Here it is. Yeah, thereyou go. Hit it again. Make

notifiers. We are your home ofa three hit show a Otani and the
Dodgers. Although the Dodgers are notplaying the hits right now. They lost
to the Nacio Nihilis the Curly DubsTune it out them for the first time
this season. They were shut outDodgers off tomorrow. They started a three
game series versus the Mets on Fridayand Sunday we got Don McClain here.

(01:42):
The NBA playoffs start for the Clippersas they host the Dallas Mavericks twelve thirty
tip off on AM eleven fifty.Because there is a Dodger game that day
and you are working the first round, are you not? Don I am
unfortunately, because it's going to bea good series. ABC has taking two
of the first four games, whichmeans we don't work two of the first

(02:06):
four games. Wow. That nationalbasketball deal that that the NBA did really
kills the regional, doesn't it.It's really horse. It's just what sucks
about it is that you do allthese games all year and everybody's waiting and
looking forward to the playoffs, andhere's the playoffs and you're sitting at home
watching a game. Yeah, youget a first round and that's it,
and then they snatch it from you. The rich get richer. It's fun

(02:29):
effect. It's yeah, we're threefun fact, tim kaits really excited about.
Well. A bear was spotted inBurbank b one call him by his
name, Petros b One walking downthe street or up in the hills or
what like, up in the street, like it went into somebody's pool.

(02:50):
It was going through trash cans.It was going up and down the street
up in the Burbank hills, justgoing full armenia. We want to hear
something crazy. This is about tenyears ago. You've been to my house.
Yes, the end of the street. There's this open area right correct.
Yeah, So somebody spotted a bearin that open area. Okay,
and so the police came. Itwas a whole thing and they're like stay
in your house if you have littlekids all that, and so they lost

(03:13):
the bear. They couldn't so itlike went into like the sewer they found
it, and you know the areathey found the bear. The next time
they saw the bear, it wasin Newberry Park. Whoa. It got
from Westlake to Newberry Park without beingseen pretty fast, but like underground like
all the oh kind of like batman. Yeah, Like it wasn't walking down
the street and somehow it got that. It didn't take the freeway, take

(03:38):
the one on one, get offon cheesebro One Road. If it waits
a few months, it could usethat new bridge they're putting over the one
on one. Oh yeah, beingstraight. Yeah, we're shutting down the
freeway at night, so the animalscould have a crossing. Tim that's in
my route on the way home fromClipper games. Oh exciting. Well,
you get twenty three coming through ap twenty three coming over the bridge,
you're gonna be able to see careand wilderbeast and all kinds of things going

(04:01):
over the freeway. But this isthe fun fact. Polar bears are the
only bear species that actively hunts andkills humans. Well, thank god it's
warm out here in southern California.Well right, I mean, you know,
you think of polar bears with likethe coke bottle and having such a
great time, and I guess that'sjust not the case. You don't know,

(04:24):
don Can you expand on the wholebear signing? What did you do?
Did you spring into the action like, hey sergeant, Yeah, beauty,
I'm cool if you need my help. I came out of the house
with the pellet shotgun over my shoulderand said, hey, hey, boys,
you need any help. We gota pretty thick skin. Unless you
get the eye, it's really gonnabe you throw a little lipprin. Let's
go hunting. No, they actuallywere like trying to freak everyone out keep

(04:47):
them in their house. But yeah, well I didn't actually see the bear.
They had already seen the bear andthen the bear was gone. Well,
Kates is one of those guys that'ssuper pissed off that they changed his
high school's name from the Burbank orBurrows Indians to the Burrows Bears because you
think it attracts more bears. Well, he said, there's no bears here,

(05:08):
but now there is one bear.Later in my entire life, for
the most part, I've never seena bear in like the last two years.
Chase the name of high school boomArmenians, and those bears are aware
of what schools use them as amascot. Oh, there's no doubt,
no doubt they're aware. I mean, we got coyotes like they're cats in
the city right now. And everytime I go to Valencia, I see
vikings everywhere, beards, spiky hats. I go back to see me high

(05:33):
school, there's covered wagons everywhere.Oh it's terrible. People die a dysentery
on their road. It's time forquick hits. Everybody, quick hits,
come, make it quick y'all. Some of the horse rape going on with

