The Dreams Center is where we are set up. Two
more hours to go. One hours in the Books of Disaster,
we talked to him, yes, the director of Disaster or leave.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Clint joined us, and then Clint Carl said, and then
Anthony Vila Regosa, right, I forgot on the back end
of the interview, former mayor. We never said anything bad
about him on the show. Never. I've never done anything. Well, no,
we haven't. We're just we're just Antonio'll be our adjacent
it's just right down the hall. We're fine, Yeah, I'll
(01:18):
take one of those. That's what it is, exactly right.
And then h we talked to Barry one of my
favorite interviews.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
Twenty five grand and chromebooks donated to the Avison Charter School,
which burned in the Altadena fire berry.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
From Barry's tickets. And we've had a lot of great
sports talks so far. Still from sports talk. We're gonna
get back into some of the sports talk. David Vase
is going to join us with the latest on Roki
Sasaki if there's any oh so much, and then we'll
have he is an Alta Dina right now. Our third
hour pastor Matthew. I talked to him on his way
(01:52):
out when he was striding out with his bodyguards of
Blessings and Tim Kats and I talked to him and
it was like a real like hey, hey, brother, brother,
right And he said, I said, you got to come back, past, Matthew,
you know you gotta come back to do the show.
And he said he'll be back. He said, I never
get weary if he doesn't make it back. Kassicks merrily.
(02:13):
Cass Right, we can talk about the forklift and I
just swing that thing around with so much authority.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
Hey, what what is that thing on the back of
the forklift? That big old tank. That's what it runs on.
It runs on propane. Okay, yeah, hey, Cale, I'll get
you figuring out that's right now.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
Lambit Bobby, shut up. It's a dumb question. We have
all kinds of stuff going on here at the Dream Center.
It's not stopping. This is people moving around. Day eight.
You can volunteer right by the big giant iHeart. When
you come here. You can pick up stuff if you're
in need. You can donate stuff. Look what's right in
front of us. Pee if you have to give a
giant U haul with a mammoth.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
Full of goods, the fale of goods that they are
dropping off to give to the people in need here
in Los Angeles.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
So wonderful stuff. And the Dream Center LA and iHeart,
that's us have teamed up and you can donate stuff
like this is what they need, non perishable food items,
they take gift cards. We learned that in the first hour.
We haven't we haven't been promoting that, but now we will.
Bottled water, which they still need. Feels like there's a
lot of one. This dude is swool, but you know
(03:17):
he's tired. When we don't have the music, he doesn't
move as fast, and that's our bad. It's a talk show.
It's a talk show. We got to talk and then
we'll keep it going. During the breaks we play the music.
They need baby supplies for the babies, like diapers and wipes.
Five if you got one, two, three, don't bring it.
Pet foods and supplies and hygiene products. They need all
(03:38):
that stuff. Speaking of the Clippers and Gillion, tonight they
take on Portland and we will send it to fully
functional employee Adam, a very charitable man in his own right.
At six o'clock, tip off at seven, all right, Matt
(04:00):
will do a little sports talk for the people. You know.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
His words. The word of the day, Matt.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Today's word is Australian News, as we do have Australian news.
The Australian Open is going on right now. It's Barry
Crocker out there in Melbourne. In Melbourne, that's how they
say it. Remember we learned that from The Bachelor, Jen Tranchel,
Jen tran that's right. Uh. You know the tennis player
(04:31):
Danielle Collins, sure do She is from the University of Virginia,
where she won two singles titles in the n C
Double A. She's never won a major, but she's been
in a final and she was supposed to retire. Woo's
what's that?
Speaker 3 (04:45):
Is that the Virginia call go Woo's Who's Who's That's
exactly right.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Who's who's? All right? So the wah who's the so
go Who's? Yeah, you know, I thought that exactly right. Anyway,
Collins beat a local Australian out there in Melbourne and
really got into it with the fans. The fans were
(05:12):
booing her mercilessly. She just gave it back and uh.
