Happened? Simon? I was teaching in Scotland and playing rugby
and had down at the rugby club. Some sponsors of
the club came along and said we need some people
to model kilts, and I said, I'll do that. Apparently
they look better on tall people, so I went and
modeled the kilts. And I didn't know there was some
top of shots and some wedding shots, and I didn't
know that these guys also sponsored the whole of Scottish rugby.

So every time there was a match, my photo appeared
in the program. So I'd go to school the next
week the kids would stick the pictures up everywhere.

And about fifteen years later, back in Australia, I was
a school principal and one of my kids went to Scotland.

was picking up a Bridal magazine in Jamestown, the small
country town I grew up in. Opening up and there
was a full sized spread of me. I've never left
a shop that quickly.
