Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Giganic government sucks. The suit of happiness radio is
d us. Liberty and freedom will make you smile, or
a suit of happening us on your radio toel just
as cheeseburgers.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
A libity rise at. A new report claims four in
ten people are in love with their car. You can
tell who they are too. Every time they stick a
gas pump into that hole, they get really jealous. Hi everybody,
I'm Kenny Webster. Thanks for joining us this afternoon. Stay represented.
(00:36):
Brisk o'caine will be dropping by in just a little bit.
There's a rumor the Democrats are going to try to
break quorum so that the upcoming Texas Legislative session will
get interrupted or delayed or who knows or if it'll
even happen. I don't know. Some people are casting doubt
on that, and we'll talk about it. Also, there is
a new Sharia compliant mosque at ih is it I
(01:00):
don't know. Maybe it's been there for a while. It's
new to me. I didn't know this existed. It's not
for Christians or Catholics, or Jews or Hindus or Native Americans.
It's not a multi faith center. It's just for Islam.
You're not allowed to go in there unless you want
to worship Allah. And apparently that's a thing now in
a taxpayer funded institution that you helped pay for. So
(01:20):
stick around for that. We're going to talk about it.
Christian Collins will be stopping by. He's organizing the Texas
Youth Summit. He has quite a bit of news to
share as well. One thing we don't have much to
tell you about today is Epstein. As a lot of
you know, I'm one of those. I guess I don't
know if Trump doesn't like me anymore, but I want
to know what happened with Epstein. I want to know.
It's not like I care who killed him. We kind
(01:42):
of know who killed him. Probably the globalist or the
New World Order, maybe Trump, maybe the Clintons. It doesn't
really matter. He's dead, he's not coming back. But don't
you want to know who they were trafficking people for?
I do. Donald Trump says that apparently he's going to
get Pam Bonni to release whatever the credible Epstein documents
(02:03):
are that still aren't out.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
Oh, I can't speak about him, but I can say
that Pam Bondy, I really think that She's done very good,
she says, I gave you all the credible information, and
if she finds any more credible information, she'll give that too.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
What more can she do than that? I mean, honestly,
what more can she do? And we do have bigger problems.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
You know, we have problems with millions of illegal people
that came in here and they're killers and murderers. We
have eleven eight hundred and eighty eight murderers that were
allowed in to our country by Biden. Sleepy Joe Biden,
Stupid Joe Biden. He allowed him into our country.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
And you know what, we.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Got to do something about. She's got a lot of
things she's working on, and you know, it's very sad
that somebody can be waylaid, that just get waylaid. But
she's she's I think she's doing a great job.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
All right. You guys know how I feel about this.
I've never liked Pambondy. I think she's the weakest line,
she's the diversity higher But I do like Trump. I
don't like how this was handled. But for the time being,
it doesn't sound like much else is going to happen.
And I'm also I'm pragmatic I mean, I am. I'm
by the way. I'm not going to go on some
lame rantier like Charlie Kirk can tell you, I'm done
talking about the Epstein files. I if new stuff arises,
(03:15):
if there's more information to share, I'm going to talk
about it on this show. I think it matters. But
like to look at the picture as a whole. Crime
is down right now, Inflation is down, the economy is up. Immigration,
illegal immigration is pretty much stopped. It's like they turned
off a faucet and it doesn't exist anymore. And yesterday,
(03:35):
oh I love this. Yesterday our Senate voted on the
first budget reduction bill in over a quarter of a century.
One of our producers here, a younger guy down the hall,
Ethan Buchanan, works in the news room, but he also
helps with this radio show. He's twenty two years old.
He's a young Republican, MAGA loving Trump supporting, God fearing,
(03:56):
red blooded American. God bless him. He's a cool kid.
And and he has never existed at a time on
Earth when the United States government voted to reduce the
budget until now. Now they have. And this is very
bad for NPR. Oh NPR, I hardly even knew ye.
NPR CEO Catherine Maher has a problem with reality, she
(04:17):
really does. She was on CNN yesterday and she said this, as.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Far as the accusations that were biased, I would stand
up and say, please show me a story that concerns you.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
Because we want to know and we want to bring
that conversation back.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
She didn't understand why I heard her news outlet if
that's even what you could call it is having its
budget cut. She doesn't get it. She's shocked, shocked, she
is well. Yesterday, Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana helped explain
this to people that are confused.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
I want to give you a few examples of stories
that NPR has published using taxpayer money. I'll just read
the headlines. First headline, n PR Michael Avanati quote a
profile of the media savvy attorney.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
You remember him. He was an anti Trump attorney with
Michael Avanti, Jirmy Daniel's lawyer. He's in prison, in jail,
he's in jail. You know why. He's a crook.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
But for a while he was a media darling on NPR.
Here's another headline. Here we go in PR can't wait
to hear it how racism became a marketing tool for country music.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
I kid you not.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
The American taxpayers are spending half a billion dollars a
year to pay a local station to buy content that
says country music is racist.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
They also published content about how eating beef is destroying
the earth and the Russian Gate conspira is completely legitimate.