Then she when she won, she did like a whole
cogain like I can't hear you thing, and then after that,
uh she blew a kiss to the crowd, and then
when they kept and then she slapped her ass like yeah, yeah,
(05:32):
she really really gave him the business. And she's playing
in America next. I think she's playing Cocoa Golf next.
So it's not gonna be maybe they'll bo the whole time,
but it was interesting. And then afterwards she did two
interviews and she's like, I love it when they hate you,
because even though you hate me, you're still paying my bills.
I still g it a fat check. And then you
(05:52):
do that one interview. So she did the the court
interview with the Australian Open guy who's like, they don't long,
I must doings right back. I don't care. And then
she goes. You think she cool off a little in
the ESPN ladies there right ESPN lady puts the mic
because she goes, I just love being a professional athlete.
I'll tell you why all these people can hate on
you and you're still gonna get You're still gonna get paid,
(06:13):
take their money, still gonna get a big fat check
from here. I can't wait to spend it. Damn. She's
a very handsome lady too. She's a lovely lady, a
thirty one year old, you know. And she's got a
new boyfriend that she met at a coffee shop and
got her boyfriend. And Wimbledon she met a she met
a guy that was at Wimbledon a coffee shop, doesn't
even know about tennis. He was like, hey, it was
like a notting Hill. That movie with with Hugh Grant,
(06:37):
Julia Roberts where she opens her mouth and swallows his
whole head. That was the plot, willis head fit. I
work here at this bookshelp. Uh so it is uh
it's it's a real Barry Crocker out there. Keep your
eyes on Danielle Collins, Matt. She is really pissing off
those Aussies romance writer. And they don't take No, it's
(06:57):
not you know, you really trying to screw up my story.
I'm sorry, you know. I mean, I'm trying to tell
I'm trying to tell a story. Many How can I
tell a story of stubsense with you sitting here being like, oh,
Man's novel, Oh the wooze, isn't that the wooze? Hey?
Charlotte's been listening where they have that riot. Hey, that's
(07:19):
that's a damn. I'm just playing grab and having fun
and games.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
And now I gotta visualize that Dodge Charger driving through
that crowd. Geez, you've ruined it. It's a real berry.
You're a crocody. You she won, that's a real berry.
It's like, okay, I'm gonna how many do that?
Speaker 1 (07:39):
I can't hear you with the whole coca and they're like,
I don't like you and then she's like, oh, you
know what, I'm gonna blow a kiss to the crowd.
They're like that. She's like, I'm gonna slap my eye.
It's like that Vince McMahon like you know where he
looked and his eyes turned round. That's how much they
hate her. It's gonna it's gonna boil over in Melbourne.
Keep your eyes out for the Australia. But that's how
(08:00):
they said Melbourne. Go ahead, Do you have a story?
I do? Yeah, number Oh yeah, I'm gonna show you
how the day is five. I'm gonna show you what
proper hey, the proper etiquette. Okay, cract that. That's a
real Berry Crocker. The way you act Nomber day it
is five. You have all these people, all these charitable people,
to see if you act like that. I think they
(08:21):
were wildly entertained. Was into it, loves us.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
Five is the number of the day. Hour one was
going great, hour too, wearing on start. We're already late.
I guess since Clutch for for what I don't know,
Rose to the top deliver the personal hygiene goods. Oh
I've heard about easy Berry, Yeah, Clutch sports Rose that
he's gonna be like the milk create guy that like
you gotta climb the milk pyramid and then get down just.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
Like, uh, did you just say Rich Paul is a
good guy too? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (08:55):
He did what protecting the famous listen Clutch sports, Rich Paul.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
They're the number one agency group in all the NBA.
Have to screw up your story.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
Barry's here, he's donating more so you want to tell
Rich the donut, Well, Rich don't want to donate. Rich
wants your money. They want five billion dollars. These people
who spring Hill's going bankrupt because of that's right, that's
Maverick who's a dead beat, the Lrmr Lebron Rich.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
Both successful, m Maverick dead beat. What he does is
Maverick got the production company, yes, which is going bankrupt.
