Hit the freaking road and tell them large March Senta

by the dinosaurs. Back when Marongo was a bowling alley,
but now it's a resort and spa and a casino.
(02:13):
The marketplace is coming, The marketplace is coming. Come on
down to the marketplace and swing your pots.
Speaker 4 (02:18):

puff Daddy throwing out lube. Yeah, mats are running asylum
and we go down there.
Speaker 1 (02:39):

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Yeah, everybody gets an IV on the way out. Put
your phones in the basket please, and here's some penicillin.
It's not gonna be like that. But we do have
tickets Padres, Dodgers, Chargers, Chiefs, Big Games, two hundred and
fifty dollars, Morongo Casino gift card. Not to mention gas cards.
(03:01):
How does he know I have.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
Gained oh, gas cards and you want to talk about gas.
Nobody's got better gash than Marongo.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
These guys are good. So we are very much looking
forward to that. And we even if you're not from
like Beaumont or Cabazon or Hammet or Norco or whatever like,
we expect to see you. Even if you're not from
Redlands or Banning or Desert Hot Springs or Yuca Valley,
(03:32):
we still want to see you. Twenty nine palms. We
feel the beat of your desert heart. Twenty nine balls
pretty far out there, but.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
Still I understand that imparted my You know you've worked
with me long enough to know how easily distracted. I am,
I understand that TV has changed.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Yes, what's the problem, Matt?
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Can you put on ESPN News?
Speaker 4 (03:55):
No?
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Wait, hold on, well, first let's say we're hopeful that
I can find ESPN News.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
All right, help him out there, case old ond, I'm going.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
I do recognize that everyone's no longer in a studio.
We are no longer wearing suits, ties, coordinated pocket squares.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
I saw Dan Dakich interviewing Tony Dungee earlier today on
a website, and you can see straight up Dungee's nose,
like like you can see his brain.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
I'm watching Fantasy Focus on ESPN News, and you got
field Yates who went freaking all agro and blew his
shoulder up. So he's in a sling and the host
of the show is in a ratty T shirt. He's
got his hair and a man bun with strays all
(04:52):
over the place. When they go to the single, he's
got an unkempt.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
What is this keffy yoga?
Speaker 1 (05:00):
Basically he should be at a yoga studio, and I
gotta here.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
Let me see all that now. This guy's got his
arm on his chest. Yes, I haven't slept properly in
weeks in his shirts off tackling.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
Um.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Yeah, and his shirts all bunched up like uh like
Willie Lowman, okay. And they got this chick and then
they got this dude with this scraggly beard.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
He's got a scraggly beard, a crappy T shirt, hiking shoes,
hash or black jeans, and this is.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Just yeah, yeah, we're good with this.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
This is how we want to present it on TV.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
We've got to look at us guys adjusting his Apple watch. Yeah,
that is basically confined to a pillow against his belly.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
Yes, Like what are we doing? At some point? Can
we just make can we make it slightly presentable?
Speaker 2 (05:48):
I mean, I make television. Look at this guy lip ring.
This guy's got the ear gauges, right, ear gauges, And
is that is that his?
Speaker 1 (05:57):
I f B? And did he like color it? Partially?
Speaker 2 (06:00):
I think he's uh. I think he's literally going straight
to the weed store after this to cover the shift
of the What do they call those guys.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Uh, Barista weed easter.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
What do they call him? It's there's a word for
it's like a Yeah, he looks like a budd easta.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
So that's what you're gonna wear today.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
Yeah, I'm just gonna go with the black on my laptop.
I'm gonna get that out of here, just really on
my stickers and my marrels because I might go hiking now.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
I used to get a little loose with it on
the Challenge, Matt, but I never thought it would lead
to something like this. I mean, look, this is crazy.
This is crazy. I gotta say, Matt. Last week, I
was watching, uh, one of those shows and they're talking
about to a tongue of a lowos concussion and a
woman just piped in was like, I had a sea section.
(06:50):
I was like what. She was like, I'm black and
I've had a sea section. And I was like, what, what?
