Pet some Money A five seventy LA Sports. We are
live everywhere on the iHeartRadio app going till seven o'clock,
full four hour show today. We'll get snipped tomorrow at
two hour show thanks to the Clippers mid left. I'm
taking on the That is a four pm pre game,
so a two to four flex alert Petros and Money Show,
and that means no Dodgers tomorrow. They don't want to
(01:10):
step on us, step on the show before us, but
they won't step on us. That means they return on
Thursday for spring training baseball Dodgers versus Rockies. We'll be
back at noon after they got worked over pretty good
by the Mariners today and made us twelve minutes late.
So I guess they did step on us, to be.
Speaker 4 (01:28):
Honest, Oh, they stepped on our d our d is
in the dust. But keep listening. We got a pair
of tickets to the iHeartRadio album release party with the
Lumineers that's tomorrow at the iHeartRadio Theater in Burdbank. Matt
and I are going to give those away before the
show is over. And the show is over at seven,
we give way to bruin in cider. David Vasse will
(01:49):
join us in the very next segment and get into
the day that was in the first hour, we pivoted.
We had some Vevam energy just to get the energy
up because Matt's out there in the night in Indianapolis.
We got we had Jovon bouja On, who was very
pro Laker, very high on the Laker performance in Denver,
(02:13):
and why not, why not? Indeed, and we also have
a lot to come as far as content with the
Bachelor report, and a top story of the day all
the way until seven o'clock. So you're not going to
miss out on much of our They them energy on the.
Speaker 5 (02:35):
Petrol energy, energy.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Energy, energy.
Speaker 4 (02:47):
And speaking of energy, you know who had a lot
of energy today, Like he woke up with a hard puzzo,
clapped his hands and just started doing clap push ups
out of bed. And then side was David Vassy, our
Dodger reporter. And I'll tell you why, Matt.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
His words the word of the day.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
Today's word of the day is smell zilla. Now it's
one thing. And he pitched a little bit today and
did well, struck out a guy, didn't didn't get his
boobs ripped off or anything like that, and overall looked great.
An ace in a Dodger uniform, a cy Young winner,
multi time Cy Young winner in a Dodger uniform, just
(03:30):
looking like a stud out there today a camelback ranch
and that was all wonderful. But it's one thing for us, Matt.
I mean, we're used to David Vass being an idiot
and bouncing around and all his stupid stuff, and he
comes here and insults everybody and says terrible things. But
this morning David Vassay woke up and chose violence. You know,
(03:54):
I mean the Dodger team loves Blake Smell. I mean
he's a new Dodger, but he really was their opponent,
I mean not just their opponent, but like a real opponent,
pitching for the Giants, pitching for the Padres, pitching in
the World Series, for the d Backs against them in
twenty twenty in the World Series. So I mean, this
is a guy that they have seen. And then all
these guys and one of Blake Snell's big nemeses with
(04:18):
the Dodgers was the one and only Austin Barnes, the
Dodger captain the Riverside regalia, our friend Austin Barnes, who
has said TI radio see yeah, he has said well,
in order to insult Massey, Barnes has said to Vassay
in the past, radio is dead, leave me alone. And
(04:43):
we took it as an insult against us because he
said it to him while we were standing right in
the background. And I don't like that we took that
as a personal affront, personal in front of us.
Speaker 6 (04:52):
Now.
Speaker 4 (04:52):
I don't know if it should be or not, but
some backup catcher is not going to insult our medium
and get away with it.
Speaker 7 (05:00):
You're not gonna hide who we are just because some
horse shakes her ass.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
Do you hear me, Barnes?
Speaker 6 (05:06):
You hear me?
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Yeah? So Barnes keep them energy up? Piece me right?
Speaker 4 (05:12):
So Barnes is catching smell today, right? And vassay? He
can't just let sleeping dogs lie. He goes prancing in
to the clubhouse. Now, granted, if this was you know,
June and the Dodgers were on a three game losing
streak or something, or on a long trip and they're
sitting there in Cincinnati, does Dave come dancing into the
(05:35):
clubhouse talking ass like this? No, but listen to this
goofy f on Smell Zilla Day, bouncing into the Dodgers'
clubhouse at Campbelback, getting Austin Barnes, and he does such
a goofy intro to an interview that's supposed to be
in the pregame show that Austin Barnes just taps out
(05:58):
and walks away.
