he's not gonna come on today becauseof the short nature of our show,

(01:49):
only two hours of great sports talktoday in a very short week, they'll
be heavy great sports talk next week. Matt's favorite flex yeah, the three
days in our I'm heavily involved inthe flex alerts next week two uh to
five thirty. Matt's favorite flex inmine too, Welert. It's the tuna

(02:14):
casse role of sports talk time slots. That's right, two to five thirty.
But Vic Japanese enthusiast was talking aboutanything, but he wanted to wash
you. Oh, he wanted tosmoke Yoshinobu's poul. He wanted to sidestep

(02:34):
and he started talking about Diso andEto n oyotcha green tea, and everybody
knows that's Kate's's endorsement. He ain'tgonna have that. He ain't getting that
from Kate's. Well, it's Japan'snumber one green tea and the perfect source
of caffeine to get you through theday. Look for the green cannor bottle,
so you know, and perhaps hedid want people to know that it's
available at the local Diso store,Amazon and eto n dot com. It

(02:58):
it t o e n oh,thank you dot com. I'm glad you
as I anticipated that you were gonnahave, so I told you. But
Vic was really just sidestepping, likethe trash can drill did not want to
address the fact that he's still alivefor his Lakers in seven prediction made to

(03:20):
Don mcclan and I and Jonas Knoxand I last Thursday and Friday, respectively.
I don't know why he does it. I don't know why he does
it. I guess because if youlike for Vic, it's no win.
You're either you know, you're eithera boot liquor when you make that pick,
and if you get it right, they're like, well yeah, because
you always pick them to win,and if you get it wrong, it's

(03:43):
like, well you just stop,Will you stop picking the Lakers to win
a series that people were outraged thatthey were a I think they were like
a plus four point fifty or somethingto win and people like proof four and
I have to want them to getpaid on this. You kidding me?
Best fail you ever, It's like, no, they have no chance.
It didn't rely they They've had adouble digit lead in every game, but

(04:08):
it feels like there's nothing that theycan do that Denver is not ready for,
much like when you fight Jackie Chanand he has all the blocking moves.
Who was our sc interim coach thatsaid, if we had just had
one more quarter, Oh, DanteWilliams. It's the opposite of Dante Williams.
Listen, if these games are onlytwo quarters, yeah, and it

(04:29):
right now we're up three nothing. If the playoff games there are only a
half, we are up three nothing. Do you understand if the playoffs started
today, we would be in theplayoffs? Guy, Dante Williams were winning
at halftime. Well, that's mccronin a coach that we subscribe a little
bit more to his philosophy. Butthat being said Dante Williams, I wish

(04:51):
we had that in the machine becauseI believe the quote went something to the
effect of, if we had anotherquarter on this thing, ain't no telling
what would have happened, What wouldhave happened? Exactly telling, And that's
right. There is no telling becausewe only play up to you know,
if somebody has a lead, thegame is over. Yeah, there is

(05:11):
no precedent for that, so thereis no telling what would happen because we
have no There has never been afive quarter college football game before. Yeah,
Ernie Banks doesn't come out and saylet's play two, you know,
And you know what, Matt,Remember everybody was talking about that Kobe statue
that was wrong because no one paysattention to detail anymore except for the Germans

(05:32):
and that sour crowd. Heead reportercame out and said DC's more and then
everybody had to fix it and allthat. Do you know, I'm sure
you knew that the Ernie Banks let'splay two was also misspelled. They forgot
the apostrophe. In Chicago, theyeats not let us play too, No,
let's play two, who's let's there'sno sky? On third base.

(05:57):
Let's play two. So but no, no one has gonna come out and
say, let's play too for theLakers, or let's play less for the
Lakers. They were they've been dominated. But if they did okay, But
there's people on that payroll, Matt, we don't have to do that,
like that's not our job. Weeven have people here at the station that'll

(06:17):
do that. They'll make excuses forLebron. I mean, wind Horse will
do it, the Squidward knows inthe morning on FS one will do it.
And I'm sure, uh cup Club, Shay she will do it,
Non will do it. You gotno knak, You've got Shay She,

(06:39):
Chuck don't. Chuck won't do it. Welj was a little bit, but
Chuck won't. Woj won't do it. And Kenny's been beaten into submission because
they're down. Oh three, Oh, doctor Dracar will do it, I
think right, oh yeah, forsure, Yeah, he'll do it for
sure. So look, we're hopefulthat there's more games to talk about.

