Speaker 2 (00:47):
Well, the dude is taking a sip out of a
tall boy model. He's got a tall boy yeah yeah,

It's a Nissan Ultima and uh oh.
Speaker 5 (00:57):
They're calling out tall boy. There is that our guy
Glenn Walker Channel five?
Speaker 2 (01:00):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Is he talking?
Speaker 6 (01:02):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (01:03):
So he's cracked his door. Yeah, he's sucking down the
passengers seat by the way. There's a hell of a
pit by the.
Speaker 5 (01:11):
Way, and this guy's got a kind of a belly there, Matt,
did he get over from the driver's seat with that boiler?
Speaker 4 (01:17):
You're definitely talking.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Oh, that's a great point because you can't get out
the other side because they pinned him against a brick wall. Yeah,
so that's a good call, right, that's a good call.
So here he comes, smoke a little bit, took a
took a pull off a heater and he's incredulous, looks
like a Yankee, cap am I right on that front.
Speaker 5 (01:39):
Couldn't be a Dodger fan. No, we never see anybody
arrested and a Dodger. Oh yeah, Now, he's just he
put that heater back in his mouth.
Speaker 4 (01:46):
They may have him walked back, they're going to.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Have he's getting getting down on one knee, but that
the heaters in his mouth is in.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
The vehicle, especially if they're going to make an approach
on him.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
There, he's got his hands behind his back to the handcuff.
But then he pulls him back to his mouth, taking
he's got to pull his pants up there we go.
Oh nice, Kelly leak. Just discarded that a little flick
of a cigarette.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
It looks like there's a nice nursery right there. Matt
over to the laugh.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
They're gonna make it exactly right.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Yeah, that is a nursery.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
Clear anybody out of there.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
If that is not cheap, invent anybody in there.
Speaker 4 (02:18):
It seems like they're pretty confident there's no one now.
Speaker 5 (02:21):
Spread eagle, full spread eagle. Looks like he's wearing some
Nike airs. Yeah, because no one ever gets arrested wearing
Vans or a Dodgers at never.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
Never.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
All black, by the way, head to toe.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
It's gotta be hot on that hot pavement clothes.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
I meant, by the way.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
Wow, here we go. Finally they're moving in. They're gonna
check the car, all right. Have they put hands on
him yet?
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Uh, I'm checking the car right now. We got we've
got a gun trained on his head. Suspect balls his
bee hole. Now you can say at this point he
is officially in custody.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
Buckwheats.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
That's what it looked like. But I think it was
that bean bag gun that they had pointed at is.
Speaker 4 (03:04):
Uh, they're going to clear the car and the trunk
that standard rolling.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
A box out.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
I want to pull that tall boy out to start
the show again. Exactly everything, Thank you, Ronnie.
Speaker 5 (03:21):
It is impossible for a man to learn what he thinks.
He already knows.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
That trust in Money five seventy Sports Lab Everywhere on
the iHeartRadio app started exactly at three o'clock. No surprise,
ut sidetracked a little bit by the end of a
hell of a pursuit that we missed. The guy was
able to evade the Pittman over three or four times
with a little bit of a juke step.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
Beautiful ultima. You know, it's not like that clunky stolen
work van that was being pursued in Santa Monica.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
The other day.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Provided us with quite a bit of entertainment.
Speaker 5 (04:04):
Yeah, wild scene, but a dangerous scene as well. Yes, uh,
but we had that pursuit and we had a remote
earlier with Rogan and Rodney were at Crony's. So if
you're driving from Crony's feeding a little Sudsey, we're here
for you. On The Pettersen Money Show Live, we got
(04:24):
Dodgers versus Detroit. Later Dodgers on Deck at six matt night,
will be on for three hours. It's Yamamoto versus Flahty,
great sports talk on a Frogman Friday. Friday, Krogman, Frogman
your ocean.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
I'll take the links.
Speaker 5 (04:51):
For those of us that live here on the coast.
We embrace the sea on a Frogman Friday and thank
those that protect us from it.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
Dog Man.
Speaker 5 (05:01):
Lifeguards, Coast Guards, Underwater demolition jud boys from.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
The ten Aavy rop and known as Rock ten. Yes,
thank you, sir.
Speaker 5 (05:15):
We of course honor the great Mike Nelson every Friday,
the patron Saint of Frogman Friday on the Patrons of
Money show Mike Nelson, a character played by Lloyd Bridges
and one of the greatest television shows ever produced. Off
the coast of Ranchils, Collisbertes Seahawk.
Speaker 7 (05:32):
And the Coveny San Diego. We were giving the Midget
sub a real workout. Bill was developing it to sell.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
Of the Navy.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
He'd done a good job with.
Speaker 7 (05:39):
Its silent electric motor. It could carry two men equipped
with diving lungs about fifteen miles at a fair speed.
It still had some flaws. The doors designed for quick
escape and emergencies were sometimes opened by changes and pressure,
and the controls weren't perfect. Yet I enjoyed helping Bill,
especially as I could see the value of the small
craft for surprise attacks and secret missions, not that I
(06:03):
intended to go on any and I figured those days
were in the past for me. I thought that we
were testing this sub secretly, but I was mistaken.
Speaker 5 (06:11):
Dodger Dynamic Duo, Friends of the Show, Todd Lights and Peter.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
Two five, What are you nuts? We still got to
take that, Lord of Man. You know what that's like.
These days.
Speaker 5 (06:23):
You got the Navy everywhere, you got frogmen, you got
the EC twos with the satellite tracking, you got the
Bell two nine assault choppers up the ass.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
We're losing one out of every nine loads.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
That's no dunk walk anymore.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
Let me tell you, forget about money. What do you
suggest that's reasonable?
