(01:36):
Kevin, Hey, oh God,make it time, Kevin, I can't

the kind of And I was worriedabout the Ducks event taking away the parking
from us, but it turned outeffect. Nobody came to the Ducks event.
People came to our event, zeroeffect. You might even argue that

(04:12):
we're more popular than the Ducks.Well, I would say this's that's a
half truth. Did anyone come tothe Ducks event? No, but Donna's
party, Donna who had the fourreserved tables. Yeah, it was a
bridal shower. Did that transition work? Okay? Grant's issue was fine to
move our people out. It wasn'tlike Chavez Ravine. It wasn't violent.

(04:33):
One of the Donna party was ableto win a prize. Oh, really.
Yes, they won a pair ofDodger tickets. Someone from the Donna
party. Now later I heard thatthey ate each other. That's exactly what
happened. Cannibalism, That's exactly whathappened. Right on the Massacre River in
Haiti. There the food trucks shutdown, there was no food left,

And I looked at her. Sayit every day, I swear.
But she also really into the EasternIsland statues and he took her out there.
But she liked, you know, there is that French word for me
being so ugly that I come aroundthe other side as attractive. I don't

(13:07):

Victor Brick chakon I'm a big fanof Vicks. Vic. Oh feeling you
chilling you, my brother? Haveyou guys ever spoken before? Vic?

(15:20):
This? This is the first.God, Why didn't you guys start to
be a great success or a giganticdisaster? Victor, I don't screw it
up. I feel it's slipping towardthe ladder. Vic, Why don't you
guys talk about the East Coast andget your East Coast on? You know,
like you're an East Coast guy. This guy's got real East Coast.
I'm a boy from the Bronx.I hear Vic speaking and I'm I'm relating

(15:41):
to him. Born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens. Sure that I'm a
child of the Borrows as you are. Yes, I am. Vic?
Actually, has you gotta come onmore than that, Vick VI. My
sister sells pelts. She's a peltist. She's a peltist in the city.
You got this thing love music goingon in the back. He's got to
do this to cover bits Vic's echo. And he Vic, now in his

(16:04):
later years, no longer throws downthe soul patch and the Paisley vibe.
He's much more of an Eastern thoughtkind of uh guru time right, hence
the music Maharishi there you go.Yeah. Yes, if George Harrison,
you know, Vic was, youknow, thirty years younger, George Harrison
would be, you know, hangingout playing his guitar. I'm just thinking,

(16:26):
I'm seeking the great tranquility. That'swhat I do. That's what you
do on a daily basis, justtrying to seek the tranquility. You know,
Vick, I've come down here todefend you on that several occasions.
Thank you so much. I appreciatethat you said the guys were being a
little too hard on me. Thankyou, Thank you for your support.
You could have depended on him,Vic, instead of calling Elliott Gould and

(16:48):
having him bullied me on the phone. He called Elliott Gould. It's called
Elliott Gould, and Gould called meand cussed me out, and then Gould
said, did you tell Matt tof off too? Imagine me driving on
peace h listening to the phone goterrible feeling. That was strictly all Gold
like, Oh you're saying you putyou saying. Gould was was not called

(17:11):
called it in none of though. He's a devout listener of the Petro Some
Money Show loves a five seven, the l a sports. He took it
upon himself and loves the claw.He loves the iHeart Radio punching me right
in the chest that he mashed BobBob ted Carroll and Alice the law goodbye,
deeply, deeply underrated. Well, guys, I'm still a touch with

(17:36):
Bob. Before you trying to getout. You get out before we get
you in the defense. Show uplate, leave early. He pulled the
cord right now, exactly all right, all right, we were gonna go
into the peltiest, but you knowno, it's all right. We love
you, Thank you, boss, thanks for coming to our event. Was
very ecation. I'm feeling you.And we'll have another that the opponent will
be the opponent's coming else a gun. He's gonna fight. We're gonna set

(18:00):
up rolling that he's gonna fight.Jake Paul needs an opponent. We've got
the opponent. He needs an opponent. We're gonna doone. We're gonna do
that old school big like ink tattooon his back. You know it's gonna
say iHeartMedia. Oh yeah, withthe QR code for the thousand dollars.
Oh god, see r el SegundoRock and Brus one forty three Main Street,

(18:26):
corner of Maine and Franklin. Asyou said, pen as our third
consecutive, you're going there now thatthe opponent came down, we don't have
to come to work for the restof the week. That's right. Opponent
already saw us. We're good.We should have told him that we were
at that meeting. I almost skippedtoday too. I almost was like,
you know what, fourth of Julyweek, every we just do the show

