Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome three hours a great sports dot to the Petros
and Money Show on air at AM five seventy LA
Sports with the ability to really go anywhere and do anything,
streaming everywhere with the iHeartRadio app hosted by Mad Money Smith.
Check out the fit and Petros Papadakas. That's what we
like to hear here they are on your home of
(00:23):
the LA Dodgers in sink and down the grain, petrosin money, drosin.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Money, ros in money Ros all of men's miseries, of
all of them, the bitterest is this to know so
much and to have control over nothing.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
Fund a bit, Petros some money five s LA Sports
Live Special location, Rub and Tubb Papadacres Compound. After things
went sideways at the Charger facility, the bolt firewalls would
not allow iHeartMedia to penetrate their fortress of technology. Thus
(01:03):
a scrambled drill ensued Petro's kind enough to open his
home to me. And we are broadcasting some one hundred
to one hundred and fifty feet away from each other,
so we don't bleed into each other's microphone.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Just think of me doing it as an echo. Think
of me taking a sipathy. This is what it was.
A lake at my house. It's taking a sip of tea,
listening to some Wagner and Matt drove almost through my
garage in a Bosa Miata with a surfboard sticking out
of the bat He looked like the guy an outrun
with a chick sitting next to him, just blowing into
(01:36):
my house. But we figured it out. We're on air.
I've been asked the question if Matt is spread across
the bed in the guest room, and the answer is no,
I don't think so. I am not.
Speaker 4 (01:47):
I am set up.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
The rig which allows me to get on the air
remotely is on a nightstand. I am in a very
comfortable chair next to the nightstand.
Speaker 4 (01:59):
Callie is looking at me right now.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
Oh is she there? What's going Wait? Just put her
face on a window. Oh okay, she's rolling out and
she's got like a bag of chips, and I'm and
I'm waving at her right now. I'm over here, Kelly,
Oh there we go. Now she saw me. She's waving
at me. She actually raised her your like arms and
like victory, like yes, yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
So very exciting here for the family. Not a lot
happens around here. Just a couple of whiskeys late at
night and kiss your pop. We're going to Dodger Baseball.
It's a flex alert. We started it to We're already
an hour in. We talked to David Vasse.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
He had Jack Flaherty set up to be part of
Dodgers on Deck, so you're gonna want to tune into that.
At four thirty, first pitch, five forty gallupin Motors broadcast booth,
trying to get the split and avoid the sweep after
last night's bullpen blew it or on that this hour
a bullpen blew it. Joel Tani was upset. No Smith
(02:55):
had bad pitch sequencing. No, all of those things have
already been discussed.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
All right, it is time for the word of the day.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
His words, the word of the day.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
Today's word of the day is la you belong to me?
Now up. We do a lot of talking about how
things used to be on this show, because almost everything
used to be better except for porn. Porn now is unbelievable,
(03:34):
but everything else used to be better. And Matt a
time has gone by, we all know, except for Kates
because he never left Burbank. Fred Siegel, the clothing store
of all clothing stores in La. If you had a
T shirt from fred Siegel that back thirty years ago
(03:58):
cost sixty bucks, just like a show Tony T shirt
at Dodger Stadium.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Now I'll take that terry cloth fred Segel polo please.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Yeah, except that had a hole in it.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
Yeah, super cool.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
It used to be a great place for fashion Matt
fred Siegel. There was at once nine fred Siegels Japan, Switzerland.
But for those of us here in La Santa Monica
and Melrose.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Right, Belrose, great cafe and good people watching, a lot
of celebrities.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Great cafe started in nineteen sixty one. Fred Siegel started
that one. You could overpay for almost anything.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
Then, oh could you comb sandwich? Come on ten bucks?
Speaker 2 (04:43):
And almost like Dodger Stadium, you overpaid happily at fred Siegel.