(07:03):
Maybe they go back to Denver andget punched by Strahinja in the face,
right in the face, right, you know, you can't lose twelve straight.
Can you yeah, turned it aroundthis year against the Clippers. There
is no way. There is noway. And I look at this point,

(07:23):
I can't even say I, youknow, I would be upset by
it because if I'm looking around thelocker room and I'm and I'm Ruye or
Austin Reeves and I see Lebron,I'm like, do I really want to
get on a damn plane for twoand a half hours and go to Denver,
spend the night, play a game, lose, fly home at you

(07:44):
know, land at the Atlantic terminalthere right off the one oh five at
one oh five am. Do Ireally want to do that? Like?
Is that something that's really appealing tome? You could say we didn't get
swept, we were more competitive, and we were talking about it off air,
Matt. This is if indeed theydo get swept with all these double
all these double it mays to beseen. But with all these double digit

(08:07):
leads, this was a more competitivesweep than the last sweep. Don't you
tell me what? Yeah, uptwenty in a game up up ten at
the end of the third quarter.Joke, foul trouble last night in foul
trouble, Uh they never The problemis like they've lost that. They've gotten

(08:28):
blown out in the third quarters. They've lost the critical moments of the fourth
quarters when a play needed to bemade, it wasn't made. You had
that Christian Brown guy swoop in frontof everyone for an offensive rebound in the
layup in the twenty point you know, lead blown game. You had missed
wide open threes and all of themwon. From Lebron James like, it's

(08:50):
this, this is not a hey, we're so you know we had this.
It was such a competitive sweep lasttime. Let's just win back.
Sign it back. It was theref's fault in the twenty point lonely dead.
Somebody will find a way, butit's getting sadder and sadder to make
excuses for the Lakers. It isa frogman Friday. We're looking at forward

(09:15):
from the ocean's roar these music tothe soul head. On the Pendresen Money
Show, we celebrate the sea andthe clipper ship that cuts its way through
it. They're still alive in theplayoffs. They're only tied one game a
piece with the map one to Nighteleven fifty. We also celebrate the greatness

(09:41):
of the one and only Frogman ExtraordinaireMike Nelson, played by the Great and
powerful Lloyd Bridges in one of themost fabulous television undersea adventure movies and television
shows ever produced. Sea Hi andtake Pete tepside. It's not let you.
I was done, I said,I gave him some of my hair

(10:05):
and prayed that it would start offthe effects of oxygen poisoning for a few
minutes least. I don't know howPete managed to keep going, but he
did. He had every excuse inthe world to quit and save his life,
and he stayed on a job.Mobley a lot of men. Hey,
Cougar, I see yeah, you'regonna take the boat over to the
loja Ville. Uh run that bibyagain, Celia, what are you nuts?

(10:30):
Were still a bat bell to Florida. You know what that's like these
days? All right? You gotthe f and Navy everywhere. You got
frogmen, you got EC two's withthe satellite trackings, you got the effing
Bell two O nine assault toppers.Cut the ass. We're losing one out
of every nine loans. That's noduck walk anymore. Let me tell y'all,

(10:54):
forget about the money. What doyou suggest that it is reasonable?
This would be Sea Left. Youknow, the Chargers draft offensive tackle from

(11:26):
Notre Dame Joe Well, very good, Joe Alt. He's going to join
us in the very next segment. So we'll talk to the young man,
big man, great, great offensivelineman and the first offensive lineman picked in
this draft, and he goes tothe Chargers. So Matt was working deep
into the night and tweeting and draftingand pushing and doing everything. So we

(11:50):
will talk to Joe in the verynext segment, and we'll get to the
bottom of his life in Los Angeles. I gotta say, you know,
his his lady friend there. Shedid not look too happy that he's headed
out to the West coast. Well, just was that his last I mean,
I just you know, I justreader to know if it was a
sister, if it was a ladyfriend. I mean, when I saw

