Started it two going until five thirty. Because we have
Dodgers Diamondbacks about an hour and a half from now
from the Galpin Motors broadcast booth. First pitch at six
forty pm. We'll have Dodgers on deck at the bottom
of this hour, same schedule tomorrow, I'll play two more
(01:17):
and that'll conclude their ten games in ten days before
a Monday off, much needed Monday off. Yamamoto on the
mound tonight. Maybe he'll be throwing a no hitter.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
If he does, I hope Tim Neverett mentions it. You know,
last time that they were doing the no hitter, he
didn't mention it, you know, like one of those Victor
Rojas type of.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Things for some real bs.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
Well, I mean it's your job.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Yeah, you want to hook people. Hey, don't change the channel.
This guy's throwing a no hitter, and you know, stick.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
Around that no hitter got broken up even though Nevertt
didn't say it must have been because somebody else said something.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Wouldn't that be a jinx on you then for not
saying something. Maybe that's why. Maybe Yamamoto like with the hell,
just do your job, putting all this effort out here
and never it's not even telling people it's a it's
a no hitter.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
It's a pro baseball game in may do your.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Job fourth inning working on a no hitter here, Yeah,
say it, and then you say, no hitter's been broken up.
Say it, We're good, can move forward.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
If I have to go in there and be like
say it, I will fix it. Fix your bs superstition.
We are live everywhere on the iHeartRadio app, and we
fixed our problem as far as being on such short shows.
We got three and a half hours today and three
and a half hours tomorrow. And truly it is true.
(02:41):
The two o'clock to five point thirty start, it's a
real kick in the junk. It's a real it's a
real it's trench work.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
Yeah, it's just like for Matt and I it's I
can't I obsess over it. Unfortunately, it's terrible. Don't mind
doing a three to seven show, No problem at all.
We'll do one on Monday, no problem, very excited.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
No, we're happy.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
No flipping wit, no problem that too. But uh, the
two to five thirty show before us goes for two.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
Yeah, I don't mind starting one.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
Yeah, I'm with you, but two, because it's typically one
to three is what we're doing. There's something about the
two click start. Oh, Chep's are ass man.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
But either way, we're here, yes, and the final arm
of fun Factor is here as well.
Speaker 2 (03:32):

Did you know Arizona is the sixth largest state by area.
(04:15):
All six states of New England, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire,
Rhode Island in Vermont fit inside of Arizona. Wow right,
We don't think of it as one of the big ones.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
It is big.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
It's a big one.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
I've got some ocean front property in Arizona. From my house,
you can see the sea. You like that one?
Speaker 2 (04:37):
I do like that one.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
The five o'clock hours brought to you by Marongo Casino
Resort and SPA less than ninety minutes down to ten
from wherever you are Marongo's in the moon. Four.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
I was gonna say, look, good time, A good time,
all right, let's go com toms quicketch I'll make it quick, y'all?
Speaker 3 (05:01):
Oh yeah will. The Dodgers are twenty five and twelve
on the season, first place atop the NL West. The
Dodgers are four and two on their road trip, which
now goes to Arizona for a four game series. Gosh,
I hope there's not a no hitter tonight versus the
d Backs, who are nineteen and eighteen and they're playing
five hundred baseball the last ten games. The Angels, we're
(05:26):
we're coming fresh off an hour, last hour talking about him.
They won two in a row against the Blue Jays,
including a walk off Wain last night at the Big A,
with some help from the Angels in the outfield.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
Like the left field nine comes in, Shuto's on.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
His way times to go to lay the moon.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
Shoto Roll comes.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
Home, bets over to the Blue Jers. Hey, so wins
ut for the Angels.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
An angel with you right now to help?
Speaker 2 (05:57):
So what it was? It's exactly.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
Don't you'll see those guys out there in the sparkly
pajamas next to the thunder Mountain.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
That's the signal.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
You see the angels standing there right next to that
guy from your belendo who's drunk.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
I got nothing left, Yeah you do. You got one
strike left. He got an angry with you right now.
