Americans would rather live short, healthylives than live long and be sick,
according to a new poll. Evidentlyour presidential candidates feel differently. Thanks

the I know this is going tosound like a rerun, but it's not,
cause it's it's May. It's twentytwenty four, and we've just learned
that a judge, an outside judgefrom Bear County, stepped in and said,
yeah, it looks like something reallyreally weird happened in a local election
in Harris County in twenty twenty two. You have to do the election all
over again. You heard that correctly, folks, No, not the whole

election. We'll give you the details. Hang around before we get to any
of that people are talking about anotherelection, the one in November. I'm
obviously getting a little more media attentionthan the twenty twenty two local election in
Harris County. The national presidential electionin November, we'll probably have at least
one debate, or will it.I have a lot of friends that predict

it won't. But for whatever it'sworth, it's not going to be a
debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. It won't be. It'll be a
debate with Donald Trump, but theperson he'll be debating is going to be
Jake Tapper and to a lesser extent, Dana Bash. If you look back
on the history of presidential debates overthe past couple decades, one thing is
abundantly clear. It's not generally skewedto the right. The debate, moderators,

the landscape, the environment where theyhave these debates generally not pro conservative,
pro Republican. I offer the MittRomney, Candy Crowley Barack Obama debate
as evidence to my point there forthose that don't remember, back in twenty
twelve, there was famously a debatebetween the incumbent president, Barackosaint Obama and
Mitt Romney. Not my favorite Republican. But in that debate, Candy Crowley,

the moderator, basically stepped in andstarted helping out Barack Obama. Everybody
remembers that. It's a famous moment. I'm not going to play the audio,
not going to waste your time thisafternoon. You all remember. If
you don't remember, go look itup, watch it on YouTube or rumble
or something like that. But allthat being said, knowing how skewed things
are, knowing how biased, howgenerally left, the leftist slant, if

you will, that occurs on theBipartisan Debate Commission, one would assume that
if anybody had a problem with theDebate Commission being involved in the next debate,
it would be Donald Trump. DonaldTrump would be right to be critical
of the so called Bipartisan Debate Commission. Amazingly, it's not Donald Trump that

doesn't want them involved. It's Joe. Joe Biden does not want the Debate
Committee. He has his own rules. You can't interrupt me, you can't
you know, no audience present.It has to be on CNN. So
Jake and Trump agreed, and noRFK Junior Biden knows full well if RFK
Junior is there, it's going tohurt his poll numbers. Now, for

the record, if RFK Junior isthere, it's going to hurt everybody in
America because his his voice is justpainful to listen to. But okay,
fine, no RFK Junior. Thedebate will be moderated by Jake Tapper.
Who is Jake Tapper? By theway, you remember last year there was
a day when Donald Trump was inMiami and he stopped at a Cuban restaurant
after pleading not guilty to all thosefederal charges pertaining to classified documents. Just

this week we learned that those classifieddocuments were a props created by the FBI
and b the whole case has beendropped or suspended indefinitely. Why is it
suspended? Well, among other things, the FBI actually placed props fake cover
sheets for the so called classified confidentialdocuments that they photographed and shared with,

among other things, news outlets likeCNN, and that the crimes they were
accusing Donald Trump of committing having classifiedconfidential documents in his personal home, we're
actually things that Joe Biden was doingas well, probably under worst circumstances.
If you consider where Joe had thosedocuments and who was surrounded them. But
the day that that happened, thiswas Jake Tapper's coverage. HEIAUS national security

laws and then obstructing and refusing tocooperate with the FBI. Whatever this spectacle
is that's unfolding before us. Let'sremember what this case is about. Let's
remember what this indictment charges again.Donald Trump is charged with a series of
federal felonies for mishandling the most sensitivegovernment documents that we have and for obstruction

of justice, along with Walt Nauda, who is charged with intentionally setting up
lots to the grand jury, tothe FBI. Anyway you look at this,
and again, despite whatever may begoing on in that restaurant, this
case isn't going to be settled legallyin a cafe. It's going to be
settled in the corporate the facts,the folks in the control room. I
don't need to see any more ofthat. He's trying to turn this and