(12:11):
the Bowers guy get picked from bythe Raiders, the tight end Brock Bowers,
and I saw his family, Iwas like, would you look at
the leg tattoo on the sister waand that's a family from now I know
what kind of family that is.Look at that leg tattoo? Did you
see the guy, the the oldlineman that the Jets took uh Vshanu whose

(12:33):
mom was next to him, andhis little girlfriend was his mom was with
him and the girlfriend. She hadno chance, no chance. She kept
looking over like, is he gonnalook at me? Nope, he's not
looking at you. Uh. ButMatt, back to the situation. We
will get to the draft and Joeand very excited about that. I just

(12:58):
got this text. And look,we're gonna get some pushback. This is
a Laker town and the lebron erais quite polarizing, especially when they don't
win. As lone and brought toyou by your so called Toyota dealers,
we make it easy. And letme say this. You know, when
you get nailed by the king, like all of us have been nailed by

(13:18):
the king constantly, almost since beforeCOVID. I think we've been nailed by
the king here. And when youget nailed by the King, you're meeting
him in a motel. It's asleezy transaction. They own the Lakers.
It's a sleezy transaction, and wefeel gross about it. That's why we
feel bad about it. We're gettingnailed, but we're getting nailed in a

(13:41):
way that we you know, theyleave money on the dresser. We feel
so, but think about it.There's a flip side to that coin too,
Matt Well Lebron. He can't befeeling that great about it either.
I he just you know, hashis way in the motels. You know,

(14:03):
at a certain point, like he'sis, he's backing out, he
looks, he catches a gaze ofhimself in that inarview mirror and says things
like, it's just basketball, right, you know, like he is basketball.
He's becoming disillusioned with his own filthylifestyle, you know, at the
end of the carnal pleasures. That'swhat does it all means? This is

(14:24):
carnal pleasures. It's just sport affing. He's sport affing the city of Los
Angeles. And I'm tired. I'mtired of getting nailed by the king.
And you know what, I thinkthe King is tired of nailing us.
I think this hotel motel lifestyle thatwe live with the King is h I
think it's one thin on him. He's ready to trade it in for a

(14:46):
nice twelve thousand square foot home witha giant backyard in the suburbs of Akron,
a more meaningful relationship, mat right, you know, I mean at
a certain point, he's going tobecome solution, isn't he. This flea
ridden motel room is not for meany longer. I'm tired of waking up

(15:09):
and not knowing where I am.There may be a a hot chick laying
next to me. That's a damntiger in bed. But what does it
all? What does it really mean? It's just basket all empty, It's
just sport, effing just basketball. That's something to think about, because you

(15:31):
know that's a two sided coin. The king nails you in that hotel room,
and he's there, and he ata certain point he can't feel that
great about it either, because I'mcertainly tired of it. I never enjoyed
it the first time. No,I didn't like to staring at my feet
in the air. No I didn't. I didn't usually you like it for
the first couple of weeks. Thecouple times I saw a look of ecstasy

(15:52):
on a couple, I never enjoyedit. They look past your face.
I saw it. We'll be fair, Joe Alt will join us next remember
rowing to Dodger Baseball international affair upin Toronto taking on the Blue Jays first
pitch at four pm, so wewill go until three. We'll have the

(16:14):
Clippers game running concurrently over there onAM eleven to fifty. They'll take on
the Mavericks Tip GA game three off. Right around five pm yesterday p at
five o'clock, we had the FoxSports radio coverage of the NFL Draft.
Got to hear this shortly into thecoverage, the selection at number five overall,
that's right. This man a heroto the people coming out west,

(16:41):
like a tractor built of person tomove and push and protect. Yes,
he will play tackle. Talking aboutJoe Alt at a Notre Dame two time
first team All American. You knowthat's not easy to do. An Outland
finalist and a hero to the peopleof the city. Already joining us on

(17:06):
your Toyota Dealers Southern California Celebrity Hotline. It is brand new Charger number five
picking the draft Joe Alt on thePetroson Money Show. What's Cracking Joe,
Welcome to Los Angeles. How areyou? Thank you? I'm doing great.
How are you? Oh, we'regreat, and we're we're very happy
that you could join us and happyfor you. Uh, just take us