(18:47):
for a home and no, there'sresponsibility. It's a four hour show.
Let's go away the rest of theweek. Though, after the opponent was
here, no chance I heard Roganand Rodney were about to fight to day,
Vic, did you feel that vibe? It was edgy, very very
edgy. I don't see no quote. Yeah, walk us through it because

(19:07):
Kevin gave us nothing well till aboutthe look Kevin Figers likes me less and
less as the day's goal with hisemployers. What happened, Vic? Rodney
got upset because Fred was taking shotsat Lebron. Yeah, I didn't see
no quote. Very it was nebulouson Lebron restructuring his deal, taking a

(19:33):
cut of twenty five million dollars totry to induce Lay Thompson right to become
a Laker. Right that was reported, and Rich Paul was cited as a
source in that right exactly, Andso Rodney didn't like that. Well,
Fred was saying, only he'll takethe cut if it's the right player.

(19:55):
And obviously, you know, cuttingcutting the edge off of Lebron's in the
offer of cutting. You know,I see what you're saying, Hey,
why not just take the cut andlet the team figure it out instead of
you declaring which player they need tosign in order for you to give him
a financial break. Just hey, guys, I'll take twenty mili less you
go out and fill some holes.I think what you're saying exactly, and

(20:18):
that good point. It was.It was a good point, and I
think Rodney was was saying it wasit was another attempt by Fred to devalue
you know, Lebron James's power. But obviously if he has, you know,
he has the money, you know, to give back to the Lakers
so they can get a Klay Thompsonor Demaud de Rosen. I heard.

(20:41):
This was the maddest Rodney's been withFred since they argued about that reporter getting
suspended at USC Remember Fred go realhot about that and Rodney he was even
more mad than when he didn't winthe game. Well, that was a
different level of anger. It wasedgy and it was fun. But but

(21:03):
again the Lakers failed to come throughbecause Claik clak Thompson is on his way
to the Dallas What's that doesn't reallymatter there? Ron, So now what
I heard, things got a littleugly, Vic. That's all people are
on edge, George and Philly peopleare on edge. And you're still riding
the nuts of Brownnie come lately.Huh huh, Vic, I'm I'm a

(21:30):
little I'm bummed out that Paul Georgehas left the city. Answered, you
won't even answered the Brownie query.Wants nothing to do with it. That's
a project, are you Are younot riding his nuts? Yes or no
question? Vic? Yes, I'mwriting his nuts. No, I'm not
riding his nuts. It's a greatproject. It's a great storyline, and
I'm so curious. I'd love itto be a happy ending, I really

(21:53):
do. I will. I wouldlove to see him flourish, uh,
you know, in the South Bayinto South Bank guys, Nuts was an
RTD, you'd have a season pass. Vic, you're riding nuts. That's
a project. Listen at fifty five. Let it be at fifty five,
Let it be No, it's amessage that sends to everybody else. Viac.

(22:15):
It doesn't matter. These things don'thappen in a vacuum. You think
anybody around the league and on thatteam is going to respect Brownny Come lately
coming in there acting all hard withBrian Windhorse. You think wind Horse is
gonna protect him from some angry dudefrom Prairie View, A and M in
the G League. It's gonna hanghis nuts on Ronnie's neck because he's only

(22:37):
six to one. Well, he'sgone, he's gonna earn a spot eyeing.
Now's the time he's got to work. He's gotta he's really got a
grind eyeing. What do you makeof Lebron's striking out on his three targets?
Like, imagine you're rich Paul andyou feed either no neck or the
rhino with Klay Thompson, Jonas Valanciunis, who's the rhino? Ryan, Ryan

(23:03):
Rossillo and James Arden and none ofthem signed with the Lakers. I mean,
you really got your thing in yourhand, don't you. You're really
standing there with your member just rightthere in your hand, like, hey,
look at me, like your phone? What do you make of that?
Vig? You feel pretty sun,You feel pretty stupid, wouldn't you
if you were Lebron. I'm stunned. I'm stunned that Klay Thompson didn't come

(23:26):
home. Don't do it, Claire. You don't want any part of this.
You don't want any part of thisteam. Lebron's ruined everything. You
gotta be part of the badmind. It ain't like it was. There's no
more family. Doctor Buss's dude eatsa bunch of cutthroats, get job,