Speaker 8 (05:59):
It's the Dodgers and Mariners on Snell's Zilla Day. Here
a camelback ranch, Blake Snell making his first start of
the spring, and guess who's catching him his old nemesis,
now teammate, Austin Barnes.
Speaker 9 (06:11):
Austin, thanks a lot for the time. Why are you laughing?
Speaker 6 (06:13):
You got no shame, that's just wild. Here, just yell
at at. I can't do this right now?
Speaker 9 (06:19):
What do you mean? It's Snell's Villa day. Are you nervous?
Speaker 6 (06:24):
You gotta go. I'll do it in a dark corner
with you. That's it. Yeah, I'm not doing this.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
So that's the only place. It's the only place you're
gonna hear that because he didn't. He did not do
the interview because Vassa just went out there shouting and
back to the fool, your old nemesis.
Speaker 8 (06:45):
It's the Dodgers and Mariners on Snell's Zilla day. Here
a camelback ranch Blake Snell making his first start of
the spring, and guess who's catching him? His old nemesis,
now teammate, Austin Barnes. Austin, thanks a lot for the time.
Why are you laughing?
Speaker 1 (06:59):
You?
Speaker 6 (07:01):
That's just wild? He just yellow at that. I can't
do this.
Speaker 8 (07:04):
Right What do you mean it Snells Villa Day? Are
you nervous?
Speaker 6 (07:11):
In a dark corner with you? That's it? I can't
do it.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
So is it smells Villa Day?
Speaker 6 (07:19):
Wild? Just yellow at that.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
That's how he doubles out.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
What do you mean it smells Barns for the time?
Speaker 9 (07:26):
Why are you laughing?
Speaker 6 (07:27):
You got no shame of that's just wild. He just
yellow at that.
Speaker 9 (07:32):
I can't do this right, What do you mean it
smells Villa Day? Are you nervous?
Speaker 6 (07:38):
What do you mean it.
Speaker 9 (07:39):
Smells Villa Date?
Speaker 3 (07:41):
Are you nervous?
Speaker 9 (07:44):
What do you mean it snells Villa Date? Are you nervous?
Speaker 4 (07:47):
So poor Austin Barnes, he just he couldn't even get
through the intro. He tapped out like the rattle rattle, thunderclatter,
chick Courtney Cronin. He tapped out right in front of
his teammates. You did you didn't want.
Speaker 6 (08:03):
To do it?
Speaker 2 (08:04):
That was a year ago, by the way, tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
Yeah, so Austin Barnes taps out on David Vass. We'll
get Vass's comments in the very next segment. I don't
who did he end up having on pregame because it
wasn't Barnes.
Speaker 6 (08:18):
Tommy Edmund.
Speaker 3 (08:19):
He had to go get Edmund and he did the
whole It snows.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
He chuckled.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
Austin Barnes couldn't take it, dude.
Speaker 6 (08:33):
I can't do this, Rado, What do you mean it?
Speaker 9 (08:36):
Snells Villa Day, Are you nervous?
Speaker 6 (08:37):
I can't do this. You gotta go. I'll do it.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
You've gotta go.
Speaker 4 (08:46):
So got kicked out by the catcher who says radio
is dead.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Here's my number, number of the day.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Number the day is local news, and by local news,
fifteen hundred fifte hundre bucks. Here we go to the
city of Keene and to a grocery store called Monodnock. Okay,
lift free or dies not really in the food lion.
Speaker 6 (09:13):
No.
Speaker 4 (09:14):
But it's New Hampshire, so this is not local knowledge.
It's local to New Hampshire.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
This is a local news story from a local news
station in New Hampshire, the city of Keene, Cheshire County,
and a grocery store called Monodnock. Young lady apparently wants
to be a social media star. How does she become?
You know what, I'm just gonna let it run. It's
(09:39):
about a minute and a half to two minutes and
it's fantastic.
Speaker 10 (09:41):
This is a real shocker.
Speaker 6 (09:43):
Yeah, she needs some kind of help. Something I mean
nothing surprises me anymore.