They said President Biden's presidential debate performance didn't change the
election those days before he dropped out of the race.
If you believe that headline, you probably believe in the
tooth fairy. Yeah. NPR is clearly biased. It's gotta go.
(06:15):
They defend trans women in biological sports. They've gone out
of their way to tell you highways are racist. NPR.
I don't need it anymore. Screw you.
Speaker 5 (06:25):
I'm going to Texas and thank our lucky stars. Sorry,
our lucky lone star we did. This is Kitty Webster's
pursuit of happiness.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
House speaker Mike Johnson wants the Epstein files to be released.
You know it's ironic about that. Doesn't Mike Johnson sound
like a fake name someone would put on the Epstein list.
I know he's a real guy, but anyway, we got
problems of our own. Here in the state of Texas.
Things are not looking good. Well, I don't know. I
guess they could be worse. You know, there's always a
(07:01):
rift in the Republican Party. But the real controversy right
now in the state legislature seems to be the controversy
surrounding whether or not they're going to break quorum again.
Do you remember twenty twenty one, all the Democrats in
this state of Texas, all those Democrat lawmakers were really
mad that Republicans were trying to pass new election integrity laws.
(07:23):
So what did they do. They got on a private plane,
filled it up with cheap domestic beer. They flew to Washington,
D C. And they gave COVID to Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden,
and Kamala Harris. You'all remember that. It was a super
spreader event. They got maskless on a private plane after
shaming you for not wearing a mask. They flew to Washington,
(07:44):
D C. Maskless and gave COVID to everyone. And of
course that election integrity law ended up passing anyway. But
the thing that was really interesting about that was they
were breaking quorum. This is one of those parliamentarian colloquialisms.
You only hear about when and what's breaking korum. It
means there's not enough people there to have a legislative session.
(08:05):
So if all the Democrats aren't attending and they all
fly off to Washington, d C. Then we can't have
our next special session and we're not going to be
able to do things like property tax or regulate CBD
shops or what was the other thing that they were
all up. And there's a lot of things that they
wanted to do this legislative session that they didn't get
to in the last legislative session, including dealing with the
(08:28):
flooding in Hill Country. It's kind of interesting you think
that'd be something the Democrats would want to participate in.
But I digress. The rumor is they might be skipping
this session and our breaking korum. There is also a rumor.
I mean, I guess this isn't a rumor. This is
new since the last time this happened. It's my understanding
the rules are different now now. If they break korum,
(08:48):
they all get fined and they have to pay out
of their own personal pocketbook, and they all get tarred
and feathered and chase through the village while old nuns
scream shame at them. Okay, maybe it's not quite that bad,
But you know who could explain it to us? Stay
Representative brisk o'caine is a lawyer. He's also a state representative,
so he knows the rules and he could probably tell
us whether or not he even think that this is
(09:10):
going to happen. Briscoe, I know I have a silly
way of explaining things sometimes, but did I pretty much
get this right? Is that what's happening?
Speaker 4 (09:18):
You did?
Speaker 6 (09:19):
You didn't know?
Speaker 7 (09:19):
Left a few details out to me. I known little
personal to personal to me. But when they broke quorum
in twenty twenty one, that was me standing at the
front of MinC That was my bill, that election integrity bill.
Now they did come back and later get it done,
but I'll tell you it was a little more watered
down because I had written a bill that made them
so afraid that was going to make our elections so
(09:42):
secure that they had to take their ball and go
home and they broke quorum. Now we finally got them
back and they kind of made a bill that they
could deal with, but to try and avoid that from
ever happening again, we amended the rules in twenty twenty three.
They do several things. It does a five hundred dollar
fine per day.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
Right.
Speaker 7 (10:02):
We also prohibit you from be able to pay that
with your your campaign account, meaning you got to pay
it with your personal money. Hey, there's plenty of trust
fun tied people out there that can afford those things.
But we also require them to pay the cost of
sending the surgeon of arms or someone to go get you,
which can get kind of pricey depending on how far
(10:22):
the way they are, so you know they're looking at
some serious money one of the right, Hey, hang.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
On before you explain the next part. I have a
question about the legality of that. Can someone else pay
it for them? Like, can some big Democrat party donor
who wants to get the free advertising? You know, I
work an advertising brisco. People pay thousands of dollars to
be heard on this radio station for thirty seconds. Would
you know? Obviously you can't beat that. It's good publicity
(10:50):
for them? Is there? Could someone pay that for them
and just think of it as like a marketing expense?
Speaker 7 (10:55):
You know, I'm I'm going to take a stab here
and exactly sure that we've heard that question I think
when I think of our ethics laws, you can't just
give us money. We're slightly different, and there's for good
reasons for that. So technically that may be considered a
campaign donation. Right, People aren't just allowed to give me
five hundred dollars for political reasons without me having to
(11:16):
report that, And so maybe there's a way to do
it ethically, but I don't think so. I mean, I've
heard stories of that people in the DNC offering to
pay this for them, and there's kind of a probably
a gray area of whether or not they can even
accept that. But there's also maybe a notable issue, which
is this is in our house rules, and can the
House vote to issue the fine without a quorum? I'm
(11:41):
not sure if it's kind of a little kink in
our armor that we have to have a quorum to
actually do anything. If we have a quorum, can we
can we do it? So those are open questions. But
right now it sounds like they're going to show up.
