Petrosin Money, Trosin Money, Rosin Money Ros.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
I don't crack, ease the under.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Pressure, puss, Puss, Puss, you crank.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
We don't care about nobody except as you. For shame man, wow, man,
freaked out. Mediocrity is like a spot on a shirt.
It never comes off.

Speaker 4 (00:51):
Go on, get ad Vig, Petrosen Money AM five seventy
LA Sports Live everywhere on the iHeart Radio app. A
Dodger trade deadline day, be sure to stick around bottom
of the hour Dodgers on Deck all the details on
the players acquired, who was sent out, Conversations with some
new dudes that were acquired yesterday that rolled into town
in first pitch at six point forty from the Galpin

(01:12):
Motors Broadcast booth. A great day for Dodger fans. Big
moves made, so you're gonna want to tune in bottom
of the hour to Tim Katson Company for Dodgers on
Deck in all of that reaction after the day off yesterday,
in this short two game series down in San Diego,
the padres making a bunch of moves themselves, so be
sure to not move an inch. Dodgers on Deck coming

(01:35):
up after this big meaty meat segment.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Stay glued to the radio and make sure you have
the app so you can listen to the petros In
Money Show whenever you want, podcast the show, relive the show,
stream the show live. There's even a talkback feature on
the app, the Cleatorus of Response if you want to
get involved with that. We have not in many years,

(01:58):
but it's written there so there you. Oh and we
also have a big event coming up on Friday. The
four stop of the twenty twenty four Petrosen Monday Summer
Tour is this Friday. But we've moved locations. We're no
longer going camping, although we're going to try to retain
a camping theme. We're going back to Brewery X in Anaheim,
where we're wanted and where they can accommodate our crowd

(02:21):
of listeners and it's gonna be a great show even
with the DJ. And it looks like we're fully divorced
from the Crackhead Steel drum Band, which is sad.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
It is our camp Our camp site was raised and
we were moved and.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
That got pushed aside.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
It can't even get a steel drum band to give
us a theme, So we're creating our own campfire campsite
theme at Brewery X.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
We don't even.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Bring back the camp site music, you know, I mean,
why not tomorrow in the next few days, just because
we're going to have a camping theme with our with
our Scout tanks.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
Tanks for that's right, Thanks for Nut and Danny. We
started too though, so remember to get there early as
we go two to five thirty on a flex alert
Dodgers up in Oakland, taken on the a's. We got
prizes at least a couple that have raised their hand.
A fifty inch Westinghouse HDTV Dodger tickets Terrence Crawford fight

(03:21):
at Bemo Stadium. That's a big deal. People excited about that.
One tickets for that and a two night State an
MGM resort is what we have thus far.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
And now it's time for the final our fun fast.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
It's fun effect, it's the yeah we're three fun fact.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
We would both fail this test miserably. What a sailor
in the British Royal Navy may only grow a beard
if they can achieve a quote, respectably full enough beard
after two weeks of growth out out?

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Would he would be clean shaven? Men, I'd have to
hide and be like, oh no, no, it was real
full after two weeks. The three months that I was
gone at Chateau, the three months I spent in Chateau
deef mean nothing.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
It was already I was not a wall I was
growing my beard two weeks.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Yeah, no way, man, I mean you gotta be no Sampris,
you gotta I mean, geez, like no chance, King Leonidas.
What does a guy have to do to grow beard
around here?

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Jeez?

Speaker 2 (04:36):
All right, Matt, it's time for some quickets.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Come to MS quickets.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
I'll make it quick, y'all. Oh yeah, Matt. The trade
deadline came and went a total of sixteen teams acquiring
twenty nine relievers a lot of pictures move ten teams
acquiring fourteen st and the Dodgers then one of those teams,

(05:03):
Big one.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
They took until the very final two minutes prior to
the clock striking three pm Pacific. All deals had to
be completed by then, and at two p fifty eight
pm we got the news Dodgers acquired Jack Flaherty from
the Tigers and they acquire centerfielder Kevin Kiermeyer from the