(17:29):
through what last night was like.Obviously the culmination is something you've been working
for almost your whole life. Itscene, Yeah, it was a surreal
moment. You know, two bigemotions for me were, you know,
gratitude and just sheer excitement. Icouldn't be more excited, you know,
blew out of this next step andjoined the Charges organization. I want to
thank so coach for our doortys andCoach harb office opportunity. Could be more

(17:55):
grateful to be here and looking forwardto put my best look forward and getting
back to work here and then thegrip of my family and how to help
me to grow thus far and gaveme to the place where I am.
And I just couldn't be more saidto be a Charger and join this organization.
You know, through the draft,Joe, because the coverage has become
what it is, you learn alot about players that are going to be
joining your favorite team in those youknow, ten minute windows right before the

(18:18):
pick has made, right after thepick has made. And I would assume
a lot of people were surprised tohear that at one point you were a
quarterback. You're a tight end andyou've kind of only been doing this offensive
line thing for as far as likea football career is concerned, a little
bit of a short time. Sodid you always know you would end up
here at an offensive line at atackle place as opposed to playing tight end
for the rest of your career.Yeah. I grew late in high school,

(18:41):
so I didn't go to like leballmy junior year in high school,
and that's kind of when I broughtit out. So I was a pretty
skinny, you know, six sevenkid, and I just wasn't right for
offensive line yet, but I wasyou know, I've always been a big
bone husk your kay when I wasa child, So I knew going forward
offensive LINEO B you know what's nextfor me? And don't put my hand
as hurt. So I kind ofknew all along it's right I end up.

(19:03):
But I kind of got to enjoysome of the gloria playing Tita and
the other thing as well. Wegot to talk to Allie Gilman yesterday,
a long time Notre Dame football player, one of the great Notre Dame players,
and he said something real interesting. He mentioned that obviously playing for Notre
Dame, you find yourself in avery exclusive group and one that's a very
tight brotherhood, he said, Butoffensive line at Notre Dame is even more

(19:26):
exclusive. He's like, those guysare kind of in their own little,
you know, area, and they'reeven more exclusive than the rest of Notre
Dame players. Maybe expand on sortof what he was speaking to about how
important the position of of offensive lineis at the University of Notre Dame.
Yeah, I mean the offensive longerNotre Dame is the closest thing to family

(19:47):
that I've had outside of my realfamily. We are like brothers. We
do everything together. We you know, we leave the building together, we
come to the building together, wewalk over the practice ear together, we
do everything together, and it justkind of builds that camaraderie, a bunkst
of group, you know, lovefor each other and the idea of you
know, we're five is one everyday going out there to play, and
that you know, if I letmy teammate down, my buddy next to

(20:07):
me, then I'm on the wholegroup town. So we've always had that
super tight knit feeling and uh,you know, yeah, we are very
tight the offensive lines, and ofcourse the one and only Joe Alt joining
us right now. He is abrand new LA Charger. Of course,
his father, John Alt, agreat Kansas City Chief offensive lineman on some
of the great old lines in chiefhistory, with Barry Word and Christian Okoye

(20:33):
running behind him. Uh. Joejust had his press conference. Jim Harbaugh
reminded us all that offensive linemen arelike weapons on this Chargers team. When
you hear you're gonna play O linefor a Jim Harbaugh team, do you
feel like you're gonna get to doall kinds of cool stuff formation wise and
like do the wave and the presetand all that. Yeah, you know

(20:56):
when you hear when you hear CoachHarbaugh talk about offensive line playing, what
do you want to you know fromit? It's it's such an exciting feeling
for me. I love what Ido. I love playing offensive line,
and you know, him having somuch appreciation for that group and whine to
to succeed. It makes me wantto play to my best and you know,
try to fulfill you know what's there, why they saw it happening,
drafted me. So it just makesme more excited and want to look that

(21:17):
much harder for that position. Forcoach Charbo. One of the fun things
about the draft is the at homecam and trying to figure out who's there,
like who got to sit on thecouch, who is in the back
row, who was in the wayback That was maybe you know, grabbing
something to eat when your name wasannounced and they missed all the fun and
came running in late. So whowas in the room with you there?