Speaker 5 (06:43):
Peter Room, Yes, the Dodgers will be embraced here tonight
(07:40):
and forever on your Dodger station, the whole gambit. Tim
Kates with Morongo Casino, Dodgers on deck, the game every moment,
David Vassy with the Clubhouse Show and Dodger Talk, and
deep into the evening and into your weekend. We are
grateful to have the Dodgers for you. Clipper heads and
(08:03):
UNBA types, Matt, there is the Clipper game on the
Super American, Yes eleven fifty.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
AM eleven fifty is where you will likely hear Clipper
games moving forward, at least as far as we can tell,
for the rest of the regular season. Not so sure
about the playoffs, but AM eleven to fifty will have
Clippers be nets. Theyre playing great basketball. Nine of eleven.
I think THEYD one tip off at four thirty. They're
out of the playoff or play in, and now into
the playoff as the sixth seed as it stands right now,
(08:31):
tip off at four to thirty out of Oslin in
about thirty minutes or twenty minutes. If you're into that
sort of thing in our sister.
Speaker 5 (08:38):
Station, yeah, and if you're into this sort of thing
where we talk about what it's like in the AM
five seventy suite for the game, and what it was
like under Don Martin, our old boss, which was kind
of like, I don't know, a cast system type of deal,
where what are the Brahmas?
Speaker 2 (08:56):
You know, we were the untouchables, right, I.
Speaker 5 (08:59):
Mean well, I mean we were, I mean we made
the cut, But yesterday I heard it was like a breadline,
like everybody was up in there.
Speaker 3 (09:07):
Is there any report on that cakes?
Speaker 2 (09:09):
It was like a well, you guys were there too
for the first couple And when I threw down a wrap,
a bunch of celery, some chili spiced mango.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
We did take some We did take some inventory on
all that celery. You ate mad? How about the ninety barbecue?
We did have the.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
Yeah, with the in the bucket with the fries Korean
barbecue on top, so the sauce seeped onto the crinkle
fries solamon items.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
Yeah, that was h It was a good time.
Speaker 8 (09:41):
Do you guys have a problem with the fact that
everybody was picking at that chicken and fries?
Speaker 3 (09:45):
I saw multiple people first we went first, exactly, we
went like the Bramas.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
That's true.
Speaker 8 (09:50):
By the time I got to people were using their
hands and picking like chicken out of there, and I
was like, this is gross.
Speaker 5 (09:56):
Well, you know, people have a few drinks, they get hungry,
they lose some of their inhibition, their judgment change. Is
nothing wrong with that. Baseball here opening weekend is probably Hollywood. Hey,
it's baseball, Shut up the Hollywood pantagious. Their new season
is a home run get a seven show package at
Broadway in Hollywood dot Com. Now, I don't want to
(10:19):
make a huge diversion from baseball, as baseball is a
huge part.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
I mean, just we only have one hundred and fifty
nine more of these, Okay, I know, I know.
Speaker 5 (10:31):
And we were out there yesterday for a full three
hour extravaganza. It was awesome, showing everybody love. There's a
few things I would have done differently had I known
a few things, But overall, I think the vibe of
the show carried the day and the side of a
buddy baseball here, drag what hot of a buddy baseball?
Speaker 2 (10:55):
Here? Put on channel four?
Speaker 3 (10:58):
What do we have now?
Speaker 2 (10:58):
Channel four? We got to work truck that was stolen.
I mean it's you manifested a pee, you spoke it
into existence.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
All right, let's go.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
Look we got a flatbed. That's a big bed too, Yeah,
flatbed too. It's removable gate flat bed, the wood siding. Yes,
he is flying and it looks like some of the
gates are already gone. There's about three panels still.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
At this point, we believe it's just the driver.
Speaker 5 (11:22):
Unknown circumstances where we Pico rivera Yeah, telegraph and oh
you could stop at the dal ray from what have we? Gottuary, Whittier,
Santa Fe Springs exactly how it is that somebody throwing
something at him?
Speaker 3 (11:35):
He's in Pico Rivera, he's on Wittier.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
Telegraph Road, he's under an overpass and.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
He comes out the other side of trip. You're going
to get a chance, but this might al forgive me
a chance to look at that.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
What's in the back there? Mad? Is that just a tarp?
Speaker 2 (11:51):
I think so? Well, no, there's something strapped to one
of those.
Speaker 3 (11:54):
Gates, or a giant plastic burrito.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
Oh, he's got another freeway here we go, I would
assume so five maybe so not.
Speaker 5 (12:01):
Everybody knows how these these vehicles are a little bit
more intense to drive, right, regular cars.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
So it's just longer. I mean it's a dodgy ram. Yeah,
it's just a dodger ram.
Speaker 3 (12:11):
Pig up cars and then lead officers on a pursuit.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
Like this, good eyes on that pee with the ram.
Speaker 4 (12:16):
Not an easy car to drive. And it's also no
under what circumstances he was able to.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
Well you don't have a truck expert, but no, that's
right to school. Yeah, it's just like six oh five.
Speaker 4 (12:25):
Yeah, yeah, area.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
You know he's around the harbor because you see all
the big rigs.
Speaker 4 (12:30):
Yeah, exactly where he's got.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
But I know, we've got a bad angle on this copter.
Speaker 7 (12:34):
Here.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
What are we doing?
Speaker 5 (12:35):
Well, because we're about the wall, we're monitoring this and
this is amateur hour Channel four right.
Speaker 9 (12:40):
A few minutes ago I was doing.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
That's what I'm'm gonna check too. HEREF two's got here,
we go to go to two. We got angle, we
got a better angle, are wittier, it's weak and so.
Speaker 5 (12:52):
All right, Channel two and Channel nine are the same.
That means we could get Pat Harvey. But it's a
little early in the day.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
You know what he's doing now, Pete, he's on the
old yeah for long Papadeka's usc PA riding dirty movie.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
Well look, you know, I.