What happened? How did that happen? Like? So, I think
these shows, I mean, God, bless me. I take their money,
but I've worked on these shows in the past, and
you have to. But I think these shows have I
think they may have reached critical mass. It has when
(07:12):
you're talking about a guy who's had a bunch of
concussions and one of the women on the panel says,
I'm black and I've had a c section.
Speaker 4 (07:19):
Can't we all just get along?
Speaker 2 (07:24):
We can at the Red Matt is in North Carolina
edition right now. Matt left South Carolina PGT. Beauregard pushed
him out as ghosts and Matt.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
Well, I got out before the s hit the fan.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
I knew that the Civil War was about to begin,
and I said, I got to get the hell out
of here.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
So Matt got back to Charlotte, which is nothing ever
happens there, and he is there waiting for the Chargers
to leave town to play the Steelers on Sunday at
ten on ninety eight seven. So we had this idea
yesterday show and house.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
Were black people and white people buy furniture.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
And expanic people too, and expanded people too.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
And you heard about this right right, Vic, you heard
about this.
Speaker 5 (08:13):
I love the Red House spots and it's it's it's
quite exhilarating that Matt money Smith is within earshot.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
I'm not sure how many miles away.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
Our twenty minutes, Vick, one hour, twenty minutes, and I'm
happy to make the drive. Now is that I have
to get out to Greensboro, the furniture capital of America?
Speaker 2 (08:32):
Is that what it is?
Speaker 1 (08:33):
That is what it is.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
I did some digging and I wanted to figure out
what I was getting myself into. Yeah, turns out Greensboro
is the furniture capital of America.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
So you outskirts, you've done some efforting.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
All right, Well I've.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
Done significant efforting, fete, So discovered Greensboro is is such
and that high point North Carolina's on the outskirts of Greensboro,
which is where the Red House is.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
So you want to high point that football?
Speaker 1 (09:00):
That's for I guess you do.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
Quenton Johnson two touchdowns, Wait to go, Still gotta high
point the ball, dude.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
I reached out to the Red House.
Speaker 3 (09:10):
Your idea was, well, your idea was, I have to
go to the Red House take a Yeah, we kicked
around the idea of, you know, maybe doing an Instagram
live or something, and I said, eh, it's.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
An hour and a half. I'm gonna do that. Let's
do the show.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
Let me see if I can just ask him if
I can tap into their Wi Fi and do the
show from the Red House. So I reached out to
rich Ramos. Richard Ramos, our engineer there at iHeart, who
is the engineer for the Charger games, said you got
an extra headset because I got my road Road cast
mixing board with me. I'm gonna take a second headset
(09:45):
out there. That way, if we come across any celebrities.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
Like Big Head or ten Gauge.
Speaker 3 (09:50):
Exactly right, big Head or ten Gage, you're there, we're
gonna sit them down.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
We're gonna interview them.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
I've got some real effort at.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
So I got the I got the second headset. I
plotted my course. I know what time I need to
leave to get out there. Our show was from one
to two thirty. They closed at five thirty, which means
i'd be there four to five thirty. All as well,
I'm out at twenty five. We can close the doors,
lock them and I don't get stuck in there like
five nights at Freddy's.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
So yeah, you would.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
That would be a real tragedy, Yes, it would. So
I placed the NOLL.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
A great opportunity for Shannon Farren on the play by play.
You know, next man up, we have that. We have that.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
That's right, go ahead. We had placed the call about
three hours ago. P I called Okay.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
Once I got back to Charlotte, I dialed them up
and uh person answers.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
On the telephone on the telephone, Red House furniture.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
Dennis speaking, I said, Dennis, I don't know if you
have a minute, but this is going to be a
bit of a long introduction on the open telephone. On
the telephone, sir, I said, I'm hoping either you can
help me out or there is a manager you could
pass me along too, that I could that I could
place this request. He said, now I got some time,
(11:03):
go ahead, and I said, well, do a radio show
out in Los Angeles sports radio show, and we have
as number one.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
Did you say we're number one for twenty.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
Ye say Afternoon Drive? I said, hey, Afternoon Drive out
there in Los Angeles.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
Number one.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
And we have been playing the Red House commercial for
a decade and whenever there is a situation surrounding race,
we queue up big Head and ask the question.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Can't we all just get along?