(05:24):
Blue Jays. Flarerity having a great season. He has got
a heck of an era sub I think three once,
he got three, one five era, he's seven and four.
He has pitched into the seventh inning repeatedly this season,
So a huge kit for the Dodgers. We talked to
David Vasse a little bit earlier and his assessment of

(05:46):
Flarerity is, if Yamamoto's not fully healthy, you are totally
comfortable with him as your number two starter in the playoffs.
If Yamamoto is healthy, you have got a devastating top
three going into a postseason series with Glass now, Flair
already and Yamamoto.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
What a time to be alive and be a Dodger fan.
And they got killed Kimo, Yeah, you can enjoy that
as well. David Veasse very very happy about that the Dodgers.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
You can do the Padres part for our friend Daniel Jeremiah,
because they did a lot of work too.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
The Padres did give up a lot in return, but
they added Marlin's left hander Tanner Scott. Did I get
that right? That's it sending three of their top six
prospects and four overall to the Marlins. The Orioles acquired
Marlin starter Trevor Rodgers. Mister Rogers goes there in exchange

(06:42):
for two top prospects in all fifteen traits today a MLB,
but none involving the Dodgers. The Padres, who take on
the Dodgers tonight, if the Dodgers didn't make that last move,
were seen as really going all in to where the
Dodgers didn't. I don't really know if flarity for the

(07:02):
Dodgers means they're all in two, but that did take
some I would say it took some wind out of
Daniel Jeremiah's sales.

Speaker 4 (07:10):
Well, I think Kate's are you know on our text
thread now? Either it was posturing to try to get
Daniel to to kind of huddle around our campfire on
Friday by saying, yeah, you know, you guys are making
all the moves.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
We're not making any here.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
You guys look great. Oh, you guys are real quicker
out there.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
Little premature, little premature sploogie'es there from Gates.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
Tired to the flarity acquisition.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
On the road with the Dodgers is promptly by valvele
and instant oil.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
Change with that one.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Before you hit the road, be sure to stop, buy
your nearest valveling instant oil change hold of the fifteen
minute oil change. We talked about the angels and the
sadness of the angels.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
That's so sad.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Trout and Rendon and the sadness training camps continue today
all over the NFL Hall of Fame. Running back Terrell
Davis is free to fly Ununited Air again after a
travel band was lifted today.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
Yeah, that was a MSP.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
Apparently there was a flight attendant that said he yelled
at her and he pushed her and he grabbed her
by the arm. He pushed me, handcuffed, dragged off the
plane by the police. He was issued a travel ban.
Terrell Davis then sued United. He had said, there's witnesses.

(08:33):
All I did was tap her on the arm and
asked her for some ice and she overreacted, so United
has lifted the travel ban. The flight attendant is no
longer employed, and I'm guessing TD probably gonna fly United
for free and in first class for the rest of
his life.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
If yeah, I guess if they're lucky.

Speaker 4 (08:56):
Exactly, if that's all, If it's the Cramer like, hey,
I just got free coffee life settlement. If that's the settlement,
then they probably get off easy.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
USA women's gymnastics won gold in the team final and
dominant fashion, nearly six points clear of second place Italy.
Victor Brick named all the girls on the show before US,
except except for the White one and the USA women's
rugby seven's, like we mentioned earlier, captured bronze beating Australia's

(09:26):
time expired, just like the Dodgers trade. It's team USA's
first rugby medal since nineteen twenty four. Canada men's basketball
improved it two and zero, beating Australia ninety three to
eighty three, Luke Longley with a double double, but that
wasn't enough. Rockey France's men basketball needed overtime to avoid

(09:48):
upset by Japan, which is unbelievable.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
Well, you know, when you've got Wembin Yama who's like
seven to seven, it's very hard.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
I'd bean mad.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
The team like Japan. You've seen the photo that.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
See the photos. My god, it looked like Gulliver's Travels.
For God's said.

