Speaker 2 (00:22):
All right, please reunited. An escaped pigeon with its owner
in Texas. The pigeon thought what the cops did was
really cool him Now, I know, I know.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
I'm sorry. I shouldn't have told it's a bad joke.
Speaker 4 (00:34):
Kai.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
Thanks for turning on the radio, everybody.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Obviously, we're gonna be talking about Charlie Kirk this afternoon,
but there's a lot of other things happening around the
state as well that have him beginning a ton of
coverage because the last forty eight hours have been so
devastating for people in right wing media. We're gonna talk
about some of those things, including the wild You know what.
You know what Charlie Kirk did. It was his job
to go out in combat leftism at universities around the country,
(00:58):
well here in the state of Texas, there are a
lot of examples of far left extremism ideology. What is essentially,
it's not education, it's in doctrination, and we're going to
talk about it, so stick around for that. Michael Quinn
Sullivan stopping by texascorecard dot Com is his website. Brandon
Darby will be here from Breitbart Texas with all the
latest from a Navy scandal Nope, not our Navy Mexico
(01:21):
Mexican Navy scandal, plus iced deportations in Houston, and a
lot more. Courtney Trevino will be coming by the show
in just a little bit. She's the president of the
Houston Young Republicans. I'm sure you know what we're going
to be talking about. But on that note, can I
just point out here there's a Breitbart dot com when
a Brandon's website has a story today about all the
times the corporate media is eager to dehumanize us into
(01:45):
something that demands killing. They call us fascists, they call
us Nazis, misogynists, whatever it may be. The violent and
often deadly attacks on conservatives just keep coming. There's a
lot of examples of this we're putting We put together
a list, and I'm sure I missed some stuff here,
but there are so many different examples of it. September
twenty twenty five. We all know Turning Point USA founder
(02:06):
Charlie Kirk was assassinated in Utah.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
You've heard the story, did you know that?
Speaker 2 (02:11):
Back in April of this year, Turning Point USA students
were assaulted at the University of California, Davis. A group
of conservative students were violently attack They had their equipment
destroyed when masked protesters came after them before an event
on the California University campus. Not far away from there,
not far away from here, in a little state called
(02:31):
New Mexico, same time period, April twenty twenty five, there
was an arson attack at the Republican headquarters. The suspect
behind an arson attack on the headquarters building of the
New Mexico Republican Party and the firebombing of the New
Mexico Tesla dealership has been revealed to be an ANTIFA
supporter Jamison Wagner, aged forty, charged in connection with the
(02:52):
February ninth arsen attack at the Tesla Albuquerque showroom. Turns
out he tried it again in March at the New
Mexico GOP headquarters. Gosh, who keeps telling these people it's
okay to attack Republicans? Well, nobody told them that, They
said it was okay to attack Nazis. Oh, I'm getting
it now, all right. September of last year, former President
(03:14):
Trump recounted how the harrowing moments the Secret Service agents
engaged in a ledged assault by a would be assassin
at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach.
That was the second assassination attempt to the president last year.
The first was in July. That's when a bullet hit
his ear. We all know that story. It's probably the
reason he won the election. And let's not kid ourselves.
(03:38):
The fact that they murdered Charlie Kirk this week is
probably the reason the Republicans are going to win the
midterms next year. I'm sure a lot of us would
have rather kept Charlie. We didn't have the choice. But
I do remember in April of twenty twenty three, when
swimming star Riley Games was assaulted by a transgender mob
at a Turning Point USA event that happened in San
(03:58):
Francisco State Universe. June of twenty twenty two, an assassination
attempt was made on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. People
were angry about Roe v. Wade being overturned. Same month,
twenty three pro life organizations were vandalized and firebombed by
pro abortion activists all over the country. May twenty twenty,
(04:20):
rioters assaulted a Breitbart reporter and another journalist outside the
White House. October twenty eighteen to Minnesota. Republican candidates were
assaulted in Minnesota September twenty eighteen. A month earlier, the
Republican headquarters was hit with an arson attack in Laramie, Wyoming,
November twenty seventeen. Remember this Senator Ram Paul attacked by
(04:43):
his neighbor. There's so many examples I didn't even have
time to get to here. I'm beginning to notice a
pattern of behavior. They'll tell you right wingers are dangerous
and that our rhetoric is causing violence, But causing violence
with who they're the violent ones.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
This is Kenny Webster's pursuit of happy dig It.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
All right, this is a classic. This is spinal Tap,
the new movies out today, Spinal Tap. The end continues.
You gotta admit that is a very funny name for
a movie. And even though it's supposed to be selling,
it's supposed to be a statement that doesn't make any
sense if you think about it.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
It kind of does make sense, isn't it weird?