And I remember seeing one of our supposed to he
was supposed to be the next Charlie Ward, big quarterback
at a sh Cogo area recruit named Quincy Woods at
USC and I remember him walking around with these pants
(05:06):
on that had a big tiger on him, and I
knew where he got him. I said, you got those
at freend Siegel and Ron Herman in Frince Siegal and
he said, only you know, Pe.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
Those were seven hundred dollars.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
They've all closed, Matt, it's all over. The last two
stores closed today this week, Malibu and West Hollywood, which
is the Melrose one. I didn't know they had one
in Malibu, but I guess there's one in Malibu now
that the problem was frend Siegel didn't really sell anything.
(05:43):
They had some stuff, but it were much more of
an outside retailer, you know what I mean, like a
department store of faces or whatever.
Speaker 5 (05:51):
Right, but a superfusion one, right, and a cool one
and a cucumber sandwich for fifteen bucks thirty years ago, from.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
The Valley to Hollywood.
Speaker 6 (06:04):
Matt.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
Uh, the guy that bought it in twenty nineteen still
wants to develop the brand and bring some of the
stores back. But Fred Siegel's dead for all Uh, Well,
he is dead, and then the brand is also dead
for for all purposes. I guess. My ex girlfriend used
to work at the one in Santa Monica, and I
used to drop her off all the way from RPV.
(06:28):
And then you know what I did, Matt, I hit
the Santa Monica Arby's.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
Oh, I was thinking you hit the third Street promenade
in Chillers.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Well there wasn't Chillers. Actually, who was the other bar there?
Gotham No, yeah, the Gotham, the Pool Barratts. No, there was.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
One that was theres there too.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
There was yeah, Yankee Doodles there. There was one that
was like Sea breezes us Ripples. No, that's a gay bar.
Speaker 4 (07:02):
Is the one that had the balcony upstairs? Crap.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
I don't remember what the name of that was, but
I know exactly which one you're talking about.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Fred Siegel died at eighty seven in twenty twenty one,
So goodbye for now to Los Angeles sixty three year
old brand Fred Siegel. Nothing quite like, you know, strolling
with your girlfriend through fred Siegel on a Saturday and
spending two hundred and fifty dollars on a T shirt
and a pair of pants and a cucumber sandwich and
(07:32):
a Pellegrino to Icewaters and hoping that maybe she'd touch
you when you get back home.
Speaker 4 (07:37):
And she didn't.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
She did, right, she did?
Speaker 3 (07:45):
Okay, the number the number of the.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
Day, pour out pellagrino, pour outs of Pellegrino like they
did for Copec.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
Exactly number the days ten well, another LA institution.
Speaker 4 (07:59):
But this is some good news.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
What a day.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
Never in all my years did I anticipate something this
out of left field when it comes to fast food.
Actually it's quick serve, my man, all right, it's quick serf.
Speaker 4 (08:15):
It's not fast food. It's quick serf.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
Don't call it that.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
They're sponsors the USA Today National Reader's Poll. We do
it every year, favorite fast food restaurants across the land,
released earlier today.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
We got the top ten.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
Couple of them a little bit more regional then you'd like,
including some of the ones at the top that are
regional for us, but I'll skip the ones that are
not located here.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
What do we got? So ten fast food in the world.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
Top ten fast food in America in America, the USA
Today National Poll, twenty thousand plus respondents. Here's what we got.
And for like the last five years, Chick fil A
has dominated. They have been number one year in and
year out. I only have a small problem with that
because I love the food. I like the original Chick
fil A, I like the grilled I like the Chris cut.
(09:08):
If you want to maybe cut some calories. You go broccoli,
eat carrot salad or fruit salad instead of the chriscut fries.
It's just if I'm hungry on Sundays and that's my
favorite spot and I can't go there.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
It's hard for me to put at number one on Sunday.
Speaker 3 (09:21):
On Sunday, it's like, you gotta be open till at
least midnight, maybe one am, and I gotta go seven
days a week. I got no problem putting you number two.