Speaker 5 (10:05):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
The USA men's volleyball outlasted Headman Knee in five sets
in pool play. Buttinger went down though to some freaking duchies.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
Well, listen to duchies on the left hand side. They
just they kept passing it.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
How does it feel when you got no food? The
men's triathlon at the Paris Olympics has been postponed to
Wednesday because the sin is filled, the sand is filled
with poop, her womb, it's soup, and Matt, we got
a counter which is constantly changing. But our Olympic count
in this moment is USA leads away with twenty six

(10:39):
four gold, eleven silver and eleven bronze. France has a chance,
France a little bit of a chance, and China is
in the diner with fourteen.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
And Matt, you got the dead guy Birke there the day,
Oh p a tough one today for your dead guy.
We just lost him a month ago. A couple months ago.
Sanborn Hitedkates, would have been seven today. Born in Tampa.
Little smooth jazz, Matt, I mean, come on, let's do it.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
Well, you know what, let me go stare at my
fish tanks. I think about the weight.

Speaker 4 (11:08):
That's right, A little fusion, a little smooth jazz, but
a hell of a bio. Army Bratt moved around a lot,
pretty much grew up even though he was born in Tampa.
In Saint Louis, how about this. Sanborn polio at the
age of three, had a miserable childhood. Sanborn was in

(11:30):
an iron lung.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
For a year.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
And the polio left him with impaired respiration polio. While confined,
he said it was Fats Dominoes, ain't that a shame?
And little Richard's tooty fruity that spoke to him, Oh, Rudy.
He loved the sound of the sacks. At the age
of eleven, he stopped his piano lessons when doctors recommended

(11:57):
he take up a wind instrument to improve his breathing
and strengthen.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
His chest muscles. We got Sanborne because of polio.

Speaker 4 (12:07):
It's all he did. Totally consumed by the sacks. At fourteen,
he was being recruited to play with the Saint Louis
blues musicians and the local clubs, especially Hank Crawford of
Ray Charles Band. He was an early and lasting influence.
So Sanborn is fourteen in nineteen sixty seven when Albert

(12:28):
King and Little Milton say, hey, we want you to
come to San Francisco with us, so he hops on
a Greyhound bus.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
Sanborne is respected, unlike that fraud Kenny G.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
Yes, exactly right.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
I might have turned he might have turned into his
heroin jazz card or whatever for some smooth jazz, but
he's no punk like Kenn G. Sanborn Sorry, I'm sorry
for sad. I just wanted to know that's fair.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
Fair. You know a lot of people hear it and
they think, well, it's like Kenny G. No, it's not.

Speaker 4 (12:59):
Sky was in San Francisco for the Summer of Love
and while there sits in on a session with the
Paul Butterfield Blues Band. They lose their ass and they're like, hey,
you're our new sax player. On the spot at fourteen,
and he tours with them for the next five years,
including on stage performing at Woodstock. Sanborn has Chops Chops

(13:25):
seventy two, Stevie Tapsham to play Tuesday Heartbreak for Talking
Book seventy five, David Bowie, Young Americans, Sanborn on the Sacks,
James Taylor, How Sweet it Is? Sanborn, James Brown, Brian Ferry, Clapton,
Cat Stevens, Dultry, Paul Simon, Login Springsteen, Elton, John Linda Ronstadt,

(13:50):
Carly Simon, The Grateful Dead, The.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Stones, Sanborn and Ween Sandborne.

Speaker 4 (13:59):
He was in the Saturday Night Live band for about
two years. He was a regular for Paul schaeffer On Letterman,
did a show in eighty eight and eighty nine, two
years with Jules Holland, and for two decades had a
syndicated jazz radio show, Sanborne Sessions. Sanborne married four times,
one son, six Grammys, eight gold, one platinum record and

(14:19):
sadly prostate cancer got him on May twenty fourth.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
We miss you Sanborn.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
My college roommate, one of them, right fielder at USC,
Brad Ticehurst. Father took us to see Sanborn when we
were in college at the Wiltern.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
Speak to you.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
I mean it wasn't like seeing Pharaoh Sanders at the Catalina.
I guess different. But it was impressive to see Sandborne
up there making that smooth.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
Jazz, right, and he is smooth.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
Brad's dad, God rest his soul was excited. So hey,
he spake. He spoke to people. Matt beating out. Here's
some who speaks to people beating out. Hope solo and
Jamie Presley. Is Delta Burke, Yes.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Oh, it's an annual for you if you.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Have round and ready. Sixty eight years old from Orlando,
single mom who remarried. So Delta Burke went to Colonial
High School, home of the Grenadiers. She did some pageants
and shot all the way up to the highest perch

(15:31):
on America's penis Miss Florida. Then did some TV.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
That's a big one.