Speaker 5 (13:05):
Mean if he's got to get to a PA event,
I don't know if he's doing a PA event in
Paramount High or something like that.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
In what world do we have a stolen work truck
vehicle mirror five ten minutes after you said, hey, that's
a nice ultimate, it's not a stolen work truck. Well,
we had a stolen almost like you encourage this guy
to steal a work truck to provide entertainment form.
Speaker 5 (13:24):
That wasn't my violent rhetoric that caused that. I think
it was what does it say on the side. It's
a great question.
Speaker 4 (13:31):
I'm overhead. We haven't heard.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
It looks like I'm like a sweet day glow landscaping.
I guess landscaping escaping. Well, here we go, assuming on
that channel too.
Speaker 4 (13:43):
Behind them right now they're following.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
That's a real nice gradient paint job. He's in the
he's in the carpool in and by the way, that's
going to be an extra fine because he is not
he does not have an extra passenter six five norms
over so that is minimum fine three hundred and forty
one bucks.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
Chritz, Are is he still behind that piano moving truck?
Speaker 4 (14:00):
Stolen work truck? We'll see if we can get the
Here we go at some point, but you can see
just the one person there in the car.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
This thing ends at the two ten six o five
will come to an end for sure, and he is
going to get caught up. It's gonna it's gonna bottle
neck here no matter which way he goes on that
two ten could he.
Speaker 5 (14:17):
Get back on the shoulder. Oh, it looks like he's
got along like a quarter zip on, Matt. It's like
a tier quarter zip or a white sweatshirt.
Speaker 4 (14:26):
Just let me know it is.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
That's a good call.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
What we're trying to get? How how long this has
been going on? Probably about fifteen or twenty minutes?
Speaker 2 (14:32):
Okay, so maybe you would maybe you just felt it
in the etheropy. You felt the stolen work truck out there.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
I didn't know, Matt readjust the camera here.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
So oh, there we go. That's a good readjustment on
the camera.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
That's terrible.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
Take this opportunity to double it. There we go.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
Well, I know what his license number is, California one
one nine, one two, Department of Transportation one two three
one four eight six. There we go.
Speaker 4 (14:55):
Here we go, tap tapio, tapio Auto and truck wrecking.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
Okay, oh, why we go?
Speaker 2 (15:02):
It's like truck salvage, by the way, MVP effort here
a little bit from this helicopter crew.
Speaker 4 (15:07):
A truck wrecking business. So you know, there are definitely
some businesses.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
Like I tell you, the truck's about to get wrecked of.
Speaker 4 (15:13):
The industrial part.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
So it looks like splitting to go to ten East
is the direction he's.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
Going to be going out of San Diego. Man, it's
a San Diego company.
Speaker 2 (15:22):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (15:23):
I did hear some talk about that they were having
trouble with the tire earlier as well. So if that
rear one goes, I mean, yeah, that.
Speaker 5 (15:29):
Rear tire looks bad. But it's also a duley back there, Matt.
Speaker 3 (15:33):
Is that right?
Speaker 2 (15:33):
I didn't notice he's got two back there.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
I believe he's got four tires back that big bed.
Speaker 4 (15:38):
Which was super congested.
Speaker 9 (15:40):
He is.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
He is weaving that thing like a sports cars, not
like a flipping dooley. Okay, Oh, he's going to try
to get This is good. That's this is good. Get
off the freeway with your boulevard. Let's do some street driving.
Let's do some city street driving.
Speaker 4 (15:52):
Well that's dangerous vehicle.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
That's just a little more exciting.
Speaker 4 (15:55):
You know, Uh, gonna be too keen on doing that.
You know, even if they could, if.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
We knew we're viclar, you could be heading there. It
could be zendo.
Speaker 3 (16:02):
You know, well, I know one guy that's not going
to be invited vehicle.
Speaker 4 (16:06):
But it's really obviously after the suspect and how crazy.
They want to get at this.
Speaker 3 (16:09):
Paint and everybody else.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Oh, look at him take that turn. He got a
little squirrely, little squirrely on the turn, little right.
Speaker 4 (16:15):
Turn eastbound boulevard here.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Oh wow, he's hammering that gas.
Speaker 5 (16:20):
I was just in Whittier, man, I was in California,
high for Fletcher's baseball.
Speaker 9 (16:25):
Not pursuing it, not actively.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
Almost ahead on almost.
Speaker 9 (16:29):
Oh, he's posing a great risk, as you can see,
almost coming.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
Tapio truck rackets taking it.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
Literally, that was a real showdown between that ram and
that f one fifty, A real game of chicken there.
Speaker 5 (16:41):
I wonder what it would be the same outcome if
the Dodge brothers were behind the wheel, oh, in their
derbies fourteen.
Speaker 9 (16:47):
Forward and driving at high speeds like you said, right
now eastbound on Whittier Boulevard. So I don't know if that's.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
Wittier and Norwalk Norwalk. I'm now Whittier and VICKI drive
sixty miles an hour. This is no good.
Speaker 4 (17:01):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
I said it was great that he was right.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
Now you're right.
Speaker 5 (17:04):
It's more excited, there's no doubt. But you know, I mean,
what are we rooting for? We already got the work,
drunk out there fighting down Warren.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
Grime, driving by the prestigious travel in. It's like a
lovely establishment.
Speaker 9 (17:15):
Don't want anyone on the ground to be heard. Any pedestrians,
can I read hourly?
Speaker 3 (17:20):
No man, not in Wittier.
Speaker 9 (17:22):
You know, traffic will get heavier as some.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
People from Caleb's Cookies and their aprons giving him a
wave as he passed by as well.
Speaker 4 (17:30):
Wittier is an old community on winter are now the
wrong side of the road as well. And this is
kind of crazy. Mean, look you so both doing it
for no kind of Oh there we go. Laped is
now back re engaged. So it looks like they may
actively be I was at.
