spitout. The police officers are doing,
you know, what they can,but the judicial system is just sitting out
(41:19):
criminal's lesson right, and there's noaccountability April. Why why crime is paying
right now? Why not commit crime? I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry
that happened to you, but I'mglad that you're on our side, and
I'm grateful for the hard work thatyou do. That'd say it for like