There's enough for them to want it, but hey, I
dare them not to come because I think this is
an electioneering. People want you to go do your job,
(12:01):
and it would hurt them not to come, so I
invite them to break for them.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
Dare you all right? This is just speculation because you
don't know. I don't know who knows what the demo?
You know, will the Democrats waste money doing something pointless?
I mean, who knows? It sounds like they I've never
done that before. Such just speculation. But if you had
to bat, do you think they will?
Speaker 7 (12:23):
You know, I don't think they will know if it
was what I wanted, I'm one of the few that
really thinks like it'd be good politically, like we'd eventually
get it done. There are some really important things on here, okay,
especially banding, taxpayer fund lobbying, and you know, esently what
we'd call safe space for women to keep men from
these private areas. There's a lot of stuff that we
need to do. There's some pro life things. There's especially spending, right,
(12:45):
there's not just property tax relief on this call. The
most important one, which no one really ever talks about,
is local government spending. Spending and taxation are the same thing.
They're just different sides of the same coin. Right, If
you spend, you you tax you spend. And we're always
talking about slowing down their tax rate or how much
they're taxing you. But if we don't stop them from
(13:07):
spending money like drunken sailors, they're just going to keep
increasing your taxes.
Speaker 2 (13:12):
Yeah. See, that's what's most important to me. What issues
are the coming Let's assume this legislative session happens, and
it probably will, you know, quorum breaking, quorum being put
asigned for just a minute here, What policies, what votes
do you think are the most important that would be
on the docket.
Speaker 7 (13:31):
Yeah, well, more property tax, really reigning in local government spending.
Of course right now because of the outs the tragedies, guys,
and I know, we just got to keep talking about
it's realistic. I mean, there are people still hurting, there's
people missing, and there are a lot of destiny floods.
And one of the things I'm really conscious with and
I think the conservas should be is is how we
(13:51):
respond to tragedies and sometimes sadly, government over response to them,
to public pressure and outcries. And so I really hope
we're thoughtful with what we're doing and we don't just
kind of grow government unnecessarily. But it does look like
we need some really good alert systems, some good sirens
and stuff. I've heard from Reverison of West Verdale who's
been there on the ground. He represents kirk County where
(14:14):
the main impact is there. He's talked with some engineers
at space X who are kind of working on some
new technology and it'd be linked to their satellite, so
there's no issues with cell coverage or service. And gosh,
if we know anything about that company, they're pretty brilliant.
So may then come up to new technology so we
don't have this happen again. But also, and I heard
y'all talking about yesterday in the show, banning taxpayer funded lobbying. Right, guy,
(14:37):
this may be one of the most important things to
drain the swamp. You want to reduce your property taxes,
we've got defaying the lobbyists and Austin who are paid
for with your property taxes. You want to reign in
corrupt local governments, Well we need to get them away
from hiring notes freaking lobbyists.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
Yeah, you know, speaking of lobbyists. I know. I don't
know if you have any comments on this, and it's
okay if you don't. One of your closest allies in
the state legislature is now running against Dan Crenshaw in
a primary. That would be State Representative Steve Toath and
just announced Brad Bailey just announced that he wants Steve
Toath's State House seat. Brad Baily was previously a surrogate
(15:17):
for Dan Crenshaw. He wanted Dan Crenshaw to be the
twenty twenty four presidential candidate. He's also a lobbyist. Do
you have any thoughts on that? I know you might not.
Speaker 7 (15:26):
I know it's fine, you know, I'm hoping another conservatile
get in it. I've known Brad for some time now,
and I think if you were to go, hey, Steve,
who would you like to see replacing the State House?
I don't think he'd be pointing fingers and kicking Brad.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
You know it's interesting Coming up a little later in
the show here, we're getting a call from Texas Youth
Summit organizer Christian Collins, and I'm going to ask him
that same question, Brisket. I think he might have an
interesting answer. But hey, before we run out of time, here,
one more thing. I wanted to ask you about two
odd things happening in Harris County right now, one of
them involving I AH, the airport this news just broke.
(16:07):
This was just handed to me moments ago. I did
not know about this. Apparently at Iah Airport there's going
to be or there is already an Islamic mosque. I
thought this was a joke when I first saw this.
So I'm just going to read to you what was
shared with me. Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport apparently is
(16:27):
being Islamisized. There is a Shia compliant Islamic prayer complex
in Terminal G with gender segregated prayer areas, dedicated woodoo
stations for ritual washing. There's no multi faith room. This
is exclusively for Muslims. Apparently, this is really upsetting Catholics
and Native Americans and Hindus and Jews, and I'm just curious,
(16:52):
do we need this? Good grief?
Speaker 7 (16:56):
No, what stop it? That's no, this is this is
add glad you told me about it. Look, this is
the Islamization of America and of Texas is a current
issue of the state's looking at how to do it.