Speaker 5 (17:41):
That drive through Starbucks on Saturday. Come on back on Sunday,
right there, brother by Wittier and Hadley.
Speaker 4 (17:48):
Yeah, we should just get look at that in pursuit.
Maybe that's what they're Would you.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
Get one of them fancy matcha teas?
Speaker 3 (17:53):
Yeah? You know these commanders right by birds are us.
I remember that what.
Speaker 4 (17:58):
They're going to do about this, And you know, at
some point, like I feel.
Speaker 3 (18:02):
Like what if then came out with like the bow
staff down the truck.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
Alone, just through it, right through the center President like
that either. So it's such a right through the grill
tight wire act for the authorities when it comes to
these pursuits. You're right, we haven't heard about anything violent.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
Right through an intersection. Neighborhoods, change in street, beautiful green
belt here though, and that's uh, you know that's the
city that maintains that parkway in the Yeah, we have
one here. There's an arborous real nice job suspects learn beautiful. Well,
if I just drive craze on the wrong side of
the road, they'll let me go. So, like I said,
always always really tough for these authorities. But yeah, with
your boulevard here and yeah, a super major street.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
And Philadelphia Street, super.
Speaker 4 (18:44):
Fairly complicated intersection as well.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
Here we go anticipation, sell us tease that.
Speaker 4 (18:49):
But busy street here and definitely a busy time, one
of the busiest times of the week Friday.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
We can't pit this thing.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
I mean, I don't know. I don't think you can
pit it. I think you can spike strip it. But
like said, if you got duley action going, so you're
gonna have to pop both those tires in the back.
Speaker 4 (19:04):
The lights of sirens or a helicopter overhead and realized,
was I right about that dooly act?
Speaker 2 (19:08):
Yeah, you were absolutely right.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
You're on.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
You're on with the ram on only at this into
the neighborhood. One thing I appreciate is he does have
the hazards I.
Speaker 4 (19:16):
Was talking about.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
Yeah, let people know I'm a hazard.
Speaker 3 (19:18):
You know there's going on here, guys of onto Washington.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
And again getting squirrely with that turn in this work truck.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
The streets ends there at Whittier Boulevard.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
I don't know if you're aware, but uggs are available
now at discount sry Warehouse.
Speaker 4 (19:30):
DSWA in the window, the wheel there in the back
and it definitely looks loose like it could come off
at any mom.
Speaker 9 (19:37):
Yeah, but it's a dooley, definitely wobbling, and of course
that's such a concern.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
Whoa onto the median almost ahead on collision.
Speaker 4 (19:46):
Just over the center. Holy hell, that could deth.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
This is insane, even this is this is incredibly insane
right now going on here, she is riding the center
divider back and forth, forth and back, and oh.
Speaker 9 (20:01):
Man, he's as now we're seeing desperation. Does this guy
obviously knows now he's being pursued.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
And he's yes, sixty miles an hour. That looks like
a retirement shuttle. Those old people are freaking out. Oh
somebody in the middle of the street there that he's got.
Speaker 3 (20:14):
Some unbelievable center dividering.
Speaker 4 (20:17):
Yeah he is again.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
Oh this is no boy.
Speaker 5 (20:18):
No, I haven't seen center divider ing like that since
Romain Grosshan was in the floe got off.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
Yeah, he's wrong side of the road with a cement
median between he and the other side of the road.
He took out the front of a compack o. Thank
god he didn't key bone that thing.
Speaker 4 (20:36):
It's a good thing it wasn't one second later, or
he would have t boned and seriously entered someone in
that vehicle.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
That was bad. T bone call back.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
Yeah, that was damn close.
Speaker 5 (20:47):
You know, I'm too late to get real time t bob. Shoot,
I'm sorry going out to my rials.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
He was just wiped that guy's nose on my side.
Speaker 2 (20:54):
And by the way, that's a ten thousand dollars fine
in the NFL this year.
Speaker 4 (20:58):
The wipe who knows ridiculous behavior up here just did it. Fearless.
Speaker 2 (21:02):
No over the over the median again. On to the
wrong side of the road, hit back onto the right
side of the road at the shell gas station. Price
is a little high, but if you get the car wash,
you get a discount per gallon.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
A lot of smoke shops, lot of them.
Speaker 4 (21:13):
You see LAPD They still have their health.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
That helicopter freaky a two kates. I thought that was
a car and he was about to t bone. It
was just the police cop there. Yeah, you and me
both we.
Speaker 3 (21:21):
Both flinned because there why it's not going to hit you.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
It's just the way it looked at it.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
Weird.
Speaker 2 (21:28):
Oh god, he almost lost control into a gas station.
That whole thing would have exploded.
Speaker 4 (21:32):
Extremely nerve wracking.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
Here, so that wrong side of the road again, another
quick and almost took off the front of a polestar.
Speaker 4 (21:41):
Just fiddling with your radio or something, and here comes
this peg and same.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
I thought that went out of business.
Speaker 6 (21:46):
Me too.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
Oh you see the homeless encampment that was on fire,
so I did. There's impressive.
Speaker 4 (21:50):
A lot of units posted around, just like to escape
from LA This is. This is a pretty scary one.
Here is we're going underneath the six o five going
to cross the San Gabriel Road.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
That's a big over passing ten lane over underpass. Oh
now he's getting back on the freeway, gonna go six
oh five south.
Speaker 4 (22:05):
Now you know, I'm not sure.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
Oh my god, he is absolutely going to side swipe.
But he's got to side swipe somebody here.
Speaker 4 (22:14):
About six now from Washington Boulevard. This is going to
be a pretty congestion.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
He's gonna hop the median.
Speaker 4 (22:20):
He squeezed through the fire and he is just riding
that merge lane.