(23:48):
go with Luca. I mean youwould assume his old man would say,
you know right, wouldn't you?But he didn't want to go. Hey
dad, how is it with theLakers? It's a living night? What
Clay says? He thought he hada better shot of winning a title with
Dallas kick to the nuts. Buthe's right, all right, Vic,
Well that'll be three years, fiftymillion. He had a lot more lucrative

(24:14):
offers did Klay Thompson, but hewent with less money, you know,
the three years fifty with Dallas, you know, fourth shot at his fifth
title. We can discuss this moretomorrow. Vic. Absolutely, we have
Don McClean coming on next week.I thought you would be able to engage
the opponent more on the New YorkVibe. There was an awkward silence and
then we had to stand and die. Yeah, we're for like some great

(24:37):
burrow, you know, tales fromthe Five Boroughs. Yeah, in Cosmo
Yakavazzi, my teeth and the SewerGrunfeld to be continued. I don't know
if the opponent's coming back. Youknow, we said that before, but
he came back. I couldn't believeit. He's like George Foreman, he
keeps coming back to fight, grandsDance. We'll be right back with marg

(24:59):
Great Sports Talk Todd McClain an emergencySports Talk Paul George has gone interview next
and what they get you doing wellme mention it. Last segment started the
show. Mark your Calendar's Friday,July nineteenth, third stop on the PMS

(25:21):

a week from this Friday, Julynineteenth, two weeks from this Friday,
two weeks from this Friday, Julynineteenth, Rock and Bruise El Segundo,
all right, joining us right nowon your Southern California Toyota Diner celebrity hotline.

(25:42):
Free agency has exploded, and thoughhe truly resents, unless he's in
as a co host, coming onon a Monday, there's nothing we can
do. We're not going to beon Thursday or Friday, which is his
customary time. And this story ishot, and it's hot right now,
and we got to strike the hammerwhile the iron is hah. The leading

(26:03):
scorer in the history of the PACtwelve and UCLA. His statue stands in
Lemon Park and seem Valley. Hejust had an incredibly productive draft again with
CAA. And as the world ofbasketball turns and changes, we need the
guidance from Don McClain on am FIseventy LA Sports. Let's cracking, Don,
How are you sorry? Let's givethis a rip. I'm not sure

(26:27):
this time of year how well mybrain works on a Monday, but let's
give it a go. Come on, Don, I mean, what can
we do? I mean, youknow there's a lot of free agency.
You're our guy. You know.I mean, I wouldn't want to call
Sam Amic you know, tell us, were you surprised when Paul George made
the decision he made And what doesit mean that the Clippers didn't seem to

(26:51):
be that into bringing him back forwhat he wanted. Yeah, I'm not
surprised because if it was going toget done, it probably would have already
have been done, you know whatI mean, Like you just the longer
it went on, you just hadthis feeling that he was really going to
look hard at going somewhere else. And I think one thing that people have
to understand is this, when you'rea professional and you guys understand this.

(27:11):
When you're a professional athlete, youonly have a small window to make as
much money as you can. That'sall. You can be an NBA player
for forty years like a career, you know, so when you're talking about
an extra year, which is whyI haven't talked to them, but it
seems like it came down to thatfourth year. When you're talking about a
fourth year guaranteed at forty plus million, this deep into his career, that's

(27:37):
something that you really can't pass up. And I get it from the Clippers
standpoint of managing that cap and thiswhole second Apron thing that's going on,
you have to be able to havesome flexibility, and they just couldn't do
it with PG. But somebody elsewas willing to. And I think that
Paul and his representatives had to lookat that, and I think that's what
it ultimately came down to, ismaximizing years and dollars at the end of

(28:00):
his career, no doubt. Imean, there's no way you can blame
Paul George for taking it. Itends up what it looks like, don
and you would know better than us, but about seventy million bucks that you
know reports where it was the samedeal they offered Kawhi and he ends up
getting four for two twy. It'sa ridiculous amount of money to walk away
from. You just got to takeit. But from the Clippers side,

(28:21):
the one thing that I'm trying tofigure out, and by all means,
it appears as though the NBA hasdone what they wanted, trying to get
some more competitive balance with this secondApron stuff, and nobody wants to be
over that thing. But they werewilling to give them the three one fifty,
which would have put them clear inthat second apron for the next three
years. So I'm wondering if it'sjust that's kind of what their timeline was,

(28:41):
like, Hey, we don't wantthis thing going past twenty twenty seven,
and that's when we're going to resetthem. Trying to figure out why
they were stuck at three years anddecided to let them walk, you know
what I mean. Yeah, Iknow what you're saying, man, But
I think every every franchise projects out, you know, they don't just live
in the moment of the year.I mean some teams do. They go
all in and trade and give awayall their picks and go for it.