You just got here, just just gonna help.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
Sure, Yeah, I'm sure, just got here.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
Former LA Laker role player and NBA head coach Byron
Scott is being sued for an alleged nineteen eighty seven
sexual assault. The lawsuit, which was first filed in California
in December twenty twenty two and amended earlier this month,
accuses Scott of sexual battery and false imprisonment. The amendment
earlier this month included Scott's name, which he fought to
(06:58):
have removed from the complaint. Understandably prior to the release
of the amended lawsuit, a judge denied his request. According
to the complaint, Scott, who was twenty six at the
time it's been thirty plus years, sexually assaulted the then
fifteen year old victim in the janitor's closet of the
Campbell Hall High School gymnasium. Scott, a member of the
(07:21):
Lakers at the time of the assault, which took place
during the off season. They were filming an instructional basketball
video in the high school gym and were meeting with students, parents,
and faculty members.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
Well, that's terrible.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
It is terrible. It's been a long time since it happened,
but a situation at a high school very troubling. Well, Matt.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
In the world of lawsuits, this is a stupid story.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
Well, I don't deserve that a football fan is suing
the NFL for one hundred million dollars for what severe
emotional distress and trauma.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
I'd get behind emotional distress because.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
Colorado quarterbacks should doer. Sanders unexpectedly dropped to the fifth
round of last month's draft. In a lawsuit filed on
May Day in the US District Court for the Northern
District of Georgia, Buffalo's fan Eric Jackson I'm a big
bus fan, alleged that the NFL had violated the Sherman
Anti Trust Act for collusion and possibly violated the Civil
(08:24):
Rights Act for race discrimination, as well as a consumer
protection law for misrepresenting the nature of the drafting process
and the qualifications of players.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
I think they'll probably settle after that.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
Oh yeah, I could see the NFL running scared because
you know, I mean, they haven't drafted a black guy
in forever.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
No, that guy that went number one overall on ward.
I don't know, you know.
Speaker 3 (08:48):
No, is there anything better than an A A plus?
Speaker 2 (08:51):
Maybe?
Speaker 3 (08:51):
Look, when the NFL finally drafts a black guy, then
we can start talking about the end of racism.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
Is there something better than an A A plus? I guess no?
Is it? No? No?
Speaker 1 (09:02):
No?
Speaker 2 (09:02):
Former Alabama coach Nick Saban dynamic on the television.
Speaker 3 (09:06):
Oh come on, Matt, look at that feathered hair.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
He is expected to coach chair President Donald Trump's Commission
into College Athletics.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
I mean, something's got to happen. But that I mean,
they're not going to be in charge. What do they do?
Just I don't like this. It's like a normal congressional
thing where everybody just sits there and complains.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
He wants a discussion about potential NIL reform. Texas businessman
Cody Campbell, the founder of Texas Tech's Mattador Club and
Ile Collective and chairman of the Texas Tech Board of Regents,
will service the co chair alongside Satan.
Speaker 3 (09:35):
As long as we get to spare normal money, right right?
Speaker 2 (09:38):
I don't like what college football has become. It's not
what I remember it as.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
What do you remember it as? You crooked bastard.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
I was the only one that could spend money. Yeah,
I Boosters had the deepest paper bag. It was like
a grocery bag, not a lunch bag. Attack intimidate anybody.
The commission would examine prominent issues. Hey, we're going to
examine that issue, is what we're gonna do.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
I mean, I don't in college football is perfect. But
the only people that can fix it are the are
the TV stations.
Speaker 2 (10:05):
But they're gonna look at it. Saban and this Cody Campbell,
Texas Tech Matador club chairman right here. Wow, and me,
Nick Saban, I'm gonna I'm gonna look into it.
Speaker 3 (10:16):
I guess there's worse people to look into it. I
don't know, I mean who I mean, I'd rather have
Nick Saban looking into it than Cliff Kingsbury, right, I
don't know.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
It's Cliff doing it from that sweet house.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
I want another sweet house. That's what I want.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
Just doesn't make sense.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
How about some manicured grounds around that out?
Speaker 6 (10:33):
The guy who's upset about the way things are is
on a committee with the guy who helped make it
how it is now right, Why does he just look
across the table and go, hey, mister Campbell, you ruined it.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
Just just look Invite ESPN and Fox and just get
some scheduling uniformity. That's one step. That's all we need.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
One mentioned that because guess what, there's more money being
thrown around.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
According to the Athletic ESPN TV would be willing to
add money to its me he writes the the SEC
if they add a ninth league game to the schedule.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
Guys, what do you think about ditching this these games
against Mercer?
Speaker 3 (11:08):
You know it is our tradition.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
I understand November and we like to bring a lamb
to sloughs thinking maybe not your mercer, Maybe you take
a pass on that in North Carolina, A and t Okay.