Speaker 9 (22:24):
From the on ramp. It's getting congested up.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
This guy knows how to get skinny.
Speaker 3 (22:29):
Yeah, this is city driving piece.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
I mean he can get skinny.
Speaker 3 (22:32):
You gotta be able to get skinny on the kickoff
return and get through the little wow to the median.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
Almost that was from the merged lane to the carpool
lane inside of fifty feet.
Speaker 5 (22:42):
Not since Plenty Eastwood and Charlie Sheed's great top movie
The Rookie have I seen such reckless driving.
Speaker 9 (22:51):
Injuring a completely innocent driver. So definitely the wipe.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
That nose, he wipes his meet. Bet driver had some cleanux.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
You had white really man to the public right now.
Speaker 2 (23:04):
You know what we don't need earlier because live is
totally fine, tab totally fine.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
It has been lapd up to this point, and I
think it's just been a good thing.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
Is back on the freeway, because man, that was gnarly.
I got nervous there. I was rooting for right, I
got nervous there when he was on the wrong side
of the road doing seventy miles an hour.
Speaker 3 (23:27):
Guys, it's late in the day and we haven't been
on the court yet.
Speaker 4 (23:31):
Kind of detour that we just saw through the Wittier area.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
But so he's just driving the carpool six O five
south right now.
Speaker 3 (23:38):
There's just going back over where it was from.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
Then back a lot uh near what would have been
a hell of an NFL stadium in Walnut.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
Theon if you have someone driving you know, really crazy
ross there just kind of yes, well, you know, we
we did still a lot of suit. So I don't know,
you guys happy.
Speaker 2 (23:59):
He's gonna have to make it decision because the traffics
getting worse. Oh yeah, it's going to shut down here.
As soon as you kind of get to the ten
gets back, it shuts down. It is just super slow.
Carpool included gauge.
Speaker 3 (24:11):
What about us?
Speaker 8 (24:11):
Kate ed Roski is still a live eighty seven years
old way to go ahead kind of mustling.
Speaker 4 (24:15):
They're mustling their way through the way they were earlier.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
Yeah, no, look, I mean and if ed goes by
the way, that's on pe. He brought him up.
Speaker 4 (24:21):
Yep, not too much that the suspect.
Speaker 3 (24:24):
You brought up.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
Listen, you brought up Rosky.
Speaker 4 (24:28):
He is pretty constructed.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
That was eighty seven. If he goes in the next month,
it's on you, not me, is on you.
Speaker 6 (24:35):
You know.
Speaker 4 (24:35):
There's there's no centerative vider space for them to squeeze
through here either.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
But this guy sounds a little bit like Chris and
Carlo again.
Speaker 4 (24:43):
Before we came to air, they.
Speaker 3 (24:44):
Oh this gugwork. It's not Gil Levis through commerce.
Speaker 4 (24:47):
Off the ere. I don't know who's in the copter
for Kkels have held up.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
He's not bad.
Speaker 4 (24:52):
They have great what we saw.
Speaker 2 (24:54):
We do have to take a break on the claims
standing by.
Speaker 4 (24:56):
Fifty miles an hour.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
I know it's just a real truck case. This is
a work truck with.
Speaker 4 (25:01):
Three gates a vehicle go without.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
Is he on the clipper game today?
Speaker 6 (25:06):
No?
Speaker 3 (25:06):
Okay, should we take a break?
Speaker 4 (25:08):
Three or four teen?
Speaker 2 (25:09):
I mean, he's got a monster truck with like smoke
stacks that is not going to let him get by.
And this is a real showdown of straight American truck power.
Don't let him pass, dude, this guy will not let
you pass. He's got freaking smoke stacks on that pickup truck,
so you know he does not allowed. He's not going
to allow the work truck to pass. He doesn't realize
(25:29):
what he's got behind.
Speaker 3 (25:30):
That's a real smoke stack.
Speaker 9 (25:31):
Likely he doesn't have a median to cross over going
into opposing traffic. He's kind of stuck in that one
carpool lane's right and there's not much space.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
We try to take a break while he's back.
Speaker 2 (25:42):
I just want to see if he's going to get
frustrated here.
Speaker 9 (25:45):
And it looks like that lapd unit is continuing to
follow him from a safety.
Speaker 2 (25:50):
And this guy's really giving him the business by slowing
down and keeping the distance between me and the next car.
At this point, he's like, hey, I'm a pin. You
intal you that he knows.
Speaker 3 (25:59):
There's a chair cert he's just smoke stack Lightning.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
Oh don't move over, smoked sack. Lightning's gonna let him
buy now. I thought for sure there was gonna be
a smoke stack showdown.
Speaker 4 (26:08):
And then you know from the air as well, and
you know traffic is at least I mean, even though
it's congested, it seems to be moving in.
Speaker 2 (26:15):
But we do have to take a break with our partners.
Speaker 4 (26:17):
Keeping this suspect satisfied to not do what we saw on.
Speaker 3 (26:22):
All right, we'll be right back with Don McLain.
Speaker 4 (26:25):
Believe that this did not end in a head off
with us or a t bone. I mean, gosh, you know,
I don't think this is well. They went to commercial.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
Something bad might have happened. Channel to just dipped out. Yeah,
something bad might have just happened. Well, they got the
NCAA tournament coming up. Pregame, We got to go over
to channel nine. Work four. Now go over to nine
nine four, still going for still going. Nine's got it
Guyne's good too.
Speaker 3 (26:51):
Dipped out.
Speaker 5 (26:51):
They got it on nine right there we go. All right,
we're in good shape. We're gonna watch this chase. We'll
monitor it for you to don't worry.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
We'll make sure Donna Clane puts it on as well.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
Yeah, he's gonna put it up.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
Dodgers at six, No bueno, he's headed toward Long Beach State.
