Giganic government sucks. The suit ofhappiness radio is DeLux. Liberty and freedom
will make you smile. A suitof happen and us on your radio tol
justice, cheeseburgers, living it Rise. Experts say women are more likely to

(00:28):
live to be one hundred than men, unless they get lippy with p Diddy,
then probably not. Hi. I'mKenny Webster. Thanks so much for
turning on your radio day. It'sfantastic to be here with you. We
got a lot on the show thisafternoon. It's the fastest hour of radio
in talk radio. And a goodfriend of mine is going to be stopping
by. Brandon Waltons is here fromtexascorecard dot com. I don't know if

(00:50):
y'all have heard. There's a conventionthis weekend, and I guess it's the
republic The Republican Party of Texas ishaving their convention. We're gonna tell you
a little bit about what to expectto what is going to be going down
there. Should be pretty great anyway. Stick around for that. But in
the meantime, today Donald Trump isoff from his trial. The trial's not
going on today, so that, you know, probably for the best,

(01:11):
because yesterday the okay, tomorrow's Wednesday, So tomorrow they would have already been
off. But the Donald Trump hushmoney circus might have just imploded. Yesterday.
Townhall dot com today reporting on theformer president's attorney Michael Cohen, an
already uncredible witness, admitting a crimewas committed. We finally have evidence of

(01:36):
a crime. Perhaps you've heard hestole about thirty thousand dollars from the Trump
organization. Amazingly, this was notrevealed ever until yesterday. And this is
the first admission of any crime duringthe entire trial that we could prove was
committed. This man is the prosecution'stop witness. He's admitted to committing crimes.

(01:59):
The guys a serial liar. Sowhile District Attorney Alvin Bragg rested his
case, it circles back to howthis trial was executed. A lot of
people have pointed out the dangers ofhaving Michael Cohen as the main witness and
how they presented their case. Now, the man Bragg and his team are

(02:21):
hoping to convict Trump just admitted toembezzlement. It's kind of a big issue.
I mean, I would think so. Turns out on MSNBC they don't
agree, Lauren so'donnell, you knowwho that is. He kind of looks
like a lesbian. But then theyall kind of do show that any crime
committed in that pursuit is fine.Regarding getting Trump. It's okay to steal

(02:42):
money as long as you're stealing itfrom Trump. According to one of MSNBC's
top primetime TV personalities, inside theCore room, even there, almost every
day, you have the strength ofbeyond mortal men. But what was what
was worth it to you today? What did you see? What you hear?
So strong? Just a strong, brave guy. Goad. Well,

(03:04):
you know, the courtroom is whereI began as a writer and a reporter
a long time ago. So thisis a homecoming for me in terms of
a workplace. Before he even makeshis point, they've been talking for thirty
seconds. Just to blow smoke upLaurrence O'Donnell's rear end, What don't you
just hate everyone on MSNBC. Okay, here's the point. I'm trying to
make play the sound the shocking thingat the end of that cross examination.

(03:27):
And I just can't tell you howjust how stunning it was, because it's
the thing that I was waiting forI saw everything Todd blanche. I've seen
every minute of cross examination, seenevery single question he's asked, and he
sat down and ended his cross examinationwithout asking a single question about the one
hundred and thirty thousand dollars that appearson the Alan Weiselberg notes about how they

(03:55):
were structuring the payment to Michael Cohen. Here's what's amazing about this, guys,
we live in two different worlds asliberals Emmett, you hear what you
just hear what you just heard thereMSNBC as a guest. They're shocked that
the defense did not ask Michael Cohenanything about the payments he made to Stormy
Daniels. Why would they. Hedidn't present any evidence that the payments were

(04:17):
connected to Donald Trump, or,more importantly, the whole point of this
whole thing that the payments were supposedto be made in an effort to sway
the election towards Trump. That wasthe whole point of this. The whole
point of the hush money trial isthat it was a political donation and not
money he was simply spending to protecthis wife's feelings or his own reputation.

