Speaker 1 (00:00):
John Gannon Government sucks. Suit of Happiness Radio is deluxe.
Liberty and Freedom will make you smile, or a suit
of Habing and Us on your radio, Toyle just as
Cheeseburgers a Libery rise.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
At Starbucks has updated the Barista dress code. I'm sorry
I left out the first part of this attention, Taylor Lorenz.
Starbucks has updated the Barista dress code, so make sure
(00:34):
you get a new outfit before you go to work tomorrow. Hi,
I'm Kenny Webster. Thanks so much for joining us. Guess
who's here today? Me you. That's a pretty good party
to begin with. You and I are pretty cool, I think.
And then in the next segment, this guy named State
Senator Mays Middleton just announced he is running for Attorney General.
I like Mays. I think he's on the right side
of pretty much every argument I've heard from him. He
(00:56):
is considered to be the most conservative person in the
state Senate right now, certainly one of them. And he's
a millennial. He's young, he's a fresh face on the scene.
If it wasn't for him, they might have impeached Ken Paxton.
He's the guy that prevented that whole thing or certainly
one of them. He's gonna be here in the next
segment We're going I'm gonna ask him some tough questions.
I support the guy, but I'm still not gonna go
(01:17):
easy on him just because it's my show and I
like his campaign. Oh, speaking of Daniel Turner will be
here at the in about I don't know forty five minutes.
We'll be talking to him, Daniel Turner from Powerthfuture dot
Com and I are going to look at some of
the funniest soundbites of the week. AOC has a new accent.
Joe Biden was talking about colored kids yesterday in Chicago,
(01:39):
and you know what, let's start the conversation here. We're
gonna talk later on in the show about how the
Senator from Maryland Van van Halen, I jokingly referred to him,
went down to El Salvador today so he can help
free some illegal immigrant criminal gangbangers and bring him back
to America. And when they get here, the very specific
(02:00):
one that he wants brought back, this guy will be
put on trial. It will be revealed that he is
associated with gang members. He did avoid deportation twice. He
has committed felonies, whether it be he'll get his court
time and then he'll get deported again if that happens, right,
And I don't think the Senator of Maryland will have
the ability. Don't get me wrong. I don't think the
(02:20):
Senator of Maryland will have the ability to get this
guy out of prison in Al Salvador and bring him
back to the United States. But hypothetically if he did,
all that would end up happening is we would deport
the guy again. But to the left, to the liberals,
it's very important we vet every illegal immigrant before they
get deported. We really need to vet him, make sure.
(02:41):
That's important. We can't just send him off to some
country that they're supposed to technically be a citizen of
just because they may or may not be associated with
gang mengers in this country. In that odd they want
to vet, hardcore vett all these immigrants before they're deported,
but they don't want to vet him when they're brought
into the country. Why is that judge that's responsible for
(03:01):
this whole thing? Judge Bosburg is targeting Trump officials with
contempt charges for not halting deportation flight Style Salvador mid air.
He's actually pushing for prosecution, which could technically lock up
some Trump officials if it succeeded. I don't think it will.
Biden's DOJ jailed conservatives people like Steve Bannon and Peter
(03:22):
Navarro over the January sixth subpoenas. Navarroll got four months,
but not Merrick Garland despite being in contempt. I'm curious
if Attorney General Pam Blondie and the Republicans in charge
right now are going to allow a Democrat judicial tyrant
to continue on his path of destruction. I'm just curious.
It's an interesting question. I'd like to know the answer
(03:43):
to it. And while we're on that topic, how do
average Americans feel about this? Well? So report today in
Breitbart dot com on the latest Harvard Harris Pole Harvard
University shows Trump's top policy proposals remain wildly popular with
the public. They talked to thousands of registered voters April
ninth to the tenth, so about a week ago. They
found Trump's approval rating was above water by two points
(04:06):
forty eight points approving forty six disapproving. The poll found
that his agenda is embraced by a majority of the public.
This is despite the billions of dollars corporations they're sending
through fake media outlets like CNN and CBS. All they're
trying to do is manipulate the public opinion against the
mag agenda, and weirdly, it is not working. Fantastic to
look at these numbers, guys, Poll after poll, number after
(04:29):
number shows the media really is dead in the water.