There are ways for local municipalities to do it, but
you've got to do it really carefully, and the need
to start doing it now. There's certain ways to go
about it. You can't technically due to you know, the constitution,
(17:18):
we can't say Islam's ban, but you know we can
ban things like sounding that weird alarm that they do
in certain countries and really looking into the nonprofit status
and the things they're doing, the things they're advocating for.
Look Islam that its core is incompatible with Western and
American freedom. That is troubling that our tax dollars are
(17:40):
going to fund something like that. They may say, we're
not giving it tax dollars. Well, you're at a public place,
right that it's paid for by the people, and we
should not be establishing Islam in Houston.
Speaker 6 (17:52):
We're in Texas.
Speaker 7 (17:52):
It's troubling. I think for the legislature maybe need to
do more.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
Apparently CARE is really excited about this. Here is the
Muslim netw TV broadcast broadcast delivering the latest names.
Speaker 8 (18:03):
The Houston branch of the Council on American Islamic Relations
or CARE is commending Houston Airports. This is for establishing
a new room to perform we'll do and prayer facilities
at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. WILLUO refers to the purification
Whislims performed before prayer located in terminal deep cares as.
The facilities offer a clean, peaceful space for daily prayers
(18:25):
and ablution.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
It is wow. How about that, dude? They they got
rid of Papa's burgers and papasitos, but now we've got
a mosquet. Why? Yeah, who asked for this? I guess
I know the answer.
Speaker 7 (18:37):
But wow, man, I'm not surprised that it's at the
George Bush Airport, but who's surprised that Amas is happy
about the establishment of Islam here? No, we've got to
push back. Remember it wasn't too long ago there were crusades.
Europe drove them out when they tried to take over Europe,
and since then they've been successful. Got beat six, be
(19:01):
careful visiting England or France, and now they're wanting to
come here and do that.
Speaker 2 (19:05):
Well, it's a beat A state representative Briscocaine man, you know,
I agree with everything you said, and I appreciate your
insight into what's going on in Austin. I encourage people
to check out what briscocaine is up to. Briscocaine can
be found on X of course, his website can be
found at briscocaine dot com or at briscocaine on x,
the platform previously known as Twitter.
Speaker 5 (19:27):
Kamala Harris deserves to be vice president like Elvis deserved
as black belt in karate. What a hunka hunka burning crab.
This is Kinny Webster's pursuit of happiness.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
Earlier today on the Morning Show, we spent a lot
of time talking about cheeseburgers. I think we were just hungry,
to be honest, but we were talking about how Fudruckers
doesn't really exist anymore. I mean, there's still Fudruckers around.
I looked on a map earlier today, and they used
to be all over the place in the Houston area.
Now I think there are probably two. You know, what
Fudruckers problem was. They wanted you to do the work.
(20:02):
Do you remember they used to sell this as like
it was really great, you do your own toppings. And
then they had a station with lettuce and tomatoes and onions,
and it's like, well, hang on a second, here, is
that really a feature? You guys just too lazy to
make the burger for me. I don't know. Anyway, I
liked fud Rutgers back in the day, but fud Rutgers
falls into that that in the tier of restaurants based
(20:25):
on price point, I think it's right above fast food,
you know what I mean, like Chipotle or what's another one,
five guys. Five guys would be a good example. Smash Burger.
It's not exactly fast food, but it's not exactly a
sit down, fancy restaurant either. It's counter service. It's not fair.
It's good food, obviously, but as far as prices go,
(20:47):
you can't take a date there. It's not like, you know,
it's not like going to a restaurant with a waiter
or something. So when the economy was suffering a few
years back, thanks to President Biden, those were some of
the restaurants that you saw go away. You don't really
see fight wreckers anymore. There was a five Guys right
down the street from here at the radio station. I
used to eat there pretty often, and I always get
(21:08):
nervous when my favorite restaurants are empty. There was never
anybody there. Well guess what it's gone now. Right across
the street from that was a Barry Hill Taco. Same thing,
Barry Hill Taco. Not exactly fast food, not exactly a
restaurant with a waiter, kind of in between their counter service.
Barry Hill Taco's gone. That was the only place in
this neighborhood where I could get a cheap taco and
a cheap beer, and now it's disappeared. It's disappointing. Fortunately
(21:32):
for US, President Trump came along and he has breathed
new life into this economy, whether anybody wants to admit
it or not. The stock market's up, inflations down. The
housing market seems to be improving. For the first time
in a while. We have more sellers than buyers. If
you need a new home right now, you can actually
buy a house for the first time since back before
(21:54):
the pandemic at a somewhat reasonable price. That's a step
in the right direction. And as we can get back
to my little rant about cheeseburgers. Yeah, thanks to Donald Trump,
he's making burgers great again because we have Trump Burger.
Have you heard of Trump Burger? Trump Burgers are popping
up all over the place. They got one nearby this
radio station. I think it's on Chimney Rock, but apparently
they also have one in Kema, Kema, Texas. Now, for
(22:17):
those of you that aren't from Southeast Texas, Kema is
a sleepy little community on the southeast side of the city.