he's trying to turn it into aspectacle into a campaign. And that's enough
of that. We've seen it already. Let's go over again the thirty seven
charges that Donald Trump is facing.Right now, we don't have to go
into each one. Sure, butEllie, if you could like basic care,

the thirty seven federal charges against Trump, false statements and representations, scheme to

conceal documents, concealing a document ina federal investigation, correctly concealing a documentary
record, with holding a documentar record, conspiracy to obstruct justice, will for
retention of national defense information. JakeTapper and the people on his panel all
agree that Donald Trump will be convictedof this. It'll be settled in a
choir room. He's already guilty,as Jake Tapper's exploded, ETA, what

are what are the allegations here?We have counts one to thirty one.
Those have to do with specific allright, So Jake Tapper thinks that Trump's

Jake Tapper, He's going to bemoderating the debate. There's a report today

on Breitbart dot Com detailing how,after more than three years of historic catastrophes,
anything from the wide open border tothe inflation crisis to the botched Afghanistan
withdrawal, Joe Biden might have finallydone our country a favor by killing off
the repulsive Commission on Presidential Debates.I don't get his motivation here. The

Commission on Presidential Debates is probably goingto help him more than it's going to
hurt him, but he doesn't wanthim involved the corporate media. We're telling
us just earlier this week how certainBiden was that he was winning the twenty
twenty four presidential election, and thenyesterday Biden proved that was a lie with
a desperate attempt to unfreeze the raceby accepting an offer from far left CNN

to host an early debate with Trumpon June twenty seventh. You get why
he wants to debate, right,Biden wants to debate Trump because he's losing.
If Biden was winning, he wouldn'twant a debate Trump. If he
was ahead by ten points, there'dbe no need for him to debate.
And if that wasn't desperate enough,Biden also told the Commission on Presidential Debates

to shove it. He's going todeal with CNN instead of them. He
trusts the credibility of CNN more thanthe non partisan Commission on Presidential Debates.
And frankly, I think it's kindof awesome. It's glorious. It's long
overdue. I would much prefer thefar left super pack we call CNN to

host a presidential debate. I'm notthe only one. Other people have pointed
this out. Allow me to explain. Yes, those who pay attention,
No, the Commission on Presidential Debateshas rigged its oh so respected debates for
decades in favor of the Democrat.Nevertheless, the CPD still carries an unearned

reputation of legitimacy, which is suspiciousat best. And then they get there,
they claim to be legitimate, andthey've earned their legitimacy, which legitimizes

rig a Democrat primary debate between HillaryClinton and Bernie Do you all remember that

They've told a lot of lies,and as far as Jake Tapper goes,

Tapper isn't interested in truth or fairness. Everyone knows Jake Tapper especially not interested

people something really weird happened in theHarris County twenty twenty two elections, somebody
finally agrees with me. Okay,well, I mean, obviously a lot
of tens of thousands of people listento this radio show every week. There's

plenty of people out there that agreewith me. I'm both smart and handsome
and have a very nice voice.But what that actually has authority who matters
agrees with me? And here totell us the story my good friend,
journalist, author, writer, andI think cheesecake enthusiast Holly Hanson. Holly,
what happened? Oh Kenny, youare in good company because Judge People

did agree with you, but notper se. He didn't mention you in
his opinion unfortunately. But yesterday JudgePeople, who's the presiding judge over the
Harris County election contest, ruled inthe last remaining contest that a new election
is warranted due to also problems wesaw in that twenty twenty two general election

here in the statesman's populous county.And what the judge found is that one
thousand and four hundred and thirty illegalvotes were cast in this contest between the
incumbent, Judge DeShawn Jones, we'vetalked a lot about on this show,
I think, and in other venues, and his Republican challenger, Handy Peers,