The mainstream legacy media doesn't matter anymore. The dates this
poll were taken are worth repeating. April ninth to tenth,
which is when the stock market dipped after Trump imposed
is reciprocal tariffs. This is when the fake media saw
a key opening to coordinate their attacks on Trump after
things like signal Gate failed. Remember the chat conversation jad
(04:53):
Vance was having with Marco Rubio. Obviously, these attacks also failed,
which left the media with only one remaining line of attack,
bizarre and stupid crusade to bring an illegal alien gang
member back to the United States of America. The corporate
media and the Democrats are spiritually and psychologically imploding, and
it's a glorious thing to see. Meanwhile, Trump is the
(05:15):
happy warrior who continues to stack up wins.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
So cool Live from Texas broadcasting across the peoples wee
topic of America, as they say, is purciit of houp It.
Speaker 4 (05:26):
Is Radio with Ken Webstern Junior aka producer Kenny keep
it here.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
This is interesting. Taylor Swift is selling sweaters on the internet.
They're kind of like regular sweaters, but I guess they're
already covered in cat hair. Hi, welcome back from break yesterday.
Really big news here in the state of Texas. A
lot of eyes have turned to the feud between Ken Paxton,
our attorney general, and Senior Senator John Cornyn. John Cornyn,
(05:56):
the senator of the biggest conservative state in America. Obviously
you know who he is. Helped Joe Biden pass a
gun control bill, and so that's a very unpopular thing
that he did. I'm not I'm not privy to internal
polling information, but I have friends who are, and I've
been told by people that in a head to head
(06:16):
poll between the two of them, Paxton beats John Cornyn
by twenty points. Now, to be fair, you know, just
that's a little anecdotal because a lot of the times
these internal polls are conducted among people that are very
involved in politics, and you know, be clear, it is
a lot of grassroots people that come out and vote
in a primary, so there'd always be a handful of
people that probably didn't get pulled. But twenty points is
(06:39):
a pretty big lead. And what it tells us is
Ken Paxton. If it's just Ken Paxton and corn if
nobody else jumps in that race, Paxton is going to
crush John Cornyn. So the question isn't who will in
the seat next year to be Senator alongside Ted Cruz
for the state of Texas. The question really at this
point is who replaces Paxton. As you know, it's a
(07:01):
conservative state. Generally, the winners chosen in the primary, not
in the general election. So in that race, yeah, Paxton
probably would win. It would be interesting to see how
that would turn out. So far in the race to
replace Paxton as attorney General, the name a lot of
people have been thrown around. I look, I hate to
(07:21):
brag about this, but a couple of weeks ago, when
we first heard about Paxton challenging Cornyn, my co host
on my morning show asked me who do you think
should be the next attorney general? And the first name
that popped into my mind was State Senator Mays Middleton.
I did not know he was going to announce. I
didn't know that. I just knew that people had spoken
about it, that I had friends who said he'd be
(07:43):
a good attorney general. Well, and behold yesterday, May's Middleton
makes a big announcement. And you know I happen to
know Mays. I know how to reach out to him.
May's first of all state Senator Mays Middleton, Thanks for
coming on the show. I didn't know you were going
to announce. I know I'm probably not the only person
that guessed that you might, but I'm glad you did.
I'll start with that, So very cool to have you
(08:04):
entering this race. Big announcement. I'm throwing my support behind you.
You already know that, and I want my listeners to
know that. But what is it that made you decide
to run?
Speaker 3 (08:15):
Hey, Kenny, I sure appreciate you having me on here.
You know, there is an appetite and a mandate more
than that in this nation for bold conservative leadership, and
obviously that's why Trump won so big this past November.
And I'm running because the Texas Attorney General's office has
to be the tip of the spear and the chief
(08:36):
defender of our laws in our constitution, and look, we
know our laws and our constitution, not suggestions. This isn't
like Louby's right. It is that office his job to
protect and defend our values and the values that our
founding fathers fought for. Because so goes Texas, so goes America.
We don't have another Texas to move to, and we
(08:58):
need proven conservative leadership in that job. And I have
proven that conservative leadership in our Texas House and Texas
Senate have always consistently been ranked as one of the
most conservative members. Club for Growth put me actually at
the number one last legislative session.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
Yeah, you're considered to be one of, if not the
most conservative person in the state Senate right now. I
think it's very cool that you're a millennial, You're a
fresh face, You're young but not inexperienced. You are an attorney,
so I mean, I know that's important to people. You
actually have some experience practicing law and that sort of thing.
The thing most people probably know you for is your
(09:35):
bill taxpayer funded lobbying ban Maze. I don't understand how
this didn't pass. This is such a no brainer. I
mean even a lot of liberals agree. Yeah, it's corrupt
to use taxpayer money to go out and lobby politicians.