It's a small town that gets a lot of tourism.
It's where some wealthy people keep their boats, big houses
on the water. And apparently Trump Burger Keema is being
sued by the landlord after filing its own lawsuit in
(22:38):
an ownership dispute. I did not expect there to be
Trump Burger controversy in Kema. Here to explain it to us,
the always beautiful and talented Holly Hanson, Holly, what's going on?
Speaker 4 (22:50):
Yeah, this is a really interesting story. So, as you mentioned,
you know, you have this Trump Burger location that opened
in Kema, and they leased some property from one of
the local property owners there in Chemo. I've written about before.
But after signing the lease at the end of January
and a found April or so, the owner of that
(23:13):
property started to demand additional things from the owners of
Trump Burger. He submitted to them and an addendum that
had not been signed and wanted them to sign it,
to pay an additional ten thousand dollars a month, and
so forth. But you know, they went back and forth.
But then surprisingly, according to a lawsuit filed in Harris County,
(23:35):
the owner had the Chema Police come to the property
on June seventh, I believe, and forcibly removed the employees
from trump Berger that day. What's interesting is that the
king of Police did not present a court order at
that time, and I have been unable to find a
(23:59):
cop of any court order, despite the fact that I
called the Chema Police department asking for a copy. And
the problem here is that you cannot just remove people
from a property without a court order. If there is
a landlord tenant dispute, you usually have to go through
your local county Justice of the Peace judge and get
(24:22):
that court order. You can lock out a tenant, but
you have to give them three days notice. But according
to these planets, none of this happened. Not only were
they locked out, the property owner seems to have reopened
the business, renaming it Maga Burger instead of Trump Burger.
(24:43):
He says he has a new client in there and
is using all of the equipment and so forth, that
the previous owners either leased or in some kind of
agreement we're operating the trump Burger business to. It's a
pretty crazy story. And you know, there may have been
(25:06):
some legitimate court actions, but none that we can locate,
and none that the attorney for the Trump Burger owners
have been able to locate either.
Speaker 7 (25:18):
The as you.
Speaker 4 (25:19):
Said, there's been a countersuit filed in Gallaston County. What's
interesting is in that countersuit they don't even try to
present the addendum to the least that the property owner
tried to give to the Trump Burger. So, you know,
this is an interesting case and unfortunately it kind of
(25:39):
mimics a pattern we've recognized in Chema where you have
some you know, disputes over property rights and businesses trying
to operate in that area. Another little side note on this,
the property owner who more or less evicted the Trump
Burger owners without going through the court as it appears allegedly. Uh,
(26:04):
his attorney is an attorney by the name of Kyle Dixon,
who is also the Keema city attorney.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (26:15):
Yeah, what an interesting coincidence, right, you know, just another
Tema story, which you know is a lovely place. I
know you talked about it on your show yesterday. It
was Senator Mays Middleton. But it seems like there's there's
some interesting things going on there and uh, people aren't
sure about how the police got involved or what actually happened,
(26:37):
but I'm sure we will continue to.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
Cover it all. Right, backup on this for just a minute.
So is the owner of Maga Burger and the owner
of trump Berger. That's the same people or different people?
Speaker 4 (26:47):
No, different people. So that the trump Burger people opened
several locations in the area. Belleville noted one in Houston.
Speaker 2 (26:56):
Jimmy Rock Yeah, so so Magaburger is not Now, I'm
just looking at the Magaburger website here. Listen to this, Holly,
six dollars and fifty cents for French fries. What is
happening to our economy? That's insanity.
Speaker 4 (27:10):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
That is crazy.
Speaker 4 (27:13):
Beef tallow right.
Speaker 2 (27:14):
Oh my god, beef. I want beef tallow now. Holly Hanson,
you are my Catholic sister from another myster. How are
you doing with all the great journalism you've been doing
traveling around the state. Everything going okay with you.
Speaker 4 (27:27):
Everything's great. We're just, you know, trying to keep up
with all the news. Got more stories coming up about
Houston and Harris County and everything happening in the state
of Texas that your listeners might be interested in.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
Any predictions on Democrats breaking quorum or the new possibility
of redistricting. Any thoughts on either of those two things.
Speaker 4 (27:50):
Well, they do seem to be digging in their heels
on the plan to try to redistrict. I would note,
you know, there are multiple rediscting con flicks around the state.
You know, it's not just the state of Texas. There's
one in nearby Fortvin County near Houston, includes portions of
the city of Houston, also alleging that there's a problem
(28:11):
with their maps there. You know, I think that redistricting
is going to be a huge fight. We've had one
of our local congressional representatives in Houston file legislation to
try to ban any mid decade redistricting. But it's not uncommon,
and you know, quite frankly, you know, the parties that
(28:33):
are in power in each state often redistrict when they
find a reason to do so. And is it Jerrymandard,
as we say, of course always.
Speaker 2 (28:45):
Yeah, that's what it is. I mean, look, well, look
what they did to Harris County. They both parties do it.