(21:37):
And what was that celebration? Like? Yeah, so in the for chairs
up fun it was my mom,my dad, and my girlfriend and then
you know behind me was all mybrothers and sisters, brother in laws and
sister in laws and these is inthat years so pretty much my immediate family.
And the celebration was you know forme is I mean, you made
sure I should showed gratitude to myfamily and the people who came to support

(21:59):
me and have supported me so far, you know, in my life and
telling me how to be a manand out of you know, love sports
and love different sports and all ofthat. So for me, it was
just a great opportunity to show gratitudeall of them and to spend the night
with them was was a lot offun. Well that's you know, that's
hard because it's like a wedding.You know, there's people that don't make
They don't make the cut, youknow, right, was there anybody like

(22:22):
that wanted in that just that whatthere weren't They weren't going to make it.
No. I think for the mostpart we were pretty open to letting
everybody in. You know, wesaid that invites, but if someone reached
out, we were kind of like, yeah, they definitely can come,
because you know, for me,it's if they're they're reaching out to people
that you know, matter to meand supported me. So I kind of
let everybody come now. And youlooked good. I mean you looked you

(22:45):
looked classy. Uh, there's nodoubt about it. Did you think about
getting like a tailored suit or somethingmaybe a little less conservative? I did?
You know? I've I've always beenkind of more of that, uh
you know for but no, nothingcrazy kind of look that you show I
in my personality. So I justkind of kept it to who I was
and you know, wore something Iwear a normal day and didn't get too

(23:07):
fancy with it. Oh yeah, that's offensive line, Like right there?
What about uh the ranks? Hey, what about do you watch a lot
of or had you watched a lotof Michigan football, you know, I
would just to kind of appreciate howthey play offensive line, maybe the way
they're playing football, to get anidea of what maybe this thing's going to
look like and and will it bethat much different than what you were asked

(23:27):
to do at Notre Dame from kindof your early impressions. Yeah, I
did watch a lot of Michigan tapejust because they're revivally and you know,
I always were good, So wheneverwe had an opportunity, outs going to
watch the best. So we'll watchtheir offensive line play often. I think
it's very similar to how we dothings at Notre Dame. You know,
it's a lot of heavy group andthat's what we were in Other Dame.

(23:48):
So I feel that, you know, the schemes and the what I'm being
asked is similar going forward, whichI'm excited about. And you know,
it's always fun to watch teams arereally good at what they do because you
pick up little things and honest excitedfor this next opportunity and continue with on
my craft. Now, we've oftenasked people this, Joe and and a
lot of the they always say thesame thing. But then you know,
we we we still were like gargoyles. You know, we watch we're like

(24:11):
sentinels. We see, you knowwhat everybody does once they come to the
city. Are you in danger ofgoing Hollywood? I mean, I know
you look conservative, but you know, is there a chance you think you
could come out here and end uplike one of the Kelsey brothers, you
know, like in movies and postinggame shows and you know, hanging out
at the club, sequin outfits stuffstuff of that nature. I mean,

(24:34):
is that a concern? Did youtalk to your father and brothers about that?
No, I don't think it's aconcern. I think I'm pretty set
in my way as and how Iwas raised, and I don't think I'm
going to be you know, changedanytime. Shit. I feel comfortable with
where I'm at and how I ask. So I don't think you're going to
me, you know, going Hollywoodin that aspect. You know, I'll
always be a personal guy, butI don't think I'll be changing too much

(24:56):
of who I am, all right. I mean, I mean clip it
there, Matt, because that's whatthat's said. And look at him now,
maybe his maybe his brother Mark, you know warned him of the perils
of Los Angeles as a player forthe Kings for a little bit of time
there. Did he share anything aboutwhat life is like in uh in Los
Angeles, Yes he has, andhe had only positive to say. He

(25:18):
loved it, hear, he lovesspending time here and you know, being
able to get out of the Minnesotacold and come with some nice weather and
you know, great places to getho and everything like that. So he
did share a little with me,and obviously pretty fresh. So so I'm
looking forward to talking him more moreclearly about it later. Normally when we
h we talk about multi sport athletesin football, it's it's maybe basketball,
some some track and field in there. Did you did you play hockey growing

(25:40):
up as well? And did yououtgrow it? Or if you did play,
how did you move on from thatsport since your brother was obviously incredible
at it. Yeah, I playedhockey up until second grade. The problem
for me was just the size thing. My body was not a hockey player
build. I was one of alittle bigger kid and just hockey wasn't in
the cars for me a long,So I ended up folks asketball. Last
thing from me Joe, just waswere any of the guys there. Do