Another way of explaining that would be, do you think
that people should be able to use public funds to
bribe politicians? Because lobbying is a gray area for what
(09:55):
people can and can't do. It's already riddled with corruption.
How is it the this didn't move forward? I mean,
they basically trashed your bill.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
Look, this is basic common sense. And let me just
tell you how bad this problem really is. So there's
about one hundred million dollars a year of your local
tax dollars that are going to left wing Austin lobbyist,
and they're opposing things like border security. Right, that's got
to be one of the number one priorities in this
Attorney General's office is working hand in hand with President
(10:26):
Trump to make sure that we secure the border and
we deport illegal immigrants and we have zero tolerance for
those in the way. But not only that, taxpayer funded
lobbyists against election integrity as well. Right, So citizenship verification
of our voter rolls. They're even four getting boys into
girls' restrooms and locker rooms and showers. And this practice
(10:47):
is wrong, it's unethical, it's waste, fraud, and abuse, and
it's got to be number one on the Texas Doge
Agenda to end this.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
And from day one, day.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
One, my first day in the legislature, this has been
one of my number one priorities because the taxpayers are
being taken advantage of and lobbied against with their own
tax dollars.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
I can't wrap my mind around the fact that the
money's being used for leftist causes, because it clearly is.
There's a long list of examples. We've covered many of
them on the show in the past, but it was
really Republicans that kind of trashed the bill. They're the
ones that blocked it. Is there any can you explain
how that happened? And also is there any chance this
bill gets resurrected or saved at some point.
Speaker 3 (11:30):
So we've passed it in the Texas Senate, and I
want to thank Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick for his leadership
and support and doing that. It's always been a priority
of the Texas Senate. This is actually the second time
that I've passed the bill off the Senate floor. But
you know, rest assured, the taxpayer funded lobbyists are always
going to oppose me. No matter what I run for,
(11:51):
because I'm challenging how they're taking advantage and stopping them
from profiting off taxpayers. Right, I'm sick of our dollars
being diverted to the pockets of Austin, obvious, and this
unethical practice has to end. And that's why the opposition
is so great, because that's almost one hundred million dollars
a year, and frankly, we are paying, we were paying
(12:14):
lobbyists to defeat the conservative bills that we all believe in,
that we have all fought for. You know, I've been
part of the grassroots movement for a long time and
been part of all these organizations that are fighting for parents,
you know, for fiscal responsibility, for faith, family and freedom,
and at every turn we're opposed.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
You're gonna have to forget my confusion on this one.
I thought someone changed your bill. I guess that got corrected.
That get fixed.
Speaker 3 (12:41):
There was a bad amendment in the Senate that we're
working to get off. And look, we need to make
sure that groups like TASBY are held account all right.
So TASBY is Texted Association of school Boards, and what
they're doing is they're using your local school tax dollars
to lobby to get boys for example, girls restrooms, locker rooms,
(13:01):
and showers. And they even invited transgender students and to
train school board members on gender pronouns. And that's it's
another reason why you know, the Save Women's Sports Act
was so important to me, passed into law last session
to protect fairness, opportunity for women and to keep our
families safe.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
See that's such a no brainer to me too, Mays
because in national polling, recent data suggests eighty percent of
voters are against it, which would mean that's all the Conservatives,
all the independence and even a lot of liberals. So
why are we still having to have this not just
the fact that we're talking about it here in Texas,
but on a national level. What is the resistance here?
I mean is I've got to assume it's money from
(13:41):
big pharma, the healthcare industry. I always it always looked
to me like when they figured out how profitable this was,
that was when they tried to force feed it to us.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
Yeah, exactly, this is like the NGOs, This is like USAID,
right that we've seen on the federal level in Texas.
And that's what's happening, and we need to make sure
this an ethical practice ends and there's big money in it.
Like I mean, y'all have seen the opposition on the
federal level of cutting all this waste for on abuse,
and second of all, cutting it is the first step.