(05:53):
the Culver City Centaurs. Why Dodgerslost today two to nothing to the Nats.
Shoe a Otani had three hits. The rest of the Dodgers were two
for twenty seven. I dios miotwo for twenty seven. Did I say

(06:14):
hit the panic button? I didn'thear in? Kate said he no,
not yet. Remember only a moundtoday for the Nationals Randy Johnson. He
was cy Young Brett Saberhagen. Thedraft is a week from tomorrow. The
Chicago Bears with the number one overallpick. The Chargers pick fifth, the
Raiders pick thirteenth, the Rams selectnineteenth. Georgia tight end Brock Bowers was

(06:34):
in town today visiting with Jim Harbaughand the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers
under Jim Harbaugh are really gonna liketight ends. And this guy seems to
be the real deal. He canreally do it all. But you'll pick
him that high five. I meanthey value that position very high. May
be trade down a little and thentake and you look at what that guy

(06:57):
Kittle means at for the forty nineers and Kelsey, what he's meant Although
he's not going to do what Harbaugh'sasking him to do. I mean,
this guy, Harbaugh's asking these guysto put their hand in the ground and
kick ass and get after a dN and hook that guy. And we're
going to run his own right here. So that guy's going to be a
real mother effort. So they're lookingat him, but we'll see reportedly looking

(07:18):
at Michael Pennix Junior is the Raiderswith their selection, and he's interesting.
You know, he's had a coupleacls and he's been kind of beat up
in his career and he's not thatbig, but he's not a run around
quarterback. I mean, he's apocket passer. Caleb Williams and Daniels are

(07:38):
more susceptible to running around on thirddown and being broken into pieces at the
next level. Pennix is more ofa drop back and see it kind of
Kurt Warner Tom Brady type of guy. So we'll see it might be kind
of high to get him at thirteen, but the Raiders have done stupid things
in the past. The Seahawks arelooking at him with the sixteenth pick.
He played at Washington and his colldefensive coordinator, who's really good play caller.

(08:03):
One of the best I've seen inyears is now the Seahawks OC.
Really, but he's moved up tothe NFL, which is a different,
different field, different dimensions, justlike college basketball has different dimensions than the
NBA. He's the new OC forthe Seahawks, so we'll see how it
works out. The draft is alwaysinteresting. We're off that day, really,
yeah right? No flapping in thewind Dodger Day game in Washington,

(08:26):
DC at one o'clock leading into FoxSports Radio is great coverage. I don't
know anything about it like you do, P but I don't. I enjoy
watching the NFL Draft. I reallydo it. It's you know, why
you come an event. Well herenot so much because it's an event.
But what I find fascinating, becauseI'm so involved in the NBA draft,
is how much more measurables mean moreto the NFL than they do the NBA.

(08:50):
Like the forty time and all theseall these tests they do. It
doesn't matter that Kevin Durant can't benchpress right. And so to me,
when when you when you watch theNFL Draft and you hear what all their
splits are and their times and allthat and how they move up drafts and
all that, and it's so differentfrom what I do and we do this
time of year. But I findit really interesting how different even though they're

(09:11):
both the two major sports in thecountry. Then, how much different the
NFL draft is versus the NBA draft. Yeah, because football coaches are really
filled with hubris and they just seesome measurables and they say, I can
carve out the best player ever,I can be the one. A little
bit of that in the NBA though, too, Yeah, I'm sure there

(09:33):
is. But with football, it'sit's interesting because and I know this is
the way it is in any draft, because like, you're not getting drafted
if you're not exceptional, right,You're getting drafted because you're great. The
draft's not about that. The draftis about what's wrong with you, and
you spend all this time getting nitpicked. The weird thing about football is there's
guys and football's really I don't know, maybe basketball is like this in some

(09:56):
way, but there's guys that thefurther away they get from the field,
the better they look because of measurables, right, And then there's guys that
the further away they get from thefield, the worst they look because the
measurables. But the field is wherethe game is played. Like I played
football with a guy named Sammy Knight. Sammy Knight was an unbelievable football player
at a riverside great NFL safety, played linebacker at SC wasn't that fast,

(10:18):
but would make the Pro Bowl everyyear. Would get cut because he wasn't
that or get released, go onanother team, make the Pro Bowl,
you know, didn't get signed asa free agent, never got drafted,
wasn't fast, go to the ProBowl like he played ten to twelve years.
Yeah, he knew how to play, but it dogged him, you
know, it kept him from gettingpaid too, Which is really interesting how