Speaker 2 (11:32):
Right?
Speaker 1 (11:33):
And he says, big Head's my brother.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (11:36):
I said, you're a big Head is my actual brother.
Speaker 4 (11:40):
And we all just get along?
Speaker 3 (11:43):
And I said that's fantastic. I said, so here's what
I'd like to do. I would I would like to
come out to the Red House.
Speaker 4 (11:52):
Can't we all just get along?
Speaker 3 (11:55):
I would love to interview your brother, big Head. He's
a celebrity on our show. I'd love to interview ten
Engage and he's like, they no longer work here, all right,
body blow. I'm like, okay, so why?
Speaker 1 (12:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (12:09):
I didn't ask why because well, you shared with me
yesterday that fifty to fifty Stevens said when he asked
about Big Head, they said keep him in your prayers.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
He's working through something.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
Well, I want to know what's going on.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
I want to console the guy and his dead brother.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
Is he dead? Is dead?
Speaker 3 (12:25):
I would assume if he was dead, he would have
told me he was dead. Right, he said, they've moved on.
So that's the first hit. I'm like, all right, whatever,
we can still do the show from there. We'll figure
it out.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
Yeah, we gotta say Yad's brother Dennis, right.
Speaker 3 (12:37):
I said, well, Dennis, I'd love to do the show
from there, and he goes, really, I said, yeah, So
as long as you guys got Wi Fi, I've got
the set up. You don't have to do anything to
give me the Wi Fi password. I'd love to set
up shop on the showroom floor, promote the heck out
of the Red House, and do ninety minutes four to
five twenty five from here. Back to Los Angeles drive
(13:00):
number two market in America.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
What do you get that?
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Tell him, Matt selling.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
And he he starts laughing, as all that would be something. Well,
owner's right here in front of me, let me ask him.
I said, all right, So he doesn't put me on hold.
I don't get to hear any music that The phone
just kind of goes against his chest, and I don't
hear him make the presentation, but I do hear the
(13:26):
owner yell.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
Well, it would have been nasty to get more of
a heads up.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
There is not enough time to do it. Damn it.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
I'm like, DoD damn it. That's my so alas the
request was logged.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
It's my fault.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
I got to know Dennis Listen, I thought in the high.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
Point, I thought about the Red House last week and
didn't think about it again. I didn't bring it up,
and I'm just not proactive enough.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
I'm clueless. Kates is even more clueless because he was
in high Point. For God's sake, Ye need and go.
That is that is inexcusable.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
How you like me now, Kentucky?
Speaker 2 (14:05):
Not much. Kate's after that, and I just don't.
Speaker 3 (14:08):
Mind as much as I'd like to drive out there
to do a little No, no, no, It's just I
felt so excited about the idea of interviewing ten Gauge
having a Red House day on the Petros and Money
Show for ninety minutes.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
You forgive him, don't you? Vic? Victor heads up?
Speaker 1 (14:24):
Does he need?
Speaker 2 (14:25):
I mean, now you're going to attack the white man
that owns a red House.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
Well, if I were to guess Vic is he probably figures.
I don't suspect many people listening drivetime Los Angeles are
going to fly out the high point by a nice
sectional or recliner from me. So what what do I
get out of this outside of these idiots sitting on
But I'm like, hey, we can interview, Like imagine if
there's a white person, a black person, an expanderson, an
(14:49):
Asian person, if there's an Asian right we could interview
each of them. Why are you coming to the red
What is it about the Red House?
Speaker 1 (14:57):
You know?
Speaker 3 (14:57):
And kisimity? And this is a time it's an election.
I mean, we did we do? This could have been
a game changer.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
Yeah, that's unfortunate, But madam, I have applaud your effort.
I really do we all do we applaud your effort
because none of us would have done gone that far.
Speaker 1 (15:14):
Even thank you.
Speaker 3 (15:18):
I wish the result would have been better, but as
was the pace with me. Uh, get you halfway home?