He's come to the end of the six oh five.
He's on the twenty two Studi Baker brother and he
is gonna drive underneath Studebaker right now and hit up
(27:35):
Long Beach State, Bixby Hill, Bixby Village, Bixby Doles. This
will turn into Seventh Street. Well, we're on it, but
we continued to monitor Mac Matt.
Speaker 3 (27:47):
We've got sports time. I mean it's a sports show. Yeah,
he's on hold. I mean I got joining us right now.
Speaker 5 (27:57):
On your Southern California Toyota Doither celebrity hotline. The NCAA
tournament ranges on, as Matt said earlier in the pre show,
the Clippers and Lakers going in opposite directions and really
bums like this guy going the wrong way.
Speaker 2 (28:15):
She's insanity.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
Oh, it is the leading scoring the history of the
PAC twelve.
Speaker 5 (28:26):
His statue in Simi Valley stands above everybody as a
reminder of his awesome mid range.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
Oh my god, he's six doors.
Speaker 3 (28:38):
Yes, it's terrible. He was asking for it, man, I
mean he was really very reckless.
Speaker 5 (28:45):
And the bomb. But it is time for the great.
Don McClain depends on somebody show on a seventy LA sports.
Speaker 3 (28:50):
Oh my blood is home table let's cracking down? How
are you?
Speaker 6 (28:55):
I know how much these car chases mean to you guys,
so I'm more than happy to just lay out No, sure.
Speaker 3 (29:04):
This guy's going real hard.
Speaker 5 (29:07):
He just blew through a bunch of people and just
pushed him out of the way so he could keep
going on Seventh Street. Uh. Anyway, don uh. First and foremost,
we're very happy to have you on that sequence. At
the end of the Laker Bowl game last night. I mean,
not much excites you or get you going about basketball, dog,
I mean, he kind of seen it all, but that
(29:27):
had to be something for you to see along with
the rest of us. Did that blow your mind a
little bit?
Speaker 6 (29:34):
A little bit only because they won the previous night
on a buzzer beater? You know that. I don't think
that's happened very often, if at all, that back to
back nights you win one and then lose one at
the buzzer. But yeah, the Lakers got some things to
clean up, and you know, I think they're solidly in
the playoffs. I don't think they're in danger of falling
back to the playing but I don't think you want
to head into the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
How they're playing right now, you see, I don't know
if they had any timeouts left on or not. This
is incredible. But your kind of idea of letting your guys,
you know, make a play as opposed to letting the
defense get set kind of what what is? What do
you prefer?
Speaker 6 (30:13):
I prefer just going. I think when you call a
time out in that defensive set, they've obviously scouted you.
They senior end the game into half into quarter plays,
and they know them, so they can kind of talk
about that. I'd rather just go and Look, you're talking
about NBA players. They paid, they get paid a lot
of money for a reason because they can make plays
like that, not forty five footers or whatever it was.
(30:35):
But you'd rather just be free flowing guys with a
ball in their hands and making a play versus trying to,
you know, attack a set defense. So I've and in
games I do, Matt, I talk about that a lot,
whether to call a timeout or not. Look, just because
I like that way doesn't mean it's the right way.
But I've just in my opinion of watching and doing
(30:55):
and playing in so many games that I've done over
the years. I feel like that's the best way.
Speaker 4 (31:00):
To do it.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
Cover the earth.
Speaker 5 (31:03):
Don McClane joins us right now on the Petrosen Money
Show on a seventy LA Sports Don, I finally went to.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
The end too a dome. I did not make it
saying hi the other night. Yeah, well, you know, I
was in the VIP area with the Toyota Times.
Speaker 6 (31:20):
I figgered, we don't get to go to the VIP
area like you, like you guys do.
Speaker 5 (31:24):
That's a pretty impressive building down I mean, it really is.
I can you imagine them ever making a building like
that in your lifetime? I mean, I I really you
know me, I'm not impressed by much. That has to
be the most impressive venue on earth.
Speaker 6 (31:39):
Especially when all three of us have been to as
many arenas as we've been to and they all kind
of look the same for the most part. When you
walk down on the floor and you look up at
the seats and that the video board up top, it's
just so different from anything you've ever been in in
an arena that the wall makes it look a lot different.
That halo board is insane, and so yeah, from day
(32:02):
one when I first walked in there. I was blown
away by how different it was and how you know,
how much how different it is, but yet enhancing the
fan experience. But it's I've told people, and I think
I've said it on the show, like even if you're
not a Clipper fan, just go see the building. It's
worth It's worth going to.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
See just on its own, don just in terms of
the team that's playing inside the into It Dome and
how well they're playing now and what you can attribute
that to. In terms of the Clippers seemingly kind of
figured out whatever it was that maligned them for that
two or three week window.
Speaker 6 (32:39):
Well, I think a lot of it was Norman Palell
being out, you know, their leading scorer, and I think,
I think, and I don't know this, I'm just from
Afar looking at it. I think this was always kind
of the plan. Not that you want guys in and
out of the lineup, but they had guys in and
out of the line it. But it was like right
around this time, where all right, we get everybody back,
we make the push, we get in the playoffs, we
(33:00):
get out of the playing tournament, and we're ready to
go for the playoffs. So I think it was a
little bit of pale being out. Kawhi has always been
a little bit in and out. But they've expected that
and they prepared for that. But I think just the
time of the year, with you know, fifteen games or
so left, let's get right, let's get on a roll
and get some momentum going into the playoffs.
Speaker 5 (33:20):
The one and only Don McClain a here on to
the people on the Peterson Money Show on AMPI seventy
LA Sports. Don McClain no stranger to a back and
forth with a media guy or a basketball guy where
they just, you know, like Steven A versus Lebron. You know,
Don McClain says his thing, the guy comes back, then
(33:43):
Don McClain says another thing.