(04:39):
That the only reason he spent thismoney was so he could be president,
and that was it, and thereforeit qualifies as a political donation, and
you can't donate that much money ina political campaign. That's the point they're
trying to make. Lawrence o'donald's shockedby this, But what he says next
is really the reason I'm playing thissound bite. He asked about the fifty

(05:00):
thousand dollars that's irrelevant to the onehundred and thirty thousand dollars, and that's
where he very effectively got Michael Cohento say to agree that yes, he
stole thirty thousand dollars. Later, when Cohen was asked about that on redirect
by the prosecution, it didn't reallysound like stealing thirty thousand dollars. It
sounded a lot like Michael Cohen doingthe little that he could within that calculation

(05:26):
to rebalance the bonus Sea thought hedeserves, and it still came out as
less than the bonus Sea thought hedeserved. Them. Guys, this is
amazing. Do you hear what he'sdoing right now? It's okay that he
stole forty thousand dollars because he wasowed a bonus by Donald Trump. You
know it gets even worse when CNN'sEli Hoenig, a former assistant US attorney,

(05:47):
said that what Cohen just admitted tois a far worse crime than what
Donald Trump is accused of. Ithink the revelation though this morning about the
theft of thirty thousand dollars, whichwas double because they covered it taxes,
so sixty thousand dollars, it cameout in a glancing, unclear way on
direct It came out like a bombearlier today. I don't know how much

(06:09):
they can do to fix that.It just at a certain point, it
is the fact Michael Cohen did stealthis money. And what makes that really
so important, Wolf is it's notas if Michael Cohen was just stealing on
the side, that'd be bad enough. The problem is he was stealing from
the exact reimbursement at issue in thiscase. So the prosecution's core argument is
Donald Trump knew what that four hundredand twenty thousand dollars was all about.

(06:30):
He was totally read in on.It turns out Michael Cohen was stealing from
him within that four hundred twenty thousand. Wow, okay, okay, look
what's happening in Manhattan. Is whywe don't have political trials in this country.
It's messy. No one can getan impartial jury. It's a total
shamble. Though the conviction is stillon the table despite this case falling apart

(06:53):
since the jury pool has tainted. It was a complete disaster. Prosecutors built
a case around serial perjurer and nowadmitted the guy's an embezzler. He admitted
he was embezzler about the veracity ofTrump's business records. I gotta think this
is not a big win for theleft, and at the end of the
day, whoever the president is isprobably still going to be chosen at a

(07:17):
polling place and not in a courtroom. Thank god he's This is Kenny Webster's
pursuit of happiness on KPRC nine pfifty, Houston scientists detected microplastics in human

(07:40):
testicles. Wow, thank god Ino longer have a pair, responded Travis
Kelcey, welcome back. I wasjust sitting here looking at what's going on
with polling numbers around America and whatjust took place with the trial against Trump,
and how this has affected the fundraising for these two political candidates,

(08:01):
Donald Trump and Joe Biden, respectively. There's a report today from Leah Barkakis
and she points out how it's actuallyquite remarkable the Trump's April fundraising numbers have
suddenly shot up past Joe's for quitea while here. In fact, in
almost any election, the Democrats moreoften than not seem to outfundraise the Republicans,

(08:26):
especially in a swing state or anational election. Very rarely do you
see the Republican's outfundraise the Democrats. But Trump's campaign just surpassed Biden's political operation
in April fundraising. Biden's campaign andthe DNC and their joint fundraising committees brought

(08:46):
in fifty one million. Trump's campaignin the Republican Party brought in seventy six
million. First time that's ever happened. Trump and the RNC significantly outraised Biden.
And by the way, they pointout here that this was a lot
of small dollar donations. You know, it's not surprising when the Democrat Party

(09:07):
out fundraises the Republican Party because there'sa handful of billionaires in Silicon Valley that
are spending money like its water totry to flip the country, push the
country farther to the left. Trump'sfundraising hall over Joe and the Democrats is
especially remarkable when you consider he's beenin a courtroom for about nine hours a

(09:30):
day over the past four weeks. So you'll have to ask yourself, is
that part of the reason why he'ssuddenly more popular. These latest figures show
Biden still has a cash advantage, but Trump and the GOP may be closing
the gap. The Biden campaign reportedending the month with one hundred and ninety

(09:50):
two million dollars, but they're notbringing in the kind of money Trump's bring
it in. What exactly is happeninghere? Could it be possible that America
looked at the Trump trial and said, Yeah, this isn't fair. What
the Democrats are doing is obviously worse. We're getting ready now for the first