(26:04):
you have a chance to meet withwith Rashaun Slater or Zion or any of
the offensive And what about the coaches, you know, Coach dev And and
coach Hardwick, and just kind ofyour first impressions of the group that you're
going to be working with. Yeah, I was in with me with coach
Devn Coach hard Work today just kindof got you know, the first impression.
Got to talk to some of thegentle stelf and uh that it was
great. I'm looking forward to thisday to getting a litle forward and getting

(26:26):
folks on football again. So itwas a great start. No players were
I don't many players today, butI look forward to getting on over the
phone and when I come back again, I look forward to it. Okay,
I'll tattooed and weird like hard Wickand stuff. Don't do it,
dude, they won't take a lookat them. They won't take you back
home in Minnesota. Look at him. He's a freak. Well, God

(26:48):
bless you. Congratulations to you. It's great to have you out here.
What a wonderful player and a greatperson and a great sports family. And
uh, here's a great first offseason and a great camp and all of
that mini camp and everything. Thanksa lot, Joe having it. Thank
you, thank you. I appreciatethe time. All right. There he
goes like a young offensive tackle witha nice sweater on exactly right and a

(27:14):
good attitude quadruple XL sweater on.And you know there is something to that.
And we talk about it, andwe talked about it when Harbaugh got
the job, and I talked aboutit when he was at Stanford and beyond.
He's a quarterback head coach in thathe played quarterback in the NFL,
and almost every one of those guysis some kind of offensive freak who wants

(27:40):
to throw the ball on every down. I schemed it up, man,
Sam Person, they figured it outright and and the truth is that's not
what Harbaugh is at all. Andwhen he says they feature the offensive line,
they feature the offensive line. Andbeing in a football building where you're
on the team and stuff, youcan tell the way the coaches are and
how they see different positions. Anda lot of coaches who are obsessed with

(28:07):
their scheme and their ability to foolof safety or break a record throwing the
ball or do something here or there. In that nature, they see the
offensive line kind of as a necessaryevil or a group to blame as opposed
to a group to feature and celebrateand a group to help out to help

(28:30):
them succeed. Nobody helps an offensiveline succeed better in my football career doing
this and watching teams at all kindsof different levels, and I watched his
teams at USD. No one helpsguys succeed more upfront than Jim Harbaugh.
And it's a credit to him asa complete football coach top to bottom,

(28:52):
not just a guy who knows howto coach the quarterback to drop back and
deliver the ball in all the differentways and all the differ for progressions,
and you know, some of itand you know, you even see it
with Andy Reid because he's a greatcoach. Some of it is just letting
those guys have a little bit offun. You know, Let's bring in
an extra alignment and put it ata tight end. Let's do a weird

(29:14):
wave in the preset before that, let's shift, let's move, let's do
ring around the rosie before we go. You know, let's do it.
And Harbass started all that, andit's continuing today. And I guess it's
no surprise that they would draft aguy to do just that. Obviously,

(29:37):
you have the football acumen and insightto break all that down so perfectly and
eloquently. I just simply look ata guy who's a head coach on the
offensive that comes from the offensive sideof the ball. And when I see
him all gelled up and wearing fancyclothes and he sits in front of the

(30:00):
air and starts talking about, youknow, hey, we're gonna I know
he's looking to scheme it up.I know he's looking for that bullet place
guys, all right. And whenI look at Jim Harball, you know
what I see. I see aguy with a dry look. I see
a guy with a plaid shirt,plaid coat. That's what I see.
I see that hair is real dry. There drop a gel in there,
man. It's interesting because Andy Reidand Jim Harbaugh could not be more different

(30:22):
in almost every way, but theystill look like football coaches like the ones
we grew up with, as opposedto the Silicon Valley CEOs of today,
which is Yeah, it's not tosay that Sean McVay is not a great
football coach. He is, heis but a little rose, and little
rose versus a pouch of red Manin his pocket. It's what we're talking

(30:45):
about here, La Flur. Youknow, Yeah, that's a lot of
gel Man. That is a lotof product in that hair. And there
is not a single strand at aplace whereas there was not a single strand
of hair in place for Jim Harboryesterday when he paused and looked into space
and said tip of the spear.Yeah, And he's right though, you

(31:08):
know what I mean. These areand it's a different way to look at
football. But in my opinion andthe way I was raised, which is
antiquated, uh, it's the rightway to look at football. These are
positions to be celebrated. These arenot These are the most important people on
the field for your team's success.So it's not like it's a surprise.