That's spring Hill exactly right, and they're filing for bankruptcy.
And now he wants to know that's what they get
for trying to remake House Party exactly and Space Jam
and Million Dollar Mile. Had it been given a better
(09:45):
time slot, very well could have succeeded. Who knows, guys,
we're moving to Friday night.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
I'm sorry, check that make it Saturday at four pm Saturday,
at four pm.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Yeah, but it's good for this type of show. But
it's gonna be every other week, every other week. Let
me get this straight.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
We started Tuesday at nine and now it's Friday at
eight and then it's Saturday at four.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
Okay, that was one of them show. Yes, uh, spring Hill.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
So they want five billion dollars five billion dollars center
from a venture capital to see as seed money. Who's
venture capital?
Speaker 1 (10:23):
Some guy dude, his name is venture and his brother's
capital brothers.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
They don't want to do a summer league. They want
to do a rival league. They think they can take
on the NBA. We're going to have six male, six
female teams. And not only are we going to barnstorm,
we're going to barnstorm the globe, starting in Singapore. It's
set up where they want to get their hands on
that blood money.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
They want to get into the Saudi Trust. Yeah, they
want the Saudi Public Fund is what they want money
exactly live did with the PGA. They believe they can
do with the NBA.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
Offer players in equity stake and more money than they
could ever imagine. And I would imagine it's going to
start with a forty one year old that maybe wants
to keep playing basketball.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Let me ask you this, Yeah, because I think the
NBA has probably turned a blind eye to the Lebron's
whole agency thing and a real slick rick, right it
was that was an accident in London. But no, I
mean they've they've really turned their face away from from
(11:32):
the fact that Lebron's agent has like this weird kind
of tampering thing going on for the last ten years,
the building of the super team.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
Six hundred and thirty million dollars in basketball salaries this year.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
They've allowed all this stuff to happen because Lebron is
such a hot ticket for them, and they've done a
lot of things. I mean, yeah, Lebron's been good for
the NBA, but the NBA has been better for Lebron
than Lebron has been for the NBA dollars. And not
only that, I think you point out out very clearly
and very succinctly. I think it's the best point you
made in twenty twenty four among so many. Man. Well,
(12:07):
I mean that's why I looked at you, like, really,
I can think of sixty I have a leader board
in my room, but it's number one point you made
this year last year in Great Sports Talk twenty twenty.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
Four, Great Sports Talk.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
And it was like after some night where you know,
Lebron broke some other record and hung his nuts on somebody,
and you said, you know, it's amazing. This guy is spectacular.
I mean, he's like only a couple of years younger
than us, and he's out there playing one of the
most athletic, most explosive, hardest games in the world with
(12:46):
these elite athletes and he's still got it. He's still
playing relevant basketball. It is so amazing that everybody hates him.
That is how much of a terrible management of his
image that he is done over the last however many years,
seven years people, I mean ever since the Jim Gray thing,
(13:07):
which was an l R m R production by the way,
Like this guy has has taken every wrong publicity turn.
It feels like, I mean, he's a great basketball player,
but he's also universally despised and where his fans are
literally literally called lebron sexuals. That is not sexuals, Bronze sexuals.
(13:27):
That is not an endearing term, you know, it is
just not n It's like, yeah, thanks for thanks for that.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
Yeah you fed US a billion dollars and we're gonna
try to run a rival.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
Now. That's how fount That's how Dantanna's felt. They had
this great matre d Craig. All these years Greg and
Dantanna's were together, and all of a sudden, Craig's like, Yeah,
you created this whole empire for me. Guess what, I'm
gonna go open Craigs and I'm gonna serve all the
same stuff, and guess what, I'm gonna take all the
celebrities for myself.
