Speaker 2 (00:03):
Marke kemp Mark with an E reached out to us
E Mark Emak.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
He reached out to us yesterday.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Yeah, he was telling us about a fundraiser. It's called
Cars for Carinne. It's at Morris htt Showground August eleven,
eight two one and the money that is being raised
is going towards a woman called Karina Farrell or Farrell,
who has a fight with MS. He said he doesn't
know her very well, but she's done a lot of
fundraising stuff herself, especially for Westpac helicopters, and she's asked

(00:36):
for nothing, but he feels that she needs some stuff.
She's twenty nine years old, she's got five children under
the age of ten, and he's just observed what's happened
with that family and it's really touched him. I know
that they want some of that money to go for
stem cell treatment.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
Will a cue of what she's got, But she's when
she's been paying, she feels like she's been subversed like
a bar of cold water electric shocks. She's now stuff
in two strokes. I think in the last few years,
you know, she's eventually could end up in a wheelchair.
And the kids are looking after the younger kids like
they're changing nappy for them. They're getting a breakfitt, you know.

(01:13):
And they've got close standling members who who help, and
they're they're financially getting ruined, you know from all about
medical bills and stuff like that. He had a good job,
but all their money is just winning with Dwindley and
they need about eighty thousand dollars. She's got to go
funky page. I think it's up to twenty four, eight
hundred and eighty eight. I think people if they go
buy a coffee instead of buying a coffee for themselves.

(01:34):
But he stick eight dollars in there for you yan.
They need a few thousand people to get the money
back up.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
You know, it's true, and we to you guys are great.
We spoke to Mark as we said yesterday and we
brought up the information about the GoFundMe. People have donated
fifty dollars, ten dollars, one hundred dollars, two hundred dollars.
Thank you so very much for what you're doing. Well,
I'm going to donate and Jones and you said and

(01:59):
put in okay, well also, so her name is Karina
ce double RNA her go funding her page.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
So how do you get to the GoFundMe page? Where's that? Always?
Got some details on that would be helpful, girl.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
I have those details on our socials. The link is
up on our socials right. But I can't help thinking
about what family life is like for her. She's under thirty,
she's got five kids, which is hard enough, but to
not be able to look after them, to have good days,
and when the bad days are bad, she can't get
out of bed. We thought we talked to her husband
bow next to give us some insight into what life's like. Hello, Bo,

(02:32):
how are you yourself? Not too bad? So Bo give
us the rundown and it's a a what a story.
How old was your youngest child when Karina was diagnosed
with MS?

Speaker 5 (02:45):
She was all the day or she was just about
six months old. But it started when she had our
youngest daughter, right after she.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Gave birth, So she had symptoms then and so to investigate.

Speaker 5 (03:00):
What might be going on with her, yes, yeah, well what.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
A shock to the system to find out that it
was that it was MS. And we heard yesterday from
Mark there are some days where it's hard for what
are some of the bad days, like if you don't
mind me asking, some.

Speaker 5 (03:16):
Bad days, her legs won't work, she has fits, she
can't get out of bed, she has like ice bath pains,
electric shock pains. But the kids have to get themselves
ready for school. Yeah, it just makes it hard because
I can't be in two places at once. I need

(03:38):
to go to work as well. And yeah, you're going.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
To put food on the table, yeah you yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
And as Mark, he doesn't even really know you guys
that well, but he just said he there's something I
can do. So he's put together this car show, and
he pointed us out to the go fundme page, and
we've got people putting money in there, Like, I don't
know if we can get to the eighty thousand dollars.
But as Mark said, if you know, instead of buying
a coffee four bucks fifty put in there and that's it.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
We'll see how I can go with this.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
But you also have to, you know, you can't help
putting yourself in Corna's position, and think how hard that
must be. So the older children, the oldest is.

Speaker 5 (04:13):
What ten, yeah, she's ten, yeah, and.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
She's looking after the baby. How are you making it work?

Speaker 5 (04:19):
Oh, yeah, we just got to sort of make it work.
That's what we've got to do. Yeah, it is hard
sometimes and sometimes I've got to take days off work
as well help out.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Well, we're in your corner, Mark absolutely.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Rather I should say, what we'll do is we just
we'll get this on our socials. We've got the links
to the go fundme page, and you're our You're in
our minds, you're our You're on our on our front.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Bird you are.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
We might also give some thought to things that we
can do for you and your family along the way,
as well as drawing attention to the fundraising. I know
that the money is for stem cell work, but it
sounds like you could probably do with some other stuff
as well, So we might give some thought to how
it can mike life a little bit easier for your
family for those bad days.

Speaker 5 (05:03):
We appreciate that very much and we're very thankful for that.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
You don't need to say that, Bo. We don't want
you to have to be grateful.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
To I got your back.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
BRO was saying that I hate but at the same time,
we've got your back.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
Absolutely all right, Thank you, Bo, Thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Say I died Karna and the kids for us, So
there you go.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
We've got all the details of the GoFundMe thing, so
you know, we'll see how far we can go with this.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
I just can't imagine how tough that must be. Little
kids in the house, so so hard