(31:30):
But I guess congratulations to Joe Allyou will be celebrated. Young man.
Well look, if you're gonna getpicked by somebody who loves offensive line,
it's probably good to be an offensivelineman. That turns out, especially a
young one. It's just sewing hisoats, mom, dad, girlfriend,
behind me, brothers, aunts, uncles, nephews. He did not look

(31:52):
happy. She just looks scared, like I'm not gonna survive. I'm out
here in Finland, Minnesota. Yeah, and we're not going to Nashville.
She just saw the l A.P. D. Swinging batons at sc
right, swinging batons like Otani overon Jefferson and Pero. Hey, it's

(32:16):
JP, everybody. Oh that's right, man, it's JP horns Today Dodgers
are in Canada. JP thought thatthat Otani was going to be in Toronto,
got some intel that the USC graduationwas going to go off for schedule
that I guess it was just badintel. Took three days direct this apology.

(32:38):
JP here, sir, you knowI got some bad intel. I
trusted the wrong sources they told me, and I believe the people that I
talked to. Hey, I've beendoing this for a long time. Okay,
you've been doing a long time now. I appreciate things happen. Reached
out to me and said, hey, it's happened to me too. It's
okay. It happens to everybody.Happens to the best. My only regret

(33:00):
is we had no time to abuseVIC today. Me too. I wanted
him to say, I believe,I believe there's a path to the ship.
That's what he said last year whenthey went down, when they were
down O three. I want himto say it again. Say it again,
out of your mouth. Think thankyou to Joe alt knewest charger drafted,

(33:24):
number five overall. The draft continuestoday second and third round and then
tomorrow four five sixty seven. Hewas thanking to chargers making Joe available.
Congratulations to him and his family andhis girlfriend, not his sister there on
the front row, four on thecouch, Mom, dad, gal,

(33:45):
we're going until three o'clock. Notnot pleased. I think she would have
liked something a little closer to home, a little stunt, closer to family
values. Itto and iocha ito andoyocha Number one green tea mean Johnny,
see the lax twice about coming outhere. Perfect source of caffeine and it
gets you through the day. Lookfor the green cann or bottle. It's

(34:07):
available at the local Dizo stores, also Amazon and eto N dot com.
That's I t O e N dotcom. What's the matter with those guys
that you went on the show with. Why don't they say they're pull Smoker.
I guess it's la. Things aredifferent out here than Minnesota. Brought
to you by your Toyota Soca textus all fine, brought to you by

(34:28):
your so called Toyota dealers. Wemake it easy, Yes, we do
easy on you. Hey, peon the week behind in the podcast,
I love the PMS punk rock AIsong. You guys got to start using
it for the new Open Again. We can leave it in the podcast Fat
Roads back Shoot the Brace Punk lookFine on the Wife, Please, guys,

(34:55):
why sucking it? I mean,I don't know why I think we

(35:21):
should do it old. It nevergets old, Kates, I don't know
what song we should get rid of, but I'm willing to look into it.
I don't want to get rid ofthe Arcade Fire, but I still
hate Dan Patrick. Yeah, youbitches are out of pocket. They're going
to make a statue for this sweepat the Crypt back to back most competitive

(35:44):
sweeps of whole time. Now,look, we don't know if they're gonna
get swept. They are would itbe would it be like Lebron with the
o cedar in his hand? Oris it? Is it just like a
push broom on its own, justjust stands there without a player, and
that's just the broom itself. Isthe statue? You know, it's a

(36:04):
great question. Look at this text. I'm starting to think you and Matt
don't actually believe in the competitiveness ofthe Lakers back to back playoff sweeps to
the nuts and are just being condescendingand snide. I give you that idea.
I don't know. Lebron is royallygetting nailed the same way he nailed
all of us. Payback is abatch. Well, the truth is,

(36:28):
you know, when you're in thatmotel room and you're living in such a
cd and and unflattering way, you'renot just nailing that hook. You're getting
nailed by yourself because of the way. Maybe it could be a statue of

(36:50):
Victor Brick holding them. Yeah, yeah, very beautiful. I know deep
down both of you are just jealous. Not in the King's court, you
would pay any bouncy to be partof the hammer and not the nail.
You know, Lebron listens, He'sgoing to make one call to the big
Boss, the contender, and haveyou dildos doing overnights on eleven fifty.