(14:11):
We need to make sure that those are guilt, those
guilty of the waste for an abuse are prosecuted and
held fully accountable. And that's another priority of mind and
running for this Attorney General's office, to make sure that
those crooks and those criminals that are stealing from the
taxpayer are held fully accountable, and we are tough on crime,
including in Harris County. I've seen a lot of examples
(14:32):
of that.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
All right, let's talk about voter integrity. Obviously, we've had
people get arrested over the last several years on more
than one occasion for Shenanigan's tom foolery, malarkey, whatever word
Joe Biden would use to describe it if he was
an honest person. And yet still there seems to be
issues popping up here and there in local elections, a
lot of problems in Harris County. I know you live
(14:54):
right down the street from us in Galveston. You're no
stranger to that controversy. Weirdly enough, they put all these
shackles on Ken Paxton as the Attorney General, things that
have prevented him from being able to get more involved
in voter integrity. How do we fix that?
Speaker 3 (15:10):
Here's one of the number one things that's got to
change in this We have to restore the Attorney General's
office ability to prosecute back that was taken away in
a bad court decision a few years ago, and that
has to be a top priority. But I want to
go a step further than that. I think the AG's
office should be able to prosecute any violation of state law,
(15:32):
not just election integrity, any violation, because look, when you've
got George Sores elected das, when you've got George Soris
elected district judges and county attorneys and commissioner's courts, they're
pretty sure that they're not going to be held accountable
when they break our laws. And they do treat our
laws like it's Louby's right. We're going to take that
and leave that on the tray. We're going to pick
(15:54):
and choose right. And that's not how it's supposed to work.
You're supposed to enforce all our state laws, not just some.
And so that's why I think that's got to be
number one priority, is allowing the Attorney General's office to
prosecute any violation of any state law, but especially election integrity,
because that is the office that is the tip of
the spear to make sure that our elections are free
(16:16):
and fair, and also that only legally qualified voters are voting,
and that we hold this accountable who are breaking them
and voting illegally, and then we have voter idea being
enforced properly as well.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
All right, so let's talk about border security. And this
is not a problem that's been solved completely. I know
people are excited to see how the administration changed. We've
now got vast improvements happening at the border. And you
and I both know politics is a pendulum. It swings
back and forth. Right now, the Democrats are very unpopular,
thank god. Right now we're doing something about illegal immigration,
(16:48):
thank god. But the Maryland Senator, he's traveling down to
El Salvador to bring back illegal aliens, criminals from the
prison there in the same state day where Rachel Morin
was murdered. I mean, forgive me for this language because
I know it bothers people rape to death. This mother
of five. There are people you're gonna have to deal with, lawmakers,
(17:11):
elected officials who care more about criminal illegal aliens than
their own constituents. And at some point the Democrats may
be in charge again. You would become the attorney general
of the biggest border state in the country. And as
you know, right down the street from your home, Houston,
Texas human trafficking hub. They say this is the headquarters
for human trafficking in North America, and I mean it's
(17:33):
probably true. This is also something we're gonna need you
to take some action on. What's the plan there? That's right.
Speaker 3 (17:40):
Border security is national security, period, and we know if
we don't have a border, we don't have a nation.
I mean, we're being flooded with criminals with sentanyl And
one of the top priorities in this office has to
be to use the entire weight and force of the
Texas Attorney General's Office and use every resource available to
help President Trump secure the border and deport illegal immigrants.
(18:04):
And on top of that, we have a very strong
ban on sanctuary cities in Texas, so we need to
have zero talents for those that are in the way
of this border security and deportation plan, and that is
one of the most important tasks in Attorney General's office
is to make sure that local government or anyone is
not in the way of those border security operations. That
(18:26):
was a bill that we passed in twenty seventeen. Another
one that was really important that I co authored. It
was the strongest border security law in America that was
s before and that allows the state actually to deport
illegal immigrants and have them arrested for criminal tech trespass.
So every tool must be on the table, and we
must use it relentlessly and persistently because we have to
(18:48):
have a secure border.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
Maze I was it was a no brainer for me
to endorse you. In fact, I was kind of surprised
to see a handful of like a little bit of
resistance from some people when I made the announcement on
social media. Ideologically, you seem like you're on the right
side of things. You were in no vote on the
Paxton impeachment. You know, I you signaled support for him.
(19:10):
I appreciate that. I think you were on the right
side of that argument. You're independently successful, independently wealthy. It's
gonna make it very hard for people to corrupt you.
I think that's a valid point to be made. The
people that have criticized you online seem to want They
seem to be throwing support behind people that aren't even
running for the office right now, what would you say
to those people?
Speaker 3 (19:30):
So, of course I voted to quit on every single
article of impeachment. And unfortunately, there is one person in
the race that I haven't seen at any grassroots meetings.
It's not been part of the conservative movement like I have.