Speaker 2 (05:18):
However, we think we're done weeding out the leftist and
doctrination from our publicly funded higher education institutions here in
the state of Texas. There's always another story. Surely that
should be the end of this. Nope, the end continues,
just like the new spinal tap movie. Lieutenant Governor Dan
Patrick is questioning Texas A and M's president's removal or
(05:42):
the possibility of it. As you guys know, there was
a little uproar over the past week or so. There
was a professor at Texas A and M who was
teaching young early childhood education kids, teaching people how to
educate children as young as three. Well, what would you
want a three year old to learn about? Probably blocks, reading,
a math, basic stuff, counting. Turns out now transgenderism is
(06:03):
what they were teaching. A conservative student objected. That conservative
student was removed from class. And if I'm not mistaken,
was he blackmailed or was he bribed? Michael quinn Sullivan
of Texas coorecard what happened with the conservative student?
Speaker 5 (06:18):
Yeah, so the student was told, you know you've got
to leave, you know, your your objection we don't care
about your objections. Get out. I think that there there
was the offer of you know, we'll we'll just give
you a passing grade on the test. But the young
lady who recorded all this, like, now wait a second,
you know I want this class.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
I need this class.
Speaker 5 (06:37):
I need I need the information that we are allegedly
going to be getting out of. But I just don't
want you to be indoctrinating me and my classmates. And
how to you know, push the LGBT agenda on three
four and five year olds. We're so let's talk about
children's literature, not your weird fetishes as a left wing professor.
(06:59):
So the student actually went got an appointment, went in
to see Mark Welsh, the left wing DEI promoting Obama's
guy and the Pentagon now President of Texas A and M,
who berated the student saying that you know, these classes
are important. You need to know LGB. You need to
(07:21):
have LGB in doctrination down pat if you're going to
be a school superintendent. Just kind of what he said,
but rating her for reporting it the only way anyone
knows about it. She recorded everything and then now all
this happened back in the summer, you know, the past
couple couple of weeks, it's been released and suddenly, you know,
people are uh, you know, there's some there's some hooplog
(07:43):
going around. It would have been completely ignored if this
young lady hadn't had the had the foresight realized I
need to protect myself from what these bad people are doing.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
All right, so clearly they need some new leadership. Everything's rotten, right.
There's a restaurant down the street from my house. I
like eating there, Michael, because they have good food. But
every time I might eat there, I get bad service.
There's a reason why. It's not like every waiter is bad.
It's because the management's bad. That's how it is now.
Recently State Senator Brandon Creton took over at Texas Tech University.
(08:12):
I've had a handful of listeners ask me if he
could run A and M instead. But you're an aggie.
How would you feel about a guy that graduated from
UT being in charge of.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
A and M.
Speaker 5 (08:24):
The single most important thing, sing the most important quality
in the present of onndy's major institutions is not you
know what you know, what school they went to? What
hunk of gold sits on their on their you know,
ring hand whatever. Those things are less important than are
they going to adhere not only to the laws of Texas, which,
by the way, instructing people how to doctrinate, you know,
(08:47):
young children is is against the law in Texas, by
the way, but but also are they want to adhere
to the values of Texas. Just because something may may
not be illegal doesn't mean it's the thing to be
doing right. And I think that's what is most important,
So I couldn't care less. And then many presidents of
(09:07):
Texas A and M have not been aggies. That's actually
a fairly new thing for institutions to pull from their
own ranks to have have presence because in parts you
want some new blood. You want someone coming in who's
not beholden to, you know, maybe some bad things that
were done in the past and just you know, dressed
up this tradition. You want someone wo's going to come
(09:29):
in with it with clear eyes and is going to say,
we need to fix these problems so that we can
live up to our mission in adherence to our values.
And currently Mark Welsh is not doing that.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
No, he's not all right. So anybody you can think
of off the top of your head. We could replace
him with I mean, obviously Brandon's busy at Texas Tech.
Speaker 5 (09:47):
Now, I'll tell you what, if you open the Houston
phone book and you start flipping pages, You're probably going
to find someone better. Certainly, go to Conro, Certainly, you
go to like to you know, up in the Metroplex.
You know, I mean, there's a whole lot of parts
of the city you could you could randomly pick someone.
And I think that in part that's the It is
(10:09):
less important to decide who the next prison is than
to recognize A and M has now picked a couple
stinkers in a row. The last president, a lady named
Catherine Banks. Texans scorecard played a role in her being
kicked out because she was also pushing all this DEI
woke nonsense, thinking that she could get away with it,
(10:30):
and of course she could not. And unfortunately the Board
of Regents just replaced one left winger with another left winger,
the difference being that while Katie Banks was a was
was a female left winger. Uh Mark Welsh is as
a former Air Force general you know, so, oh hey,
he must be conservative because he once wore uniform no.