(29:04):
But the Clippers have kind of beenin the same realm for a while now
where they're contenders. Unfortunately, they'vehad some health in the playoffs, so
they haven't gotten it done. ButI also think they look at Kawhi and
PG their window. I mean,I think PG in three years is going
to be on year eighteen if I'mnot mistaken. And so when you're talking
about giving a guy fifty million dollarsfor his nineteen season in the NBA,

(29:26):
look, Lebron's still doing it.But Lebron's a freak and maybe the biggest
freak athlete that the NBA has everseen. And so I think that I
don't know, but I think that'spartly what it had to do with.
It's like, look, guys,we got if we can get Kawhi and
PG back, we got three yearsto try and get this thing done,
and if we can't, we're eitherstarting over, we're stripping it down,

(29:48):
or we're going in a different direction. So I have a feeling that's what
it was. But again you goback to PG side Matt like, it's
not like he's going to some crapteam for more money. Like, that's
a legitimate a team now if Ibeing can stay healthy him and Maxie like,
he's got a legitimate chance to winan NBA championship in Philadelphia. What
does it say for the Clippers, don like moving forward? What do you

(30:11):
think the sort of the idea isorganizationally going into next year? Do they
try to find multiple guys to fillwhat PG did you know so well as
just one player? Or are wegoing to maybe see trades Like how do
you envision this thing going? Well? They kind of did, I mean,
they resigned Batoomb and Derek Jones bothvery good defenders, and I think,
you know, looking at their roster, I haven't looked at it real

(30:33):
deep, but knowing what I know, I think they feel like offensively,
with Harden and Kawhi and the otherguys they have, they'll have enough offense.
It was replacing pg's defense on thewing. I think that that's what
it looked like to me that theysigned Jones and Batoom, because they are
both very good wing defenders to atleast take care of that side of the
ball. But I still think they'rea very very good team. Are they

(30:56):
a contender? Kind of need tosee how it plays out. They're certainly
not as good without PG as theywould have been had they been able to
keep them, so correct me ifI'm wrong. Gone, But apparently over
the weekend, Lebron's people said hewas willing to take a pay cut for
these certain players, and the Lakersdidn't get any of those players. So
does he not take a pay cut? How does that work? Well,

(31:19):
free agency is not over, andI haven't looked to see who's still left
as free agents, but I thinkit works. How Like you just said,
if no one's left to get wemight as well, just give him
his money because there's no one elseto give it to. I think if
he did take a little less,it might give him some flexibility, not
that they're going to ever trade Lebron, but just in terms of their cap.

(31:41):
But yeah, it's an interesting situation. And you know, it is
La it is the Lakers. Itis a little bit curious that they didn't
get any of the big free agentswhen when something like that happens, it
leaks out that Lebron wants to takea pay cut so these certain guys can
come. Is that necessary? Doesit have to leak out for it to

(32:04):
happen? Why does that leak out? What couldn't they just do that?
You know what I mean? Idon't get it. I go back years
ago, and really the only guythat's ever really taken a pay cut for
the betterment of the team, toimprove the roster is Tim Duncan. He
was a guy that at the timewas worth twenty to twenty five million,
and he took ten million a year. That's the only example I can remember

(32:29):
of a guy really taking a paycut so that they could sign other players
or trade for other players or whateverit was. And so and no one
knew about that. I didn't evenknow about it at the time. And
so, yeah, you're right. If it's really about just improving your team,
you've made gobs of money, andit's not about the money anymore.
It's about winning championships. You takea real pay cut. It's like the

(32:52):
old thing, like everybody says they'reready to take a pay cut until it's
time to actually take a paycut. And so, you know what, whether
it leaked out on purpose or not, I don't know, but it does
seem a little bit weird that heif he was willing to take a pay
cut, how they weren't able towork something out with some of these higher
profile free agent guys. Yeah, that's the part that I kind of find

(33:15):
interesting, Donna. And you know, look, Klay Thompson's going to join
a Dallas team. It was justin the NBA Finals. I get that.
But you know what Clay's connection isto the Lakers. He grew up,
you know, shooting around on thosefloors before and after basketball games.
He and Kobe were close. Hisdad still works for the team. Lebron
apparently reached out to him to pitchhim on coming down to join him.