But that's where it's gonna not anyway. But the number one.
They've been at number one forever. This year they got
knocked off.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
Oh wow, to you here after.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
If you're bitching and wining about.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
Sundays, this is like a Buster Douglas Mike Tyson knockout
punch ten.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
You mentioned it. Pe used to do it in Santa Monica.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
Arby's. Why don't markets a punch on one on Lincoln
is long gone, by the way.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
Sadly, I do like their horsey sauce again. I said
I'll skip the ones that aren't so. Nine was another
East past Or Southern thing, and the Zaxby something like that.
Number eight pop Sax is the uh sex.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
Why can't I remember the name of the quarterback? JT
oh JT. Daniels. That's a JT. Daniels.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
Yes. Number eight Popeyes, which had not been in the
top ten forever until the Chicken Sandwich Wars, and now
they regularly find themselves in the seven to ten range.
Number seven Taco Bell. I'm crazy about the food. The
Taco bell is typically open the latest, and I'm fine
with that. So put them at number seven, uh six,
and five I think it was, I don't know it was.
(10:37):
It was something I had never heard of. It was
like Skinny De's or something like that. And and Hardy's
was the other one, number four, right, which, yeah, Hardy's
is essentially Carl Junior.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
So number four was in and out.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
Tip of the Captain in and out for recognizing the
drive through took way too long. So they put them
people out there with the iPads and the weird flip
yards on their chest so you can order off their chest.
Still it's female, it's well endowed. You feel kind of weird.
And I'll stare and right at her chest and.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
It's kind of like it's a sandwich board.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
It's just like, yeah, I just you know, you got
it right there. And I know they're kind of coming
at me, but I got to figure out what I
want in and out.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
I still marvel at how long the line is and
in and out and why people and all the time,
and why people but already managed to make it.
Speaker 3 (11:27):
It's when when it dips into the street. That's when
I'm like, okay, now not doing that.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
It's moved faster than it used to.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
I'll give them that Chick fil A slip to three now,
I'll be honest. Number two makes me question about the
validity of this list. But they say, you know, people
like Chicken Chicken is Chicken is it? And fast food
burgers it out? KFC number two, right, really still have
(11:57):
over twenty five thousand locations. It has been at the
bottom of this list or off this list.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
I get it, Kate's I hear you. I mean KFC
ahead of Chick fil A. I don't care. Chick fil
A is only open one day a week, for sure.
Speaker 4 (12:15):
Give it to me. Give me the drum roll, Kates,
give me the tip.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
Number one.
Speaker 3 (12:20):
Huh number one? Oh, I know I'm going to read
the description underneath the photo of the of the of
the number one fast food. Per the reader's pole verbatim,
this popular taco stop serves all kinds of satisfying Mexican
(12:40):
fair including burritos, kasidias, and nachos, well also offering burgers
and fries. In addition, Tell Taco as a dedicated breakfast
menu as well as a vegan and Veggie Carey menu.
Speaker 4 (12:57):
Number one p Dell freaking taco.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
Yeah. This is like the year that Grease won the Euros,
right exactly, Like this is just this is Hoosiers. You know,
this is Hickory beating the South Bend team in the
butler of what you've been in there in the Indiana
Higel Fieldhouse. That's right. This this is that moment for
fast food excuse me, quick serve restaurants. This is a
(13:26):
historical You're never gonna see this again.
Speaker 4 (13:28):
Never again.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
I was.
Speaker 3 (13:29):
I could not believe it. I thought it was a joke.
I thought it was the onion or something. It was
going to be like Taco place that serves hamburgers wins
number one fast Food Like haha, real funny.
Speaker 4 (13:40):
Yeah, that burger's good and so are those fries.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
Now do you think that Johnny Dell or whoever paid
off these people. Yeah, I mean, do you think they've
paid off these people at one time? Only? Like unbelievable
Meyer Lansky like bribery. I mean, I don't know. This
is an amazing listen.