Speaker 4 (15:37):
By the way, you're not, you know, white, nothing against
Miss Wyoming.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
No, not a lot of people.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
Yeah, you know, I mean Florida is some steep competition.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
Miss Zodak has one arm.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
That's all we can find.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
Then some TV nineteen seventy four is Boso the Clown
of course, CBS Western the Chisholms. She got into that
CBS family. In nineteen eighty six, she was cast as
Suzanne sugar Baker in Designing women interior design firm of
for women in Atlanta, Matt. After a year, it wasn't

(16:14):
doing that well. It was partially canceled, but it was
then paired with Murphy Brown and it came up.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
I'll talk about a power Hour.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
And Burke was the breakout Estraea make no mistake, but
her weight, Matt, her weight. Yeah, it was a discussion
in the tabloid press. She even forced them to do
an episode where they make fun of her weight, where
she goes back to the high school reunion and they
make fun of her weight. And I pulled a clip

(16:46):
of a local station in Georgia talking about it, and
I think you're going to find it pretty interesting. You
know how things were back in the nineties as opposed
to how they are today. Couldn't have a fat shack
on TV, tabloids all over.

Speaker 5 (17:03):
And what happens at the end is that she gets
the award for the most changed, and they gave it
to her because she's overweight.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
But that isn't the biggest change in me.

Speaker 5 (17:13):
The biggest change is if the all of Suzanne want
to have shown up here tonight, she would have just.

Speaker 6 (17:17):
Gotten Finn before the next reunion. Then she would have
gotten even.

Speaker 5 (17:22):
And everybody in the audience stayed until midnight, and it
was a very nice night. They gave her a standing ovation,
and you know, there were a few tears. She cried,
and some people on the cast and crew cried because
they knew this was a very personal thing for her
to do, and it was a very vulnerable thing to do,
and I admire her courage in doing it.

Speaker 6 (17:43):
The whole experience helped out to gain back some of
the self respect she had lost in the past few months.

Speaker 5 (17:48):
Well, Delta was depressed, because who wouldn't be depressed. You know,
you go through the supermarket checkout stand and you see
yourself depicted as this big, fat, undesirable person whose husband
has paid. That was certainly depressed me.

Speaker 6 (18:02):
And then there's Delph's husband, Gerald McGraney, Jos Major Dad.
The tabloids quote him is saying she's too fat for me.

Speaker 5 (18:10):
I think matth cares. You mentioned leading, but she weighs.
I don't think man cares at all. I think she's
probably the first man that Delton has overhead in her life,
you know, who truly doesn't judge her on her appearance.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
A right.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
Happy ending.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
Then she's too fat for me. That was incredible.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
Uh, she did what women want with mel some Broadway
Boston Legal, like our colleague Rodney Pete Hallmark Channel. Uh,
married to the guy from Major Dad. Still even though
she was too fat for me. They have a house
and tell your ride and the five oh four in
New Orleans and here in LA. And she owns an
antique shop in Mississippi.

Speaker 3 (18:52):
Oh, let's go.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
It's like the Red House. And she was once a
hoarder with twenty seven storage units. She blamed her mother
for that. Delta Burke ladies and gentlemen, one of the
great women of all time. And you know Shakey's is
a great pizza parlor of all time. They got the
chicken and mojos. You go to Shakys dot com and

(19:14):
that chicken and mojos could arrive at your house a
little early today. Because the padres don't want to really
play at night. They don't feel like they're a real
franchise jerks.

Speaker 4 (19:23):
They make moves and again if you missed it, Dodgers,
Kevin Kiermeier, Jack Flaherty. They get some impact players right
at the deadline, right as the freaking buzzer sounds. They
sneak it in and they made their big acquisitions. So
be sure to check out Dodgers on Deck coming up
next to have all the details on all the moves
were made, particularly with these two teams, the Padres and

(19:43):
the Dodgers.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
You worry about Flarity, I'm thinking about Delta burn.