Let's stop pretending like that's something that one party is
guilty of. And in the meantime, Holly, you have not
returned my emails. I keep asking you if you want
to open a Bidenberger with me.
Speaker 4 (29:01):
You know, I just my haunches that it would not be.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
Not a good investment. No, not, it is not. Follow
Holly Hanson on X check out her work at the
Texan Dot News. Coming up next, Christian Collins from the
Texas Youth Summit.
Speaker 5 (29:13):
Joe Biden decades of giving dirty politics a bad name.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
Sorry, dirty politics.
Speaker 5 (29:19):
This is Kenny Webster's pursuit of happiness on KPRC nine
p fifty Houston.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
Disneyland and Disney World have unveiled a new animatronic version
of Walt Disney. He's just like the old Walt Disney,
but this one is trans of course, He's trained and black.
Weirdly enough, it's a black trans Walt Disney. Hi, everybody,
welcome back. Okay, maybe that's not true, but welcome back
from break. We're not quite done here yet today. We
(29:47):
are really excited about what is going to be going
on later this summer at the Texas Youth Summit. This
is huge. I'm so excited to be a part of this.
Every year I get to come out and talk to
young conservatives, liberty minded patriotic Americans, people who care about
reducing the size of government, people that care about propping
up America instead of denigrating it. Yeah, what a radical idea.
(30:10):
They are working on the lineup right now for the
twenty twenty five Texas Youth Summit, and it looks great.
First of all, a great friend of the show here,
Congressman Wesley Hunt is going to be coming out. Congressman
Corey Mills is going to be there, Denish desuse you
Only Park is going to be speaking, Alex Clark, Alex Brucewitz,
(30:30):
Maya Flora, as you might know, Pastor Andrew Cedra, a
lot of other great speakers, and if I'm not mistaken,
I believe yours truly is going to be there. I'm
gonna tell some I did a comedy this week at
Steve Toath's congressional announcement, and it's always hard to do in
comedy at a non comedy event, and I got a
I'll I think it went better than I expected. And
(30:52):
one of my buddies was in the audience, my buddy,
Christian Collins, and I Christian, I think I convinced you
to let me tell jokes at the Texas Youth Summit
this year. Is it going to happen.
Speaker 6 (31:02):
Oh, It's absolutely going to happen. I'm looking forward to
having you.
Speaker 9 (31:04):
Thank you for all that you do, kiddy, and that
Texas Youth Summit is September nineteenth and twentieth at the
Woodlands Waterway, Mariot. As you mentioned, we've got a lot
of great speakers. This event is entirely free to ages
twelfth through twenty six, adults twenty seven plus and general admission,
VIP and sponsor any of those things you can do
(31:24):
and get a part of this movement, what we're doing.
It was covered on Fox News last year and streamed
on Fox Nation. A lot of good things we have going.
Speaker 2 (31:32):
Texas Youth Summit isn't just one of the biggest conservative
political summits in the country for young people, and it's
certainly that it's also one of the biggest conservative political
conventions in the state of Texas. It is a massive event.
Of course, college kids, high school kids can attend for
free if they sign up on the website at Texas
Youth Summit dot com. But a lot of adults go
(31:54):
to this. In fact, pretty much every big political every
state representative, politician, active journalist reporters are sitting in the
audience hanging out. You know, it's at the Marriott in
the Woodlands, and obviously this is a family friendly event,
but you know, it is at a hotel. I've been
multiple times, and I remember in the evenings stepping over
(32:14):
to the bar and finding there were a lot of
political strategists, consultants, political candidates, elected officials, just hanging out
sipping a glass of wine talking about politics. To people
listening to this radio show who want to use it
as a networking event. This is a very good thing
to attend, isn't it.
Speaker 6 (32:31):
I think it's.
Speaker 9 (32:31):
Great for so many people for so many different reasons.
And you know, the youth, of course, they're coming there
to learn the Christian and conservative values and they're getting
on the right track before they go up to college,
or if they're already in college. They're able to combat
the leftist focused ideas in the country. And so that's
the breeding ground the colleges for how we end up
(32:53):
with you know, these boards of these companies that are
extremely woke, and you know, they end up do you know,
terrible things, but they're life like becoming mayor of New
York so it's uh, we got to make sure that
we educate them while they're young and so that they
have the right day so that they can be positive
influences and make a good impact on our society.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
Man, I'll tell you what I think. The lessons that
are being taught to young people at this convention are
so important and brother Christian, we need it now more
than ever. This is a country built on free market principles,
free speech, gun rights, Judeo Christian beliefs. And when I
look at what's going on in New York City right now,
this is Zorhan mom Donnie running for New York City mayor,
(33:36):
the leading candidate.
Speaker 10 (33:37):
My platform is that every single person should have housed.
And I think, faced with these two options, this system,
the system has hundreds of thousands of people unhoused. Right
for what and if if there was any system that
could guarantee each person housing, whether you called the abolition
of private property or you who whoa.