(10:53):
As a general in the Air Force. He was the
guy pushing Obama's DEI agenda in the Air Force. That's
the reason made him a general was so that he
could push DEI content into the service Academy and other place.
So Mark Wells long known as as a left winger.
But the border we can tire them anyway. Sounds like
maybe in addition to the present, maybe we need the
(11:14):
governor to ask some serious questions about who is appointing
to the boards of regents at these various universities.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
Wow, Texas scorecard dot com. You guys have become like
the Scooby Doo Gang, like Mystery Inc. For weeding out
liberalism from some of these universities. And I would have
gotten away with it too if it wasn't for your
little news blog.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
Michael. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (11:34):
Now look, I mean the good news is that we've
spent a lot of time bagging on on Texas A
and m You know, as you mentioned, Texas Tech is
doing some really great things making sure that their mission
and their content is aligning with the values of Texas.
You've got a leadership team there at Texas and I'm
saying this is an aggie right, I'm saying This is
(11:55):
a guy who is genetically predisposed to dislike Texas Tech.
Texas Tech because do some amazing things and making sure
their students are going in getting the information and the
tools they need to be successful without all of the
leftist nonsense. Now Texas State, they're in San Marcos, part
of the Texas State University system. It's like seven institutions
(12:16):
including Texas State. This passed one one week ago. You
had a professor from Texas State at the Revolutionary Socialism
Conference what could go wrong? And in his speech talking
about being a professor at Texas State that you know,
we need organizations so that we can overthrow the US government.
He said, right, So Ward gets out about his little speech,
(12:39):
and earlier this week, yesterday, he was fired from his position.
Speaker 4 (12:44):
Just like that.
Speaker 5 (12:45):
You know, there wasn't going to have to be a
whole series of hand ringing. And you know, the governor
being involved in Texas State just the right thing. So
while Texas A and m is A is a maroon
painted dumpster fire, we do have a institutions, public institutions
in Texas that are trying it appears to do the
right thing.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
I like it.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
Meanwhile, in San Marcos, Texas State University has terminated a
professor who called for overthrowing the US government over the weekend.
I mean, it's stupid, it's obvious you needed to fire
this guy. But also at the same time, isn't it
amazing how ambitious these communists are when they're talking versus what.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
This guy's not going to overthrow the government. He's a leftist.
They're too lazy.
Speaker 5 (13:29):
Yeah, I'll tell you it's funny. You see the video
of this guy and the dumpy little dude who if
you saw at the AGB you'd probably say, hey, can
I hold that box of cereal? Looks really heavy, you know.
But there he is, you know, a big, big, tough
guy talking with his fellow comrades. You really have to
watch the video because it really is everything that you
(13:50):
imagine these people are is what they are at they're
in their conferences. But as we have seen very tragically
this week, the flat amatory rhetorick does actually have an impact.
From the less inflammatory rhetoric does have an impact on people,
and it does inspire things. So when you've got a
professor at one of the state's leading institutions saying overthrow
(14:12):
the US government. He probably won't. But who's he inspiring,
who's he encouraging, who is he impacting with that kind
of language?
Speaker 2 (14:21):
All right, I'm sure this won't surprise anybody at all,
not even a little bit. But at U T Austin
and at the University of North Texas, there have been
incidents of students, educators, various people on campus denigrading, criticizing
Charlie Kirk celebrating the death of the conservative activist and
(14:41):
college conservative youth leader. But apparently there is a state
lawmaker that is now reacting to the news, State Representative
Tom Oliverson from Cyprus.
Speaker 3 (14:51):
What's going on there?
Speaker 5 (14:53):
Yeah, so Tom Oliverson of Cypress, and then Andy Hopper
from Decatur, Indy Hopper looking at University of North Texas,
Tom Oliverson looking at the University of Texas Austin, saying
that what is it that you are doing in your
schools where your students and your teaching assistants and your
professors all feel like they have to pring for each
(15:15):
other by mocking a man who has been shot, erupting
in cheers when it's announced that he's dead, You know,
what are you doing where people in the in the
culture of your institution thinks that that is that's the
kind of behavior that needs to be celebrated and encouraged.
And I think that's where, you know, if nothing else
(15:38):
happens out of Charlie Kirk's murder, the assassination of Charlie Kirk,
hopefully there is a renewed emphasis on this idea of
looking at these college campuses, looking at these universities, and
looking at the at the at this violent rhetoric that
is aimed in one direction, same that everyone on the right,
(16:01):
this violent, violent and it's it's one thing when it's
some toothless goober who doesn't know how to tie shoes.