Speaker 4 (13:58):
That's cool.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
That's what they're doing to the NBA. They're Craig if David's,
they're Craig from d'antanna's. If Dave, if that's not local,
that's I don't know what you want. If if David's
Stern was still alive now, he would take a flamethrower
in Lebron's whole business.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
He'd be playing in China, he would be playing it. Hey,
he'd be a Shanghai shark, that's what he'd be right now.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
I hope, I hope you you like it cold, because
tomorrow you're gonna be working in Alaska, so dress warm.
That's that's I think it's wrong. What you now? Your
NBA career is over. The NBA's facilitated all this stuff
for you, most of it on savory. You're gonna turn
around and stab the NBA in a bag with Saudi
blood money. Oh no, Sparatus not gonna have it, and
(14:43):
he probably will. He's kind of enabled him this entire time.
But now he'll see the air of his ways and
he'll bite the neck of Lebron turn back into a bat.
He'll suck his blood exactly right, so then he'll get
all that balco in him and die. Ah suicide of
that guys. Jaw.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
This is the song of the day.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
I'm gonna use my John to take a fight out
of the NBA. Ronnie.
Speaker 5 (15:07):
The Power of Love is our song of the day
from Huey lewis in the news because today the Petros
and Money Show is broadcasting live from the Dream Center,
where the Power of Love is in full effect with
volunteers rolling up their sleeves and serving the needs of
the people during this most difficult time. And you can
help out too by volunteering your time. You can also
(15:28):
visit Dreamcenter dot Oregon make a sizeable donation while listening
to great sports talk because we await Clippers basketball in
Portlandia with those Trailblazers at Modus Center. That will get
started with our friend Adam oslind and your Clippers countdown
show at six o'clock.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
Looking forward to that.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
Indeed, right, Bomber's worth like sixty billion dollars he can't
scratch how like a twenty million dollar check.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
He just hasn't done it yet, like Barry's doing talk
right there. That's the best one for Palomas right there. Yeah,
that's basically the equivalent of a mountain dew out of it.
Somebody go get a two liter of ape, fruit of hornethos,
bring the horns and hoos and we'll bring them together.
(16:14):
All right, I shouldn't say that here at the Dream Center,
they don't mind a couple of people that climb out
the windows. Seriously, where where is it? What happened? We
were having a great time and then Petros Papadenka's got
caught up at the Dream Center roof smoking a doobie.
Speaker 3 (16:31):
We'll be back live at the Dream Center. They can
use your help. A lot of manpower people moving around.
The cars continue to come in. They are helping out
those in need. Until seven pm, like they have every
day for the last eight days, and that will continue
(16:52):
for the foreseeable future. Nine am to seven pm. If
you have if you need anything, they got it. It's
it's baby supplies, it's diapers, it's personal hygiene products, it's
bottled water, it's food. If you're in need, this is
your spot and they are helping out the city. The
city has rallied around the Dream Center like they always do.
(17:15):
Couldn't believe that number when Clint joined us earlier during
COVID three hundred and eighty seven straight days of feeding
the city of Los Angeles, five point five million people fed.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
Millions of people. That's the kind of work they do
here at the Dream Center. One of the people that
hooked the station up with the Dream Center originally David Vase,
justin Turner and Clint, and here he is with some
Dodger news. David Vase, Roki Sasaki sweepsteak still on passing
of a baseball legend in Bob Yucker. David Vase a
(17:49):
hero to the people. Our reporter embedded with the Dodgers
on am FI seventy LA Sports. You see him on
Spectrum Sports Net and the MLB Network. He's joining us
right now in to southern California. Tell you to do
the celebrity online Dave. What's cragin? How are you?
Speaker 6 (18:06):
You guys are doing a great job and the Dream
Center has been doing a great job throughout this tragedy
that has hit all Ta Dina in Pasadena. And I
know you guys saw online with all the LA professional
sports teams. Fanatics has teamed up with all the teams
to make those LA Strong T shirts well tomorrow at
Dodger Stadium tomorrow morning. Guys like Blake Snell, Anthony Bonda,
(18:29):
Chris Taylor, our guy Luke Robotie, all the teams are
bringing all those funds together and all that you have
at the Dream Center is going to be at Dodger
Stadium as well. There's going to be Fanatic shirts and
they have all the essentials for those affected by the fire.
