Speaker 1 (00:00):
We have opened up the confession both this morning, people
are getting all manner of things off their chests that
they've been holding on to for years. Ruth in Aberfoyle Park,
What do you need to tell us that you've been
holding on too?

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Good morning, guys. So when I was many years younger
and living at home, my mum went away for a
weekend and she left her car in the driveway, so
I buried it without telling her and went into the
city wet nightclub and with friends got a parking ticket
put it in the bin because I was too embarrassed.
I you, I'd been so much trouble. And then she

(00:36):
got this bill and it was a late feed because
she never paid the first one, and she ended up
trying to contest it and paid a huge amount of things.
And I never told her the true She just assumed
that they must have got the wrong car.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Does she know now, Ruth?

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Have you told her? Nah?

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Was that the only time you took the car? I mean,
we are a confessional.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
But when I got a car later and she wanted
to keep browing my car, I got a spider gearshifter
on it so she would never take my car.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Very good, you got it off your chest. I'm not
sure mum's thrilled about it, but well done to you, Ruth.
I hope you feel better after that.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Now, Oh this works out really well because Max, of
course your confession was you brought all your mates and
you cheated your way into rocket bar.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Stamp, made our stamp, went for good six months on
that stamp and didn't have to pay a ten dollar entry. Well,
someone who may have something to say about that is Stuart,
who's on the phone right now.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Good morning Stuart.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Hi, how are you very good?

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Thank you? Now? Why would you be ringing through and
wanted to speak to Max stew.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
Oh? Well, I hear mact is a bit of a
confessional for me.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Yeah, you wouldn't be now, I mean the chances are
very low. There was a Stewart that happened to run
the Thursday night. You wouldn't be that Stuart though. I
believe he lives in La.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Very much the same and it's actually out of the
afternoon where I'm calling from. It's very much Stewart.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Oh no, Stuart Darkworth. Okay, Stuart, have you heard the confessional?
Because I mean if you haven't, it's fine. We can
move on from it.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
No.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Look, I've heard rumors that are contentional, but I haven't
quite heard it yet.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
No, I'm telling Okay. So there was a period there,
back in sort of the twenty tens, the heyday of
eight Big Kids. On Thursday night at Rocket, which you
used to run Stuart, so well, might I add my
favorite night clubbing evening, and the line was massive. Everyone
that was between the age of eighteen and twenty two

(02:42):
wanted to be in Rocket so to beat the line
because we had gotten so used to going there, we
knew what the stamp looked like, and we had our
own stamp manufactured, and instead of instead of having your
pre drinks like going in for a stamp and then

(03:03):
leaving and then coming back later, we used our own
stamp at home and stamped everyone at pre drinks and
beat the lines to it. I'm so sorry.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Well, look, I've got two thoughts on there. Part of
me wants to be angry, part of me wants to
make you work out a way to compensate the loss
of revenue in the nightclub. But to be honest, a
part of me who will also as proud of you,
the entrepreneurial spirit in me says, you know what, well played.

(03:34):
It's probably better, but we probably needed to change our
stamp more often. And to be honest, I don't think.
I don't think that's probably the worst thing to happen
at the nuts of the nightclubs during those years.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Perfectly, that's probably a whole other story. But thank you
for that too. I really appreciate that. And to be honest,
I don't feel so guilty about it, because at the
end of the day, the amount of money I handed
back over the bar hopefully made up for it a
little bit.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Perhap.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
To honerate yourself entirely, you should work out the miss
revenue for the door and Dynatic charity. Perhaps that's a
nice one, great idea.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Donated it to your bar on two for one. Stee,
thanks for bringing through mate, appreciate it pleasure. Thanks for
the apology, Oh Stuie God, if you can't say anything
on the radio these days, can you