Speaker 11 (09:46):
Shoppers and Keene are equally confused and disgusted after learning
about the arrest of Kelly Tedford. The twenty three year
old is now charged with felony criminal mischief, accused of
using her own urine to contaminate products at the Monodnock
co Op grocery store and posting a video of the
act online.
Speaker 10 (10:01):
That's one of those there's tons of people that shot there.
Speaker 6 (10:03):
No, no, no, that's not right.
Speaker 2 (10:05):
Keen.
Speaker 11 (10:05):
Police say they got a tip about that video on
Valentine's Day and contacted the co op. The store, writing
on its website in part, we immediately reviewed store video,
identified affected products, removed them from our shelves, and sanitized
all services. We also reached out to members risk products.
The co op is issuing a recall for several types
of Quenwa plus cornmeal, polenta, coconut shreds, and rab walnuts
(10:28):
due to contamination. Investigators say it will cost the store
more than fifteen hundred dollars.
Speaker 12 (10:34):
I can't imagine if there was somebody in there that
actually saw her do that, what they would do.
Speaker 13 (10:38):
According to police, this wasn't an isolated incident. Investigators say
they've uncovered multiple videos showing Tedford contaminating all their stores
with her urine, dating back as far as twenty twenty one.
Speaker 10 (10:49):
Oh my god, completely shocked and dismayed about what this
woman decided to do and for how long she's gotten
away with this.
Speaker 11 (10:58):
Police haven't said exactly where those of the locations are,
but noted more charges may be coming.
Speaker 10 (11:03):
And we also have a lot of people that are
trying to capitalize on the strangest things.
Speaker 11 (11:08):
Tedford was released on personal recognizance and is doing court
in April, and King Ross ketch the ball and you
are News nine.
Speaker 4 (11:16):
So is she just is she she's posted it on
social media? Is she peeing in a cup and then
pouring it on things?
Speaker 3 (11:21):
Or is she aiming?
Speaker 2 (11:23):
That's a great question. And I don't know.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
I thing to have a puzzo my energy.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
I mean, name, there's a photo, there's a there's a
mud shot that was that that that they ran no
relation to coverage Jeff Right, I don't know. She's twenty three.
I think she's probably a little young to be his daughter,
maybe a little old to be his granddaughter, and certainly
the other side of the country. But he was in
Tampa for a minute there, but that would certainly was
(11:52):
was more recent as opposed to you know, the past.
So I'm guessing no relation. Uh, that's you know, maybe
this maybe he's got a brother or sister out there
and a niece. But yes, I think I.
Speaker 9 (12:03):
Check with a bob.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
Yeah, same concern as the man, like, well, if somebody
saw this, which leads me to think it's more she's
peeing in a spray bottle and just kind of a
you know, dusting the groceries and then posting it on
Snapchat or Instagram or Twitter or whatever, and that's how
she's decided. You know what, there's a lane out there
(12:28):
that is unoccupied and I think I'm gonna drive right down, and.
Speaker 4 (12:31):
That is well, there's a lot of videos on the
Internet of people that are into watching others urinate that
being sad. Generally, it's not on something that somebody else
is going to have to eat unknowingly, right, whether or
not it's in a co op, and all those places
smell like p Anyway.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
The other thing that jumped out at me and maybe
why I decided to share a story from the other
side of the country in a small town known as
Keene Well Year.
Speaker 4 (12:59):
You are on Irving State of New Hampshire, Exeter's Show
of Record. Yes, go Wildcats, Chip Kelly's alma mater.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
It's the pace of our reporter with which he speaks.
It's so rapid. It reminded me of the edit that
David Vassa did oh way back when we've talked about
Mitch Cupshak interview.
Speaker 4 (13:22):
Yeah, Dave pulled all the space out of the interviews.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
Smith speaks so fast.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
Yeah, it sounds like you know, I mean, it sounds
like AI.
Speaker 11 (13:31):
The co op is issuing a recall for several types
of Keenewa plus corny Polenta, coconut shreds and rob walnuts
due to contamination. Investigators say it will cost the store
more than fifteen hundred dollars.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
Breath in there, it's not that much.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
He might have edited in a little tight for himself.
Speaker 4 (13:52):
Might have you know, I mean, we're talking about Keen
New Hampshire News.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
I'm a WNUR Channel nine.