Where has he been he's been Mia. I show up
to fight every single day, and show up to the
fight every single day, and it just seems like he's
(19:53):
a slick lawyer that's trying to fool voters and imply
that I somehow voted to convict packs and on impeachment.
That is totally false. I voted to a quit on
every single charge. And I think this just shows that
he can't be trusted and is doing what the liberals
are doing, which is why about my record.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
My brother mays, dude, it's going to be an uphill battle. Obviously,
I think you're the right guy for it, you know.
I appreciate your position. I think these are good answers.
I hope our listeners will be objective. You know, do
your own research, folks. If you think Maze is the
right guy, throw some support before it behind him. If
you you know people want to wait and see who
else jumps in the race. I think that's a fair
(20:34):
point to be made as well. But at this point
it mays I think you're the right choice, and I'm
glad you're running, my brother, let us know what we
can do if people do want to support you. I
assume you have a website that can find you online,
volunteer to block walk, make donations, that sort of thing.
We've got a Facebook page.
Speaker 3 (20:50):
Now we're in the campaign finance blackout in the legislature
right now.
Speaker 2 (20:54):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:54):
Look, I believe in public service, not self service, and
I want to point out that, you know, my eight
years in the legislature, I've rejected the state pension, I've
rejected the state healthcare. I've donated my salary to local charities.
I am only here to serve and fight for the
conservative values that we all believe in, and that's why
I've committed my own money here to the race. I mean,
(21:16):
I don't even take the state license plate, which can
get you out of maybe some traffic tickets or parking fees.
I want to give it all back to the people
Texas and go fight with everything in me for those
conservative values that our founding fathers bristed all for.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
That's right, I forgot. The donations are political donations are
blacked out right now because the legislative session. But people
can still volunteer, right, is that? Okay?
Speaker 3 (21:40):
Absolutely? I welcome everybody's support. Hope to earn everybody's vote.
You know, I'm a grassroots conservative. I got elected to
the House knocking on six thousand doors.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
Love it.
Speaker 3 (21:51):
I'll always be a grassroots conservative, and I sure hope
to earn everybody's support in this race in our Publand primary.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
All right, you are a graduate of U two, if
I'm not mistaken. These are where the controversial questions come in.
May is before we finish here. Favorite Texas sports team,
favorite Texas barbecue restaurant, go ut law?
Speaker 3 (22:11):
Yeah, sorry Longhorn. Sorry, Aggie's out there. You know most
of my family members actually are Aggie, so that would
give me a hard time about that. Favorite sports team
is easy. That's the Houston Astros. And actually, actually my
favorite barbecue restaurant is the Pit Room.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
Yeah, I mean b Fribs. You can't beat it. It's
one of the only places that always as B Fribs.
All right, you won my maze Middleton State Senator in
Mazed Middleton. Thanks for your time this afternoon, brother fight
the good Fight for us.
Speaker 5 (22:43):
You were listening to Pursuit of Happiness Radio.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
Y'all remember Home Alone Too? I mean, who could forget
Home Alone? John Hughes, a genius film director, made some
of the greatest movies of my childhood, things lying Ferris
Bueler's Day Off, the Breakfast Club. I mean, those are
my favorite. But obviously Home Alone was a pretty good
movie too. And usually the sequel to a big movie
like that isn't great, but Home Alone too, Lost in
(23:12):
New York was a really good movie. Pray Part Do
Comedy is reporting on how director Chris Columbus is. I mean,
it sounds like he's just desperate for attention. This was
the guy that directed the movie. He's going full or well,
he's disgracing himself. He wants Donald Trump's cameo in Home
Alone two. Lost in New York to be memory. Hold
(23:32):
listen to this. He did an interview at the far
left San Francisco Chronicle and said, quote, years later, Trump's
cameo has become this curse. It's become this thing that
I wish was not there. What it's there, bro I
mean he says that, he says, but it's there. It's
become an albatross for me. I just wish it was gone.
I can't cut it. If I could cut it, I
(23:54):
probably would, and that amazing. Listen to this guy just embarrassing.
He said, quote, I'll be considered sort of not fit
to live in the United States, so I'll have to
go back to Italy or something.
Speaker 4 (24:06):
Mm.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
Really you have to go back to Italy. You have
to director. The guy's name is Chris Columbus. He said
that thirty three years ago he never expected to keep
the cameo, but during a test screening something unexpected happening.
He said, quote, we screamed the film in Chicago, and
when that moment came on screen, the audience went crazy.