(33:35):
In La. He turns him down. We knew James Harden got way too
much money for the Lakers to beable to afford him. And then the
third name on there is the onethat I'm really scratching my head, Jonas
Valanciunas, and he takes a threeyear deal in Washington, a team that
won fifteen games last year. I'mjust wondering, you know, before the
Lakers were a destination for guys likeRick Fox and Robert Or and Brian Shaw
and like just man they got arethey going to get shut out? You

(33:58):
think, is it not as desirableas we think think it is? Well,
it certainly seems that way right now. The one thing I would say,
and we've talked about this, Ihappen to think that JJ Reddick's going
to become a very good coach. But there's unknown and I think Klay Thompson,
this deep into his career, islooking at it going well, I
look at the roster, but yougot a guy that's coaching that's never coached

(34:20):
before. I'm not going to playfor very much longer. I'm joining a
team that was in the finals lastyear, have one of the best five
players in the league, on myteam, and so that gives me a
real chance to win another championship. And so I don't think it's so much
that you know, the Lakers aren'tdesirable, but I think the guy like
Klay Thompson, this deepened his careeris like, look, I got to
win now, and we don't knowhow good JJ Reddick's going to be,

(34:44):
We don't know if Anthony Davis isgoing to stay healthy. This is a
better chance for me to try andwin a championship right now. How tough
is it? Like when you justlook at the way this thing stacked up?
You said it, I mean,Paul, George, Maxi and mbid.
We know what Boston has in theirBig three, and that just the
fact that I know Hart and Steinis not somebody that everybody knows. But

(35:05):
you add that to that young coreof Oklahoma Steins, Like where how I'm
looking at the Lakers and Clippers goinghow do you fit into these? You
know, to Denver in Dallas andMinnesota and Oklahoma City, it looks like
they're just yeah, they're not inthat same you know, top tier category.
Well everything cycles, you know,it does in pro sports and in

(35:28):
the NBA, and you know,it feels like the Lakers and Clippers are
at the end of this cycle wherethey had a chance to win, or
still do have a chance to win, but they haven't built it up like
the thunder hat like that. Youknow. Look, everybody including me,
was was taking shots at Minnesota whenthey gave away all those picks for Gobert.
Well it turns out, you know, they didn't win it this year,

(35:49):
but they're a lot better than theywere three four years ago. And
so you know, it's a caseby case basis. But I just think
that the Clippers, you know, they were right there for five years with
Kawhi and PG. They just unfortunatelycould not stay healthy in the playoffs.
And I think if they had, they might have broken through one of those
years. And but these younger teams, they build through the draft, guys

(36:14):
get better. You make trades foryoung guys that in a bigger role,
in a better role on this newteam. They've thrived like she Kildess,
Alexander, those type of guys. And so that's where it's at right now,
and it'll be interesting to see onceonce the season starts, how all
this kind of plays out. Sharpas a pirate Scabbard, the Great Don
McClain, Ladies and gentlemen, there'snobody better. We appreciated Don. Thank

(36:37):
you. If you want to seeEric Musselman, I think he's coming out
to our event on a couple offridays. Out at It the Rock and

when he was at Arkansas. Whatdo you got going? Unfortunately, unfortunately,

(37:00):
I think I'm going to be inIndianapolis that weekend. It's beautiful that
time of year. I'd much I'dmuch rather be there whipping off my shirt
and you know, bringing it aroundmy head. Yeah. Yeah, we'll
head down to Doc Wiler afterwards andjump into the smokestacks. All right,
we love you much so much.I said, hello, we sure will.

a horse. Well now meets alot of great sports talk. Hush.
Thank you to Don McClain. Unfortunately, unfortunately going to be in Indianapolis while
we are in El Segundo. ButEric Musselman, just hired as the head

(38:15):
coach at USC will join us liveand in person, so mark your schedules.
It is two weeks from Friday,July nineteenth, Rock and Bruce Maine
and Franklin and El Segundo. Youcould be our third finalist to win eleven
thousand dollars and also onside prizes. This past Friday, we gave away two
TVs Westinghouse fifty inch five away one, but Dave Lee's God Love Him was

(38:39):
able to extract an extra out ofBrett from Westinghouse. Somebody got short at
five inches. But you might besaying, well, you wouldn't even have
got the fifty you got. Yeah, at least I got the fifty.
I got the fifty dollars. Wegave away ten pair of tickets to Dodgers
Simon tax on July fourth lot ofprize. And I'm sure it will be