You know who you know back in the seventies, you know,
voted for Pat Buchanan or something. Now, when you're talking
about college professors, when you're talking about you know, cable
news pundits, when you're talking about members of the US
(16:21):
Senate using this kind of language, when you're you can
only call Donald Trump a Nazi and a tyrant so
many times before people start thinking it's there, it's their
patriotic duty to do bad things to the supporters of
Donald Trump. You know, all this rhetoric has to coming
from the left has had. You know, we've watched it
(16:44):
for the past year and a half, the horrible, horrible
tragedies and near tragedies, including attacks on Democrats. Remember the
guy who attacked Nancy Pelosi's husband was inspired by a
left wing ideology. The Minnesota a lawmaker who was again
killed by a left winger I mean, and that part
(17:05):
knew the Democrat. So we have to demand that the
left do some soul searching with their rhetoric. You know,
I'm glad you brought up I guess I assume that
assumes they have a soul. That's a different thing.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
I'm glad you brought up the Minnesota thing because they
blamed Trump for that, just like they blamed the Pelosi attacker.
But the guy that attacked the state lawmakers in Minnesota
earlier this year worked for Tim Walls. He was in
the administration of the Democrat governor. But that being said,
let's pretend he was a Republican because I don't claim
to know the guy. It still doesn't change the fact
that after those two state senators got shot, there was
(17:38):
not a conservative, a right wing populist, a Republican, a libertarian,
a nationalist, a constitutionalist anywhere in the country celebrating them
getting shot. I didn't witness that, and if there was,
I would have. I would have verbally roasted that guy
on the radio on social media. That is one thing
conservatives did not do. But boy, Michael, the vast difference
(17:59):
between that and the reaction to Charlie Kirk and an
overwhelmingly large number of mainstream Democrats loud and outspoken in
their celebration of the fact that Charlie Kirk died.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
We are not the same as the other side.
Speaker 5 (18:15):
Yeah, we're not the same as the side. I think
there's the Rafael and Shea, a Democrat from Dallas State representative,
put out this finger wagging He's one of the guys
who's more than happy to stand in the well of
the legislature and condemn Republicans as fascist, racists, unworthy of
(18:36):
breathing oxygen and everything else. But you know, he put
out the finger wagging tweet last night. Oh you know,
Republicans shouldn't be blaming Democrats for the culture they've created.
What are you talking about? You know you've got Aaron Zeener,
another Democrat state rep who is angry that Texas State
fired this professor calling for the overthrow of the US government.
(18:59):
She thinks that it okay for professors to to advocate
the overthrow of the US government. Apparently, I mean these
people are crazy. Well, no, it's wrong. They're not crazy,
and must be very claricy. I think it's very easy
for us to take the cop out and say, O, well,
they're just crazy, there's something wrong with the million. No, no,
this is evil, and we have to start being willing
(19:19):
to say this is evil. This isn't crazy, this isn't
a difference of opinion. We're not the same side in
a different side to the same coin. No, this is evil,
and we need to call out evil when we see
it and call it evil for evil. It might not
be popular, but it's the right thing to do. The
only way we combat evil is my exposing Yet.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
I'm glad you pointed that out there because I think
that's valid. Obviously it's crazy, evil is crazy. That doesn't
make it okay. That was the defense they gave after
that guy on the light rail attacked the Ukrainian refugee.
They said, well, you know he was having a mental
health episode, so what so what if he's having a
mental put.
Speaker 3 (19:53):
Him in prison. Stop releasing crazy people.
Speaker 2 (19:55):
If they're crazy enough to attack people, then whatever word
you want to use to describe it, whatever or adjective
we pick, they still belong in jail. And on that note, Michael,
I am glad you guys are covering these stories. People
think that this is just an a Oh, it just
happened in Utah, it just happened in North Carolina. No,
this kind of this mentality, this insane evil rhetoric, the
insane evil, the thought process that goes through these people.
(20:18):
It's happening in the universities around the state of Texas.
You're the only ones I see reporting on it. Where
would I if I wanted to get more information like this?
Does it cost a lot of money to subscribe to
your newspaper, your newsletter?
Speaker 1 (20:30):
It does not.
Speaker 5 (20:31):
We'd love for folks to jump on for free at
texascorecard dot com, where they can keep up with the
latest news impacting the Lone Star State. They can get
my daily email. Of course, folks can follow us on
Twitter and x and Facebook and Instagram and TikTok.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
And all those kind of places to people think that
that it doesn't matter the effort that goes into calling
the like it matters no may. Michael has ended the
career of many a corrupt politician. He has helped to
get terrible professors, people that are clearly breaking the law
removed from their position of authority or influence over young
people taking our money away as Texas taxpayers and using
(21:07):
it to do something we don't agree with. And to that,
I say, Texas Scorecard dot Com is one of the
most important, if not the most important, news outlet covering
Texas state politics.