Speaker 4 (14:01):
It's gonna cost us tens of thousands of dollars. But
we only have to win this once.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
That's it.
Speaker 3 (14:05):
Once we win it once, everybody's gonna try to check
us out and say, wow, number one, we gotta try
this Del Taco. What is Del Taco.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
It's basically like one of like it's like the Greek
diner without the you know, they got burgers, and they
got Mexican food, and they got all kinds of breakfast stuff.
That's every place owned by a Greek, including the place
in Allsian Heights and everywhere else ricks that that I mean,
(14:32):
like Fantastic Cafe and San Pedro, some Greek islet's it.
They serve breakfast, they serve Mexican food, and they serve burgers,
and they serve udos. If Deltaco serve you knows, they
might be able to hold on to number one.
Speaker 7 (14:45):
Yes, Tim is affordability part of this mat because they
don't have the dollar menu anymore, but they got the
under two dollar menu now, which is really big and
very popular.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
That Tim Kates has been seen by drones parked backwards
in a Del Taco dry through after closing, even though
it's opened very late.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
Del Taco is you hit it on the head. Pet
Del Taco is always open late. And one two Kates,
you hit it on the head as well. They got
a great value menu and they're always pumping out coupons
in the circular, So if you're willing to cut a
coupon or two, you can get yourself. Buy one fish taco,
get a second one free. Most importantly, it's the best food.
(15:26):
Those fish tacos are great. The regular the bean burritos,
the regular red or the regular green burritos are great.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
And you know when you see the long ass line, Matt,
You see the long line and in and out you
got a car full of picky people, and you see
the Del Taco Laalina is not as long. I mean
you can swoop in there and satisfy people's hunger and
different varieties of food.
Speaker 4 (15:52):
Oh yeah, that's what you mean.
Speaker 7 (15:53):
I was surprised I did not hear Jack in the
Box on this list, which is also a late night
drunk destined rug.
Speaker 3 (16:03):
I'll eat that sour dough. Jack is sober as a
freaking nun.
Speaker 8 (16:05):
I mean, how was Jack in the Box not on
this list?
Speaker 2 (16:08):
Sing the ultimate cheeseburger song.
Speaker 8 (16:10):
Please do not sing.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
Don't make me sing.
Speaker 4 (16:14):
No, don't do it, Pete, don't do it.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
I don't want to.
Speaker 4 (16:16):
Don't do it. Nobody wants it.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Girl. You know there is one thing that I love,
but it's not you I'm thinking of. I want the.
Speaker 6 (16:27):
Ultimate cheeseburger, cheese meat, cheese, cheese meat, and that's it.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
Baby.
Speaker 6 (16:33):
You know it's hot and juicy, because that won't make
it till you wanter in. When I say meat, you
say cheese meat.
Speaker 4 (16:47):
Surprise, deserve this all right.
Speaker 3 (16:49):
Del Taco was on the indie film circuit for a
long time, critically acclaimed hot in the underground, But finally
the mainstream is caught up to what we've all known forever,
and that is that it is the finest quick serve
joint anywhere on earth.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
To see Skinny D's get into the tontes.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
I don't remember what it was called. I don't think
it was Skinny D's, but it's something like that.
Speaker 2 (17:12):
We hear it's Skinny D's.
Speaker 4 (17:18):
I remember exactly what it was.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
We'll be back with more great sports talk. Top Story
of the Day. Flaherty's on with Essay on Marango Casino,
Dodgers on Deck. It's pop and everybody. Welcome back, Petros
and Money. Happy to be with you on this. We
just won't be defeated. Wednesday. A bit of a scramble
to get on the air, but we're here, live in
(17:42):
Palace Verni's Estates the Hill, the vendor Lips built. We
are your home of Shoeltania and the Dodgers. Tonight, Dodgers
backed Padres. You go back up on the hill, Dodgers
on deck at four point thirty. Back up on the
hill tonight. Clayton kershaw ha ha and they need him
(18:03):
and we need you to be at the fourth stop
of the twenty twenty four Petros Some Money Summer Tour.