(10:39):
that plays out. This whole thingplayed out with Arthur Blank and Bill Belichick
kind of weird. Did you readthat story in ESPN? Basically, no
one wanted Belichick, he's arrogant, but Craft might have poisoned him and called
Arthur Blank, the owner of theFalcons and told him not to hire Belichick.
Long in depth store basically, andthey said they had to vote with

(11:03):
the GMS for the Falcons, Yeah, to bring it. Well, of
course they don't want to bring himin. Well, they voted him off
the island. Well, yeah, because they didn't wanted to come and take
their jobs exactly. So, uh, there's a big story at ESPN if
you want to read that. Lakersa few days off from the Nuggets in
My Last Night. Yeah, wewill talk to James Worthy in the very

(11:24):
next segment about it, and wetalked to Don earlier. The Clippers will
open the playoffs at home on Sundayagainst the Mavericks. A week off for
Kawhi Leonard and maybe he'll be healthy. We talked about that as well.
What happened to John tay Porter.I mean, this guy got the hammer
pretty but how dumb can you be? Pretty stupid? Like if you're gonna
if you you know, I don'tcare if you're falling asleep when the NBA
Players Association comes and tells you allthe rules and the dues and don'ts like

(11:48):
for fifty grand if you're gonna,if you're gonna risk your professional career at
least be gambling millions on it.Yeah, you know it's like you're gonna
risk You're gonna risk your entire careerfor twenty two grand or seventy grand or
whatever. Hell, I'm looking atthis story reminds me of in a simpler
time, when I had teammates steala check book from somebody's somebody's apartment and

(12:13):
write checks to themselves and say theycan't trace checks. It's not like kat.
UCLA has landed three transfers, sixeight forward Eric Daily from Oki State
committed to mc cronin. They havetwo scholarships for next year. Still they
have to replace a dem Bona, but the returners and now the transfers and
the recruiting class, they have alot different looking team getting together. Eric

(12:37):
Freeney from Corona Centennial. What doyou think about what UCLA's done so far
in the off season. They've They'vedone a good job of identifying, you
know, the transfer portal and thengoing and getting what they need. I
haven't seen these guys, or atleast haven't seen enough of them to really
tell you who they are and whatthey're going to bring. But I just
feel like this is the day andage of college basketball. Like UCLA we

(13:00):
talked about this last week or theweek before, like this is just the
way it is in college basketball andfootball. The portal is the biggest thing,
and you're gonna lose three or fourguys every year, and you're gonna
get three or four guys back inthe portal. We'll see how it shakes
out, and we'll see what theMuscalow's doing. He's brought a couple of
guys in on the portal two atUSC, the new coach of the Trojans.
We're gonna have to bring them intoevery one of these quick hits kates

(13:22):
because we're now USC basketball supporters, are we though, yes, what we
are? Well to a certain degree, you know why he is done.
I'm gonna tell you right now. He's trying to get the PA job back.
Oh would that be so bad?Don? His schedule is lighting up
in the winter time because football season'sover, and he realized that no one
gives me any of these UFL games. And Muscleman's back, and he loves

(13:45):
Muscle, and Muscle loves him.So there's an opening. And I want
to get rid of the DJ Molski, No, the other one, dig
Weed, Yeah Molski. The onlyI like DJ Molsky. My only issue
is does it have to be thatloud? Like literally, does it have
to be that loud? That's abig problem for all of us, Don

(14:05):
for all of us? Now,is it unsavoring a lobby on the radio
show for somebody's job? Yeah, maybe a little bit, but maybe I'm
just kidding. You're gonna have tocall me to find her. Call me
Jen. We'll be back with MooreJames Worthy coming up next to the Petro
Somebody Show at AMPI seventy La Sportsyour home of the Dodgers who are struggling,

(14:26):
hard cracking. Everybody, welcome back, it is we just won't be
defeated. Wednesday on the Petros andMoney Show. Disappointment from the Dodgers.
They lose to the Nationals first timethis season they've been shut out. They're
off tomorrow, start again against theMets on Friday. But we got basketball
fever here in the city to seeyou, DoD Don McClain in today for

(14:48):
Matt money Smith and of course wehave one of our favorite guests weekly to
chop it up about the Lakers, the Purple and Gold, the Forum and
that wonderful, wonderful legacy that theyhave. James Worthy, driven by the
Ford f series, America's best sellingtruck for forty seven years and counting.