(10:15):
debate. They claim it's supposed tohappen in June. Who knows if that's
true. Jake Tapper is supposed tomoderate it with Dana Bash. I bet
you love those two. If youeven know, you don't probably don't watch
CNN. You probably know who JakeTapper is, right. Dana is a
woman from CNN who works with Jake, and the two of them are supposed
to be impartial. They're supposed tobe people that you could trust to moderate

(10:39):
a debate between Republican Donald Trump andDemocrat Joe Biden, and you're supposed to
believe they're not going to try tohelp Joe. One thing they'll definitely be
asking a question about is whether ornot Donald Trump will accept the results of
the election. You know that questionis going to get asked. But the

(11:03):
problem is, as Derek Hunter recentlypointed out, Democrats just can't tell the
truth about anything. When reality doesyou know favors that should tell you something,
shouldn't it? To Democrats, itdoesn't tell them anything. They are,
after all, the people who createdthe concept of quote unquote my truth.
Have you ever heard that expression before? My truth? Do you hear

(11:24):
a lot of Republicans say my truth? I need to state my truth.
I'm here to I'm here to expressmy truth. What's my truth? What
is my truth? There's no mytruth or your truth, It's just the
truth. Anybody using sentences like mytruth and other such hippie nonsense, people
that use to justify their mistakes andselfish actions need to be silenced. So

(11:46):
it makes sense that so much ofwhat they insist on and push regularly against
Trump would fit neatly into that package. Quote unquote my truth. If Trump
or even half of the monster theymake him out to be, they wouldn't
have to lie about it. Theycould simply just say here's exactly what he
said or did, and that wouldbe enough. It's not enough. It's

(12:07):
never enough, because the truth aboutwhat Trump said or did is never what
the left portrays it to be.A fine example of this occurred over the
weekend. You guys, watch Meetthe Press. Meet the Press has been
around for a while. You probablyhaven't watched it. It used to be
hosted by Chuck Todd. It's nolonger hosted by him. The new host

(12:28):
is Kristin Welker, and she isdetermined to be the bell of the ball
at the NBC News Christmas Party,I'm sorry, holiday party. They would
never call it a Christmas party. That would be much too divisive, right,
So Welker, fresh off launching thefirst attack in the battle to keep
Roni McDaniel and her dissenting opinions offthe network. You remember that she's still

(12:50):
quite upset about that. By theway, In what was supposed to be
an interview with Florida Senator Marco Rubio. She badgered him over damn near everything.
I've never really seen Welker interview before. I've never seen her interview a
Democrat aggressively, you know, likethe way that she just interviewed Marco Rubio.

(13:11):
But in Welker's defense of Democrats, she mentions and insists, really that
Donald Trump never conceded the twenty twentyelection. Not only is this not true,
it's unclear how this matter, howit would matter if it was How
would that even matter if it wastrue. Did Trump deliver a speech declaring
he'd lost the twenty twenty election? He did not. Does that have any

(13:33):
bearing on anything related to the transitionof power? No, none at all.
He left the White House, andhe did so voluntarily. There was
no attempt to stay. There wasonly a fight to challenge the unlawful actions
of Democrats. When those options wereexhausted, he left. And this reality
is always dismissed by the left,by liberals because it's inconvenient. Most of

(13:58):
reality is treated the same way byfor the same reason. Does a concession
speech really matter? It doesn't.Stacy Abrams never conceded the governor's race in
Georgia in twenty eighteen. She spentfour years saying that she'd won and she
was the victim of racism. Neveronce was she called out for it by
those people on cable news, interviewers, politicians. They all agreed she was

(14:22):
robbed right up until she had herrear end handed to her again in a
rematch. There is no eye lostform candidates have to fill out to make
the lass official. That's not howpolitics works. Leftists in the media insist
this is somehow a threat to democracy. At most, it's a threat to

(14:43):
decorum. Who cares Decorum was torpedoedby Democrats calling everyone they dislike a Nazi
and comparing Trump to Hitler. Decorumwas destroyed by their collective efforts to declare
the Russian hoax to be real andreported as such. Decorum was wiped out
like cocaine at the Biden family reunionwhen Joe Biden lied repeatedly and is occasionally