We're coming back to Brew Reacts and we expect you
to be there because it starts at two o'clock on Friday,
and we got prizes to give away and you better
be there. All right, it's time for the Top Story
of the day. Top Story of the Day.
Speaker 3 (18:21):
Well, we discussed it with David Vesse earlier it's the
ones you shouldn't lose that really stick in your craw
And after flying out of the gates post All Star Break,
winning their first five before unexpectedly first of all starters
Tyler glasnow getting shelled by the Giants, only to rebound
and rebound the following day and get a win. So
(18:43):
the Dodger starts six and one and the fizzle to
finish the first half seemed like, Okay, that's behind them,
good vibes. Here we go, and now it feels like
they have vanished that somehow the way, it's not. It's
not the losses. Gavin Stone has a hiccup and drops
a contest five nothing to the Astros. Yeah, a little disconcerting.
(19:05):
He's given up at least four earned runs in three
of his last four, but yeah, whatever happens, the Astros
are good. They're tied for first place. And I wonder
if you ask a major league club if there are
different levels of losses and how you feel about him.
If you send a starter out there, gives up a
few quick ones, offense lets down, can't rally back. Before
you know it, it's eight to three against the Giants,
(19:26):
and you shrug it off. And you bounce back the
next day with a six to four wins whatever. But
when you're leading the Astros in Houston five nothing and
you got a rookie on the mound and Justin Rableski,
he's pitched his ass off, and all you're asking Evin
Phillips to do is go out there and get one out,
and Rableski gives you five and two thirds eighty two
pitches line out following a fielder's choice after back to
(19:47):
back singles, should have absolutely been left in to finish
it up. Instead, Roberts brings in Evan Phillips promptly melts
down before you know it, a five nothing lead with
two outs earned.
Speaker 4 (20:00):
Rabloski nothing nothing.
Speaker 3 (20:04):
As a matter of fact, Justin got two runs charged
to his ledger because Evan Phillips was so bad. And
it leaves you with a sick feeling in your stomach.
Robleski able to pile up seventeen outs without giving up
a run, and you can't manage to get one seventeenth
of that. Evan Phillips, you can't get me one. All
I'm asking for is one out?
Speaker 4 (20:22):
Can you get me? Yandy Diaz? Can you get that?
Speaker 2 (20:25):
No?
Speaker 3 (20:25):
It's an emphatic note, not only can you not get
that out, but completely melt down and force another pitching
change in the innie, Cavin Biggio tried to rescue the
team with a homer in the eighth, put them up
six to four. Little breathing room. Daniel Hotson swung them.
He did, swung it in Houston for his dad, Daddy,
did you see me swing the bat that disappears?
Speaker 4 (20:48):
Then?
Speaker 3 (20:48):
Of course Blake Tryna comes in the ninth and Bank
see you later walk off win Astros.
Speaker 2 (20:53):
It sucked.
Speaker 3 (20:54):
Dodgers should have won the series in Houston and said
they lose the series in Houston, get a day off
yesterday to reset for the bullpen, to rest and to
go up against the Padres, who made a ton of
moves at the deadline. And everybody's saying, Oh, Padre's coming man,
Paudrey's coming out. I got the best bullpen in baseball.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
Daniel Jeremiah very active on the text.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
Oh. I think he actually put a call into Tim Kates.
He was so excited.
Speaker 8 (21:15):
Talked to him this morning for about half an hour,
you know what.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
I mean, talked talking to baseball. He was so excited
about that one.
Speaker 8 (21:20):
I was in the sauna, hot sauna, just talking to DJ.
Speaker 4 (21:23):
It's great talking to hardball man.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
I got a text from Kate's and said, don't call me.