But and we just whip out our big member and
we have our weight. What if we got on the
fifty eighty million dollars and then.
Speaker 3 (11:30):
We're all warmed up and greased up for the Iron.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
Bowl fifty to eighty million dollars.
Speaker 3 (11:35):
After I gird my loins and get my workout with Famoo.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
After that, guys, if you'll ditch Northwest Missouri State, We'll
give you eighty million dollars a year.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
I'm not getting rid of Nemo Northwest Missouri State.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
ESPN already pays him eight hundred and eleven million dollars
per year. They would bump that up to nine hundred
million if they would just ditch one of the patsys.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
Well, and it's one more reason to not have a committee.
If we have uniformity with the schedule, we don't need
Condy Rice and Dan Guerrero sip an Earl gray tea
in front of a flat screen.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
I do declare, Oh.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
Sir, this four season's egg breakfast is soul savory.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
You've had a more delicious holidays in your life?
Speaker 3 (12:22):
Also have not.
Speaker 6 (12:25):
That's like five million dollars for each team in the SEC.
Additional right, if you had a night.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
Friend, his name is fairy Corn. Fairy well, yeah, Corn, very.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
Interest you in this key?
Speaker 3 (12:40):
Anthony Peoples Junior, Yeah, APJ People's are peoples. So why
should it be that North Carolina Central can't keep their
six but nine forward? He's committed as a transfer to UCLA.
Anthony Peoples Junior was a former teammate of Donovan Dent.
(13:01):
How do you know that it says here colda Centennial
Dent is a big time get for UCLA and the
transfer portal. How do you know that? Again hard to
hear on the paper, and people's is a huge addition
for I mean, he's not eight feet tall like the
guy from Spain who left. But I don't think we're
(13:25):
gonna get along very awfully.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
This never happens, right.
Speaker 6 (13:30):
You land a big recruit and the recruits like, hey,
I want my buddy to come he's at a difference place,
or I want him to come.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
From my high school. That never happens, right. You don't
bring somebody with you, well unless you're bringing your dad too,
and he's gonna be at the end of the day,
what got this guy? Who is that? That dude's dead?
Speaker 3 (13:44):
When people shows up, he's gonna go mall, mall, mall.
The Anaheim Ducks have hired a coach, Matt one of
the most Ennville irrelevant teams in all of sports.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
They hired Quinnville. Uh quote, this is the organization I
wanted to restart my career with and I am truly
grateful for this opportunity. Incredible ownership, management, passionate fans, maybe
not the last one and nearly four years away from
the game. I have learned from my prior mistakes. It
will be actions over words that demonstrate my commitment to
(14:20):
being a better leader. He has been out of the
NHL since twenty one. He resigned as the Panthers coach,
and the fallout of the investigation into the Blackhawks the
Ducks did is what happened? I don't know.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
Oh come on, Matt, don't keep it was the old coach.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
It was really bad.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
Well how come he can get how bad they figured
it was so bad? How come he gets to be
the Ducks.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
Coach they found out eleven years later?
Speaker 3 (14:44):
I mean, it is ain't like who's yours, Norman Dale,
where you got to go to the library and look
it up and find the microfesian see the Normandale socked.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
Give me that micro film. He's learned from his mistakes. Yes,
what did he do? He knew about what was happening,
But he's back in twenty there was an assistant coach
that was beating up dudes.
Speaker 6 (15:03):
Well he was sexually assaulting the player. Oh no, yeah,
this was a video coach that was sexually assaulting the player.
Back in twenty ten, Quinnville knew about it at the time,
but I guess the organization did nothing about it.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
Like Robin Williams in that Weird movie where he was
developing the film like that.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
Later it came out that he knew about it. Oh no,
that's the story's taking a terrible turn. I mean between
Byron Scott right, what a quick hits?
Speaker 3 (15:29):
Is this guy? Quick? It's Thursday, Matt. He never knew
about it.
Speaker 6 (15:34):
He claims he never knew about it, but I guess
they looked into it and they the organization didn't.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Yeah, don't miss Angel Cities Mother's Day match. They're playing
the Utah Royals tomorrow. Angel City FC three three and

Speaker 7 (16:04):
I'm not a cat. I don't save me out. I
go move, I say move, excuse me?
Speaker 2 (16:19):
He's doing sign. You don't know the dosha cat, You've.
Speaker 3 (16:23):

I'm a cow. B word I'm a cow? No, all right,