They cheered and they cheered. They thought it was hilarious.
I think I know a lot about comedy, but I don't, obviously,
(24:30):
because I never thought it was going to be considered hilarious.
End quote huh back. In a twenty twenty interview, this
guy claimed that Trump would not let him film in
the Plaza Hotel unless he was given some screen time.
The production felt blackmailed. They needed the Plaza, paid the fee,
they agreed to the cameo. He said, we paid the fee,
but Trump said the only way, the only way you
(24:51):
can use the Plase is if I'm in the movie,
So they agreed to put him in the movie. He
claims that's what he said. Three years later, Trump used
his truth social account to push back on this coin.
Donald Trump says, thirty years ago, how Time Flies director
Chris Columbus and others were begging me to make a
cameo appearance in Home Alone two. They rented the Plaza
Hotel in New York, which I owned at the time.
(25:13):
I was very busy and did not want to do it.
They were very nice, but above all persistent. I agreed,
and the rest is history. Now that cameo took off
like a rocket. People really enjoyed it. People will text
and called Donald Trump whenever the show's on TV. He claims,
the movie that is Trump has actually responded to this
(25:34):
and said, quote, if they felt bullied or didn't want me,
why did they put me in? Why did they keep
me there? Oh for thirty years I've been kept in
the film. So Columbus responded, he said, quote. He finally
responded an interview, he said, quote, what's going through I'm sorry,
I'm still doing Trump's voice. Oh, what's going through this
guy's mind? He said, I was lying. I'm not lying,
He said. I begged him to be in the movie.
(25:55):
But there's are no word, there's no world I would
ever beg a non actor to be in a movie,
but we were desperate to get the Plaza hotel. End
to quote, My impression of Chris Columbus dropped a number
of notches when I heard about all this commentary. Kind
of silly, you know. He did commentary on Home Alone
as well. He basically apologized for setting a scene in
(26:15):
a Christian church. He said it made him uncomfortable. It
makes no sense to add any kind of ikey religion
about Christianity to a movie about Christians. Right't amazing how
much these people hate us. They hate us, they hate America,
they hate Donald Trump, they hate Christians. The guy that
(26:35):
directed home alone, regrets including the acknowledgment of Christianity in
the movie, because that's how much they hate you.
Speaker 4 (26:51):
Free specialies on right here on proceeds unhappy as radio.
Speaker 2 (27:01):
Okay, So Gwyneth Paltrow says she wishes she had more kids.
Here's where it gets scary. Nick Cannon says, same.
Speaker 5 (27:09):
God.
Speaker 2 (27:10):
I hope Gwyneth Paltrow and Nick Cannon don't hang out.
How horrible would that be? Kids were not done yet?
Thanks for coming back with us. Here quick reminder. Friday night,
I'll be in New Orleans at Southport Hall with Chad
Prather and Jesse Payton. It's the Right Side of Comedy.
Gulf of America Tour. Tickets available on their website. Watchchad
dot com, Jesse isfunny dot com. I imagine the Southport
(27:31):
Hall websites got it, legendary venue in New Orleans. We're
really excited about that. And then Saturday night we're gonna
be in Hattiesburg, same comedy show lineup, but that's at Bruskis.
Because it's in Hattiesburg, it's a different venue. You can
find all that online. Go take a gander, get your tickets,
Buy him in advance because it will probably sell out,
and I think it's cheaper to get them in advance too.
(27:52):
But anyway, I am just listening to some of the
funniest soundbites here from the past twenty four hours, and
Joe Biden showed up on the radar. That's hilarious. AOC's
new accent really funny. But of all the things that
I think people need to pay attention to today, Maryland
Senator Chris van Holland, not Van Halen, Chris van Holland
(28:14):
flew to Al Salvador. I think he's there already so
he can go release an MS thirteen gang member purported
MS thirteen gang member kill maar Abrego Garcia and this
is here and play a little sound to that, please.
Speaker 6 (28:27):
I saw the comments of President Okayley, and I look
forward to meeting with him. I've requested to meet with him.
I reached out to the ambassador here to ask to
meet while he's here. But I've also made clear if
we can't meet here, I do intend to go to
El Salvadoran's.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
Stop it right there. You know, he's the senator of
the same state where Rachel Morin, a mother of five,
was raped to death and that trial's taken place this week.