By the fires tomorrow morning at Dodger Stadium, so they're
(18:53):
gonna have all the boots out there. They're going to
bring all the funds they've gotten through Fanatics and through
these sports teams in LA and have that all available
at Dodger Stadium tomorrow morning.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
You've covered Dodger stuff here at the Dreams. I mean,
we've never been here before. It's our first time here
at the Dream Center. Dave, have you have you've been
here before, You've covered stuff here or haven't you? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (19:16):
I actually did a Dodger talk show from there. Justin
and Courtney did an event there, a fundraiser there, and
yet it's the remarkable to see. We talk about it,
but once you see it, you can't believe. Just the
infrastructure they have to support what you're describing, what we're
posting on social media, and even when there isn't a disaster.
(19:37):
You heard Clint talk about it. They house a lot
of people that are in need, and they have a
lot of different departments for a lack of better term,
to specialize in what people need on the streets and
those at our display that can't pay rents. So it
is a remarkable facility. And Matthew Barnett, the pastor there,
(19:57):
has done a remarkable job.
Speaker 1 (19:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:00):
And as you did a show from here, close ties
with the Dodgers were staring at the sign that says
Justin and Courtney Turner food Bank. You have the Clayton
Kershaw Playground down below, so certainly close ties with the Dodgers,
and speaking of those Dodgers, Dave reading today as it
pertains to Sasaki and the international bonus pool and the
(20:20):
money you can spend that maybe they're going to try
to acquire a little bit more dough if in fact
that's what it's going to take. Do we feel like
this is getting closer? And is this like the sprint
toward the finish line between the Dodgers and Padres with
that latest news that they're both trying to see if
they can get more cash for Sasaki.
Speaker 6 (20:39):
Yeah, I think that It's kind of reminds me of
when Jerry West was trying to find extra cash for
the Shaquille o'meals signing back in ninety six. He went
even as far to gamble with trading Anthony Peeler to
Vancouver just to get maybe five extra million dollars. So, yeah,
that's been in play and we are getting closer. He
(21:00):
has until next week next Thursday, to sign, so we
could talk about it, but nobody really has any clarity.
The only thing that I could tell you is what
I told you the last few days, is that he's
the one driving this, and he's the one that's not
going to be influenced by his agent. The Dodgers have
a lot working for them, The Padres have a lot
(21:20):
working for them, and it's up to Sazaki. I don't
think a million or two million dollars of international money
is going to make a difference because it's not just
about this upcoming year, his rookie year, but it's about
which team can offer him the greatest chance to achieve
being the greatest pitcher in Major League Baseball.
Speaker 1 (21:41):
You, Darvis, going to really recruit this guy, Dave.
Speaker 6 (21:45):
He is. He's like a big He's a big brother,
father figure to a lot of Japanese players, and he
is the golden goose for the Padres to try to
recruit Sazaki.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
Oh not the goose thing with the Padres again enough that,
Oh good call, Let's go goose. David Vessy is our
guest on Amphi Svityla Sports, your home of Dodger Baseball.
David vasse has been traveling with the team for a decade,
has gotten to know a lot of people that have
come and gone, and David Vassay of course great history
(22:19):
in Milwaukee. Not only is his wife Tessa's family, some
of them from Milwaukee, but Dave's arm fell off in
Milwaukee trying to go down the slide, his finest Dodger moment. Yeah,
and of course Milwaukee home to one of the great broadcasters,
one of the great baseball personalities of all time, Bob Uker,
who passed away at ninety this week, and that news
(22:41):
came out today. I don't know if he passed out
today or yesterday. But the great Bob Yuker, who was
so self deprecating, didn't take himself too seriously like a
lot of these guys today, and maybe about a billion
times better of a broadcaster than them. Two. You got
to know him a little bit, Dave right traveling inwa
over the years. I mean he worked deep and deep,
(23:02):
like van deep into his old age.