(15:05):
fact checked, but not really andcertainly not in real time by someone interviewing
him. So, Kristen Welker isthe new host of Meet the Press,
But the press you meet, ifyou watch it, is still the same
garbage media, you can't help butsmile over when you hear about an outlet
going out of business, and like, I don't I don't take any pride

(15:26):
in people losing their jobs, butthat these things happen from time to time.
And it's hard to feel bad forthe liberals in the liberal media when
they lose their jobs, especially whenthey do things like this to Marco Rubio
play creation. If re elected,Donald Trump has said he's willing to build
migrant detention camps and deploy the USmilitary to deport the more than eleven million

(15:48):
undocumented immigrants in this country. Itwould be the largest deportation operation in American
history. Do you support that plan? Eleven million? That's an outdate.
That was the number ten years ago. We're talking upwards of twenty twenty five,
maybe thirty million. There's been almostten million people that have entered these
country in law for me in thelast three years. Question, would you
say the number varies big time?I mean it's another nine to ten million

(16:11):
people just in the last three years. The answer to your question is,
yes, we cannot absorb twenty fivethirty million people who entered this country illegally.
They're here illegally. What country onEarth would tolerate that. We don't
even know who some of these mostof these people are. They talk about
vetting, vetting them with what they'recoming from, nations that don't even have
document systems. In many cases,Yes, we're going to have to do
something. Unfortunately, we're going tohave to do something dramatic to remove people

(16:33):
from this country that are here illegally, especially people we know nothing about.
But ten million, eleven million, that was the number fifteen years ago.
Today it's upwards of probably twenty fiveto thirty million, maybe more. Will
you accept the election results of twentytwenty four, no matter what happened,
Senator, No matter what happens. No, it's an unfair election. I
think it's going to be testified inside, Senator, no matter. I think

(16:56):
you're asking the wrong person. TheDemocrats are the ones that have opposed every
republic victory since two thousand, everysingle one. It's Hillary Democrat has refused
to concede. Hillary Clinton conceded,Senator, will you accept the election with?
Hillary Clinton said the election was stolenfrom her and that Trump was a
legitimate Kamala Harris agreed. We haveDemocrats election Senator, she could see the
election. She said said that. She said that no, she said that

(17:18):
Trump was illegitimate. She said thatthe election had been stolen. Kamala Harris
agreed. By the way, thereare Democrats serving in Congress today who in
two thousand and four voted not tocertify the Ohio electors because they said those
machines have been tampered with. Andyou have Democrats now saying they won't certify
twenty twenty four because Trump is aninsurrection. It's been ineligible to hold office.

(17:40):
So you need to ask them.I think you've had a I never
asked the democratic question on the show. I bet you you've never asked the
Democrat that question. I beg youyou never realized Marco Rubio ed balls before
any He handled himself pretty well there. And when you have places like Georgia
where liberal groups you're supposedly paying peopleten dollars to go vote, I think
people are trying to undermine all elections. What undermines elections is when NBC News

(18:03):
and every other major news outlet inAmerica back in twenty twenty censored the Joe
Biden laptop story. Excuse me,Hunter Biden, same thing, says Son.
That's what undermined an election when youhad people from the FBI and the
CIA going out trying to censor anews story. I think that's what undermines
an election. You think Kristin Welkerwill do a story about that. Are

(18:23):
I'm listening to Pursuit of Fat.This is Kenny Webster's Pursuit of Happiness on
KPRC nine fifty Houston. Do youdo you miss Red Lobster yet? And

(18:45):
then unbelievable. Okay, they're notall closed yet, but they certainly are
shutting down around the country, includinghere in Texas. Yeah, biden Omics
has affected the economy here in Texasquite a bit. People are suffering right
now in the lone Star state. The economy is not amazing. This weekend,
Memorial Day weekend, your weekend roadtrip plan is that normally would have

(19:10):
been a marginal expense for you areprobably costing you a lot of money.
I just posted something up now longago to our morning show's Facebook page,
the Walton and Johnson facebook page, and it was talking about how bad things
are with inflation right now. Listento this pre inflation the McChicken at McDonald's