Speaker 11 (13:58):
But yeah, investigators, it will cost the store more than
fifteen hundred dollars.
Speaker 4 (14:03):
There's a lot of like social media stuff of people
doing stuff at the supermarkets to others food and there
could be nothing more disgusting, right, and those people they
should they should be incarcerated forever.
Speaker 2 (14:16):
I'm with you. They don't have this on your own recognisance,
my ass.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
They don't have the day a dollar like we have.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
You know what I'm saying, It's exactly right.
Speaker 4 (14:26):
Released on our own recognisance to pee everywhere else, right, I.
Speaker 5 (14:30):
Mean energy energy.
Speaker 4 (14:40):
Think about it like this, like we had somebody here
at the station, not gonna mention it, to be fair,
it wasn't our station, I should say, somebody here.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
At thee someone in a cluster.
Speaker 4 (14:52):
Somebody in the cluster of stations which includes like twelve
stations something like that. So we had somebody here who
it was not a serial carpet pisser like uh like
Lebowski carpet pissers didn't do this, dude. It was uh no, No,
(15:12):
it was it was somebody who well, they were a.
Speaker 2 (15:16):
Serial excrement pooucer.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
A cereal poop monster who would poop.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
Randomly, not in the parking lot, yeah, in the lot,
poop in a parking garage. And I remember being told
by somebody, a very lucrative host here, that.
Speaker 4 (15:32):
You don't know, some people are just that way. They
can't help themselves.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
It's like, well, it's like jeez, it seems like the
bathroom is incredibly close to the point where the poop
was produced.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
It's just what they want to do, you know.
Speaker 4 (15:46):
It's like a thing, you know, like people poop outside
or poop somewhere they're not supposed to poop, and they
feel free.
Speaker 14 (15:51):
Maybe they just had one in time incident where they.
Speaker 3 (15:53):
Just could It was the one time.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
It was multiple times, and that's why they went to
the camera to try to solve the mystery of parking.
Speaker 4 (16:03):
You find one pile of poop, people might leave it alone,
you know what I mean. If it happens, you're gonna
hire it. Yeah, coyote, We get them all over here
at Burbank. But if you you know, happens more than
one time, they hired an investigative team, and that investigative
team pointed the finger at one well known particular national
radio host. Am I right to say, that's right to say.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
I don't think it's fair to to deal the person
radio host's identity though, But it's I think that would
be that that that that would lead to some legal complications.
I believe.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
I don't why why it happened.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
But we don't. I don't think we have access to
the video proof, and therefore that could put us in
legal jeopardy.
Speaker 4 (16:49):
But I think if we were sued in discovery, our
lawyer would find they find it that video, and then
everybody would feel the.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
Energy that video. Do you know what I'm saying, Matt,
I know what you're saying. I know what you're saying.
Speaker 4 (17:05):
You know, I wouldn't want to reveal There's a reason
I didn't reveal the Well, discretion would probably warrant us
not discussing it at all, but that at all, that
chicken that's flowing the coop, that's helped the door. But no,
I mean I I and plus Matt, you know, I'm
a nice guy. I don't want somebody, you know, taking
(17:27):
the the crap. No pun intended that would come along
with being revealed for being.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
That parking lot.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
Although it was revealed that Chris Myers was pooping in
Howie Long's dressing room at Fox in the afternoon and
just leaving.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
It in his like private bathroom, well kind of and
not flushing it. Yep, you're just gonna share that right here.
Come on, that was alleged. I mean, there was there
was a snow he wasn't doing that, but there was
a secret uh birthday, there was a secret Fox dressing room,
(18:06):
like high end dressing room pooper.
Speaker 6 (18:09):
That was it.
Speaker 4 (18:10):
For a long time, people thought it was the very
mischievous Andy Roddick, but I believe that it ended up
being Chris Myers, who was a.
Speaker 14 (18:22):
Yeah what I worked with a guy years and years ago.
Uh here at the radio station that had us all
banned from using Rick DS's bathroom?
Speaker 3 (18:32):
Was it Rick D's?