Speaker 2 (33:58):
Whoa wha who whoa whoa whoa woa the abolition of
private property, that's Marxist stuff taking away Remember what the
world what was it? The World Economic Forum said you
will own nothing and you will like it. And that's
a radical opinion. Meanwhile, in Minneapolis, another mayoral candidate named
Omar Fata is saying the exact same thing. These guys
they hate Christians, they hate Jews, they hate the nuclear family,
(34:21):
they hate capitalism, they clearly hate America. And everyone's shocked
by this. But here in the city of Houston, we've
had more of a watered down, lightweight version of this
for years. Lena Hidalgo, when she was first campaigning to
be the Harris County Judge, went out and spoke at
the Houston Communist book Club. I mean, there's a photo
(34:43):
of her hanging out with a bunch of communists at
a book club, posing for pictures in front of a
sickle and hammer Christian. I mean, if people are shocked
by what's going on in New York City or Minneapolis,
we've had this problem right here in Houston for years,
haven't we.
Speaker 6 (34:58):
We've had this problem in used to for years.
Speaker 9 (35:00):
And uh, I mean these new radical left Muslim candidates
who are also progressive liberals and have all these you know,
radical transgender and LGBTQ plus ideologies, they're like an oxymoron.
I mean, their their ideas actually conflict with one another,
and really all they stand.
Speaker 6 (35:19):
For is just the destruction of America.
Speaker 9 (35:21):
In Leida Hidalgo, I think she's had a lot of
mental health issues. She hasn't raised that much money this cycle,
and you know, compared to her Democrat colleagues on uh,
they're on you know, in in in Houston, in Harris County,
I think she's you know, doing pretty poorly. I wonder
if she's running again, but I hope not. But we'll
(35:43):
we'll definitely be watching them.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
Is that interesting even Democrats don't like her. I mean,
formers Houston mayor ANICEE. Parker is now running for Harris
County judge. It's a pretty good sign that even people
on the left don't like the direction Southeast Texas is
moving in. But you know, to that point, Christian, you're
one of the most devout followers of Jesus that I know.
As you know, I'm a Catholic. A lot of our
(36:06):
listeners are Christians and Jews, and there are Hindus out
there that listen to the show. None of us have
a religious institution exclusively for us, none of us have
a infrastructure exclusively for us. In the George Bush Airport,
as we should not if you go to Iah Airport.
It's an airport for everyone. I wouldn't assume there'd be
a synagogue or a Catholic church for Mass, or a
(36:28):
Christian church or some you know, Methodist or Lutheran institution.
Wouldn't make any sense. Yet Now, weirdly, Iah Airport has
what I mean, what sounds a lot to me like
a mosque. It's a Muslim gender segregated worship center. And
CARE is stoked about this.
Speaker 8 (36:46):
The Houston branch of the Council on American Islamic Relations
or CARE, is commending Houston Airports. This is for establishing
a new room to perform we'll do and prayer facilities
at George Bush Intercontinental Airport will who refers to the
purification whistlms performed before prayer. Located in Terminal deeps As,
the facilities offer a clean, peaceful space for daily prayers
(37:08):
and ablution. It is one of the first airports in
the US to offer such amenities.
Speaker 7 (37:14):
Did you know that Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport has a
full mosque?
Speaker 6 (37:18):
Come check it out with them.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
Located across from Gate D sixteen. They offer both men
and women prayer areas. When you first go and you
enter directly into the Wadou area. This is absolutely crazy.
I don't understand this at all. I don't understand why
it's there. I don't understand who paid for it. But
apparently now that is a thing Christian, that's our airport.
Why isn't a mosque?
Speaker 9 (37:41):
You know, I think it's really interesting that this is happening.
I mean, I think this is not guitar. This is Houston, Texas.
So I am definitely going to look more into this.
But what I can say assuredly is I would understand
like an interface a place to pray for all religions
that we make more sense, but you know, just to.
Speaker 6 (38:03):
Have one particular religion in it, be Islam.
Speaker 9 (38:06):
I think that's really interesting and it just goes to
show that's the direction leadership there at the airport as
well as you know, leadership in Houston is becoming more
progressive and becoming more anti Christian.
Speaker 2 (38:21):
I would say, I don't know. As a lover of
the First Amendment, I will tell you Christian, I don't
have a problem with Muslims. I don't have a problem
with I have a problem with Shariah. I have a
problem with Islamists. I don't understand that at all. I
don't think that's compliant with my politics are secular. My
religion is Catholic. Those are two different things, right, I'm
not asking for a Catholic government. I'm asking for a
(38:43):
you know, a representative republic that's based on democratic principles.
I don't feel like what we're seeing here is you know,
I feel like there are people in Islam because that's
what it is. It's its own political It's an ideology
based on a theology that is not compatible with Western culture.
And you know, I don't know if you've thought deeply
(39:04):
about that before that that's just my opinion. I wonder
what your thoughts are on that.
Speaker 4 (39:08):
Well.
Speaker 9 (39:08):
You know, I think the best approach for most Muslims
is a moderate one. That you know, I hope that
most Muslims would be moderate in their views, because if
they take their own religion seriously, then I don't know
that you know, a lot of their views, like you said,
are very compatible with Western civilization. I mean this, this
entire construct of America was built on Judeo Christian values.