Speaker 6 (23:06):
Yeah, he was ninety years old passing away, and you know,
it was one of the most surreal moments of my
time doing this with the Dodgers and traveling to Milwaukee.
I would be doing the pregame show, whether it's talking
to Tim or something else while on the air, and
that was about the time that Bob Yuker would walk
(23:26):
into our visiting radio booth to visit with Rick Monday
and Charlie Seiner, and you know I'm talking, and you
know Yuker's right there talking about his fishing trips with
Rick Monday and telling a little old stories. So that's
how I got to know him, because he would come
into the booth. It wasn't like, you know, any of
us would go and barge into his radio boots. But
(23:48):
I had the one and only opportunity to have him
on the pregame show back when the Dodgers were in
Milwaukee in twenty eighteen, and we talked about then. We
talked about how he balanced broadcasting erschemes and taping the
great eighties sickcom mister Belvidere, And we also talked about
his iconic miller Like commercials. One of my favorite was
(24:10):
with the penguin, Ron Say and Bob Bucker. And here's
what he said about that, in particular, miller Like commercial
and just about the whole iconic pop culture left with everybody.
Your miller Like commercials are iconic. Every time I see
Ron Say at Dodger Stadium, I bring up the one
(24:30):
you guys did together. What do you remember about that
one specific commercial with the penguin?
Speaker 7 (24:34):
Yeah, I remember that, And I was trying to he was.
He was telling me about autographs and money.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
I showed him.
Speaker 7 (24:42):
I showed him a baseball card how much for this?
And I remember him turning his head and whoof he
did like that. But yeah, Ron say, we've been friends
too for a long long time. But the Miller like
commercials were. When we did the reunion spots, it was
kind of like a week of insanity getting all those
guys together, you know, greatest football players, the greatest basketball
(25:04):
we had everything. And the writers. We had a bunch
of young writers out of New York that wrote those spots,
and they would let you, I mean for me, they
let me kind of chip in with things to say
or things that I might say, or but for I
(25:24):
don't know. I think I did twenty six of those
for about fifteen years. And we actually did want at
Dodger Stadium. Yeah, yeah, that was the front row. When
the usher came and told me I was in the
wrong seat, and I said, I must be in the
front row. And then I ended up in the upper
deck at Dodger Stadium, way down the right field corner.
That's where it was. We did that at Dodger Stadium.
Speaker 1 (25:47):
Beautiful Gause I.
Speaker 6 (25:48):
Was just one of the interview from twenty eighteen. Yeah,
he was an awesome guy, a humble guy. And you
know what's interesting, guys, how he didn't take himself seriously.
And there's a lot of other brock Cass we all
know that take themselves way too seriously and have not
accomplished half as much of what Bob Uker did.
Speaker 3 (26:08):
I was listening to an interview with Al Michaels today, Dave,
and he made an interesting point. I wonder if you
would agree with it. He said, I think the two
greatest broadcasters in baseball history were Bob Uker and Vince Scully,
and I think there are so many parallels between them,
the way they would thread and storytell. And he said,
the best way I can describe it is they were
(26:29):
such an easy listen that there was nothing like either
of those guys when it came to just being easy
to listen to them broadcast a baseball game.
Speaker 6 (26:38):
Yeah, I would switch over to the Brewers radio broadcast.
He's right, there was a charm. There was you know,
that guy next door that was telling you about the
game and telling you about what's not only happening on
the field, but you know different stories he would weave in,
and I think that's the reason why they're both considered
two of the best, because they were able to weave
(27:00):
those in and it was such a comfortable listing. So
I wouldn't argue with that.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
The great day, I'd put Hawk Harrelson in there. The
great David Vassa put it on the ball. Yeah, God,
the one and only David. What what put her on
the ball?
Speaker 3 (27:22):
Yes, yes, yes, yeah, that sounds like you.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
Put it on the ball. Up be gone corn. All right, Dave, Dave,
we love you, have a great night. And are you
back at home or are you still You can come
over here to the Dream Center.