Speaker 14 (18:33):
It was Dees's bathroom and these found out people were
going into it and didn't like it. And the one
person went into it and he really didn't like it.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
Who was the one person? Is he still alive? No, figured, No,
Vic's still alive. Ronnie Bicks still alive. I know exactly
who it was, And you know what, I wouldn't like
that either.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
Joe McDonald The song of the day loaded, got a
lot of meetings right now?
Speaker 6 (19:09):
Is our song of the day?
Speaker 15 (19:10):
Yes, read between them. We've all been fired from the
Bobby Gillespie fronted Scottish band Primal Scream because today the
Petros and Money Show is fully loaded.
Speaker 6 (19:25):
For a full four.
Speaker 15 (19:26):
Hours of am or radio transmission following Dodger Baseball the stream,
come on.
Speaker 4 (19:34):
Pull it together. This was all the last. All this
stuff was the last.
Speaker 15 (19:38):
Indeed, we're great sports dog. We'll pass the baton to
mister Brian Fendley and crue talking UCLA Athletics with the
Bruins Insider show that's coming up here at seven o'clock.
Speaker 6 (19:50):
Fully loaded.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
Thank you running.
Speaker 4 (19:54):
I just remember being like, so you're telling me she
goes down there and like all slick like before she
leaves work, blows it out. Yes, you can't imagine how
some people are.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
Ernie was very upset.
Speaker 4 (20:08):
Oh yeah, regrettable time here in the building. And you know, Matt,
it was when a lot more people were circulating through
the parking lot. Here's true in those days. I mean
it was a real to do. The trying to crack
that case went on for months. Yeah, that's one of
the few cases I didn't crack that they didn't call
(20:29):
me on that one. I was a little surprised. It's like,
you don't call Frank Lloyd Ride in to write uh
to bring to build the library tower?
Speaker 6 (20:36):
What gives?
Speaker 4 (20:37):
I just solved that in a second.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
Some people just can't help themselves. It's a disease. Great believe.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
I believe we came to discover that, yes, that there
was mental disorder. Lightis or no, no, no, a mental disorder.
I know plenty of people that have that and they
find a toilet anyway, Hi, it is time to take
a break. David Vassie is next. UFC fans. An opportunity you,

Speaker 4 (21:40):
It's time Smell Zellow Day is over, but David Vase Day.
Speaker 3 (21:46):
Is still rolling.
Speaker 16 (21:48):
Live from spring training. The Home of the Dodgers is
with an inside look at the Dodgers. This is the
vass Report with David Vasse.
Speaker 4 (22:00):
David Vassy is our guest, live and camel Back Ranch
in Arizona.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
The Dodgers lose another one. I don't think it matters,
Maybe it does. It smells Villa day.
Speaker 4 (22:08):
Yeah, so upsetting to Austin Barnes and he tapped out
on an interview. We played that sound for the word
of the day. Joining us right now, our hero David
Vassy on your Southern California Dealer Celebrity Toyota Dealer Celebrity Hotline.
He is our Dodger reporter Spectrum Sportsnet at MLBtv, but
(22:29):
he's our guy right here on AMI seventy LA Sports.
What's cracking, Dave. Happy Smell's Villa Day.
Speaker 17 (22:35):
Hey, Happy Snell's Villa Day. To you guys. It was
fun to be there to see Snell in a Dodger
uniform in a real game against his hometown Seattle Mariners,
and look, thirty pitches in an inning is not great,
no doubt about it. But there were different variables that
went into that first inning. The first part was the
(22:57):
fact that he was O two to all four of
the hitters that he faced. He just didn't have his
curveball today, and that's understandable. Talking to pictures throughout the
years of spring training, the number one emphasis is having
the fastball, having the fastball command, and later in spring
the secondary pitches you get a feel for, and that's
(23:18):
the way Snell felt today. Here's what he told us
after the game as far as what he took away
from it.
Speaker 18 (23:23):
Yeah, fastball was ahead of Oh, I want to honestly
vlow wise how it's coming out. So I'm pretty happy
with it. Ninety six in spring first game, and I
just felt connected and feel like I was trying to overthrow.
I was really happy with where it's.
Speaker 17 (23:41):
Hat Here's another variable of today. If you watch Blake
Snell pitch the last few years, ever since the PitchCom
came into play, he's one of those pitchers that has
the PitchCom on his belt and he calls the pitches.