(15:11):
Heady, your Southern California, FordDealers for great offers on a Ford F
Series truck built for tough. Oneof the all time great Lakers number hangs
in the rafters, a Hall ofFamer, and a Great Guy Emmy winner
on Spectrum Sports net LA, Theone and only James Worthy on the Petros
and Money Show. Last time wetalked to him, donn he was he
was dejected. He was unhappy aboutthe way the Lakers were playing. Oh

(15:33):
how they were playing. But nowI'm sure he feels better. I'm sure
things are better. Things are better. They had the Nuggets to face,
but they showed themselves well last nightand the big an O. Were you
happy with the performance last night,James? And what do you think it
means for the future. First ofall, you got big Gang Don in

(15:54):
the house right now, I'd stoppedshort of what's up, buddy? Tell
me sting a big game Don?You can just call me Don. I
like big game Don, because you'rea great teacher. See, for all
these young high school and college guysout there, if you want to learn
how to play the game, youneed to get in touch with Don.
He's a great teacher. I knowthat from some people that I heard,

(16:17):
so anyway, appciate. You know, I'm happy that they took care of
business and didn't have to play anotherplaying game. You know, I'd rather
be in a situation where a teamhas to beat me four games than to
be worrying about having them, youknow, beat the Sacramento Kings, who

(16:40):
pretty much owned us all season long. So I'm happy where we are.
And I think the Lakers have beentrending in the right direction. Sometimes they
have some pitfalls, but I thinkthe last month they're trying to you know,
have a legitimate starting lineup since theyput Ruie in there. I think

(17:00):
Gabe coming back, even though we'renot going to get Vanderbilt back. I
think Vanderbilt would have been a greatand then Sho coming back, but we
might not have him. But Ithink, you know, getting Gay back,
who has some experience in Miami. And look, we're gonna be playing
the Devin Nuggets, the best teamin the NBA, with the best player

(17:21):
and players and the most the teamthat executes the best I've ever seen in
a long time the last five minutesof a basketball game. But I want
them, you know what I mean, if you want to play, you
got to play the best. Idon't like trying to lose a game or

(17:42):
you know, hope that somebody elsebeats the I definitely don't want anybody in
the NBA to get injured. Ifyou want to, you know, if
you're ready to play, let's go. Den is going to be a challenging
for us. They've beaten us thelast eight or nine times, so hopefully
that'll be some incentives. But theLakers, they gotta play for forty eight

(18:03):
minutes. You said they gotta havetheir hand. Tenn is up. You
said it, James. It's beena little bit up and down, but
it seems like it's been more upof late. But I was thinking before
the game started last night. Iwatched it, there's no way Lebron loses
this game tonight. I just hadthis. I'm like, when you have
a player of that caliber, andyou know, having played with all the
great players you played with, sometimesit just like there's a lot of other

(18:26):
good things that happened last night,But to me, it's more about you
got Lebron James in basically a onegame playoff game, You're probably gonna win
the game, and the Lakers did. Yeah, it reminds me of Magic
when it comes to that, eventhough Magic was a lot more verbal.
Yeah, Lebron, I mean, look, the experience that he has over
people gives him the edge. Youknow, he's not nervous. He's seen

(18:52):
just about every scenario, and Ithink with his size and his strength,
he knows that going downhill. NowI see him going downhill a lot getting
you know, the one man fastbreak. Uh. Yeah, he's he's
capable of willing games. That's that'swhat he does. Uh. It's going
to be critical that that that aD compiece with yok. He's going to

(19:15):
have to find a way to bephysical, make him work. But I
think in one game situation, you'reright, don that's that's that's something that
you know. Uh. Lebron isvery familiar with with making sure that the
winners is there. James when whenthe Lakers, obviously you watch him way
more closely than I do. Iwatch him, but not as close as
you do. When the Lakers areright, what are they like? What

(19:40):
what areas have they been a littleinconsistent on? But when they are right?
What are they doing? When they'reright? A D is anchoring the
defense and the perimeter players are onfire with pressure. When they're getting deflections
and steals and and and in eliminatingtheir opponents to one shot and they can