Speaker 3 (21:17):
Michael Quinnsullivan. Check out their website and follow him on X.
Speaker 5 (21:21):
If I were you, I'd stay put Kenny, You'll be
right back with more of what you came for.
Speaker 3 (21:26):
You know, fart Jo, you know you've heard it. You
know we'll be right back. Don't go anywhere.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
Three servings of French fries a week raises the risk
of diabetes like twenty percent. Wow, that's crazy. That means
this week I raise my risk of diabetes by sixty percent.
Speaker 3 (21:46):
Sounds like some Texas justice to me. Oh Lockett and.
Speaker 6 (21:49):
Now live from the Border, It's Breitbart's Brandon Darby with
the Cartel Chronicles only on KPRC Radio.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
Yes, Breitbart dot Com, Breitbart Texas, the Cartel Chronicles. You know,
Brandon Darby, he's that fascist, garbage Nazi. He's been running
that Guard, he's been running that fascist news website for
over a decade, calling in and telling us about what's
going on at the border.
Speaker 3 (22:14):
Fascist Brandon Darby, how are you this afternoon, sir.
Speaker 5 (22:18):
I'm doing all right, man.
Speaker 4 (22:20):
I just hope that you know that I'm identified as
a fascist. I just hope that there are no less
leading people who feel that I should be murdered for it.
Speaker 3 (22:31):
Isn't that crazy? I was looking at statistics earlier. They
did a poll and they.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
Asked black people, brown people, I hate that they call
him that. And then white people in Chicago, how do
you feel about Donald Trump sending the National Guard and
ice agents to Chicago? And more than half of the
black people said, yeah, we'd like to have the National
Guard and federal agents here. More than half of the
Hispanic Latino whatever you call him, brown people, that's how
(22:56):
they were referred to, said yeah, we'd like Donald Trump
to come. And then the number of white people in
Chicago who wanted Trump to send agents there to protect
the city was something like thirty percent. Now, isn't that
interesting in Chicago, the white neighborhood's safe. Of course, they
don't want Donald Trump to come police the streets.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
What do they care?
Speaker 4 (23:14):
Right, right, This is what we see your receivers constantly,
where we see white left leading people, White liberals constantly,
you know, tried to project and protect communities of color,
and it turns out that communities of color don't get
(23:34):
no degree. Like we saw that on the border with
Donald Trump. You know, the white liberals along the border
were so outraged at Trump that most of the people
of color along the border, you know, voted for so
bitty Good. And you see a pass that we saw
it with lat bex right, I did the one person
who had brown skinned or brown hair, who had relatives
(23:57):
from Mexico, or who had in a side as Latino,
who used the word LATINX. But I knew a bunch
of white liberals who did. And so you know, we
could go all the way back to my experiences in
New Orleans where you had you know, white liberals showing
up to help, and they did help black residents of
New Orleans. But one of the things that they also
(24:20):
did was they tried to make sure that you know,
the kitchens only served vegetarian food because they wanted to
teach the people of New Orleans to eat right. They
tried to tell the people of New Orleans not to
say hey baby when they were talking, even though that's
a common New Orleans, Louisiana slag, especially in the black community,
to call people terms of a deer that especially young ladies.
(24:42):
But they wanted to make sure they spoke correctly. Right.
And what you see is, you know, they say we're
the racist, but yet they're the ones constantly feeling like
communities of color indeed need white liberals to correct there.
And you know it's actually they're the ones that gave
you to get a soft forma bigotry.
Speaker 3 (25:02):
You know, you reminded me of something years ago.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
Joe Biden I think, was giving a speech about how
black men didn't know how to use condoms. And isn't
there a common talking point the leftists have about why
we can't have voter ID laws because black people don't
know how to get a driver's license. I mean, that's
those are things white liberals, particularly from academia, came up with,
aren't they.
Speaker 4 (25:25):
Well, there's not a lot about George W. Bush that
that are I'm a huge fan of But one of
the things he did discuss was the soft bigotry of
lower expectations, right, and I would say that they had
gauge it a form of bigotry where they expect less
of black people or broad people. Already what is not white,
(25:48):
it is, in fact be racist.
Speaker 3 (25:51):
Here's Joe Biden, the last president.