If you were watching today's game, you would notice that
he did not have that today for whatever reason, maybe miscommunication,
(24:05):
maybe it wasn't available. So you know, there's different things
to go into spring games that are just at the
disposal of players during a major league game.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
How many people do that, Dave, is that rare? Or
catcher's cool with that, or the Dodgers cool with that.
I mean, obviously guys went too cy young, So he's
one of the few that you'd probably feel alright with that.
Speaker 17 (24:26):
Yeah, I don't remember seeing too many guys do it, Matt,
and the ones that do are the caliber of Blake Snell.
At the end of the day, even Dave Roberts said
that this morning, where he hasn't, he's been enlightened to
the fact that Blake Snell's baseball IQ is one of
the highest he's seen from a star pitcher, a guy
that puts in a lot of work for the scouting report.
(24:47):
So that's what makes his past teams, in particular Bob
Melvin being his manager in San Diego and with the
Giants last year, trust that he's able to be that guy.
Speaker 4 (25:00):
One and only David Vasse is our guest on snell
Zilla Day, but it was also Roki Sasaki Day, or
excuse me, Otani Day.
Speaker 3 (25:11):
He had a bullpenyer with all.
Speaker 17 (25:12):
Of the above, Petros, all of the above.
Speaker 4 (25:15):
So everybody was on the backfields, all though Japanese pitchers.
Speaker 3 (25:18):
How did it?
Speaker 17 (25:18):
Go Otani pitched in a bullpen session and again was
experimenting with pitching out of the wind up, and my
understanding is he was throwing different fastballs, no breaking balls yet,
a cut fastball, a two seam fastball, a four seam fastball,
and the way that you differentiate those is just by
(25:41):
the pitch grip on the baseball. So he's not doing
any torque as far as throwing breaking balls just yet
in these bullpen sessions. And it's going to be an
ongoing monitoring situation with Otani whether or not he does
commit himself to pitching out of the wind up when
there aren't runners on base. As I mentioned the other day,
(26:02):
the reason why I'm bringing that up is because with
the Angels when he was pitching, he pitched exclusively out
of the stretch. And then, like you mentioned, Metros, not
only did we have Blake Snell making his first start
with the Dodgers, we had Otani throwing his fourth bullpen session,
and then we had Roki Sazaki at eleven am Arizona
(26:26):
time facing minor leaguers from the White Sox. And you know,
you hear about the eye test. My eye test said
that Roki Sazaki was really ordinary today, and the eye
test from other players that were watching were was very ordinary.
But Dave Roberts said he was fine, So it's a
(26:48):
I guess it's a work in progress. The Dodgers have
been very upfront with the fact that it's not just
about this year with Roki, but it's more about a
six year plan are.
Speaker 4 (26:58):
To play him in. With the way he's performing so far, Dave,
it feels like maybe not.
Speaker 17 (27:04):
I think that's a big question mark, And I don't
feel like Dave Roberts has really committed himself to say
that Sazaki is starting that second game. He said he's
planning when camp start to have him pitch in Japan.
Whether that be in the exhibition games or the second
game still has not been announced. But yeah, I would
(27:26):
say that's in question Petros, because he just doesn't seem
confident on the mound right now. And I really do believe,
like Yamamoto last year, he's just getting accustomed to his
new surroundings and trying to feel comfortable around all these
other players in a new team, new environment. All of that.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
I'm thinking back to twenty eighteen Dave and Shohail Tani
with the Angels in spring training, and I remember there
was like some game he gave up like eight runs
in Anian and we were all piling on Vic like
you fool, you fool, Yeah, do you think there is
something rug?
Speaker 3 (28:06):
They?
Speaker 2 (28:06):
Do you think there is something to that? Transition that
because I'm right and remembering that right, like Otani did
not have a good spring training with the Angels. I
feel like when he first came over, right.
Speaker 17 (28:17):
Without a doubt, everybody said, this guy's a bust. What's
the hype ball about? It was a horrendous spring training,
and then all of a sudden, he made subtle adjustments
with his hitting, with his hitching, and he turned it
into the best player in the game. And I know
what you're getting at. I agree that's part of this
with Roki Sazaki, But in the more immediate past, it
(28:38):
was Yoshi Yamamoto that was going through this last year.