I'm gonna be in the sauna. But DJ calls and
he picks it up and starts greasing his hot boots.
Not cool, and Kate's had to wear it. DJ just
wanted to talk to him at how great they are. Why'd
you pick it up?
Speaker 8 (21:39):
See you think Blake Try is gonna be able to
rebound after that last night?
Speaker 3 (21:42):
Tim, Yeah, that's that's what DJ likes.
Speaker 2 (21:45):
They do.
Speaker 3 (21:46):
Glass now battles for seven innings, gets it's a five
to nothing lead, gives up a single home run. Manny
Machado played his ass off yesterday. A couple runs in
the third gives the bullpen to break. He goes all
the way through IV in full. This is fantastic.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
All you need is six outs with a two run lead.
Things were looking great.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
Oh felt so good. Everybody talking about all the capital
the Padres gave up to get their bullpen guys compared
to the capitol that the Dodgers didn't have to part with,
and they still got Jack Flaherty, Kolepeck, and Edmund and
Kierman and Rosario, all these dudes.
Speaker 4 (22:25):
Yeah, now it's on display.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
What why you give up all those prospects for bullpen guys,
because we saw what it looks like last night And
it's a real gut punch.
Speaker 9 (22:34):
Swung on and a hammer the best one's way out.
That's gonna make these second deck. And it's five to
four as Machado is hit his second.
Speaker 8 (22:45):
Home run of the night.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
Amen, there it went. He was out there putting on
a show.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
Oh the foul ball he caught right up against the net.
The two home runs. It was Manny Machado night, her
foul ballycot Us played his ass off, barking and yelling
and pumping his fist and jumping around that place. Felt
like it was electric. I could feel it through the TV.
Jessica Mendoza, Joe Davis on a call, felt it. Anthony
(23:17):
Bandon did great previous three and two thirds. All he
gave up was a single hit, struck out six walk
one had not allowed her run. By the way, this
is a guy who has thrown thirty three pitches in
one of his appearances and has thrown two and a
third in one of his appearances. He can go more
than one. Could have easily sent him back out there
(23:38):
for the ninth. Instead, Dave Roberts decided to go with
Blake Trining. Trying by the way, has been good, has
been filthy. As David Basse told us before that game Saturday,
I had a blown save in Kansas City, melted down,
blown saving Arizona, blown save Thursday in San Francisco. That's
it all year ten and two thirds. In the month
(23:58):
of July. He had given up but one earned run.
So yeah, send him out there. Prayers point to the sky.
First pitch, you just heard what it was. Second back
could not have been served up on a platter and
easier to hit.
Speaker 4 (24:09):
And then he gave up another one to cut.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
The l swings. He hits a drive and the game
is tied.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
Yeah, hey, he.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
Hit it to right well over the home run sixs.
Speaker 9 (24:22):
They've got out there, and Blake Tryning has allowed his
second home run this this inning, and the podres have
come all the way back to time.
Speaker 4 (24:33):
Should have felt like a message that should have been
a message.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
Sequence was wrong, Sequencing was bad, Trining was terrible.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
You can't send me a message when you have bad sequencing.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
Wow, I mean, we all it's all about sequencing. If
I'm gonna wear sequence, I don't want to wear blue sequence.
I want to wear the nice silver sequence that really
reflect the light, so I look like a walking disco ball.
Speaker 2 (24:58):
They must have something to do with the sandy ag.
I don't know, but that's say said. Clearly. He said sequencing.
Speaker 3 (25:04):
He had the wrong sequence on. Clearly whoever sold those
things on did a poor job. It could have been
a message up seven and a half, win the season series.
We got half of our starters out and come down here,
take on a dude that hadn't lost since like may
and see you later instead. And it's one of sixty two.