Speaker 3 (33:45):
Do you kind of like that WWE style stuff, Don?
Or does it bother you?
Speaker 6 (33:52):
I guess it depends on the context of it and
who it's with, who the back and forth is with.
If it's with one of you two, yeah it's great.
But somebody I don't know, or you know, just some
guy popping off, then you know, it's a little different.
So I'm not opposed to it. I've always been, as
you guys know, I've always been one to call him
like I see him, and sometimes that has raised the
(34:12):
ire of Yeah, it's raised the ire of whoever I
was talking about. But I'm not a I'm not saying
I looked, I look for it, but I'm also not
afraid of it either. I guess.
Speaker 2 (34:24):
Yeah, we were talking about it the other day. Don
just the season that that Shay Gilgess Alexander is putting together.
I think I saw the stat where he's got two
hundred and fifty more points score than the next person
in line. It feels like he's running away with the MVP.
I know Jokis has done some ridiculous things this year
as well, but we mentioned that that. You know, the
(34:47):
story goes that the Jerry West was like, I don't
care if Kawhi won't sign with US, I still wouldn't
trade the guy. You knew him really well, Like, did
you know then that that was was going to be
something that they very well might really really regret doing.
Speaker 6 (35:01):
Well, you have to understand why they did it at
that point. Did I know that Shaye was going to
be a really good player? Yes, I did know that.
Did I think he'd be the MVP of the league?
Not a chance? And that's hard. That's hard to predict,
and it's and it's hard to you know, wrap your
head around, especially when you're trying to do what the
Clippers were trying to do at the time, bringing Paul
(35:23):
George and Kawhi Leonard like you, anybody would have done
that deal. That being said, you run the risk of
what's happened with Shae that he's become one of the
best players in the league, probably going to be m
v P this year. But the thing for me was,
Shae isn't so much just as individual is that how
good Oklahoma City is. And we've talked about Sam Presty
(35:43):
for years on the show and how good he is,
but I think it's unusual for a player as young
as Shay still is. Yes, Sam has put the right
pieces around him, but when you're the best player and
one of the best players in the league, it's up
to you to rally those guys together and bring them
together you have a good locker room, and Shay has
done that, and I don't think that gets talked about enough.
(36:04):
All his numbers and the points and everything is true,
but what he's done for the culture of that team
in that locker room you can just tell by watching
him play they all like each other, and that's hard
to do in this era of the NBA, with guys
making so much money, guys on their own programs, to
bring them together to have as good of a team
as they have with him leading it, That to me
(36:27):
is what's just as special is what he's doing with
the production.
Speaker 5 (36:32):
Don I'm gonna ask you about college and just jerk
the wheel a little bit. You know, there's a lot
of lamentation about Cinderella being dead, but a lot of
the people that are lamenting Cinderella being dead in college
basketball are the ones that celebrated the NILA it.
Speaker 3 (36:48):
Came out, you know.
Speaker 5 (36:50):
I mean there's all kinds of different results, good and
bad from all the different changes in college sports.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
But have you enjoyed the tournament so far?
Speaker 6 (37:00):
Answer that question is yes. I was just going to
ask you if I can come on for the next
five segments to go over how I feel about college
basketball right now in the portal in NIL and everything else.
We're now going through it again with Trent. He decommitted
from West Virginia because the coach went to Indiana. But
now we're waiting on the portal. How about this. You
know what a guy told me yesterday, a really well
connected guy told me yesterday that of the Power four
(37:24):
conferences okay, Big ten, acc Big twelve, and what's the
other on the SEC SEC sorry, that if you're a
rotation player in one of those four leagues, meaning top
eight players, what you are now getting in the portal
half a million dollars? What?
Speaker 5 (37:44):
Wow?
Speaker 6 (37:45):
Every single player? Half a million dollars is the going rate?
Speaker 3 (37:51):
Not even start?
Speaker 6 (37:51):
That's where we that's yeah, that's where we are now
in college basketball. Now it's going to change with the
rev sharing thing and Pee, I don't know what you've
heard on the phone ball side, but it sounds like
the rev sharing thing that's getting voted on April seventh
is going to change this where it's not going to
be as much money all the way around. If you
have real true nil deals meeting with Gatorade or Nike
(38:13):
or whatever, you still get that nil money. But just
this free flowing money of we'll give you one hundred
and fifty grand to go to the car dealership and
sign autographs for half an hour. That stuff, for my understanding,
is going to kind of go away. So that will
slow this down a little bit, but it's just wrong.
And maybe I'm a little biased right now because of
the situation trends in but how is it that a
(38:34):
kid that can play and play high major Division one
basketball has to wait for the portal that has twelve
hundred kids in it because for the most part, they're
in there to get paid. They're not there because they
didn't like where they were at. For most of them,
they're in there because they had a good year and
now they're cashing in. And that's where we're at in
(38:54):
college basketball. To me, Look, I've always been for players
to get paid, but this is ridiculous, Like it's spin.
It's out of control. And hopefully with this rev sharing
thing on the horizon that it will change.
Speaker 2 (39:08):
Last thing done real quick after the weekend. Do you
think we have all four one seeds in the final four?
Speaker 6 (39:14):
I know we for sure have two, maybe three. I
think Duke and Florida our hands down the two best teams.
I think Houston could be the other one that's there.
I'm not sure about Auburn. That's gonna be a good
game tonight with Michigan. We got to camp McLean invites
going head to head tonight Danny Wolf and Jenni Broome.
So that's something to watch for us.
Speaker 5 (39:34):
Camp McLean, where smiles are not at a premium, let go,
they are not. No, hey, hey, coach, give us a smile.
Speaker 6 (39:43):
Andy, don't you dare put your hands on your shorts
and lean over. If you do that, you're really in trouble.