You want to make it to your bed. You're on
your own.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
You might have made a great effort, you know, to
do something in your work. But I'm black and I
had a C.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
Section, so.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
I'd like to discuss that.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
Yes, Vic, so sorry, Uh, no red House trip tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (15:46):
I'm excited for a minute, great effort, for great effort,
really a great effort.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
Thank you, you.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Went above and beyond. You really do know you went above. Yeah,
but who calls anybody anymore on the telephone?
Speaker 1 (15:59):
Fair point? Help us send a text?
Speaker 2 (16:01):
Right? And you had to sit there and wear that
what they're not coming here? And you had to feel
the hands up than that? Right, Like, there's a reason
none of us interact anymore because none of us want
to be told no telephone.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
Dennis, though he did seem a little depressed, I think
Dennis was looking forward to it.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
Well, maybe we can call and get him on.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
Not a bad idea, all right, not a bad idea,
Redhouse Dennis speaking.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
We do have to do a show today, even though
we're flexed way back and all that. We will have
a little bit of news an anniversary of sorts. In

on this guy, Matt. It's a lip ring.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
Yeah, put this on a TV.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
Looks like a homeless person. Yes, the one armed man
from the Fugitive look at like a little.

Speaker 2 (17:23):

Speaker 1 (17:25):

Evolution of Television style? Yeah whatever. I remember.
Speaker 4 (17:32):

raid offense. I think it makes you soft. I think
it makes it so your quarterback is gurnied off the
field at some point, and you don't play defense, and
you forget about complimentary football, and you certainly don't run
(23:46):
it enough and all that. But Michael each one of
the great innovators in the history of the game the
air raid and his tree has been very, very impactful
throughout college football. And he was a great character of
the game. He came on the show any many times
and talk to us about all kinds of different stuff.
His career ended when he died about a year and
(24:06):
a half ago at Mississippi State when he was coaching.
But this is the greatest answer in any question anybody's
ever given about anything, A very honest answer about a
very difficult question. And we've lost this, Matt, because the
Pac twelve is no longer in existence. But who can
forget the day five years ago when michae Leach was
asked who would win in a fight between all the
(24:28):
Pac twelve mascots?
Speaker 8 (24:30):
Well, first of all, what kind of mythical powers does
a sun devil have?
Speaker 2 (24:35):
That's a huge part of this, and he knows that
that's where he starts. What kind of mythical powers are
we talking about with the sun devil? That is number
one something to think about. Let's move on.
Speaker 8 (24:46):
First of all, what kind of mythical powers does a
sun devil have? We got to consider that. I'm going
to say the wildcats out. Yeah, the Trojan is does
he have a horse or is he on foot?
Speaker 2 (24:58):
And he's got an ancient fighting stuff, right, The Trojan's
kind of a antique.
Speaker 1 (25:03):
He's probably going to be able to take care of.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
Him well did And that's the big question is was
the ute able to trade for a rifle?
Speaker 1 (25:11):
That's another question. Just his sword?
Speaker 8 (25:14):
Uh, the bruin definitely formidable. Another bear up there, cow
the tree. I mentionined that trees can get chopped down
unless we're going to go with the bird, and somebody
might get picked or something.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
I don't know.
Speaker 8 (25:28):
And then the duck. Duck might lose interest in just
fly away and get out of there, which may be
good advice under the circumstances.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
No doubt about that.
Speaker 8 (25:38):
The husky, no chance.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
The beaver.
Speaker 8 (25:44):
We'll see how long that beaver can hold his breath.
The the ute again, we're back to is he on horseback?
Does he have a bow and arrow? Did he trade
for a rifle? I mean, you know, because if you's
got a rifle, there's some definite problems totally. You know,
you'd have to get one of those Harry Potter activists
(26:06):
to read up on how you kill a sun devil
because there's a lot of uh outside stuff there.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
Yeah, no doubt.
Speaker 8 (26:13):
Just as far as a beast alone, a buffalo is
going to be pretty hard to tangle with I mean,
a buffalo's utterly outstanding. Well, but Butch, Butch's gonna have
to be clear minded. But I mean, butcher, but you'll
find a way, There's no question, but goog will find
a way. Uh. Clear minded and crafty, a combination of
(26:33):
stay out of arm's way and and uh and attack
when you get your your chances or your openings.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
Butch, the koug would have to be clear minded and crafty.