(20:03):
get out and run, they arerunning team. I'm not sure that that
at great half court. Even thoughthey have Lebron and they have Reees,
they get the job done. ButI think they are a team when they're
out running. I think their defenseis better when they get over twenty five
to twenty seven assists, get awayfrom the ISO. I mean, I

(20:23):
know Lebron has to ISO sometime, but when that ball is popping and everyone's
getting to touch it, they don'tnecessarily want to score, but they want
to feel it. They want totouch it, they want to make an
assist. That's when they're rolling. When they're hitting the three really knocks down
to three. I think d Lowis key to the whole series. They
targeted him last year the Denver Nuggetsthere, so I think he's got a

(20:45):
little redemption on his mind. SoI just I like our offense. Our
defense is going to have to becritical. It's imperative that we have our
antenna's up against Murray in particular,Jokis. You know he's Kis is unstoppable.
Sometimes Murray and Porter who shoot theball and Pope, those are the

(21:10):
guys that you don't have to worryabout it. They got Collinson now,
so the Lakers is going to haveto play their best basketball this next yeraries,
are the teams dramatically very different thanthey were from last year? Are
they in that much of a differentplace? Not Denver and the Lakers.
We're diminished. We need Vanderbilt.Vander Belt, to me, is a

(21:30):
guy who can have two points anda plus minus of about forty five or
fifty. He does so many thingsdefensively, deflection, stills, He's just
a savvy player. We're gonna missthat. Other than that, I feel
like we're you know, we canmake up a little bit of that difference
with other players, but I thinkthey're about the same in my opinion.

(21:52):
We picked up you know, wepicked up Prince, he picked up you
know, a couple of players. But pretty much say, I agree with
you, James Vanderbilt. I saidthat at the trade deadline last year.
I said that this is a veryunderrated pickup for the Lakers and how much
he's going to affect winning And itis unfortunate he's not going to be a
part of this series. But gettingback to DiAngelo, I, you know,

(22:12):
watching him play now versus you know, earlier in the year last year,
I just feel like he's playing witha lot more. I don't want
to say confidence, because d' angelohas always been a very confident player.
It's more like he's more comfortable inhis role, in what he's doing,
and he's shooting it at a muchhigher percentage, which tells you he's probably
more comfortable now. I think he'scomfortable. I think after the Denver series

(22:37):
last year where they accidentally let itget out that they were targeting him,
he went in a gym and heput on a little bit of strength up
top, which I always thought wasmissing. And know Byron Scott had him
as a rookie and I was helpingwith Randall and Larry Nason, those guys,
so I've seen his progress. Ialso think coming back playing with Lebron

(22:59):
an Ad last year, it tookhim a little bit of you know,
to stop deferring so much and stopthinking so much and just playing in his
role, which to me, nextto Steph Curve, his release is easy
and he can just launch it.And he's also been a good assist guy.
So he is key to me forthe Lakers. He's got to get

(23:22):
his points, of course, buthe's got to keep those guards active on
the defensive end for Dender. Ifit were you, James, because there's
been so much conversation about it andthere's no right answer to this, but
if it were you you were coachingthe Lakers, what's your coverage on Jokic?
Are you doubling and getting out ofhis hands? Are you trusting Ad
to play him straight up? Areyou mixing coverages? What are you doing

(23:45):
on him? Can't stop a guy. He's too intelligent. He's a people
mover. He just puts his armsstraight up and he just kind of uses
his ways to move people around. You have to mix it up, destroy
any one plan that you have.I think sometimes you gotta come from the
top. Sometimes you gotta let Adhave him by himself, depending on where

(24:07):
he is on the court, andyou got to make him play defense.
You gotta make him move. Yougot to attack him on the other end,
try to get him in file tohim because offensively, it's not been
proven you can stop this guy. He's been double team he's been simple team.
If you're double teaming, well,he's gonna find that open guy,

(24:30):
and it's usually Gordon or Porter orPope for three are done for something.
So AD's gonna have to be alittle bit more physical than he's been without
filing and playing smart. But Ithink on the other end is where you're
gonna have to attack him. Ithink Ad has to catch and go quick

(24:52):
sometime at the body, kind ofcatch him off guard, face up,
shoot the jumper, just a lot. You gotta keep your kids busy.
Set some picks for him on him. But to me, he's one guy.
Burry is another one. Burry isa nightmare. So and the way
they execute. We had two tightgames with them last year. You know,

