I didn't even know he was unwell, but Steve Harwell
from smash Mouth for lead singer has died. He was
only fifty six.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
Yes, his death was announced by his manager yesterday. He
said that he passed peacefully and comfortably. I mean, he said,
and this is true, that he loved to perform. He
lived one hundred percent, full throttle, burning brightly across the universe.
Before burning out.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
He had a bit of a battle of the bottle,
didn't he well.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
He said he was suffering from liver failure and they've
said he faced well. This is what we know. He
faced numerous other health issues in recent years. In twenty thirteen,
he was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, heart disease, and a neurological
disorder called acute Wernick encephalopathy which affected his speech and memory.
And also, yes, it said he suffered from alcoholism. So

(00:51):
he's battling a lot.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
And they weren't just all about All Star. You remember
All Star was at the start of Shrek and that
became a huge hit. The kids love all starts right
in the wheelhouse of Jim y Rye. I love it. Yeah,
So look at him.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
That's the happiest thing quite and also the saddest. You
were quite upset this morning at this news.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
He's having individual as we speak. But they weren't just
All Star.

They had other songs like walking on the Sun and
it was good sun welcome, what about can't get enough
of your.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Baby, Baby, great sad. I believe Shrek as well. He
was a little bit controversial as well, wasn't he in
his life, Because remember we got in trouble on stage
at twenty fifteen. Remember he was abusing the crowd. Someone
was throwing bread at him. Remember that you brought one

(01:47):
more piece.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Of ste I'm gonna come find your ouse. I'm going
to beat you rouse you are off there. I think
it is one of your your beach in the wrong
place there. I mean you've the wrong woundeds.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
I just think so he's passed away.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Do you need to play that bit?

Speaker 2 (02:17):
But it's just history.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
You invade poll once and everyone gives you.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Say, if you're a performer, never incite the crowd to
throw stuff at you. Never say I'll throw one more
thing at me. Never do that. But he was unwell,
of course, But if you're a performer, I'm just saying,
you're an upcoming performer and you're on stage, they could
be throwing anvils at you.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
You just got to accept it.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
That's that's that's rock and roll.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Baby says you who someone says, hey Jones, you're an
idiot and some of you.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
And don't throw bread at me because I'm avoiding cups.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Not very well. That was a joke. That was just
a joke.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
So we should play a song for as.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
You said, he's had all those incredible smash Mouse had
all those incredible songs. What are you gonna play?