Speaker 3 (26:44):
Accurate assessment. I mean, you cannot argue any of what
you discussed. You traits for a rifle. Number one doesn't well.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
The mythical power of the sun devil? How do you
kill it? Right? And if the you has a rifle,
does he is he still able to kill the buffalo?
And I mean that that bullet might just get launched
in that huge, fat neck and then you're bowl over
like a yellowstone.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
Because of the type of rifle you're talking about, maybe
even having to jam a little.
Speaker 2 (27:10):
You know, it may be a musket or like an
elephant gun, yeah, to take out that buffalo. Yeah, And
does that you'd even have a rifle at all?
Speaker 1 (27:18):
Right? Brewin versus a Coug's an interesting one. I think I'm.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
Probably the Come on, it's the bear I mean my
match on a tree and it leaps down and it
seems well, I.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
Mean circumstance, I mean I got I've got a Cougars
versus bear Cats, Houston versus Cincinnati on a little noon
this week, Matt, what's a bear cat?
Speaker 1 (27:41):
Tough one? Right?
Speaker 2 (27:42):
It's pretty evenly matched. Right now, steel versus an electric
bolt shock. I like to charge your chances to be
two and oh, three and oh exactly right. Unless the
Steelers are steel is gonna conduct the other.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
It could be.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
Grounded, though there could be some rubber. Okay with us, everybody,
We'll be right back with David vasse.
Speaker 1 (28:07):

Speaker 1 (28:45):
Dodgers with an inside look at the Dodgers. This is
the Vass Report with David Vasse.
Speaker 2 (28:54):
David Vasse joining us right now on your Southern California
town a dealer celebrity hotline, feeling the flame of South Florida,
enjoying his time away from Atlanta, and undoubtedly those last
two Dodgers wins. Dave's got to travel with these guys
that if they're in a good mood, it helps him.
(29:16):
David Vasse from Spectrum Sportsnet MLB Network and right here
on a five seventy LA Sports. What's cracking, Dave?
Speaker 4 (29:24):
How are you?
Speaker 6 (29:26):
Everything's great? Guys here at formerly known as Marlins Park
now Lone Depot Park in Yeah, Lone Depot Park, one
of the most bizarre stadiums and one of the most
bizarre locations in all across America. But we're here, and
I saw Gabe Kapler with his weirdo eyeglasses and his
(29:46):
weirdo look on the field watching Betty.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
He's got a hell of a tan. I bet he's
got a beautiful tan down there, Yeah he does.
Speaker 6 (29:55):
He doesn't have, you know, his leather tote bag around
his shoulder today, just that his sport code and is
whereas Waldo's eyeglasses. Hello, great to see you.
Speaker 4 (30:06):
I'm gonna watch this.
Speaker 6 (30:08):
Game and really think about how I've been fired from
two different teams.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
But it's the truth.
Speaker 1 (30:17):
It's true.
Speaker 2 (30:19):
Well, Dave Gabe Kapler and his eyewear aside and his
serious look of consternation. Uh, what do you make of
the last two wins for the Dodgers? How big? Where
those last two wins? I know, wins and losses are
also measured with how healthy this team looks and what
the pitching staff is doing game in and game out.
But has to be pretty good going to Miami after
(30:42):
those last two games, no doubt about it.
Speaker 6 (30:44):
The Dodgers are in a much better position today than
they were after that second game in Atlanta, getting a
really good start from Walker Bueller who won six innings,
and then last night getting a solid start from Yamamoto
and scoring nine runs on only four hits, only the
second time in Dodger franchise history that has ever happened.
(31:05):
So the mood on the plane was very festive, even
in the wee hours of the morning as the team
flew from Atlanta to Miami. And certainly the Dodgers are
in a great position now to be able to clinch
the NL West early on their next homestand and maybe
not have to wait until they play the Padres. And
if they just win one against the Padres, if it
(31:26):
goes that long, they will be able to secure another
NL West championship.