(25:14):
it's close until the last three minutesand then they looked like they'd let
the Harlem gold Trotters. They werejust they'd be at whatever they wanted.
So it's gonna be a challenge.I'm glad we got them first so we
can just you know, get thembefore they get better into the playoffs,
because they get if they start toplay, they're going to get better and
better each round. So let's go. Let's do this. Jeez, if

(25:37):
they were the glove drodders, thatmakes the Lakers the generals. God help
us, James, thank you somuch here at the point. Yes,
great to hear the conversation between twogreat basketball guys. Appreciate you James,
and enjoy this series and we'll talkto you soon. You got it,
Thanks James. Good look great JamesWorthy, Ladies and gentlemen, driven by

gonna play again on Friday when theystart a three game series versus the Mets.
And people are starting to text meand saying, hey, is it
just me or to the Dodger suck? And it's very upsetting. Don twelve
and nine. I don't think anybodysaw that coming now one and two something

(27:08):
like that. I think people wereexpecting, you know, the meme of
the guy like sitting alone on theswings, you know, looking off.
That's Don Martin all weekend long.It really is. But you know what,
Otani had three hits and Eto noi ocha Japan's number one green tea

Don, looking forward to it.Man, you look vibrant. I

(27:52):
do you look good? On TV? People send me TV over clandestine photos
of you sitting on the stool researching, looking on like Don Martin on the
swing. That's where they're wrong. All the research is right here, right
there, right there, in yourin your pebble head. Your head is
quite large, all right. Thedead guy birthday? You established that alone.

(28:15):
Well, I'm just saying, youknow, you're a big guy.
Would look weird. If you hada small hit, it would look really
weird. There was a guy likethat at cal when I was there,
seven footer. A lot depends onyour hair, your hair style as well.
You can make your head look biggerand or smaller, six or five
with the ephro. Alexander Cartwright isyour dead guy birthday of the day.

(28:36):
Don never heard of him? Well, he would have been two hundred and
four today. I haven't lived along time ago. But he has been
called over the years the father ofthe sport of baseball. Excuse me,
many the father of the sport ofbaseball, many say, also erroneously,

(29:00):
I would say, rone, Well, it's not Abner Doubleday either, the
civil not really. There's a lotof dispute about this, it turns out,
but a founding member of the NewYork Knickerbocker's base and there there's a
space ball club. That's what Cartwrightwas from New York City, worked on
Wall Street and as a bank clerk, and after the Big Fire he worked

(29:22):
as a booksell The earliest known establishedbaseball club, dawn was in New York
and it was the Gotham Baseball Club, and it was called like town ball
also or just their own league,or that was the team of the first
club. And they thought, thisis the game we play, and it's
like a cool game for adults. But when the rules developed, and how

(29:45):
is a matter of big question. You know, a lot of it is
based on a British game rounders, and then you got the whole cricket aspect,
but you got the Gotham Baseball Club. In eighteen forty two, Cartwright
led the establishment of an offshoot club, the Knickerbocker base Ball Club. Knickerbocker

(30:06):
named after a fire engine company, not basketball club, baseball baseball. This
is before your boy doctor Nasmith andhis peach basket. They say that the
rules were drawn up by a guynamed will William Wheaton, and all the
Cartwright stuff and what he actually didhas been deeply disputed. Basically, all
the stuff calling him the father ofbaseball was a lie. Also, when

(30:33):
the first game under the new ruleswas played, no one really knows that,
either eighteen forty five or maybe eighteenforty six. In eighteen forty nine,
much like many people forty nine ers, Cartwright went to California for the
Gold Rush and then ended up inHonolulu, Hawaii as a fire captain.