(19:30):
a buck seventy nine, No,a buck twenty nine, now three eighty
nine. Good lord, it's atwo hundred percent increase. Meanwhile, over
there at Taco Bell, the fivelayer burrito was a buck sixty nine back
before Biden. Now it's three sixtynine. And then here's a crazy one
eight Chick fil A nuggets. EightChick fil A nuggets were three bucks,

(19:53):
now they's six. Do the math, kids. I got to imagine this
weekend, Memorial Day weekend, ifyou're driving out to San Antonio for the
Republican Party of Texas State Convention, this is going to be a topic people
will be discussing quite a bit, among other things, immigration, crime,

(20:14):
gun control. Here to give ussome weekend predictions for what to expect at
the Republican Party of Texas State Convention. Brandon Waltons of Texas Scorecard, Brandon,
what you're attending the convention this weekend? I assume absolutely. Yeah.
We're going to be there starting tomorrowthrough Saturday. Okay, s So it
should be a good time. There'ssome rule that says it has to be

(20:37):
this weekend, and this weekend isMemorial Day weekend. Is that just a
coincidence? Yeah, it's sort ofunfortunate. I know, there's a lot
to do with the calendar about whensome of the business has to be done.
For example, you're like nominating electorsto the Electoral College. You know
that has to be done by acertain date, and so unfortunately it is

(21:00):
on Memorial Day weekend. But Iguess the good news there is that Dougants
might get a little extra time offwork to be able to pend. Yeah,
I guess there's that, right,And then this weekend the big drama
at the state convention has got tobe Dade Fahalin, the Texas House Speaker,
is probably on his way out thedoor. Early voting started yesterday.

(21:22):
Primary runoffs happening right now. Igot to think there's nothing bigger than getting
rid of drunk Dad. Yeah.I mean, you've got like a dozen
of these runoff elections across the statefor the Texas House as well as one
for the Texas Senate. But nomore attention has part than put on any
of these races than in how Sistertwenty one. That's in Southeast Texas,

(21:44):
Beaumont. That's where Dade Feeling isrunning for not only his speakership really,
but but just his seat in general. Back in March, he came in
second to David Tubby, who isthe former Orange County chairman of the Republican
Party up therebody who has a lotof ties to the grassroots. His family
is definitely definitely well liked up thereamong conservatives. He actually came in first

(22:11):
place in the primary in March,or he didn't get over fifty percent.
And so in Texas we have runoffelections between the top two candidates. And
so now you've got you've got DavidCovey against Date Feeling, and you know,
we rarely, you rarely see anythinglike this. I mean literally,
the last time a speaker was ina runoff election was fifty years ago,

(22:32):
got speaker loss, by the way, and so this, this never happens,
and so it's very very unique. There's been a lot of money obviously
pouring in. I mean I'm literallyI'm going through date Feeling's finance reports right
now and very very long. Alot about of state money, of course,
but ultimately the only people that matter, the people that get out and

(22:53):
vote. This week is early votingMonday through Friday, and then election day
is on Tuesday. Next Tuesday,a week from today, May twenty eight.
All right, so this is goingdown at the Henry B. Gonzalez
Convention Center. I'm guessing the closesthotel there would be what the Grand Hyatt,
the Hilton, the Omni. Yeah, I think there's a there's a

(23:15):
few kind of around that area.Which one? Which hotel are you guys
staying at? I don't mean toout you on the air. Are you
staying at the hotel most people areat? Uh? You know, I'm
actually I'm actually not sure. Ihaven't I haven't checked my you know yet,
I'm not sure where we're staying.I know that we have rooms.
I hope we do. It looksit looks like the Hilton downtown in San
Antonio is the closest place. Doyou think somebody has contacted the hotel staff

(23:41):
there to tell them that the inroom bar for Dad Feeling probably needs a
little extra booze this year? Yeah. I would be very very surprised if
I saw Date Feeling anywhere near theRepublican Party of Texas convention. Uh.
It's it's it's funny to think about, but I mean, I think I
think people kind of forget, youknow, Date fewing has literally been censured

(24:03):
by the Republican Party of Texas, like the actual Texas Republican Party has been
empowered to spend money campaigning against him. This just tells you anything about how
out of touch he is with withconservatives in the state. All Right,
two years ago, it was inHouston. I was there, and I
vividly, I vividly remember Senator JohnCornyn, on the heels of just passing