Speaker 3 (39:50):
Throw up on your chest.
Speaker 5 (39:52):
We love you, don thank you for doing it. And
during one of the gnarliest police chases we've ever seen.
Speaker 2 (39:58):
Probably better that we didn't have it.
Speaker 3 (40:00):
Yeah, that last crash.
Speaker 2 (40:01):
Yeah, they're they're pulling pulling that person out.
Speaker 6 (40:03):
Now, I think, yeah, oh god.
Speaker 5 (40:06):
Yeah, Well it looked like it was Deacon Jones behind
the wheels, right, the dude was clocking in and at
least six Yeah, and he fell on that CoP's head
and crushed that one CoP's head. That cop is still
a little in concussion protocol right now. Yeah, it was
the last the last I'm worried about the last guy,
(40:27):
that white car that got hit.
Speaker 2 (40:29):
That's what they're pulling out right now. There there, they
put a neck brace on, they've got the stretcher and
they are pulling that person out right now. So hopefully
it looks as though they're their driver.
Speaker 3 (40:39):
Yes, and if you are in that Sherwin Williams there,
uh wow, right up.
Speaker 4 (40:44):
To the.
Speaker 6 (40:46):
Guys.
Speaker 5 (40:48):
Deacon Jones just pulled up to cover the earth. We
love you, don thank you, and have a great weekend.
Speaker 6 (40:55):
Yeah, have a good weekend, guys.
Speaker 5 (40:57):
Yeah, that one cop got his his melonche watched well,
it looked like he swung on him.
Speaker 2 (41:03):
He wrapped him up from behind.
Speaker 3 (41:04):
Yeah, but then he brought him down. But he brought
him down right on his own, on his own cophead.
Speaker 4 (41:10):
Yeah, yeah, here we go.
Speaker 2 (41:13):
Look at that. They're helping oh this person, uh at
least is kind of they're being helped out of the car,
but standing okay, all right, looks like a very old person.
Speaker 4 (41:22):
By the way.
Speaker 5 (41:22):
Well, I don't like it when it's like a Dave
the David Lynch movie, where like the person's all looseid
and then they.
Speaker 3 (41:27):
Just dropped dead.
Speaker 1 (41:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (41:29):
Yeah, an older gentleman bearded all right, But that was
a gnarly uh then a long time.
Speaker 5 (41:37):
That guy went really went full GTA at the end there. Yeah,
he really just took a stand.
Speaker 2 (41:42):
I mean, there's gotta be what twenty twenty cars that
he had at least at.
Speaker 3 (41:46):
Least a dozen at least the baker doesn't what a moment, yell.
Speaker 5 (41:52):
We still got a lot of great sports talking, a
lot of dishes to wash those kids, David Masse. The
next hour, the Dodgers popping off with the Detroit Tig tonight.
Sum's in the air.
Speaker 3 (42:01):
There's all kinds of car chases. Protect your neck.
Speaker 2 (42:11):
Big thank you to Don McLain. Clipper basketball down part
of that broadcast coming tonight, but on our sister station,
AM eleven fifty with a four to thirty PM tip
because we got Dodgers Tigers here at seven o'clock.
Speaker 5 (42:23):
Very nice conversation with McLean Vasse in the next hour.
Make sure you podcast our show on the iHeartRadio app
for your smartphone. Great sports Talk, the longest running afternoon
sports talk, the history of Los Angeles radio of all
time ever.
Speaker 8 (42:38):
I just applaud you guys at the job you did
as professional broadcasters and the long standing show that you
guys have got going now for nearly two decades. To
be able to watch one of the gnarliest, craziest car
chases ever and still have a great conversation with Don McClain.
Speaker 3 (42:54):
Props to you guys, Thank you, thank you fantastic.
Speaker 8 (42:57):
I know the text dosors are all negative on everything
in life.
Speaker 2 (43:01):
I appreciate the case. I didn't handle it well.
Speaker 4 (43:04):
I did not.
Speaker 2 (43:06):
I was really distracted, incredibly distracted by the carnage that
I was witnessing in front of me. And I should
have been able to compartmentalize.
Speaker 3 (43:14):
That I did not.
Speaker 2 (43:15):
I don't think he killed anybody, but man, man, did
he wreck a whole mess of cars.
Speaker 5 (43:22):
I don't think I've ever seen anybody go harder. No,
And it's probably because of the size and the girth
of that Dodge Ram. Yeah, and yeah, you would have
thought this guy went so hard you would have thought
the Dodge brothers were.
Speaker 3 (43:33):
Behind the wood. I mean it.
Speaker 2 (43:35):
And then just the smooth, strident style after he stepped
out from crashing into the Sherwin Williams like that.
Speaker 5 (43:42):
That's like, that's like John Travolta walking around after staying alive.
It was just strutting around town. It's like, dude, you're
a bad guy. You are a bad guy.
Speaker 4 (43:52):
Guy.
Speaker 5 (43:54):
He almost killed a guy that very end, that veered
him to the right. There was somebody right in the intersect.
Speaker 2 (44:00):
Yeah, I mean, that would have been awful, Like I
almost half expected someone.
Speaker 3 (44:04):
In a live television dismembering.
Speaker 2 (44:06):
Right, like really, we would have been saved by our
domin Klink conversation. The only thing that it was missing
was I expected someone to just come up from behind
him and run him over, like, hey, f you pal,
I'm taking you out.
Speaker 5 (44:18):
Well, the cop that ran him down got his head
smashed by the weight of him and the other cop. Yeah,
like being in on a tackle with Deacon Jones.
Speaker 3 (44:26):
But we'll be back.
Speaker 5 (44:27):
We're a little late, so we will be back. We'll
do your word, we'll do your number, we'll do your
song of the day. We'll talk to David Vesell, David
Versse trying to gets here on the Petrols of Money
show