(39:00):
no different when it comes to rockand Bruise elsa Gundo. Oh, there's
gonna be a lot of pull smoking. Hey, Kate's yeah, we should
see if Jenna is willing to coughup one of those those VIP cards.
As a grand pros would be abused, but the lapers would abuse that.
They would abuse the hell out,not like people like us, the well

(39:22):
heeled exactly. Imagine they got intothe wrong hands. Yeah, they'd go
every day. I used mine inRedondo and I said, hey, check
this out, get a load ofthis. And what do they say?
They're like, oh, let mecheck, And I was like check,
let me know if that works. And they can't make it, Like,
no, it doesn't. They saidit works. I said, yeah,
it does. Why don't you adda couple more, a couple more burgers,

(39:45):
more of them Culli flower barbecue thingies. It's a model each, a
lot of Monday. You can adda couple more that loads, but right
now it is time because it's Monday. For how is your weekend? Lena?
Do what I do? The weekendis mine. So how was your
weekend? So Matt, you seemto be out and about. Yeah,

(40:05):
it was out a lot this weekend. Surfed early am Saturday, dog park
day for Willow the Dog for anhour or so. Preston played a private
beach party on the strand for well, wasn't private actually, it's public public
beach party for Ron and his beachparty. Uh had a piece of night
at the Minthers. They have anoutdoor pizza oven that we were treated to.

(40:29):
I ate too much. I dranksome IPAs that were a little too
heavy, rode my bike home andI think I might have been inside the
house for forty five seconds before Ipassed that. Okay, it was a
little bit too heavy. So wereyou drunk? I think it was just
a lot, okay, And Ithink the pizza combined with a couple of
little staggered a couple of those sixteenouns like nine percenters. Yes, definitely

(40:50):
knocked me out. You just putyourself to sleep pretty much. Yeah,
exactly. Kate uh Sunday had agreat morning. Our old friend he joined
us at the HQ summer or stopped. Rocky McKinnon asked if a couple of
us could pitch in. He runsa surf school in Huntington, but had
his Veterans Appreciation Day, So alot of vets at the HQ at the
right across from where the HQ was. We've been there before Veterans Day,

(41:14):
getting them out in the water andgot some big guys that he recruited Samoa
Joe. You met Joe, longtimefootball player. Coach Tyler plays water polo,
played water polo at UCLA and meand when't you know it, trying
to help people out and pick himup, make sure they don't fall,
and got a seventy five year oldVietnam vet ogi. Wonderful guy was hanging

(41:38):
out with him on the sand andheld him up as he kind of came
to the end of his belly rideon the board there and I thought his
feet were under him because we werechatting and I kind of had him held
up and then next thing I know, you dropped an old man. I
assumed he was standing and I kindof braced him as I lifted him up

(41:59):
on board, like the end ofthe Lebowski, like this guy walks dead
weight and as he fell, Iyou heard everyone go oh no, and
I was like, great, I'veruined it. Oh god, Yeah,
I mean I felt terrible. Youknow, you try to do some good
and you end up looking like theworst guy to be and everyone's like,
hey, it's I saw what's goingon. You had him? It was
totally fine. You know when everyone'sconsoling you, you're like, oh,

(42:20):
I really f this up. Thisis not good. I've seen a lot
of spinals and nom this guy walks. Yeah. So that was that was
unfortunate, But kudos to Rocky McKinnonfor aving ten fifteen vet's out. I
tried my best. I felt likeI had a positive man able to get
back up? Or did they gurneyhim out? He got back up?

(42:42):
Okay, all right, well that'sgood. We were chatting. I helped
him get his wetsuit off. Whenwe got out of the water, he
said he was fine. He waslike, I was totally fine. But
I just felt like after that, everybody was kind of looking at me like
who brought this clown? A lotof donkeys in the water. I was
the dog dropped an old man. That was me, a bitch, and
I was trying to make up forwardafter that, I was like super involved,

(43:06):
hard people down, and now you'retrying to make the MVP make up
for it. But it doesn't.It was too late, and it was
just too late. You think it'sworse than when Madonna was like get up
out of your chair and dance. That first was in a wheelchair. It
was worse than that. It waswhen I had him and he just fell
forward, and so I was onhis back as he fell forward, and
I was like, oh God,look at this gold bricker. Dude pretended

(43:29):
to be a cripple. I waslike, son up a bitch, Come
on, this guy walks the wonderfulguy too. We're having a great conversation.
His legs just they were noodly orsomething. I think he just assumed
I was gonna carry maybe put himback on the board. No, I
think he probably thought I was goingto put him right back on the board
and push him back out for anotherwave, because that's what we did the

