Speaker 5 (00:38):
Yeah, let's play sixty seconds on the clock. Just got
to get ten right in the road to win. Let's go,
name any breed of dog, a golden doodle? What is
the current or who is the current King of England?

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Williams, trans Williams or whatever his name is?

Speaker 6 (00:58):
Charles?

Speaker 2 (00:59):
It is Charles, Oh, charl will next in line?

Speaker 6 (01:03):
Oh, I said it was so confident, So.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
I thought you had it. I know. I had to look,
Oh okay, well car one in a row, one in
a row.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Well I was gonna say Prince Charles, but that wouldn't
be right, right, is King Charles?

Speaker 2 (01:22):
What a bummer? Uh?

Speaker 1 (01:25):
So okod here's why I And it wasn't planned. It
wasn't planned at all. It just kind of happen. So Friday,
my wife and I wanted my wife want to go
on a date to the mall. She bought this card
that you get twenty percent off certain stores. Right, so
we had to go to every freaking store, which there
were thousands of stores. And I was like, I'm not
going to go to this part of town, this part time,
this part town. We'll go to the mall and you

(01:45):
can hit whatever stores you can hit there. But turns
out there were thousands of stores in that mall, that
part of that car and like Lululemon and all that stuff, right,
And then went to Nicks Men's War. I went in
there to try on some stuff because I'm gonna I'm
gonna need a suit for some been coming up. But
we're leaving the mall and there's a new restaurant in
the mall called Either Swan Society or Society Swan. It's

(02:09):
Sam Fox's new restaurant, right, and it was fantastic. What
do they have it's the old ConA grill. I don't
they have. They have like normal food like steak fish.
But there was a salad there. My wife God that
said is one of the best stylids she ever had.
And I had the salmon. And it's brand new, like
this thing just opened up last week, not on purpose,
we're just walking buying the mall.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Went there. Then on Saturday she.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Wanted to walk to We walked to a new restaurant
to just open up in our neighborhood.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
It used to be the Little O's. Now it's called
these are called Funky.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Frieda's or Freaky Frida's and it's on Indian School and
that's that was really good. To add a carnas out
of bowl that was really really good.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Are totally different. I think it's the same owners.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
And then yesterday we went my son Dutch checked this out.
Dutch what We woke up Saturday morning and there were
people all over my house. Dutch came home with a
bunch of his friends from his dorm. They and instead
there's a bus that takes a lot of kids back
and forth from you and a to the Phoenix. And
it's called the Flicks Bus. You've heard the Flicks bus.

(03:08):
And the Flicks Bus was ninety bucks. So him and
the and his two buddies took an uber from Tucson
to Phoenix and split it three ways. And my son
Jake had his friends over because they were playing the
whiffleball tournament. So when Dutch came home with his friends,
Jake's friends were all spread out everywhere, so everyone else.
So I woke up Saturday morning and there were people

(03:29):
everywhere all over my house sleeping. So when we yesterday,
Blake wanted to take everybody to lunch, and we went
to the new Arcadia Tavern, which used to be cheeseburgers
and cold beer, yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
On Indian School. And that was good.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
And I just realized this morning I went the three
brand new those all those restaurants have opened up.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
In the last week, experienced every one of us.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
That's surprising for you too. I know first of all
that you went somewhere different than the usual places. I
wouldn't thought you would have been Ahi poke, you bole
all three days.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
I would have it wasn't.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
It wasn't in my universe. Everything was right there. But
I saw Coyle's at the mall too.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
I know I could have used you were saying that.
I'm like, I could have used that twenty percent off.
Oh yeah, that would have been great. Because it was
finally time to do part two of my daughter's birthday party,
which was the mall Scavenger Hunt. I told you guys
last week it was kind of like I didn't know
how it was going to go because I had approached
a couple of the stores ahead of time and they
looked at me like I was maybe possibly crazy. But