Speaker 3 (27:41):
Yes, yes, he's back at home.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
Dave. You come over here to the Dream Center. You
get a generator, he.
Speaker 6 (27:47):
Said that power back, and I'll be at Dodger Stadium
tomorrow morning.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
You'd have some Mostuito candles here. Just in time, they
put mosquito candles on my windshield and they gave me five.
We love you, have a great night. Thank you for
sharing that, ker Cliff. That was a wonderful memory. Thank you, Dave.
They should post the whole thing, you know, they post
(28:14):
the whole thing on you don't take advantage of guy's
death like Fred would want to get somebody died. I
want to interview with me. I want to take advantage
of the death. People do respond when there's death. Speaking
of a response, Matt, there's two motorbikes flying down to
one oh five West right now.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
Yeah, they're in duros, the the dirt bike racer. Yes,
the they're not street bikes, they're dirt bikes.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
They're in belong there, Matt. Is that why they're on
the shoulder.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
They have street legal and duro bikes. There's a line
on it that looks like what they're doing is illegal.
I mean they're being freaking pursued by the police. Those
are on Channel five. It's a huge chase going on. Brother,
it's two bikes looking to throw a dirt ball. That's
the LAPD.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
That's a CR two fifty right there, and I got
a gearhead, Matt Smith over here, got it. That's a
husk Varn on the left, and that's a seat. It
looks like one guy is actually texting and riding his
dirt bike. I believe he's got some corn rolls. Yeah,
and then the other dude, one guy's got a white bike.
The other guy's got a blue bike. I think the
guy on the white bike is t J. Houshman Zada. Okay,
(29:25):
I played against him at college, you know, I mean
I thought he would have mellowed. We're both kind of older. Uh.
You know the reason that blue bike is still around.
It survived the fires and nothing blue burned. Fil Sevanger
told me that the other night on KFI. Right, yeah,
he's a Look at that blue BVW Petros. It was untouched.
It's blue. Those those biological weapons that used didn't burn
(29:47):
the blue roofs. That's why Epstein stuff was blue down
there at the Weird Island. That's why my blue That's
why your blue choose stays sick. I'm gonna get crazy,
and my house burned down. But I saw a boater.
So we're gonna monitor this chase. We are getting ready.
We're gonna be watching this. This is the greatest chase
I've ever This is a like a tandem chase. Why
(30:10):
don't these guys split up, Matt? What are they doing?
They can't catch them, There's nothing they can do. They're
on freaking dirt bikes off road. On road. You're telling
me I'm telling you that the L A p D
is not dispatching a whole truckload of like seven dudes
on dirt bikes right now, the whole tang I'm LAPD
dirt bikers. They're gonna hit the whooped de dudes and
jump together like like Mario uh in that uh the
(30:35):
Mario Lopez in Pacific Blues Bike Ops. Get them out there.
That's Jeremy McGrath right there, pursuit. It's freaking awesome. And
Jimmy Buttons. You know, it looks like you know, I
think of like black guys on motorcycles, like that movie
Biker Boys. Yeah, remember Biker Boys? I do with the
z are these the Biker Boys? These are the extras
from Cool as Ice. I'm pretty sure ty Reese was
(30:57):
in Biker Boys.
Speaker 4 (30:58):
There's a third and.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
There's a quad. Oh my god, a guy on a Yamaha.
Bitch you just pulled in. We'll be right back out
a fifth. Can we pull off the commercial? No, damn it.
Matt and I live at the Dream Center, Echo Park, California.
A lot of charity going on, a lot of compassion,
(31:23):
a lot of love and help for the people of
the city and the sea dot because we've had some
terrible fires. We work here at iHeartMedia and they've teamed
up with the Dream Center. You can donate go to
amby seventy la sports dot com keyword donate, or you
can come down here and volunteer or give or get
if you're in need. Matt, we talked to a lot
of people, but right now we're watching an apocalyptic scene
(31:46):
unfolding the streets of Los Angeles. He's a dirt bike crew.