(18:00):
and so he said, you know, we need to have a new
election. He also awarded this isPeers sixty five thousand dollars in attorney sees
due to frivolous actions that delayed thecase. Last year, the defendant,
DeShawn Jones, filed in what wecall an anti slap motion to dismiss and

(18:26):
basically it was arguing that this lawsuitinfringed on his First Amendment rights to participate
and to engage in free speech.The judge didn't take very kindly to that
motion. He dismissed it as beingfrivolous and intended solely to delay. That
went up to an appeals court,and it took some time to get a

(18:48):
ruling out of the appeals court,but they mostly agreed with Judge Peoples that
the case could not be dismissed.Now that Judge Peoples has issued his ruling,
it sounds like DeShawn Jones is goingto go ahead and appeal again to
try to get the appeal Scort totake another look at this case. But
with that margin of votes that werefound to be illegal, along with a

set of several hundred votes that werecast in what we call after hours voting
in what was a very chaotic electionday in twenty twenty two, some of
those are also invalid and should notbe included in the count. And so
in this case, we do havea new election possibly in the books this

year. Okay, So let's backup just a minute here. There's a
lot of to unpack here. Youand I both know there was a lot
of suspicious things that happened on thatelection day, right poll's opening, Paul's
closing early, multiple lawsuits throughout theday about polls not being open on time,
not having enough workers, and onecity stafford died of electrocution where they

had to shut down an entire pollinglocation, not enough paper ballots, not
enough ink in all of the conservativeparts of town. And yet, amazingly,
none of the stuff I just saidactually had anything to do with the
judge's opinion, did it. That'scorrect, and it was a wild day.
Those of us in the media werejust scrambling to try to cover all

of the developments that happened that day. But the one thing that did play
into this was the fact that HarrisCounty filed that lawsuit or people filed lawsuits
to try to keep the polls openlonger, and a local district court judge
allowed that to happen. That waslater stayed by the Supreme Court of Texas
and those ballots were set aside.So that is part of the chaos that

contributed to this decision. But you'reright what the judge found and what did
Timmy Pearce's attorney, Paul Simpson presented, is that there were actually illegally cast
ballots by people who were not entitledto vote in the county for one reason
or another, that maybe were ina different jurisdiction, they didn't have valid
registrations and worse, But, asthe saying goes, mistakes were made,

and there were quite a few ofthem. I'm sorry. Back up for
a minute. Tammy's lawyer is aguy named Paul Simpson. Boy, that
sounds familiar. He's a former HarrisCounty Republican party chair and an attorney.
I thought that sounded familiar. PaulSimpson husband, dad, brother, conservative

activist, political junkie, lawyer,engineer, racketball survivor in New Orleans native
Paul Simpson, who moved to Houstonand took over the local Harrison County party
years back. Sounds like you mayknow mister Simpson. Yeah, he's been
around in Houston Harris County politics forsome time. But yes, he was
working to defend or to help TammyPears in this particular case. Unfortunately,

a lot of people accused the Simpsonand Tammy Pearce of being sore losers and
election deniers, but they stuck toit and kept fighting this case all the
way grew into have a decision thathopefully will end up in a new election.
Okay, so a lot of peoplehave accused them of being election deniers

at sore losers. They also accusedjust about every other Republican candidate of twenty
twenty two, including our good friendAlex Mueller, of being those things.
But at the end of the day, there's a pretty good argument to be
made here that some weird stuff happenedon election Day. Everybody knows it.
But even this, I mean,even the smug journalists that the Houston Chronicles

seem to admit that, but itdoesn't stop them from throwing stones and repeating
the leftist talking points that Lena Hidalgo'soffice seems to be writing for them.
Yeah, they It does seem likesome of others in the media thrown shade
at these candidates. The fortunate thingis there really is no other recourse when
you have an election that is allegedlybotched, like Harris Counties in twenty twenty

two. There's even a Texas Secretaryof State preliminary audit report that found the
Harris County violated the state law code, and Senator Paul betten Gourd out of
Houston has introduced new legislation that passedlast year that returned Harris County elections and
management back to a couple of electedofficials, but has also set a kind