Speaker 7 (25:53):
I spent last summer going through the black sections of
my town, holding rallies in parks, trying to get black
men to understand it is not unmanly to wear a condom,
getting women understand they can say no, getting people in
the position where testing matters.
Speaker 2 (26:10):
I don't want to be the one to bring it up,
but I'm pretty sure the reason people don't wear condoms
isn't because of how manly it is.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
Brandon, but I don't know. Don't tell him that, I guess, right.
Speaker 4 (26:21):
Yeah, I think it has order to do with the
way it feels to that wear wood.
Speaker 5 (26:27):
But right, hey, whatever, Joe.
Speaker 3 (26:29):
Yeah, whatever, All right, let's talk about this.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
You brought up Mexico and down at the border right
now just below the you know, the well in Mexico.
Speaker 3 (26:37):
I didn't.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
You're the only people reporting on this fuel, bribes and bloodshed.
Mexico's navy scandal sparked speculation of targeted killings to block
a probe. Apparently there was an illegal sale and importing
of fuel in the Mexican Navy, and.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
It's apparently caused people to get killed.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
Two recent deaths within the naval institution have sparked widespread
speculation about targeted killings to cover up this little scandal.
There's expected to be two hundred arrests. Brandon, You're one
of the only people I hear reporting on this. The
Mexican government, the Mexican Navy so corrupt compared to the
American government, and I feel like the American government was
corrupt enough as it is.
Speaker 4 (27:16):
Right. Well, okay, so we talk about this all the time.
In Mexico, everything's for sale. There's a long history of
these elite militaristic groups in Mexico who are supposed to
fight cartels ultimately succumbing to the heads upon tens of
billions of dollars that are spent on bribes in Mexico
(27:38):
per year by these drug cartels. This happens every step
of the way. It's beginning to happen to the Mexican Bavy.
It's actually been happening for many years to the Mexican Bavy,
but just on smaller, more localized scales, and so it's
beginning to happen there as well. That's why I always
(27:59):
say this. You know, liberals, generally, democrats generally, what to
try and treat Mexico as though we're dealing with an equal,
as though we're dealing with a Western and we're dealing
with Western Europe, or dealing with Canada, and you cannot
because it is a fragile narco state and you cannot.
Speaker 5 (28:21):
Treat it equally.
Speaker 4 (28:22):
That is why when there's a problem in Canada, we
rely on our partners in Canada to authorities there to
deal with it. We cannot rely on our authorities in
Mexico to deal with things because they go to the
highest bidder, generally speaking, and so we cannot rely on them.
That's why I do not have a problem with you know,
(28:45):
the CIA, or with with other intelligence agencies or law
enforcement agencies doing things outside of the purview of the
Mexican government on Mexican soil, because they are not our equal.
They are It is not like we're going into Canada,
are eglid or France or the other lords are doing that.
It is a fragile Darco state, all.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
Right, I mean that is why Well said.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
Meanwhile, back here in Texas, ICE Houston just arrested eight
hundred and twenty two criminal aliens in a week long sweep.
We're talking about gang members, child predators. When Texas Democrats
get upset about ICE agents arresting and deporting people in
places like Harris County, Brandon, I can't help but notice
they never point out how the people getting arrested and
(29:30):
deported and detained and the very illegals these Texas Democrats
are trying to protect are literally child predators. Why when
is this insanity stop?
Speaker 4 (29:41):
Well, I think part of it stems from, you know,
there are quotas with their federal law enforcement agencies right
now as far as the numbers they need to keep
the numbers up of people getting deported, and so probably
the majority of people in those numbers are not If
you look at the the way the government frames it,
(30:01):
they say among the you know, eight hundred people, among
the child predators, YadA, YadA, and all of those things
are true. However, probably the majority are guys who were
living in a house and on their way to go
bow yards or go work or whatever. They're not the
majority or not child predators. So unfortunately, you cannot wrap
(30:25):
up the child predators without wrapping up a lot of
other people. And all of them are here illegally, right So,
and unfortunately you cannot have a situation where people can
come to illegally and not include people who are also
child predators or killers or bad people. So it's just
(30:46):
it's it's unfortunate in a way that there are people
who are working their rear ends off and who aren't
bad people who get caught up in it. But you know, again,
it's the situation is what it is. And there are
a lot of really bad Aubreys so to speak, who
are getting sent out of our country now because of
(31:08):
these policies.
Speaker 5 (31:08):
And that's a good thing, all right.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
One more story today, I see you guys covering on
Breitbart Texas. A Facebook post by Houston's ABC thirteen news
station announcing the death of Charlie Kirk was filled with
a comments section where hundreds of leftists proclaim their joy
over his death. I know ABC thirteen obviously home to
Maya Shay, the wife of State Representative Gene Wu. Rather
(31:34):
than reacting to what these idiots are saying here, I'd
love to ask you while we have a little bit
of time left here, brand and you knew Charlie. I
know you guys did speaking events together. I did speaking
events with him. When Charlie was an eighteen year old.