(24:26):
a gun control bill, was booedat his own state convention. Do you
think that anybody does this happen anywhereelse in America where a state political party
will boo their own elected officials attheir state convention. Well, when they're
when they're John Cornyon, and whenthere's somebody who's worked with Democrats to support
gun control measures in the Senate, then you know, I think they have

(24:49):
it coming. The question that alot of people are talking about, and
I'm not actually sure, is whetheror not John Cornant is going to come
again this time to week. I'lltell you this, he got really loudly
booed to years ago. But I'veseen him speak four years ago and six
years ago at some of the otherconventions, and he's never exactly received a
warm, warm welcome from my memory. Okay, let's just let's be objective

(25:14):
for a minute. Okay, thebest candidate for the Republican Party is the
most conservative candidate who can win.The problem with John Cornyn is that because
Ted Cruz, who is very conservativeand even considered somewhat unlikable to non Republicans,
has been elected, is proof thatJohn Cornyn is not the most conservative

(25:37):
candidate we could have elected for thatposition. Same could be said of Dade
Falen. You don't think Dad Faleneven shows up at the state convention.
That's your prediction. Oh, there'sno way, there's no way you will
be there. Interesting and now andalso not in attendance there the casino funded
super packs spending big money to helphim and some of his allies out in

(26:02):
this primary runoff. That's an interestingplace to be getting money from the Las
Vegas Sands casino group. This iskind of the opposite of what we've in
the past. A lot of Republicanlawmakers have been paid off by out of
state casino lobbyists because they don't wantgambling in Texas. But now it's going
the other way. Yeah, exactly, And regardless of whatever you think about

(26:23):
whether or not Texas should bring casinosin the state. It is interesting to
note that they're pouring a lot ofmoney in here. Miriam Adelson, who
is the head of the Las VegasSands Group, just started a pack earlier
this month, a few weeks agocalled the Texas Defense Pack and poured nine
million dollars into it. And it'sspending for date feeling, but as well

(26:45):
as some of these other incumbents thathave been forced in to run off.
And so just kind of an interestingpoint that on one hand they're spending this
money. On the other hand, though it's never it's never, you know,
you're never getting a mailer that asfrom the Las Vegas Castans Group,
right, It's always it's always somename like the Texas Defense Pack. Interesting.

(27:07):
Okay. So, in addition tothe economy, the broken economy,
Dade fail in the Ken Paxton, all the different stuff that's happened in between
now and the last convention, Igotta think immigration would be the other topic
that is high on everyone's mind.Yes, immigrati is constantly a topic that
no matter where you are in thestate, and no matter where you are

(27:30):
really in the country is always atop issue for people, especially when you
see stories like we saw this week. You had literally a Star County District
Attorney's office employee, Star County isdown kind of near McAllen in South Texas
on the border, finally being pleadingguilty to charges of humans smuggling, you

(27:52):
know, dealing with illegal aliens,et cetera. These are very, very
troubling things. But there's just onestory we had yesterday. But you see
stories just every day about how badthe problem has to come in Texas.
So, no doubt is going tobe top of mind. I'd expect that
this will continue to be a priorityfor the party. They set those legislative
priorities at the convention too, Iwould expect that this would likely be one

(28:15):
of the top priorities of the partygoing into the next session. Question for
you about life along the But you'vebeen down to the border, You've been
to different places there as a journalist, right, sure, Okay. One
place that I was at over theweekend was Marfa, Texas. I took
a road trip. I had acouple days off from work. My co
host was up in Oklahoma. They'redoing a softball thing, so I thought,
all right, I'm going to goout to Marfa. I haven't been

(28:36):
there in years, haven't been theresince before the pandemic, And interestingly enough,
since before the pandemic, the population'sgone down in Marfa. Now,
Marfa is supposed to be the hip, cool place out in West Texas where
New Yorkers and people from Hollywood goon vacation to the art capital of Texas.
I was amazed to find out it'ssuffering. Did you know that Brandon

(28:59):
economic either people are not moving there, They're not going there as much as
they were. I wonder if partof the reason why that's true. Apparently
a handful of lawyers from Austin andHouston bought up the land around the town
of Marfa. They're sitting on it. They won't sell it, and it's
almost become too expensive for anybody elseto invest in it or go there or
get involved. I kind of wonderif, like liberal investors in Marfa have