(39:31):
And you know, just the things that we have in
our text and the things that are in the Kouran
are very different and so different approaches and you know,
better suited. This country's much better suited for those Judeo
Christian values.
Speaker 2 (39:47):
Man, I appreciate your time this afternoon. Christian Collins is
on x He's on Facebook, He's on Instagram. Christian. A
lot of people have been asking about what is going
on with you this summer, you know, here in our
little circle of political activist and journalists and strategist here
in Southeast Texas. And a lot of people have asked me,
because I'm your friend, what you're up to right now?
And I guess the best answer to give them would
(40:09):
be that you're working hard on the Texas Youth Summit
and if that continues to be your main priority, right.
Speaker 6 (40:15):
That continues to be my main priority. And I'll say,
you know, I've been blessed to have.
Speaker 9 (40:20):
A lot of people ask me to run for office,
and that is an awesome experience, just to know that
people appreciate the good work that you're doing as a
grassroots leader. And what I can say about that is,
I mean, there's going to be some shakeup coming up
in about a week and a half in the Texas
legislature where they're going to be redrawing the lines. They're
(40:40):
doing this because a President Trump's team wants to keep
President Trump in the majority. And in Wisconsin and in
other places like in California, Democrats have talked about or
they may redraw the lines there to favor Democrats. So
in Texas, they're going to do some things with the
you know, the lines here to go from maybe you know,
(41:02):
plus sixty something districts that are Republican too, maybe plus
fifty seven percent or so.
Speaker 6 (41:09):
And what that'll do, in effect.
Speaker 9 (41:10):
Is maybe some of these districts like Lizzy Fletcher's district
in Houston may become a Republican district, as well as
two down in South Texas, as well as one in
Austin and maybe one in Dallas. So we're looking at
a really different layout and maybe some of the lines
will be withdrawn. So I'm keeping my powder drying on
and watch exactly what's happening, and I'm praying about everything
(41:34):
and gearing up for what's next.
Speaker 6 (41:37):
So just keep me in your prayers.
Speaker 2 (41:39):
Yeah, absolutely, as always, Christian, you're a good friend, my man.
Of course I will. The Texas Tribute makes it sound
like Jasmine Crockett of Dallas, Greg Czar of Austin, and
Al Green from here in Houston could be the most
at risk. I mean, stop teasing me with a good time.
I don't know, it's hard to believe that's true. I
hope that's true, but I don't know. Are they just
(41:59):
trying to dok feared into the liberals that read their
news outlet? What do you think?
Speaker 9 (42:04):
Well, those would be some of the most vocal people
that would have a huge problem with it. But I mean,
I think it's more likely that the two districts in
South Texas we're President Trump won you know, we're looking
at maybe you know, to say Texas twenty eight, Texas
thirty four. Mayra Flores is actually running in Texas twenty eight,
and you know, you have.
Speaker 6 (42:23):
Some of these districts in West Texas.
Speaker 9 (42:26):
Jody Errington, August Sklueger, you know Ronnie Jackson among those
who have very conservative districts. So if it's already an
R plus two where she's running, and Henry Quaar, by
the way, he's under indictment, he's an interesting candidate as
a Democrat being that he's under indictment. So I mean
a district like that could change up. You know, the
(42:49):
district that she ran in before could change up. Texas
thirty four. I don't know exactly where it would be
in Austin, but I think it would be Texas thirty
two in Dallas, And I really do think it would
be Texas seventh district. That would probably change. And you know,
so there's gonna be some shakes with the lines I'm here.
Speaker 6 (43:08):
I mean, I can't.
Speaker 9 (43:09):
You can't quote me on this and say that it's
definitely going to be that. Only President Trump's team knows.
But just insider information that I've gotten from different people
who are paying attention, this is what they're feeling.
Speaker 2 (43:20):
So, my brother Christian Collins, folks, once again Texas Youth
Summit dot com. The lineup coming up in September looks amazing.
Tickets are available right now. Adults are encouraged to attend.
You get a hotel room, come hang with us for
the evening. They got a great restaurant and a bar.
There plenty of strategists, journalists, politicians, elected officials will be
(43:40):
hanging out at this. But of course, if you have
a college aged kid, if you have a high school
age kid, that's the primary focus. Get them out to
this thing helps show them the truth about what is
really happening in our world, in our government, in our nation,
so that somebody else doesn't explain it to them the
incorrect way. If you can educate them first the right way,
somebody else won't be able to brainwash them with a
(44:02):
bunch of toxic slop later on the Texas Heathsima dot Com.
That's a good place to go right now. I'm Kenny Webster.
I love you all. Thank you so much for tuning
in this afternoon. We'll be back brain early tomorrow morning
for more of what you bought a radio for. Right
here on KPRC nine point fifty.
Speaker 5 (44:21):
You are listening to the Pursuit of Happiness Radio. Tell
the government to kiss your ass when you listen to
this show.