Patty Moorean, the mother of Rachel Morin, says she's not
heard from the senator. I'm just curious what's more important
to you, criminal illegals in another state or women in
your own state. I guess the answer is obvious here
(29:03):
with his take on it, my buddy Daniel, Daniel Turner
from Power of the Future. Daniel, are you surprised by
the fact that the Maryland Senators doing this?
Speaker 5 (29:13):
Yes and no. On the one hand, No, because Democrats
have doubled down on bad policies consistently. I think it
was Stephen Miller who pointed out there's an eighty twenty
split and the Democrats keep siding with the twenty right.
They're going to die on the hill of women with
sports being invaded by by transgender men women whatever they
(29:36):
are right beating the hell out of them in every
sporting event. They're going to die on the hill of
nine months abortion on demand, paid for by the taxpayers,
and they're going to die on the hill of open
borders and illegals. It's remarkable that the Senator would take
this position, But I'm also a little surprised because they
have to eventually, God, they have to eventually do a
(29:59):
deep dive to their party and say, how are we
ever going to win again? And standing shoulder to shoulder
with MS thirteen gang members, it doesn't seem like a
winning message. But yet here's here's the Maryland senator in
you know, here's the Maryland senator in El Salvador trying
to release a prisoner who was in the country illegally,
(30:22):
to bring him back to the country illegally, so we
deport him a second time. I guess, Yeah, what do
people think is going to happen. Let's say we bring
this guy home.
Speaker 2 (30:32):
Right, they're saying, well, you can't really prove that he
was involved in criminal activity. No, but he was associated
with gang members. If this was a rico trial and
it wasn't an immigration trial, I got to think he
would lose and then he'd be in jail for being
associated with criminals and then what and then he's an
illegal immigrant so he gets deported again?
Speaker 5 (30:49):
Right, yeah, and he had to fight multiple importation orders
the previously like this, This guy has been slated to
be deported for years and then of course during the
Biden administration it was just ignored. But the Trump administration
tied tried to deport him back in the first term,
and a liberal judge, of course, said no, he's an
(31:11):
asylum seeker and he deserves his moment. Blah blah blah.
So if Van Holland is successful, right, and the Senator says,
I'm going to take you back to America, what do
they do. They bore a plane, who's paying for it?
They fly to America and then he gets to the
border and custom says you're not allowed to be in
(31:31):
the country. And then he's just going to get sent
right back to El Salvador. I don't know what the
senator is. And you know what this is, Maryland. You
look at the last audit of the school system in
Baltimore and forty percent of the kids scored a zero
percent efficiency in proficiency in math and in reading and
(31:53):
in science. I've never seen Chris van Holland die on
the altar of poor black kids in Baltimore who can't
read or write. But he is going to die on
the altar of this illegal L Salvadorian gang member. You know,
maybe he's not going to go to Baltimore because it's
safe for an El Salvador that it is in Baltimore,
so he'd rather do the photo op where he's not going.
Speaker 2 (32:13):
To get shot. Yeah, it's interesting too. You're pretty politically savvy, Daniel.
You know about how campaigns are run, and that's a strategist,
what they're doing and that sort of thing. What is
it that would drive this guy to think this was
a smart move? Is he looking at internal polling? Is
it some one of his consultants told him, you know
you ought to do. You'd get on TV all over
(32:35):
the country if you just flew down to some foreign
country where criminals are being held and make it sound
like you're on their side, I mean, Or is he
just nuts? I mean it looks bad. Let's pretend you're
a centrist, You're not on the far left, you're not
on the far right. What is this? How does this
help him improve his chances of getting re elected? Or
is it about fundraising?
Speaker 5 (32:56):
Like?
Speaker 2 (32:56):
Why do it?
Speaker 5 (32:58):
I think it's a little bit of of trying to
be on the national stage, and the way you get
on the national stage is being the most anti Trump possible.
So you look at Bernie and Aot and their whirlwind
tour and the amount of money they're raising. So that
probably is a fundraising component. It puts him on TV.
It allows him to send newsletters and say I am
(33:18):
fighting the Trump administration and their war on immigrants. Were
a nation of immigrants and all that same crap they
always say. It probably also is bad polling that they're
convinced that Latinos are this or sorry latin X. LATINX
is this monolithic group that unanimously votes for Democrats. And
(33:39):
they clearly haven't looked at the last election that Hispanic
men voted for President Trump. The majority of them. Hispanics
are moving more and more to the right when it
comes to voting. But I'm sure that somehow someone has
convinced him. You know what, if you stand up for
this guy, all the Hispanics in Maryland, they're going to
vote for you next time around. And that's just not
(34:00):
the case. I mean, it's insulting that we've treated minority
communities as this ignorant and easily deceived group of people.