(43:49):
last time through. You were done, and I was like coming up.
You were coming up to get himModello. All right, Kates, didn't
you drop an old cripple? Uhno, in the water. We would
never do that. No, I'mterrible. You know what old an old
Vietnam vecuum drown and like two inchesa walk. Oh jeez. I drowned
my sorrows Friday night into a coupleof Margarita's at Don Cucos after the show,

(44:15):
got home about eight thirty into Burbankand met the wife at Don Cuco's
for dinner and drinks. Oh yeah, and then people getting mad, Hi,
Tim, where are you? It'sme the morning, wondering where you've
been waiting. They can't be mad. We were just there a few days
before that. So it's a balancingact. Guys, it's really hard.

(44:38):
Oh jeez, we'll come back.Who goes, We'll come back. Jeez.
H Saturday night, myself, mywife, the Everetts, and the
Simmons. There were three of uscouples. We went to the San Fernando
Bar, which is right by GoldenRoad Brewery and the train tracks. Okay,
and it's been around for a fewyears, but it's a small,
intimate, little bar and it waspicked as one of twenty four bars by

(44:59):
Zach Bryant, the country singer, part of his great American bar scene,
and they played his new album. Was there He wasn't there. He was
a nasty but Brian wasn't there. He just went to listen to the new
album. Well, they had alive band playing to a girl. Was
there too or not there either? They were in Nashville, The Hawk to

(45:21):
a girl and Zach Bryan were Youdon't get Brian Hawk to us nothing.
No, we got Lizzie Passion andthe Cowboy Assassins playing for you. Laugh.
They were a phenomenal band. Youguys want Tot's a great lady and
had a great time listening to them. And then about eleven o'clock the owner

(45:42):
of the bar came out thanked everybodywas there. There was probably three hundred
people at a place that holds seventyfive. The fire marshall came in from
Glendelle Fire Department and told him nomore. There was a on the door,
bro, no for you, bro. But he walked around with shots
and beers whatever you wanted. Itwas passing them out to all the people.
So it was a great night incelebration of country music and just people

(46:07):
hanging out you go back there.I would, I would. I was
looking around like maybe this is goodfor a petrol some money somewhere too.
I'm like, noa to small, not enough parking, seventy five people.
Can we get Lizzie Manson and theythe Cowboys Ashes, Yeah, Cowboys by
the way, they're guitarists. Wasnot there, so they brought in a

(46:27):
guitarist from like the school of rocklocally around here. That guy was phenomenal.
Guy was singing all these different songs. And everybody knows you're gonna get
on stage with Lizzie Passion and theCowboys, Sassin, you better be on
top of your game. Mister Snavelycame into that stage apart. I mean,
they're your favorite Malibu country rock band, Lizzie Passing and the Cowboy and
says country like Malibu believe it.Uh. Sunday, I was here for
like seven hours Dodgers pre and postgame, hanging out with Colin. You

(46:52):
know, just that was it,smacking seeds, smack seck and seeds.
So, Ronnie, how is yourweekend? Drinking meat cheese and grabbing cheese
cheese. You don't Colin and Ihad a nice weekend. Slept in a
little bit on Saturday, got up, took the dogs out for a nice
walk before it got too hot.The wife and I made a Costco run
and I bought a new umbrella forthe backyard. The way we had was

(47:14):
old and falling apart, years oldactually, so that we bought a new
one that has fancy led lights inside. So yeah, we hooked that up.
On Saturday night, hung up,hung out by the pool. Uh,
sipped on some wine and uh thatwas our Saturday night. On Sunday,
just hung out and did stuff aroundthe house, did some laundry and
uh, I made us a nicesteak dinner with a baked potato and some

(47:35):
salad, and yeah, proud ofmyself. Did chop house? Did you
bring the sour cream into the intothe mikeshere? Now you know what?
Didn't do any any of the sourcream because you know, or well,
I am lactose intolerant, so youknow, we had some cottage cheese along
with the uh, the baked potatoand uh yeah that was that was pretty
much it. That was my weekend. Oh, we did watch the Copa

(47:57):
America. We watched Ecuador and mechAgo. Yeah, Ecuador Anyway, that
was my weekend. Didn't do toomuch, just hung out in God it
was hot this weekend. What aboutyou, Pete? Would you do see
the number on the match buck isold and faded, Aretta. I dropped
my kids around the town. Uh, spent time with my cousins, the

(48:22):
Paposes. They were up around mybecause they're hosting the Little League events up
at the thing. Yeah, Iwas up there. Uh. And I
went to the Crown Prince of SanPedro's house, Mike Lennox, in mild
neighborhood in San Pedro, which makesme a little nostalgic. Okay, I
missed that neighborhood. Uh. Andmy cousin Chris was there. And Uh.