(04:24):
I was so happy with how it went. In ten
out of ten, recommend doing a mall Scavenger Hunt birthday
party if you have a tween, because everyone loved it.
So we started off in the food court and Addie
got to get Panda Express, just her favorite lunch. She's like,
it's the best day ever when you get Panda Express.
And while they were in the food court with my friend,

(04:44):
I went to a couple of stores and I had
to drop off the bags that I had already pre
picked out. I was a little irritated because I did
generate all of the codes and clues on chat GPT,
but because I don't do the paid chat epte only
gave me two of the images. I couldn't actually print
them up. But it ended up being okay because Addie

(05:06):
was really into it when I was like, I'm going
to text you the clues, and she's like, oh cool,
and I'm like, okay, it's a digital era, might as
well text to the clues anyways. So first things first,
we went to bed Bathroom body Works and they each
got to pick out their own sanitizer, and then they
each had a task in each store that would earn them.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
The next clue.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
So they had to say why they picked that flavor
or scent and then how it showed some of their personality.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
And so then I text them the next clue, and.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
We go into Build a Bear and they each pick
a mini bear and they have to name the bear
to get their next clue. And then the next clue
was to go to Sophora, and I had gone into
Sephora and given them the bags that I had pre
purchased right and they each had like a little Sol
de Janeiro body fragrance and a little lipgloss in it
and Sephora added an entire makeup bag full of goodies

(05:57):
for the girls, and it was so kind of that.
I was not expecting that, and they were like, here,
when they come in, have them look for the employee
with the HB patches on their shirt for Happy Birthday.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
I was like, oh my god, it's amazing.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
It's the four children all thank you so much, shout
out to you. And then they went into Lululemon and
lu Leimon did kind of the same thing. They hid
the bag in the store for the girls and so
they had to find it with the clue. And then
we ended up at Africam and the girls were like,
this is the best ever. And they just like felt
so cool walking through the mall with like five shopping bag.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
Yeah, totally.

Speaker 6 (06:32):
I remember being like their age and going shopping with
my mom and I wanted to hold all the bags
and I would have them go all the way up
my arms. The bags weighed more than me. I love that,
and I love that you did the text thing because
it just reminded me of like Love Island when it's
like I got a tag.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Really, I remember Sephora because then they just teach that
in nobody wants this.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
It was a Jewish name and she knows that. The
mom said, that's where I was thinking about.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
Mom says. The mom says, trying to convert to Judaism.
And they quiz her and she says, it's blah blah
blah blah, which then translate what is it?

Speaker 2 (07:09):
You know what it is? Oh? What? Oh? That line six?
Oh that's what this is about. Amy.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
Yes, Hi, guys, Hi, what's up? I was listening to
a podcast where you're talking about your dermatologist.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Oh, okay, yes, and I have.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
An experience with my dermatologist.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
What happened?

Speaker 5 (07:28):
So I'm a.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
Redhead, so I go to the dermatologist often. And you
were talking about how thorough yours was, and my dermatologist
is probably even more thorough. I don't get like a
little cotton blanket, but basically, you go in and she
checks you from head to toe, all over your scalp,
you lift boobs, you drop your trow you bend over,

(07:51):
spread your cheeks, open your toes, everything. She looks all
over every inch of your body. And the first time
I went I was a little taken back, like really
my toes like on my butt cheeks. But she is
so thorough. So I'm so used to that. So that's
exactly how they should be.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
That's what Pat Hickey does before you buy a car.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
He calls it check in your credit.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
Well, that's very thorough. But they don't give me a
com blanket. It was a piece of paper. It was
a blanket, piece of paper. I don't know, it's.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
Weird, Okay, yeah, but yeah, I don't get that. She
just says, drop it so and then pull it back up.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
Well, I'm glad you share that with us, and you
got it's important when you live here to get your
skin checked. I've learned that big time because I'm all
my whole face is all chopped up. Well, have a
great day, Amy, thanks for listening, you.

Speaker 5 (08:38):
Too, Bye guys.