(37:15):
I'm sorry us, what dildo's nowMatt Sun Oh god. Now, look,
I would love, just like JoeMcDonald to have a satellite show on
AM eleven fifty so I can complainabout kids in college. But uh,

(37:37):
I don't think Lebron would call thecontender to do that. Maybe he would,
but I don't think the contender wouldtake that call. I'm sending you
to voicemail. How you like that? I always knew you guys, Yes,
the contender. I always knew you, guys. Smoke pole two brooms

(38:02):
leaning against one another to represent backto back sweeps. Pretty great idea when
you when you can have like apush broom and the regular sweeper. I
like it. Yeah, I don'tknow. Yeah, you know, sometimes
you like to have the the thekind of balance of two swords that look

(38:27):
the same, you know, likea like the crest of a family or
something like that. I don't know. It's not up to us, really,
Matt, it's not up to us. Taymore has more of the artists
than we do. In the artists, the sculptors, the artist. I
don't know if you've heard my uhequine safety uh commercials, Matt, my

(38:50):
equestrian safety stuff. I don't knowif i've heard that I have an equestrian
safety commercial going on on the onthe station. Uh, I've been apt
to read the equestrian safety commercial aboutnew advancements in equestrian safetyness general? Or
is this for on our station? On our station? No, I believe

(39:12):
in general? I think I thinkmy umbrella of safety for horses goes all
the way from Santa Anita down todel Mar, Okay and covers low South.
Can I get a witness, Kates, Well, you were a super
salute detective and finding out what wasreally happening to the horse? Is that
why I think they realize your yourlove for the horse racing experience is what

(39:34):
gave you that spot. Is thatwhy I got the commercial? Is that
why I was able to nail thataccount? Actually? I think you might
have actually just been here at theright time. No, day, they
don't know that I saluted it out, I don't think. So. How
do they know I have cass? This text says, because when you think
about quine safety, Papadacus is thefirst name that comes to mind. Thank

(39:55):
you, sir, thank you. There's a reason for it, Kates.
Things don't just happen, right, don't you clear your throat, like you're
gonna attack me and my horse knowledge. Well, it's your surname. No,
it's certain, No, it's notto horse safety. No safety.
I'm not a name Papadakas in historywith horses. I'm not a horse baby.

(40:19):
I'm not Bob Baffert's son, Iknow Senator's son. I think it
maybe even when you attach your youryour surname and then add to verna to
the end of it and perhaps namea horse Papadagas, there is nothing but
safety ahead for that animal. Onebad thing happened in the family with a
horse that burned alive at a gasstation on the border between Arizona and California.

(40:45):
What was the name of that horse, Papadakas temvern It was named for
the restaurant, which was unfortunate.I'll be making that drive to Marl Petros.
Is there a certain uh mile mark? I should be looking out for
memorial and needles. Okay, builtthat like in Zoolander where they had the
guys with the gas fight, theyhad the statues, we should build a
burning horse well with a waiter anda cigarette in his hand trailer. That

(41:09):
horse did burn to death, butwe never served horse meat, not at
the Coltberger or Burger. Far asyou know, we never served. How
old were you when Coltberger was inits peak? Old enough to know that
that was one hundred percent grade aprime beef. That is no general in

(41:30):
broad an answer, old enough toknow. Yeah, sign me up for
equine safety with this guy. I'mthe voice of equine safety. Clearly.
It's a lot like where a guydid a bunch of drugs and now he's
a counselor. Right, Oh,because I know I know what it's like.

(41:52):
Look, i'm holding stuff. I'mjuiced up a few race horses in
my day. Hey, kiddy, you're holding Just making sure that's all.
We'll be back with your word numbersong. Top story of the day,
Dead and Alive. Thank you toJoel