(25:27):
But games like that can feel better, games that stick,
And somehow, some way, Dave Roberts has got to figure
it out because it feels like far too often he
is pushing the wrong buttons, he is calling on the
wrong guys, and matchups not good, the sequins are terrible,
and it feels like it's just been sort of the
(25:49):
theme of this year. It's a big reason why they're
now what are they Kid's eleven and twelve? I think
in the month of July, Yes, eleven and thirteen it's
a mess. And as we said with Daver, throw Kopek
out there. Guy's completely rusted. It's got a ninety and
a half mile an hour fastball. Who cares. It's like
one thing. If these dudes are blue chips and superstars,
(26:13):
they're not. Late Trenon is not a star. Daniel Hudson
is not a star. Evan Phillips is not a star.
They're not that dude that comes out of the Mets open.
Speaker 2 (26:24):
He's not a star anymore either. He blew out his
knee in a World Baseball Classic celebration. Matt tables turn
and the Dodgers have a lot of guys hurt. There's
a lot of guys out, Matt. Yeah, this message of
negativity is not helpful.
Speaker 4 (26:38):
Put Kopek out there tonight. Let me see that heat.
Speaker 3 (26:41):
Let me see what it looks like when you got
Velo without control, and whether or not we're sending him
to the carnival.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
I heard you got a whole lot of heat. I
want to see that heat. Meat.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
That's what I'm looking for tonight. Sick of them sending
out these old ass thirty six and thirty eight year
old guys that are blowing saves and soft chin Devin Phillips.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
I don't like the look that look you keep talking
about these guys, Matt. We're gonna wear it like the
Tennessee Titans broadcaster guy when you talk a lot on Twitter.
Speaker 3 (27:14):
No we do.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
I'm right here, No, I'm right here right now.
Speaker 4 (27:17):
I would love that there's a chair, it's empty.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
We can have this discussion, just respectful of this man here.
Speaker 3 (27:24):
Can you wait until I finished the interview with this
secondary member and then I will come back to you. Jeffrey,
thank you. Put Kopeck out there. I want to see
his thick beard. I want to see a six foot
five frame, and I want to see the heat meat.
That's what I want to see tonight.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
And Matt, if I know the rule, Dave Roberts should
know it right.
Speaker 3 (27:44):
Yeah, Okay, you can't go out there, dude one to
oh but he will be back, I say, said, do
we believe him? Maybe he was just trying to pull
a fast one thinking he could get away with it.
I don't, but I was like, what's he trying to
get away with?
Speaker 4 (28:03):
You? Send Blake Trenton out there.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
It's a freaking hot mess, flat and puss.
Speaker 2 (28:10):
That is one of the worst things back can say
about a picture that is his ULTI only thing I
have that is his ultimate accusation. That is the pointing
of the finger of this.
Speaker 3 (28:19):
On Instagram video. We'll be back with Mark Sports Tot
with Puss.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
We've got fun, Fat Quick, Hits Dead and a live
guy Birthday in the day is still the Cup. Don't
forget Flair and he's gonna be on Moroango Casino. Dodgers
on Deck with Vassa. Tim Kates takes over at four thirty.
Speaker 3 (28:41):
That's for somebody in five sports going to Dodger Baseball
five forty PM, trying to get to split in a series.
They're off tomorrow, so we got a four to seven
show and then remember we'd love to see you on Friday.
It is right off the ninety one at Glassal will
be there on a flex alert two to five thirty
set your calendar is giving away a fifty inch weesting
House TV and a whole bunch more and again at
two to five thirty show alert. Our early start as
(29:02):
the Dodgers playing the A's up in Oakland.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
All right, Matt, A couple of text osos to read
here and then maybe something else we'll see. But this
text says up.
Speaker 3 (29:14):
Fine and brought to you by your so called Toyota dealers.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
We make it easy. Why don't you guys do stickers
like Krock used to do a new one for every
summer tour. Maybe get some fans submitted designs. I don't
understand what part of we don't have any money. We
only make money. People don't understand we're not joking. We're
(29:38):
not just like every other every other show at the station.