of process in place if they continueto batch elections that would allow the Secretary
of State's office to assign a stateconservator to oversee the elections. So,
you know, even though it wasthe pretty fraught day that day in November
twenty twenty two, there have beensome legislative actions to try to address the
problem. But you know, thereis this delay. I mean, this

was more than two years ago,and it took all this time, and
with appeals on the table and theslowness of the legal system, we just
don't know when or if a newelection will take place again, you know,
two and a half years later.A right when I hear that there's

a feud going on over contested electionresults between a white lady named Tammy and
a black guy named DeShawn, I'mpretty sure I know who the liberal media
which side they're going to take,regardless of party background. Here, well,
I can't speak to that. Youcan't tell, Holly, you can
too, and you know you wantto. There's a white lady named Tammy,

there's a black guy named DeShawn.How's the Houston Chronicle going to explain
this feud? Go ahead? Well, you know, and I don't know,
you know, some to the writersover there to portray that. But
you know, we've talked about DeShawnJones quite a lot. He's one of
the criminal district court judges that veryoften has released violent repeat offenders on low

bond or pr bonds. And whenhe was first elected, he actually said
that he only anticipated serving one termbecause he quote plan to piss off a
lot of people. He is areformer when it comes to criminal justice,
you know, as not a fanof any kind of pre trial detention,

even when we're talking about some somefairly dangerous people, dangerous suspects. Yeah.
Interesting that the very people that he'sletting out on the the very people
he's letting out on the street,are endangering the lives of the people that
are voting for him, which isjust incredible to me, Holly, And
it is incredible. And you know, and here in this area we're talking

a lot about crime and crime statistics, especially with those revelations that came out
of the Houston Police Department earlier thisyear that led to the resignation of the
police chief where they were suspending investigationsof reported cases because they said they didn't
have enough personnel. And now theentire you know, crime data over the

past you know, I don't knowall the eight years or so is being
called into question because you know,we had last year. The mayor is
saying that crime is down, andthe police chief also supporting that narrative.
But the residence of the area saythat their perception is very different, mostly

based on what they see and experienceon a daily basis in this area.
Hey, Holly, I know sometimesit feels like you and I are running
on a treadmill here in the conservativemedia pointing out all the bad things that
happen. But once in a while, something that we report on actually does
get through to people. You know, you spent a lot of time talking
about twenty twenty two elections. Nowsomething's actually happening in the courts. You

know, It's not as much aswe would have hoped, but it's still
great. Similarly, yesterday on theshow Tony Ortiz from Current Revolt was here
and we reported on a website hostedby Texas A and M, the publicly
funded state university, at a websiteto help assist illegal immigrants traveling through this
date of Texas to find housing,mush, migrant shelters, food, that

sort of thing. Yesterday we talkedabout it on this radio show. We
posted it up online. It wentviral. Texas A and M has quietly
removed their illegal immigrant assistance website overnight. We welc up to that news this
morning. That's kind of cool,isn't it. I think that is pretty
cool, you know. I meanit's frustrating, I think for a lot
of taxpayers when they see that theinstitutions they pay into are doing things to

assist those who are not in thecountry properly. And you know, there's
a lot of concerns about the levelsof illegal immigration. We've seen people crossing
the border unvetted. You know,some of them not only are the known
criminals, known offenders or suspects andcrimes, a lot of them are bringing

through, you know, for along time, diseases and there's you know,
great health risks, there's human trafficking, drug trafficking. It's a very
chaotic situation. So when you see, you know, your one of your
taxpayer funded entities assisting those people insteadof helping try to get control of the
situation for the public safety of everyoneinvolved, it's incredibly frustrating. So yeah,

great job. Well you got toenjoy these victories when you get them,
because as you and I both know, even though we're often right,
we don't often win, do we. And well, you know, yeah,
you got to keep fighting now,you know it is you said,
treadmill. Sometimes you know, itfeels like you're just you know, swimming