The numbers show that they're moving away from the Democrat
Party because, surprise, surprise, they're tired of lousy schools and
dangerous neighborhoods and they want jobs too.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
Yeah. Also, there are a bunch of hard working Christians. Right,
These are generally pro family Catholics. They're not going to
get all excited about LGBTQ plus abortion stuff. That's not
generally what drives Hispanic Latino voters out to the polls.
But all that being said, speaking of AOC is doing
the interchangeable accent game. Again. We've seen Hillary do this,
(34:44):
We've seen Kamala do it. Alexandria Casio Cortez now has
a new accent. She's debuting on her Fight Oligarchy tour
with Bernie Sanders.
Speaker 5 (34:53):
Donald Trump is a criminal who's found guilty a dirty
f Well, any can'ts abroad.
Speaker 1 (35:04):
Liable for sexual abuse. Of course he's lying. I'm abusing.
I'm manipulating the stock market too.
Speaker 2 (35:15):
Did she just turn into the Swedish chef or what
the hell was that? Where does this come for? This
is theater kids stuff like why do they do this?
Speaker 5 (35:25):
Yeah? This is quite literally the definition of histrionics, which
is actions or words or gestures that are loud for
the sole purpose of garnering attention. This is histrionics. This
is just being loud so that people focus on you
and say, look at me, look at me. She has
(35:46):
to be careful though, and I do hope they sue
the pants off of her because this is a litigious president.
He was never found liable for sexual assault. Actually, the
sexual assault trial was completely dismissed when it came to
that really free key looking woman whose name I can't remember.
He was found guilty of besmirching her name in the
(36:07):
public sphere or whatever it was, and that was the
sole point of his lawsuit against her, so accusing him
of sexual assaultan saying he was found liable for it
is libel. Different different word or slander, I should say,
excuse me, and one is prince one his words. I
(36:28):
forget which is which, but either of it, she's guilty
and she's better be careful because they will suit the
pants off of her, as they've done to a lot
of media outlets that have printed and said this before.
Speaker 2 (36:40):
All right, one more soundback I got to play before
we get out of here. Daniel Turner Powerthefuture dot Com
is the guest right now. Yesterday, and case anybody forgot
why we wanted Donald Trump to be our president, Joe
Biden went out and he reminded the world. Joe Biden
gave his first speech since leaving office, and I guess
he you know, it was one of those things where
(37:00):
he talked about growing up around a bunch of black people,
and in the speech, I think he actually refers to
them as the blacks, and then he goes on and
makes a point about colored kids.
Speaker 7 (37:10):
And I had never seen I'd never seen hardly any
black people Scranton at the time when I and I
was only going on fourth grade, and I remember seeing
the kids going by at a time called colored kids.
Speaker 2 (37:23):
Look, it's not nothing here, but it is a weird
thing to talk about. And what the hell was this
even a speech about? Why is he talking about this?
Speaker 5 (37:32):
This was a climate change speech, of course it was.
I have no idea what he was speaking. I have
no idea why they rolled him out. We saw at
the end that the president is incapable of speaking impromptu,
off the cuff without meandering into just just bizarre commentary, awkward,
(37:57):
losing his train of thought. It was a very bad decision. Look,
I understand you wanted to give him some award, Martin
O'Malley gave it to him, But putting this man on
stage and holding him up again as Joe Biden is
going to speak out about what we're seeing. Wow, that
is the Democrat Party though you know it's people who
(38:18):
look at the all three subjects we talked about, Kenny,
that's today's Democrat Party. It's old like Joe Biden, it's
phony like Alexandria Cassio Cortez his accent, and it is
focused on the wrong priorities like Senator Van Holland and
El Salvador. That is a perfect trifecta of why this
party is out of power and why God willing it
(38:39):
will never have power again.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
Damn, Daniel, you just wrapped up the whole thing that
you put that on a bow on it, you gave
it a little bit of gold tensel, you sprinkled some
glitter on it. Man, that was fantastic. Anything for you, Kenny,
my brother from another Daniel Turner. Ladies and gentlemen. I
know we didn't talk much about climate change or oil
and gas today, but that is actually doing specialty. If
(39:01):
you work in the energy industry or work with people
that work with people. You know, this is Houston, Texas.
Every one of us is part of an economy that's
affected by the energy industry. You owe it to yourself.