Speaker 3 (29:41):
And I, or should say in the cluster, they have
like T shirts, they have posters, they have stickers. Oh,
Garry shows like nine hundred billboards around Tom.
Speaker 2 (29:49):
Yeah, we have to make our own hay and then
we have to turn that hay into horse crap.
Speaker 8 (29:56):
He also gone to a Little league team, has T
shirts still here from.
Speaker 2 (29:59):
Last year, still here. Wait till Gene Simmons finds out.
You guys do a show together from your house. This
might be the best text I've ever gotten. The Petros
and Money show a show about a show. This is
how we do our show. No content, just the struggles
(30:23):
to do a show.
Speaker 3 (30:24):
Except it's like the Larry Sanders Show.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
It's a show about a show.
Speaker 3 (30:31):
Wildly successful. Maybe we should really lean into that. The
entire show is just about the show.
Speaker 2 (30:36):
And a lot of people wanted me to tell everybody
that Del Taco, which is the number one fast food
restaurant in a certain pole that Matt read the other day,
not a poll smoker, but a pole. But I'll smoke it.
They used to be Noggles, Remember Noggles?
Speaker 3 (30:51):
Yeah, they tried to bring it back about two years ago.
Speaker 2 (30:55):
Del Taco bought Noggles and then the Noggles brand went
away and now I don't know if it'll ever come back.
Like Fred Siegel, Matt, Matt, are you excited? I got
some headlines?
Speaker 4 (31:09):
What should the headline be?
Speaker 2 (31:10):
Today?
Speaker 4 (31:10):
Sports? That's all we think about.
Speaker 8 (31:12):
Here's the other story nobody's talking about.
Speaker 2 (31:14):
You know, I'm not a racist. I mean, he's a
bad headline.
Speaker 8 (31:18):
What are the headlines?
Speaker 2 (31:20):
Uh? We want to know who is at the Olympics
as far as stars go, because a vic and his
star Effing. I have a gallery that I can go
through here and tell you you ready.
Speaker 4 (31:30):
Hey, what do we got? Let's go?
Speaker 2 (31:31):
What are the headlines? Arian A Grande and her brother
who pairs to be a gentleman with full beard and
like heavy makeup. Uh uh. Jason Kelsey, I saw him
and the wife.
Speaker 3 (31:48):
They seem like he was all decked out in like
USA shirt hats, So I'm done with that. He seemed
like he was super into it.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
Instagram Lsu gymnastics star and skiens girl Livy Dunn. Yeah,
Chrissy Tegan and John Legend.
Speaker 4 (32:07):
Are they a couple?
Speaker 2 (32:08):
They're together? Yeah, they're married and her Oh.
Speaker 3 (32:11):

We don't seemed very excited about these selabs. Matt Well.

Lache and was like sleeping around with John Legendick, I'm excited.
Speaker 2 (32:53):
Nicole Kidman, Okay, hey.
Speaker 4 (32:56):
I saw Dead Calm. You know how I feel about that.
Speaker 2 (32:58):
She was very very young Rebel Wilson.
Speaker 4 (33:03):
Well, you're excited about that.
Speaker 2 (33:06):
Have not she lost weight. I'm not excited about that.
You lost a lot of weight, like when they're not
fat anymore. Judd Aptou zach Efron still all musty No,
not as Musli right. And then now these are people
(33:28):
I don't know. I'm too old and I don't know
who these people are. I don't know who Xanna Roberts
Rossi is. Well anyway, those are the headlines, Matt Olympic
celebrities that Vic could star f and we'll be back.
We have fun fact quick hits done so a lot
(33:48):
of content coming from Palasberni's estates and in your way.
So thank you for listening, and we've got a whole
other half hour meat of Great Sports Dot coming on
a M five seventy l A Sports Your Home of
the Dodgers. Don't forget David Vassell has got Jack Flarity.

just did.