(29:23):
shot themselves in the foot. Iknow this is purely speculation and it's totally
anecdotal, but what do you attributethat to? Very very, very possible.
I mean, I've driven through Marfaonce back in back in December,
and you know, it's obviously alwaysbeen a small town. This is a
part of the appeal, right,But you know, from what I have

(29:47):
heard, you're not the first personwho's told me that. Unfortunately, business
has sort of slowed there over thelast couple of years. And it's hard
not to imagine that it's not tiedto to a lot of the issues we've
had along the border. I mean, Marfa's not right on the board,
but it certainly in that area. There's a place in downtown Marfa called the
Ann Foundation Ayn Iron Foundation. It'sa group from New York, right,

(30:11):
because of course it is. Andthey have two permanent exhibits there. One
of them is the Andy Warhol LastSupper, which is his version of the
and it's a rotating exhibit. Theyhave different versions of the Last Supper.
And then the other thing is thistribute to nine to eleven that a German
painter did where she basically took itlooks like children's paintings of smiley faces with

(30:33):
orange and green and blue, andit looks like a child did it.
And it's supposed to be a tributeto nine to eleven. And when you
go inside, you're not allowed totake a photo of it. Now.
I walked outside and I'm standing therewith a guy with a veteran's hat on.
I didn't know him, and Iknew exactly what he was thinking.
I turn and I look at thisguy, Brandon, and I go,
well, I got to tell you, sir, that's the most interesting nine

(30:55):
to eleven memorial I've ever seen inmy life. And he looks at me
and he goes, I thought itsucked. I was like, this guy
gets it. I don't suppose yousaw that while you were there, did
you. No? I didn't stop. I didn't stop and see that.
But you know, it doesn't surpriseme. That's what you get when you
get New York groups coming in andtrying to add their culture to Texas.

(31:17):
I don't know if that's a goodselling point Marfa, Texas home to the
world's worse nine to eleven memorial, but you know it is a good selling
point. Texas Scorecard a great alternativeto the Houston Chronicle. Go to Texas
scorecard dot com today subscribe to theiremail. It's a short, concise email
they give you every day, chockfull of fantastic information that you can use
to counteract the liberal talking points ofyour useless brother in law. And while

(31:40):
you're at it, following my buddyBrandon Walton's on social media, you're listening
to Pursuit of Happiness radio band inChina, Iran and communist occupied at Austin,
Texas. Judge Reinhold turned sixty seventoday. He'll celebrate with his brothers,

(32:12):
bailiff and court reporter. Don't laughat that's not funny. You don't
laugh at that. Okay, maybeit's a good time to do some Hollywood
news. Is this a spoiled, pappered, narcissistic Hollywood brat or what?
All right? Breitbart dot Com todayreporting on the death of cable TV.

(32:34):
No, hear me out. Thisis a good thing. The Disney Grooming
Syndicate just announced they're going to reducepretty dramatically their investment in linear TV content.
Cable TV satellite TV dying. It'svery good for America. For about
five decades, cable TV is servedas an affirmative action program for left wing
Hollywood, where merit no longer mattered. Multinational studios got paid from cable and

(32:59):
saturd TV no matter what, evenif nobody watched. Instead of making money
off advertising revenue based on the numbersof viewers. What was something we'd call
merit. They were paid based onthe number of people who merely subscribe to
a crappy network. You paid toget Fox News, you paid to get
the Sports network, whatever, butyou also paid for MTV and CNN,

(33:22):
and maybe you didn't watch that stuff. You certainly didn't pay for the Disney
Channel and dozens of other networks thatwere merely available as part of your package.
It's affirmative action. Okay, it'snot like affirmative action when it's government
sponsored, but still, if youwant to know why so much of TV
is awful and insulting and gay anddogmatic, this is why once you remove

(33:44):
merit, Hollywood can insult you allday long, and you'll pay them for
that privilege. Streaming is an entirelydifferent animal. You have to want to
watch the content to subscribe to it. The past five years, Hollywood believed
people would still pay for all awful, insulting, gay, dogmatic programming,
which is why these streaming services lostbillions. Disney alone lost four billion dollars