And I got to tell you watching Yamamoto's bullpen yesterday
and just seen him around camp, He's got a swagger
about him and a confidence about him that I never
saw him till October last year. So I feel like
the success Yamamoto had in October has really given him
(29:00):
the confidence and swagger and really mount confidence that I've
seen so far. And he's going to pitch tomorrow. But
I think him he's a great example of the fact
that an accomplished, more decorated pitcher in Japan still needed
a full year to feel, you know, well well acclimated
(29:20):
to major League baseball, Dave.
Speaker 4 (29:22):
Yesterday when we talked, you were right in the middle
of the game and a good year, I think, and
you said you were going to get out and talk
to Gavin Lux after the game with the reds Now.
Speaker 3 (29:32):
Were you able to do that?
Speaker 17 (29:34):
I was. And it's the first time I've spoken to
Gavin Luck since he was traded. And now that he's
in the middle of a new spring training with a
new team, a new position, playing at third base, with
a new manager in Terry Francona, I asked him what
was the reaction when he got traded after spending his
entire professional career with one organization.
Speaker 7 (29:57):
After the signing, you know, I kind of like, you're like, oh, okay,
maybe there's a chance. And you know, obviously you still
don't really expect it after being in one place for
so long, but you know, at the same time, like
you keep saying, it is a business and you got
to do it's best what they think is best for them,
And you know, I think they did me a solid
by sending me to a place that you know, has
the expectation of winning. Still on, Tito's running the show,
which is fantastic. He's one of the most well respected
(30:20):
managers in the game for a reason, So you know,
I think they they did me a favor also by
sending me to a place where you know, I think
that they think where I can help.
Speaker 17 (30:30):
Yeah, and pet Trowse some money who he was talking
about the signing when they signed High Sun Kim. That
kind of put him on red alert that he may
be traded.
Speaker 3 (30:40):
But Kim's a mess at the plate right He.
Speaker 17 (30:43):
Is a mess. Got a big lake kick, can't catch
up to a fastball. He's making a he he needs
to adjust quick No.
Speaker 2 (30:53):

or is that just Rich Paul with an Ai voice?
That was some serious fake news. You guys are letting
that kind of Russian style crap on is a letdown.
Speaker 19 (32:30):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (32:32):
Look, I mean, I get that Booja didn't have the
nicest things to say about some of our hot takes,
but I mean, that's that's kind of harsh.
Speaker 14 (32:42):
How do you go after Bouja and the Lakers are
red hot and a championship level team, right, now and
could make a run for another championship this year, and
yet we want to hate on the Lakers. It's one
thing to pile on when they're down, but with actually winning,
you gotta give them their fresh flowers, right.
Speaker 3 (32:56):
I guess.
Speaker 4 (32:58):
I know this is a tall order, But can Matt
make a they them energy and black and Indigenous people
of color mashup? If he could get Papa roach over,
I'm confident he can do anything.

l A.
Speaker 3 (33:58):

Speaker 19 (34:05):
Well the place in this world.
Speaker 6 (34:11):
I don't get it.
Speaker 14 (34:11):
It's not like they're four and fourteen and he's trying
to defend them.
Speaker 4 (34:15):
They don't want to hear that. They don't want to
hear that Lebron James ball washing. People don't want to
hear it. Pe I was buzzing on that day, them energy,
and then you guys dropped that Bouja bs on us.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
My god, I don't know. I didn't know.
Speaker 4 (34:29):

beaten your cheeks into.
Speaker 12 (34:34):
Submission energy Energy, energy.
Speaker 4 (34:47):
To the Gulag with both of you and Matt. That
last interview with Buja subjects you to five hundred day
them energies. We played at least that many, Sir. I mean,
it's not our fault.
Speaker 14 (34:57):
You have brainwashed the people.
Speaker 4 (35:00):
Listen to this, dude, look at this, Who's next? Who's
your next? Keeping it real? Guests coming into talk Lebron Rodney, Pete.

is on, and people will text you all the time.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
I can't listen to this anymore.
Speaker 3 (35:52):
Petros told me what it's done. You're right now. They
want more.
Speaker 4 (35:57):
Very polarizing, and I did not think that the ash
up would work, but it did that they them energy.