(48:43):
I watched a show of the weekendcalled High Desert, which has been
canceled, but it was Uh gotPatricia Arquette and Matt Dillon and it was
based in like Yucca Valley, PioneerTown, Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage.
So I just enjoyed the regional motif. How long ago. I think it
was like a twenty twenty three, twenty twenty two show, but canceled.

(49:06):
Uh. My daughter had a soccergame and we won. Nice. There
was a sideline meltdown. Fine, the flagman, the off side guy.
Yeah, the flagman, not juniorgongs flag man that just waves the red,
golden green flag, but you know, the offside you know. He
uh, I guess he said somethingto one of our Our two coaches are

(49:30):
are female. He said something toone of our coaches. And then they
started chirping, and there was alot of chirping, kind of like the
view and then like the guy waslike, fun, you do it,
and he started like kind of smackingone of our coaches with the flag like
on her leg, like here, take the flag, take the flag.
I'm out of here. And thenhe just dropped the flag and walked away.

(49:52):
Wow. Yeah, it was veryIt was very So who do you
think was in the wrong? Didyour coach get a little lippy? Oh
no, no, okay, theguy smacking the lady in the leg with
a flag. What do we doit? What are we doing? What
are we doing? That's a salt. Hey, that's a salt, bro
You're gonna get a sued dude.That's a salt. That's a salt.
That's a salt, dude. God, I hate that. That's a salt

(50:14):
guy. I really hate that guy. You just assaulted me by touching my
phone. That's a salt, andI've got it on tape. That's a
salt. I just click their nose. That's a salt. That is a
salt. That's a salt. Idid. There was a union guy development,
which is there? Well he wasn't. I mean, I went to

(50:35):
yoga Keffe Yoga, my sister's placeon Crenshaw, and I have not seen
the union guy there in years, but I was. I was at Mike
Lennox's house at Sampedro, and Istarted getting calls from my my Cumbado,
Jimmy evangeliis the union guy was athis house. The call was coming from
inside the room. Why was unionguy at Evangelida's house, No clue.

(50:59):
But here's the union guy playing thepiano on Jimmy's piano and taking pictures with
Jimmy, and they're trying to getme to go over there. And I
was in San Pedro, so butyeah, the union guy was there.
It was like five minutes away, not coming up there. Five minutes away
from my house. But I wasin San Pedro, which is like twenty
five minutes for my house. SoI uh, but it was interesting the

(51:21):
Union guy and you never got tothe bottom as to why he was there.
No, the Union guy was atCali, my daughter's godfather's house.
Stops stalking me. Ronnie just saidit. He's like the cable guy.
Dude, he just shows up.Oh good, call running and Jimmy Vangelia
sends me a picture of him andthe Union guy, and I'm like,
you need to be here, Yeah, be careful of Petro's. He's gonna

(51:43):
show up at your house wanting toplay a game with your whole family,
right, like battleship, Like wegot to get Maybe look at this Petros.
It's a small world. Call me. I'm here with Ryan van Tyle
and I was like okay, andhe said a video video proof. He
sent video of Ryan playing a piano, because he can play the piano.

(52:06):
I think Ryan sent me a videoover Ryan playing a piano. Okay.
Interesting. So yeah, if youwant to piece that one, well,
that certainly changes how was your weekendmoving forward? I mean, you could
be at any event on the illand I got to ask if Union guy
was there. Now, it's notjust the yogas. It's a great great
way to get me to retire fromthis segment. Yeah, that's that's both

(52:27):
of them looking like they're having agood time. Yeah, it looks like
like a Donald Sterling white party,I think. Yeah, a fig leaves
on their heads like it's some sortof Greek competition. Looks like that,
right, got a Grecian Yeah, the revel read party odd again. I

(52:47):
was not anywhere where the Union guywas there, but they were after me.
You were in the same orbit.Well, you know, Matt,
that could be said for a lotof things. You live at the beach
cities. Uh, we'll be rightback with a word number song of the
day. Speaking of fumadorus, somebodysmoked a pol I guess they're smoking More