(34:08):
in just the past few years. And now that's all changing. The loss
of cable TV for the studios cannotbe underestimated. Millions of smart people cancel
the cable every year. They migrateto streaming. Studios like Disney, for
example, lose hundreds of millions ofdollars in free cable TV money. Last

(34:30):
time anyone checked, the Disney Channelwasn't able to attract more than one hundred
thousand viewers. The Walton Johnson Showis probably seven eight nine times as many
viewers listeners as the Disney Channel atviewers, and that doesn't matter when you
are paid off of the number ofpeople with access to the Disney Channel.
If sixty million households have the DisneyChannel, Disney still makes money. They

(34:53):
make thirty sixty million dollars a montha month on a channel nobody watches,
and that doesn't include the money Disneymakes off of a dozen or so other
networks nobody watches. Do the math. We're taking billions of annual dollars for
networks nobody watches, guys. Butas people cancel their cable packages, Disney's

(35:14):
losing a lot of free money, aren't they. The good news is that
it now appears as though we havereached the point we've all been hoping for
the point where all the free moneymade from cable TV isn't enough to make
the cost of producing all that programmingno one watches worth it. Variety reporting
today, Disney CEO Bob Iger saidthe traditional PayTV universe continues to shrink.

(35:37):
The company's cutting its investment in programmingfor linear entertainment cable TV. That's what
they mean. The affirmative action daysof cable TV are coming to an end.
The fascists in leftist Hollywood have toactually produce something someone wants to look
at in order to make a profit. Disney has just laid off seven thousand

(36:00):
people, seven thousand people who hateyou and I. By the way,
what does that leave them with streaming? And what is the only way a
corporation like Disney can make money offstreaming by producing content people actually want to
watch. Change or die, Hollywood, I don't care what they choose personally.

(36:22):
Another report today from the same newsoutlet about the movie Goodfellas, Martin
Scorsese's nineteen ninety masterpiece. Apparently it'soffensive, it has cultural stereotypes about Italians.
Did you know that they're now puttinga warning on the movie on AMC.

(36:43):
This film includes language and or culturalstereotypes that are inconsistent with today's standards
of inclusion and tolerance and may offendsome viewers. I gotta tell you,
guys, I'm a little more thanhalf Italian. I love Goodfellas. To
the simple minded, this might seemharmless, but it's not. What you
have here is a fascist, multinationalcorporation telling you how to interpret and react

(37:06):
to a piece of art. That'snot how art's supposed to work. This
is no different from an art museumhanging up a sign that interprets Mona Lisa's
smile for you. Trigger warnings onart are the only thing that are offensive.
They vandalized, gone with the wind. Now they're doing it to Goodfellas.

(37:27):
One of the many brilliant aspects ofGoodfellas is how it makes us complicit.
Henry hill Raalio to character Right takesus on an outsider's tour of mob
life. We're dazzled, we're intrigued. These guys are cool, they're having
fun, they get chicks, Theymake money. They're not wasting away in
a cubicle, barely staying ahead ofthe monthly bills. They say what they

(37:49):
want, They do what they want. They laugh, they drink, they
play cards. What a fun life. What makes Goodfellas moral is what happens
next when it all comes apart andwe discover these are not run around guys
escaping the rules. They're cold heartedgangsters with no sense of loyalty your friendship.
Goodfellas forces us to come to termswith our complicity and teaches us an

(38:14):
important lesson as that complicity blows upin our faces and the bodies start to
pile up. Henry got sucked intothe glamour. He lost his soul.
You and I got sucked in.But we don't lose our soul because we
never left our house. We're justwatching it on TV. If you are
told upfront that this movie is racistor whatever, then you're pre warned that

(38:35):
these bad guys. You miss thelesson that comes with it, siding with
them being betrayed by their true personas. Goodfellas isn't looking to offend anyone.
It's a teaching tool about the lifeof gangsterism and how it leads to despair.
The Left wants a country full ofhelpless, emotionally stunted, immature babies.

(39:00):
These trigger warnings are very different fromcontent warnings about sex or violence or
swearing. Content warnings don't judge. They're just letting you know you might not
want to show this to your kid. Trigger warnings judge, and judging is
our the viewer's job, not thejob of Hollywood and the sanctimonious elites.

(39:21):