Speaker 2 (31:32):
And all of a.
Speaker 6 (31:32):
Sudden, now you might have a little bit more confidence
that you will be able to secure the second seed
in the National League and outside shot at the top seed,
and also be able to count on Walker Bueller being
your third starter in the postseason without Tyler Glass.
Speaker 3 (31:50):
Now, yeah, David, I think the one interesting thing that
came out of that win last night, Well, obviously they won,
so they keep pace with the Padres and said, you're
closer to clinching the division and a buy in the
first round out of the wild card round. But is
that Yamamoto's not going to be able to pitch on
not only shortened rest, but regular rest, which leads me
(32:11):
to believe they're going to need a fourth starter for
the postseason, well, if they get out of the Division round.
Speaker 6 (32:16):
Right There was a reason why I did not tweet
what Dave Roberts had said because I find it very
hard to believe that Yamamoto would not be able to
pitch on four days rest. And even the part that
wasn't tweeted or written about was how Dave said it's
a moot point right now until we get there. That
(32:37):
was not the headline grabber. And I know all these
guys from the Evil four Letter and the La Times,
they were very eager to write that story. And it's
true Dave Roberts did say it's unlikely, but once you
get into the postseason, things change and players are definitely
asked to do more than what they've been asked to
(32:57):
do during the regular season, and that includes Yamamoto. So
I find it very difficult to believe to be able
to manage, like you said, Matt, with the Dodgers rotation
as it is currently constructed, very thinly, that Yamamoto is
not going to be able to pitch on four days rest.
I just feel like that's a little presumptuous at this
(33:18):
point in time. And like I said that wasn't the
full quote from Dave Roberts that you read out there
in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Speaker 1 (33:25):
Well, I am limited to what is presented to me.
Speaker 6 (33:28):
Now, but it's misleading. It's misleading. How they don't even
have five starters. How are they going to manage a
series with five starters? Yamamoto in a seven game series
would be asked to pitch at least once in the
NLDS and then you want him twice in the NLCS,
So that would allow him four to five days rest.
Speaker 1 (33:50):
Is it? Is it safe to say?
Speaker 3 (33:52):
Look, Yamamoto coming back would be a postseason saver if
he's you know, although that point is mooting until they
get there, like Dave said, But is it safe to
say that? Then maybe Tommy Edmond is a season saver.
The fact that he's kind of been mister consistent as
they've gone through these lulls and able to lift this
team to a couple wins. Is he the most consistent
bat on the team right now?
Speaker 1 (34:13):
He really is.
Speaker 6 (34:14):
And look, he hadn't played all year long before the
Dodgers traded for him. Remember his debut, his season debut,
not only Dodger debut, was a little delayed because not
only was he coming back from a right wrist injury,
but also sprained his ankle, his right ankle during his
rehab assignment with the Cardinals, so he was still getting
(34:37):
his feet underneath him the first two or three weeks
with the Dodgers. But now all of a sudden in
the month of September, he's really starting to hit his rhythm.
Here in fourteen September games, he's hitting three point fifteen
with five home runs and twelve RBIs.
Speaker 2 (34:55):
So you have to look at those.
Speaker 6 (34:57):
First couple of weeks as the first couple of weeks
of his season, and there's a reason why Andrew Freeman
thought as highly of Tommy Edmond as he expressed, saying
that he had show Heo Tani at the top of
his wish list and Tommy Edmond number two. There's a
reason why, and we're starting to see why Andrew Friedman
(35:19):
was so high on Edmund not only the versatility, but
he just fits so perfectly in this lineup because he
does have back to ball skills that a lot of
guys at that part of the Dodger order really don't.
Speaker 2 (35:33):
The great David Vasse, ladies and gentlemen We appreciate you. Dave,
have a great night. Tonight. I throw ninety nine. You're out.
You gotta throw one hundred. David, have a great night.
Dig deep into all of this with Gabe Kapler. I'm
sure he has all.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
That talk to Waldo and the pregame through his glasses. Well,
my glasses.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
It will be right. We can't I can't possibly see
anything without my glasses. We'll be right back with more fun.