The whole crew. We got about fifteen dirt bikes. It
started with two were watching two bikers.
Speaker 3 (31:56):
Yeah, two motorcycles, two dirt bikes, not even a duros,
just straight up dirt by.
Speaker 1 (32:01):
They were out on the freeway on the one oh
five right and now first they were on the seven
ten when we picked it up.
Speaker 3 (32:08):
They're on Vermont and Imperial Highway doing wheelead donuts in
the middle of the intersect.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
They're like a nor walk around there about sixteen. I mean,
what are we doing? People? People? Deep joints is very
upset cases, like what are they doing? What are they doing?
We're showcasing this, yes we are. They're putting on a
show for us.
Speaker 4 (32:25):
Gas.
Speaker 3 (32:26):
There's wheelies. They're surfing a bike. Then why are we
talking to Channel four here, Ronnie. Channel four actually.
Speaker 4 (32:31):
Saw one of the new riders that joined them.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
Slide of new riders of the Purple Sage. We got blues,
we got greens, we got reds, we got yellows, a
lot of blues. Matt thought the leader was white. I did, well,
you know, white white bicycle. There's only one white motorcycle.
And if you want they know now they're riding again.
Speaker 4 (32:50):
Yeah, now we don't know which direction they're going.
Speaker 1 (32:52):
They're not like, have we been able to identify the
first two perpetrators? Yeah, there he has did those two.
Speaker 4 (32:57):
Guys besides following them in the air ship and we.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
Got wheelies all over the place. They're kaffy far up.
Kathy's good. There was a police unit in the area
where we just wore a second ago, and I want
to see that Donald duck Hook can do.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
Oh, here we go, Green motorcycle surfing. There's surfing wheelie.
Speaker 1 (33:15):
Green motorcycle has now taken the lead surfing birdn't blah
blah bah blah blah bah blah bla by by by
by by by by, By the way, they're obeying traffic
signals sort of.
Speaker 3 (33:25):
They stopped at a gas station to refill and took
their sweet ass time like five minutes to get all
the bikes filled up.
Speaker 1 (33:30):
But there was like a legit chase going on on
the freeway right and now all of a sudden top
so like whatever take over the traffic. Now it's like, uh,
like a glamous uh show, like what are we doing here?
Speaker 3 (33:44):
When you guys first they're on their way to Palmdale,
it's incredible.
Speaker 1 (33:47):
We've got two motorcycles. Who would have thought it would
have ended up being stand up wheelies. But the two
original guys, they're right there next to each other. There's
a two ogs matt there they are and uh now
it's Tyres from the biker boys at Imperial. It's all
Western Imperial.
Speaker 4 (34:05):
Ask you where are the initial two?
Speaker 6 (34:07):
I got lost in this.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
I found them credit white and Blue. You know white
and Blue, the original two.
Speaker 4 (34:14):
These are not street legal at all, you know CP.
Speaker 1 (34:17):
Stressing None of these are street legal, no th.
Speaker 4 (34:20):
Like normal vehicles. So even if they were to dump
the bikes, they wouldn't necessarily.
Speaker 1 (34:23):
Claimed dua racer lot of duros originally, and then he
sounded like you do. Man.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
I quickly corrected. I said, there's no tail light on there.
It's not an enduro, it's a dirt bike.
Speaker 1 (34:32):
You made us look bush. I didn't know. I said,
two fifty. All the Yamaha, Bande Honda guys flipped over
to seven ten. You know, all right, it's you made
us look like idiots.
Speaker 4 (34:45):
They were all together on some belle.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
He's like, all right, you losers, I'm out of here.
Speaker 4 (34:48):
You just ditched them and then split up and then
got so this feels like a social media The initial two.
Speaker 1 (34:54):
Aren't they going to go to the twin towers and
get rolled up on I think so.
Speaker 2 (34:57):
The