(30:53):
It's a big dtour, right. There are also erroneous reports that he set
up the first baseball pe the fieldin Owahu, but he did not.
He did advise King Kalakawa, sohe had that going for it. In
twenty sixteen, experts found the Lawsof Baseball twenty sixteen written by Doc Adams,

(31:15):
another Knickerbocker in eighteen fifty seven, meaning Cartwright was not present at that
time. I've been talking about thiscart right guy. Sounds like everything he
does hasn't been confirmed. Yeah,he was in Hawaii when they wrote the
rules. Baseball was not known inHawaii until eighteen sixty six. Even though
they said he built the first fieldin Hawaii, he did not. Hey,

(31:36):
so where did the guy in twentysixteen find the Rules of baseball at
I mean they just they found scorecards. They found scorecards from the first game,
and then then this guy presented thistime. Can a museum or city
records really things like that? Iguess long dig absolutely. How he came
to be known as the inventor ofmodern day baseball is also in question,

(31:59):
because no one ever called him thatduring his lifetime. So, yeah,
Alexander Cartwright not the father of baseball, but an early baseball player and established
one of the first baseball teams anda firefighter in Honolulu. Correct, And
when those sugarcane fields catch on fire, you better get after it. What

(32:21):
do you do out there in eighteenfifty if there's a fire? Surf shrug
your shoulders. Oh, if there'sa fire, Yeah, it's like,
yeah, I guess you would stillserve right, Get out of the open,
out in the water. Uh,pe, you're a live guy.
Birthday of the day, beating outJennifer Garner and rapper Redman. Oh,
happy fiftieth birthday to Victoria Adams Beckham. Oh, posh spicebut posh spice turning

(32:45):
fifty's? How old weregan? Howold? I'm getting born and raised in
England at the age of nineteen, that far behind you. She went on
an audition for a female music groupthat turned out to be The Spice Girl
two thousand. After a good fiveyear run, the Spice Girls all went
their own ways. Victoria embarked ona solo career, which didn't go very
well, but she pursued other opportunitieslike modeling in design. It's also at

(33:09):
this time Victoria got married and starteda family with soccer superstar David Beckham.
Nanny scandal, Yeah, remember hehit the nanny Yep, they survived it,
though they weathered the storm as acouple. Today she has a global
line of clothes, handbags and makeupthat is very popular. An she's still
married to David Beckham and they havefour kids. They did a thing,

(33:32):
remember they did, like a documentaryand she was like being taped and she
was like, my father was ahard working man and I grew up in
blue collar and then David Beckham likesticks his face in from out. He's
like, what kind of cottage yourfather drive? What kind of cottagy drive?
And she's like it's not this,you don't know. He's like what
cord? She was like, hewas a Rose Royce He's like, fright,

(33:54):
kid, and then he's just gone, like all you saw from Beckham
was like his nose. So wasshe lying about her well? I mean
she was, you know, talkingabout being blue collar and he's like,
yeah, you went to school andwhat we'll kind of call drop down for
still Victoria. Yeah. That beingsaid, her and David's combined net worth

(34:16):
is over five hundred million. Youknow David Beckwall does he do now?
David Beckham? I think he sellsunderwear. He's a owner or part owner
of the Miami team that's got messyon it. Oh he is. Yeah,
yeah, So you helped bring theyou what is that, the soccer
MLS to Miami. That's what hedid. David Beckham came here and we

(34:37):
interviewed Gay for an hour. Ohin here. Yeah, we went upstairs
and interviewed him and did a wholething. And Washington, Yes, yeah,
that happened. Who called him landing? Somebody called him landing? Did
that end the interview? No,he took it. Well. I can't
believe you remember that, Ronnie, and you would bring it up here in

(34:59):
this forum, by the way,you brought up the whole Rolls Royce and
yeah, yeah. Here it isvery working working class. Be honest and
being honest. We're very working workingclass. I am being honest. I
am being Did your dad drive youto school? So my dad, my

(35:22):
dad. It's not a simple answerbecause what did you get? It depends
no, no, no, no, okay. In the eighties my dad
had a rolls roy. Yeah. Was it hard to answer because he had
multiple cars on the day of theweek as Martin, Oh, that was

(35:45):
be honest, yeah, Backham,Yeah, I might have asked the nanny,
but you're a lying honest Victoria.I can't believe you guys brought all
right, can't be needed. Allright, everybody, we'll be back on
tomorrow Full show. What did Beckhamdo when he called him the land of

(36:07):
Donovan? He just kind of laughed, huh because we were asking about him.
They were on the team together. But that was the Galaxy, right,
correct? Pre l a f C. All right, I'm sorry for
bringing it up. No, it'sjob, Ronnie. You know that would
really wreck dinner if if you knowin certain companies. Yes, we were

(36:31):
returning tomorrow. Checked out this coy