He wrote an article for Andrew Breitbart. He was a
long time ago, as a young man, he was writing
stories for that website, just like you have, just like
I have. You've met him in passing anything, You'll remember
(31:57):
anything you want to say.
Speaker 4 (32:00):
Well, first off, I just want to say, you know,
my heart is deeply satd for his family and for
everyone to do him. My heart is also deeply fatted
for every person who opened up social media and without
warning solved that graphic video of him dying. I feel
(32:20):
horrible for his children. You know, we publish and we
understand at Breitbart, you know, we understand the importance of
graphic imagery. We understand that in order to show people
how horrific things are in Mexico, we publish a lot
of graphic things. However, there's a warning that it's graphic, right,
(32:43):
and people have a choice whether to look or not look,
and so many, you know, hundreds of millions of people
I've seen that video and without a choice of whether
or not to look, it just hit it in the face.
And I feel statted that his children will grow up
some day seeing that video of their father. I feel
(33:04):
saddened that his parents had probably seen it, and everyone
who loves him, whether it be his family members or
are just people who worked for him or who doing
him through his work, that they had to see their
friend or their medtor die that way. I'm pretty disturbed
by that imagery, as I'm sure everyone else is. He's
(33:27):
seen it. I wish that it was not done that way.
I wish that countless people did it reshare it just
to get traffic on their own Twitter pages? I think
it's a bit selfish to do it that way, And
so there's yeah, I just feel for them, and regarding
(33:51):
the ABC thirteen post and holding them accountable for the comments.
I just want to remind people that, you know, Twitter
x has been all the hate site because it has
combents that are hateful by the people who go to
Blue Sky and what have you. Breitbart has been called
the hate site because people leave combats that sometimes are hateful.
(34:14):
So to hold Left of Cider Media accountable for the
facts that they have hateful combents on their Facebook pages.
They're to hold Blue Sky accountable because it has hateful combats.
Celebrating the death of this young father on their platform
is perfectly acceptable. To hold them accountable, to hold them
(34:35):
by their own standards.
Speaker 2 (34:37):
Brandon Darby Brekbart Texas is the website. Follow him on
x for all the latest information from the border and
throughout the state of Texas.
Speaker 3 (34:47):
Hey, it's me the Donald. You're listening to the Pursuit
of Happiness radio.
Speaker 4 (34:52):
Ward from the Radio Games.
Speaker 3 (34:55):
More spinal Tap music. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (34:57):
I'm just excited the movies out today. It's hard to
be happy today. I have concert tickets for later tonight.
There's a new movie coming out this weekend I want
to see. And still it's hard to be happy. It's
been a bad week, guys. You know what happened with Charlie.
And then of course yesterday, the anniversary, the twenty third
anniversary of September eleventh. I tell this story on the
morning show, so I'll be brief. But I got a
(35:18):
phone call yesterday from my cousin Will. Will garavusso very Italian.
I'm from Chicago. He's from New York. He calls me yesterday.
I said, Kenny, Kenny, you know I'm from Brooklyn. I
was in New York on nine to eleven. And I
know you and all your Republican buddies. You're real sad today,
and I am too because of Charlie Cook. And you know,
I just want to remind everybody. We all remember September eleventh,
(35:39):
but don't forget about September twelfth. On September twelfth, I'm
doing the silly voice makes this sound less important.
Speaker 3 (35:44):
I won't do the voice.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
Will garavusso reminds me my cousin that on September twelfth
in New York City, Americans all over the country, of course,
in Manhattan and throughout the nation rose up, and they
were patriotic.
Speaker 3 (35:58):
We were united.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
People held up street signs that said the signs in
the street that said honk if you love America. Volunteers
went to downtown Manhattan so they can hand out bottled
water and sandwiches and clean up the garbage, helping first responders.
I don't see that kind of unity happening this week. Sadly,
My next guest is Courtney Trevino. She is the president
of Houston Young Republicans. You may recall she was on
(36:21):
the show several months ago when local city councilwoman Amy
Peck was accosted by a bunch of Palestinian activists. Amy
is a Jew, She's Jewish, She's a friend of mine.
I campaigned for her. I wanted her to get elected.
I think she's a very good member of the Houston
City Council. She's not an Israeli activist. She doesn't speak
publicly about Israel. As a member of the city council.
(36:42):
It's her job to go out and just decide where
are we going to put speed bumps, how much funding
do the police get?
Speaker 3 (36:48):
But for the crime of being a Jew.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
A Houston Young Republican meeting with her was interrupted and
Courtney came on to talk about it. Corney, it's awful
that you and I only talk to each other when
there's political violence. But it's happened again, And you guys
had a prayer vigil yesterday for the Houston Young Republicans,
didn't you, Yes, we sure did.
Speaker 6 (37:06):
We As the news broke out the day before, we
just really felted in our hearts a strong conviction that
we wanted to host a vigil and get people together.
And it's pretty amazing to see a lot of people
felt those same convictions across the country and so down
(37:27):
a location within a few hours. We put it out
at about noon yesterday, not really knowing what to expect,
and we had in just a few hours. We of
course had the location not public, and so my phone
rang the entire afternoon of people in the community who
were young Republicans, who didn't know about young Republicans, who
(37:50):
were not in the age group of young Republicans, but
just a felt the need to just come together in
community and unity. And it was a really beautiful time
with you know, not a lot of planning. God really
ordained you know, the right, uh, just everything to flow,
as if we had months and months of planning, you know,
(38:11):
to put it together. And we had a pastor come
out there, Richard Vega, and you know he knew Charlie
well Charlie actually he was involved in the faith action
part of Turning Point, and you know, just was able
to tell stories and just encourage us to keep going. Also,
I have a communications director on my young Republican Board,
(38:35):
and he was very excited to get his first job
in politics, and it was actually with Turning Point and
so they have a Houston, UH region that they're covering,
and so he brought out, you know, his colleagues and
friends and there's a lot of not a lot of
tears were shed, but also you know a lot of
(38:56):
love for for Charlie and the cause and all so
honoring you know, the great three thousand plus Americans that
we lost twenty four years ago.
Speaker 5 (39:06):
Yesterday.
Speaker 3 (39:06):
What a week it has been, Courtney.
Speaker 2 (39:08):
And you know, you're a young conservative activist, you're a
young conservative thought leader. You guys have already dealt with
violence at your events this year. You've already dealt with,
you know, threats to your own safety. Does this news
this week? Is this going to affect going forward to
how you guys handle security and safety at your meetings.
Speaker 5 (39:27):
That's a that's a great question.
Speaker 6 (39:29):
You know, a lot a lot of unknown and we
did get asked, you know, if they're if we were
going to have security yesterday. You know, it's sad that
in a public park. We were at Memorial Park, which
is a big running trail. There's hundreds and hundreds of
people run there each and every day. You know, a
place where you're supposed to be safe. We're in America.
(39:51):
We're young people who just want to gather and happen
to share similar beliefs, and so it is something that
is on our mind. You know. Unfortunately, fear does set in,
but we know that God hasn't given us a spirit
of fear, but of a sound mind.
Speaker 5 (40:08):
And so we.
Speaker 6 (40:10):
Are going to look into those proper precautions as needed.
And we were never gonna let our guard down. We
were you know, thankfully did have some people who were
not you know, in uniform yesterday, but you know, we
did want to take proper precautions because we know that,
you know, emotions are heightened, and you know, in a
(40:32):
public place like I said, where you you think you're safe,
you just never know, you know. We we were in prayer,
we close their eyes and bow our heads and we don't.
You know, it's sad to you know, have to worry
about what could happen as we saw a few weeks
ago with those children while they were also in in church,
(40:54):
and so yeah.
Speaker 3 (40:56):
Yeah, it's just terrible.
Speaker 2 (40:58):
Corny, you expressed that perfectly, Burny Travino Houston Young Republican Group.
If people want to get involved, where.
Speaker 5 (41:03):
Do they go?
Speaker 6 (41:04):
So I would encourage everyone to follow us on social media.
We have Instagram, Facebook, x We post everything that we
have upcoming there message our page. We have a news
letter that we send out every week just keeping everyone
up to date politically, everything going on in Harris County,
the state at the federal level. And we also have
(41:27):
our Young Republican Convention coming up next weekend. So it's
a great time to get involved and get connected with
Young Republicans all across the state of Texas, and you know,
just keep keep pressing forward as we know Charlie.
Speaker 5 (41:40):
Would have wanted us to.
Speaker 2 (41:41):
Corney absolutely agree with every word you just said. That's
Courtney Travino of the Houston Younger Republican Group. You can
also follow her on social media. To the rest of you,
I love you all. Thank you so much for joining
us this week and today and every day. You know,
go out there this weekend, celebrate life and love, but
find some time to go to church and of course
say a prayer because that's what Charlie would have wanted.
(42:07):
You are listening to the pursuit of happiness radial to
the government to kiss your ass when you listen to
this show.
